- 0:00Holy Spirit, Lord Jesus, Abba Father, we come
- 0:04to you today grateful, grateful that we get to
- 0:07do this. It's not just the name of a show. It's
- 0:10a mantra for who we are and it's a declaration
- 0:13of gratitude to you. So Lord, as we talk today,
- 0:17we consecrate our words to you, pray for our
- 0:19listeners, so thankful for them. May they find
- 0:22encouragement and hope and inspiration in what
- 0:25we do today. In Jesus' name, amen. It's Wednesday,
- 0:29July 22nd, 2026. We get to do this. This is episode
- 0:34number 42. How you doing, brother? I'm doing
- 0:54great, actually. Yeah. Apologies up front to
- 0:58our listeners who were like, I've been waiting
- 1:01all day for the show. How come we didn't get
- 1:03the show yet? Oh, there you go. Yes. There were
- 1:07reasons. The main reason being we had a death
- 1:11in the family, and that would be the Noagenda
- 1:13family, but also the Curry family and the Dvorak
- 1:16family as John C. Dvorak passed two days ago.
- 1:20And I wanted to make sure that you heard it from
- 1:23no agenda first before we just started discussing
- 1:27it here. Fully appropriate. And wow, this is
- 1:31a good time to have a pastor as a friend. Because
- 1:35it has been just the wildest week with the arrival
- 1:40of our granddaughter. Huge celebration. I mean,
- 1:43just insane. Of course, we had you know, left
- 1:47Holland. So we had, we had missed the barely.
- 1:50Um, how many days was it? It was five days, five,
- 1:54six days. Yeah. That's still relatively close
- 1:57in time terms, but we were living in a socialist
- 2:00country in a hotel room for two weeks. You know,
- 2:04I couldn't take it. Couldn't take it any longer.
- 2:06Now we, we had stuff to do. Yeah. And, uh, and
- 2:10so Sunday, um, Did the show with with John C
- 2:14Dvorak no agenda great show mm -hmm I listened
- 2:18to over half of it and the energy was there everything
- 2:21was there It was it was man both of you were
- 2:24in full form yeah, and then for you know and
- 2:26when we when we end the show we We don't really
- 2:29say, we don't really talk much. It's like I'm
- 2:32looking for opening clips, that little opening
- 2:34bit. And then we go through the credits and usually
- 2:37would be laughing about, because I've set my
- 2:39robot up to do the clips and like, well, let's
- 2:42see if that stupid robot got the credits right.
- 2:45And we went through that and then we select the
- 2:47art, which is sometimes a discussion, but we
- 2:50both agreed. Yeah, that's a good one. We'll use
- 2:52that one. Do the title and then, you know, wait
- 2:55until everything's published. We check and make
- 2:56sure it's on the website. Okay. All right. We'll
- 2:59talk to you on Thursday. Yeah. Adios. Yeah. And
- 3:01that was it. And you've done this for 19. Almost
- 3:04in October. It'll be 19 years in October. Yeah.
- 3:07And for a majority of that twice a week. So I,
- 3:11this is my work wife. No kidding. Yeah. And so,
- 3:15um, was it, uh, yeah. Monday. right Monday, I'm
- 3:20on my way to go play chess with Willie. You know,
- 3:23that's my Sabbath and as part of the, part of
- 3:26the joy of, you know, not really doing any work
- 3:29and just resting. And I see John's wife, Mimi,
- 3:33pop up on my screen calling, you know, like,
- 3:36and she's in, on the West coast. I'm like, this
- 3:39can't be good. And, and, and she told me, I mean,
- 3:44I had to pull over the side of the road. I just,
- 3:48what? I flabbergasted so I literally went from
- 3:53that super high from you know not even 24 hours
- 3:57before that to just oh oh wow and it was now
- 4:02the the thing that I Love and by this this is
- 4:06in the newsletter John had done the show and
- 4:10Mimi was at the house because you know they have
- 4:13a place in Washington so it was nice that she
- 4:15was there and you know they had dinner and they
- 4:17were joking and laughing and then sitting on
- 4:19the couch watching an old NCIS and John was typical
- 4:23fashion grousing about the actor and an obvious
- 4:26hole in the plot and as Mimi describes it, it
- 4:29was just lights out. Wow. Complete lights out.
- 4:33That was it. There was no, there was nothing
- 4:36to do. Everything just, everything turned off
- 4:39like he was unplugged. And I'm thinking, brother,
- 4:44sign me up for that one. I know. I said the same
- 4:47thing to Annette. That's how I want to go. Sign
- 4:50me up. But I want to be watching When Calls the
- 4:52Heart. But that's how I want to go. Not anytime
- 4:56soon, but yeah, when it's time. And so now this
- 5:00just started this whole process. Oh, gosh. Now,
- 5:04there were very few. We kept it within the close
- 5:06family because we wanted to just make sure. really
- 5:10no agenda is, you know, it's hundreds of thousands
- 5:12of people worldwide and they need to hear it
- 5:15from us first. And, you know, the obvious question
- 5:18is what now? And so this is kind of the place
- 5:22where I'm at now is, well, what now? That's a,
- 5:24you've been in a cascade. I mean, like a, like
- 5:27Niagara falls coming over the ridge, you know,
- 5:30of just, okay, there's a lot of decisions that
- 5:33need to be made in a relatively short time. Yes.
- 5:38And What's interesting is that it's as if, well,
- 5:44and that's not as if, but the devotionals that
- 5:46pop up, the things that in my own devotionals
- 5:50book, it's like, did you, God, did you put these
- 5:55on this date for all this to coincide, for me
- 5:57to read this right now? And I just want to go
- 6:00through a couple of the scriptures. I have not
- 6:02sought out Scripture. They have literally come
- 6:04to me, you know, through the YouVersion app,
- 6:08through my Study Bible app, through things people
- 6:12have emailed me. I mean, literally just—I should
- 6:16read this—just before I got into the car to come
- 6:20over here, I got an email just out of the blue
- 6:25from John Doe—I have no idea who he is—and he
- 6:31says, praying for peace for you and everyone
- 6:34this morning, Adam. He has no idea what's going
- 6:36on. Wow. Just out of the blue. And I, okay, right,
- 6:41thank you. You know, that is, thank you. I needed
- 6:43that more than you even know. Holy Spirit knows.
- 6:46Holy Spirit does know. So the scriptures that
- 6:50have been popping up for me, Psalm 37 23, which
- 6:55is, I mean, it's a Pastor Jimmy Pruitt classic.
- 7:00That's my go -to. But it wasn't from you. It
- 7:02popped up elsewhere. Beautiful. And this is the
- 7:06NLT. The Lord directs the steps of the godly.
- 7:10He delights in every detail of their lives. Because
- 7:12we hear it more like the Lord orders your steps
- 7:15and delights in the details of your life. And
- 7:19this is how I'm taking it, because I am just
- 7:21trying to listen and praying. Lord, what am I
- 7:25supposed to do? Where am I supposed to go with
- 7:26this? What is the next step? Are you opening
- 7:30doors? I've just been asking, asking, asking.
