Transcript
- 0:14Speaker 1: Hey, I do Part two.
- 0:16Speaker 2: It's your celebrity mentor Kathy Sports and I'm here today
- 0:20Speaker 2: with my producer, Heather, and we are going to break
- 0:23Speaker 2: down the headlines and there's a lot of them to
- 0:25Speaker 2: talk about today. How are you doing, Heather.
- 0:27Speaker 3: I'm good, Kathy. There is so much going on in
- 0:30Speaker 3: the world of Part two. It makes me feel normal
- 0:34Speaker 3: sometimes when I read these headlines.
- 0:37Speaker 1: I am right with you. Should we just jump right
- 0:39Speaker 1: into it?
- 0:40Speaker 4: Yeah, let's jump into it.
- 0:41Speaker 1: Okay.
- 0:42Speaker 2: So Britney Cartwright is very upset after some cozy photos
- 0:47Speaker 2: appeared of ex Jack Taylor and her former publicists.
- 0:52Speaker 1: They were leaked.
- 0:53Speaker 2: It's been close to two years since Britney filed for
- 0:56Speaker 2: divorce from Jack's. They were married for four years, and
- 1:01Speaker 2: six months after their separation, Vander Pump Rules alum Jack's
- 1:06Speaker 2: is now dating, surprise, surprise, his publicist, Luri Krebs. Crebs
- 1:12Speaker 2: was also The Valley Star Cartwright's publicist until the photos leaked.
- 1:18Speaker 2: TMZ has published photos of Jack's with Crebs in Mexico
- 1:23Speaker 2: on Monday, July thirteenth, and apparently this relationship has deeply
- 1:28Speaker 2: developed over the past few months.
- 1:30Speaker 3: Yeah, I'm shocked, but I'm not shocked, okay, when I
- 1:33Speaker 3: see these photos, because Laurie and Jacks have always kind
- 1:37Speaker 3: of had some weird, flirty, too little, too close kind
- 1:41Speaker 3: of photos that they've posted together on the internet, and
- 1:44Speaker 3: even like when he's been with Brittany, like since he's
- 1:47Speaker 3: it's that's why it was like not when Jack's was single,
- 1:50Speaker 3: Like these pictures were like throughout his marriage and relationships,
- 1:53Speaker 3: so it was always a little too close I thought
- 1:56Speaker 3: for a working relationship in terms of photos. I'm a
- 2:00Speaker 3: little bit bug for Brittany in this. You know, it's
- 2:03Speaker 3: just another way that Jacks has kind of jacked her. It's,
- 2:07Speaker 3: you know, very typical Jack's behavior.
- 2:10Speaker 1: Yeah, this isn't new for him.
- 2:12Speaker 3: No, he's he's always kind of doing things that he's
- 2:17Speaker 3: not supposed to be doing. But it's just hilarious because
- 2:20Speaker 3: if anybody's watched The Valley, you know, when they were
- 2:23Speaker 3: initially going through the beginning stages of their divorce, Jax
- 2:27Speaker 3: was harping on Britney about the fact that the first
- 2:31Speaker 3: guy she kind of dated hooked up with after they
- 2:34Speaker 3: decided to split was somebody that Jax knew like a
- 2:38Speaker 3: distant friend. So the fact that like he was so
- 2:41Speaker 3: adamant about that. How horrible that was that Britney did
- 2:44Speaker 3: that To then turn around and go get into a
- 2:48Speaker 3: pseudo relationship with the woman that's been not only representing
- 2:51Speaker 3: you for years but also your ex wife soon to
- 2:54Speaker 3: be ex wife. It's just a little you know, Jax,
- 2:58Speaker 3: Come on now, it's literally what you said was so
- 3:01Speaker 3: upsetting to you a year ago.
- 3:03Speaker 2: Yeah, well, you know, things change in a year. I
- 3:06Speaker 2: feel the most sorry for their little five year old son, Cruise,
- 3:09Speaker 2: because this stuff is playing out. People see it, people
- 3:13Speaker 2: talk about it, and I'm with you, I'm not really
- 3:16Speaker 2: surprised because it's it's part of how he's behaved in
- 3:19Speaker 2: the past, and I'm not really shocked that when you
- 3:22Speaker 2: have that kind of triangle, you know, publicist for both
- 3:25Speaker 2: of them and close relationship, I'm not shocked that somebody
- 3:29Speaker 2: crossed the line.
- 3:29Speaker 1: I'm really not.
- 3:31Speaker 3: Yeah, it's it's very typical. But we'll have to see
- 3:34Speaker 3: how this kind of continues to unfold, because definitely, uh,
- 3:39Speaker 3: Britney no longer is using this publicist as to what's
- 3:42Speaker 3: being reported right now. Okay, moving on, Crystal Harris says
- 3:47Speaker 3: she regrets marrying Hugh Hefner and that she forgot her
- 3:51Speaker 3: own worth to fit into his life. Now, everybody kind
- 3:55Speaker 3: of remembers that Krystal Hefner married Hugh Hefner not long
- 4:00Speaker 3: before he passed.
- 4:01Speaker 4: People probably won't remember this, though.
