- 0:00Speaker 1: Are you guys okay? You ready to do this podcast,
- 0:03Speaker 1: Taco Bob?
- 0:04Speaker 2: Yes, I am.
- 0:05Speaker 1: Paramore Brown, who I just found out about two minutes ago,
- 0:07Speaker 1: is joining us this week for the Off the Air podcast,
- 0:10Speaker 1: which is great. We love having you in here. That's right.
- 0:12Speaker 3: Better late than never. That's what I say.
- 0:14Speaker 1: You're just gawking at something on the TV. Paramore's going,
- 0:18Speaker 1: how do I look?
- 0:19Speaker 3: I didn't say it like that, people, but I did say,
- 0:22Speaker 3: how do I look?
- 0:25Speaker 1: If you're watching the live stream, you see his face.
- 0:28Speaker 1: You've got your lined denim jacket.
- 0:31Speaker 3: Yes, sir.
- 0:32Speaker 1: Is that real sheepskin?
- 0:33Speaker 3: Hello. You know, bad. You know what I'm saying? Bad.
- 0:37Speaker 3: I get it.
- 0:37Speaker 1: After all, it is in the upper 60s.
- 0:39Speaker 3: Hello, hello. Real for real. When it starts getting down
- 0:43Speaker 3: close to the 60s, it's time to pull it out, people.
- 0:46Speaker 3: Wait until next week. I got leather.
- 0:49Speaker 1: Yeah, when do you level up to the leather long jacket,
- 0:53Speaker 1: which you like to sport?
- 0:56Speaker 3: When they get down in the solid 60s, like about
- 0:58Speaker 3: 65 or 62, it's on. It's full of fledge. I
- 1:03Speaker 3: got the candy man and I got the slicker. I'm
- 1:05Speaker 3: ready to rock and roll, people.
- 1:07Speaker 2: Now, when we first met Paramore, that's what he was
- 1:09Speaker 2: always in. And I remember being out at different stuff,
- 1:13Speaker 2: like we were giving away prizes. And here's this guy,
- 1:16Speaker 2: this slick gentleman in a Basically, it's a trench coat,
- 1:21Speaker 2: but a trench leather coat. Yeah. And I'm like, man,
- 1:25Speaker 2: what does he have under there? I didn't know if
- 1:27Speaker 2: it was going to be the guy like you see
- 1:28Speaker 2: up in New York with the watches and the fake watches.
- 1:31Speaker 1: Or nothing.
- 1:32Speaker 2: And the purses. Yeah, or nothing.
- 1:34Speaker 3: Yeah, Lenny, what's the, from the, what was it? I've
- 1:41Speaker 3: been doing a good time.
- 1:42Speaker 1: Lenny and Squiggy.
- 1:43Speaker 3: No, no, no. Lenny's from good times. The black dude,
- 1:45Speaker 3: he's a panhandler. He said, my name is Lenny.
- 1:48Speaker 1: Right.
- 1:48Speaker 3: Yeah, you know what I'm saying?
- 1:50Speaker 2: Something about a penny.
- 1:51Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 1:52Speaker 3: I got everything, but it's not a penny or something
- 1:54Speaker 3: like that. But, yeah.
- 1:55Speaker 1: Good times.
- 1:56Speaker 2: That was a damn good show, man.
- 1:58Speaker 1: Dynamite. Yeah, JJ.
- 2:01Speaker 2: That was when TV was really, really cool. None of
- 2:04Speaker 2: these stupid Survivor, you know.
- 2:08Speaker 1: I mean, that show's like... Paramore, I bet I know
- 2:11Speaker 1: who you like the most on that show. Hello. John Amos,
- 2:15Speaker 1: who played the dad.
- 2:17Speaker 3: The dad, the dad. Straight forward, and that's how dad
- 2:20Speaker 3: was back in them days. You know what I'm saying?
- 2:22Speaker 3: He let the woman talk first. He let the woman
- 2:24Speaker 3: do that right there. But when things get out of hand.
- 2:27Speaker 1: James!
- 2:28Speaker 3: James!
- 2:29Speaker 1: Florida would always say to him, James!
- 2:31Speaker 2: Hello.
- 2:32Speaker 3: And that's the key.
- 2:33Speaker 1: His nostrils would flare.
- 2:36Speaker 3: Hello, I'm saying, but mine's bigger than his, though. I
- 2:39Speaker 3: got it.
- 2:40Speaker 2: No, but yours don't flare like his did.
- 2:42Speaker 3: No, but it used to. When I had my girls
- 2:46Speaker 3: and stuff, I got seven of them. So, you know,
- 2:49Speaker 3: I just sit back and I be quiet. And I
- 2:51Speaker 3: wait until that. I know they're getting. And when they
- 2:54Speaker 3: get about right up in there. Then my wife would say.
- 2:57Speaker 2: About four foot eight he was doing for those that
- 3:00Speaker 2: are listening and can't see.
- 3:01Speaker 1: Right when they get to the, they know everything age
- 3:04Speaker 1: and height.
- 3:05Speaker 3: Yeah, and then all of a sudden it's like, you know,
- 3:08Speaker 3: she'd call my name, part of my middle name. She'd say, Gene.
- 3:12Speaker 3: And that's it. I didn't do two words, though. My
- 3:15Speaker 3: girls were so good. I didn't do two words. I'd say, Browns.
- 3:22Speaker 2: That wasn't two words.
- 3:24Speaker 3: No, no, no. I'd say, well, one was brown and
- 3:26Speaker 3: the other, roll up.
- 3:28Speaker 2: All right, that's two words.
- 3:30Speaker 3: What the devil?
- 3:31Speaker 2: Roll up.
- 3:32Speaker 1: Hello, yeah.