- 7:35As well as the details of just handling the immediate.
- 7:39Oh, that's a good point. Talking to the family,
- 7:41the grief wave that hits. So, this is the devotional
- 7:44that went with that Scripture. The person whom
- 7:47God delights is one who follows God, trusts Him,
- 7:51and tries to do His will. God watches over and
- 7:54makes firm every step that person takes. If you
- 7:57would like to have God direct your way, then
- 8:00seek His advice before you step out. And before
- 8:05I ask you a question, it goes into Proverbs 19
- 8:07.21. Also just came up, you know, there's no
- 8:10coincidence in the kingdom. There are many plans
- 8:14in a man's heart. Nevertheless, the Lord's counsel
- 8:17that will stand. Wow. And that's the new King
- 8:23James version, which I kind of like that. Do
- 8:27you know an NLT version or how would you? Yeah,
- 8:31the NLT is a little more casual, colloquial,
- 8:33conversational, narrative style. New King James
- 8:36version takes the Elizabethan English spin out
- 8:40of it, but still holds that same classical face.
- 8:44For some reason, I'm an NLT. NASB guy, not a
- 8:50new King James version guy. So here's the one
- 8:53that really, and I think I shared this with you.
- 8:56This came from my daily devotional for men, which
- 9:01my daughter gave me for Christmas, Boyd Bailey.
- 9:06And it was a little bit longer than this, but
- 9:09there was multiple parts with the scripture in
- 9:11the middle. God's will is a continuous journey
- 9:14of discovery and faith. True obedience requires
- 9:17stepping into the unknown without being paralyzed
- 9:20by uncertainty, trusting Jesus as our guide while
- 9:24staying flexible to the Holy Spirit's direction
- 9:26rather than locked into our own rigid plans.
- 9:30Then they break it up with the scripture, Hebrews
- 9:3211, 8. By faith, Abraham, when called to go to
- 9:35a place he would later receive as his inheritance,
- 9:38obeyed and went even though he did not know where
- 9:40he was going. And so this the devotional closes
- 9:45out by saying Are you inspired or intimidated
- 9:48by your faith adventure? Do you anticipate or
- 9:51dread doing the next right thing as you fulfill
- 9:53God's calling on your life? Yes, Christ must
- 9:57come to you in clarity before you venture out
- 9:59for him in obedience But once you are sure of
- 10:02the Lord's leading do not let up until you have
- 10:05arrived at his destination Go on your great adventure
- 10:08with God like a visit to a new country enjoy
- 10:11the new sites and people. I love that. You sent
- 10:15that piece to me and I said, that will be a next
- 10:18week sermon. It was such a good statement. It's
- 10:22good. So the question, because I've always felt
- 10:28like I When I'm asking God, is this what you
- 10:34want me to do? It's not like it appears in the
- 10:37clouds, yeah, Adam, that's the thing to do. But
- 10:39after asking and praying, okay, I feel confident
- 10:41now. This is new for me because now I'm in a
- 10:46scenario that is not the same as my other times
- 10:51talking to God and asking Him. Is it just? grief
- 10:55speaking, you know what I'm saying? It's like,
- 10:57how can I trust what I'm hearing? I'm hearing
- 11:00things for sure, but now I'm doubting. Is this
- 11:05the right way to go? Is this the right thing
- 11:06to do? This is a situation that's new for me.
- 11:10So if you have any counsel or words on that,
- 11:13that would be probably appreciated. There's a
- 11:17great scripture that says, I'm paraphrasing because
- 11:19I don't have it in front of me, but A matter
- 11:24is established out of the mouth of two or three
- 11:26witnesses. I'm laughing because I wrote that
- 11:32one down as well. That's a good one because to
- 11:36me it gives us an insight into how God speaks
- 11:38to us and establishes a matter in our heart,
- 11:41in our mind, in our spirit. So, you'll hear something
- 11:44and you go, is that God, me, or the devil? It's
- 11:47one of the three, right? But it'll be established
- 11:51out of the mouth of two or three witnesses. You'll
- 11:53hear it again from somebody else, like some of
- 11:56these scriptures that just seem to come randomly,
- 11:59but they're all thematic. They all fit in the
- 12:02same flow. That's God speaking to you. So, I've
- 12:05learned to trust multiple anchors, multiple…
- 12:09God speaks in multiples to me. So I'll hear something,
- 12:13I'll go, man, that is so good. But I used to
- 12:17say, that must be God, and I'd run off with it.
- 12:19And then it wasn't. It was just a good idea.
- 12:21Maybe not a God idea, but a good idea. I've learned
- 12:24as I've gotten older to when I get something,
- 12:27I think is a clearer word from God, to not just
- 12:29act immediately, but to wait for those two or
- 12:32three witnesses. And it may come in a scripture,
- 12:35it may come as a lyric in a song, it may come
- 12:38as a in a conversation, somebody says something,
- 12:42I go, whoa, there it is. And I always have this
- 12:45thought, this is that, this is that, this is
- 12:48that. And that's based out of scriptures where
- 12:51Jesus said, this is that, which was said by the
- 12:53prophets, this is that. So out of the mouth of
- 12:56two or three witnesses, so I listened for multiples
- 12:58for confirmation before I just go. I've learned
- 13:02the hard way because I tend to go ready, fire,
- 13:05aim, instead of ready, aim, fire. And so I've
- 13:08learned to, you talked about my pauses. Those
- 13:11pauses are there and they've been hard learned.
- 13:15So that's just one of the things that helps me
- 13:18establish, is it God, me or the devil? It'll
- 13:21bring clarity. Yes. So there are multiples that
- 13:25that is happening for sure. But also it hasn't
- 13:29all come at once. Right. It doesn't. And this,
- 13:33and I will say that when I heard all this, when
- 13:35this happened, I turned around, I called Willie,
- 13:39I said, Willie, you're not gonna believe this,
- 13:41and you know Willie, he's like, oh, oh, oh, oh.
- 13:44What a beautiful man. I said, Willie, I'll make
- 13:45it up to you. Don't worry, don't worry, okay.
- 13:47And I told Tina, and she just melted, because
- 13:51she's known John forever, too. Yeah, he's family.
- 13:54He is family. And then I said, you know, I'm
- 13:59just gonna go to the car wash. There's a good
- 14:03way to oscillate. And our car wash, I've learned
- 14:10now, we've got a nice car, so you've got to wipe
- 14:12it down and do all the little bumpers and everything.
