- 0:16Speaker 2: solid practice. We had Will Anderson, Nico Collins and Tank
- 0:19Speaker 2: Dell on Nico Collins Tank Dell brought those two together
- 0:23Speaker 2: on the same episode. A great time. They set us
- 0:25Speaker 2: up right behind the fans. There was loud, obnoxious Mitch

- 0:56Speaker 2: gonna need you to put that Mike is close to
- 0:57Speaker 2: your mouth apostle when you're talking about it. But we
- 0:59Speaker 2: have Will Anderson and on the podcast pause real quick
- 1:02Speaker 2: around appreciate it.
- 1:03Speaker 1: Thank you for having starting starting as a freshman at Alabama,
- 1:07Speaker 1: National champion.
- 1:08Speaker 2: During the saban Era.
- 1:10Speaker 1: Drafted third overall in last year's draft, Defensive Rookie of
- 1:15Speaker 1: the Year for defensive players, the hammer, the terminator in college?
- 1:21Speaker 3: What do we call you?
- 1:22Speaker 1: What's your nickname? Now in the NFL they calling me
- 1:25Speaker 1: the same thing?
- 1:25Speaker 3: Man?
- 1:26Speaker 1: What is that?
- 1:29Speaker 2: Oh? No, I don't know if you know anything about us.
- 1:32Speaker 2: We both played for the Titans at one point in
- 1:33Speaker 2: our lives.
- 1:34Speaker 4: I think I seen you going back and forward with
- 1:35Speaker 4: somebody was on my team.
- 1:37Speaker 2: Maybe probably there was. Honestly, Bill O'Brien and I had
- 1:40Speaker 2: a couple of runnings with each other. He's an old
- 1:42Speaker 2: coach here. But there's always the talk of the Houston
- 1:45Speaker 2: Oiler uniforms. I want to talk about your stance on
- 1:48Speaker 2: who should be able to wear the Oilers uniforms.
- 1:51Speaker 4: I think we should. I mean they started here in Houston.
- 1:54Speaker 4: I mean we we should be wearing them.
- 1:57Speaker 5: Man, we we we we the what do you think
- 1:59Speaker 5: of this?
- 2:00Speaker 1: What do you think about this? Because you guys played
- 2:02Speaker 1: twice a year. Game one, the stakes are whoever wins
- 2:06Speaker 1: earns the right to wear the retros in game two.
- 2:09Speaker 5: I like that.
- 2:10Speaker 1: Would you be against that?
- 2:11Speaker 5: I wouldn't beast that at all.
- 2:12Speaker 2: I would I would change one thing to that. And
- 2:14Speaker 2: it's just like a trophy game in college. So the
- 2:16Speaker 2: previous season, whoever won the last meeting, the first meeting
- 2:20Speaker 2: to whoever won keeps the uniforms on. So it's just
- 2:22Speaker 2: always every single game.
- 2:24Speaker 1: So if you're if you're wearing the UNI, you can't
- 2:26Speaker 1: wear it until you beat them.
- 2:27Speaker 4: Basically, once you beat them, then you get Yes, you
- 2:30Speaker 4: like that, let's propose that.
- 2:31Speaker 1: To the NFL right now. Yeah, I know you got
- 2:37Speaker 1: to say it up for Houston. But growing up, I
- 2:41Speaker 1: heard you're a mad man. Your old man was hard
- 2:43Speaker 1: on you in football. I heard you got pranked a
- 2:45Speaker 1: lot by your family, like throw us back to the
- 2:47Speaker 1: young and days and give us a story or two.
- 2:49Speaker 1: I also heard your old man would pull you out
- 2:51Speaker 1: of the game.
- 2:52Speaker 4: But from the stands, I didn't have the typical game
- 2:55Speaker 4: to where like there's some something was going on. You'd
- 2:58Speaker 4: like keep my son in the game. It is like,
- 3:00Speaker 4: why my son not playing? He'll be right here in
- 3:02Speaker 4: the States said, get his ass out of their coach,
- 3:05Speaker 4: he don't want to play right now? Sit is that
- 3:07Speaker 4: come up? You could come up here next week. We
- 3:08Speaker 4: could go home.
- 3:09Speaker 5: That type of dad I have, Man, my dad was
- 3:10Speaker 5: tough on me.
- 3:11Speaker 4: He didn't play like all the winding and pouting and
- 3:13Speaker 4: all that man he was.
- 3:15Speaker 1: He was only hard on the Friday night lights.
- 3:17Speaker 5: Dad.
- 3:17Speaker 1: Of course a hole on the ball. Yeah.
- 3:20Speaker 5: I stopped paying my dad once I got to college.
- 3:22Speaker 4: But going all the way up into high school, I
- 3:23Speaker 4: heard him every game, and once I got to college,
- 3:25Speaker 4: I was like, yes, I can't hear his Boy, did
- 3:26Speaker 4: you ever.
- 3:27Speaker 1: Get pulled out of a game in high school because
- 3:29Speaker 1: you said.
- 3:29Speaker 5: Oh no, no, no A. By the time I tuned
- 3:31Speaker 5: him out and I was doing my thing back then.
- 3:35Speaker 2: You know he's balling out too. The coach is like,
- 3:36Speaker 2: I don't know what his dad's talking about. Will out
- 3:39Speaker 2: of the Yeah, Alabama, what made you want to go
- 3:42Speaker 2: to Alabama?
- 3:43Speaker 4: Honestly, I always tell people it was a gamble. I
- 3:46Speaker 4: was like, I just want to see why they're so great,
- 3:48Speaker 4: Like I want to see what they do and earlier
- 3:50Speaker 4: to road. And I remember my first fourth quarter when
- 3:52Speaker 4: we broke it up. I literally took a knee in
- 3:54Speaker 4: the hut and I was like, damn, this is why
- 3:56Speaker 4: they're so great.
