- 0:00Speaker 1: Greig Way with you alongside the producer Cameron Parker.
- 0:05Speaker 2: Cameron, Linda made cupcakes today. You go on board.
- 0:08Speaker 1: Look at that on board for cupcake, Okay, and she
- 0:10Speaker 1: makes like these cupcakes on steroids. That's a big cupcake.
- 0:16Speaker 1: Look at that. That's a big cupcakes.
- 0:18Speaker 2: It's ridiculous.
- 0:19Speaker 3: So shot on the camera right that camera, Yeah, look
- 0:23Speaker 3: at that.
- 0:25Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, here have a cupcake. Thank you, thank you. Yeah.
- 0:30Speaker 1: That's a big sucker right there. Yeah that sucks. Makes
- 0:34Speaker 1: my goodness, get fudge everywhere. Yeah yeah yeah. Anyway, uh,
- 0:41Speaker 1: things to discuss. National Football League regular season is over.
- 0:47Speaker 2: Dallas Cowboys are done. Thank god?
- 0:49Speaker 1: Do we have the Jerry Jones sound. Let's let's listen
- 0:52Speaker 1: a little bit of Jerry. First of all, there was
- 0:55Speaker 1: a performance. There was a series of performance bonuses right
- 0:58Speaker 1: in place that I will say this, Cam, I don't
- 1:01Speaker 1: know about you. I mean, I know we had the
- 1:03Speaker 1: women's basketball game of broadcast yesterday and we did. But
- 1:08Speaker 1: before that, after that and going into the night game
- 1:10Speaker 1: as well, especially when I got home when I was
- 1:11Speaker 1: watching another Ram Seahawks game which cost the Rams the
- 1:15Speaker 1: three seed. I would much rather have them be in
- 1:18Speaker 1: the three seed and play Washington in the four seed
- 1:20Speaker 1: and play Minnesota now and then if you win that,
- 1:23Speaker 1: then you go to Detroit. Yeah, that's not good. Thanks
- 1:26Speaker 1: Sean McVay for not playing your starters. Big picture man,
- 1:30Speaker 1: Big picture.
- 1:31Speaker 2: Right, rams fan frustrated has spoken.
- 1:34Speaker 1: Anyway, there were performance bonuses in place for a lot
- 1:39Speaker 1: of guys, including Geno Spence I think, earn six million
- 1:43Speaker 1: dollars by hitting three performance bonuses, a yardage thing maybe
- 1:49Speaker 1: it was a game performance thing or whatever, and then
- 1:53Speaker 1: ten wins and so he got six million. There were
- 1:55Speaker 1: other guys who had It was Mike Evans who hit
- 1:58Speaker 1: that eleventh straight year of one thousand receiving arts.
- 2:01Speaker 2: That ty Jerry Rice, there were other teams that had those.
- 2:05Speaker 1: Then he had the Cowboys Cooper Rush, who would I
- 2:08Speaker 1: think by taking I think they said three snaps it
- 2:12Speaker 1: wasn't going to be many would have earned a performance bonus.
- 2:18Speaker 1: And Jerry Jones decided, you know, and Mike McCarthy that
- 2:24Speaker 1: Trey Lance would play the whole game, and he did,
- 2:27Speaker 1: and so there was no performance bonus for Cooper Rush.
- 2:32Speaker 1: So Jerry was asked about that it would why not
- 2:36Speaker 1: play him? Is that close to performance bonus? That sort
- 2:38Speaker 1: of thing.
- 2:41Speaker 4: Not long here, just faced with the team for my
- 2:46Speaker 4: visit with the team.
- 2:47Speaker 2: That can happen here in.
- 2:50Speaker 4: The professional maps of the game are it can be
- 2:53Speaker 4: tour and so I made it tonight and visited about
- 2:56Speaker 4: going forward, visited about looking forward, sharing disappointment, but sharing
- 3:03Speaker 4: the fact that in a big way, they'll never forget
- 3:06Speaker 4: the guys that a line up with in that room,
- 3:09Speaker 4: the downtimes and the good times, and that needs to
- 3:13Speaker 4: be brought up right now because we're not happy with
- 3:16Speaker 4: out come.