- 3:33Speaker 3: You know what I'm saying? Because they're kids, you know
- 3:35Speaker 3: what I'm saying? And when dad speaks, they listen. You
- 3:38Speaker 3: know what I'm saying? Now, do they pay attention? Until
- 3:40Speaker 3: I leave the room. And then, you know what I'm saying,
- 3:43Speaker 3: whatever they were doing.
- 3:44Speaker 2: My dad, it was, don't make me get out of
- 3:47Speaker 2: this recliner and take off my belt. And you knew
- 3:50Speaker 2: it was coming then.
- 3:51Speaker 3: Hello. That was way too many words. Way too many words. Oh, no.
- 3:54Speaker 2: He'd just say, the belt. We got that one, too.
- 3:58Speaker 1: Hello.
- 3:58Speaker 2: I literally got it. Hey, we've been talking before at
- 4:01Speaker 2: this whole Dine at Old Mate thing about your outfit.
- 4:06Speaker 2: I noticed you haven't been wearing a lot of Dallas
- 4:08Speaker 2: Cowboys apparel as of late.
- 4:10Speaker 3: Oh, boy.
- 4:12Speaker 2: I have good news for you because you know how
- 4:14Speaker 2: I'm always half fuller. I try to be.
- 4:16Speaker 3: Yes, sir.
- 4:17Speaker 2: The good news is that this weekend you take on
- 4:20Speaker 2: the Eagles. So there is a chance that you won't
- 4:23Speaker 2: rack up another loss.
- 4:26Speaker 3: Meanwhile, back at the Rams.
- 4:27Speaker 1: Do the Eagles got enough guys to field a team
- 4:29Speaker 1: at this point?
- 4:30Speaker 2: That's the only reason why I felt bad about saying that.
- 4:32Speaker 2: No offense, Paramore, but because of the Eagles, that whole situation.
- 4:36Speaker 1: As long as we're talking about football, one of the–
- 4:39Speaker 1: side stories that's starting to really bubble is this heat
- 4:43Speaker 1: between Joe Buck and Troy Aikman. Oh, really? So, yeah.
- 4:47Speaker 1: So let's say the Monday night football guys, you know,
- 4:50Speaker 1: they were long time for years team on Fox and
- 4:54Speaker 1: then they left Fox and went to ESPN and, you know,
- 4:57Speaker 1: they've been parked to do doing Monday night football. Joe
- 5:01Speaker 1: just recently re-upped and I guess it was big fat deal. And,
- 5:06Speaker 1: Troy's contract is pretty much coming up and it sounds like, uh,
- 5:12Speaker 1: Troy is strongly considering, uh, going elsewhere. There was apparently
- 5:16Speaker 1: a blow up between the two of them just before
- 5:19Speaker 1: the game, uh, the other week. And it was like
- 5:22Speaker 1: so bad.
- 5:23Speaker 2: They were like, um, I heard bits and pieces of
- 5:25Speaker 2: this story.
- 5:26Speaker 1: Are we going to have, uh, announcers or at least
- 5:29Speaker 1: two of them for tonight or no but they they
- 5:32Speaker 1: ended up you know being professional and they they went
- 5:36Speaker 1: on and did their thing but no if you if
- 5:38Speaker 1: you look look this up there's it's an ongoing issue
- 5:41Speaker 1: apparently that's been kind of building over the last few
- 5:44Speaker 1: years it.
- 5:44Speaker 2: Sounds like fortunately ESPN for the for those games now
- 5:48Speaker 2: has so many different people they could plug in you
- 5:50Speaker 2: know because Pat McAfee and his crew are doing the
- 5:53Speaker 2: sideline reporting for I think for ESPN 2 or something
- 5:56Speaker 2: like that.
- 5:56Speaker 1: Quick, cut to the Manning cast. Quick, come here.
- 5:59Speaker 3: Hello. But, though, in all honesty, I think Aikman should
- 6:02Speaker 3: be looking at a little coaching stuff because, you know
- 6:05Speaker 3: what I'm saying, like he.
- 6:06Speaker 1: Has the motivation. He don't need that aggravation, man.
- 6:08Speaker 3: Yeah, but, though, you know what I'm saying.
- 6:10Speaker 1: You know what kind of bank he's making just for
- 6:12Speaker 1: calling a game a week?
- 6:12Speaker 3: Yeah, but, though, we want it, though. Because, see, like,
- 6:15Speaker 3: you know, if you're getting into a dispute about a
- 6:17Speaker 3: freaking casting role where you know that you, I mean, like,
- 6:22Speaker 3: you've been up on the, what, Jimmy Johnson, and you've
- 6:25Speaker 3: been up on the Stero King, Sooner guy, what his name?
- 6:32Speaker 3: The one that let Bosworth do all the stuff.
- 6:35Speaker 1: Barry.
- 6:35Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, yeah. So, you know what I'm saying? Like,
- 6:37Speaker 3: he has the coaching ability, and he knows the dynamics
- 6:40Speaker 3: of a lot of players. And plus, he studied football. So,
- 6:43Speaker 3: you know, a coaching gig, I'd be looking at that
- 6:47Speaker 3: for you.
- 6:48Speaker 1: I would.
- 6:49Speaker 2: No way in hell I agree with Pat. If you
- 6:50Speaker 2: have a. A TV gig in comparison to the stress
- 6:54Speaker 2: of a coaching gig?
- 6:56Speaker 1: If he's in a position where he can go sign
- 6:59Speaker 1: another deal elsewhere, Fox or CBS would take him in
- 7:04Speaker 1: a heartbeat.
- 7:05Speaker 3: Oh, yeah. Hello, hello. But I think a coaching gig
- 7:07Speaker 3: is more your suit. That's me. But then again, my
- 7:13Speaker 3: suit is, oh, what?