- 14:16So I'm just taking my time. Mindless work. It's
- 14:1895 degrees, I'm sweating. And that's when the
- 14:23first thing started coming. And I wasn't even
- 14:26asking for something. It was just like, okay,
- 14:29here's one, here's one, here's one. Gosh, I was
- 14:36telling you just before we started recording,
- 14:39speaking of multiples, that Tina and I have been
- 14:42re -watching West Wing. I'm not even sure why,
- 14:44but it's actually quite an entertaining show
- 14:47when it was back in kind of wholesome television
- 14:49days and a dream that your president would be
- 14:54as cool as President Bartlett. And there's this
- 15:01scene where he has to make a decision about pardoning
- 15:04a guy on death row and, you know, to go through
- 15:08a longer story to make it short, the reference
- 15:12to him being indecisive came from his pastor
- 15:16and he told the story of... the guy who was drowning,
- 15:20and then a guy comes by in a boat and says, hey,
- 15:22you want to get in my boat? And the guy says,
- 15:23no, no, the Lord will save me, and a helicopter
- 15:25comes over, and here's the ladder. No, he will
- 15:30pick you up at the helicopter. The guy says,
- 15:32no, no, I'm waiting for the Lord to save me.
- 15:33And then a guy comes to the ladder. He says,
- 15:35climb up the ladder. No, no, no. And so he drowns,
- 15:37and he's at the pearly gates, and God says, what
- 15:40were you doing, man? I gave you a helicopter,
- 15:43a boat, and a ladder. And so that's three. And
- 15:46there's your multiples. That's very helpful,
- 15:50Jimmy. That's very helpful. And hopefully that'll
- 15:51help others, our listeners, because we're all
- 15:54trying to hear God, right? I mean, those of us
- 15:56who name the name of Christ, we want direction.
- 15:59We honestly don't want to make a mistake, so
- 16:02we're asking God, show me what to do. But then
- 16:07there's the waiting game, the in -between, the
- 16:10in -between what you need and when it's coming.
- 16:14Like you said, it doesn't always come all at
- 16:16once. But I always recognize it because it resonates.
- 16:21Wait, that's just a different way of saying the
- 16:23same thing. That's the second time I've heard
- 16:26that. So that's when it starts to really get
- 16:29my attention when I've heard it twice. And then
- 16:31basically, I'm just listening for the next...
- 16:33For the third time. Yeah. And when that happens,
- 16:36it's green light go. Yeah. Thank you. That's
- 16:38very helpful. I hope that helps. I want to say
- 16:41that no agenda is not just ending tomorrow and
- 16:45there's lots of stuff to work on, lots of things
- 16:47to think about, lots of praying to do. We get
- 16:50to do this is fresh and new and building. And
- 16:53so, regardless of anything, you and I are going
- 16:56to continue on this. Bro, we have a website now?
- 17:00Yeah. We're legit now. We got a newsletter out.
- 17:05Thank you, Tina, the keeper. We so appreciate
- 17:08that. What does she sign off as? Back office
- 17:13worker? Back office management. Management, right.
- 17:16In a little closet. Hey, Tina. Little closet
- 17:19for an office. So you can go to WGTDT .com. We
- 17:25get to do this .com was taken. I like WGTDT,
- 17:28once you get used to it. It doesn't exactly roll
- 17:31over your tongue. You just go WGTDT. There you
- 17:35go. Once you split it, WGTDT. OK, that helps.
- 17:40And it's a substack, which we had discussed.
- 17:42Yeah, I love substacks. Actually, we already
- 17:46got a comment. Yay. We got a comment from Jody
- 17:50White. Of course. I don't know, Jody. Yeah, you
- 17:52do. The Pickle Princess. Oh, the Pickle Princess.
- 17:54Okay. Yes, I do. She says, just sending more
- 17:56encouragement your guys way. I look forward to
- 17:58the pod podcast. I know it's your favorite word.
- 18:01Every week and can't wait to see what great things
- 18:03you are doing for the glory of the Lord. Thank
- 18:06you very much. Oh, so cool. Hey, we got another
- 18:08thing. Okay. Let me look it up though. I got
- 18:10to find it because it's from Brett Hahn, the
- 18:14Amrev. Oh, yeah. Yeah, yeah. American Revolution
- 18:17guy. He writes some fantastic stuff. He wrote
- 18:21this. Oh, why does it do that? Okay, here it
- 18:23is. Thanks for... That's not it. There it is.
- 18:26Hey, Pastor Jimmy, love the new, we get to do
- 18:28this newsletter. If you guys need help with anything
- 18:31else, website set up, just let me know. Happy
- 18:34to give back with my time, talent and treasure.
- 18:38My wife and I run a marketing consulting and
- 18:42custom AI development firm. So happy to help
- 18:45support you both in any way we can. Spread the
- 18:49news of the show. That's the number one thing
- 18:52you can do is tell people about the show. We're
- 18:55going to do show notes with every episode now,
- 18:57which will be a post. I really like this experiment
- 19:01of using Substack for everything because it's
- 19:07so different. Look, we can easily put together
- 19:11a website, but now everything just kind of happens
- 19:13in this Substack world. It's easy for people
- 19:16to comment. Easy to subscribe. Everything is
- 19:20easy about it. And I like the vibe of the community
- 19:24that hangs out there. Me too. And we can always
- 19:28change if we want to, but right now I think it's
- 19:31a great way to experiment with trying to figure
- 19:33out how to get... PayPal links in there because
- 19:36we do like TimeTown and Treasure. We got Stripe
- 19:40stuff and everything. But we'll get to all that
- 19:43right now. Just people signing up to the newsletter
- 19:46and then you'll also automatically be notified
- 19:48when the new show comes out. Every episode will
- 19:53post the links in there. Hopefully it'll go to
- 19:55the to the Godcaster app as well. This is where
- 19:59platforms get kind of interesting like, well,
- 20:01Yeah, you can post that you can't really do something
- 20:04from somewhere else, you know. We'll see how
- 20:07we work that out. We'll figure it out. Yeah,
- 20:10we will. But people should get the Godcast rap
- 20:12regardless. Absolutely. Because that is where
- 20:14you can get a lot of great podcasts and live
- 20:16streams and music streams. So I was in... It
- 20:21kind of came... Man, this was also perfect. Yesterday
- 20:24I had a long -standing appointment for my hair
- 20:27in Austin, which... I like for a number of reasons.
- 20:31One, I've known Johanna for, oh man, 15 years.
- 20:37She's been doing my hair. We became friends.
- 20:43Right, of course. Just kind of comparing notes
- 20:45about, and she's very kind of down the middle
- 20:48on political issues and she doesn't really go
- 20:53one way or the other, but she's a very loving
- 20:56kind of... holistic, crystal type girl. Austin.
- 21:03She's an Austinite. Yeah, pretty much. And I
- 21:06don't mean that in a disparaging way. No, no,
- 21:07no. It's spot on. There's a vibe. There's a culture.
- 21:10And she'd actually moved to Taylor, Texas with
- 21:13her partner. And they recently decided to, it's
- 21:18funny how she says it, to consciously uncouple.