- 3:57Speaker 1: And I was really thinking over my whole life decision.
- 3:59Speaker 4: But I really just wanted to go to to compete
- 4:01Speaker 4: for real, for real, like just to go against the
- 4:03Speaker 4: best and like really like make a name for myself.
- 4:05Speaker 1: Any fights, any fight stories back in the college days,
- 4:08Speaker 1: because you guys have a lot of dogs on your guys' team,
- 4:10Speaker 1: I would assume it gets pretty heated in those in
- 4:12Speaker 1: those saving practices, a.
- 4:14Speaker 5: Lot of fights.
- 4:15Speaker 4: Man. My last year there, I remember it was like
- 4:17Speaker 4: a whole like Scout team. It was so crazy because
- 4:20Speaker 4: the Scout team offense and defense, we used to fight
- 4:23Speaker 4: all the time. And we was like, man, I know
- 4:25Speaker 4: today they're not gonna try us. And it was just
- 4:27Speaker 4: one day it was super hot outside and when the
- 4:29Speaker 4: Oldlaman had pushed one of the dv's in the back
- 4:31Speaker 4: and it was just an all out brow for like
- 4:33Speaker 4: two periods straight and Coach Fable was cussing everybody off
- 4:37Speaker 4: and saying.
- 4:37Speaker 1: Get your ass's back to the salt line, and.
- 4:39Speaker 4: I think he pushed somebody too, So I don't know,
- 4:41Speaker 4: but that's just between us. Yeah, I got.
- 4:46Speaker 3: You guys.
- 4:46Speaker 2: It seems like every day I practice, you guys had
- 4:48Speaker 2: something going on out here.
- 4:49Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 4:49Speaker 2: How why are temper so high?
- 4:52Speaker 4: And he's man, I think it's just the competition, the
- 4:54Speaker 4: competitive nature now like everybody's competing at a high level.
- 4:58Speaker 5: The energy to high is positive. I think it's just
- 5:00Speaker 5: brotherly love. Man. I think that's what makes really great
- 5:02Speaker 5: teams great.
- 5:03Speaker 1: When you and CJ get drafted last year, you know,
- 5:07Speaker 1: recently before that, Houston was like a dumpster fire. I mean,
- 5:12Speaker 1: honestly though it was. Yeah, but a lot of expectation
- 5:17Speaker 1: on you guys coming in. You got coach Ryans too.
- 5:19Speaker 1: What do you feel like was the biggest shift last
- 5:21Speaker 1: year with you guys coming in that first year?
- 5:23Speaker 5: I think it was just the culture shift.
- 5:25Speaker 4: Getting the guys, you know, they they were they played
- 5:27Speaker 4: in a lot of close games. But I think getting
- 5:28Speaker 4: the right type of people in here, the right type
- 5:30Speaker 4: of culture, hardworking, all that type of stuff in here
- 5:33Speaker 4: was like the best thing that could have happened to
- 5:34Speaker 4: this place.
- 5:35Speaker 5: Just the shift wise of mindset and mentality.
- 5:38Speaker 1: Is there a play or a moment that you identify
- 5:40Speaker 1: where you feel like you earn your respect to the fellas.
- 5:45Speaker 4: I would say every snap, man, It's not just one
- 5:47Speaker 4: particular player. I feel like every snap I'm continuing to
- 5:49Speaker 4: giving it off of my teammates, trying to be a
- 5:51Speaker 4: good leader, man, just trying to fly around. It's warm
- 5:53Speaker 4: every play man, and just beat there for my team
- 5:55Speaker 4: and show up.
- 5:56Speaker 2: When do you talk about leadership? You obviously being at
- 5:58Speaker 2: Alabama your top on top of the food chain. You're
- 6:00Speaker 2: taking third overall, so you were in a big leadership
- 6:02Speaker 2: role there going into your rookie year. How did you
- 6:05Speaker 2: try to demonstrate more leadership capabilities at such a young
- 6:07Speaker 2: age when you have these like ten year vets, three kids,
- 6:10Speaker 2: a couple of mortgages, and they're like, man, what are
- 6:12Speaker 2: you talking to me about leadership?
- 6:14Speaker 4: It's so crazy, man, because I actually got voted as
- 6:16Speaker 4: a captain my rookie year and it wasn't a soccer
- 6:19Speaker 4: but it was just like I was nervous because I'm like,
- 6:22Speaker 4: just like you said, like, I'm a young dog coming
- 6:23Speaker 4: here with these team. You're they grown men, Like, look,
- 6:26Speaker 4: I'm new to the league. Like, but I think the
- 6:28Speaker 4: biggest thing for me. I just wanted to keep my
- 6:29Speaker 4: head down and just work hard and show them like
- 6:31Speaker 4: I'm not all talked. I'm not going to just try
- 6:33Speaker 4: to like talk to you guys. I'm just gonna show
- 6:34Speaker 4: you through my actions and then we can build up
- 6:36Speaker 4: to it. So like this year, I try to be
- 6:38Speaker 4: more vocal, just because, like I know why if I'm wrong,
- 6:40Speaker 4: I know how a coach is supposed to go, and
- 6:42Speaker 4: I know how to set the tone.
- 6:43Speaker 1: Are you more of a vocal guy? We got to
- 6:44Speaker 1: go to during our spring to where we went to
- 6:46Speaker 1: Bama and that staff, like everybody in the building talked
- 6:49Speaker 1: insanely high about you. Are you a big vocal guy?
- 6:52Speaker 5: Yeah?
