- 0:00SPEAKER_03: Right, right.
- 0:00SPEAKER_03: Good evening.
- 0:01SPEAKER_03: Good evening, Chris.
- 0:04SPEAKER_06: After last week.
- 0:05SPEAKER_03: Are we uh all alright after our weekend?
- 0:08SPEAKER_06: Just about, yeah.
- 0:09SPEAKER_03: Are we giving him a man of the match?
- 0:11SPEAKER_03: No, not the man of the match award, but we're giving him a lot of praise for Saturday game on Saturday.
- 0:17SPEAKER_06: Saturday.
- 0:17SPEAKER_06: Sunday.
- 0:18SPEAKER_06: Sunday, yeah.
- 0:19SPEAKER_06: He plays himself down a bit, I think, does he?
- 0:21SPEAKER_03: Well, let's get it right.
- 0:22SPEAKER_03: I had to arrange all the travel.
- 0:24SPEAKER_03: What book in a second?
- 0:26SPEAKER_03: The minute we jumped into the wrong drink.
- 0:27SPEAKER_03: The minute we jumped into Glasgow.
- 0:29SPEAKER_03: The minute we jumped into Glasgow, the armband came on and can't fault it.
- 0:33SPEAKER_06: Can't fault it now.
- 0:35SPEAKER_06: Regarding the game though, just the lounge and the tickets and the food and the drink and everything was just top drawing.
- 0:41SPEAKER_06: We were in there with some big hitters, weren't we?
- 0:43SPEAKER_06: John Collins.
- 0:44SPEAKER_06: John Collins, the Scotland manager.
- 0:47SPEAKER_06: The Scotland manager was a threat.
- 0:48SPEAKER_06: But just how everyone in the ground was when they seen him, weren't they?
- 0:50SPEAKER_06: We were pleased to see him and stuff.
- 0:51SPEAKER_06: It was nice to see.
- 0:52SPEAKER_06: So yeah, it was a very, very good day.
- 0:55SPEAKER_06: But were the only two invited back?
- 0:57SPEAKER_06: Alright, because we're good luck, aren't we?
- 0:58SPEAKER_06: Good luck.
- 0:59SPEAKER_06: Not a bad one.
- 1:00SPEAKER_03: Bad game, wasn't it?
- 1:02SPEAKER_03: It could have been no, it's not like it deserved to win and piss it.
- 1:04SPEAKER_03: But it's a terrible first game.
- 1:06SPEAKER_03: It could have been like 12-5.
- 1:07SPEAKER_04: It was that good a game.
- 1:08SPEAKER_04: It was a weird game, wasn't it?
- 1:10SPEAKER_04: Like fantasy football, really.
- 1:11SPEAKER_04: Like hearts like had a lot of the ball been open.
- 1:14SPEAKER_04: You can see why one bad being done in Europe and stuff.
- 1:17SPEAKER_04: That open.
- 1:18SPEAKER_04: Yes.
- 1:19SPEAKER_04: So two passes and you can get in the box.
- 1:21SPEAKER_04: But on the flip side, if you are open and expansive, they're deadly, aren't they?
- 1:25SPEAKER_04: With the boy Duran and Negren and stuff.
- 1:27SPEAKER_04: Do you think Martin?
- 1:29SPEAKER_03: Use a bit of players, go and win 5-4, or go and win.
- 1:32SPEAKER_04: Or do you think there's a bit?
- 1:33SPEAKER_04: I think there's a wee bit more like with Foreignham and Maloney.
- 1:37SPEAKER_04: I think there is a bit more structure and how they want to play.
- 1:41SPEAKER_04: But O'Neill wants to he likes it.
- 1:43SPEAKER_04: It kind of looked like 4-4-2, didn't it?
- 1:45SPEAKER_04: I didn't know.
- 1:46SPEAKER_04: Old school.
- 1:47SPEAKER_04: It is old school, but again, when it comes good, they can batter teams.
- 1:51SPEAKER_04: But the three games before that, they get beat.
- 1:53SPEAKER_04: Do you know what I mean?
- 1:54SPEAKER_04: Against Rangers a couple of times.
- 1:55SPEAKER_04: So and then Jutta came on, looked a level above, didn't he?
- 1:59SPEAKER_06: Short button, wasn't he?