- 21:21So he stays there and she now got her own place
- 21:24back. It's so Austin. But, you know, and I've
- 21:28been very old. Of course, she's witnessed my
- 21:30faith journey. And I've prayed for her dad when
- 21:33he was in hospital. And I've prayed over her.
- 21:36And, you know, she's never had any issue. You
- 21:40have to know that Taylor, Texas, that whole community
- 21:43got ripped apart right down the middle. because
- 21:46a whole lot of Austinites moved out there, particularly
- 21:49when Samsung was going to build this huge chip
- 21:53fab out there. And so you had a lot of Austinites
- 21:57moving in. You had the old school Taylor people.
- 22:01And to coin the phrase, it became the pride people
- 22:05against the churchies. I mean, literally, and
- 22:08it splits that community in half. It's just,
- 22:12you know, you either had an American flag in
- 22:14your coffee shop window or a pride flag, and
- 22:17people wouldn't go to one or the other. But that's
- 22:20how Johanna would characterize it. You know,
- 22:22the churchies versus the pride. Anyway, neither
- 22:25here nor there, I love her just for who she is.
- 22:28And she would always give me the canary in the
- 22:29coal mine, like, oh, man, you won't believe what
- 22:32the women are saying. Because, you know, she
- 22:33has the clients who are - She's got her thumb
- 22:35on the pulse of the culture there. Right on the
- 22:38pulse of everything. In fact, she had to Tell
- 22:41me quietly about things because you know, they
- 22:44kind of got a little worried. She might be turning
- 22:46MAGA I'm not kidding. I'm not kidding. So anyway,
- 22:51so that girl deprogrammed well, so I'm sitting
- 22:54there and And so she first she says are you reading
- 22:58the book that everyone's talking about? Yes,
- 23:02I got to be honest, you know, I haven't had a
- 23:05lot of time to read what what is this book that
- 23:08everybody's when I hear everybody's talking about
- 23:11everybody's reading okay, it's called Theo of
- 23:14Golden and Turns out that yes Tina's heard of
- 23:20it many of her friends are reading it and Johanna
- 23:23gives it to me and she says She shows me on their
- 23:27phone, it's about religion and faith and belief.
- 23:31I'm like, and everyone's reading this? Oh yeah.
- 23:34Oh, it's a huge shit. Everybody's talking about
- 23:36it. And okay, okay. Well, that's interesting.
- 23:40Coming from her and that everybody's reading
- 23:42it. And I later confirmed, Tina says, oh yeah,
- 23:47Theo of Golden. Yeah, I want to read it. Everyone
- 23:50saw all her church friends are reading it. I'm
- 23:55not sure what exactly, I have started reading
- 23:58it. So I'll get back to you on that. Thank you.
- 24:01But then, about maybe half an hour later, she
- 24:08says, Adam, I want to come out to Fredericksburg.
- 24:12She's come out several times with her friends,
- 24:14you know, because she loves wine and yeah, I'm
- 24:17going to come out to Fredericksburg and I would
- 24:18love to come to your church one Sunday morning.
- 24:21Wow, beautiful. I mean, this is literally my
- 24:25mouth went, what? She says, you know, cause I,
- 24:28you know, I talk about you and I talk about,
- 24:31she's sound like you have such a lovely community.
- 24:34And she said, you know, I would really come to
- 24:36church. I'd love to come to your church with
- 24:37you on a Sunday morning. And she says, I don't
- 24:40want to be the person that says no. Wow. Wow.
- 24:45And I have never. pushed or encouraged or I've
- 24:49just been myself and just told her you're just
- 24:51leaking you're leaking yes and it was I mean
- 24:54I could not wait to get home to tell Tina that
- 24:57I'm looking forward to meeting her oh no you
- 25:00will of course sure of course I want to meet
- 25:02her of course let me see Theo of Golden by Alan
- 25:07Levi We see a stranger named Theo arrives in
- 25:11the small southern city of Golden at the local
- 25:14coffee house pencil portraits of the townspeople
- 25:16hang on the walls Theo begins buying the one
- 25:18at a time giving each portrait back to the person
- 25:20that depicts Asking only for their story in return
- 25:24portrait by portrait secret secret surface regrets

- 25:30a novel about generosity being seen connection
- 25:33and small miracles of kindness number one New
- 25:36York Times for three weeks Well, it's interesting
- 25:39that Johanna said it's a religious book. That
- 25:42was her exact words. It's a religious book. So
- 25:44we'll have to see what that is. It's, I mean,
- 25:47I love the premise. Love that. That's creative
- 25:49premise. So anyway, so how about all these things
- 25:54that are happening in this? It's only Wednesday.
- 25:59We just were not, we were not even the hump day
- 26:01hardly. Got a note from Jim McCaslin. Adam, love
- 26:06the new or to me new podcast. It's really helped.
- 26:10This is, you know, I guess he's a no agenda guy
- 26:12listening to we get to do this. It's really helping
- 26:14me on my walk with Christ, which honestly has
- 26:17been stagnant for most of my life, but God uses
- 26:21a lot of people when they're older. Look at Moses
- 26:23and Abraham. What are you saying? He's talking
- 26:26about me. He's going to send us some challenge
- 26:29coins. So very cool. When I hear these things,
- 26:32man, I just melt. This is why we do this. Yes,
- 26:35this is why we get to do this. Absolutely. I
- 26:40love that. Appreciate that. What do you got,
- 26:43brother? There's a lot of things that you had
- 26:45to welcome back. From from you know, you you
- 26:49you did the message on Sunday. Yeah, I came back
- 26:52two weeks ago and both Sundays I didn't do the
- 26:54message right people like are you okay? What
- 26:57are you up there? What's going on? You ain't
- 26:59got a long time and it's because we had the 250
- 27:01So we had Rick Green right get up and do that
- 27:04cock couldn't have anybody else No, and and then
- 27:07last the last time we had Todd McDowell from
- 27:10Caleb global talking about Israel and just the
- 27:14Why I Bless Israel kind of thing was so, so rich.
- 27:17We're having him back in August, by the way,
- 27:19the 26th evening, two 45 -minute sessions, and
- 27:23it's on world revival. Nice. And so he's going
- 27:26to lay that out. Super excited about that. World
- 27:28revival. I like that. Yeah, yeah, the global
- 27:30revival. Brother, I'm telling you, I don't know
- 27:34what this Theo of Golden is, but I'm sure this
- 27:37is related to revival somehow. Could be. It has
- 27:40to be connected. tiny bit leery when I hear things
- 27:42like this. When somebody passed along the secret
- 27:46to me, I was like, calm. Well, yes. No, I understand.
- 27:49This is different. But the way I took it in the
- 27:51sequence of, she talks about this book and then
- 27:54she wants to come to church. Right, right. That
- 27:56was the sequence that I received that in. I'm
- 27:58looking forward to diving into a little bit on
- 28:00that. I'll have to look at it. Of course, of
- 28:04course. I'm a shepherd. Yes, you are. Yes, you
- 28:07are. Yes, you are. Yes, you are. Yes, you are.