- 6:52Speaker 4: I brun the defense up last week man to talk
- 6:55Speaker 4: to him man, And I think that's what you have
- 6:56Speaker 4: to have is some type of leadership and camaraderie with
- 6:59Speaker 4: the team man, just to know that, like, we gotta
- 7:01Speaker 4: keep this thing going.
- 7:02Speaker 5: And what happened last year was last year. We got
- 7:04Speaker 5: to focus on this year with I.
- 7:06Speaker 2: Lost my train of thought. I have a fun go ahead.
- 7:10Speaker 1: So I was I was our producer shout at the boy.
- 7:13Speaker 1: Shirroom was telling me that your family, like you had
- 7:15Speaker 1: a lot of pranks happen. You guys are a big
- 7:17Speaker 1: pranks your family. Can you give a couple couple of
- 7:20Speaker 1: pranks that are most most memorable.
- 7:22Speaker 4: So one time, so my dad used to breathe pit bulls.
- 7:25Speaker 4: So we used to have a whole bunch of pick
- 7:26Speaker 4: bulls in the backyard screening. Two of them roam around
- 7:29Speaker 4: and I was little at the time, and we had
- 7:31Speaker 4: this giraft suit.
- 7:32Speaker 5: I don't know why we had it.
- 7:33Speaker 4: But my sisters dressed me up and I think we
- 7:35Speaker 4: just been a playing around the house and you know
- 7:38Speaker 4: all that they put me in the draft suit. All
- 7:40Speaker 4: I know is all five of them, Like they picked
- 7:42Speaker 4: me up, took me to the screen and door, opened
- 7:45Speaker 4: the screen and door like this why and just let
- 7:47Speaker 4: the dogs start like drowning at me and trying to
- 7:49Speaker 4: bite me and like trying to like attack me or
- 7:51Speaker 4: whatever like that.
- 7:52Speaker 5: And I was screaming and crying.
- 7:54Speaker 1: Like, hey, how old are you?
- 7:57Speaker 2: I've ever heard four years old at the time, it's
- 7:59Speaker 2: just five bitches, and you have either the sault thing
- 8:02Speaker 2: was bad.
- 8:02Speaker 1: Hey he kind of stops and just kind of staring
- 8:04Speaker 1: flashing back. Man.
- 8:06Speaker 5: I was like I was literally crying, like nobody.
- 8:08Speaker 4: And then the biggest thing, Like my parents used to
- 8:10Speaker 4: work during the day, so I just used to be
- 8:12Speaker 4: at home with them by myself.
- 8:13Speaker 5: And I mean I was crying.
- 8:14Speaker 4: I think I ain't even gonna bearance myself like that,
- 8:16Speaker 4: but I almost peed on myself.
- 8:17Speaker 1: I No, that would be terrifying.
- 8:21Speaker 4: Bro, the Worstern brothers, I'm telling you their Worstern brothers.
- 8:25Speaker 2: How many pippoles were there?
- 8:26Speaker 4: A lot, A lot, a lot. We had a backdrop.
- 8:29Speaker 4: My mom made my dad. Another situation happened and we
- 8:31Speaker 4: had to get rid of all of them.
- 8:32Speaker 1: Yeah, so so you're not You're not the point of
- 8:34Speaker 1: contact for all the fellas when they want a dog.
- 8:36Speaker 1: You're not like, hey, I got you.
- 8:37Speaker 4: We breed them, now we bring We just started. My
- 8:39Speaker 4: dad just started breeding them again. So trying to get
- 8:41Speaker 4: get the bins out there again.
- 8:42Speaker 5: But it's cool.
- 8:44Speaker 2: Hey, on defense, you guys got some studs out there.
- 8:46Speaker 2: I was just looking at the guys, is it ou sheer? Yes,
- 8:50Speaker 2: he came home from the Titans. Tell me about him
- 8:52Speaker 2: because he looks like in.
- 8:52Speaker 1: The archery right archer.
- 8:55Speaker 2: Yeah, infectious personality once once he brought to the table.
- 8:59Speaker 4: Here, man, he's he's incredible, the energy that he has,
- 9:03Speaker 4: the way he can bring the defense up. Man. And
- 9:04Speaker 4: I remember one situation in practice. I had jumped off
- 9:07Speaker 4: sides and like, I've never had anybody like get on
- 9:10Speaker 4: me before, like I correct myself and I had got
- 9:12Speaker 4: mad at myself.
- 9:13Speaker 5: He says, stop fucking pouting, and it kind of like
- 9:16Speaker 5: you don't know who I am.
- 9:17Speaker 4: And it was just that respect level because I'm like, okay,
- 9:19Speaker 4: he challenged me. I like that shit, that's what we need.
- 9:22Speaker 4: And ever since then, like the defense has just been
- 9:24Speaker 4: on one. Like he gets everybody going, man. He fights around,
- 9:27Speaker 4: he has fun, and he does it the right way.
- 9:28Speaker 1: What uh, what traits do you enjoy the most? Like
- 9:31Speaker 1: watching Coach Ryan's being his first said coaching job, being
- 9:34Speaker 1: a defensive guy, like you, what have you liked the
- 9:36Speaker 1: most about Coach Ryan?
- 9:37Speaker 5: I just love that he's a players coach.
- 9:38Speaker 1: Man.
- 9:39Speaker 4: He actually coaches, and he actually loves players, man, And
- 9:41Speaker 4: he actually gets the time to know his players and
- 9:43Speaker 4: actually coach them and get them.
- 9:45Speaker 5: To know ball and just more than ball, Like.
