- 0:34Now wake up!
- 0:35It's time to look at the enemy.
- 0:37Look in the mirror if he is no
- 0:39friend to me.
- 0:40It's not working out,
- 0:42maybe it's the chemistry.
- 0:43It's time to break up so I can

- 0:58crazy weekend.
- 1:01You know what I forgot to take with
- 1:02me?
- 1:02Your thirdsy?
- 1:04My thirdsy.
- 1:06And I paid dearly.
- 1:08Yes.
- 1:10Oh my gosh.
- 1:11I,
- 1:11sleeping in another bed that's not yours,
- 1:15at your mom's house, doing that,
- 1:17and then not have the thirdsy to help
- 1:19you fall asleep?
- 1:21So bad.
- 1:21Mm-hmm.
- 1:23No, thank you.
- 1:24I am tired.
- 1:25I am tired.
- 1:26I am tired.
- 1:28I had to go back to work this
- 1:29morning.

- 1:32I suffered from, go get your Thirdsy.

- 1:45It is a lifesaver and you don't realize
- 1:47what you got till it's gone is the
- 1:49old song, right?
- 1:50That's it.
- 1:52And this weekend I forgot to take it
- 1:54with me.
- 1:54So I found that out real quick.
- 1:58Bless you.
- 1:59Arlene Smith, my Patriots in a place.
- 2:01Yeah.
- 2:01The Bears and the Patriots went from last
- 2:04to first this year.
- 2:07Both of them.
- 2:08It is crazy.
- 2:09Crazy.
- 2:12Jody, how's my mom?
- 2:14So my mom is doing awesome.
- 2:16The procedure went as expected.
- 2:19Everything went well.
- 2:20You can already see the difference in her
- 2:23just on the trip back from Pennsylvania to
- 2:27Ohio last night.
- 2:29Sweet.
- 2:30The only beef of it all is we
- 2:32were going to do the show last night.
- 2:35Um,
- 2:35we're going to do the show Sunday night,
- 2:38but the internet was not great at my
- 2:39mom's house.
- 2:41Um,
- 2:41and then we had to pack the night
- 2:43before to get her here.
- 2:44Cause she came back with us for Christmas.
- 2:46So I just said, you know what,
- 2:48let's do it Monday night.
- 2:49We got to,
- 2:50we had to drive an hour and a
- 2:51half to get her, uh, to Erie,
- 2:54Pennsylvania for the procedure.
- 2:57at eight a.m so we were out the
- 2:59door at six thirty a.m um with you
- 3:01know five thirty wake up call get up
- 3:04there they do her vitals all the stuff
- 3:07and then she sat for three hours with
- 3:09nobody ever talking to her and finally i'm
- 3:13like is there a timetable on when this
- 3:15is going to happen right and when i
- 3:19said that all of a sudden then they
- 3:20took her away
- 3:24Yes, right now.
- 3:25So then I'm waiting for her to come
- 3:27back.
- 3:28No word from anybody.
- 3:30And then all of a sudden,
- 3:31she rolls back in about two hours later.
- 3:34And she's talking as they're rolling her
- 3:37in.
- 3:37Like, she's already awake.
- 3:39Boom.
- 3:40And she wants to go home.
- 3:42But she's got EKG wires hooked to her.
- 3:44She's got an IV poured in that we
- 3:47have to wait to get...
- 3:49It was another two hours after that to
- 3:52get her discharged.
- 3:54My wife had a knee replacement surgery in
- 3:57half the time it took for this to
- 3:59shock my mom's heart back into rhythm.
- 4:03That's a whole ass day, dude.
- 4:05Dude.
- 4:05And then we had a three and a
- 4:07half hour drive back to Columbus last
- 4:10night.
- 4:11You got home.
- 4:12Like, yeah, it was all over.
- 4:16There was no productivity out of this
- 4:18body.
- 4:19By the time I drove to Erie,
- 4:21sat in the hospital room all day and
- 4:23then drove here.
- 4:23And my poor wife,
- 4:25we had Walter with us.
- 4:26So she's sitting in a park in our
- 4:28car,
- 4:29taking him for walks all day and just
- 4:32stuck there.
- 4:34just petting the dog just petting the dog
- 4:37all day i love this dog yeah hanging
- 4:42out yes my mom is doing awesome you
- 4:50could see the energy like her perk back
- 4:52up almost immediately uh mark phillips had
- 4:56it i had afib and waited in the
- 4:58r for ages while they were testing
- 5:00families for covid
- 5:07I don't know.
- 5:08We are very lucky here in Columbus that
- 5:10we have like very good doctors and medical
- 5:13facilities.
- 5:14And if you go to the right ones,
- 5:16like you can get in and out pretty.
- 5:18When I had the same procedure my mom
- 5:20had,
- 5:21I was there in the morning and home
- 5:22by eleven a.m.
- 5:27No, super fast, super quick.
- 5:34But at the end of the day,
- 5:35she's better.
- 5:36It just was a long,
- 5:38painful day for my wife and I.
- 5:40But not my mom's fault.
- 5:42We just don't want her to think that
- 5:46we're upset with her.
- 5:46We're just glad she's better.
- 5:49Because she is watching the show.
- 5:52These are my nephews right now across
- 5:53town.
- 5:54So I don't, you know,
- 5:56they may be busy.
- 5:56She's with a great granddaughter today.
- 5:58Oh, she's playing with that.
- 6:02So she may or may not be on
- 6:03today, but, um, but yeah, just glad,
- 6:07just glad she's better.
- 6:09And then she's going to spend Christmas
- 6:10Eve and Christmas with us.
- 6:12Um, so, um,
- 6:18Yeah, so Eric Mackey asked the question,
- 6:21saw thumbnails, Christmas movies.
- 6:23Did I miss the finale of sports movies
- 6:24bracket?
- 6:25You did not.
- 6:27With the weekend I had,
- 6:30I do not have the bracket ready to
- 6:31go tonight.
- 6:32Plus, we have the World Fitness Project,
- 6:34which is going to take up a lot
- 6:35of the time.
- 6:36And so I didn't want to try to
- 6:38cram it in at the end.
- 6:41We don't have anything next week.
- 6:42There's no competition tonight.
- 6:44We're just going to finish the second half
- 6:45of the bracket this Sunday night and we'll
- 6:48finish off the sports movies going into
- 6:50the new year.
- 6:51So tonight we're just going to do our
- 6:52top five holiday movies.
- 6:54Cause Jamie wants to do it really,
- 6:56really bad.
- 6:57And I figure the week of Christmas,
- 6:59why not use that just to kind of
- 7:01fill our, our end time tonight.
- 7:04It sounds like a perfect time to do
- 7:06it.
- 7:07Yeah.