- 28:08And protect the sheep if need be. Amen. So I
- 28:11stepped up into the pulpit back in the saddle,
- 28:13so to speak, for the first time in weeks. I don't
- 28:16even know how long it's been. And, oh, it felt
- 28:18good. It's like putting on an old catcher's mitt
- 28:21that you've played with for years, you know,
- 28:23and somebody gives you a new one and it's like,
- 28:25ah, I got to break this in. But man, when you
- 28:27step into it, all the leather's right, it fits
- 28:30right. So it just felt like being home. And I've
- 28:34just been Since our break, our vacation, I've
- 28:38just been so gushing with love, gratitude, and
- 28:43appreciation for our church family. I know I'm
- 28:48the pastor, so of course I'm going to brag, but
- 28:51truly it's exceptional. Everyone who visits our
- 28:54church, for example, Todd McDowell and Papa Don
- 28:57Finto from Nashville, Todd several times to me
- 29:01off little one -off conversations. He said, Jimmy,
- 29:03this is... We've got we go to hundreds of churches.
- 29:07This is different This is the community you have
- 29:11here the graciousness and the people here He
- 29:15said the openness. He said this is not normal
- 29:18and I looked at him I said, thank you and I'm
- 29:21aware of that and I'm very grateful. Can you
- 29:24define that? Because, you know, obviously you've
- 29:29pastored at churches, you've planted a few churches,
- 29:32you've been around, as we say. What can you pinpoint
- 29:36it to? Well, when Annette and I came here, one
- 29:40of the things, we came off of what I would call
- 29:43our wilderness wandering first season, about
- 29:46three or four years. And we learned a lot from
- 29:50that. We also, the Lord in a good way, stripped
- 29:53a lot of things from us, a lot of things that
- 29:55our agenda, our way of doing, what we want to,
- 30:00our vision of success, those kinds of things,
- 30:05and stripped all those things away. And we came
- 30:08back into the church ministry after working in
- 30:11the world for a season in the business sector
- 30:14with just a new appreciation for what we get
- 30:16to do, but also an understanding that people
- 30:19are tired, people are working hard, a new love
- 30:22for people, and a lot of compassion. for where
- 30:26people are in this world and the brokenness in
- 30:29this world. We step back into the pulpit with
- 30:31strong vision, but a vision that we only want
- 30:35to align with God's heart. If it's not in alignment
- 30:39with his heart, it's gone. We've been here 10
- 30:42years sowing into that mentality, also with the
- 30:46idea of we have the pleasure and the privilege
- 30:50of living in a small town in America. And there's
- 30:54something about small town community that is
- 30:58unique and beautiful in Americana. And we're
- 31:02like that in Fredericksburg. I go to the grocery
- 31:06store, H -E -B, it's over. I cannot just go get
- 31:10a gallon of milk and walk out. Not without stopping
- 31:14and talking. And it's not because people are
- 31:16stopping me necessarily. I may be stopping them
- 31:18and going, man, it's so good to see you. How
- 31:20are you doing? How are your calves doing? I had
- 31:24a guy talking to me about his beef yesterday.
- 31:26And I'm just like, yeah, we had a great conversation
- 31:28about beef. But it's living in a small town.
- 31:33And I've lived in Los Angeles. I was nearly born
- 31:36in Los Angeles. I've lived in Kansas City. I've
- 31:39lived in Dallas, Fort Worth, Nashville. I've
- 31:42lived in some big cities, but there's something
- 31:45about a small town culture. But Fredericksburg's
- 31:49unique too, because it's not just small town
- 31:51culture. People move here because they want to
- 31:55be here. And there's a different spirit behind
- 31:58that. Or they're led to be here. They're led
- 31:59to be here. and there's a different spirit behind
- 32:02that as well, and it's a spirit of gratitude.
- 32:05So when you get a bunch of people together who
- 32:08are happy to be where they are and thankful that
- 32:10they get to live here, we get to do this. I didn't
- 32:14just make that up on the fly. It's an atmosphere
- 32:17that we live in here in Fredericksburg. It is.
- 32:19It is a bit like living on a cruise ship, honestly.
- 32:24Without the norovirus. Yeah, exactly. All the
- 32:28good parts of it. The food, the drink, the culture,
- 32:32the fun. It's really a fun town, but it breeds
- 32:36this community that I'm just so thankful for.
- 32:40And not all the time. Can you believe we get
- 32:42to live here? and that we've had the privilege
- 32:45of doing the thing we love the most, and that's
- 32:48teaching, preaching about Jesus, making disciples,
- 32:51growing in our faith with others in a community.
- 32:54And we get to do it in Fredericksburg, Texas.
- 32:56So it is special, this town. And so that is conveyed
- 33:02through the culture of our church as well. That's
- 33:05why almost everyone who visits here ends up either
- 33:08moving here or they really want to move here.
- 33:11And it's not just because of the church, it's
- 33:13the community itself. So we were representative
- 33:16of that. We're a fun bunch. We are, man. Our
- 33:21old people are fun. Yes, our old people are great.
- 33:24They're a little scary. It's the Woodstock generation.
- 33:27They're still wild at heart. It's still there.
- 33:30I love how everyone's always coming together
- 33:32and like, hey, so -and -so's got a baby. Let's
- 33:35do a food train. So -and -so's wife is having
- 33:39a procedure. We're all helping each other. The
- 33:42floods once again. We've got our church jumps
- 33:46in. A lot of churches, of course, jump in. We
- 33:49also have like 25 churches around here, which
- 33:52is also... And they're active. They are active.
- 33:54They're engaged. But as I was telling Johanna,
- 33:57I said, you know, you love our church because...
- 34:00It's not just a church. It's like a clubhouse,
- 34:04man. There's stuff going on there. There's stuff
- 34:06happening all the time. How many people in our
- 34:10youth group now? Do we have 70, 80, 90s getting
- 34:12up there? We have a big youth group. We took,
- 34:13I think, 80 to camp. But also, we're doing a
- 34:17cool thing. We're doing a backpack drive. For
- 34:18the kids and teachers? So they start off saying,
- 34:21we want to get 150 backpacks. And then they said,
- 34:24we want to get 175. It kept going up. Oh no,
- 34:27it keeps, because we don't want to disappoint
- 34:28anybody. We got 200 back to back. Backpacks.
- 34:31And they're full of school supplies. So we get
- 34:33to bless 200 families, 200 kids with backpacks,
- 34:37full, you know, everything for free. Then we're
- 34:40doing, we're raising money for, for 18 teachers
- 34:43who we're going to pay their help, give them
- 34:46their supplies that they otherwise pay for themselves.
- 34:49You know, gift cards for restaurants, for stores.