- 7:16Speaker 2: What are you talking about, Sue?
- 7:17Speaker 3: Oh, yeah, because I'm going to jump off track. I
- 7:19Speaker 3: have to put it back on. I put the train
- 7:21Speaker 3: back on the track because I'm going to go over
- 7:22Speaker 3: there to the Asian or the Oriental Express.
- 7:25Speaker 2: Okay, hold on to that.
- 7:26Speaker 1: Hold on, because there's some more to talk about on
- 7:28Speaker 1: this other subject.
- 7:29Speaker 2: All right, all right. With that, I think he throws
- 7:32Speaker 2: everybody for a loop and just says, screw it, I'm retiring.
- 7:36Speaker 3: Good luck.
- 7:37Speaker 2: Good luck on your own.
- 7:38Speaker 1: You know, as I watched games that those two called
- 7:41Speaker 1: over the last 20-plus years or whatever, there were times
- 7:46Speaker 1: as a viewer, I'm like, I'd like to fight that
- 7:50Speaker 1: Joe Buck guy. Oh, yeah. It just, at times, just
- 7:55Speaker 1: comes across as, am I off there or no?
- 7:59Speaker 2: A little smug and know-it-all-ish.
- 8:01Speaker 3: Yeah, but you know what I'm saying? You always got
- 8:03Speaker 3: to have the good cop back. I've got to put
- 8:06Speaker 3: it that way. But you always got a good guy
- 8:08Speaker 3: and bad guy. You always have to have that guy
- 8:10Speaker 3: that you have to, and then you have to have
- 8:12Speaker 3: the smooth guy. That comes in to smooth everything over.
- 8:15Speaker 2: Yeah, we know that pretty well, actually.
- 8:17Speaker 1: We get. But that said, I get, and Taco will
- 8:23Speaker 1: second me on this. I don't even have to ask.
- 8:25Speaker 1: You work that long with someone in a confined situation.
- 8:30Speaker 1: It boils over from time to time. We had a
- 8:32Speaker 1: boil over about eight months ago. Hello. And it happens.
- 8:36Speaker 3: It happens.
- 8:37Speaker 1: And we literally want it. freaking knock each other out.
- 8:41Speaker 2: No, but we just know shit happens and you just
- 8:43Speaker 2: move along.
- 8:44Speaker 3: That part, that's the realness of it, you know what
- 8:46Speaker 3: I'm saying? Because if anybody ever agree with everything you say,
- 8:50Speaker 3: they lying to you. You know what I'm saying? But
- 8:52Speaker 3: you know what I'm saying? Like that's how friendship becomes
- 8:54Speaker 3: stronger because you know what I'm saying? Like ain't no
- 8:57Speaker 3: way in the world that both of y'all can't agree
- 9:00Speaker 3: on 100%.
- 9:00Speaker 1: Oh, no. No, we don't. That's why the show works. Yes,
- 9:03Speaker 1: that's right. And it works so good. And speaking of which,
- 9:07Speaker 1: this would probably be a good play. I wasn't even
- 9:08Speaker 1: going to say anything about this, but I'll bring it
- 9:10Speaker 1: up because it's the podcast, and we like to pull
- 9:13Speaker 1: back the curtain a little bit here.
- 9:14Speaker 2: The story comes out of the closet.
- 9:15Speaker 3: What the devil? No, no, no, no.
- 9:19Speaker 1: I'm going to be 100% honest here and genuine as
- 9:22Speaker 1: I can possibly be.
- 9:24Speaker 3: Yes.
- 9:24Speaker 2: I know what he's talking about.
- 9:26Speaker 1: You guys have no idea how close it came to
- 9:30Speaker 1: where the day before Halloween was going to be my
- 9:33Speaker 1: last day here.
- 9:35Speaker 3: What?
- 9:36Speaker 1: I've been for the last almost three months on a
- 9:39Speaker 1: temporary agreement.
- 9:42Speaker 2: And I could tell at times that it was stressing
- 9:44Speaker 2: you out of your mind.
- 9:45Speaker 1: To work here. Doing our job, we were required to
- 9:49Speaker 1: sign an agreement, a contract. And mine was up. and
- 9:54Speaker 1: you get into this, you know, back and forth to
- 9:58Speaker 1: to re-up or go your separate ways or whatever. And
- 10:01Speaker 1: it's been a, it's been a more of a struggle
- 10:04Speaker 1: than I had hoped it would be over the last
- 10:06Speaker 1: few months. And it really, it caused me to sit
- 10:10Speaker 1: down and really think about a lot of stuff where
- 10:14Speaker 1: I am, where I want to be, what's next after
- 10:18Speaker 1: this place? And you think I joke when I bring
- 10:20Speaker 1: up the drawbridge thing.
- 10:21Speaker 3: Okay.
- 10:22Speaker 1: About wanting to just be, when I'm done with this job,
- 10:25Speaker 1: be a drawbridge.
- 10:25Speaker 2: I could see you doing it.
- 10:28Speaker 1: That plan came very close to becoming, happening sooner rather
- 10:32Speaker 1: than later. So with that, yesterday I did agree to
- 10:38Speaker 1: sign up for another tour of duty. Okay, good.
- 10:40Speaker 3: Wow.
- 10:41Speaker 2: I was wondering because I noticed on my side behind
- 10:44Speaker 2: the scenes, I know you've been stressed out of your
- 10:46Speaker 2: mind because I've known you. We've worked together for 30 years.
- 10:49Speaker 2: But I know how stressed out you've been. And today
- 10:53Speaker 2: I could tell them, like, they're either right at the
- 10:55Speaker 2: end of the agreement where it's going to be agreed
- 10:58Speaker 2: today or I think they might have worked something out
- 11:01Speaker 2: because I could see a little weight lifted off.