- 7:09so we'll do holiday movies tonight we'll
- 7:11finish up sports movies next week um and
- 7:14it's really just about time during the
- 7:16show the wfp is going to take up
- 7:18some time tonight and i didn't want to
- 7:23rush through any of it where the following
- 7:25week we have nothing and we'll have plenty
- 7:27of time to finish the bracket completely
- 7:29love it love it love it and uh
- 7:35just for the rest of the week i'll
- 7:37be here all week
- 7:39I think the only day I'm probably not
- 7:41going to do a show is Christmas,
- 7:43just to let everybody know.
- 7:44I did Thanksgiving.
- 7:46The numbers were so low that I cannot
- 7:53see the Christmas one being any better,
- 7:56probably being worse.
- 7:58So we'll probably just take Christmas Day
- 8:01off.
- 8:07While not in my top five or anything,
- 8:09Saving Christmas is very underrated.
- 8:11I said what I said.
- 8:13Surviving Christmas.
- 8:16I've heard that title before.
- 8:17I believe it's Ben Affleck and Tony
- 8:21Soprano.
- 8:22What's his name?
- 8:23Oh, James Gandolfini.
- 8:25Yep, James Gandolfini.
- 8:26I believe that's what it is.
- 8:32We do all the classics at home.
- 8:34Die Hard, both Home Alone.
- 8:36Right,
- 8:39it's not Christmas until I see John
- 8:42McClane throw Hans Gruber off the
- 8:44thirty-second floor at Nakatomi Plaza.
- 8:47I mean, sorry.
- 8:49Call it what you want.
- 8:50I will say this, too.
- 8:53I've seen it, Mike.
- 8:53It's good.
- 8:54It's good.
- 8:57I will say this too for the people
- 8:58that say that, well,
- 8:59if Die Hard is a Christmas movie,
- 9:00Lethal Weapon is a Christmas movie.
- 9:02Absolutely it is.
- 9:04Lethal Weapon is absolutely a Christmas
- 9:05movie.
- 9:05It happens at Christmas time.
- 9:06One of the last scenes,
- 9:08they are fighting in the front yard with
- 9:12the Christmas ticket.
- 9:13Yeah,
- 9:13and there's like Christmas trees and shit
- 9:15like that that drive through the window.
- 9:17And because of the very beginning of
- 9:20Lethal Weapon, I cannot hear...
- 9:26Which one is it?
- 9:28Is it the weather outside is frightful?
- 9:32That's the song that's playing right
- 9:33before Old Girl does the line of whatever
- 9:35and it jumps off the balcony.
- 9:37So I can't hear that song without thinking
- 9:40of the opening scene of Leave the Weapon.
- 9:43It just happens to be in there.
- 9:48um jody says i watched her what fun
- 9:49last night man uh yeah julie and i
- 9:52watched a week ago it was it was
- 9:54okay i wouldn't put it it's probably not
- 9:57a repeat watch but it was all right
- 10:00is that the that the new one it's
- 10:02new michelle pfeiffer's new one okay um
- 10:06and she said michelle pfeiffer's had so
- 10:07much plastic surgery yeah probably half of
- 10:11hollywood has um
- 10:15Craig says Family Man and Beautiful Girls
- 10:18are classic Christmas-related movies.
- 10:21I don't know Beautiful Girls,
- 10:22but Family Man,
- 10:25we watched that a couple weeks ago as
- 10:26well.
- 10:27I'm a big fan of that.
- 10:28I'm a big fan of anything with Taya
- 10:30Leone.
- 10:32Classic Taya Leone.
- 10:34Yeah, Bad Boys...
- 10:37family man thank you thank no thank you
- 10:39for starting off with bad boys bad boys
- 10:43she is a rock star in bad boys
- 10:46it's ridiculous dude it is absolutely
- 10:48ridiculous and she's great in it as an
- 10:50actress too like yeah no she is awesome
- 10:53like she holds her own with uh with
- 10:56both of them she's on the screen with
- 10:59with either one i'm doing and uh she's
- 11:01just fantastic in that she's fantastic in
- 11:04uh
- 11:06What's the end of the world movie with
- 11:08deep impact when she's a reporter that
- 11:10like stumbles on the story.
- 11:12She has absolutely no idea what she has.
- 11:13Like I will watch just about anything that
- 11:16she's in.
- 11:16Yeah.
- 11:18Big fan.
- 11:18Big fan.
- 11:20I hate David Duchovny, but okay.
- 11:23Whatever.
- 11:24Whatever.
- 11:25He's irrelevant to me at this point.
- 11:29Less than zero could also be considered a
- 11:31Christmas related movie.
- 11:33I don't think it happens around Christmas
- 11:34time.
- 11:35Yeah.
- 11:37Mike DeVito, yeah, not a repeat watch,
- 11:39just like Deck the Halls.
- 11:41And I'm a huge Danny DeVito fan.
- 11:43My wife loves Deck the Halls.
- 11:46I do not like it at all.
- 11:47I don't know why I don't like it.
- 11:49I just don't even find it amusing.
- 11:53I'm going to tell you something.
- 11:55If you want to, if you're bored,
- 12:00if you're somewhere around holiday time,
- 12:04which we have been before,
- 12:06just start watching like turn on the
- 12:08hallmark channel and just watch all the
- 12:10random like repeat hallmark christmas
- 12:14movies because they're all the same movie
- 12:16it's just different people are in it and
- 12:17they're slightly different scenarios oh my
- 12:20god it's one of those like they're so
- 12:22bad
- 12:23that they are good because they all follow
- 12:26the exact same plot line.
- 12:27You know, oh,
- 12:29it's either this dude comes back to his
- 12:30hometown and his high school crush is
- 12:33running a bake shop.
- 12:34And even though he's a multi-billionaire,
- 12:37he's going to just leave his job,
- 12:40save the town for Christmas.
- 12:41I don't know how you save a town.
- 12:43I've never figured that out yet,
- 12:44but holy smokes.
- 12:46We did that one year, dude.
- 12:49Is this the one where the hot guy
- 12:51comes back to town and the girl running
- 12:54the bake shop falls in love with him?
- 12:58Yeah.
- 12:59Or is it the hot girl that comes
- 13:01back to town and the guy's running,
- 13:04I don't know, pick a thing, a restaurant,
- 13:07a lawn service, whatever the case may be.
- 13:10Maybe he's a town librarian.
- 13:13Nobody really knows.
- 13:14They just...
- 13:16And they hate each other for like the
- 13:17first thirty minutes of the movie and then
- 13:19they tolerate each other and then by the
- 13:21end they're getting married.
- 13:22It is fantastic.
- 13:25Yeah,
- 13:25my dad actually right before he died
- 13:28became a Hallmark Christmas movie fan.
- 13:31The guy would sit and watch Christmas
- 13:33movies all night.
- 13:36And he became, like, real sappy,
- 13:38and he would tear up.
- 13:39And, like,
- 13:40just towards the end of his life,
- 13:41that's just what he did.
- 13:43And because of that, every year,
- 13:46my wife and I pick a couple to
- 13:47watch just to, you know,
- 13:49feel close to him.
