- 1:51Carlson musk. Recently met with top White

- 2:06Who oversees infrastructure, spending to discuss the
- 2:09possibility of Tesla and the by Denis Administration working
- 2:13together to advance EV production and charging the
- 2:17meeting highlights Biden's commitment to electric vehicles
- 2:19and the importance he attaches to the infrastructure and
- 2:22inflation reduction laws passed last year.
- 2:25Now, Tesla has long been a major player in the EV Market.
- 2:29With a company being a recipient of tax subsidies given to buyers
- 2:33of Evie's and Tesla's commitment to sustainability.
- 2:36Has made it a leader in the industry.
- 2:38It is no surprise that the by the administration would be
- 2:42interested in working with the automaker to Advanced electric
- 2:45vehicle production and charging now it's worth noting that the
- 2:48relationship between Biden and musk has been strained in the
- 2:52past and Biden has pushed for companies to use union labor,
- 2:55while musk has been known to push against the use of unions
- 2:59and Factories. And in addition, Biden has
- 3:02publicly compared Tesla unfavorably to other automakers,
- 3:06such as Ford leading to some tension between the two.
- 3:10However, despite the tensions musk has long-standing
- 3:14relationships with the US government, it is continued to
- 3:16benefit from these relationships under the Biden Administration.
- 3:20In addition to receiving tax subsidies for EVS, musk's rocket
- 3:24company SpaceX has contracts worth billions of dollars to
- 3:28deliver astronauts and cosmonauts.
- 3:29Cargo to and from the International Space Station and
- 3:33the recent 430 billion dollar US inflation reduction Act passed.
- 3:40Last August has set new requirements for Ev receiving
- 3:44tax credits, which must be North American-made and have
- 3:48restrictions on vehicle prices and income for buyers who are
- 3:51eligible for the credits and the law.
- 3:53Also sets new battery sourcing restrictions expected to take
- 3:57effect in March and includes new US battery.
- 4:00Auction credits that must kiss said could have significant
- 4:03benefits to the company. Now, the recent meeting between
- 4:06musk and top White House officials is an indication of
- 4:10the B administration's commitment to EVs, and the
- 4:13desire to work with Tesla to advance the goal.
- 4:16And the u.s. is quickly, becoming a leader in the EV
- 4:18market and the collaboration between Tesla and the Biden.
- 4:21In a demonstration, will only further this trend with EVS
- 4:25becoming more popular every day. It's important for the
- 4:28government to work. With major players in the
- 4:31industry to ensure that the transition to electric vehicles
- 4:34is as smooth as possible. Now, this meeting between Tesla
- 4:38CEO and top White House. Officials is a very positive
- 4:42step in the right direction. For the advancement of Evie's in
- 4:46the u.s. test as being a major player in the industry.
- 4:49It's important for the B Administration to work.
- 4:52With the company to ensure that the US remains at the Forefront
- 4:55of the electric vehicle. Revolution and as Eevee's become
- 4:59more popular. It will be increasingly
- 5:01important for the government to work with major players in the
- 5:04industry. To ensure that the transition to
- 5:07EVS is a success in other Tesla news during Tesla's conference
- 5:12call for the release of its quarter for 2022 Financial
- 5:15results. Elon Musk was asked about the
- 5:17possibility of offering a retrofit to the new autopilot,
- 5:21self-driving, Hardware, H W4 to current Tesla owners.
- 5:26However, the CEO declined, the idea due to the cost and
- 5:29Complexity of retrofitting Hardware 3 with hardware for and
- 5:33he stated that it would not be economically feasible to do so.
- 5:37Despite this musk still believes that Tesla's full self-driving
- 5:40promises, will be achieved with the current Hardware 3, which
- 5:44should provide some reassurance to current owners.
- 5:48Then musk went on to explain the hardware 3 will not be as
- 5:51advanced as hardware for, but he's confident that it will far
- 5:54exceed, the safety of the average human driver.
- 5:58He added that the ultimate goal is to improve.
