- 0:00Over and above, because he feels a connection to Hashem, amazing
- 0:03national connection, he wants to do more.
- 0:04It's just the mindset of Haseet. And we said that every person
- 0:08has to be. You want to do this properly.
- 0:09It's going to be authentic and want it to be authentic has to
- 0:12be coming from a good place. And now it cannot be coming out
- 0:15of fear or wanting to impress. It comes based on the same
- 0:19mindset we imagine as a husband with his wife.
- 0:22Guys in love loves his wife and therefore he wants to make her
- 0:25happy and he tries to find a way to get her a gift before she
- 0:28knows that guy is doing above, right.
- 0:31That's Hasidut. The same is true.
- 0:33You know what Hashem likes. You know where you're good at in
- 0:37the areas Hashem likes. And he tries to tap into those
- 0:40areas, not because you have to, not because you have 613 and
- 0:44this is one of them, but rather because you'd like to.
- 0:46And that is someone you're going above and beyond.
- 0:49And he has a strong connection that pulls him along.
- 0:51Is that we do we do that to make Hashem happy.
- 0:54We do it to make Hashem proud or happy.
- 0:56Exactly. And that's based on our
- 0:57connection. If we love him, I want to make
- 1:00him happy. Want to make him happy.
- 1:02Find ways outside of 6/13 so to speak above.
- 1:06You're required amount to do more out of that love.
- 1:09That's the basic. Could it be giving your heart,
- 1:11your whole heart and true? In any way that you do it, which
- 1:14means if a guy gives more effort, a person does a little
- 1:18more. A person in any area, he prays
- 1:23with more clarity. He does to learn a little more
- 1:25than he has to. And we said most things have
- 1:29loopholes. You couldn't get the right
- 1:31rabbit at the right situation. We can allow almost anything.
- 1:35OK, there are some people who never had cold food on Shabbat
- 1:38in their life because of a loophole, even if they were
- 1:42stuck somewhere. I didn't figured it out.
- 1:44So now if you want to do it the right way, you go above and
- 1:48beyond, you avoid those loopholes and you're the same
- 1:52way a person can elevate taxes cause a loopholes can catch out
- 1:54all taxes. Same way in a certain sense, a
- 1:56person can sketch out of to that car.
- 1:59They're one of the most challenging laws and laws of
- 2:01mass here. Based on laws of mass here, a
- 2:03person can say, I can't afford much.
- 2:05I can't give mass here. And they technically do not need
- 2:08to. That's all.
- 2:10But they do. Why do they?
- 2:12Because they don't want them to tap into a little ball.
- 2:15They want to do what God wants. This is all part of the theme.
- 2:18Now let's see page 339, the three primary elements of
- 2:27Hasidut of being this kind of genuine person who does more on
- 2:31liking to Hashem. There's three elements.
- 2:35There's one is being a hassid. And the actions that you do,
- 2:38Hashini orphan hasia #2 is not only how many actions you do,
- 2:44it's the style that you do the action Hashir Rashid, but cover
- 2:48not like I can mention the intention as you're hassid, you
- 2:52connected to God, your motivation and your mindset
- 2:55while you do the action. So you have the action itself,
- 2:58whether you do a Don tour, the style and how you do that
- 3:01action, we'll see what that means.
- 3:03Enthusiasm, excitement, et cetera.
- 3:05And then the intention behind it usually is the core behind it
- 3:08all, or is your drive and your clarity and your focus.
- 3:12That becomes the engine of that enthusiasm of that complete
- 3:16action. Let's see it through the idea of
- 3:20being a Hassian action even that has two parts to see if we give
- 3:27you clarity in this, the person can be a Hasid regarding God and
- 3:34a person can be a Hasid regarding his fellow man.
- 3:38How do you explain that, Richard?
- 3:39He can be a Hasid regarding a fellow man, which means you know
- 3:46you do more than you have to exactly this idea of being a
- 3:53Hasid between you and God. So you say we've got a you and
- 3:57man is overly sensitive, overly caring.
- 3:59Absolutely. What does it mean by my essay?
- 4:02She went down on my comb first when it comes to God idea is
- 4:06doing all my thoughts with every single detail, with every
- 4:10required step without trying to skip a beat, without trying to.
- 4:14You know, you could pray and you could skip the cicadas amount At
- 4:17times. You skip a couple of halukas.
- 4:20You can tap into the halahad. There's a workers mignon who's
- 4:24allowed to pray before this month.
- 4:25There's a halahad, it's something called mignon of the
- 4:28workers. They can pray before the time
- 4:29and it's allowed in, right? And you got to do what you got
- 4:33to do. As they say, you can pray with
- 4:34Quran. All these things are legal
- 4:37legals, loopholes, right? But they're not the complete
- 4:40way. They're not the full way.
- 4:42What they are are someone just checking boxes, sometimes
- 4:48necessary. I'll give you 2 areas where this
- 4:50stuff comes up. 1 is praying be ahir.
- 4:53There are certain lenient alihot that allow a person at times to
- 4:56pray be ahir. But you know what I know?