- 9:48Speaker 1: Can you can you talk about can you talk about
- 9:51Speaker 1: like an example of what that means, like players coach
- 9:53Speaker 1: because obviously we throw it around a lot. But I
- 9:55Speaker 1: feel like we know in our minds, like when somebody
- 9:58Speaker 1: walks in a room and then they feel like you
- 10:00Speaker 1: feel like they're connecting with you more one on one
- 10:01Speaker 1: and teaching these games versus, hey, you have to do
- 10:03Speaker 1: it this way, you have to do it that way.
- 10:05Speaker 1: Is there like a certain example that you're able to
- 10:07Speaker 1: speak to when talking about him being a player's coach?
- 10:10Speaker 4: So, for instance, when I first got here, you know,
- 10:13Speaker 4: mostly the coaches when you draft the rookie, they could
- 10:15Speaker 4: have just been like, man, just go out there and
- 10:16Speaker 4: do what you normally do, like whatever you're going in Alabama.
- 10:18Speaker 4: And I came up to him one day and I
- 10:20Speaker 4: was like, coach, like, how can I get better on
- 10:22Speaker 4: this and that? And he stopped me. He said, will
- 10:24Speaker 4: I just want you to get better at one thing.
- 10:25Speaker 4: I just I don't want you to do no other
- 10:26Speaker 4: move the rest of camp. He said, I just want
- 10:29Speaker 4: you to work along form a work a ball. That's it.
- 10:31Speaker 4: That's the only move I want you to work. And
- 10:32Speaker 4: I want you to just keep perfecting that move every day.
- 10:35Speaker 4: And he got them to show clips for me, He
- 10:37Speaker 4: got them to make a real for me and everything
- 10:39Speaker 4: and every day he was just on me about that
- 10:41Speaker 4: and for him to like just say, I want you
- 10:43Speaker 4: to work on this one thing, and he showed me
- 10:45Speaker 4: clips and then follow up with it with me and
- 10:47Speaker 4: just showed my progress and my prog.
- 10:50Speaker 5: That's what made me even respect him even more.
- 10:51Speaker 1: I love that, Yeah, I love that about working on
- 10:54Speaker 1: one thing every day.
- 10:55Speaker 2: Talk about going against a guy like lambry Tunssel every man.
- 11:01Speaker 5: Man.
- 11:01Speaker 4: I think benma kind of burying me, like being there,
- 11:04Speaker 4: like they have great guys, you know what I'm saying.
- 11:05Speaker 4: But then you get here, you go against an elite guy,
- 11:07Speaker 4: like a really elite guy, and he gets me better
- 11:10Speaker 4: for sure. Like going against him, it's hard to beat
- 11:12Speaker 4: him because he's so technically sound.
- 11:13Speaker 2: Man, his feet are beautiful feet.
- 11:15Speaker 4: I mean I watched it and I'll just watch how
- 11:18Speaker 4: he does everything and it's still liked.
- 11:20Speaker 5: I can't beat him, but he's great.
- 11:22Speaker 1: Man there he is stout, casual. Yeah he's massive too.
- 11:26Speaker 2: Like energy is so casual, but his feet are like typewriters.
- 11:29Speaker 1: Yeah, he stays.
- 11:30Speaker 4: Square for so long. He's that what makes him really great.
- 11:32Speaker 4: He can stay square in his stamps. He has to
- 11:34Speaker 4: open up the gate in our division.
- 11:36Speaker 2: Who have you had the most difficulty with Colts Jaggs
- 11:42Speaker 2: because Titans. I hate saying this. He kind of went
- 11:44Speaker 2: on you kind of a crazy.
- 11:47Speaker 1: And would say the coat is number seventy two.
- 11:49Speaker 5: Yeah, just guess he's like I was.
- 11:52Speaker 4: A rookie though, but he's just very strong handed, wants
- 11:55Speaker 4: to like just grab your hold onto you.
- 11:58Speaker 1: The other side was a good side. But other than that,
- 12:00Speaker 1: that's the only Parson. It's seventy two the one you're
- 12:02Speaker 1: most looking forward to seeing this year?
- 12:04Speaker 4: Yeah, I mean I'm looking forward to going on against
- 12:05Speaker 4: the teams. I think this second year just been a
- 12:07Speaker 4: confident boost and just going back and watch the film
- 12:09Speaker 4: and being so embarrassed, like what were you even thinking?
- 12:11Speaker 4: Like what were you even doing? Yeah, coming out here
- 12:13Speaker 4: trying to get better at those things.
- 12:15Speaker 1: On the go ahead, I was gonna say, on the
- 12:17Speaker 1: flip side of Coach Ryan, you mentioned the things you
- 12:20Speaker 1: love about him. What is what is what is a
- 12:22Speaker 1: pet peeve of his? Yeah? Pet peeves that you have
- 12:27Speaker 1: that he doesn't like, that you don't like, not that
- 12:29Speaker 1: you don't like, but it's like a pet peeve of him.
- 12:31Speaker 1: That kind of shows the human side of it, because
- 12:34Speaker 1: not everybody you know, you don't just love everybody all
- 12:36Speaker 1: the time.
- 12:36Speaker 5: Honestly, man, I don't really have one. Man he's great,
- 12:40Speaker 5: and I've had some coaches.
- 12:42Speaker 4: W I did have Pet Peeve, But like man, he's
- 12:44Speaker 4: I'm I'm I respectful so much because we have the
- 12:47Speaker 4: same personality. We have the same mindset and mentality, so
- 12:50Speaker 4: it's easy for me to play for him and understand him.
- 12:51Speaker 1: So how about Pet Peeve of a coach saving ah,
- 12:57Speaker 1: let's see. I mean it prepared us for it, but
- 13:03Speaker 1: we will literally do.