- 4:04Speaker 3: That they were engaged before that, and she actually left
- 4:10Speaker 3: him like a couple of days before their set wedding,
- 4:14Speaker 3: and she left him and got into a relationship with
- 4:18Speaker 3: doctor Phil's son, and that's who she was with for
- 4:21Speaker 3: a minute.
- 4:22Speaker 4: Now, why do I remember this? Oh?
- 4:24Speaker 3: I remember this because my roommate at the time was
- 4:27Speaker 3: the publicist for the Playboy Mansion. So when this was
- 4:30Speaker 3: all playing out, we were talking about this in our
- 4:33Speaker 3: kitchen at night. So that's how it's embedded in my brain.
- 4:37Speaker 3: But probably a lot of people have forgotten this. So
- 4:39Speaker 3: Crystal then after some time, got out of that relationship,
- 4:43Speaker 3: went back to hef and then they got married, and
- 4:47Speaker 3: then heff passed away, leaving her a very young widow.
- 4:52Speaker 3: Since then, Crystal has gone on and got married, but
- 4:56Speaker 3: she recently was sharing, you know, on social media a
- 4:59Speaker 3: little bit. In a video on Instagram on Tuesday, she
- 5:03Speaker 3: explained why she regrets marrying the late Playboy founder, adding
- 5:07Speaker 3: that she regrets the version of myself that she abandoned
- 5:11Speaker 3: to survive in that environment. So they tied the knot
- 5:14Speaker 3: in twenty twelve and remain married until he died in
- 5:17Speaker 3: twenty seventeen, when he was ninety one years old. And
- 5:21Speaker 3: then Krystal went on, like I said, to marry James
- 5:23Speaker 3: Ward this April. She said in the Instagram video. Do
- 5:28Speaker 3: I regret marrying Hugh Hefner. Of course I do, and
- 5:31Speaker 3: that's not because of where it brought me. I'm grateful
- 5:34Speaker 3: for the woman I became on the other side of it,
- 5:37Speaker 3: But yes, I regret it. I regret being in my
- 5:41Speaker 3: mid twenties and thinking that marrying one of the most
- 5:44Speaker 3: famous men in the world meant that I had finally
- 5:46Speaker 3: made it, that I finally mattered or had value. I
- 5:50Speaker 3: regret the years I spent making myself smaller so his
- 5:53Speaker 3: world could feel bigger. She went on to say, I
- 5:57Speaker 3: regret the version of myself that I had to aband
- 6:00Speaker 3: just to survive in that environment. I regret that it
- 6:03Speaker 3: took me as long as it did to understand what
- 6:05Speaker 3: was actually happening, like years, And I think a lot
- 6:09Speaker 3: of people expected me to never say that out loud,
- 6:13Speaker 3: to stay in the story that was written for me,
- 6:16Speaker 3: the grateful young wife and lucky girl. She added, however,
- 6:20Speaker 3: she is done living in that version of the story.
- 6:24Speaker 3: She explained that she regrets the marriage and that saying
- 6:27Speaker 3: that out loud is one of the most honest things
- 6:30Speaker 3: she has ever done. She says, telling my truth for
- 6:32Speaker 3: my younger self and for anyone who's ever forgotten their worth,
- 6:36Speaker 3: trying to find trying to fit into someone else's story. So,
- 6:41Speaker 3: you know, and she wrote a book, a memoir called
- 6:44Speaker 3: Only Say Good Things, Surviving Playboy and Finding Myself.
- 6:48Speaker 4: I don't know if you've been like.
- 6:50Speaker 3: In the loop a lot on this Playboy stuff that's
- 6:52Speaker 3: come out in the last couple of years. This is
- 6:54Speaker 3: not new information that we're hearing from a lot of
- 6:57Speaker 3: HEF's former girlfriends, whether they were long term or not.
- 7:01Speaker 3: They've all kind of started to say the same thing. So,
- 7:06Speaker 3: you know, we're obviously very happy for her that she
- 7:09Speaker 3: has found some you know, better connection. In her chapter two,
- 7:14Speaker 3: it sounds like when I read comments like this that
- 7:17Speaker 3: people are making, it sounds to me like somebody's really
- 7:20Speaker 3: doing the work. Somebody's probably in therapy, really starting to
- 7:24Speaker 3: unpack some things. Because as much as I think that
- 7:27Speaker 3: that's sad that she's looking back on a past relationship
- 7:30Speaker 3: with regret. I can't say that I don't myself understand
- 7:35Speaker 3: those feelings, because I do.
- 7:38Speaker 2: Yeah, I I'll probably take some heat for this. I
- 7:42Speaker 2: agree with what you're saying, But just to play devil's
- 7:44Speaker 2: advocate for a minute, she stayed married to him until
- 7:48Speaker 2: he died, and so I have to wonder if if
- 7:54Speaker 2: she in the moment, she gleaned all the rewards of
- 8:00Speaker 2: being in the in the mansion, in the playboy mansion,
- 8:03Speaker 2: being married to him, and then subsequently now realizes and
- 8:08Speaker 2: is if you will unpacking that baggage she took with her.