- 11:03Speaker 1: It's– I had to go through it.
- 11:06Speaker 2: I know what it's like.
- 11:07Speaker 1: But there was something different this time, and it wasn't
- 11:11Speaker 1: pleasant at all, ever.
- 11:13Speaker 2: Yeah, you didn't like our taste. I had the same taste.
- 11:17Speaker 1: And, you know, I will credit right now for deciding
- 11:24Speaker 1: to sign up and continue going on. It was a.
- 11:28Speaker 1: My wife and I spent a long portion of our
- 11:30Speaker 1: anniversary weekend discussing this and what to do or what
- 11:34Speaker 1: not to do. And to be honest, again, I'm just
- 11:37Speaker 1: being completely honest here. We're in a position where if
- 11:42Speaker 1: I wanted to just say, okay, that's it. We have
- 11:45Speaker 1: a backup plan where it's not the end of the world.
- 11:48Speaker 3: It's not.
- 11:49Speaker 1: It is absolutely not. Learned that lesson last time we were,
- 11:52Speaker 1: you know, heave ho.
- 11:54Speaker 2: And I knew, I knew that if you decided not to,
- 11:57Speaker 2: I was like, I'll just go where they plug me
- 12:01Speaker 2: in over at 104 or whatever. But I was like,
- 12:04Speaker 2: you're the grown man. He's got to make his decisions.
- 12:07Speaker 2: This is why I'm like, you know how that goes.
- 12:11Speaker 2: With contracts, his is none of my business. Mine's none
- 12:14Speaker 2: of his business. The thing that we all learned when
- 12:17Speaker 2: we were 14 or 15 years old, one major rule
- 12:21Speaker 2: in working is you never ask somebody. what they make.
- 12:24Speaker 1: And fired for that. That part's not even the most
- 12:27Speaker 1: important part. It's just the way this whole thing unfolded.
- 12:30Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 12:31Speaker 2: It was ugly.
- 12:32Speaker 1: It was ugly, much uglier than I have ever experienced and,
- 12:37Speaker 1: or ever want to experience again. And the only reason
- 12:39Speaker 1: I'm bringing this up is because Bob was, was spot
- 12:42Speaker 1: on with his, uh, analysis that, uh, you know, it
- 12:46Speaker 1: was weighing heavily on me.
- 12:48Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 12:48Speaker 1: Um, And this is a subject that you'll never hear
- 12:52Speaker 1: us talk about this. We don't. We've never really talked
- 12:55Speaker 1: about this. But the only reason I'm bringing it up
- 12:58Speaker 1: is it was that close to where I was. I knew.
- 13:02Speaker 2: I had already told my wife. I said, I've known
- 13:05Speaker 2: Pat long enough. He's on the edge. I was like,
- 13:07Speaker 2: let's just go ahead and sell the house now. And
- 13:09Speaker 2: then that way I have a shit ton of money
- 13:11Speaker 2: in the bank. Hey, in your agreement, the one thing
- 13:14Speaker 2: that I will ask, there's not a clause of me
- 13:17Speaker 2: giving you hand jobs once a year or anything, right?
- 13:19Speaker 3: What the devil?
- 13:20Speaker 1: I'm not going to even dignify that with an answer
- 13:23Speaker 1: or a response.
- 13:25Speaker 2: We think we have that drawn up in your content.
- 13:29Speaker 1: That was my next question.
- 13:30Speaker 3: I was like, hey, if Pat goes and you go, then.
- 13:34Speaker 1: What the devil? You'll be doing mornings.
- 13:37Speaker 3: No, no, no, no.
- 13:38Speaker 2: That'll be the power of five hours.
- 13:42Speaker 1: They'll check off every EEOC boxer in one fell swoop. Okay.
- 13:47Speaker 1: We have an elderly black man hosting mornings.
- 13:51Speaker 3: What did this button do? Oh, that button. Oh, okay.
- 13:55Speaker 1: No, that button right there.
- 13:57Speaker 2: I'm glad you got it figured out. I didn't want
- 14:00Speaker 2: to ask you. I was just going to wait until
- 14:02Speaker 2: you said something. I haven't talked to the boss because
- 14:06Speaker 2: when you had first mentioned something to me, you go,
- 14:09Speaker 2: I'm not under contract. And I said, what? You and
- 14:15Speaker 2: I talked and Say, Rick hadn't said anything?
- 14:17Speaker 3: No.
- 14:18Speaker 2: And then Rick said to me, Pat, he hadn't said
- 14:20Speaker 2: anything to you that we're discussing. And I go, no,
- 14:23Speaker 2: I stay out of shit. I said, he just mentioned
- 14:25Speaker 2: something the other day. But nothing was.
- 14:29Speaker 1: I go, I don't want to know.
- 14:30Speaker 2: I said, I don't want to know.
- 14:31Speaker 1: I'm ready.
- 14:32Speaker 2: I'm a big boy.
- 14:34Speaker 1: I'll wrap it up with this comment. I'm glad it's
- 14:37Speaker 1: behind me at this point. It has been just a
- 14:41Speaker 1: few months that.
- 14:42Speaker 3: That was crazy, man.
- 14:44Speaker 1: It did not need to get to that. It never
- 14:49Speaker 1: should have.
- 14:49Speaker 2: But can I ask you something? Are you just going
- 14:52Speaker 2: to do like a golfer does with his bad shot
- 14:55Speaker 2: and just, okay, it didn't need to get there and
- 14:57Speaker 2: get that out of your mind?
- 14:58Speaker 1: It's out of my mind. Good. That's what matters. It's
- 15:01Speaker 1: out of my mind. It's an honest question. I love
- 15:06Speaker 1: my job. I love each and every one of you
- 15:09Speaker 1: in this room and each and every one of you
- 15:11Speaker 1: listening who have afforded me the opportunity to make what
- 15:14Speaker 1: my hobby is, is my job, essentially, which is, that's
- 15:18Speaker 1: the dream come true of any American, to try to
- 15:22Speaker 1: do what you love and make money doing it. You know.