- 4:59And when the guy prays be ahir, what is it to fill out look like
- 5:02and prayers at only there's talent to filling.
- 5:05It's quicker, it's very hard to keep the focus.
- 5:08It's very hard to pray the entire prayer at home.
- 5:11Even times I've done behi here and there, it ended up becoming
- 5:15shrunk and not real. And you tend to the kids and you
- 5:18tend to this, you tend to that. Let's sketch.
- 5:22That's someone who's taking this bean Jack in the boxes in a weak
- 5:25way and falls apart. And the same is true when it
- 5:29comes to another example I had for guilt, too, by the way, I
- 5:33say, yeah, guilts. We want that guilt.
- 5:37That guilt is a hassle. You know, I can't feel guilty.
- 5:41Go. Ahead to drabble was.
- 5:45Inside a drabble? Come on, please.
- 5:46We're good thing. And that'll probably be OK
- 5:48Tomorrow they're realizing that they only took me 15 minutes.
- 5:53Right, right. And you're like, I'm sure it's
- 5:56supposed to be taking 15 minutes until they get.
- 6:03So all this is technically speaking, very often much more
- 6:05legal than people publicize. It's kind of legal, but it's
- 6:08also kind of very illegal because it's legal.
- 6:10Checks the box, but it's hollow. The goal of a HA seat, really a
- 6:16person is doing above and beyond.
- 6:18The goal of this person is not really so much to do the above
- 6:21and beyond. The ultimate focus is so that
- 6:25when you do above and beyond, you display strength.
- 6:28When you display that energy in that strength.
- 6:30Could you take one? The goal is that this person
- 6:35actually does them. Its fault in a full way,
- 6:38ultimately, God. God does not need you to do 614.
- 6:41All He wants to do is 6/13, put a full 613.
- 6:44And the way you can do a full 613 is by being highly motivated
- 6:49and highly driven to make Hashem happy.
- 6:52And by that, by that connection with that being your motivation
- 6:56and your energy, you end up wanting to do.
- 6:59If I want to make Hashem happy and about if you need to look
- 7:01like something exciting, it can't look dry.
- 7:03If I want to make God happy, then my charity needs to have a
- 7:06smile. It can't be one that's a grumpy
- 7:08base. If I need to make sure I'm happy
- 7:11and my learning needs to have a schedule, not just come in and
- 7:14go right, am I going to make sure I'm happy?
- 7:17I need to make sure to, to, to raise my children with the full
- 7:21drive and understanding of Taurama.
- 7:23All these areas have extra strong strength.
- 7:27When you add the motivation of making a sham happy, it's a
- 7:30whole different ball game because the outcome is the
- 7:34outcome. I'm happy that you're happy.
- 7:37Really that sense of happy coming back, but the outcome
- 7:40actually ends up being all. You can see the things like this
- 7:44in life. Some people do things without
- 7:48thinking about the results. Others are a result driven
- 7:51business. Now sometimes that's a group of
- 7:54business to be a result driven. Maybe you cut some corners when
- 7:58it comes to the Omid sports. If your result is a check the
- 8:02box, no good. But if you result, your goal is
- 8:08to make our sham happy and that's going to allow more to
- 8:12yeomanswat 'cause every time he sang in prayer, he said what
- 8:14would God think of this to fill up?
- 8:16What would God think of this learning?
- 8:18What does God say about how my house looks?
- 8:21Does God say about my schedule, my routine, how I speak?
- 8:25All these things actually end up creating much more to
- 8:30yeomanswats than less results often cause kind of corners, but
- 8:35results driven when the result is guarded ends up making you
- 8:39that much traumatic and the person has to think in the back
- 8:41of their mind. I want to be genuine and genuine
- 8:43means I'm doing Hashem's will not doing just mid foot.
- 8:47You know there's A and a bomb when he writes and the Mishnah
- 8:51he writes the words Aman hashemi everything he writes A pasuk, he
- 8:57says Hashem said Torah says Hashem said a strong word.
- 9:03What's he trying to do? Trying to bring you to life is
- 9:06the Word of God. I'm reading the word of God, how
- 9:09merciful one says and use that word and you're talking to God.
- 9:14You're talking about God's word. If you knew that every word of
- 9:17the God is God's word, that's a whole different feel to it.
- 9:20And that's the guy who is a Hasid.
- 9:23It's a person whose motivation at its core is beyond just doing
- 9:27what I'm told and what I have to do.
- 9:30I'm doing what God wants me to do.
- 9:32And it gives more energy to what you do.
- 9:33Is it a high level? Absolutely, but it is something
- 9:36that we can all keep in the back of mind of sure we're doing them
- 9:38as well. Anyway, you're going to pray,
- 9:40you're learning, you're giving charity, you might might as well
- 9:44do a right cycle, authentic, genuine goal.
- 9:47All right. Or written into the paragraph.
- 9:56No stop. We have something called, which
- 10:00means the auxiliary elements and the extras, Vamrou Shahram.