- 8:12Speaker 2: I'm glad for her, but I think she was young
- 8:16Speaker 2: when she married him, and I think life itself has
- 8:19Speaker 2: taught her lessons.
- 8:20Speaker 1: I don't know.
- 8:22Speaker 2: It's so foreign to me to imagine marrying someone that
- 8:27Speaker 2: age and doing all the things that went along with
- 8:30Speaker 2: being married to be one of HEF's girls. I can't
- 8:34Speaker 2: even imagine it. I do find it interesting, though, when
- 8:37Speaker 2: she married her newest husband, James Ward, she says that
- 8:41Speaker 2: they had this quiet ceremony. They prioritize simplicity and an
- 8:48Speaker 2: intimacy with no guests, and all I could think of
- 8:51Speaker 2: is that is really going from one extreme to the other. Obviously,
- 8:56Speaker 2: I wish her all the best in her in her
- 8:58Speaker 2: new relationship, but Hugh Hefner was a magnet for years,
- 9:04Speaker 2: and so I just wonder whether I'm not sure she
- 9:08Speaker 2: fit into his story as much as all those women
- 9:11Speaker 2: fit into the story of the of the Playboy Mansion.
- 9:16Speaker 3: Just based on the things that I've watched, the documentaries
- 9:18Speaker 3: and the specials and stuff that have come out in
- 9:20Speaker 3: recent years, I think that maybe reading into this a
- 9:24Speaker 3: little bit the word regret it, I don't think she
- 9:27Speaker 3: actually gleaned that much from that marriage. I think that
- 9:30Speaker 3: he reportedly was not in great financial wealth towards the
- 9:37Speaker 3: end of his life. I know that he actually had
- 9:39Speaker 3: to sell that Playboy mansion before he died and not
- 9:44Speaker 3: like give it to his children or anything like that.
- 9:47Speaker 3: And part of the agreement in the sale was that
- 9:49Speaker 3: he got to live the remainder of his years at
- 9:53Speaker 3: the mansion. They've also talked about, you know, in these
- 9:55Speaker 3: specials that the mansion was really in disrepair, was like
- 9:58Speaker 3: really kind of gross inside.
- 10:01Speaker 2: I didn't necessarily mean financial remuneration.
- 10:03Speaker 4: But maybe that is part of the regret.
- 10:05Speaker 3: Maybe she didn't know the financial possibilities of what she
- 10:11Speaker 3: was going to get in this situation.
- 10:14Speaker 4: Maybe she was led astray. We don't know.
- 10:16Speaker 3: But what I notice when I read comments like that
- 10:20Speaker 3: is there's no expression of love. There's no expression of
- 10:28Speaker 3: I loved this man, or he taught me so much,
- 10:31Speaker 3: or I miss our connection. There's no speak of that.
- 10:34Speaker 3: It's her own personal experience. So who's to say. We'd
- 10:39Speaker 3: obviously love Crystal to come on the podcast and share
- 10:42Speaker 3: her experience and her journey to I do Part two
- 10:45Speaker 3: for sure, And.
- 10:46Speaker 2: You know what, I truly hope her Part two with
- 10:49Speaker 2: her new husband is the best beautiful marriage.
- 10:53Speaker 4: I do too.
- 10:54Speaker 2: And you know what, we all deserve love. Hobbiy Hantsaf
- 10:56Speaker 2: said that, So yeah, I really am wishing her love
- 10:59Speaker 2: to happen. Okay, let's move on our next news item. Here,
- 11:04Speaker 2: Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt's daughter is Zahara and Sun
- 11:08Speaker 2: Maddox publish a newspaper announcement they are dropping Pitt from
- 11:14Speaker 2: their names. Angelina and Brad's daughter, Zahara and Maddox Sun
- 11:20Speaker 2: Maddocks have taken the next step towards dropping Pit from
- 11:23Speaker 2: their names. According to court documents attained by People, the
- 11:27Speaker 2: twenty one year old and the twenty four year old
- 11:30Speaker 2: now both have proof of publication confirming their intent to
- 11:34Speaker 2: change their name. The two each published a legal notice
- 11:38Speaker 2: in the Los Angeles Daily Journal in accordance with California law.
- 11:42Speaker 2: Zahara published hers on Thursday, July ninth, while Maddox published
- 11:46Speaker 2: his on Tuesday July seventh. Sahara is requesting that her
- 11:50Speaker 2: full legal name now be Zahara Marley Jolee, while Maddox
- 11:56Speaker 2: is requesting his full legal name now be Maddox On Jolie.
- 12:01Speaker 2: The requests are yet to be granted, but the next
- 12:04Speaker 2: step is a hearing. Zahara's hearing has been scheduled for
- 12:07Speaker 2: September twenty eighth, and Maddox's is September fourteenth. Jolie's representative
- 12:13Speaker 2: has not responded to People at press time, but in
- 12:17Speaker 2: twenty twenty four a source told People that Pitt has
- 12:21Speaker 2: virtually no contact with his adult children. At the time,
- 12:27Speaker 2: he still had visitation with his younger kids, but they
- 12:29Speaker 2: have since become legal adults. That's the question I have
- 12:33Speaker 2: right there. How much visitation did he have?