- 3:17Speaker 2: This ball game. I thought we really.
- 3:21Speaker 4: Played with a lot of the kind of energy that
- 3:25Speaker 4: you play if you were going to do the playoffs.
- 3:27Speaker 4: So this is this game really energy wise, tribute wise,
- 3:32Speaker 4: coach wise, plague wise, was a real tribute to our
- 3:35Speaker 4: team and gives me a lot of encouragement going forward. Jerry,
- 3:38Speaker 4: what was your message to Michael Party and.
- 3:41Speaker 2: What does he mean to you?
- 3:42Speaker 4: Well, I spoke to the old team, and Mike was
- 3:45Speaker 4: in the room with all the coaches in the whol team,
- 3:47Speaker 4: and of course Mike's one of the best coaches that
- 3:51Speaker 4: I think there is. He was made to coach here
- 3:53Speaker 4: because I thought that, and he's done absolutely nothing to
- 3:57Speaker 4: diminish my opinion of him as a coach, and I
- 4:02Speaker 4: am really impressed with the way the players identified look
- 4:10Speaker 4: or or with it. They're inside with it, and that's important.
- 4:14Speaker 4: That's important because he's had some times when each one
- 4:18Speaker 4: of those players individually as well as as a team
- 4:22Speaker 4: have not been fun times. And so he's been there
- 4:25Speaker 4: in his way for him on an individual bas He's
- 4:28Speaker 4: been there in his way for him on team basis,
- 4:31Speaker 4: and at the end of.
- 4:32Speaker 2: The day, you know that these are people.
- 4:37Speaker 4: All I've got to do is see Bill Bates out
- 4:39Speaker 4: here today and years flash through my mind about days
- 4:44Speaker 4: with Bill, a glass of tea or anything like that,
- 4:48Speaker 4: to lots of things that go into being together trying
- 4:53Speaker 4: to win a win games, win a championship. As coaches
- 4:56Speaker 4: and their families try to make plans for the future,
- 4:59Speaker 4: when do you int making some decision about those features.
- 5:03Speaker 4: I'll follow this kind of the time frame that I've
- 5:06Speaker 4: done in the past.
- 5:08Speaker 2: Now that is the way that.
- 5:12Speaker 4: It's evolved in the past, will be a time frame,
- 5:16Speaker 4: and I can tell you that the past is not
- 5:19Speaker 4: necessarily consistent in terms of a time. When you said
- 5:22Speaker 4: Friday that the Hayes in the Barn about Macarthy and
- 5:25Speaker 4: the coaches.
- 5:25Speaker 2: Does that mean have you made up your mind on
- 5:27Speaker 2: Mike mcgarth.
- 5:28Speaker 4: No, Well, the point is that all that I'm going
- 5:30Speaker 4: to look at.
- 5:31Speaker 2: I was asked I was answering that question.
- 5:34Speaker 4: And that was the outcome of this game really impact
- 5:38Speaker 4: his future? And I said, no, all of the things
- 5:42Speaker 4: I'll consider hasonable.
- 5:47Speaker 1: So there it is not long here, just Jerry Tony
- 5:51Speaker 1: sorry about Mike McCarthy. There we'll see we can find
- 5:53Speaker 1: that other piece of center because its kind of entertaining
- 5:56Speaker 1: about whether he would consider relinquishing the GM due because
- 6:02Speaker 1: it would be be interesting to see where it goes
- 6:06Speaker 1: from there. Okay, So in the NFC, because of the
- 6:11Speaker 1: win last night by the Lions, they win the NFC
- 6:14Speaker 1: North and they are the number one seed, first time
- 6:16Speaker 1: in the history of that franchise they've been a number
- 6:17Speaker 1: one seed ever. The number two seed goes to the
- 6:23Speaker 1: Philadelphia Eagles. The three seed goes to Tampa Bay. Like
- 6:29Speaker 1: I said, it could have been the Rams, but they
- 6:30Speaker 1: lost to the Seahawks thirty twenty five.