- 15:30Speaker 2: Somebody said something to me, and I know you'll think, Pat,
- 15:32Speaker 2: this is too sunshine, rainbows, all that stuff, but somebody
- 15:37Speaker 2: mentioned something to me, and it made a lot of sense.
- 15:39Speaker 2: My friend Jen said, With her husband, got this huge promotion,
- 15:43Speaker 2: and he was having to work. And he is currently
- 15:46Speaker 2: working until getting home to his wife and two daughters
- 15:49Speaker 2: at like 8, 30, 9 o'clock at night when they're
- 15:53Speaker 2: elementary school kids. And she said, reminded him, you prayed
- 15:59Speaker 2: for this job years and years and years ago.
- 16:03Speaker 1: You got it.
- 16:04Speaker 2: You and I, years and years and years ago. We
- 16:06Speaker 2: begged and prayed to be in radio, basically. Like, we
- 16:10Speaker 2: could do that? Man, I was going to be a
- 16:13Speaker 2: garbage man in California.
- 16:15Speaker 1: We could do this? It pays well. I know. Well,
- 16:19Speaker 1: that's what I was going to do. In California, yeah.
- 16:21Speaker 3: In the living.
- 16:22Speaker 2: I'm telling you, though, it pays damn well. They have
- 16:24Speaker 2: great salary. I looked into it when I was in
- 16:27Speaker 2: high school.
- 16:28Speaker 3: What the devil?
- 16:29Speaker 2: I was going to surf and be a garbage man.
- 16:30Speaker 1: It was simple.
- 16:32Speaker 3: Yeah, that's a good plan.
- 16:34Speaker 1: Priorities, baby. All right, so anyway, done. The conversation's over.
- 16:38Speaker 1: I just wanted to let you all know that.
- 16:41Speaker 3: Good times. Let's go into good times.
- 16:42Speaker 2: Yeah, that's awesome.
- 16:44Speaker 1: Dynamite. Hello. Come on, give us one.
- 16:46Speaker 3: Okay.
- 16:47Speaker 2: No, no, dynamite.
- 16:48Speaker 1: Oh, dynamite. Okay, hello. But anywho.
- 16:53Speaker 2: Let's see how he transitions, Pat.
- 16:56Speaker 3: No, no, I can't translate.
- 16:58Speaker 1: I don't know where you pivot to from this.
- 16:59Speaker 3: Okay, yes, I do. I go into the Oriental Express.
- 17:03Speaker 3: You know what I'm saying?
- 17:05Speaker 1: Okay, can we set this up a little bit in
- 17:08Speaker 1: case someone's just coming in cold to this? Paramore insinuated
- 17:12Speaker 1: a few weeks ago, the last time we had him
- 17:13Speaker 1: on the podcast, that he was actively open to another relationship. Yeah, yeah.
- 17:21Speaker 3: You know what I'm saying? Like, since my wife passed,
- 17:24Speaker 3: that's been like about, ooh, like about eight and a half,
- 17:27Speaker 3: almost nine years. I have been like, yeah, I've been
- 17:31Speaker 3: like damaged goods and stuff. But lately, you know what
- 17:33Speaker 3: I'm saying? Like, I've been, you know, opened up my
- 17:35Speaker 3: mind a little bit.
- 17:36Speaker 1: And things have been going good for you? Yes, sir.
- 17:38Speaker 3: Yes, sir. Yes, things have been going real good. So
- 17:40Speaker 3: I'm thinking like, okay, maybe I'm mentally stable enough to,
- 17:44Speaker 3: you know what I'm saying, to entertain, you know what
- 17:46Speaker 3: I'm saying, a female in my life. So I'm looking
- 17:49Speaker 3: and stuff.
- 17:49Speaker 1: I'll do it.
- 17:51Speaker 2: Don't do it.
- 17:52Speaker 1: What the devil? You know what I'm saying?
- 17:54Speaker 3: It's got to be a female. It can't be nothing else.
- 17:56Speaker 3: You know what I'm saying?
- 17:57Speaker 1: I think we understand. Hello, that part.
- 18:00Speaker 3: But anywho, you know what I'm saying? And I've been
- 18:03Speaker 3: looking at the women's dynamics. You know what I'm saying?
- 18:05Speaker 3: I'm looking at the white women. I'm looking at the
- 18:07Speaker 3: black women. I'm looking at the Chinese women. Yeah.
- 18:10Speaker 2: That's what latest he seems to settle on.
- 18:13Speaker 3: Yeah, that part.
- 18:14Speaker 1: Specifically Chinese or just?
- 18:16Speaker 3: No, no.
- 18:17Speaker 1: Asian.
- 18:19Speaker 3: Asian. Asian women, they tend to be a little bit
- 18:24Speaker 3: more gravitary towards the needs and satisfaction. And they love money.
- 18:30Speaker 3: They love money. See, you know what I'm saying? But therefore, then,
- 18:34Speaker 3: that's the part that I have to work with a
- 18:36Speaker 3: little bit on the money-loving part. But the other part
- 18:39Speaker 3: and stuff- Yeah, you know what I'm saying? Like, oh, boy.
- 18:42Speaker 1: So that said, is there someone that you're actively engaged with? No. Oh,
- 18:49Speaker 1: this is the profile you're looking for. What about the
- 18:52Speaker 1: woman that you were buying? Stop the bus here. You
- 18:57Speaker 1: know what he gauges this off of? Because I was
- 18:59Speaker 1: on a local... TV.