- 12:39Speaker 3: Well? I think that this right, This declaration of changing
- 12:44Speaker 3: of the last name, I think is a big deal.
- 12:46Speaker 3: I think that these kids are kids, I mean they're
- 12:50Speaker 3: adults now, these young adults are really drawing a line
- 12:53Speaker 3: in the sand as to how they want to be
- 12:56Speaker 3: represented as public figures moving into the arts and enter
- 12:59Speaker 3: team areas that they're moving into. But it just kind
- 13:03Speaker 3: of I think lends to the rumor that something happened
- 13:08Speaker 3: a few years ago on the plane between Brad and
- 13:13Speaker 3: you know, one of his children that was unsettling, and
- 13:18Speaker 3: we do know. I think it's it's been reported that
- 13:21Speaker 3: Brad has given up alcohol in the recent years.
- 13:24Speaker 2: So apparently his team has said that this is a
- 13:28Speaker 2: result of a prolonged campaign of alienation of children against
- 13:32Speaker 2: their parent, and that was a close source to Pitt,
- 13:36Speaker 2: who is sixty two, tells people it is an incredibly
- 13:40Speaker 2: sad reality, but it's not surprising after years of one
- 13:45Speaker 2: parent weaponizing the children against the other with no regard
- 13:49Speaker 2: of the consequences. Now that all came from Brad Pitt's team,
- 13:53Speaker 2: but we have to wonder, like you said, what else
- 13:56Speaker 2: went on, not just what happened on that on the airplane.
- 14:01Speaker 1: The fact he gave a alcohol.
- 14:02Speaker 2: The fact is we haven't seen firsthand what's gone on
- 14:07Speaker 2: in that family, and so.
- 14:10Speaker 1: We don't really know.
- 14:12Speaker 2: The children are adults now, so maybe it's just an
- 14:16Speaker 2: accumulation of events that has made them do this. It's sad,
- 14:20Speaker 2: but at the same time, their public figures and they
- 14:23Speaker 2: have a right to have the name they.
- 14:25Speaker 3: Want, absolutely and I think that you know, we never
- 14:30Speaker 3: heard about there being some sort of positive co parenting
- 14:35Speaker 3: experience in this relationship when it started to break up.
- 14:39Speaker 3: You know, Brad seems to be happy in another relationship
- 14:42Speaker 3: now where he's been spotted publicly a lot. It just
- 14:47Speaker 3: kind of makes me sad because if we all go
- 14:51Speaker 3: back in our brains, you know, allegedly this relationship with
- 14:57Speaker 3: Angelina started when he was is still married to Jennifer Aniston,
- 15:03Speaker 3: so you know, to have ended that marriage for this
- 15:09Speaker 3: relationship and then been so public and you know, expanded
- 15:14Speaker 3: this family, only for this relationship to then also end
- 15:19Speaker 3: in a very tragic way to where you're not even
- 15:22Speaker 3: having allegedly a relationship with these children.
- 15:26Speaker 4: It's like, was it all worth?
- 15:30Speaker 3: It is kind of like what I would be thinking,
- 15:32Speaker 3: you know, if I was in that situation.
- 15:35Speaker 1: Yeah, I absolutely agree with you.
- 15:37Speaker 2: It's the name change to me, represents a much bigger
- 15:42Speaker 2: issue and that you just put your finger on it.
- 15:45Speaker 2: What happened that all these children do not have a
- 15:49Speaker 2: relationship with their dad. I can't personally imagine having children
- 15:55Speaker 2: that aren't in my life.
- 15:57Speaker 3: And yet, well, let's also remember that some of these
- 16:00Speaker 3: children Angelina had prior to their relationship, She had adopted
- 16:05Speaker 3: prior to But they were, But they were he was.
- 16:07Speaker 2: Raising them, That's what I'm saying. It doesn't to me,
- 16:10Speaker 2: that's inconsequential. He was raising them. They were a family unit.
- 16:14Speaker 2: They were parenting these kids. So I think the tragedy
- 16:18Speaker 2: here is not so much the name change.
- 16:21Speaker 1: I mean, look at me. I got married, I changed
- 16:23Speaker 1: my name. How many women do? I think the.
- 16:26Speaker 2: Real tragedy here is the loss of whether you get
- 16:31Speaker 2: divorced or not, the loss of a cohesive family unit
- 16:34Speaker 2: where there's respect and love even if you choose not
- 16:36Speaker 2: to be married.
- 16:37Speaker 1: That's the settest part for me.
- 16:39Speaker 3: Yeah, and we know that Brad has been able to
- 16:43Speaker 3: maintain a relationship with his ex Jennifer Aniston, even though
- 16:48Speaker 3: they didn't have children. We have seen them be super
- 16:51Speaker 3: cordial to each other, not only on red carpets, but
- 16:55Speaker 3: he's been a guest at her birthday party in recent years,
- 16:59Speaker 3: you know, So those two have been able to come
- 17:02Speaker 3: back from whatever it was that they went through, the
- 17:05Speaker 3: you know, the onslaught of all that press and negativity
- 17:09Speaker 3: and everything that they went through, and they've been able
- 17:11Speaker 3: to come out on the other side and maintain a
- 17:13Speaker 3: relationship because I think there was so much love there.