- 6:32Speaker 2: Jimmy g playing quarterback yesterday.
- 6:34Speaker 1: They were no starters out there and Sean McVay did
- 6:37Speaker 1: one of the rest of all starters. It kind of
- 6:38Speaker 1: blew out a kind of backfire, and not only did
- 6:40Speaker 1: they lose the game, which was certainly a possibility, not
- 6:43Speaker 1: playing Matthew Stafford and you're not playing Cooper Cup, and
- 6:45Speaker 1: you're not playing Pukinakua, and you're not playing several of
- 6:50Speaker 1: your starters on defense, and you also weren't playing you
- 6:56Speaker 1: were all going down the depth chart on by not
- 7:01Speaker 1: playing Kyron Williams in your running back situation would they do?
- 7:04Speaker 1: So they go further down in the depth chart and
- 7:10Speaker 1: they go to I'm just trying to complete blank. The
- 7:14Speaker 1: Michigan running back is now the rookie came in from
- 7:17Speaker 1: Michigan part of their national championship, Blake corn So they
- 7:20Speaker 1: go to Blake Corm yesterday and it looks like he
- 7:23Speaker 1: broke his arm, so he's out. So that happening in
- 7:27Speaker 1: ablutions the Rams wind up being the four seed. The
- 7:29Speaker 1: three seed is Tampa Bay, and the five seed because
- 7:33Speaker 1: the loss of the Lions is Minnesota, the sixth seed
- 7:36Speaker 1: is Washington. They won on that last second touchdown pass.
- 7:39Speaker 1: They would have gotten it anyway because Green Bay lost
- 7:41Speaker 1: to Chicago and green Bay is the seventh seed, so
- 7:47Speaker 1: Cam knowing what we know, and we don't have to
- 7:51Speaker 1: break down each matchup individually in the NFC, but it
- 7:56Speaker 1: is going to be Philly against Green Bay in the
- 7:58Speaker 1: two versus seven matchup. I have a filling Packers is
- 8:00Speaker 1: of his seventh seed. Don't stand as good a chance
- 8:02Speaker 1: to beat the two seed this year as they did
- 8:03Speaker 1: last year when they went to Arlington. The sixth seed
- 8:06Speaker 1: Washington goes to the three seed Tampa Bay, and the
- 8:11Speaker 1: five seed Minnesota is the four seed Los Angeles favorite
- 8:16Speaker 1: in the NFC.
- 8:17Speaker 3: Probably Detroit, but we'll see about Philadelphia. I mean, they've
- 8:20Speaker 3: played great football over the past year, they've been kind
- 8:23Speaker 3: of sneaky underneath this great lion storyline. I think they
- 8:27Speaker 3: have a good matchup with the Green Bay team. They've
- 8:29Speaker 3: already beaten Brazil and now the Packers are without Christian
- 8:31Speaker 3: Watson the rest of the season. Love got banged up
- 8:35Speaker 3: again in that Week eighteen game against Chicago. Not really
- 8:38Speaker 3: afraid of Tampa Bay or Washington. Neither I am about
- 8:41Speaker 3: the Rams, no offense, or Minnesota. So I think it
- 8:43Speaker 3: does come down to Detroit in Philadelphia the NFC. It
- 8:47Speaker 3: depends on can Detroit kind of get somewhat healthy and
- 8:51Speaker 3: can they withstand any more injuries?
- 8:53Speaker 1: Okay, all right, we'll look at the AFC a little
- 8:55Speaker 1: bit later. Up next, we visited with Paul Keels, played
- 8:57Speaker 1: by play voice of the Ohio State Buckeyes.
- 8:59Speaker 2: When we continue on AM thirteen under the Zone
