Speaker 2: this week's Adopt Me please put it. The week brought
2:55
Speaker 2: to you by Almost Heaven Interiors, located in South Charleston,
2:59
Speaker 2: and as always are Critter's Pick is posted Dave Allen
3:02
Speaker 2: Radio on Facebook and also the WHS network Facebook page
3:05
Speaker 2: and Dave Alan on x Ang. Welcome to the show.
3:09
Speaker 5: Hi, good morning. I'm happy to be here.
3:11
Speaker 2: I saw you on TV just a couple of days ago.
3:13
Speaker 2: See you were coming to Queen of All Media. You
3:16
Speaker 2: cannot just contain you to radio. Now you're branching out
3:20
Speaker 2: into television.
3:22
Speaker 5: Yeah, that's the goal, is to just be on every
3:25
Speaker 5: sort of media that I can. Newspaper is next.
3:30
Speaker 2: Well, I don't know about newspaper. That may not be
3:32
Speaker 2: the best route for you to go. Uh, just kidding
3:35
Speaker 2: with our friends in the newspaper business. All right, So
3:37
Speaker 2: our pictures posted. As I said, we got a lovely
3:40
Speaker 2: kiddy by the name of Jay. Tell us about Jay.
3:44
Speaker 5: So Jay, if you saw our Facebook post this week
3:47
Speaker 5: about a dog and around fourteen cats being dumped overnight
3:50
Speaker 5: at a shelter, Jay is part of that crew. He
3:54
Speaker 5: is a very very very sweet kitten. He from what
3:57
Speaker 5: we've observed, the situation in which he arrived to Kasey
4:02
Speaker 5: Ha is not like put a damper on his spirit
4:04
Speaker 5: in any way. He's very playful, he's very sweet. His
4:08
Speaker 5: eyes go to different directions, which which is super cute.
4:12
Speaker 5: So he is part of that crew and about four
4:15
Speaker 5: months old, and I think he would fit perfectly with
4:18
Speaker 5: any type of family. He's clearly lived with cats before,
4:21
Speaker 5: clearly lived with at least one dog before, and I'm
4:24
Speaker 5: sure kids would be no problem.
4:26
Speaker 2: And we talk all the time about the classic West
4:29
Speaker 2: Virginia brown dog, so I guess Jay would be the
4:31
Speaker 2: West Virginia orange cat.
4:34
Speaker 5: So orange cats have that reputation of being like chaos coordinators,
4:38
Speaker 5: so I would say West Virginia chaos orange coordinator cats.
4:43
Speaker 2: He's a great cat. And you mentioned him being dumped
4:47
Speaker 2: at the shelter, and that's what I want to talk
4:49
Speaker 2: to you about. And I mentioned a little bit on
4:51
Speaker 2: the show yesterday and she talk about issues with people
4:55
Speaker 2: just you know, dumping animals at the shelter, you know,
4:58
Speaker 2: over nights when you're not there, just talk about the issue.
5:02
Speaker 5: So this is always a pretty sensitive subject. There are
5:05
Speaker 5: many different opinions that could be had about it. And
5:08
Speaker 5: Kseyha we share the opinion that we are super grateful
5:11
Speaker 5: that you are attempting to get these animals to safety.
5:15
Speaker 5: That is first and foremost. Again, we are very thankful
5:19
Speaker 5: that people are trying. However, leaving them overnight at our
5:22
Speaker 5: gates puts them at risk for getting loose out of
5:26
Speaker 5: however they are secured, possibly being hit by a car,
5:30
Speaker 5: possibly you know, running into the woods, running into a
5:33
Speaker 5: wild animal in the woods, getting lost, and not being
5:36
Speaker 5: able to find their way back to Kseha. It also
5:39
Speaker 5: exposes them to the elements. Right now, we're dealing with
5:42
Speaker 5: not as extreme heat, but we are still dealing with
5:45
Speaker 5: higher temperatures, you know, and of course there are you know, thunderstorms, lightning, storms, snow,
5:51
Speaker 5: all of that can play a factor in other months.
5:54
Speaker 5: So it's always if you're in a situation where you
5:57
Speaker 5: need to give up your pets, so you have these
5:59
Speaker 5: animals that you know they're not yours, you need something
6:01
Speaker 5: to do with them, it's always best to come and
6:03
Speaker 5: talk to us. And again I appreciate the fact that
6:06
Speaker 5: everyone is trying to get these animals to say, if
6:09
Speaker 5: you do the right thing, that is commendable, I will
6:12
Speaker 5: I will give everyone that, but again, please come talk
6:16
Speaker 5: to us, we can work something out that is not
6:19
Speaker 5: leaving these animals overnight exposed to different different things.
6:22
Speaker 2: I mean, it's a good idea in theory, and I
6:25
Speaker 2: want to think, I want to think that maybe people
6:27
Speaker 2: are doing it from a good place, but still just
6:30
Speaker 2: do it during during business hours and it's they're not
6:33
Speaker 2: going to bring you in and ask you ten thousand questions,
6:36
Speaker 2: but you know, you probably do have some questions, like
6:38
Speaker 2: you know, you know, questions that you find out the
6:41
Speaker 2: hard way. Whereas if if somebody you know, knocks on
6:44
Speaker 2: your door and says, look this cat, this dog that
6:47
Speaker 2: they've been around my house, they seem to be friendly.
6:50
Speaker 2: You know, it just helps you guys out. You know,
6:52
Speaker 2: it helps you guys out in the long ground. And
6:54
Speaker 2: as you said, you leave them out there, and you've
6:56
Speaker 2: got a picture, I think, post it on your Facebook
6:58
Speaker 2: page about the shelf or Facebook page. Just leave them
7:01
Speaker 2: out there. They're they're very vulnerable and even if they're
7:04
Speaker 2: in a cage or something you got, you know, the
7:07
Speaker 2: right animal can come in there and they're they're kind
7:09
Speaker 2: of sitting ducks without being ducks.
7:12
Speaker 5: Yes, absolutely, I would agree. And also the I didn't
7:16
Speaker 5: mention this, but knowing these animals histories, if somebody has them,
7:20
Speaker 5: for example, even just their names can help their journey
7:23
Speaker 5: through Kha be much less stressful. If we can call
7:26
Speaker 5: these animals by their name and like give them treats, toys,
7:30
Speaker 5: or just you know, do things that they like. If
7:32
Speaker 5: it's you know, this dog likes going on car rides,
7:35
Speaker 5: we can you know, make that happen for them to
7:37
Speaker 5: make their journey less stressful. So coming in and talking
7:40
Speaker 5: to us is always the best approach. We can't take
7:42
Speaker 5: the animal immediately. Everyone knows that we have been very,
7:45
Speaker 5: very very jam packed with our spacing. So if we
7:50
Speaker 5: can't take them right away, we will give you supplies
7:52
Speaker 5: and resources to do what we can while we wait
7:57
Speaker 5: for you to bring the animal in.