- 13:51If you go on Netflix and or Amazon
- 13:54and just search Christmas movies, I mean,
- 13:57there's going to be, like,
- 13:59a thousand of them that come up.
- 14:01And they are awesome.
- 14:03Every single one of them is fantastic.
- 14:04I love it.
- 14:06Siobhan only cried once.
- 14:07I don't believe that.
- 14:14Um, yeah,
- 14:14you got to wait till your boys are
- 14:15a little bit older and they start
- 14:16accomplishing things.
- 14:18And then like, yeah,
- 14:20when my daughter started like doing really
- 14:23well in life,
- 14:25like that's what makes me cry.
- 14:30Um, interesting.
- 14:32It says Christmas tree farm.
- 14:34Yep.
- 14:35Yeah, that could be one of the jobs.
- 14:40Kenneth DeLapp, I cried when Gandalf died.
- 14:42That's about it.
- 14:45That is a true nerd right there.
- 14:50Gandalf dies.
- 14:52Gandalf dies?
- 14:53What do you mean Gandalf dies?
- 14:56Well,
- 14:57I didn't mean to dive all the way
- 14:58into Christmas movies on this show.
- 15:00We're going to do that a little bit.
- 15:01It's easy to do, brother.
- 15:03Maybe we'll come back to it at the
- 15:04end, but my bears are in the playoffs,
- 15:07dude.
- 15:08And one of the most amazing games in
- 15:11the history of the NFL happened on
- 15:13Saturday night.
- 15:14And that was a big reason why I
- 15:15couldn't sleep.
- 15:17They were down by ten points with two
- 15:19minutes left,
- 15:20one fifty nine left to go in the
- 15:22game.
- 15:24They get a field goal.
- 15:26They get an onside kick.
- 15:28They score a touchdown.
- 15:29They get into overtime.
- 15:30And then Caleb makes one of the best
- 15:32throws you've ever seen by an NFL
- 15:35quarterback to win the game.
- 15:37And it was insanity.
- 15:39And, you know, I,
- 15:41the algorithm is just feeding me every
- 15:43bears podcast, every day.
- 15:46Right.
- 15:46And I, I couldn't sleep.
- 15:48I could not get to sleep Saturday night.
- 15:50It just,
- 15:51it's been so long since I have had
- 15:54a team that has done that well.
- 15:56And I'm just, I'm riding the wave, dude.
- 15:57I'm riding the wave,
- 15:59but also in the NFL,
- 16:01we had like the craziest NFL play or
- 16:03NFL officiated endings, right?
- 16:07Seattle and L.A., Detroit and Pittsburgh.
- 16:10Officials came in like the weirdest shit
- 16:13where a quarterback throws a pass,
- 16:15then it's determined it was backwards,
- 16:17bounces off a helmet,
- 16:19rolls into the end zone,
- 16:20and the offensive player just goes to pick
- 16:22it up to hand it to the ref.
- 16:23It was still a live ball,
- 16:25two-point conversion good.
- 16:26That wins the game for Seattle.
- 16:30Pittsburgh game.
- 16:32They throw to Amon Ross St.
- 16:33Brown.
- 16:33He gets tackled at the one yard line
- 16:36and gets pushed back.
- 16:38He laterals to Jared Goff,
- 16:41who then takes it in the end zone
- 16:42for the winning touchdown.
- 16:44But then Amon Ross St.
- 16:45Brown is called for offensive pass
- 16:46interference.
- 16:47So the game is over because you cannot
- 16:50extend the game on an offensive penalty.
- 16:53Crazy stuff.
- 16:55And I was thinking like,
- 16:57as I'm looking at some Hiller videos
- 16:58online and looking at like Laura's squat
- 17:01depth and like officiating and judging is
- 17:05an issue in every sport.
- 17:07Absolutely.
- 17:08It is not just CrossFit.
- 17:10It is not just fitness.
- 17:11It is not whatever.
- 17:13It is that way in every single sport.
- 17:16We're always bitching about the refs,
- 17:18the umps, the judges, whatever it may be.
- 17:23I think where we get off track,
- 17:28especially in fitness and CrossFit
- 17:30especially,
- 17:32is these events that have so many
- 17:34different divisions and you spread
- 17:36yourself so thin with judges.
- 17:42And so I ask you,
- 17:44I don't want to get into a big
- 17:45World Fitness Project talk because we're
- 17:46going to do that tonight,
- 17:47but because they tried to do teams and
- 17:51they tried to do the elites and all
- 17:53of that,
- 17:54do you think that they spread themselves
- 17:59too thin with judging?
- 18:02Yes.
- 18:04But I think it's not just a World
- 18:06Fitness Project problem.
- 18:08It's any large comp problem.
- 18:10There's only so much you can do.
- 18:12There are really good guys who love what
- 18:16they do, pour themselves into it.
- 18:18Andrew Stim's one of them.
- 18:20Dave Harding is another one I can think
- 18:22of off the top of my head who
- 18:23are, Miss Karen,
- 18:25I don't remember her last name,
- 18:28but I love her wherever she's at.
- 18:30I hope she's doing fantastic.
- 18:32who pour themselves into what they do and
- 18:34or take their jobs, their volunteer jobs,
- 18:37I should add, extremely seriously.
- 18:39And there's other guys who are more
- 18:41casual, but still take pride in it.
- 18:43And then there's everybody else who shows
- 18:45up to volunteer,
- 18:47and I'm going to do this job because
- 18:48I'm probably going to get some free stuff
- 18:50from it, a pair of shoes, a shirt.
- 18:55The spectator money from Legends last
- 18:58weekend
- 19:01was specifically to pay the judges so they
- 19:04were getting paid that doesn't mean that
- 19:05you're going to get fantastic judges every
- 19:07single time that means that you're going
- 19:08to get paid judges right it's a great
- 19:11first start it's a great step absolutely
- 19:14one hundred percent uh aside from one
- 19:16issue i had the rest of my weekend
- 19:18went fantastically smooth and i think it
- 19:21happens a lot and it it's not going
- 19:23to go away the higher up you get
- 19:26The pool is what the pool is, right?
- 19:29And people are human.
- 19:30And like you said,
- 19:31it happens in every single sport.
- 19:34So once you start adding in, you know,
- 19:36when you have a competition, the games,
- 19:39let's just say with that,
- 19:42especially now that the games are a thing,
- 19:45the masters are a thing, the, you know,
- 19:50If they're not all happening at the same
- 19:51time, then cool.
- 19:52Now they just got one heat or whatever
- 19:55it is, three heats of men,
- 19:56three heats of women to take care of.
- 19:58If you got the teams,
- 20:02you have probably need a couple of extra
- 20:04people because there might be two people
- 20:05doing something and two people doing
- 20:06something as far as teams are concerned.
- 20:09And again,
- 20:09as long as they don't have it on
- 20:10the same weekend,
- 20:11you might have the same quality of judges
- 20:13you had for the games,
- 20:15which they are very,
- 20:16very stringent from what I understand.