- 13:04Speaker 4: Like team run versus scouts, and then we do team
- 13:08Speaker 4: run versus ones back to back like we're going right back.
- 13:12Speaker 4: And I was just like, bro, why couldn't we just
- 13:13Speaker 4: do team run versus the one and get it out
- 13:15Speaker 4: the way?
- 13:15Speaker 5: Bro?
- 13:16Speaker 1: Right question?
- 13:17Speaker 2: You're all tired now, bro? Oh, I know we gotta
- 13:19Speaker 2: get you here. We're gona do twisted question real quick.
- 13:21Speaker 2: The twisted question, sirman, Yeah, twist question.
- 13:25Speaker 4: You can eat me.
- 13:31Speaker 2: Salary for a year. So the question is, you can
- 13:35Speaker 2: eat meat for a year, but it's gotta you have
- 13:37Speaker 2: a fish and hunt for it, or you can eat
- 13:39Speaker 2: me in a He's like salary for a year.
- 13:41Speaker 5: Y'all don't know.
- 13:42Speaker 1: I'm a fishing. Oh we read up on you fishing
- 13:48Speaker 1: and say, yeah, damn it, shermy, sorry about that question.
- 13:51Speaker 1: Let's yeah, he's an outdoor he's saying. He's saying he's
- 13:53Speaker 1: gonna he's gonna eat what he kills, what he catches.
- 13:56Speaker 1: Can you hunt?
- 13:56Speaker 2: Oh no, See that's a whole different thing. You're going
- 13:59Speaker 2: up was Presbyterian? The rest of your life?
- 14:04Speaker 1: Why you're scared of? Honey man?
- 14:06Speaker 5: What are we hunted?
- 14:07Speaker 1: First? Let's just say, deers, what are you? What are
- 14:11Speaker 1: you scared of?
- 14:11Speaker 5: What are we in Africa?
- 14:15Speaker 1: Yeah? But y'all do y'all on South? Love that ship, guys,
- 14:19Speaker 1: guys ever taking up shore? You guys your team that
- 14:21Speaker 1: would go hunting? Boys with knives, only dog to get
- 14:25Speaker 1: out there. Hey, that ship looks crazy, right.
- 14:28Speaker 5: I take my chances on the lake man. What would
- 14:31Speaker 5: you do?
- 14:32Speaker 2: What would you do?
- 14:34Speaker 5: Oh?
- 14:35Speaker 1: I'm killing. I'm a hunter. I'm a hunter. What are
- 14:38Speaker 1: you talking about?
- 14:39Speaker 2: Once a year?
- 14:44Speaker 1: And just to tell you that one hundred year could
- 14:47Speaker 1: feed me for the rest of the year.
- 14:49Speaker 2: Just f y, I I just know I know what
- 14:51Speaker 2: I am. I will die. I will literally die. I'm
- 14:54Speaker 2: a domesticated Cat, I would, and it's just it's about living.
- 14:58Speaker 2: Give it to that next year.
- 15:00Speaker 1: Hey, will Bro, we appreciate you for coming on. Man,
- 15:02Speaker 1: we know we guys get you out of here. We
- 15:03Speaker 1: appreciate you, but good luck, stay healthy.
- 15:06Speaker 5: I appreciate you all for having me man.
- 15:07Speaker 1: Yeah, bro, and.
- 15:08Speaker 2: Go Titans, ladies and gentlemen. We are back at our
- 15:12Speaker 2: training camp tour right now. It is loud gentlemen, uh,
- 15:15Speaker 2: Nathaniel Jasper Dell and Nico Collins.
- 15:18Speaker 1: The government don't by the government.
- 15:20Speaker 2: Yeah, we got the boys with us just to finish
- 15:22Speaker 2: the practice. If you're listening and you're frustrated because it's
- 15:24Speaker 2: loud as as fun outside, it's because the fans are
- 15:27Speaker 2: going hard for Houston right now. These kids are running up.
- 15:30Speaker 2: What is it like having fans here?
- 15:31Speaker 1: Boys?
- 15:32Speaker 3: Yes, love it man, It's amazing. It's amazing.
- 15:34Speaker 6: It's the reason why we're here, man, the energy they bring,
- 15:36Speaker 6: you know, they're the reason why we come out here
- 15:38Speaker 6: every day and just have fun.
- 15:39Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 15:39Speaker 6: They bring the injury to the season. So like I
- 15:41Speaker 6: feel like for us, man's really going out there having
- 15:43Speaker 6: fun for them.
- 15:44Speaker 2: I love that.
- 15:45Speaker 4: Yea.
- 15:46Speaker 1: Where would you guys rank? Where would you guys rank
- 15:49Speaker 1: your receiving core in the league. Right now, I'm coming in.
- 15:52Speaker 6: I'm coming in so me personally, I mean, we got
- 15:55Speaker 6: to go out there and put out the put in
- 15:57Speaker 6: the work and show everybody else. But you know, I
- 16:00Speaker 6: feel like our confidence in the receiving room. I feel
- 16:02Speaker 6: like we're gonna say first, you're gonna say we talk
- 16:04Speaker 6: top to or not too.
- 16:05Speaker 1: But what other teams out there do you kind of
- 16:07Speaker 1: have you do? You do you keep your eye on
- 16:09Speaker 1: or you think would be in that list.
- 16:10Speaker 6: With y'all, Man, it's some great receivers you got. I
- 16:14Speaker 6: feel like you got Chicago, Chicago one of them. They
- 16:19Speaker 6: got a great receiver room. I still feel like Tennessee
- 16:22Speaker 6: you got cap Red Hopkins, you got a Sneaky It's
- 16:29Speaker 6: some great It's some great receivers all over. So man,
- 16:31Speaker 6: it's a lot. You got Vikings doing that. Yeah, you
- 16:34Speaker 6: got JJ.