- 34:52and we get to bless that. I think this is the
- 34:55thing that, well, it's not the thing I like most,
- 34:59but something I really enjoy about our church
- 35:01is how when the the congregation ties and blesses
- 35:07the church. And the church does things with that
- 35:11in the community. Like, didn't we pay off all
- 35:15the school lunches and the deficit, which was,
- 35:18I don't know, $11 ,000 for kids who just weren't
- 35:23able to pay for it. struck that record. I mean,
- 35:26this is amazing to me. This is what family does,
- 35:30right? We take care of our own. I love that spirit
- 35:33in a small town. We take care of our own. Instead
- 35:36of leave them be, it's we take care of our own.
- 35:38And I love that. So that makes it special. So
- 35:41we've got the best of both worlds. We've got
- 35:45a big church, large church, anywhere from sick
- 35:49with nearly 700 last Sunday, that's in the middle
- 35:51of the summer. So think about the fall. And we're
- 35:54building an overflow space right now that's about
- 35:56to be done. We're right in the middle of that.
- 36:01So we get the accoutrements of a large church.
- 36:04We got a sound system, ACDC could do a concert
- 36:07here. I mean, we've got the full meal deal. We
- 36:11got all the accoutrements of a large church and
- 36:13yet we still have that. small town heart and
- 36:17soul. Yeah. Yes. And I just love it. I mean,
- 36:20we still wave at people when we drop down the
- 36:22street, man. This doesn't mean that people can't
- 36:25have this sense of community in a city. Oh, no,
- 36:28I agree with that. Because you can. You do that
- 36:30around a church community. That's community.
- 36:33Yeah. All these people, you know, and people
- 36:36say to me all the time, like, you know, you know
- 36:38what you're talking about is very lonely out
- 36:39here. I said, you know, could I just recommend
- 36:42go to a church? That's it. You may not be ready
- 36:46to cross the line yet. Go meet some people at
- 36:48the church. In Nashville, when we were working,
- 36:51I was working for Dave Ramsey and it was working
- 36:53for a dental practice. Our community became our
- 36:58church, Grace Chapel, which is phenomenal. Sounds
- 37:00like a little tiny country church with 15 ,000
- 37:02people. But you find your community in that larger
- 37:08community. And you tend to sit in the same spot.
- 37:11You tend to go to the same classes. And then
- 37:13somebody says, hey, let's start a small group.
- 37:15So you start a small group, which we did, called
- 37:17Deep End. And they asked me to lead it. But we
- 37:19did it at a mansion of a Nashville producer.
- 37:23We did it at their house in Brentwood. we created
- 37:29community within the larger settings. So that
- 37:31can be done anywhere. But I must say, I'm a little
- 37:35partial to small town America. Oh, yeah. I mean,
- 37:38I've lived in cities most of my life. When I
- 37:42was younger, we did live outside of Amsterdam,
- 37:45which was kind of cool in a very small village.
- 37:47So I had kind of a dual situation going on there.
- 37:51But when we were in Austin and we just said,
- 37:53nah, now it's time to get out. And then Tina
- 37:56just said, How about Fredericksburg? Spin the
- 37:58globe. Literally. I'm like, okay. I've been there,
- 38:03but it really didn't matter because I have no
- 38:05business in Austin. I don't have to be there.
- 38:08We live wherever we want. I've been there. It's
- 38:11kind of a cool town. And then we open up Zillow
- 38:14and boom. Oh, well, that's exactly the house
- 38:17we like. They bought it the next day under contingency
- 38:21of selling our home in Austin, which we sold
- 38:23in 24 hours. Now, there's all kinds of moves
- 38:28there. There's nothing like driving up in the
- 38:30parking lot and seeing 120 F -154 pickups. But
- 38:34it's Wednesday morning, and there's 25 cars in
- 38:38the lot today. There's always something going
- 38:39on. And there's Tommy waving at me, hey, Adam,
- 38:41how you doing? And he's got to come talk to you.
- 38:43Of course. He's got to come tell him what's going
- 38:45on. I'm glad I came early. Don't you love that?
- 38:48Every day, I walk into this building, and you've
- 38:51got to stop and talk to the staff. Hey, how was
- 38:53your day? How was last night? We had some stuff
- 38:55going on. We had 46 people come to Blair and
- 38:58Evans class on Experiencing God. Oh, yes. 46
- 39:01people last night. Wow. Wow. Isn't that cool?
- 39:03On a Tuesday night. Man, I wish you could have
- 39:05met my grandfather. I mean, too. Eugene, Gene
- 39:09Curry, who, you know, he and… I will someday.
- 39:14Well, yes, and you will love him. So they, for
- 39:17all intents and purposes, lived in small town.
- 39:20Well, Armok, New York, which is, you know, borders
- 39:22on Connecticut. And he was originally a real
- 39:27estate guy, but then he went to war and he became
- 39:31the guy that sat up all night on his Corona typewriter,
- 39:36writing letters to the president, to congressmen.
- 39:40voicing his opinion. He would write op -eds.
- 39:43Many got published in the New York Times. Not
- 39:45all. Beautiful. He was engaging his leadership
- 39:49before it was cool. Completely. I love that.
- 39:53But also on Saturdays, he would go to the...
- 39:57I forget the name of it. a home for elderly ladies,
- 40:05and he'd bring flowers for every single one of
- 40:07them. And he'd say, oh, I'm just off to visit
- 40:09the ladies. I think he also liked visiting the
- 40:11ladies, honestly. He liked chatting with them.
- 40:15And when the family came over, oh, let's go to
- 40:17Hanker's, go get some corn. And Hanker's corn,
- 40:20they'd be ready. And then it was all St. Stephen's
- 40:23Church. I was baptized there as a young child.
- 40:30I think we have a family plot. Yeah. Although
- 40:33I don't know. Look at the seeds that were sown.
- 40:35So I'm feeling all these things that I saw but
- 40:40didn't get from my parents, got from my grandparents.
- 40:43And so now I'm feeling like, oh man, not only
- 40:47do I need to give my granddaughter all the little
- 40:49cookies she's not supposed to have, but I got
- 40:51a lot of other things I got to instill into her.
- 40:54So I'm looking forward to that very much so.
- 40:57Beautiful brother. Just to talk about the And
- 41:01thank you for reading the briefing on Sunday.
- 41:05Oh, so good. Because this, and I just want to
- 41:08tell everybody who's listening to our podcast
- 41:11about what President Trump was really saying
- 41:14in his address to the nation. I know it seems
- 41:16like 5 ,000 times the straight -up Hormuz open
- 41:21and shut since that speech. But the whole point
- 41:24was we need to fix the plumbing of our voting
- 41:28system. And it's not necessarily about, you know,
- 41:32voting machines and all. It's really about, we
- 41:35need to identify who we are when we vote, when
- 41:39we register to vote, there just needs to be a
- 41:41check. You got to use your ID for everything
- 41:43else. The continuous noise of, well, it's racist
- 41:47and it makes voting difficult is of course nonsense
- 41:51and everybody knows this, but it's not just Democrats
- 41:54that don't want this. This mail -in by ballot.