7:58
Speaker 2: Speaking of the numbers, talk about the numbers of cats
8:00
Speaker 2: you have right now.
8:02
Speaker 5: So just in the last week, there have been at
8:06
Speaker 5: least fifty two cats that have arrived to Kha one
8:10
Speaker 5: way or another. So right now we are staying under
8:14
Speaker 5: the six hundred number, which is great, But there are
8:19
Speaker 5: many many dogs in our kennels that are co housing,
8:22
Speaker 5: so there's at least two dogs to the already. You know,
8:25
Speaker 5: small kennels that we have, So while the numbers are
8:28
Speaker 5: staying under six hundred, it's it's not great for our
8:33
Speaker 5: spacing and what we're what we're doing at KHA.
8:37
Speaker 2: So what are you in need of besides adoptions and
8:39
Speaker 2: fosters right now? As far as materials, obviously with that
8:42
Speaker 2: many cats, some cat food would go a long way.
8:45
Speaker 5: Cat food, cat litter, the cardboard trays that canned goods
8:48
Speaker 5: come in, we are we use those as litter boxes
8:51
Speaker 5: and we are working through those very very quickly. And
8:54
Speaker 5: then for the dogs of obviously dry food, Purina products,
8:59
Speaker 5: any brand of wet food, and leashes and collars, because
9:03
Speaker 5: when dogs du leave four day trips or with their adopters,
9:06
Speaker 5: we send them out of the door with a leash
9:08
Speaker 5: and a caller.
9:09
Speaker 2: So any of those things would go a long way.
9:11
Speaker 2: Of course, you can't go wrong with cash either, you know,
9:14
Speaker 2: or something like that. What you got going on with
9:17
Speaker 2: Allen's homemade ice cream tomorrow.
9:20
Speaker 5: So we are very excited. We have partnered with Ellen's
9:23
Speaker 5: in the past. We will be down there tomorrow for
9:26
Speaker 5: an adoption special. Is Worth this year three branded tickcones
9:30
Speaker 5: for canines, but last year it was called cups for
9:33
Speaker 5: Puffs and essentially we'll be down there with some adoptable pets.
9:38
Speaker 5: Ellen's is also selling a T shirt and if you
9:41
Speaker 5: want to purchase the t shirt, that is our unique
9:44
Speaker 5: Ellen's Cross KHA. Sure the money will benefit animals at KHA.
9:53
Speaker 2: All right, good stuff, And what are the hours down
9:55
Speaker 2: there again at Ellen's, So we'll.
9:57
Speaker 5: Be down there tomorrow from twelve twelve noon to two.
10:00
Speaker 2: Well, all right at Allen's here in Charleston Kegs for Canines.
10:04
Speaker 2: Talk about that because that's coming up here in the
10:06
Speaker 2: month of August.
10:07
Speaker 5: Yeah, actually at the end of August, we are getting
10:11
Speaker 5: down to the wire on that. Tickets are on sale,
10:14
Speaker 5: so be sure to get them before they sell out.
10:16
Speaker 5: White tuxes and tails, did be sure to grab your
10:19
Speaker 5: tickets for that again, drinking beer, petting dogs, and helping
10:23
Speaker 5: shelter animals in the process. So quite literally, couldn't be easier.
10:27
Speaker 2: Well, you know, Steve Animal and I are going to
10:29
Speaker 2: be there because you mentioned those two things. We're there
10:32
Speaker 2: every year. We're looking forward to with seeing you down there.
10:34
Speaker 2: Steve and I will will be there and we'll probably
10:36
Speaker 2: get a couple of other the hooligans from here to
10:38
Speaker 2: come down there with us. As well a couple of
10:41
Speaker 2: texts for you. One says, not just for Angie, but
10:43
Speaker 2: for any politician listening, what else can possibly be done
10:47
Speaker 2: to finally put a stop to dumping and abandoning innocent animals?
10:50
Speaker 2: There are really no consequences for those that do this.
10:52
Speaker 2: This is the only thing I would support. Flock cameras
10:55
Speaker 2: for interesting take.
10:56
Speaker 5: There, Yeah, very interesting. Okay, So I don't have all
11:01
Speaker 5: the answers. I don't know what's possible within our region
11:04
Speaker 5: of you know, making you know laws and all that. However,
11:08
Speaker 5: I will say access to spain Nooter is a big
11:12
Speaker 5: one right now, and what I think is a big
11:15
Speaker 5: reason as to why we're seeing all these animals dumped.
11:17
Speaker 5: So just making spain Hooter more accessible, making spain Hooter
11:22
Speaker 5: a little bit more affordable, I think that would make
11:24
Speaker 5: a huge difference in the amount of and I do
11:27
Speaker 5: put air quotes around this, in the amount of unwanted
11:29
Speaker 5: pets that are in our region.
11:31
Speaker 2: All right, So I'm gonna I'm gonna throw this one
11:33
Speaker 2: on Della get Kaylee Young because I know that she's
11:35
Speaker 2: an animal person, and so Delegate Young, if you're listening,
11:38
Speaker 2: you have a task to work on all right. One
11:41
Speaker 2: other text for you before we let you go says,
11:43
Speaker 2: do you have a progress report on the new shelter?
11:45
Speaker 2: Has ground even been broken yet?
11:48
Speaker 5: So we are beginning the capital campaign, so that will
11:53
Speaker 5: I don't I don't have all the details, but I
11:55
Speaker 5: will share them. I will get those and come back
11:57
Speaker 5: next Friday with those details. But we are starting capital
12:00
Speaker 5: campaign in order to get the new shelter constructed. You
12:03
Speaker 5: should be able to see that within the very very
12:07
Speaker 5: very close future and the progress being made on that.
12:10
Speaker 2: All right, Angie, I appreciate it as always, and good
12:14
Speaker 2: luck with everything at Ellen's tomorrow and we'll talk next week. Thanks.
12:16
Speaker 5: Yeah, absolutely sounds great.
12:18
Speaker 2: Ange Gil Litwater Canal, Charleston You Maine Association nine nineteen.
12:22
Speaker 2: Jay is our adopt Me Police Pet of the Week.
12:25
Speaker 2: Jay is four months old. He's a cat and he
12:27
Speaker 2: was dumped at the shelter gates with a bunch of
12:29
Speaker 2: other animals. Great looking cat. Go check out the picture.