- 20:17You need to be a
- 20:20whatever here's my my big question you're
- 20:23kind of going down that path so i
- 20:24just i want to to bring it into
- 20:27this exact thing right so last year we
- 20:29had the games in albany on its own
- 20:31weekend and i didn't see a lot of
- 20:34like hey the judging was poor right no
- 20:39i didn't see any of that then we
- 20:40have the teens and the masters which are
- 20:45what eighteen divisions at the end of the
- 20:46day
- 20:50I'm not counting, but it's,
- 20:52but it's up there.
- 20:52Right.
- 20:53And you're going all day and you,
- 20:56so you're spreading your judges thinner.
- 20:58And I've been,
- 20:59I was told by a head judge at
- 21:00that event that they had people no show.
- 21:05Yeah.
- 21:05Right.
- 21:06So even thinner than what you wanted.
- 21:09And then I did see and hear about
- 21:11more egregious judging and
- 21:15Now we're taking those two entities and
- 21:17now we're adding adaptive in there too,
- 21:20which has its own set of rules and
- 21:22its own standards.
- 21:24And we're putting them all on the same
- 21:26weekend.
- 21:26We all have been touting how great it
- 21:28is that all these things are happening in
- 21:30the same weekend,
- 21:31which I still think is a great idea
- 21:34to have everybody in the same place at
- 21:36the same time and have this big festival
- 21:37feel.
- 21:38But what are we doing to the judging
- 21:40pool by doing that?
- 21:42Exhausting it.
- 21:44I mean, physically exhausting it.
- 21:46So think about when Chase and who was
- 21:50it?
- 21:50Chase and Bill did the Masters,
- 21:52not this past year, but year before last.
- 21:54And they called every single heat.
- 21:57So you're watching the same thing happen
- 22:00over and over and over again, right?
- 22:04There's only so many times you can look
- 22:05at something and say something about it.
- 22:07And I feel like it's the same type
- 22:08of relationship.
- 22:09If you are looking at something and you're
- 22:11trying to judge it the entire time,
- 22:12like it gets so just repetitive and I
- 22:16know they rotate them around and they try
- 22:18to give them breaks and all that other
- 22:19good stuff.
- 22:19And that's fantastic.
- 22:21But how much of that is going to
- 22:23matter at the end of it?
- 22:24And how many people you guys should be
- 22:26able to find that are like, yep,
- 22:28I'm going to come and.
- 22:29I'm going to do the masters at the
- 22:31beginning of the week.
- 22:32I'm going to do the teams.
- 22:33And then if they need me,
- 22:34I'm going to do the games as well.
- 22:36That is a lot, dude.
- 22:38And if you're not getting those for twelve
- 22:40during the day and you are looking at
- 22:42the same thing all day, it could really,
- 22:46really hamper the results of what you're
- 22:49getting.
- 22:50So again,
- 22:52to be a judge at the games,
- 22:54you are usually seminar staff.
- 22:57So it's a little bit different pool than
- 22:59the rest,
- 23:00but the fact that you're going now a
- 23:02full week of masters age masters, teens,
- 23:06and adaptive just seems like really crazy.
- 23:11Um,
- 23:13Mike DeVito, agreed,
- 23:13but often so egregious in CrossFit,
- 23:16but they are also usually volunteers,
- 23:17which is tough.
- 23:18The volunteer thing is tough,
- 23:20but there's a group that really want to
- 23:23be there and really want to do a
- 23:24good job.
- 23:25But I would argue that it's not more
- 23:27egregious in CrossFit.
- 23:28It's just because we're so passionate
- 23:30about this that we bring it up more.
- 23:32I watch football every Saturday and every
- 23:35Sunday.
- 23:35There are egregious calls there.
- 23:39I mean, watch anything on a Monday,
- 23:42and there's going to be roughing the
- 23:44quarterback calls that people are going to
- 23:46be livid about every Monday morning.
- 23:49January.
- 23:50January.
- 23:51January.
- 23:51January.
- 23:52January.
- 23:52January.
- 23:53January.
- 23:56January.
- 23:56January.
- 23:56January.
- 23:59January.
- 24:00January.
- 24:00January.
- 24:01January.
- 24:01January.
- 24:01January.
- 24:02January.
- 24:02January.
- 24:02January.
- 24:03January.
- 24:03January.
- 24:09It's insane.
- 24:11That's something you, like,
- 24:14it's six years later.
- 24:16We have a completely different coaching
- 24:17staff, completely different team.
- 24:19Like, Drew Brees is now talking, you know,
- 24:22is a talking head on TV nowadays and
- 24:23whatnot.
- 24:24It's a whole other thing,
- 24:25but it's burned into my brain because of
- 24:27that.
- 24:27And that guy got paid.
- 24:30Like, that guy's not a volunteer.
- 24:32That's a professional referee.
- 24:35may have another career not during
- 24:37football season i'm sure he does something
- 24:38else but that guy gets paid to be
- 24:41a referee so i try to my damnness
- 24:45especially if i'm competing to try and
- 24:47give whoever's judging me at whatever comp
- 24:50i'm at the benefit of the doubt that
- 24:52they are trying to do a good job
- 24:54happens
- 24:56Right now at the higher levels, when,
- 24:58when guys are trying to compete, you know,
- 25:00the Jason Hoppers and the Tia's and the,
- 25:03the whoever's of the world trying to be
- 25:05the fittest on earth.
- 25:07I think the game just doing probably a
- 25:09better job by having people that they
- 25:12implicitly trust,
- 25:13because there are people, like you said,
- 25:14that are not even, you know,
- 25:16whatever percentage it is,
- 25:17they are seminar staff, L threes,
- 25:19the whole nine yards that are used to
- 25:20seeing movement and know what quality
- 25:22movement looks like.
- 25:24But.
- 25:25It comes through the other stuff, right?
- 25:28That's why I think the,
- 25:30the initial purpose of the, what is it?
- 25:32The, the, what's the judging thing?
- 25:34The I F J or whatever it is.
- 25:38AFJ is a fantastic idea.
- 25:43And then the first thing that they had
- 25:45their name attached to, well,
- 25:46the first thing I saw they had had
- 25:47a name attached to was the,
- 25:50the semifinals that they had at mayhem.
- 25:52And then.
- 25:54Yep.
- 25:55But they,
- 25:56they have put together a structured
- 25:58judging educational track.
- 26:00Wayne, they did put together,
- 26:02they did it at water Palooza where they
- 26:04ran people through it and you would get
- 26:06like then certified through them.
- 26:08But yeah, but you,
- 26:11you can't then make a blunder like you
- 26:13made at mayhem and,
- 26:14and they're trying to come back from that.
- 26:16I don't know where they are now.
- 26:18I haven't talked to them since the games.
- 26:20But yeah,
- 26:22I don't know.
- 26:23Andrew Sten says, we've done it before.
- 26:25Many judges will do age groups and then
- 26:27do the teams at the games.
- 26:28I don't disagree with you, Andrew,
- 26:30and there are a group of you that
- 26:31are awesome.
