A federal judge has blocked deportation of a key witness in the fatal shooting of Lorenzo Salgado Araujo, ordering his release from immigration custody and restricting his movement without court approval. The witness, Jose Trinidad Rojas Pliego, who was in the van at the time of the July 7th incident, has no criminal record, is married to a U.S. citizen, and has U.S. citizen children.