12:33
Speaker 2: It's posted Dave Allen Radio on Facebook, the WCHS network
12:37
Speaker 2: Facebook page and also at Dave a seventy on X
12:41
Speaker 2: And he's around four months old and obviously he's good
12:43
Speaker 2: with other cats. Seems to be good with dogs. He
12:45
Speaker 2: actually came in with a dog. So there you go.
12:48
Speaker 2: You're looking for a kitten. I don't know, four months old.
12:51
Speaker 2: They may not really I guess they're considered kids. Anyway,
12:53
Speaker 2: Jay is your critter. Please go adopt Jay. Every Friday

Speaker 9: According to Feeding America, over seven million seniors nationwide were
14:43
Speaker 9: food insecure in twenty twenty two. West Virginia is no different. Hi,
14:47
Speaker 9: I'm Jason, President and CEO of Union Mission Ministries. For
14:51
Speaker 9: one hundred and thirteen years, Union Mission has focused on
14:53
Speaker 9: helping people in need. Right now, our senior citizens need
14:57
Speaker 9: our help. That is why Union Mission is partnering with

15:09
Speaker 10: You may think speeding a little isn't really speeding, but
15:12
Speaker 10: even a few miles over the limit has consequences. First,
15:15
Speaker 10: there's the fine. Your first offense could cost you one
15:18
Speaker 10: hundred dollars plus court costs, and you'll pay a lot
15:21
Speaker 10: more if it's your second or third offense. Eventually you
15:24
Speaker 10: can lose your license or even go to jail, and
15:27
Speaker 10: those are minor consequences. Speeding causes ten thousand deaths each year,
15:32
Speaker 10: So next time you think a few miles over isn't
15:34
Speaker 10: a big deal, think again. This message is brought to
15:37

16:31
Speaker 2: Jim Strawn DJJ are here at the Final Live on
16:34
Speaker 2: the Levee. Moses Outer Group Final Live on the Levee
16:36
Speaker 2: is tonight for the season. Jim Bow good morning, Good
16:39
Speaker 2: morning to you, Dave. How are you my friend? And
16:40
Speaker 2: great to have you in studio with me here. It's
16:42
Speaker 2: awesome to be here until my left. DJJ, all right,
16:45
Speaker 2: it's DJJ, good morning. You've been on the show before.
16:48
Speaker 2: We've had him one before, so thought I thought you'd
16:50
Speaker 2: been on the show before. Yeah, we were here for
16:51
Speaker 2: the Spartan race. Okay, all right, so last September. Last September,
16:56
Speaker 2: so I guess we'll be doing that again soon, right.
16:57
Speaker 2: I hope we are. I hope we are.
16:59
Speaker 11: Yeah, you mentioned it. This is the final evening. It
17:01
Speaker 11: is season twenty two, week number ten, the finale. It's
17:04
Speaker 11: also back to School Night, so families, moms, dad, grandma's, antsnucles,
17:08
Speaker 11: bring your kiddo's and your grandchildren down to Hadad Riverfront
17:13
Speaker 11: part showing bomb stage will be hopping and popping, but
17:15
Speaker 11: we're going to have lots of really cool activities and
17:18
Speaker 11: some free stuff for the kiddo's get ready for school.
17:21
Speaker 11: I can't leave us back to school night. It feels
17:23
Speaker 11: like back to school night with the weather out there.
17:24
Speaker 11: I know it's going to get warmer yet, but it
17:26
Speaker 11: feels a little follish out there this morning, which I love.
17:30
Speaker 11: We're going to get things started at six thirty for
17:32
Speaker 11: the first time in the history of Live on the
17:34
Speaker 11: Levee day, we're opening up and nobody better to open
17:37
Speaker 11: up and get the party started and get the vibes going.
17:40
Speaker 11: The positivity that this guy brings is just remarkable, so
17:43
Speaker 11: we invited him to get things started at six thirty.
17:46
Speaker 11: So djj's got an hour tonight.
17:48
Speaker 2: All right, I want to talk to you a little bit.
17:50
Speaker 2: You know, you're one of the most sought after DJs
17:53
Speaker 2: in the state and probably well beyond the state of
17:55
Speaker 2: West Virginia. Of course, how'd you get into this?
17:58
Speaker 12: I started DJ in in as a child, and I've
18:02
Speaker 12: been doing it using my uncle's gear and doing block
18:06
Speaker 12: parties with my cousin and traveling around West Virginia. Moving
18:10
Speaker 12: down to Beckley for college is really where it started
18:12
Speaker 12: taking off and started taking it serious. And then once
18:14
Speaker 12: I landed in Charleston, it was definitely inevitable that that's
18:18
Speaker 12: what I really wanted to do for a living.
18:20
Speaker 2: And approximately how many gigs do you do a year?
18:24
Speaker 12: Approximately, I'm going to say north of seventy because I
18:28
Speaker 12: do a lot of smaller events as well.
18:30
Speaker 2: Probably do a multiple one day. You do multiple events too,
18:33
Speaker 2: I mean I've seen you everywhere.
18:35
Speaker 12: Yes, there's been times where I'll set up in the morning,
18:37
Speaker 12: especially some of your like five k walks, some of
18:39
Speaker 12: your early morning brunch things, and then somebody wants to
18:42
Speaker 12: do something later in the evening, and if I've got
18:44
Speaker 12: the ability in the time, I'll put both of them
18:47
Speaker 12: right on the calendar.
18:47
Speaker 2: And here's the thing that I like about you, because
18:49
Speaker 2: I've worked so many events with you over the years,
18:51
Speaker 2: is that you tailor your show for what the crowd is.
18:55
Speaker 2: Sometimes you're just kind of in the background, you know,
18:57
Speaker 2: playing some music, you know. Another times you're really trying
19:01
Speaker 2: to get the party going. So, if you got an
19:03
Speaker 2: event coming up, as you said, if it's if it's
19:05
Speaker 2: a five K, if it's a whatever, this is the
19:08
Speaker 2: guy you need to get because I mean, you can
19:10
Speaker 2: you you adapt your show to the crowd that you're playing.
19:14
Speaker 2: Thank you.
19:14
Speaker 12: And it's taking some time to get a lot of
19:16
Speaker 12: our local and regional folks to understand that a DJ
19:20
Speaker 12: can be utilized for that as well. There was a
19:23
Speaker 12: time where and you still have to be patient and
19:25
Speaker 12: educate people to say, well, you know, I can play
19:27
Speaker 12: the background jazzy brunch sounds. It doesn't have to be
19:31
Speaker 12: a party. We can have a mixer, we can have
19:33
Speaker 12: very low key atmosphere and I can do that. So
19:37
Speaker 12: just taking time to educate people to not be afraid
19:39
Speaker 12: to book a DJ for something that's not a party, all.