- 16:35Speaker 3: I feel like with us, man, we're just all different.
- 16:38Speaker 3: We're different.
- 16:38Speaker 6: I feel like everybody game here is different. You know
- 16:41Speaker 6: you got it's different.
- 16:43Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, we gotta don't be scared your list no pause,
- 16:48Speaker 1: no ho. Hey, but let I'll tell you before man,
- 16:53Speaker 1: congratulate your contracted sessions. Always master when you get that
- 16:56Speaker 1: next contract extension.
- 16:57Speaker 2: And bro for you.
- 16:59Speaker 1: I feel like you have such a crazy story starting
- 17:01Speaker 1: out at Alabama A and M. I was reading up
- 17:03Speaker 1: a little bit of your high school, like trying to
- 17:05Speaker 1: get your first offer, they pull it. You go to
- 17:07Speaker 1: community college, then you go to Houston with Coach Carrier,
- 17:10Speaker 1: and I think that is an awesome story. Can you
- 17:13Speaker 1: talk about can you try to put that your story
- 17:16Speaker 1: in a nuts yell and talk about like what Coach
- 17:18Speaker 1: Carrier meant to you when he bet on you going
- 17:20Speaker 1: to Houston when everybody else was saying he is not
- 17:22Speaker 1: the right build at all to kind of get on
- 17:24Speaker 1: a wide receiver.
- 17:24Speaker 6: Yeah, man, Coach Carreery, I love him. I still talk
- 17:27Speaker 6: to him to this day. Man, he did everything for me.
- 17:28Speaker 6: I feel like without him, I wouldn't be one man
- 17:30Speaker 6: today for sure.
- 17:31Speaker 3: And it's funny because he.
- 17:32Speaker 6: Told me like, once I got to Houston, I wasn't
- 17:34Speaker 6: I wasn't gonna want to leave, and now that I'm here,
- 17:36Speaker 6: I don't want to leave. But man, I say, like
- 17:39Speaker 6: back in Juco, you know I didn't have Back in Juco,
- 17:42Speaker 6: I didn't have like no offers. I had three offers.
- 17:44Speaker 6: Central Michigan Accorate in Houston, and he came. He actually
- 17:48Speaker 6: flew all the way to Kansas for me and sat
- 17:50Speaker 6: in there. We met for like an hour thirty two hours,
- 17:52Speaker 6: and he was just he just looked me in my
- 17:54Speaker 6: eyes like he can saw that I was hunger, He
- 17:55Speaker 6: saw the dog and men like After that, they gave
- 17:58Speaker 6: me the offer I earned offering.
- 18:00Speaker 3: It was, it was wrapped up.
- 18:01Speaker 2: There was there ever a point in that process where
- 18:04Speaker 2: you were thinking of yourself, maybe football is not for me,
- 18:06Speaker 2: Maybe these people are right.
- 18:08Speaker 3: Nah nah.
- 18:09Speaker 6: I felt like either way, however it went, I was
- 18:11Speaker 6: gonna get here regardless. I was gonna just keep my
- 18:13Speaker 6: head down, keep working. I was gonna find a way
- 18:15Speaker 6: for sure. So so I never felt like that.
- 18:18Speaker 1: What do you feel like you learned from from take
- 18:20Speaker 1: coming in when he gets drafted, or when he gets drafted,
- 18:22Speaker 1: comes in the league being an undersized cat.
- 18:25Speaker 3: Yeah, man, it's really it's really about the dog in him,
- 18:27Speaker 3: the heart.
- 18:27Speaker 6: You know. It's not about the size. You know, it's
- 18:29Speaker 6: not about you know what you bring to the table, man,
- 18:32Speaker 6: It's really about your heart, your mindset.
- 18:33Speaker 5: Man.
- 18:34Speaker 6: And since day when he came in, he came in
- 18:35Speaker 6: on the mission, and it showed every day Man, the
- 18:37Speaker 6: off season, during the season practice. Man, like the boy
- 18:40Speaker 6: hunger you know what I'm saying, Like he want the rock,
- 18:42Speaker 6: you want to shine. Man, it felt like the ground
- 18:44Speaker 6: had been putting in ever since he got here. In
- 18:45Speaker 6: the off season and season it's showing. You know, it's
- 18:47Speaker 6: the reason why he's special, you know. So I feel
- 18:49Speaker 6: like Man for us and like his wide out this
- 18:51Speaker 6: whole offense. Man, we're gonna be dangerous.
- 18:53Speaker 4: Man.
- 18:53Speaker 6: Once you start clicking, getting in the rhythm, getting our
- 18:55Speaker 6: swat bat man, it's gonna be in trouble, Lena, be
- 18:57Speaker 6: in trouble for sure.
- 18:58Speaker 2: You talk about swag dude. And obviously the Tennessee Titans
- 19:01Speaker 2: have probably the best alternative uniforms of the NFL. I
- 19:07Speaker 2: feel like hours hours five your thinkers are better than
- 19:10Speaker 2: the Oiler ones.
- 19:11Speaker 1: Would you rather? Who do you lie? That's the baby?
- 19:17Speaker 2: Was just basically just trying to copy the oilers? Crazy?
- 19:28Speaker 2: They will? Who do you think should be able to
- 19:31Speaker 2: wear the O. G. Houston Oiler uniforms.
- 19:33Speaker 1: I feel.
- 19:36Speaker 2: About copy right laws. You guys know about owner Bud Adams?
- 19:41Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 19:42Speaker 2: Yeah, do you feel about this?