- 19:01Speaker 2: Station, news station, looking for a topic, and he saw
- 19:05Speaker 2: an Asian lady.
- 19:05Speaker 1: He goes, ooh. So how shallow is that?
- 19:09Speaker 2: It was based off of a good-looking Asian lady on
- 19:11Speaker 2: the internet.
- 19:12Speaker 3: Okay, all right, all right. 100%, and you can deny this,
- 19:15Speaker 3: or you can do it, whatever. But us men, we
- 19:18Speaker 3: go by sight. We go by sight. We see something
- 19:21Speaker 3: that look good, and it can be deaf. And he's like, wow, okay, yeah.
- 19:27Speaker 3: You know what I'm saying?
- 19:28Speaker 2: How are you going to talk to her if she's deaf?
- 19:31Speaker 1: No, it can be deaf if you see something. Oh, deaf.
- 19:35Speaker 3: I can't do that. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 19:37Speaker 1: That Robin Williams.
- 19:38Speaker 3: Oh, I was going to say, I'm going to jump
- 19:40Speaker 3: the train again. Okay, let's focus here.
- 19:44Speaker 1: So you're interested in dating an Asian woman.
- 19:46Speaker 3: Yes, yes, yes.
- 19:48Speaker 1: I'm sure there's quite a few. Asian women who listen
- 19:51Speaker 1: to this radio station.
- 19:52Speaker 3: Yes, but I have some, what do you call it?
- 19:57Speaker 1: Are you on any of the apps? No, uh-uh, no, no.
- 20:00Speaker 2: He has some requirements.
- 20:01Speaker 1: There you go, that word. Three requisites? Yes, yes, yes.
- 20:05Speaker 3: All right, number one, I'm not a green card person. Recipient.
- 20:09Speaker 2: Provider.
- 20:10Speaker 1: Oh, you don't want to facilitate someone who's just okay, understood.
- 20:15Speaker 2: My brother did that, and he woke up to eating
- 20:17Speaker 2: rice for breakfast. That marriage lasted about a couple weeks,
- 20:21Speaker 2: so don't do that.
- 20:22Speaker 3: Yeah, but I can teach you how to cook grits, though.
- 20:24Speaker 3: I can teach you how to cook grits.
- 20:25Speaker 1: Very similar.
- 20:26Speaker 3: Hello, hello, that part.
- 20:29Speaker 2: Requirement number one.
- 20:30Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah. Requirement number two is you will not have 100%
- 20:34Speaker 3: control over the money. That's it. And requirement number three,
- 20:40Speaker 3: don't lie to me. That's it.
- 20:42Speaker 1: Now, the money thing, that would be if it became
- 20:45Speaker 1: official like a marriage. I mean, you can't be telling
- 20:49Speaker 1: someone just that a dating thing there, they don't... They're
- 20:53Speaker 1: not going to be looking to control you.
- 20:55Speaker 3: But see, if you put down the ground rules, then
- 20:57Speaker 3: you know what I'm saying.
- 20:58Speaker 1: Set the expectations. Make it known ahead of time.
- 21:01Speaker 3: Yes, yes, yes. And transition to be, you know what
- 21:04Speaker 3: I'm saying, it won't be, oh, no, I didn't know this. Oh, yes,
- 21:06Speaker 3: you did. You know what I'm saying, from the beginning.
- 21:09Speaker 2: So you said a pre-word with prerequisites, and now we
- 21:12Speaker 2: have another pre-word, prenuptial. If you get to that place, yeah,
- 21:18Speaker 2: prenup it. Who cares? Everybody's doing it now.
- 21:20Speaker 3: Yeah, but then it becomes almost like a business transaction.
- 21:25Speaker 1: Would you get married again if it got to that
- 21:27Speaker 1: level of commitment?
- 21:29Speaker 2: Baby steps.
- 21:31Speaker 3: Yeah, real baby steps, real short little steps. If it's perfect.
- 21:37Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 21:38Speaker 3: It's got to be. It's got to be.
- 21:39Speaker 1: Woman of your dreams. She gets on with all your kids. Yeah, yeah.
- 21:44Speaker 3: But no, that's not going to happen because I got
- 21:46Speaker 3: seven daughters. They got seven personalities. And they ain't got
- 21:48Speaker 3: seven times to deal with seven times that. And then
- 21:51Speaker 3: that's 21 to 48 to 49.
- 21:51Speaker 1: No, uh-uh, no.
- 21:55Speaker 3: So many personalities that females have. Okay.
- 21:57Speaker 1: Well, now that all this is out there and it's
- 21:59Speaker 1: known that you're throwing the line in the water.
- 22:02Speaker 3: Yeah, that's it.
- 22:02Speaker 1: That's it. If someone is, how do they connect with you?
- 22:06Speaker 1: What do you, how are you asking? I'm working on that.
- 22:09Speaker 1: I'm working on that.
- 22:11Speaker 3: I'm trying to get my Instagram and my Facebook and my,
- 22:15Speaker 3: the other page.
- 22:16Speaker 1: Where's the dating apps?
- 22:18Speaker 3: The dating apps.
- 22:20Speaker 2: Try out Grindr. No.
- 22:22Speaker 1: What is that? No, no, no.
- 22:24Speaker 3: Any day nap you give me is a no-no. My
- 22:29Speaker 3: daughter's in the promotion department had made me a day nap,
- 22:34Speaker 3: and I have yet to go on it. But it
- 22:35Speaker 3: got me listed as non-binary.
- 22:39Speaker 1: Oh, no. Yeah, yeah.
- 22:40Speaker 3: They got me listed as non-binary. And that's Leckie, my daughter.
- 22:45Speaker 1: No, you wanted to say 100% black man. Hello.