- 10:06It's what the power of doing the extras is, the power to protect
- 10:11us from punishment. Kiava BI shekufa mitzvah, Even
- 10:15though the body, that core, the mitzvah can be done by anybody,
- 10:19an excited guy or boring guy, a guy was connected to Hashem is a
- 10:23Hasid, one who's not. They all get the skeleton, but
- 10:27the energy, the fat, the fullness of the mitzvah, right?
- 10:32That's for the average Jew, for us who are trying to aspire to
- 10:39be something special. The difference is that they
- 10:44expand. They don't try to cut down.
- 10:48It's a whole different Jew. There's a Jew and there's a Jew.
- 10:52There's a guy who checks the Bible called Religious Servant.
- 10:55Orthodox checks the boxes comes with an excitement and a fervor
- 11:00and a. Connection example it's.
- 11:03A whole different animal and it brings out the Gary bird.
- 11:07And. The point is to keep in the back
- 11:15of our mind this desire, this drive, this interest to do
- 11:21what's going on, the flowing. You don't realize that extra
- 11:25motivation to do something gives that something so much more
- 11:31strength. Number one, very often we went
- 11:35interested in doing mitzvah. Besides having loopholes which
- 11:40shrink down the mitzvah, you also have excuses which absolve
- 11:44us totally from the mitzvah. Very often you have excuses.
- 11:48Most people from most things have excuses, but the thing I to
- 11:52learn, to pray, to give charity, there's all sorts of excuses And
- 11:56then what happens besides the shrinking it?
- 11:59They don't do it at all. So the idea and the motivation
- 12:03to be a guy with a Hasid Exactly.
- 12:07Once you shrink it down to a small level and then shrink it
- 12:09down to a zero level, a person's highly motivated.
- 12:12How? If you look around and you see
- 12:14results out there, most of them come from highly motivated
- 12:18people. What about the non motive
- 12:20people? Aren't they?
- 12:20I don't they care about Hashem. They do, but they have so many
- 12:23excuses and you know what life is full of excuses.
- 12:25Every one of us have millions of excuses.
- 12:27I give my classic example. OK, it's not too my own Ormond
- 12:31just to give an example. So my wife was pregnant during
- 12:35the summertime all year long. I'm thinking we never had a baby
- 12:38in the summer. All babies always wanted in the
- 12:40fall of the winter. What in the world is going to be
- 12:42the plan? I have a baby in the summer.
- 12:45How am I going to get to the shoe lunch about by the way I
- 12:48speak the details. I live in Lakewood during the
- 12:51week. Deal on Shabbat, Osama.
- 12:55My inlaws are a lake on Shabbat. So it's going to be a crazy
- 12:58runaround, huh? Opposite.
- 13:01Yeah, Manila's on lake on Shabbat.
- 13:02Now imagine why it was Libra on Shabbat.
- 13:06I'm to get a hold of my mom in law.
- 13:08A doctor by the way, was where man get hold on Mala.
- 13:13Get to the city. It's going to be a crazy run
- 13:15around. Now.
- 13:16It's very good chance at least we're going to miss 2 Shabbats
- 13:19and deal because she could easily be almost on labour going
- 13:22to she was not going to come to deal with that and then the next
- 13:26week she just had a baby. Not going to deal with that
- 13:28right. So all that I'm thinking it can
- 13:30really disrupt the whole shoe because no other rabbi besides
- 13:32everybody was only there for Anna Santa.
- 13:35It's not playing hold out to you, but I really want to run
- 13:38the shoe. I really want to do it.
- 13:40That's my wife's credit, unbelievable credit end up being
- 13:45that the doctor decided that she needs to induce.
- 13:47I scheduled the inducement 4 Wednesday night early Wednesday
- 13:53morning Tuesday night Wednesday morning OK Wednesday morning I
- 13:56had a baby Wednesday morning Wednesday afternoon.
- 13:59I'm sorry she came home Thursday night Friday afternoon I had to
- 14:04sign iron. I went to deal with a couple of
- 14:07kids. He's there on Lakewood by the
- 14:09next week she came to dealer and there being we dinner this week.
- 14:13How you name the baby and deal without her imagine and the
- 14:17point is she wouldn't have been in the show, but the point is
- 14:21right around the end was nobody but the point is because she was
- 14:25unmotivated for the running of the shoe.
- 14:27So as I had this result, anyone could have had, at least, I
- 14:32mean, that paternity leave, you could leave for a month, forget
- 14:34about leave for a day, at least a day, right?
- 14:38It's not credit to me, it's credit to her.
- 14:40But the point is, is that a person's got to be interested in
- 14:43doing something. I had a desire to do that tool
- 14:46and to make it work. I didn't want it to flop.
- 14:47I didn't want it to fall back. It was the middle of the summer.
- 14:49I felt the miss one week. The whole of my mindset.
- 14:53Anything you do, any area in any area of life, if you add the
- 14:57extra spice, extra energy, extra effort, you get it done, all
- 15:01right. And then you get things done.
- 15:02And well, you don't, because we all have basic loopholes and we
- 15:06all have skeletons and there was all of the basic element to do.
- 15:11Now you have to more. You feel.
- 15:15Sure, 100% you feel you feel the full thing.
- 15:19I'm start with this.