- 19:44Speaker 1: So?
- 19:44Speaker 2: Like trophy games College, like Paul Bundy and trophy. Whoever
- 19:48Speaker 2: wins that game, they bring the trophy to the next game.
- 19:50Speaker 2: Whoever wins takes it. So he Houston plays Tennessee twice
- 19:55Speaker 2: a year that whoever win the last game gets to
- 19:57Speaker 2: wear the oiler uniforms, and every time y'all playing, it's oilers.
- 20:01Speaker 3: I like that decision.
- 20:03Speaker 5: The best one, right.
- 20:04Speaker 2: Yeah, that's changed that rule in the league because we wouldn't.
- 20:08Speaker 3: Be able to wear when we played him.
- 20:10Speaker 5: Ever.
- 20:10Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, you cannot wear those uniforms. But I'm saying
- 20:14Speaker 2: the O. G. Houston Oiler, like if y'all beat the Titans.
- 20:18Speaker 1: Yeah, the proposal is it's up for grabs by y'all.
- 20:20Speaker 2: Yeah, essentially the trophy game. Okay, you know that y'all
- 20:25Speaker 2: be able to wear it.
- 20:26Speaker 1: I like that, Like I you have a fun recruiting
- 20:29Speaker 1: store with Coach charboll is true that he his fries.
- 20:32Speaker 3: He ate your fries, man, my fries. It was crazy.
- 20:35Speaker 6: But I came in man from lunch, right, So he
- 20:38Speaker 6: came in him and Coach Pell.
- 20:40Speaker 3: So it was in the fieldhouse.
- 20:41Speaker 1: Man.
- 20:41Speaker 6: You know, he sat down, you know, eat my lunch.
- 20:43Speaker 6: You know, he s sign he said, what's up? Jim Harbor.
- 20:46Speaker 6: I'm not how you're doing colors fool, the kind of
- 20:48Speaker 6: good grab the fry right, I'm.
- 20:49Speaker 3: Like, ahead, you know, I just have it.
- 20:51Speaker 5: You know.
- 20:52Speaker 6: But in that night, Man, he came over to the crib.
- 20:55Speaker 6: You know, he stayed over and yeah, he slept over.
- 20:58Speaker 6: It was crazy cause I want to spect him.
- 21:02Speaker 1: Want camp for outside of Man, I'm talking.
- 21:06Speaker 3: He came in. He was in Liverool. He was a
- 21:08Speaker 3: living room on the floor, so he came on the floor. Yeah,
- 21:10Speaker 3: so he came in. He came in the city.
- 21:13Speaker 1: Man.
- 21:13Speaker 6: So he was there the whole entire day, him and
- 21:14Speaker 6: Pelped Hamilton and we was there just killing him.
- 21:17Speaker 5: You know.
- 21:17Speaker 6: He said he was gonna stay the night. I really
- 21:18Speaker 6: didn't believe it until he really didn't leave. It's like
- 21:20Speaker 6: nine o'clock.
- 21:21Speaker 3: I'm like, yeah, yeah, yeah, it was real, you know.
- 21:25Speaker 5: So yeah, so he was.
- 21:26Speaker 3: One and I'm like, yeah, Harball, he's locked in with me.
- 21:29Speaker 6: Man. I feel like ever since then, he stood out
- 21:32Speaker 6: to me in my whole recruiting process. So I feel like, Man,
- 21:34Speaker 6: Harbor always been that guy for me.
- 21:36Speaker 2: When you in Michigan, did everybody have similar stories? He
- 21:40Speaker 2: was the craziest thing, craziest recruiting shore. You heard about
- 21:42Speaker 2: Jim Harbor crazy.
- 21:46Speaker 5: Recruiting.
- 21:47Speaker 6: I think the recruiting one, just staying at the recruit house.
- 21:50Speaker 6: But one day after camp, he he jumped in the
- 21:54Speaker 6: swimming pool like the clothes Khaki's collar shirt cleaks.
- 21:57Speaker 3: You know, he went over to the real real talk.
- 21:59Speaker 6: He went over to the swimming the dive thing and
- 22:01Speaker 6: to him come over there, and he jumped off the
- 22:03Speaker 6: highest thing like cannon ball, grabbing one leg full of
- 22:06Speaker 6: Khaki's belt, had on glasses, all that like different.
- 22:13Speaker 5: Yeah, I love it great.
- 22:15Speaker 1: We had a chance to go out to Oregon and
- 22:17Speaker 1: interview some cast. Teds Johnson was one of them. Are
- 22:19Speaker 1: you familiar with Tesz? Yeah? So Tz claims that you
- 22:24Speaker 1: are the swaggiest drill drilled for sure. Who you think
- 22:36Speaker 1: is competing with you?
- 22:37Speaker 6: You know what I do, I'm like Dion, like all
- 22:40Speaker 6: out before the game. I feel good playing, I have
- 22:45Speaker 6: to get I have to picture.
- 22:47Speaker 3: Myself in there, like put the sleeve by the arm.
- 22:50Speaker 1: Everything was talking about like if they'd be like if
- 22:54Speaker 1: they're like gold on the on the on the on
- 22:56Speaker 1: the green cleats he wear like a gold mouth.
- 22:59Speaker 3: Small What's what's more.
- 23:02Speaker 2: Important to you? The pre game fit or the game
- 23:03Speaker 2: fit game.
- 23:05Speaker 6: I say the game fit. I don't care about the
- 23:07Speaker 6: pre game. I come in there with some black and
- 23:10Speaker 6: force one, some shorts in the jacket. I don't care
- 23:12Speaker 6: about it, like dressing up before the games. Yeah, you
- 23:15Speaker 6: don't care about.