19:42
Speaker 2: Right, And how can people get in touch with you?
19:44
Speaker 12: Connect me everywhere at play dj EJ. That's p l
19:47
Speaker 12: a y dj EJ, PLAYDJJ dot Com, play DJJ on Instagram, Facebook.
19:54
Speaker 2: And now tonight when you're going to be opening up,
19:56
Speaker 2: And we'll talk about that a little bit later on,
19:57
Speaker 2: but I want to talk about how you planned to
20:00
Speaker 2: perform tonight because first night the Jimmy said it's the
20:02
Speaker 2: first time that they did the first in the history
20:04
Speaker 2: of that they've ever done a DJ. What can people
20:06
Speaker 2: expect when they come out to night?
20:07
Speaker 12: This is exciting, This is a big deal for DJs,
20:09
Speaker 12: and it's a great week to be a DJ. Look
20:11
Speaker 12: at all the cool things that Woody Woods is doing
20:12
Speaker 12: this weekend as well, and.
20:13
Speaker 2: All the Greenbrier with New York Giants Camp.
20:17
Speaker 12: Nick Scott's at the New York Giants Camp, which I'll
20:19
Speaker 12: be there next week as well, playing their training camp.
20:22
Speaker 12: So it's a great week and a great time for
20:24
Speaker 12: DJ's in Appalachian region.
20:26
Speaker 2: So as far as performance goes.
20:28
Speaker 12: I'm a turntablist, so I'm going to have actual the
20:31
Speaker 12: turntables out. You're gonna see me mixing, scratching and playing songs,
20:36
Speaker 12: not just press and play hanging out and let it
20:39
Speaker 12: be pre recorded. Everything I'm going to be doing today
20:41
Speaker 12: is going to be authentic, true DJ and real DJing
20:44
Speaker 12: for lack of better terms, but respect to the culture
20:46
Speaker 12: and to the craft of what DJs are and manipulating
20:49
Speaker 12: the music and watching and reading the crowd.
20:52
Speaker 2: And it's changed so much over the years. Uh And unfortunately,
20:56
Speaker 2: and you're you're too classic of a guy to take
20:58
Speaker 2: shots at anybody, but I'll will uh not anybody in particular. Now,
21:02
Speaker 2: it's just things. I mean, the Internet has made everybody
21:05
Speaker 2: think that they're a DJ, and I'm not a DJ.
21:06
Speaker 2: I used to do it years ago. I'm actually carried
21:09
Speaker 2: like record players and records and CDs and the whole deal.
21:12
Speaker 2: Respect Yeah, we're talking about the nineteen eighties. But but
21:16
Speaker 2: it's made every anybody think they can go online. They
21:18
Speaker 2: can order something from Amazon that's got you know, one
21:20
Speaker 2: thousands on library. And that's the DJ that's the easy part.
21:23
Speaker 2: The entertaining is knowing when to play what and how
21:26
Speaker 2: to mix it and to and how to talk to people.
21:28
Speaker 2: That's where the entertainment part comes up.
21:30
Speaker 12: That's been a whole conversation for the last ten years,
21:33
Speaker 12: and especially where a lot of jobs are coming and
21:37
Speaker 12: going and people are searching for new avenues to make money.
21:40
Speaker 12: DJing is absolutely attainable, right, It's it's something that anybody
21:44
Speaker 12: can technically buy stuff and get into. But you will
21:47
Speaker 12: find out that reading in the crowd, that's the foundational
21:50
Speaker 12: elements of even back in the disco days, back in
21:53
Speaker 12: the early days of.
21:54
Speaker 2: Hitting and you're talking gym's language. Now you have these babies. Yep,
21:58
Speaker 2: you have to read that crowd.
22:00
Speaker 12: And that is one thing that you can teach, but
22:03
Speaker 12: is a practical skill that you just have to master
22:06
Speaker 12: over and over and over. And if you want to
22:09
Speaker 12: get better at becoming a better DJ, I could be
22:12
Speaker 12: as technical as I want to be. But if I
22:14
Speaker 12: don't play to the crowd and read the crowd and
22:17
Speaker 12: play the right song at the right time, all the
22:19
Speaker 12: techniques don't matter.
22:20
Speaker 2: Yeah, and you can't go in and every time was
22:22
Speaker 2: a set playlist because you think, okay, well this didn't work.
22:24
Speaker 2: We were just talking about that in the green room.
22:26
Speaker 2: You go, you gotta kind of you know, vary a
22:28
Speaker 2: little bit. You play four or five songs, you I gotta,
22:30
Speaker 2: I gotta pivot, And it says.
22:31
Speaker 11: This guy reads the room better than anyone I've ever met.
22:34
Speaker 11: He literally reads the audience and goes like a float chart,
22:37
Speaker 11: well at school, in this way, better go that's the
22:38
Speaker 11: way we're going this way, now, better come this way.
22:40
Speaker 2: So he does a great job. All right. So after
22:42
Speaker 2: DJ Yeah, Jim.
22:43
Speaker 11: And then it's Taylor's Story tonight at eight o'clock. So
22:46
Speaker 11: it's kind of perfect for back to school. This young lady,
22:49
Speaker 11: her name is Shannon, Shannon Burstford. She's a Canadian, but
22:52
Speaker 11: she looks, she sings, she acts. It's a tribute to Taylor.
22:55
Speaker 11: She says, I'm not Taylor. I just love Taylor's music.
22:58
Speaker 11: I'm gonna sing Taylor's songs. I'm gonna dress like Taylor.
23:01
Speaker 11: She kind of looks like Taylor. So she's got costume changes,
23:04
Speaker 11: she's got the live musicians and her backdrop. She's got
23:07
Speaker 11: four musicians behind her. She choreographs it. I mean it's
23:11
Speaker 11: it's staged. I mean it's a show. It's high energy.
23:14
Speaker 11: And she calls it the unofficial Live Tribute Concert to Taylor.
23:19
Speaker 2: She's got everything.
23:20
Speaker 11: That Swifties are going to enjoy it. All the Swifties
23:24
Speaker 11: are going to enjoy it. Are folks over at Moses?
23:26
Speaker 11: I think Merredith over here on the East, the East
23:29
Speaker 11: Washington Dealership. She's gonna spearhead this, but Moses is going
23:33
Speaker 11: to be there.
23:33
Speaker 2: They're gonna be doing.
23:33
Speaker 11: Little friendship braces for all the all the folks. Allah.