- 22:48Speaker 3: You know what I'm saying? Six foot two, 197 pounds,
- 22:52Speaker 3: still can move, and 63 years old. Ain't slow, but
- 22:56Speaker 3: I'm sturdy.
- 22:58Speaker 2: Hey, put it this way. Baby steps is... He's right
- 23:03Speaker 2: now looking for the lady pack. Guess what he's doing today?
- 23:06Speaker 2: He's got somebody downstairs buffing and waxing his Escalade.
- 23:11Speaker 1: I'm kidding. You're riding with the Escalade today.
- 23:14Speaker 2: Yes, sir.
- 23:15Speaker 3: Yes, sir. Yes, sir. Ladies, I'm not rich. I'm not rich.
- 23:18Speaker 3: You know what I'm saying? But I don't sell drugs neither.
- 23:22Speaker 2: Not anymore.
- 23:23Speaker 3: What the devil?
- 23:24Speaker 1: What year is that, Escalade?
- 23:25Speaker 3: Huh? What year is that? It's 2018. It's a big body.
- 23:30Speaker 3: It got three-row passengers. It's pretty good. It gets, like,
- 23:36Speaker 3: on a full tank, like, 612 miles per gallon.
- 23:40Speaker 1: Does it have the captain's chairs in the second row?
- 23:42Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 23:43Speaker 1: The captain's chairs?
- 23:44Speaker 2: No, no, no, no.
- 23:45Speaker 3: The second one is a bench. You know what I'm saying?
- 23:49Speaker 3: So the first one, you know what I'm saying? Like,
- 23:51Speaker 3: me and her... We're riding comfort, and the kids crap
- 23:54Speaker 3: on the whole long.
- 23:55Speaker 2: Yeah, because you got Grandpa cruising, man. You got the
- 23:58Speaker 2: grandkids on the date, everybody. That's going to be an
- 24:00Speaker 2: awesome date.
- 24:01Speaker 3: That part.
- 24:02Speaker 1: Well, we got to get you a love connection then, man.
- 24:04Speaker 3: Hello, hello. I got age preference. I got age preference.
- 24:10Speaker 1: Okay, we got to go through the rest of the
- 24:11Speaker 1: requirements here.
- 24:12Speaker 3: Yes, yes, yes.
- 24:13Speaker 2: All right.
- 24:13Speaker 3: Age preference, it goes from 27 to 40.
- 24:19Speaker 1: You're in your 60s. That is just. Some would say shallow.
- 24:25Speaker 3: That's not shallow. I want what I want. If a
- 24:28Speaker 3: man can't get what he want, you know what I'm saying?
- 24:33Speaker 1: You say shallow and stuff like that. Some might say shallow.
- 24:37Speaker 1: We didn't say we say it's shallow.
- 24:39Speaker 3: I say he say it's shallow, but I'm saying I'm
- 24:43Speaker 3: getting what I want because she's going to get what
- 24:45Speaker 3: she needs.
- 24:45Speaker 1: Okay.
- 24:46Speaker 2: You can't always get what you want, but you can
- 24:48Speaker 2: try sometimes.
- 24:50Speaker 3: And you might find you get what you need.
- 24:52Speaker 2: She's getting that, so check it.
- 24:55Speaker 1: All right.
- 24:55Speaker 2: I think we just came up with something right now
- 24:58Speaker 2: that we need to follow through on.
- 25:00Speaker 1: A paramour dating game.
- 25:02Speaker 2: A lot of times we don't follow through, whether we
- 25:05Speaker 2: do it on the air and then have those three
- 25:08Speaker 2: come in and he'll go on a date with, or
- 25:11Speaker 2: in the 409 we have like, I don't know, 18,
- 25:15Speaker 2: we'll start with, say, 12 participants. And I know that
- 25:20Speaker 2: can be tough.
- 25:20Speaker 3: No, no, no.
- 25:21Speaker 1: Let me, I want to, I know this is one
- 25:24Speaker 1: of these things that, go ahead.
- 25:25Speaker 2: I'm just saying we're just spitballing here. Let's not spitball
- 25:27Speaker 2: on the podcast and talk to the boss friend.
- 25:29Speaker 1: Yes. Here's what's going to happen. I want you just
- 25:32Speaker 1: to understand this.
- 25:34Speaker 3: I'm listening.
- 25:35Speaker 1: If we throw this idea out there. Mm-hmm. Initially, oh,
- 25:40Speaker 1: that's great. We need more stuff like this out of
- 25:42Speaker 1: you guys. The second we tell you it's only open
- 25:46Speaker 1: to Asian women between the ages of 27 and 40,
- 25:52Speaker 1: they are going to ring so many red flags up
- 25:54Speaker 1: in the air. We're not saying that. But he just did.
- 25:58Speaker 1: Why are they.
- 25:59Speaker 3: Going to throw red flags on my preference, on my life?
- 26:03Speaker 1: He can have— What? I'm not saying I have a
- 26:06Speaker 1: problem with it. I'm just saying you run it up
- 26:08Speaker 1: the legal flagpole. It's not Asian only. Take that out
- 26:12Speaker 1: of the equation. No Asian equation. Here's what we got.
- 26:15Speaker 2: We have black women, white women, Puerto Rican women, Dominican.
- 26:20Speaker 1: Women, whatever. It's open to women. Don't you agree? He
- 26:27Speaker 1: knows what he wants. Hello.
- 26:29Speaker 3: But you see, it's just like the day when I
- 26:31Speaker 3: seen a young man walking with his head down. What
- 26:34Speaker 3: did I say?
- 26:35Speaker 1: Get off your phone. Yeah, hold your head up. Hold
- 26:37Speaker 1: your head up.
- 26:38Speaker 3: Because they walk down and stuff.
- 26:39Speaker 2: I know.