- 17:16Speaker 3: So it's kind of sad to see that him and
- 17:19Speaker 3: Angelina have not been able to get there. It looks
- 17:22Speaker 3: like on their own maybe they will someday, though.
- 17:26Speaker 1: Maybe they will.
- 17:27Speaker 2: And also the only the other differences Angelina, I mean, sorry,
- 17:31Speaker 2: Brad and Jennifer Aniston did not have children, and we
- 17:34Speaker 2: don't and we don't know, We don't know that maybe
- 17:38Speaker 2: these kids have come to this conclusion on their own,
- 17:42Speaker 2: whether it's supported by Angelina, probably, but I think that
- 17:46Speaker 2: that's the saddest part. These kids are adults now and
- 17:49Speaker 2: they're losing out on a great relationship with their dad.
- 17:53Speaker 4: Well, we don't know if it's a great relationship.
- 17:55Speaker 2: No, I said, they're losing out on what could have
- 17:57Speaker 2: been a great relationship.
- 17:59Speaker 3: Yeah, And I I want to say though, that you
- 18:02Speaker 3: can choose your friends, but you can't choose your family, right.
- 18:04Speaker 3: That's what I always used to hear growing up, and
- 18:08Speaker 3: the older that I've gotten, I have realized that just
- 18:12Speaker 3: because somebody is family does not mean that I need
- 18:16Speaker 3: to maintain a super close relationship with them. It means
- 18:21Speaker 3: that I can have distance and I can still recognize
- 18:24Speaker 3: that they are family, but that they don't get full
- 18:28Speaker 3: access to my life. That I don't put a gazillion
- 18:31Speaker 3: tons of effort into it because they don't put a
- 18:34Speaker 3: gazillion tons of effort into it, you know. So that's
- 18:37Speaker 3: something that you do realize. I think the older that
- 18:39Speaker 3: you get, is it unfortunate?
- 18:41Speaker 1: Sure? Is it?
- 18:43Speaker 4: If it's what's.
- 18:43Speaker 3: Best for them, then I think it's it's to be supported.
- 18:57Speaker 4: Moving on.
- 18:57Speaker 3: This is also kind of sad in the child custody situation,
- 19:01Speaker 3: but Gleb, professional dancer from Dancing with the Stars, he
- 19:05Speaker 3: filed an emergency child custody order claiming that his ex Elena,
- 19:10Speaker 3: kept daughters in Hong Kong without his permission. So it
- 19:14Speaker 3: says that Gleb has filed a request for an emergency
- 19:17Speaker 3: to Gleb has filed a request for an emergency child
- 19:21Speaker 3: custody order. According to court documents obtained by People, the
- 19:25Speaker 3: Dancing with the Stars pro requested temporary, sole, legal and
- 19:29Speaker 3: physical custody of his and his ex wife, Elena's fifteen
- 19:32Speaker 3: year old daughter Olivia, and asked that his ex have
- 19:36Speaker 3: no visitation under further court involvement.
- 19:41Speaker 4: So Gleb claimed.
- 19:43Speaker 3: That Elena, with whom he also shares daughter Zlata, who's
- 19:48Speaker 3: eight years old. He says that she relocated their girls
- 19:52Speaker 3: to Hong Kong for what was supposed to be a
- 19:54Speaker 3: temporary move following their divorce in twenty twenty three, adding
- 19:59Speaker 3: that she refused used to return to the United States
- 20:02Speaker 3: by the agreed upon date. His team claims instead, she
- 20:06Speaker 3: has remained in Hong Kong, obtained permanent Hong Kong residency,
- 20:11Speaker 3: enrolled the children in a expensive private school, and gotten
- 20:15Speaker 3: the children a cat. She's become engaged and had another
- 20:19Speaker 3: child with her fiancee. Elena has essentially established her life
- 20:25Speaker 3: with her fiance and our children. This is coming from Gleb,
- 20:29Speaker 3: he claims, in Hong Kong without my permission, that they
- 20:33Speaker 3: remain with her in Hong Kong. This has functionally forced
- 20:37Speaker 3: me to travel to Hong Kong each year to visit
- 20:39Speaker 3: the children, which I have consistently done despite Elena's efforts
- 20:43Speaker 3: taken to drastically limit my access to our daughters, he continued.
- 20:48Speaker 3: According to the filing, the former couple has been ordered
- 20:52Speaker 3: to attend a custody mediation on August fifth. Gleb also
- 20:57Speaker 3: claimed that Olivia is currently with him doesn't want to
- 21:00Speaker 3: live in Hong Kong. He claimed that it's the teen's
- 21:03Speaker 3: best interest to remain with her in her father's care
- 21:06Speaker 3: and be permitted to attend school in Los Angeles. Olivia
- 21:10Speaker 3: does not want to be in the position of having
- 21:12Speaker 3: to confront her mother, considering Elena's recent abusive comments to
- 21:17Speaker 3: our daughter, including that she is a disgrace to the family,
- 21:21Speaker 3: with other disparaging comments. So it goes on and on,
- 21:24Speaker 3: and basically his excess something to the effect of, like
- 21:28Speaker 3: that the daughter has a routine in Hong Kong and
- 21:30Speaker 3: this is going to like derail her professional dance career.