23:37
Speaker 11: It's the friendship brace. You make your own and you
23:40
Speaker 11: wear it. And so most of this is going to
23:42
Speaker 11: be making some friendship braces, but there's gonna be all
23:45
Speaker 11: kinds of other vendors there getting kiddos ready for school,
23:48
Speaker 11: So there'll be lots of pencils and lots of pens,
23:50
Speaker 11: lots of notebooks, lots of school supplies, lots of fun
23:53
Speaker 11: activities for the children, the inflatables and the games and
23:56
Speaker 11: the face painting and the phone phone machines, and of
23:58
Speaker 11: course I mentioned the friendship bracelets them and lots of
24:01
Speaker 11: fun things. All of our food vendors will be there.
24:03
Speaker 11: The Spirited Beverages will be there with four points by Sheridan.
24:07
Speaker 11: But she'll take center stage Schoenbaum Stage at eight o'clock
24:10
Speaker 11: after DJJ placed from six thirty to seven thirty. We
24:13
Speaker 11: take that little break and thank everyone, and then Taylor
24:17
Speaker 11: Story Shannon Burstford will take center stage and she'll do
24:20
Speaker 11: a full ninety minute set of course we'll have some
24:23
Speaker 11: fifty to fifty folks there selling fifty to fifty tickets.
24:26
Speaker 11: Will do that drawing right after Taylor's story about nine
24:29
Speaker 11: thirty will wrap up. Season twenty two been a remarkable
24:32
Speaker 11: I think it's been a great year as far as
24:34
Speaker 11: the entertainment value. The city did a great job. And
24:38
Speaker 11: you've had been on the city manager, he's involved with that.
24:40
Speaker 11: You've had John ingram On, John's involved with it. But
24:43
Speaker 11: we really stepped up. I think this year the city
24:45
Speaker 11: did a nice job with the quality of entertainment. You
24:49
Speaker 11: might not have known everybody that was down there, but
24:51
Speaker 11: when you came down there, you're like, Wow, these are
24:54
Speaker 11: really good musicians. They're really professional, they're very entertaining. Alan
24:58
Speaker 11: Stone last week brought the house down. It's just fantastic.
25:01
Speaker 11: So the Purple experience was good.
25:02
Speaker 2: We've had really really good acts.
25:05
Speaker 11: Twice we had to move indoors and that was intimate
25:08
Speaker 11: and also very nice. So the city did a really
25:11
Speaker 11: superb job with the season. Indoors or outdoors, of course,
25:15
Speaker 11: this thing is Taylor made no pun, intended to be
25:17
Speaker 11: outdoors and tonight's I think it's going to be the
25:20
Speaker 11: best weather night of the year. It's going to be warm,
25:24
Speaker 11: not too hot. Humidity will be nice, nice little breeze
25:27
Speaker 11: off the Majestic Canal River. I think our mountains are
25:30
Speaker 11: going to resonate with some great vibes with DJEJ and
25:33
Speaker 11: then Shannon as Taylor's story, and I think a lot
25:36
Speaker 11: of folks will be singing along. I'm one of them.
25:38
Speaker 11: I'm a swifty I'm just gonna say it out loud.
25:40
Speaker 11: For an old man to be as swifty, it's pretty cool.
25:43
Speaker 11: And I just I respect her. I've seen her documentaries.
25:45
Speaker 11: She's a brilliant artist. She's an unbelievable songwriter, and she
25:50
Speaker 11: outworks everybody. She's just she's really I think she's great.
25:54
Speaker 2: Listeners have heard me say this, And you be in
25:57
Speaker 2: a real music I mean, you're a music fan and
25:59
Speaker 2: you can you know, I can talk music to DJJ.
26:03
Speaker 2: The thing about Taylor Swift is it's not really my thing,
26:06
Speaker 2: but I will say I got mad respect for her.
26:09
Speaker 2: Mad She has been at the top of her game
26:11
Speaker 2: for twenty years. Wow, go ahead and tell me another
26:15
Speaker 2: artist that's been at the top of their game without
26:17
Speaker 2: ever going off the charts for twenty years. I'll wait.
26:21
Speaker 2: The Beatles no Elvis. No, I mean I'm a good point.
26:25
Speaker 2: I mean when you said nobody has has dominated the
26:30
Speaker 2: charts like Taylor Swift has for twenty consecutive years.
26:33
Speaker 3: And she's still there.
26:34
Speaker 2: And some have had it and they kind of went
26:36
Speaker 2: away and then they came back, and you know, much
26:38
Speaker 2: respect to them, She's unmatched. I mean, and plus she
26:41
Speaker 2: writes her own stuff and she owns her own stuff.
26:44
Speaker 2: I mean, I got a lot of respect.
26:45
Speaker 12: For She's a phenomenon when you look at how much
26:48
Speaker 12: she's evolved from where she started, and like you said,
26:51
Speaker 12: writing her own stuff and owning her own stuff, and
26:54
Speaker 12: how she even switched genres will say, but I always
26:57
Speaker 12: appreciated the fact that she was in the country space
27:01
Speaker 12: and then she dabbled more into the pop space and
27:03
Speaker 12: then did a little club and then did some things
27:05
Speaker 12: with hip hop artists. That is what she is, an
27:08
Speaker 12: absolute artist. She's not just one dimensional. Two dimensional.
27:12
Speaker 2: Yeah, somebody ask if you would take requests tonight, no
27:15
Speaker 2: line dances, no line, that's the only thing that's out.
27:19
Speaker 2: Then I pleaded the fifth. Okay, that's a boy. How
27:22
Speaker 2: many times you gonna do it? Fauci? No, I'm kidding.
27:27
Speaker 2: I try to have a little fun on Friday, to
27:28
Speaker 2: get away from the serious stuff is best I can. David,
27:31
Speaker 2: think it's gonna be a fun night, don't you mean
27:32
Speaker 2: sha Yeah, I think so. And the weather's as you said,
27:35
Speaker 2: it's gonna be a little bit warm, yeah tonight.
27:37
Speaker 13: Uh.
27:38
Speaker 2: But you know that's why, that's why you got to
27:40
Speaker 2: You got plenty of places to get water. And if
27:41
Speaker 2: you want an adult beverage, you can get that as well.
27:43
Speaker 2: We'll have the food vendors are.
27:45
Speaker 11: They've had a wonderful year offering up all kinds of different,
27:48
Speaker 11: eclectic kind of foods and it's just a wonderful experience
27:53
Speaker 11: to be down there. The vibe is still amazing. People
27:56
Speaker 11: still tell me, I know, there's lots going on in
27:58
Speaker 11: the city, and the mayor has done a great job
27:59
Speaker 11: bringing and the cycling in and the regatta and everything
28:03
Speaker 11: that we do and at Slack Plaza and best of all,
28:05
Speaker 11: and there's so many things happening all over our great town.