- 26:33But because the teens and the adaptives
- 26:36are going at the same time,
- 26:38I just think it thins out your pool.
- 26:41And at the age groups in Columbus,
- 26:43you guys were so thin because you didn't
- 26:45have enough people.
- 26:48It's crazy.
- 26:50And it takes a special kind of person.
- 26:53I'm dogging on the system.
- 26:54It creates it.
- 26:57It takes a special person to be a
- 26:58judge, number one,
- 27:00just to be able to get out there
- 27:01and say,
- 27:02I'm going to put myself out there,
- 27:03be responsible for,
- 27:05because you're not just sitting out there
- 27:06counting.
- 27:07You can't be.
- 27:08You have to be somebody who has,
- 27:10like Andrew,
- 27:11who has a clinical mind and is looking
- 27:13and is going to be impartial and have
- 27:15enough balls to call people out when they
- 27:17do stuff that they're not supposed to do.
- 27:20And they need the support of the
- 27:21organization running the event to make the
- 27:24standard easy to judge.
- 27:26Yep.
- 27:28It's a whole thing that needs to work
- 27:30in tandem.
- 27:31Absolutely.
- 27:33Work all at the same time.
- 27:35I am sure tonight we're going to talk
- 27:37a lot about the GHD standard because that
- 27:39is a definite issue.
- 27:41Well,
- 27:43that's what we're going to talk about.
- 27:46And I know that is a thing that
- 27:48Carolyn has been pounding for.
- 27:50She's made parody videos.
- 27:53We're going to talk about that tonight.
- 27:56But the WFP is not making a standard
- 27:59easy to judge.
- 28:03JRHel made a great standard for the GHB
- 28:07that some people have adopted.
- 28:09I think Games adopted it, didn't they?
- 28:12They did.
- 28:14It's a piece of tape.
- 28:15Right.
- 28:19How hard is that?
- 28:20Yeah.
- 28:22So it's the whole system of judging,
- 28:25I think, is,
- 28:27and I've said this in the past,
- 28:28I think it's an afterthought when you're,
- 28:30for some people when they're organizing an
- 28:32event,
- 28:34when it should be one of the first
- 28:35things you think about.
- 28:37And when you're programming,
- 28:38how do I make it so it can
- 28:40be judged accordingly?
- 28:44It has to be.
- 28:45If it's not,
- 28:45you're doing a disservice to everybody who
- 28:47is showing up at your con.
- 28:49And if you have spectators,
- 28:51everybody who's spectating,
- 28:52because people in the crowd can see.
- 28:55People in the crowd can look and go,
- 28:58that dude didn't do a single rep.
- 29:00And his judge is just letting him go.
- 29:02I saw it myself.
- 29:04Seen it a couple different times at a
- 29:05couple different places.
- 29:07But he was just standing there, counting.
- 29:11You know, and it's not just me.
- 29:14It makes me feel better when I'm out
- 29:15on the floor or if I'm watching,
- 29:17you know, the next heat go,
- 29:18the next heat after that, whatever it is.
- 29:21And somebody else goes, well,
- 29:24he ain't did a rep yet.
- 29:26To know that I'm not crazy.
- 29:28Like, it's not just,
- 29:29I'm not nitpicking at whoever,
- 29:31that other people also can see it, right?
- 29:36When they see it, then I go, oh,
- 29:37okay, I'm cool.
- 29:39Y'all see what I see.
- 29:40Perfect.
- 29:42So on another subject,
- 29:44I have a little bit of a question
- 29:47for you that may turn into a riff.
- 29:49I don't know.
- 29:50We'll see.
- 29:52Andrew's got a comment that we'll put that
- 29:54up.
- 29:55Judging is often clearly an afterthought
- 30:02when people program and plan an event.
- 30:03Yep, yep, yep, exactly.
- 30:05A hundred percent.
- 30:08so before i was in media i was
- 30:12a volunteer and one of the things i
- 30:14would do after a competition would be run
- 30:17into an athlete and take a selfie with
- 30:20that athlete right because i was a big
- 30:24fan of the sport i was a volunteer
- 30:27i'd done my job for the weekend the
- 30:29event's over run into him in the hallway
- 30:31and i get a selfie with him
- 30:34And then it got to be this challenge.
- 30:35Could I get every games champion a selfie
- 30:38with them, right?
- 30:38And so I started doing all this stuff.
- 30:40And I was as bad as it comes
- 30:42when it comes to getting selfies with
- 30:44athletes.
- 30:46The minute I became media and actually got
- 30:50invited to come to events to cover it,
- 30:53I stopped that.
- 30:55It's like,
- 30:56I'm no longer like there to take selfies.
- 30:59I'm there to cover an event and to
- 31:02be as impartial as I can possibly be,
- 31:04which is really impossible in this sport
- 31:07because you, no matter what you are,
- 31:11you're going to become friends with some
- 31:13of the,
- 31:14the athletes and it is what it is.
- 31:16But I didn't want that perception out
- 31:18there that like,
- 31:19I'm hanging out with these people and
- 31:20getting selfies and fanboying and then
- 31:23being a person.
- 31:24Right.
- 31:26And I look at some people who,
- 31:31after an event,
- 31:33their recap is selfies with everybody.
- 31:42And they're in the media space.
- 31:43Yeah.
- 31:46So I'm anxious to see what the chat
- 31:47has to say.
- 31:48I'm anxious to hear what you have to
- 31:49say.
- 31:51When you see that, does that make you...
- 31:56not buy into their storytelling as much as
- 32:02someone who doesn't do that it's called
- 32:05professionalism scott if you're going to
- 32:09put yourself out there as being a media
- 32:11person and you on your podcast on your
- 32:14blog whatever whatever it is that you have
- 32:17presenting yourself as a new source then
- 32:20it's your job to be professional and to
- 32:22try to be impartial and if all it
- 32:24is that that
- 32:27I just got a picture with this guy
- 32:28and I just got a picture with this
- 32:29guy.
- 32:29No, you did so well and blah, blah,
- 32:31blah, whatever.
- 32:31Instead of asking them pertinent questions
- 32:34or getting the story that you're actually
- 32:38asking and not, you know,
- 32:41just talking to them because you're
- 32:42friends with them or you feel like you
- 32:44are, then no,
- 32:46you're not being professional whatsoever.
- 32:48And I'm not going to pay attention to
- 32:50what you have to say because there's
- 32:51nothing there.
- 32:52It's not an actual story.
- 32:53That's fluff at that point.
- 32:55And I want to be clear.
- 32:57If I see you in an event and
- 32:58we're friends,
- 33:02and we're just documenting that, hey,
- 33:03we got to spend time together,
- 33:05that's cool.
- 33:06I'm talking about people competing for the
- 33:08biggest prizes on the floor.
- 33:13And what I find is most of the
- 33:16people doing this are the people
- 33:18associated with the WFP.