- 21:34Speaker 4: YadA, YadA, YadA. This is sad. This is also very sad.
- 21:38Speaker 2: It's very sad, But you know, it's interesting that Elena
- 21:42Speaker 2: is insisting that Hong Kong is the girl's permanent home
- 21:46Speaker 2: and that he is keeping the daughter in California and
- 21:54Speaker 2: canceled her flight back to China. And I just find
- 21:56Speaker 2: that so interesting that she moved them there. And you know,
- 22:01Speaker 2: this is you hear these stories all the time where
- 22:04Speaker 2: one parent takes a child out of the country never
- 22:07Speaker 2: to be seen again, or in this case, you know,
- 22:12Speaker 2: quite the flight to go visit your children. I don't understand.
- 22:19Speaker 2: I'm not a lawyer, I'm not an attorney, I'm not
- 22:21Speaker 2: a family law person, but it seems unclear to me
- 22:24Speaker 2: how either parent can take a child away from the
- 22:29Speaker 2: other parent and move to another country without granting the
- 22:33Speaker 2: other parent getting the agreement from the other parents.
- 22:36Speaker 1: So I don't even.
- 22:37Speaker 2: Understand how that's how this has happened. I think it's
- 22:40Speaker 2: incredibly sad and frankly, very unfair to the children.
- 22:45Speaker 3: Yeah, and it sounds like his ex has started a
- 22:48Speaker 3: completely new life in this country. So it was you know,
- 22:52Speaker 3: she's got a fiance, she's got another child with this person,
- 22:56Speaker 3: and we obviously know that he spends a lot of
- 22:58Speaker 3: his time in the United States on a TV show
- 23:01Speaker 3: and then you know, Dancing with the Stars goes on
- 23:03Speaker 3: tour after the show is done. So yeah, this sounds
- 23:09Speaker 3: really unfortunate and confusing. I have no idea, like you,
- 23:12Speaker 3: how this could even you know, be done. But there's
- 23:15Speaker 3: been other cases too. This is not the same, but
- 23:18Speaker 3: like actress Kelly Rutherford's kids were taken overseas for a
- 23:22Speaker 3: really long time and she ended up having to, I believe,
- 23:25Speaker 3: go overseas and like relocate, and so I don't know
- 23:29Speaker 3: how this happens, but it sounds really horrific.
- 23:33Speaker 2: It's and it's even more bizarre because Gleb himself holds
- 23:37Speaker 2: a permanent resident card, so the fact that he could
- 23:42Speaker 2: live there every once, to your point, he has a
- 23:44Speaker 2: career here. Somebody is talking about wrongful international retention. Elaineas
- 23:51Speaker 2: saying that that his filing was a rushed attempt to
- 23:57Speaker 2: bypass proper laws. It seems that her moving to Hong
- 24:02Speaker 2: Kong was a way to circumvent the law, and now
- 24:06Speaker 2: he's holding her in California.
- 24:09Speaker 1: I mean, I don't know.
- 24:10Speaker 2: I think that somebody needs to get a hold of
- 24:12Speaker 2: those kids and do an evaluation. And I don't sure
- 24:16Speaker 2: Landa's moved to Hong Kong and has another child and
- 24:19Speaker 2: the girls have a cat. Let's not forget that. But
- 24:22Speaker 2: I'm not sure that that's necessarily in their best interest.
- 24:25Speaker 2: And I can't believe that the government is not getting
- 24:29Speaker 2: involved one way or the other, because it seems that
- 24:32Speaker 2: international law is somehow indicated here.
- 24:35Speaker 1: There has to be some ruling on it.
- 24:37Speaker 3: Well, I guess we'll have to keep following this one
- 24:39Speaker 3: when they have this court hearing. In Happier News, Yes,
- 24:45Speaker 3: Josh Lucas says he's deeply grateful for wife Brianna Ruffalo
- 24:49Speaker 3: as they celebrate their first wedding anniversary.
- 24:51Speaker 4: Do you remember who Josh Lucas is.
- 24:53Speaker 3: I know him from being in Sweet Home, Alabama with
- 24:55Speaker 3: Reese Witherspoon, do.
- 24:56Speaker 1: You yes, yes, yes, I do?
- 24:58Speaker 3: So cute and that's a movie based onto Do you
- 25:00Speaker 3: remember that? The premise is like, she needs to get
- 25:04Speaker 3: married to Patrick Dempsey and then she forgets that she's
- 25:08Speaker 3: still married to the guy she kind of grew up
- 25:11Speaker 3: with back home in Alabama, So she's got to go
- 25:14Speaker 3: back and get a divorce. So Josh Lucas, this is
- 25:18Speaker 3: his I do part too. Brianna is his second wife.