28:09
Speaker 11: The Mayor's in city Hall and her staff, they've done
28:11
Speaker 11: a wonderful job bringing things into the area. But so
28:15
Speaker 11: many people tell me that Live a Levee is still
28:17
Speaker 11: like their flagship, like that's the thing like I's going
28:20
Speaker 11: with that.
28:20
Speaker 2: That's the flagship off too. It's that after work and
28:23
Speaker 2: you have so many people that work in Charleston that
28:25
Speaker 2: may not even go home if they live somewhere in
28:27
Speaker 2: the outlying areas, they just you know, maybe go out
28:29
Speaker 2: to dinner somewhere, maybe they wait and grab something off
28:31
Speaker 2: one of the food trucks that's there, or and it's
28:34
Speaker 2: kind of like, okay, it's it's kind of a it
28:37
Speaker 2: is a party, and I know it's especially going to
28:39
Speaker 2: be a party with you there tonight, but it's kind
28:40
Speaker 2: of like this is it's the weekend Fridays here.
28:43
Speaker 11: That was the vision of Tom Lane, the father of Live,
28:46
Speaker 11: A levee president of city council twenty three years ago,
28:49
Speaker 11: said David Mogard. David, what can we do to keep
28:52
Speaker 11: folks in town after five o'clock? Hang out, get a bite, deep,
28:56
Speaker 11: have a pop, enjoy some music. What can we do?
28:59
Speaker 11: And that's how Live he got started. Humble beginnings. We
29:02
Speaker 11: had I think we had six the very first year,
29:04
Speaker 11: we didn't have had ed Riverfront Park. I think a
29:07
Speaker 11: pickup truck, would you know, pull in a hay trailer
29:09
Speaker 11: or something that somebody would get up on the hay
29:11
Speaker 11: trailer and played about twenty five or thirty people. Then
29:14
Speaker 11: that the pickup truck would move away. And then United
29:18
Speaker 11: States Senator Bird came here for a Fourth of July
29:20
Speaker 11: party before we had the park, and he was he roasted,
29:25
Speaker 11: and he called Mayor Jones. Mayor Jones will tell you
29:27
Speaker 11: a great story. Senator Bird said, Hey, I've got some money.
29:30
Speaker 11: I'm gonna ear Mark. We need a canopy. We need
29:33
Speaker 11: something down there. I keep the son out of my
29:34
Speaker 11: eyes when I come and visit Charleston, West Virginia.
29:37
Speaker 2: And that's how we got the park. We got the
29:40
Speaker 2: park because of Senator Bird. One.
29:43
Speaker 11: It's too hot. I'm sweating my rump. Ro stop over year.
29:47
Speaker 11: I need a shade next time I come back. He
29:49
Speaker 11: called Danny. Danny called David Mogard. Mogard's like, well, we
29:52

30:04
Speaker 11: getting the Danny Joneses and the people that have been
30:07
Speaker 11: around the city of Charleston and just sit around like
30:10
Speaker 11: this for hours and tell stories. There's so so many
30:13
Speaker 11: great ones that people just don't know how things unfolded
30:16
Speaker 11: and how we got to where we are today.
30:18
Speaker 2: The only thing is we bring in Tony the Taylor
30:20
Speaker 2: that's not going to go on the radio, just so
30:22
Speaker 2: you know that was not going to go on.
30:24
Speaker 11: We have we'll have to we'll have to get that
30:26
Speaker 11: and we have to can that interview, and then we
30:29
Speaker 11: just have to edit.
30:30
Speaker 2: Yeah, director's cut, yes, right, directors got Ryan will spend
30:35
Speaker 2: Ryan's going to spend more time, uh in editing it
30:39
Speaker 2: than what the actual show was probably all right, all right, guys,
30:43
Speaker 2: remind people again.
30:44
Speaker 11: Things will get started at six thirty with DJ EJ

31:01
Speaker 11: I'll find stuff I have no you know, I will,
31:04
Speaker 11: you know I will.
31:04

34:01
Speaker 2: a moment, just to just to say thank you for
34:04
Speaker 2: everything that you've done. That's very kind. Yeah, I think
34:07
Speaker 2: you've done more for me than than I for you
34:10
Speaker 2: giving me up, I don't want to say anything. Yeah, well,
34:12
Speaker 2: you know, giving me an opportunity to come in and
34:15
Speaker 2: talk about the various community things that we've done, whether
34:18
Speaker 2: it's you know, walktober for WVU Medicine, Galisano Children's Hospital,
34:23
Speaker 2: or our drop events with Union Mission, the Turkey drop
34:27
Speaker 2: and drop your socks and drop your snacks and the
34:29
Speaker 2: flood Relieve drops, don't forget drop your pants.
34:33
Speaker 19: That's what are we gonna do when he's not gonna
34:37
Speaker 19: be here? I mean, nobody here else, nobody else has
34:39
Speaker 19: any ideas. He's the guy with all the ideas and
34:42
Speaker 19: the silly costumes that go with them.
34:44
Speaker 2: Yeah. Yeah, the six foot turkey costume. Man, did you
34:48
Speaker 2: leave that for ut please? By the way, that's Stephen Jenny.
34:50
Speaker 19: Yeah, just so you know, well, I thought there was
34:52
Speaker 19: some gathering over here, so I I and now I
34:55
Speaker 19: feel like I just came over here and crow barden
34:57
Speaker 19: my way into his goodbye show.
34:58
Speaker 2: No, that's all right.
35:00
Speaker 13: Here.
35:00
Speaker 2: Here's the thing. Woody is getting ready for Woody Fest.
35:03
Speaker 2: You know tomorrow that Uh? I jokingly to Antoine out,
35:06
Speaker 2: so I said, is there a concert or something tomorrow?
35:08
Speaker 2: Just is there something going on tomorrow? I thought he's
35:11
Speaker 2: gonna hit me. Yeah, splinter, we call Antoine split. Actually
35:14
Speaker 2: his own dad calls him splinter now splinter uh and
35:17
Speaker 2: the animal has a live broadcast out of tractor Pros today,
35:21
Speaker 2: so he does. So. So you got me and you
35:23
Speaker 2: got Stephen j Three Hall of famers, well two and
35:26
Speaker 2: a half, none of the Hall of Famer yet.
35:28
Speaker 19: Well, if you hang around, you hang around long enough
35:31
Speaker 19: to run out of people in the well.
35:33
Speaker 2: I mean, I don't think that was ever going to happen.
35:36
Speaker 2: That's not the kind of thing.