- 5:59The average safety on the road and that Hardware three could be
- 6:03200 to 300 percent safer than humans.
- 6:07While hardware for might be 500 to 600 percent safer.
- 6:12However, the CEO did not mention Tesla's plans to achieve True
- 6:17full self driving capability that would be approved by
- 6:20Regulators, which has been the company's promise to owners
- 6:24since 2016 despite this. It's clear that Tesla is
- 6:28constantly making advances. In its hardware and software.
- 6:31In the new H, W4 will not be an exception to that the recent
- 6:36reports of Tesla adding new autopilot cameras and radar
- 6:38sensors to its vehicles. In the fact that is applied for
- 6:42modifications to its vehicles and China are just a few
- 6:45examples of this. Now, Tesla owners can look
- 6:47forward to continued improvements in the safety and
- 6:50capabilities of their vehicles. In the future, we have some
- 6:55exciting SpaceX news to share with you Sunday afternoon
- 6:58January 29th, 2012. III.
- 7:00There is a map of Elon musk's jet heading to Brownsville Texas
- 7:06on his way to Starbase. So that means the Elon Musk is
- 7:10headed to Starbase to check out the next iteration of this
- 7:14Starship. Booster 7 test B7 the 33 engine
- 7:20static fire tests. We've covered this numerous
- 7:23times in past episodes of the podcast.
- 7:25So if you could go back and listen to those, there's plenty
- 7:28of information there. But I'm going to break it down
- 7:30for you in a couple minutes. So you know, what's going on the
- 7:35booster. Seven is the next iteration.
- 7:37The current iteration actually of the booster that will be
- 7:41sending Starship into a, it's an orbital flight, but they called
- 7:47it an orbital test flight. It's not quite into orbit, but
- 7:50it almost goes all the way around the earth.
- 7:52One time. It's close enough.
- 7:53Basically is what do you on musk has said?
- 7:56So the booster seven, huge staff, 33 engines have never
- 7:59Been tested on this booster before.
- 8:01So there's plenty of work to do in between now and then before
- 8:05they test this and a SpaceX official the other day commented
- 8:10that there's a possibility, a high possibility, the SpaceX
- 8:13could be testing this booster sometime in the coming week of
- 8:17January 30th plus. So there's road closures on
- 8:23Tuesday and Wednesday of this coming week, not on Monday, but
- 8:28Tuesday and Wednesday, There's Road Closures of Highway 4,
- 8:31which means SpaceX usually does something on those days that
- 8:34they close the road, whether it's a test or they move
- 8:36something from one part of the facility to the next part of the
- 8:39facility, one of those things could happen.
- 8:43And if it's a booster 7 test, we will know more than likely the
- 8:47night before because there will be a closing of the road.
- 8:52And also there will be a high pressure warning for the
- 8:56residents of Boca Chica Village nearby.
- 8:59So if that's the case, they will Evacuate the people from the
- 9:03village in they're going to give them hopefully a whole night's
- 9:06warning, sometimes they do it. The morning of the test, but
- 9:11hopefully they give them a good 12 hours beforehand and they
- 9:15hook those people up with a hotel room and on the, on the
- 9:19island close by. So it's a very interesting time
- 9:24for Brownsville a very interesting time of for
- 9:26Starbase. In a very interesting time for
- 9:28Elon Musk. Because of this works, they
- 9:31could be seeing an orbital flight test of Starship within
- 9:36the next two weeks if they get FAA approval.
- 9:40And basically they have to prove that the ship and the booster
- 9:45will be ready for flight. The FAA has to look through all
- 9:48the data that SpaceX has collected through all of the
- 9:51tests that they've done and then they'll move forward with FAA
- 9:54regulation and they'll give them a go for the launch of the star.
- 9:59Our ship orbital flight, it's a very exciting time.
- 10:02We could possibly see an orbital flight within the next month.
- 10:06Passably two months. And that's according to Elon
- 10:10Musk. Thank you for listening to the
