• 0:12
Hello friends, it is Sean here and it is a happy Friday and I
• 0:16
hope it is treating you as such. We have reached the end of
• 0:20
another week. Good for you or good for me, as
• 0:23
I have ha spent it on holidays and it has been a very, very
• 0:28
good week and I hope that yours has been too.
• 0:30
But however your week has been, you have some down time ahead
• 0:35
and we just put down whatever's bubbling up in us.
• 0:39
Whatever pressures are pressing down on us or whatever
• 0:43
excitement is welling up in us, we just place that down and we
• 0:48
come before God to pray together.
• 0:52
This prayer of David, this prayer of lament about ruthless
• 0:56
people pursuing him as we read together.
• 1:00
Psalm 86. Bend down, O Lord, and hear my
• 1:14
prayer. Answer me for I need your help.
• 1:19
Protect me for I am devoted to You.
• 1:23
Save me for I serve you and trust you.
• 1:27
You are my God. Be merciful to me, O Lord, for
• 1:33
I'm calling on you constantly. Give me happiness, oh Lord, for
• 1:38
I give myself to you. Oh Lord, you are so good, so
• 1:43
ready to forgive, so full of unfailing love for all who ask
• 1:48
for your help. Listen closely to my prayer, oh
• 1:52
Lord, hear my urgent cry. I will call to you whenever I'm
• 1:57
in trouble, and you will answer me.
• 2:00
No Pagan God is like you, O Lord.
• 2:03
None can do what you do. All the nations you made will
• 2:07
come and bow before you, Lord. They will praise your holy name,
• 2:13
for you are great and perform wonderful deeds.
• 2:17
You alone are God. Teach me your ways, O Lord, that
• 2:23
I may live according to your truth.
• 2:26
Grant me purity of heart so that I may honor you with all my
• 2:32
  heart. I will praise you.
• 2:34
Oh Lord, my God. I will give glory to your name
• 2:39
forever. For your love for me is very
• 2:43
great. You have rescued me from the
• 2:46
  depths of death. Oh God.
• 2:49
Insolent people rise up against me.
• 2:52
A violent gang is trying to kill me.
• 2:55
You mean nothing to them. But you, O Lord, are a God of
• 3:00
compassion and mercy. Slow to get angry and filled
• 3:05
  with unfailing love and faithfulness.
• 3:11
Look down and have mercy on me. Give your strength to your
• 3:15
servant. Save me, the son of your
• 3:18
servant. Send me a sign of your favor.
• 3:23
Then those who hate me will be put to shame for you.
• 3:27
O Lord, help and comfort me. What a beautiful Psalm You are a
• 3:45
beautiful God who is faithful and loving.
• 3:56
We just thank you for your mighty hands, who created the
• 4:01
heavens and the earth, and your gentle heart that draws close to
• 4:08
us. Thank you that you never tire of
• 4:14
extending your love to us, of drawing us back to you into your
• 4:20
embrace. No matter what comes to us this
• 4:25
day, whether it be a celebration or a challenge or mediocrity or
• 4:30
boredom, we just place today in your loving arms and pray that
• 4:36
you guide us through today in the surefire knowledge of your
• 4:41
presence with us today and every day may that be branded in our
• 4:46
consciousness. We love you because you first
• 4:52
loved us, and it's in the mighty name of Jesus that we pray I'm
• 4:58
  in.