- 23:19Speaker 1: Is there another receiver around the league that you you
- 23:20Speaker 1: peep his game? You peep his fit every week?
- 23:23Speaker 6: Nico Nico be swagging with the tooth sleeve gigs, be swagging.
- 23:28Speaker 3: I sweat too much. I get hot, come that come hard.
- 23:35Speaker 5: Like that.
- 23:35Speaker 2: You're changing the game of fashion in the NFL.
- 23:38Speaker 6: Yeah, I ain't chasing, you said changing.
- 23:44Speaker 1: So what should we hit a segment with him?
- 23:52Speaker 2: I want to talk. I want to talk about the
- 23:53Speaker 2: off season. Man, that the shooting that took place. You
- 23:56Speaker 2: had a had a fib all that stuff, Like how
- 23:58Speaker 2: how was that turbulent process for you? Like what was
- 24:01Speaker 2: that night like, say that night like when you when
- 24:03Speaker 2: you got shot at when.
- 24:04Speaker 3: I got shot?
- 24:05Speaker 1: How was it like a little yeah, a little bit.
- 24:09Speaker 1: I can't hear them. You said, how was it that
- 24:11Speaker 1: the shooting happened?
- 24:12Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 24:13Speaker 5: Yeah, how was it?
- 24:14Speaker 2: No, like just like the how like how it all
- 24:16Speaker 2: went down the process of coming back from that.
- 24:20Speaker 6: It went down just at a pool party. You know,
- 24:23Speaker 6: a fight broke out, people did what they do. You
- 24:27Speaker 6: know in Florida, you know, it's no gun laws, so
- 24:29Speaker 6: everybody just carrying guns now, and a fight broke out.
- 24:33Speaker 6: Somebody pulled out a gun, shots went off. I ran,
- 24:36Speaker 6: I got hit. I didn't even realize I was hit
- 24:38Speaker 6: until like when I was running, I jumped the fence
- 24:40Speaker 6: and when I came down, I felt like a sharp
- 24:42Speaker 6: pain go through my leg. I was like, oh ship,
- 24:45Speaker 6: That's when I figured I got hit. But I mean after,
- 24:48Speaker 6: you know, after I got out of the hospital. Like
- 24:50Speaker 6: once when I was in the hospital, when they told me,
- 24:52Speaker 6: they was like it was a throw and through and
- 24:54Speaker 6: told me that I'd be good and I could play
- 24:56Speaker 6: football again, and like it wasn't It'd be like a
- 24:59Speaker 6: week or two for a cli, a week to three
- 25:01Speaker 6: weeks for recovery.
- 25:03Speaker 3: Man, I feel fine. I was like that's all I
- 25:05Speaker 3: needed to hear.
- 25:06Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 25:06Speaker 6: Like the next day I was jogging, like I went
- 25:08Speaker 6: down to like the basketball courts where I was staying at.
- 25:10Speaker 6: I was like jogging on the basketball court. Get in
- 25:13Speaker 6: my mind right, I'm like I gotta get back fast
- 25:15Speaker 6: as possible. So that was my whole thing.
- 25:16Speaker 1: That's my whole made you guys playing many men. When
- 25:19Speaker 1: he came back in the wide.
- 25:20Speaker 3: Receive my Dog.
- 25:26Speaker 2: We got a segment on bushing the boys called tear talk,
- 25:28Speaker 2: and the whole idea is to rank your top three
- 25:31Speaker 2: of these things. Our tear talk segment today is going
- 25:34Speaker 2: to be a white guy saying the things you hear
- 25:36Speaker 2: white dudes.
- 25:39Speaker 1: Take a minute, white boy.
- 25:40Speaker 7: Saying, Okay, let's let's talk to you. Let's talk, he said,
- 25:50Speaker 7: let's talk to each other.
- 25:53Speaker 1: He got your three. I got to.
- 26:00Speaker 5: What up that boy?
- 26:01Speaker 1: Nah? I think my here, I'll start it off as
- 26:04Speaker 1: being a Caucasian myself. I think, what's up bros? And
- 26:09Speaker 1: State Bro.
- 26:11Speaker 3: That's awesome, man, Yeah, that's awesome.
- 26:13Speaker 6: But I think number one, my tier one is the Man, the.
- 26:17Speaker 1: Myth, the legend. There is the man, the myth, the legend,
- 26:22Speaker 1: like all white dude said, especially when you get a
- 26:24Speaker 1: little older, you become a dad. I think the whole
- 26:27Speaker 1: the Man the legends starts to enter your bucking.
- 26:29Speaker 3: Man, the mill, the legend. Yeah, I need I need
- 26:32Speaker 3: you being over here with me. Yeah, goes man, he
- 26:34Speaker 3: got all. I have no slogans uh see, let me see.
- 26:42Speaker 2: Hey dude, dude, what's up?
- 26:45Speaker 5: Dude?
- 26:45Speaker 2: Is probably my Tier three?
- 26:47Speaker 3: Yeah see ie, coach be like, no, no way, He's
- 26:50Speaker 3: like you guss up in film. Noo what the free?
- 26:56Speaker 5: Yeah? What the what the free?

- 27:03Speaker 2: nice to meet you. That't know what the freak?
- 27:08Speaker 5: I love you.
- 27:09Speaker 2: Guys. Need to diversify yourself.
- 27:13Speaker 1: You know, we got a lot.
- 27:14Speaker 3: We got a lot at the same.
- 27:21Speaker 6: I got around somebody for so long they started to
- 27:24Speaker 6: pick up on a slaying and leg and something like that.
- 27:26Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 27:27Speaker 3: The white boys in our room, they talk like us. Yeah, yeah,