- 41:59I used to vote. by absentee ballot is what it
- 42:02was called. I was overseas and my mom would make
- 42:05a big deal of it. We're going to go talk to the
- 42:07embassy. We want our ballots and you get your
- 42:09ballot and then you send it back because we want
- 42:11our vote to be counted. And it's important. And
- 42:14so we would always do that. You know, this has
- 42:16become basically a scam over the years where
- 42:19in some states, every resident gets a ballot
- 42:21whether you want it or not. And, you know, there's
- 42:24no real check and balance of who signed it, who
- 42:27sent it. Who's alive, who's dead. who's eligible.
- 42:31It is not just Democrats who have used this.
- 42:34I totally agree. So it's not a partisan thing,
- 42:37but it is bipartisan on them not wanting to sign
- 42:41it. And that's my point. It's not just Democrats
- 42:44saying no, it's Republicans and Democrats alike
- 42:47slow walking it in the Senate. So I called my
- 42:52Senator. I called my representative, federal
- 42:56and regional, local, and left messages. I talked
- 43:00to one of the aides and just said, hey, I'm a
- 43:02pastor of a church of a thousand plus people,
- 43:04and I want you to know we appreciate this bill,
- 43:07the Save America Act. And he was blown away.
- 43:11He said, man, we'd love to get these calls. He
- 43:14was like, thank you for taking the time to call
- 43:17and support because most of the calls they get
- 43:19are negative. But it also matters because then
- 43:23they get encouraged. They know it's important
- 43:26to their constituents. It's springing their step
- 43:27when they step back into the halls. And it has
- 43:30to be a call. Emails doesn't work. It doesn't
- 43:33work. It goes into a big bin. It doesn't get
- 43:35seen. Calling works every single time. And it's
- 43:38easy. Nine times out of 10, you're going to get
- 43:40a voicemail. And then you get two. And it takes
- 43:42you over to their... Voicemail. Hopefully their
- 43:46aide listens to it and passes the good word along.
- 43:49Well, they have to because eventually the voicemail
- 43:51box gets full. So I think they do listen to it.
- 43:53I do too. It's part of their job. Again, our
- 43:57voice is heard with both our vote and our call,
- 44:00our voice. So we need to do that. Be diligent.
- 44:03And it's an important one. And that's what President
- 44:05Trump was saying. He's like, I'm not doing anything.
- 44:07You got to pass this act. It's important. We
- 44:10got to do it. coming up with reasons not to,
- 44:14is, in my book, un -American. They're hiding
- 44:17something. They're in somebody's pocket. It's
- 44:21not good what you're doing. Now, simultaneously,
- 44:24this was what was interesting. The State Department
- 44:28did an entire symposium, like a whole day, on
- 44:34international terrorism. uh, our treasury secretary,
- 44:38I love general patent is what I call him. Um,
- 44:41he, uh, Scott Besson, you know, it seems like
- 44:45such an obvious thing that our treasury who runs
- 44:48the real financial networks knows how money moves
- 44:51from point A to point B that they would be looking
- 44:53at stuff. You know, it seems like no one ever
- 44:56did or they didn't want to or told not want and
- 44:59he's like shut off so many different avenues
- 45:02of illicit money flows. It's crazy. He's making
- 45:06Doge look like a kindergartener. And now they're
- 45:10going through the Smithsonian Institute. The
- 45:15Smithsonian Institute is not necessarily keeping
- 45:17to their mission anymore. And there's also money
- 45:20that flows through that. Exactly. That's what
- 45:21I'm thinking. But our Secretary of State Rubio,
- 45:25man, he had just a firebrand speech and I had
- 45:28already clipped this and you sent this morning,
- 45:30you said, hey, look at this speech. Brother Jimmy,
- 45:34I literally have this stack up for the show today
- 45:37and I'll play this and didn't just want to talk
- 45:40about it briefly That was the wrong one shows
- 45:46over I Love that we don't edit this stuff. Here
- 45:53we go. This is what radical leftism is It may
- 45:57wear various different slogans and ideologies
- 45:59across place and time They can call themselves
- 46:01anti -capitalists, or anti -imperialists, or
- 46:05communists, or anarchists, or Marxists, but the
- 46:08fundamental character is always the same. It's
- 46:10always the same. It is a poisonous resentment
- 46:13cloaked in the language of equality and justice
- 46:17and liberation, an overwhelming need to tear
- 46:20down what greater men have built, to wreck what
- 46:23is beautiful and what is right on behalf of people
- 46:26who are only filled with ugliness. and have nothing
- 46:29else to offer the world. Through violence and
- 46:32through terror, they once again seek to impose
- 46:35their ugliness on all of us. The old dogma was
- 46:39wrong. The old dogma was wrong. None of this
- 46:42is driven by idealism. It is not utopian. In
- 46:46fact, it is the opposite. One of the criticisms
- 46:51you sometimes hear of communism, for example,
- 46:54is that it sounds good in theory, but it never
- 46:56works in practice. That's actually not true.
- 47:02Communism does not sound good in theory. The
- 47:04world that envisions for all of us is small,
- 47:08flat, gray, leveled of all exception, drained
- 47:12of all that is good and noble in the human soul.
- 47:15The world that envisions is a world without courage,
- 47:17a world without creativity or ambition, a world
- 47:21without heroes or glory or great causes to strive
- 47:24towards, a world without miracles. without myths,
- 47:29without men who rise above the rest to do incredible
- 47:32and extraordinary things. And the world communism
- 47:35envisions is a world without God. For these architects
- 47:39of revolutionary violence, the towering achievement
- 47:41of our civilization, for them it's an unbearable
- 47:45humiliation, a reminder of what they cannot do
- 47:49and a reminder of what they cannot be. And this
- 47:52is, I mean, this is a powerful statement. And
- 47:57I'm so happy it's coming from our existing administration.
- 48:02Because what he's saying is, and it's going to
- 48:05be very interesting in the midterm election and
- 48:08into the next general election. Of course, you
- 48:10and I will be all over it. When you see these,
- 48:15the DSA candidates, Democrats, Socialists of
- 48:18America, they literally are saying we need to
- 48:20break apart the system from within, revolution
- 48:23from within. That's rarely the way it actually
- 48:29goes, funny enough, with socialism. But Secretary
- 48:36Rubio is so spot on. And yes, the ultimate truth
- 48:40about socialism and communism is no God. That's
- 48:46the basic bottom line. I've probably participated
- 48:51in ignoring God, ignoring the roots of even of
- 49:00European countries. I mean, the churches, if
- 49:04they're not being burned down, they've been turned
- 49:06into Airbnbs and WeWorks to the point where,
- 49:09you know, we went to a church in a school auditorium.
- 49:15But you see how... It's almost felt like we're
- 49:19hiding out here. Okay, it's just us Christians
- 49:23here in this school auditorium. I'm glad they
- 49:26need a school auditorium instead of a home. They're
- 49:30growing. That's what's exciting. Absolutely.