35:37
Speaker 19: Well, there's always that you can come back about that.
35:40
Speaker 2: Well, I mean it's happened before I boomeranged once. I
35:43
Speaker 2: mean great, of course, as you mentioned it. I mean,
35:46
Speaker 2: you're gonna be remembered for your show on KWS, but
35:48
Speaker 2: also for what you did outside the studio. The guy
35:51
Speaker 2: behind the snack dropped the sock drops, your walk from
35:55
Speaker 2: Charleston to Morgantown. This seemed like a really good idea
35:58
Speaker 2: at the time, but when you pulled it off, and
36:03
Speaker 2: community is very important to you, it is. I believe
36:07
Speaker 2: that's why we're here. We get to do a lot
36:09
Speaker 2: of cool stuff. And you know, there's combined probably there's
36:14
Speaker 2: nearly two hundred years of radio just in this room
36:17
Speaker 2: right now, and I wonder I feel well, I'm about
36:20
Speaker 2: half of it, right, Yeah, Marconi was his first intern.
36:26
Speaker 2: For those of you playing our home game anyway, So
36:29
Speaker 2: we've all gotten to do lots of cool things and
36:31
Speaker 2: meet wonderful people and have experiences beyond what we could
36:36
Speaker 2: have imagined when each of us was I'm going to
36:38
Speaker 2: guess about nine or ten listening to the radio at home,
36:42
Speaker 2: you know, the one speaker transistor under the pillow late
36:45
Speaker 2: at night, thinking man, it'd be really cool to do that,
36:47
Speaker 2: and then we've gotten to do it. The balance for
36:52
Speaker 2: all of the cool stuff we've gotten to do is
36:55
Speaker 2: should be helping our friends and neighbors. There are more
37:00
Speaker 2: more media options than there have ever been. Folks have
37:03
Speaker 2: lots of choices, and as I'm sure you guys know,
37:06
Speaker 2: people can get music anywhere. If they want to hear
37:08
Speaker 2: Bruno Mars or they want to hear Luke Bryan, there
37:11
Speaker 2: are a multitude of places they can go get it.
37:15
Speaker 2: But when they want to connect to their community, when
37:17
Speaker 2: they want to be part of something, when they want
37:19
Speaker 2: to sing along and know that folks may be in
37:22
Speaker 2: the car next to them on I sixty four crossing
37:25
Speaker 2: the bridge are singing along listening to the same song
37:28
Speaker 2: when they when they want that fabric or potholes the
37:32
Speaker 2: correct time. Yes, you do it with the right rhythm.
37:36
Speaker 2: You can get the swear words in between the lyrics.
37:38
Speaker 18: You can't.
37:38
Speaker 2: Yeah, she said, with a little experience, I think local
37:45
Speaker 2: radio is where you want to go, and especially with
37:48
Speaker 2: WVRC media. We are here. We are proud to live
37:52
Speaker 2: here too. That is not something we just say. We
37:54
Speaker 2: are not run out of San Antonio or Atlanta, or
37:57
Speaker 2: New York or Los Angeles. We are right here in
38:01
Speaker 2: our community, rolling up our sleeves, doing these things to
38:05
Speaker 2: hopefully make life a little better for our friends and neighbors,
38:08
Speaker 2: whether that's three minutes at a time in the morning.
38:11
Speaker 2: For I go back to the stat all the time,
38:13
Speaker 2: only nine percent of people love what they do for
38:15
Speaker 2: a living. I means ninety one percent of the folks
38:18
Speaker 2: who are out there, ten out of eleven are just
38:21
Speaker 2: going to work because they got bills to pay, in
38:22
Speaker 2: kids to feed. And if we can make that trip
38:28
Speaker 2: better within three minutes of them turning on the radio, terrific.
38:31
Speaker 2: If we can make their neighborhood better, terrific. If we
38:33
Speaker 2: can make kids healthier and happier and thriving through the
38:38
Speaker 2: Children's Miracle Network even better. That's the whole reason why
38:43
Speaker 2: I continue to get up in the morning at I'm
38:44
Speaker 2: not a morning person.
38:45
Speaker 19: Now, let me ask you this because I've said the
38:48
Speaker 19: same thing essentially when you started this, and by the way,
38:52
Speaker 19: it was a fifth grade obsession with me is when
38:54
Speaker 19: it started. Yeah, I never imagined it would end up
38:58
Speaker 19: being what you just described. I just thought I want
39:01
Speaker 19: to go on the radio and play these songs that
39:03
Speaker 19: I like. Yeah, and I think that'd be fun. And
39:06
Speaker 19: it turned into something that I could have never imagined.
39:09
Speaker 2: I found myself saying recently that I was a kid
39:12
Speaker 2: who didn't get enough attention for my satisfaction and I
39:16
Speaker 2: thought I had something to say. It has very much
39:19
Speaker 2: evolved into I get to speak for our community. I
39:24
Speaker 2: get to be the voice for a whole lot of
39:26
Speaker 2: people because they let me play with these toys, they
39:29
Speaker 2: put this microphone in front of me, they give me
39:31
Speaker 2: a big transmitter, and I get to do stuff to
39:35
Speaker 2: help people.
39:35
Speaker 19: It's the feeling of getting the help someone that I
39:38
Speaker 19: mean again, it's it's not not any I never thought
39:41
Speaker 19: I would be doing things that I do or or
39:44
Speaker 19: want to try to do, and the same thing for
39:46
Speaker 19: you and then Jenny, and I'm sure Dave too. You
39:49
Speaker 19: just didn't start that way. No, but I'm glad it
39:52
Speaker 19: ended this week.
39:53
Speaker 2: No, yeah, it was about music and girls and free food.
39:56
Speaker 2: Oh yeah, yeah, and free food and you know, no,
40:01
Speaker 2: but to me, it's just about the food. Yeah, I'm
40:04
Speaker 2: here for the tics, but it ain't nothing wrong with that.
40:07
Speaker 2: But that's the case. But you're gonna be going to
40:10
Speaker 2: South Carolina, which is where you were originally from, because yes,
40:14
Speaker 2: Indiana is where I people think that you're from, but
40:17
Speaker 2: you really you're a South Carolina guy who ended up
40:19
Speaker 2: in Indiana, and so but that's where that's where you're going.
40:21
Speaker 2: I did the most time in Indiana. I was born
40:24
Speaker 2: in the Other Charleston and this is the only place
40:26
Speaker 2: in the world where you refer to South Carolina as
40:27
Speaker 2: the Other Charleston. But when I was six, was sent
40:30
Speaker 2: to live with my grandparents in southeastern Indiana, so I
40:34
Speaker 2: grew up there mostly. My two bachelor's degrees are from
40:37
Speaker 2: Butler University. My my master's degree is actually from Notre Dame.