- 25:22Speaker 3: So he actually has a teenage son, Noah, with his
- 25:26Speaker 3: ex Jessica Enriquez, and so he was recently though posting
- 25:32Speaker 3: about his one year wedding anniversary with Brianna. Uh, the
- 25:36Speaker 3: actor fifty five and the meteorologist. Yeah, uh, that's pretty cool.
- 25:41Speaker 3: Tied the knot last year at the Vatican. The couple
- 25:44Speaker 3: marked one year of marriage on Tuesday this week with
- 25:47Speaker 3: heartfelt posts on social media. He said, one year ago today,
- 25:51Speaker 3: I am so deeply grateful. I love you, Brianna. Happy anniversary,
- 25:55Speaker 3: and then he put like six photos of the couple
- 25:57Speaker 3: on their special day, including a close up shot of
- 25:59Speaker 3: their wedding rings at the altar. When they announced their
- 26:05Speaker 3: you know, engagement originally the after their dream ceremony last summer.
- 26:09Speaker 3: Josh first shared black and white photos on Instagram, announcing
- 26:14Speaker 3: the news on July seventeenth, twenty twenty five, tagging the
- 26:17Speaker 3: location as the Vatican. The snapshots from the Rome, Italy
- 26:21Speaker 3: enclave showed him and his wife staring at each other,
- 26:24Speaker 3: sharing a kiss, and walking out of their wedding holding hands.
- 26:28Speaker 4: So I think this is so sweet.
- 26:30Speaker 3: You know, they seem to be a very lovey dovey
- 26:32Speaker 3: couple and like love to kind of share on social
- 26:35Speaker 3: media their thoughts on each other.
- 26:38Speaker 4: And I think that's great.
- 26:40Speaker 3: It does show that, you know, you can find some
- 26:42Speaker 3: great love in this chapter two after you know, divorce
- 26:46Speaker 3: And let.
- 26:46Speaker 2: Me just say, if they were married at the Vatican
- 26:50Speaker 2: in Vatican City, I'm guessing this is a permanent relationship.
- 26:54Speaker 2: To undo that one would be a little complicated.
- 26:58Speaker 4: This is the other thing I know about Josh Ucas.
- 27:01Speaker 3: J Loo has said he was her best on screen
- 27:06Speaker 3: kiss of all time.
- 27:08Speaker 1: Wow, isn't that crazy? Don't you go?
- 27:10Speaker 4: It's weird the stuff that I have embedded in the brain.
- 27:14Speaker 3: But I believe she said that they actually did a
- 27:19Speaker 3: kiss scene.
- 27:20Speaker 4: And I want to say it.
- 27:21Speaker 3: Either was cut from the movie or like it was
- 27:26Speaker 3: in a movie that nobody saw. I can't remember that part,
- 27:29Speaker 3: but I remember her claiming on Watch what Happens Live
- 27:34Speaker 3: on Andy Cohen's show that it was like it like
- 27:37Speaker 3: really like she felt something like when he kissed her.
- 27:40Speaker 3: And then they of course talked to him about it
- 27:43Speaker 3: when he came on the next time, and I think he.
- 27:45Speaker 4: Was like really bashful about it. But that's all I know.
- 27:48Speaker 3: If like Jaylo has been around and kissed a lot
- 27:50Speaker 3: of guys on screen, she's I mean, she's kissed Matthew McConaughey.
- 27:55Speaker 2: You know, Like I lived near Matthew McConaughey, So you know,
- 27:58Speaker 2: all right, maybe on going for a kissed. Unfortunately, our
- 28:11Speaker 2: next one is not so happy. So Tom Segura hinted
- 28:19Speaker 2: at christina divorce and here we go. He is hinting
- 28:25Speaker 2: at is split from his wife, Christina Pazziski by ditching
- 28:29Speaker 2: his wedding ring during his latest podcast episode. He ditched
- 28:34Speaker 2: the ring for Monday's episode of his Two Bears, One
- 28:37Speaker 2: Cave podcast that he co hosts with his pal Bert Kreischer.
- 28:41Speaker 2: The hour long episode aired the same day as Segura
- 28:45Speaker 2: and paziski separation news came out. Segura had his wedding
- 28:49Speaker 2: ring during all his prior podcasts, but not.
- 28:53Speaker 1: Now, so here we go.
- 28:54Speaker 2: According to TMZ, they've separated within the last couple of
- 28:58Speaker 2: months after eighteen of marriage. It's sad that they have
- 29:03Speaker 2: two kids, Ellis who was born in twenty sixteen and
- 29:06Speaker 2: Julian born in twenty eighteen, so these are young kids.
- 29:11Speaker 1: Again.
- 29:13Speaker 2: It's just it's just more breakup of families in the public,
- 29:19Speaker 2: and it's just, uh, it's tough.
- 29:22Speaker 1: It's tough.
- 29:23Speaker 3: Well, these two they actually founded the Your Mom's House
- 29:28Speaker 3: podcast and network, which debuted in twenty twelve, and they
- 29:34Speaker 3: they haven't filmed an episode of Your Mom's House together since.
- 29:37Speaker 1: April, and yet they're still going to co host.
- 29:40Speaker 4: And they're going to continue to co host. Can you imagine?
- 29:43Speaker 4: That's that? To me, that kind of says a lot.