- 49:34He said without God, without miracles. Without
- 49:37miracles. Without heroes. Without creativity.
- 49:40And great men doing things above and beyond.
- 49:43So much in a very short amount of time. Pack
- 49:45that in. Let me read to you what Jillian Michaels
- 49:48said. Okay, right. Yes, because she played this
- 49:51clip. She did. And I was like, what? But I like
- 49:53what she said. She said, Marco Rubio just exposed
- 49:55what the political elite never wanted you to
- 49:58hear in a moment that is sending shockwaves across
- 50:01the internet. He completely dismantled dismantled
- 50:04radical leftism live on air, tearing down decades
- 50:08of political propaganda in under 60 seconds.
- 50:11Everyone thought he was going to give a typical
- 50:13politician response, but what he revealed at
- 50:16the very end changed the entire conversation
- 50:18forever. Yeah. Brilliant. Yay, Gillian. Well,
- 50:23there's more people who are starting to see this.
- 50:25And as much as, you know, I'm like, hey, you
- 50:28know, let's all calm down about A million mosques
- 50:31built in the last 24 months in Texas, et cetera,
- 50:34et cetera. What we are seeing is Islamists teaming
- 50:38up with the socialists. This is where the danger
- 50:43comes from. And it's not just danger for our
- 50:48country and our republic. It's actually dangerous
- 50:51for the socialists because they're the ones that
- 50:55get killed first. And the weak brothers and sisters,
- 51:00oh, bring in your LGBTQ. You are the first ones
- 51:04who are gonna get killed. That's exactly right.
- 51:06It's historical. So, you know, I pray that people
- 51:10will snap out of it. Snap out of it. Couple things
- 51:15before we go. We got prayer requests from Ian
- 51:20Cummings. His dad has not been doing well, suffering
- 51:25cytokine release syndrome, CRS. It's from chemo.
- 51:31And so just want everybody to pray for his dad.
- 51:35Heard from my friend Pete, Pete in quotes, who
- 51:42was very brave and prayed through what actions
- 51:48he had to take for his addiction, his alcohol
- 51:50addiction. You know came clean with his wife.
- 51:53He said hey man. I just want to let you know
- 51:56I was in the ICU for three days. I'm out now
- 51:59and now the hard work begins Yeah, and so, you
- 52:02know, I'm praying for him and I hope everybody
- 52:04else will as well It's just I'm so proud of that
- 52:07guy for Wow for doing that and then without even
- 52:11asking we got two donations already with our
- 52:15quest for a value for value, which, of course,
- 52:18this is a value for value podcast, which means
- 52:20the best thing you can do is tell people about
- 52:22the podcast. That's very valuable to us right
- 52:26now. But as we grow and as we move and spend
- 52:29more time on this, all parts of value for value
- 52:32become important. And why does it not surprise
- 52:35me that right away we get Steve and Stephanie
- 52:40in Las Vegas supporting us with $33 .33. I really
- 52:46appreciate that. Yeah, Steve and Stephanie. And
- 52:49$75 from The Pickle Princess. Oh my goodness.
- 52:53Aka. She's awesome. Jody White says, I love you
- 52:56guys. Keep up the good work. Thank you so much.
- 52:59That is so appreciated. WGTDT .com is our...
- 53:04website and that's where you're going to find
- 53:07real show notes this time. I'm going to put something
- 53:09in the show notes so people can go, oh, they're
- 53:12talking about something here. We're legit. We're
- 53:15getting legit. We're getting legit. Yes, man.
- 53:19Working on it. Working hard on it. It's fun,
- 53:21brother. I love doing this. This is so different.
- 53:24How long has it been since you've built one from
- 53:26the ground up like this? Has it been a while?
- 53:28Because I mean you do several podcasts 2 .0 you
- 53:32know facts It's everything's different. Okay
- 53:362 .0. I mean all of all podcasts are communities.
- 53:40Mm -hmm. That's the bottom line Yeah, the the
- 53:42biggest community is the no agenda community
- 53:44and that's just been built up over right over
- 53:47almost 19 years Mo facts was a part of the no
- 53:52agenda community podcasting 2 .0 is a very small
- 53:57It's only a couple thousand. Well, it's because
- 53:59you all speak another language. Totally. I tried
- 54:01listening. No, no, no. And we also call it the
- 54:04board meeting because we're, you know, we're
- 54:07technology. We are a bunch of, we're misfits.
- 54:11We're a misfit. It's like someone said, Hey,
- 54:13let's put this band together. And some dude comes
- 54:16up with the banjo. We got a guy playing spoons,
- 54:19someone on the, you know, on the theremin and,
- 54:22you know, but all of this together is working
- 54:24to. make podcasting better, and podcasting is
- 54:28owned by no one. So we're just trying to help
- 54:31keep it open free. And that's for selfish reasons
- 54:35too. I want to make sure that I can continue
- 54:38to create podcasts. Now, Korean The Keeper really
- 54:43started because we didn't know anybody out here
- 54:46and we were just going to... check out some wineries
- 54:50and talk about wine, and we thought maybe some
- 54:52people send us some wine and we can, you know,
- 54:54we'll drink the wine. We did that for seven episodes.
- 54:56Seven episodes. And then, you know, then it turned
- 54:58out that this was really about us and our faith
- 55:01journey. And, you know, so all of this, I think,
- 55:04led to what this is. And now there's a new community
- 55:07that we're going to build together. I'm very
- 55:09excited about it because when I see these notes
- 55:12saying, hey, I'm coming back to my faith, or
- 55:16it's been a long time. This is the success. This
- 55:20is the reason why we've been asked to do this,
- 55:23I feel. Well, it's not about clicks, likes, and
- 55:26sponsors. It's about people. And a true community
- 55:30is about people. And the success is the community,
- 55:34the people. Always. The interactions. I love
- 55:36interaction with some of the guys on X and Substack.
- 55:40And I'm excited about that growing. I've been
- 55:43to a few of the no agenda meetups and I just
- 55:46always leave going, this is so cool to have this
- 55:49community and people not content to just stay
- 55:52on their computers or their pods, but come together
- 55:55and hang out and get to know each other. Man,
- 55:58I've enjoyed that so much. Every time you ask
- 56:01me, I go, okay, I'm there. Well, it's on a Saturday.
- 56:03I'm there because I get to meet people that I'm
- 56:07going to somehow build some level of a relationship
- 56:10with. Isn't that real riches in life? To me,
- 56:15real riches isn't getting a sponsor by row or
- 56:18some of these different big sponsors. It's about
- 56:21people and it's about holding each other's arms
- 56:26up through the tough days and celebrating the
- 56:28wins together. We'll take that as the plane sticking
- 56:32the landing, man. I love that. Perfect. We get
- 56:34to do this and we will get to do it next week.
- 56:38WGTDT .com. We've been blessed