- 33:22And it goes on to portray this image
- 33:27that they are putting out there that it's
- 33:30a club that they all get to hang
- 33:32out because someone gave them a blank,
- 33:35blank check.
- 33:39Double blank check.
- 33:40Right.
- 33:42And with that,
- 33:43it's now like their club that they get
- 33:45to hang out in and, hey,
- 33:47let's take some selfies to document this.
- 33:52And then file that away with, hey,
- 33:54here's us on a boat.
- 33:56Hey, here's us on the beach.
- 33:59Here's us in a bar.
- 34:00Here's blah, blah, whatever, right?
- 34:02Whatever the case may be, yeah.
- 34:04Right.
- 34:05And then you recap your weekend and your
- 34:08storytelling.
- 34:11And especially if you were in charge of
- 34:13storytelling...
- 34:17And your recap of the weekend are selfies
- 34:20with all the people you hung out with
- 34:21that weekend.
- 34:23Well, at that point,
- 34:23it becomes your story and not their story.
- 34:30Right?
- 34:32So if I'm just posting pictures of me
- 34:35and...
- 34:36know pick somebody right just me and james
- 34:39sprague all weekend and oh i caught james
- 34:41in the lobby and here's me and james
- 34:42having dinner here's me and james doing
- 34:44whatever then it's my story at that point
- 34:46it's not james's story it's not what james
- 34:48did it's what corey and james did or
- 34:52what corey did because i am if i
- 34:54am media then that's not telling this
- 34:57story that's telling your story of how you
- 34:59happen to cross it i think that's why
- 35:04in Hiller's hair,
- 35:05so I'm going to go ahead and stroke
- 35:07his ego a little bit.
- 35:08But I think that's why people like
- 35:10Hiller's videos with the athletes so much
- 35:12is because it's not about Hiller.
- 35:14He actually makes it about people that
- 35:17he's going to see and going to work
- 35:19out with.
- 35:20He asks them pertinent questions about
- 35:22what they're doing.
- 35:25And if you are not doing that,
- 35:28and if you're saying,
- 35:29this is what we did,
- 35:30this is what I did,
- 35:31this is what
- 35:34And that that's not a story about other
- 35:35people.
- 35:36That's a story about you featuring other
- 35:38people.
- 35:40What's the that's maybe cloud chasing.
- 35:43I guess it's probably a good,
- 35:44a good word at that point.
- 35:51These are fine, right?
- 35:52These are like your, your friends,
- 35:54your coworkers, whatever.
- 35:56Yeah.
- 35:57It's it's when it gets to, um,
- 36:01the athlete stuff.
- 36:09right when it goes to like the athletes
- 36:14that you're hanging out with right are you
- 36:26covering you or are you covering the
- 36:28athletes so is that a product of
- 36:39or the athletes by the athletes.
- 36:45Wayne says,
- 36:46when was the last time the buttery bros
- 36:47did a feature on an up and coming
- 36:48athlete?
- 36:49It's just their buddies recycled over and
- 36:51over again.
- 36:52That's a great point.
- 36:56Brian Friend did a video this morning that
- 36:57Hiller brought up in his live where he
- 37:00talks about where the state of fitness,
- 37:04competitive fitness is at, right?
- 37:06And that this is giving up and coming
- 37:08athletes all the opportunities in the
- 37:10world.
- 37:12But what was the last video that WFP
- 37:14did or the Buttery Bros who are hired
- 37:16by the WFP did where it was about
- 37:19an up and coming athlete?
- 37:23You got me.
- 37:26It's all about the people you've already
- 37:27met and have known through the CrossFit
- 37:29game season.
- 37:31Not the new athletes coming up that
- 37:33they're touting that this is the
- 37:34opportunity for them to get out there.
- 37:38It's like the people who got in because
- 37:40other people dropped out that nobody knows
- 37:42who they are.
- 37:45Why are we not talking about them?
- 37:47Give their story.
- 37:48Hey, man, this guy made it in.
- 37:50He has an opportunity to do something,
- 37:53try to make a name for himself.
- 37:54No one knows who these people are.
- 37:56They just don't.
- 37:58At AI, if you post stuff like that,
- 38:01it's to say, look what I did, right?
- 38:05Yeah.
- 38:07Wayne,
- 38:07so much media could have been done around
- 38:08Lydia Fish this past weekend.
- 38:10Nothing.
- 38:11There's so many new athletes in there.
- 38:15Hannah Black, Lydia Fish.
- 38:18I mean,
- 38:18there were a bunch of men I didn't
- 38:21really even know.
- 38:23Troy McClure,
- 38:24or whatever his last name actually is.
- 38:27No idea who that dude is.
- 38:29They could have done a little,
- 38:30they could have done a, like an interview.
- 38:33What's the opportunity to come here
- 38:35because of these withdrawals?
- 38:37What is like this?
- 38:40I think, and I've said this before,
- 38:43the storylines that are missed by this
- 38:45group of people are immense.
- 38:48Yeah.
- 38:49There's so many storylines and we just get
- 38:50the same regurgitated after event
- 38:53interview from Laura or from all the top
- 38:57dog athletes.
- 38:59That is the same.
- 39:00We get every time someone's interviewing
- 39:02someone on the floor.
- 39:07Rinse and repeat.
- 39:10Wash, rinse, repeat.
- 39:14I don't know.
- 39:15I don't get it.
- 39:15I don't get it.
- 39:16Um,
- 39:24People talk about critical thinking until
- 39:26it comes to obvious things like who are
- 39:28they actually leveraging and why?
- 39:34Ed AI says, careful, Scott,
- 39:36you'll offend PC.
- 39:37I think I've already done that.
- 39:38It's not hard to do.
- 39:39No.
- 39:39It's not hard to do.
- 39:45That's the other thing that gets me about
- 39:49this whole WFP thing off the floor.
- 39:52And that is,
- 39:55the defense of it is getting more energy
- 40:00than actually promoting it.
- 40:06You know what I'm saying?
- 40:07Yes.
- 40:07No, that makes so much sense.
- 40:10They're expending way more energy
- 40:13defending their stuff than they put forth
- 40:17promoting their stuff.
- 40:21And that would be a much better use
- 40:23of their time.
- 40:25promoting their stuff it's putting out
- 40:27quality content reactive instead of
- 40:29proactive correct instead of you know oh
- 40:35hillar just said this or scott just said
- 40:38this or seven whatever the case is in
- 40:40the next six hours in um in the
- 40:43comment sections defending everything
- 40:46rather than like putting together a
- 40:48promotional video
- 40:50instead of yes instead of going okay well
- 40:53what can we do to make this video
- 40:55better what can we do to make this
- 40:56new thing that's coming out better how
- 40:59does it look does it look okay is
- 41:00it sound okay this does the audio overlap
- 41:04at any point where you get you know
- 41:06ten seconds where it does you can't make
- 41:07out anything it actually says uh why not
- 41:12fix that and just leave the rest of
- 41:14it alone
- 41:16Right.
