MINIMAL PHASES ON A HIGH PLATEAU Two interlocking ronroco motifs gradually overlap, fade in and out, shift and modulate, moving between melody and rhythm. An evolving infrabass line anchors the track , while lush orchestral string washes bring depth and continuity to the short arpeggios. Steve Reich has been a major influence on my music for around 40 years. This piece is my own take on phasing: less about strict minimalist processes, more about controlled shifts, interlocking patterns and melodic counterpoint. Happy Birthday, Mr. Reich!
