- 0:27Hey everybody, good morning from the chicken coop today.
- 0:31This is a little bit of a farm lesson about growing in the
- 0:34sense of what's in your mind. Now, as you know out here, we
- 0:37grow lots of things and I'm always experimenting.
- 0:40One of my greatest new little experiments that we'll be
- 0:43talking about is Loofah, which I don't know, it was a, it was a,
- 0:48it was an impulse purchase because the girls at the herb
- 0:52farm had loofah plants gone growing.
- 0:55And I was like, oh, let me try it.
- 0:56I've never tried it before. And I got to tell you, it is the
- 0:59most fascinating thing to watch what happened.
- 1:01But that's for another day. Today we're talking about
- 1:04growing things, but growing in your mind.
- 1:06So this gets weird at the time of the year when people start
- 1:10thinking about, you know, next year and what they want to focus
- 1:13on because it's our nature to think, Oh, yeah, I'm all psyched
- 1:15up and I'm going to get it. But the where is the best place
- 1:19that you start that like, how do you start that process and feel
- 1:23empowered by that process? Everybody always wants to know
- 1:26the steps. Where does it begin?
- 1:28And it begins first in your imagination.
- 1:31It begins with your creativity and your imagination.
- 1:35And I might not think that that's where this would start
- 1:38because it always seems to go back to practicality with us as
- 1:41human beings. However, it is truly one of the
- 1:45most amazing things when you let your imagination run and your
- 1:51creativity run prior to setting your goals, because then you can
- 1:55actually start to discern, is this something that I, I truly
- 2:00really want? Or am I just, I'm doing it
- 2:03because I have to tick the box. We talk about that a lot like
- 2:06this is what I, I don't want to have to go to work, but I do it
- 2:09because I need the money. And that way we start to base
- 2:13our goals based on the fact that I need the money as opposed to
- 2:16what do I really want out of the process.
- 2:19So when you start way at this point at the beginning, and you
- 2:22start with your creativity and your imagination and you hold to
- 2:26that. Now this is where it gets really
- 2:28tricky holding to that because I can't begin to stress enough
- 2:32that this process is very challenging for us based on the
- 2:37fact that we unequivocably come back to interrupting ourselves
- 2:41when we are in a creative process.
- 2:43And we'll say, oh, but I don't know how I'm going to do that
- 2:46and therefore I'm going to just let it go or it's not going to
- 2:50work. We we cut ourselves off at the
- 2:52knees before we even get started.
- 2:55One of the greatest things that I have experienced for myself is
- 2:59the fact that I covet my imagination and my creativity.
- 3:03I think it's one of my superpowers.
- 3:05I've talked about it many times and I don't let things get in my
- 3:10way with it. I refuse to let things get in my
- 3:13way with it. If I'm going to do something
- 3:15creative, I'm going to be as creative as I possibly can in
- 3:18the process of being creative and then I will trust 100% that
- 3:25this is going to unfold. If my if my emotion behind it is
- 3:30completely and totally engaged with it and there is excitement,
- 3:34there is passion, there is that feeling of exuberance, then I'm
- 3:39going to be able to figure it out on the fly.
- 3:42I know that about myself and I know that to be true for anyone
- 3:46who does it that way. Because you're holding in the
- 3:49creative space, you're holding in the imagination, which is
- 3:51pure potential by the way. The universe provides us with
- 3:54that as it is pure potential. And think about just how
- 3:58creative the universe in itself is with all the strange things
- 4:01that we have. I mean, all you have to do is
- 4:02think of a platypus to say, wow, if that isn't the most creative
- 4:06thing. Because let's face it, if we had
- 4:08a child and a child blew and drew an animal on a piece of
- 4:11paper and it was a platypus, we'd be like, oh, no, that's not
- 4:14in reality. But guess what?
- 4:15It is because it is so massively creative.
- 4:19Look at it. It's, it's just a reminder to me
- 4:22about how when we think things won't work, oh boy, they can
- 4:26remember the platypus. So back to this holding true in
- 4:30your imagination first. The key to this is getting into
- 4:34that headspace and feeling super connected when you're doing the
- 4:38creative stuff. So a little trick for me as you
- 4:41go, start to go through this and think about what do I want, you
- 4:44know, to imagine for myself for next year, maybe for next month.
- 4:48It doesn't matter the time frame, it's just what do I want
- 4:51to imagine for myself? And the very first thing as you
- 4:54start to go through and start to imagine for yourself is
- 4:58remembering the in the imagination process.
- 5:02It matters where you're doing it.
- 5:04If you're doing this and you're trying to do it in a place where
- 5:07you know it's not going to work, IE in the middle of your office
- 5:12and you know it's stressful and people are bothering you, don't
- 5:15do it there. For me, there are some very
- 5:18sacred places I like to go to do it.
- 5:20So, you know, I have a favorite tree that I love to visit and
- 5:24that tree just is so it's so huge and so awesome.
- 5:28And that tree makes me feel like 1,000,000 bucks when I'm there.
- 5:32I can't explain it, but I feel that way.
- 5:34So when I go and I sit at that tree, I've actually written part
- 5:37of the bus book at the tree, which is crazy, but I would go
- 5:41and sit at the tree for hours and write at the tree.
- 5:44And it really why paced at the tree.
- 5:47But it, it, it actually really totally engaged me in that
- 5:53energy. That's what I'm talking about.
- 5:56If you like to do it where nobody can like essentially
- 5:59notice you and you want to do it at a cafe and the cafe is noisy
- 6:03and you think, why shouldn't be doing this there?
- 6:05Don't shoot all over yourself. Just say if that's where I feel
- 6:08empowered, that's where I'm going to do it.
- 6:10Start with the place, start with the right tools and let your
- 6:14imagination go because I promise you it will be worth every bit
- 6:18of it. So go back and figure out what
- 6:20do I want to grow in my imagination 1st and get that
- 6:24part down. All right my friends, I hope you
- 6:26have a blessed day and I will see you soon.
- 6:28Bye.