- 29:47Speaker 3: So I think that not all couples, if the divorce
- 29:53Speaker 3: is super contentious, would continue to work together. So it
- 29:57Speaker 3: makes me think that maybe this was a long time coming,
- 30:01Speaker 3: Maybe this was very mutual, Maybe there's still a very
- 30:05Speaker 3: high regard set for each other, because I can't imagine
- 30:09Speaker 3: two people continuing whether the business is successful or not,
- 30:13Speaker 3: it's a forward facing business, being on camera together, chit
- 30:17Speaker 3: chatting together. I can't imagine a contentious divorce couple continuing
- 30:21Speaker 3: to do that kind of work. So I think that's
- 30:24Speaker 3: a little bit hopeful. You know that they are going
- 30:26Speaker 3: to be able to continue on I don't think that
- 30:29Speaker 3: they're going to be able to get through this without
- 30:31Speaker 3: talking about it together on their show.
- 30:33Speaker 4: So that's, you know, something that I think we'll have
- 30:35Speaker 4: to see.
- 30:36Speaker 2: Yeah, Apparently a source said that they are taking different
- 30:41Speaker 2: paths moving forward while they're remaining devoted to the children,
- 30:45Speaker 2: So I think you're right.
- 30:46Speaker 3: Yeah, that is so vague and I literally no true meaning,
- 30:51Speaker 3: like what their different paths are.
- 30:54Speaker 1: What.
- 30:55Speaker 2: Well, I don't think it matters what the different paths
- 30:57Speaker 2: are as long as they are being the children out
- 31:01Speaker 2: of the fray. And I think that's what they're trying
- 31:03Speaker 2: to do. And I applaud I personally applaud that. As
- 31:06Speaker 2: my parents were divorced and it was the War of
- 31:08Speaker 2: the Roses, Do you think.
- 31:09Speaker 4: That anybody's really able to do that?
- 31:11Speaker 3: I mean, I truly, I mean I've not been married
- 31:15Speaker 3: or divorced, but I am the product of divorce.
- 31:17Speaker 4: I've also watched my sibling get divorced.
- 31:20Speaker 2: I'm also in the product of divorce and my parents
- 31:23Speaker 2: I was like the War of the Roses, but I've
- 31:26Speaker 2: had a sibling who's divorced, and you know, it's it's fine.
- 31:32Speaker 2: I mean, they parented the kids well together. I think
- 31:34Speaker 2: that's very different, at least publicly, they're going to try
- 31:39Speaker 2: to do it, and I think it's I think it's
- 31:41Speaker 2: a huge ordeal to say we're going to do this
- 31:44Speaker 2: podcast together, we're going to put our children first. But
- 31:47Speaker 2: I think it's positive. I'm going to hope for the
- 31:49Speaker 2: best on it.
- 31:50Speaker 3: Yeah, obviously positive and hope for the best. I just
- 31:53Speaker 3: don't think, I mean, is me being jaded. I just
- 31:57Speaker 3: don't think you can go through divorce and it not
- 32:00Speaker 3: impact your kids to some extent where human beings, at
- 32:03Speaker 3: the end of the day, you took vows with somebody
- 32:06Speaker 3: for better or for worse, till death do us.
- 32:08Speaker 1: Part, or until I find someone I like better exactly.
- 32:12Speaker 3: And so I just I don't feel the mutual thing.
- 32:15Speaker 3: When I hear people break up and it's mutual. When
- 32:18Speaker 3: I hear people divorce and it's mutual, I don't believe it.
- 32:22Speaker 4: That's just me.
- 32:23Speaker 3: I think that one person initiates, one person wants it more.
- 32:27Speaker 4: Can I believe that two people are.
- 32:29Speaker 3: Upset when you know it happens, Yes, But do I
- 32:33Speaker 3: think that both people sit together, come to a table
- 32:36Speaker 3: and go we should divorce.
- 32:37Speaker 4: Yeah, you're right, we should.
- 32:38Speaker 3: I just don't think that that actually happens, and I
- 32:41Speaker 3: think that it's really after especially that long together, eighteen
- 32:46Speaker 3: years of marriage, I find it highly improbable that you
- 32:52Speaker 3: are never saying something bad about your ex ever in
- 32:57Speaker 3: front of your children.
- 32:59Speaker 1: I don't disagree with.
- 33:00Speaker 2: You, Heather, but I do think that if they're starting
- 33:03Speaker 2: from the premise of we're going to be civil human beings.
- 33:07Speaker 2: That beats that beats the you know, the opposite that
- 33:11Speaker 2: we're just trashing each other.
- 33:13Speaker 1: And remember, these people are.
- 33:14Speaker 2: In the public eye, so if they're going to try
- 33:18Speaker 2: to be civil to one another, I applaud it.
- 33:20Speaker 1: I hope it continues exactly.
- 33:23Speaker 4: We'll have to watch that one unfold.
- 33:25Speaker 2: Heather, can you believe that we have more stories to
- 33:29Speaker 2: get through. Let's just take a quick pause here and
- 33:32Speaker 2: then we'll get right back into it with some more
- 33:34Speaker 2: of these stories.