- 41:17If you keep poking at a scab and
- 41:20keep picking at it,
- 41:20it's not going to get any better as
- 41:22opposed to if you just let it be
- 41:26and then focus on the things that are
- 41:27actually important.
- 41:30I watched Amanda Harry's recap this
- 41:32morning,
- 41:33and I think there's a fundamental flaw in
- 41:36what they've done that created the video
- 41:39she put out there.
- 41:41She said there was no talk about the
- 41:45finishing places for this event.
- 41:47It was all about the season-long thing.
- 41:51And the reason that that is so far
- 41:54off is because they never explained what
- 41:57this tour meant.
- 42:01so everybody is trying to fit it into
- 42:03the conventional crossfit scoring box of
- 42:06each event is a standalone event when the
- 42:10truth is the entire entity is one event
- 42:15you just put it on pause a couple
- 42:17times and come back to it and because
- 42:20they didn't do that for the first two
- 42:25it confused everybody because they named
- 42:27podiums.
- 42:28They named winners for tour stops one and
- 42:30tour stops two.
- 42:32And then there was no prize money for
- 42:34winning the final stop.
- 42:36It was all about the tour instead of
- 42:40the event.
- 42:42And they never explained that.
- 42:49And still haven't.
- 42:51And it's over with for the year.
- 42:53Right.
- 42:55It took till midway through the weekend to
- 42:57put a red line on who gets a
- 42:59pro card.
- 43:00And we've been bitching about that for
- 43:02months.
- 43:04Since, at least since doorstop.
- 43:08That leaderboard months ago with a red
- 43:12line just to show people above get one,
- 43:15people below don't.
- 43:21We do have some positives to talk about
- 43:22tonight with the WFP.
- 43:26So tune in for that.
- 43:29I do think I have a small solution
- 43:31to their problem if they're willing to
- 43:33make changes.
- 43:36And I put it into a pencil, pen,
- 43:38or Sharpie.
- 43:40So I'll let you think about it for
- 43:41a little bit and then tonight when we
- 43:42bring it up.
- 43:44But I think it should be flipped to
- 43:45a European tour with one U.S.
- 43:50stop.
- 43:52And then when they get it right,
- 43:54then they maybe expand it a little bit
- 43:56more.
- 43:58But I think the only way to sustain
- 44:00it is to make it a European tour.
- 44:02Yeah, I'm not going to argue with you.
- 44:11I'm not going to argue with you at
- 44:12all.
- 44:12But the downside is, I believe right now,
- 44:17and Hiller's made a great point of this,
- 44:20The two best female athletes are in two
- 44:22different segments.
- 44:24And we are cheated by not getting to
- 44:26see them go head-to-head.
- 44:33That's a hard fact.
- 44:35That's a hard fact.
- 44:36Can you imagine if James Sprague and
- 44:39Dallin Pepper were in one league and Jason
- 44:42Hopper and Ricky Garrard and Roman
- 44:45Krennikoff were in another league?
- 44:48We would be pissed.
- 44:54You're diluting the pool.
- 44:58You're not allowing the best product to be
- 45:00on the field at that point.
- 45:03To be able to see the races that
- 45:04everybody wants to see.
- 45:07Jake says,
- 45:08EFP doesn't sound as good though.
- 45:10You can still call it WFP because you
- 45:11have one tour stop in the US.
- 45:13But rather than have one in Europe and
- 45:15the rest in the US, flip it.
- 45:19It's a separate majority in Europe and one
- 45:21in us.
- 45:22And it's still the world fitness project,
- 45:25but you're in a place.
- 45:26Yeah.
- 45:26Here's the thing.
- 45:29I don't think anybody over there on Will's
- 45:32entire team has ever heard of Occam's
- 45:34razor where the simplest answer is usually
- 45:36the right one.
- 45:37Like, I don't think,
- 45:38I don't think they're familiar with that
- 45:39concept because that's literally what it
- 45:41is.
- 45:41It's like, Hey,
- 45:42the two stops you made here,
- 45:44nobody showed up to watch.
- 45:46Because nobody understands the tour
- 45:47concept in the U S correct.
- 45:50In, in Europe,
- 45:51a lot of sports go by the tour
- 45:53concept,
- 45:54so they understand the premise better.
- 45:56Yeah, that's what I'm getting at it,
- 46:00but that's, that's,
- 46:01there's the reason why.
- 46:03So just flip what you're doing and then
- 46:05once you have enough traction and once the
- 46:07people over here are actually sitting
- 46:09there and watching it and
- 46:11And man,
- 46:11I wish we had another one over here
- 46:12because now that I understand what's going
- 46:14on, the one is fantastic.
- 46:16But man, if we just had two,
- 46:17then you can do that.
- 46:21Give it to the people who actually want
- 46:23to understand it,
- 46:26whatever you want to call it.
- 46:29Not just Europe,
- 46:29most other sports globally travel.
- 46:32I understand, Jake.
- 46:33I'm just saying that
- 46:36Maybe add Australia, Australia, Europe,
- 46:39and then one U.S.
- 46:40stop.
- 46:41Go to where the hotbeds of CrossFit are.
- 46:45And you're right.
- 46:45The world understands the tour concept
- 46:47much better than the U.S.
- 46:49Absolutely.
- 46:55I just say Europe because every time
- 46:56there's a CrossFit event in Europe,
- 46:58people tend to show up.
- 47:02It's the same in Australia as well.
- 47:06But I say, if they went to Australia,
- 47:07dude,
- 47:08and actually had it promoted half-ass
- 47:11well.
- 47:12I mean, the Australians show up.
- 47:13Look at Torian every year.
- 47:17I mean, that's a show.
- 47:19That is an absolute circus.
- 47:20And it's amazing to watch.
- 47:22Just from my perspective,
- 47:23watching it on my laptop is fantastic.
- 47:27Take that energy from there,
- 47:29and you can inject it into your tour
- 47:31stop in Australia.
- 47:32And holy smokes, hey,
- 47:34you got a blank check.
- 47:37So I know that's not the problem.
- 47:38So why not go there?
- 47:41As opposed to here where it's already hard
- 47:43to get people to attend functional fitness
- 47:47events,
- 47:48semifinals are hard to get people in the
- 47:51door because there's so much stuff to go
- 47:53to.
- 47:53There's so many things to go on that
- 47:55go on that it's already hard to get
- 47:57people here.
- 47:58And now you just added two more things.
- 48:01It's a lot, man.
- 48:02It's a whole lot.
- 48:03As opposed to giving
- 48:05giving more to you know places that are
- 48:08i'll say underserved because i mean we've
- 48:09got torian and the down order
- 48:11championships in australia but i think
- 48:13adding one more thing to their their stuff
- 48:15would probably be a lot better than adding
- 48:16two more here for now grow it right
- 48:23once people start selling out semifinals
- 48:28then you have more of an opportunity to
- 48:30get people to show up for your thing.
- 48:33Right.