40:41
Speaker 2: So there's a lot of Indiana connection. In fact, I
40:44
Speaker 2: had about a decade's worth of my career at one
40:47
Speaker 2: station before this vagabond thing really took over.
40:50
Speaker 19: Dude, you've got two degrees and a master's and you're
40:53
Speaker 19: doing this.
40:54
Speaker 2: So I get asked a lot. I have a bachelor's
40:57
Speaker 2: in journalism with a minor in music. I have a
41:00
Speaker 2: bachelor's in history with a focus in economics. I have
41:02
Speaker 2: a master's of Global Affairs.
41:05
Speaker 19: I'm impressed, I really am.
41:06
Speaker 2: I didn't mean to sound like Andy's Marine. Well, minor
41:10
Speaker 2: league baseball player, broken down, old catcher, broken down, old marine.
41:14
Speaker 2: I have a CDL, I have a valid teaching license.
41:17
Speaker 2: I have a Series seven and actually went to cabinet
41:20
Speaker 2: makers School for a little while. So what are you
41:22
Speaker 2: three hundred years old? It feels like it. But I
41:27
Speaker 2: tell you all that to tell you that I can
41:28
Speaker 2: do a lot of things, and I choose to do this,
41:31
Speaker 2: that this, this is a vocation, This is a calling
41:34
Speaker 2: for us, all right. So I remember when you came
41:37
Speaker 2: back the second time Coop did an interview with you
41:40
Speaker 2: on the show. I was off that day, but I
41:42
Speaker 2: was driving back to Charleston and I was listening to it.
41:44
Speaker 2: Coop did a great job of letting everybody get you know,
41:47
Speaker 2: because I didn't know I didn't know you as we
41:49
Speaker 2: are passing across you, but I listened to the interview.
41:53
Speaker 2: But here's what Coop didn't do. He didn't do what
41:56
Speaker 2: I do with all of the new hires in the building,
41:59
Speaker 2: and that is to welcome them into the studio to
42:02
Speaker 2: play ten questions. All right, so Rob Real, on your
42:05
Speaker 2: last day with us at Charleston, You're gonna play ten questions.
42:07
Speaker 2: I'm going to present you with ten questions. You are
42:10
Speaker 2: to answer in a rapid fire style. Please verify that
42:12
Speaker 2: you have not seen the questions. I have not seen
42:13
Speaker 2: the questions. Say I've been buried in the mayonnaise jar
42:16
Speaker 2: under Franken Wignell's porch. In my hand, I hold ten questions,
42:20
Speaker 2: ten prepared in a lab somewhere near Amandeville. And to
42:24
Speaker 2: your listeners, to our listeners, yes, do not try this
42:27
Speaker 2: at home. And as always, please no wager, no wagering.
42:30
Speaker 2: All right, are you ready? I'm as ready as I
42:33
Speaker 2: get coffee, caffeinated or non caffeinated, hotter iced, Doctor Pepper
42:37
Speaker 2: zero favorite US President, Oh James K.
42:40
Speaker 10: Polk.
42:42
Speaker 2: Of course it is. He's the only president who accomplished
42:45
Speaker 2: all four of his major campaign promises. All right, you
42:47
Speaker 2: order a burger? What goes on it? Pepper jack, cheese, bacon,
42:51
Speaker 2: and maybe some if there's a spicy ranch or aole.
42:55
Speaker 2: Name any sitcom star of any era that you'd like
42:57
Speaker 2: to hang out with. Dick and your second grade teacher's name, password,
43:05
Speaker 2: missus passwords. Actually I skipped the second grade, of course
43:08
Speaker 2: you did, so.
43:09
Speaker 1: I know mine.
43:10
Speaker 4: If you want to ask Missus Phillips, Missus Methuselah, Sorry
43:19
Speaker 4: that one, Missus Klein?
43:21
Speaker 2: All right, Genny, who is yours? I don't remember? Okay? Uh?
43:25
Speaker 2: Back to food. You're order a milkshake? What flavor is it?
43:28
Speaker 2: Twek or milkshake? Butterscotch? Actually, let's say scotch is not
43:33
Speaker 2: an option, but butterscotch is. You're driving coast to coast
43:37
Speaker 2: and only can listen to one artist? Who is it?
43:39
Speaker 2: The Eagles, cats are dogs both. You are known for
43:43
Speaker 2: your nearly one thousand baseball caps. Well, what's the oldest
43:46
Speaker 2: one in your collection? Uh? Wow, that's tough because one
43:51
Speaker 2: of the reasons I collect them is my mother tossed
43:54
Speaker 2: my caps when I was overseas, the few that I had,
43:57
Speaker 2: and so I started hanging on to them. Probably one
44:01
Speaker 2: of my fatigue caps the Red Marine Corps with the
44:05
Speaker 2: gold insignia and USMC. That's all right. Finally, question, a
44:09
Speaker 2: talent you have other than radio that sets you apart
44:12
Speaker 2: from other people. I didn't know talent was required. I mean,
44:20
Speaker 2: I can make a lot of ridiculous voices. The talent
44:23
Speaker 2: you have other than radio, I don't know, Jenny, what
44:27
Speaker 2: stopped everybody? Jenny, Well, he's a health and fitness smart
44:30
Speaker 2: all talent. I don't know about that. All right, I'll
44:34
Speaker 2: go back to the cabinet maker thing. I built nearly
44:36
Speaker 2: every piece of furniture that's in my former residence. I'd
44:40
Speaker 2: tell you more, but my divorce lawyer says I'm not
44:42
Speaker 2: allowed to. You completed ten questions. I've completed more than that.
44:49
Speaker 2: What does he win the gifts? Apparently? Well? I got
44:54
Speaker 2: some pictures, Yes, a nice little frame of the we
44:57
Speaker 2: call ourselves the Four Horsemen. Yes, it's very nice. Animal
45:00
Speaker 2: and Shockley, you know, the Mountain Misfits. And then I
45:03
Speaker 2: play the part of Bender, Yeah, which I have more
45:05
Speaker 2: of that voice going today. All right, Rob has been pleasure,
45:09
Speaker 2: my friend, it has it has been. It has been
45:11
Speaker 2: my honor to be a part of this. All right,
45:14
Speaker 2: good luck, thank you, and uh when I go down
45:16
Speaker 2: to Saint Simon's, which I frequently do, I say frequently,
45:20
Speaker 2: like once a year. That's radio. That's frequently more frequently
45:23
Speaker 2: than we do.
45:24
Speaker 15: Well.
45:25