- 26:40Speaker 3: Yeah, you know what I'm saying? And then, yeah, if
- 26:42Speaker 3: you're walking with a phone, I can barely text. So,
- 26:45Speaker 3: you know, I stop and sit down somewhere. And I
- 26:48Speaker 3: text with my thumb or text with my finger. That's
- 26:51Speaker 3: how I text. That's like that.
- 26:52Speaker 1: Whatever. You know what I'm saying?
- 26:55Speaker 3: I see people walking like this right here, and they
- 26:57Speaker 3: got their head down and stuff. You know, I see,
- 27:00Speaker 3: you know, most of the young kids and stuff walking down, boom, boom, boom.
- 27:04Speaker 3: And then I see some grownups doing it. But then
- 27:07Speaker 3: most of the women from 27 to 40, they automatically
- 27:12Speaker 3: have this, you know what I'm saying, mystique about themselves
- 27:15Speaker 3: that they hold their heads up. And they walk straight,
- 27:18Speaker 3: you know what I'm saying? And they make eye contact,
- 27:20Speaker 3: you know what I'm saying? And some of them even,
- 27:22Speaker 3: you know what I'm saying, smile at you. You know,
- 27:24Speaker 3: most of the people that does that is the Asian.
- 27:28Speaker 3: You know what I'm saying? Like, you know, black women,
- 27:31Speaker 3: they either look at you, you know what I'm saying, like,
- 27:34Speaker 3: what's next? You know what I'm saying? White women look
- 27:37Speaker 3: at you like... He's on my purse. Okay, yeah. You
- 27:41Speaker 3: know what I'm saying? You know what I'm saying? And
- 27:43Speaker 3: Dominican women, they, you know what I'm saying, they show
- 27:46Speaker 3: you their machete. You know what I'm saying? Like, dude,
- 27:48Speaker 3: they ain't with that.
- 27:49Speaker 1: All right.
- 27:50Speaker 3: Puerto Rican women, you know what I'm saying?
- 27:51Speaker 1: Now, what about the Vietnamese women? You've got firsthand experience.
- 27:54Speaker 1: You had two trips to Vietnam.
- 27:56Speaker 3: Oh, yeah, yes. Vietnamese women are very, very, very lovely,
- 28:01Speaker 3: and they're nice, and they're clean.
- 28:02Speaker 1: Are they eligible?
- 28:03Speaker 3: Yes, yes, yes.
- 28:04Speaker 1: Okay, all right.
- 28:04Speaker 3: So you know what I'm saying? Vietnamese, Thai, Philippine, Guam, Bogota,
- 28:15Speaker 3: you know what I'm saying?
- 28:16Speaker 1: How about Venezuela?
- 28:17Speaker 3: Huh? Venezuela is kind of Spanish, but no. Some of
- 28:21Speaker 3: them are, oh, my God, some of them can cook, though. Oh,
- 28:23Speaker 3: my God, some of them can cook.
- 28:24Speaker 2: Pat, I'm telling you, we set up just like.
- 28:27Speaker 3: Yes, yes, Venezuela's women, they can cook.
- 28:29Speaker 2: This is, with our show, you only have a certain
- 28:32Speaker 2: amount of women.
- 28:32Speaker 1: They're not Asian, though.
- 28:34Speaker 3: No, no, but I've been to Venezuela. And the little
- 28:38Speaker 3: time that I was there at Venezuela, I used to
- 28:41Speaker 3: have a little cook, you know what I'm saying? And she, oh,
- 28:45Speaker 3: my God, she can cook. And she used to say, like,
- 28:47Speaker 3: I take my time and I teach my children because
- 28:50Speaker 3: if they want to get a good husband, a good man,
- 28:52Speaker 3: they have to learn how to keep his belly full and,
- 28:55Speaker 3: you know, keep him happy. Yeah, that part.
- 28:57Speaker 2: We only have a deep enough pool of women with
- 29:01Speaker 2: the Lindsay Taco Show. So if you're trying to just get,
- 29:05Speaker 2: as Pat was saying, we're going to get red flagged.
- 29:07Speaker 2: And I don't know who we can blow up. We
- 29:09Speaker 2: leave it open to all women. Set them up on
- 29:12Speaker 2: three dates, Pat. We'll send them to my buddy's restaurant,
- 29:15Speaker 2: Big Taco. Hello.
- 29:17Speaker 1: And- Oh, just stop with the trying to.
- 29:19Speaker 2: Because that way, sales would get involved and say, yeah,
- 29:23Speaker 2: it's a paramount. Hello.
- 29:25Speaker 3: You like it?
- 29:27Speaker 1: Hey, I'm loving it.
- 29:28Speaker 3: I'm loving it. You know what I'm saying? Like, you
- 29:29Speaker 3: know what I'm saying? I can even take them to Petty's.
- 29:32Speaker 1: You know what I'm saying?
- 29:33Speaker 3: I take them to Petty's.
- 29:33Speaker 2: And then make a mistake.
- 29:35Speaker 1: No, no.
- 29:35Speaker 2: Not a mistake. Make them a mistake.
- 29:38Speaker 1: Why not take them home and show them your new diner?
- 29:40Speaker 1: garage door?
- 29:41Speaker 3: You know what I'm saying?
- 29:42Speaker 1: That was a possibility. On your house that has well-hung
- 29:44Speaker 1: gutters on it.
- 29:45Speaker 2: There you go.
- 29:45Speaker 1: Hello. You know what I'm saying?
- 29:47Speaker 3: Make it a round, well-round trip.

- 31:00Speaker 1: we need to hit Rick with this, give him the
- 31:02Speaker 1: framework of what we're talking about so we can avoid
- 31:05Speaker 1: stepping in any potholes.
- 31:07Speaker 2: I already have the title. Just made it up.
- 31:10Speaker 3: Uh-oh.