- 48:33Once, once,
- 48:35once the WFP starts selling out tour
- 48:36events, then now you're, you're,
- 48:41you're promoting the event in a better
- 48:42way.
- 48:44And I understand that other countries and
- 48:46other continents understand this concept,
- 48:50but they don't show up to fitness events.
- 48:54The Asian events have not had the turnout
- 48:57that Europe and Australia have had.
- 49:05Do you think it would be a political
- 49:07statement if they went to a nation the
- 49:08U.S.
- 49:09is in trouble with?
- 49:09Those are details I haven't even thought
- 49:13of yet, Ed.
- 49:15No.
- 49:16I'm just trying to think,
- 49:17how do you get people to show up
- 49:19and make it look like it's really an
- 49:21event?
- 49:22Because when nobody shows up and the seats
- 49:25are empty, I don't know.
- 49:32It doesn't look good for your event.
- 49:34It looks like nobody gives a shit.
- 49:38Let me address this because Jake's going
- 49:40to keep saying it until we don't.
- 49:43Zlatan Ibrahimovic is one of the
- 49:45biggest...
- 49:47Former footballers on the Facebook.
- 49:49We can review, though.
- 49:51Yeah.
- 49:53I want to agree with Jake.
- 49:55If Zlatan signs up to do the open,
- 50:00it would be a big deal.
- 50:01And because he's going to talk about it,
- 50:02it's going to be on his YouTube.
- 50:03It's going to be on his Instagram,
- 50:04whatever.
- 50:05And that would be to date the biggest
- 50:08person,
- 50:09the biggest celebrity we've ever had.
- 50:11Like bigger than the wrestler,
- 50:13whoever it was that Seth Rollins.
- 50:15Right.
- 50:17Bigger than Seth Rollins.
- 50:19Bigger than Seth Rollins.
- 50:20By far.
- 50:23Chicago Bear fans, Seth Rollins.
- 50:26Yes, Chicago Bear fans.
- 50:28You know who Zlatan is a fan of?
- 50:30Zlatan.
- 50:31He is a... I know who Zlatan is.
- 50:35In and of himself.
- 50:37And on the world stage,
- 50:40and that's what Jake's talking about,
- 50:41on the world stage, dude,
- 50:43that would be a huge deal.
- 50:45Huge deal.
- 50:47And people would sign up specifically
- 50:48because Laden did.
- 50:50I firmly believe that.
- 50:52But you need to make sure that he's
- 50:53actually doing CrossFit,
- 50:54which is what Dave said yesterday on this
- 50:56week in review.
- 50:57Just because it looks like it doesn't mean
- 50:59you're really doing CrossFit.
- 51:01Correct.
- 51:04No, I agree with that.
- 51:06If he in fact is doing CrossFit,
- 51:09he would love to use him to promote
- 51:10an open event or whatever.
- 51:13But you need to make sure that he
- 51:14is.
- 51:23he would probably not promote CrossFit
- 51:25unless he got something from it.
- 51:28That dude's got a bazillion dollars.
- 51:31I don't think that's a...
- 51:34What Zlatan loves more than anything else
- 51:36is Zlatan and attention.
- 51:39And he'd get plenty of that if he
- 51:41were to sign up for that.
- 51:43I'd say they're not going to pay him
- 51:44something, whatever the case may be.
- 51:47But I think if you appeal to him
- 51:49in the correct way,
- 51:51which is stroking his ego,
- 51:55he'd be fantastic for the sport.
- 51:58Well, he'd be something for the sport.
- 52:02That's for certain.
- 52:04Yeah,
- 52:05he just has to have better technique than
- 52:06Charles Barkley before we start posting.
- 52:08It's not hard to do.
- 52:20That's okay.
- 52:24Love it.
- 52:24Zlatan doesn't do CrossFit.
- 52:26CrossFit does Zlatan.
- 52:30Okay.
- 52:32He's got a million of them like that,
- 52:33dude.
- 52:34He has an absolute million of them.
- 52:37I'm sure.
- 52:39All right, guys.
- 52:39Well, that's the show for today.
- 52:43We'll be back tomorrow for sure,
- 52:45off for Christmas and then back on Friday.
- 52:49And we'll be here tonight at six thirty
- 52:51p.m.
- 52:51Eastern Time to knock out our Sunday night
- 52:55show that kept getting delayed because of
- 52:57my travels.
- 52:59And we will break down the WFP and
- 53:04actually talk about the positives.
- 53:06um,
- 53:07that we saw from that as well as
- 53:09we're not calling them negatives.
- 53:10We're calling them, um,
- 53:13points that need to get better action
- 53:16items.
- 53:17There we go.
- 53:20Cause we're in that season where like you
- 53:23say, okay,
- 53:23this is an action item and we'll talk
- 53:25about it when we get back after the
- 53:26holidays.
- 53:28It's an action item.
- 53:29We got a note on the calendar,
- 53:30January two, we will have a discussion.
- 53:33We'll swing back around to that after the
- 53:34holidays.
- 53:39I mean, if I've heard that phrase once,
- 53:40I've heard it seven hundred times in the
- 53:42last week.
- 53:43Oh, yeah.
- 53:45And let's just put that to the side
- 53:47and we'll swing back around that after the
- 53:49holidays.
- 53:50I'm going to call you back after the
- 53:51holidays.
- 53:53In my business, that's not a good thing.
- 53:55No, don't call me back after the holidays.
- 53:56Let's get it taken care of right now.
- 54:00On the same note,
- 54:00which famous actor would get CrossFit
- 54:02notoriety worldwide if they promoted the
- 54:04Open?
- 54:06Whoever's hot right now.
- 54:07It really doesn't matter.
- 54:15Somebody, it had to be somebody,
- 54:17what's that?
- 54:21It had to be somebody lovable.
- 54:24Like, you know what I'm saying?
- 54:25Not like polarizing somebody who like
- 54:27everybody can get behind.
- 54:29So thinking, think like Tom Cruise.
- 54:35Oh gosh, what's his name?
- 54:40It can't be a has been like,
- 54:41it has to be someone Jack coming up.
- 54:46Yeah.
- 54:47Not like, and not,
- 54:48not like the rock Jack,
- 54:50like that's too much.
- 54:52No.
- 54:53Oh, what is his name?
- 54:56No, not Will Smith.
- 54:58Will Smith is probably not the one you
- 54:59want to talk to about anything right now.
- 55:02Uh, Chris Pratt.
- 55:04We'll think about that and we'll,
- 55:05we'll circle back around to that tomorrow.
- 55:10All right, guys.
- 55:13We will see you then tonight at six
- 55:15thirty p.m.
- 55:16Eastern time.
- 55:17Don't forget to like and subscribe to the
- 55:18channel.
- 55:19Really helps out.
- 55:20Yeah.
- 55:20Glenn Powell's a good one.
- 55:21Glenn Powell's a good one.
- 55:23We will see you all then.
- 55:25Thank you so much.
- 55:27See you at six thirty.
- 55:27Bye, guys.