- 1:59SPEAKER_06: He's taking the pistol, isn't he?
- 2:00SPEAKER_06: I think the defender slipped as well though for that little clip.
- 2:03SPEAKER_04: He never he died, Rob.
- 2:04SPEAKER_04: You know what he dived in.
- 2:05SPEAKER_04: Tell me when he's on the phone.
- 2:06SPEAKER_04: If you're that boy and you see them putting that up, have you seen it?
- 2:09SPEAKER_04: He goes, Wee it's quality.
- 2:12SPEAKER_04: There's guys in the background that celebrating it like a goal in the seats.
- 2:16SPEAKER_03: I don't know if anyone's been I've never been to Celtic Park, and that the stadium needs to be in the Premier League, like top, innit?
- 2:23SPEAKER_03: Reminders of old Trafford.
- 2:24SPEAKER_03: Do you know?
- 2:26SPEAKER_03: Old Trafford dugouts, they've got that wall.
- 2:27SPEAKER_03: Oh, yeah.
- 2:28SPEAKER_03: We were just like that, weren't we?
- 2:29SPEAKER_03: It was quality.
- 2:30SPEAKER_06: Uh both fullbacks are very good.
- 2:32SPEAKER_06: Tierney and Donovan.
- 2:33SPEAKER_06: He's only he's only a young kid.
- 2:35SPEAKER_03: So when you look at Tierney for Arsenal and that, I know he's a great player, but people say he's ordinary, don't you?
- 2:40SPEAKER_03: In that game the other day, what that's what happens when you go and see live football.
- 2:44SPEAKER_03: You see the scanning, you see the body manipulation, you see the ball manipulation, like the centre midfielder, wasn't he?
- 2:49SPEAKER_03: Physically as well, didn't it?
- 2:51SPEAKER_04: You see like the specimen, isn't he?
- 2:53SPEAKER_04: And the right back, 19.
- 2:55SPEAKER_04: He's just a for me, he just looks like a Keunty, isn't he?
- 2:59SPEAKER_04: Just years later.
- 3:00SPEAKER_04: Oh, does he?
- 3:01SPEAKER_04: I mean just that physically strong, up and down, knows what it means.
- 3:06SPEAKER_04: Celtic boy, came through the youth.
- 3:08SPEAKER_04: Fans love him.
- 3:08SPEAKER_04: Do you mean he runs through a brick wall?
- 3:10SPEAKER_04: So it wouldn't surprise me.
- 3:12SPEAKER_04: He's been in the Scotland squad recently, and if he keeps it up in another year or two, I'm not saying he's going to Arsenal.
- 3:18SPEAKER_04: But I think there'll be teams looking at him special downside.
- 3:21SPEAKER_03: So 11 half eleven train up there.
- 3:24SPEAKER_03: You missed your breakfast, didn't you?
- 3:26SPEAKER_04: Well, Lloyd was shot.
- 3:27SPEAKER_04: So we had to go in wood drawers, didn't we?
- 3:29SPEAKER_04: Then there was a queue and we missed it.
- 3:30SPEAKER_04: So Skip was you were a bit worried, weren't you?
- 3:33SPEAKER_04: Because we got on the train, ready to have a few drinks, and he's not had any breakfast, so made off it though.
- 3:38SPEAKER_04: Alright.
- 3:38SPEAKER_04: I had plenty to eat in the ground.
- 3:40SPEAKER_04: Yeah, so then what his promise is, yeah.
- 3:42SPEAKER_03: Name the bars quickly.
- 3:43SPEAKER_04: We went into Gracie's.
- 3:44SPEAKER_04: Gracie's Merchant City.
- 3:46SPEAKER_06: Merchant City and Proper Celtic probably and then the taxi to the ground.
- 3:50SPEAKER_06: Oh god, yeah.
- 3:52SPEAKER_04: We have got a video, but we simply can't put him up.
- 3:54SPEAKER_04: I think we put a picture up.
- 3:56SPEAKER_04: Do you?
- 3:56SPEAKER_04: Just that just summed up the full Glasgow experience.
- 4:00SPEAKER_04: He was wild in.
- 4:02SPEAKER_06: Wild.
- 4:03SPEAKER_06: Wild.
- 4:04SPEAKER_06: Bro.
- 4:04SPEAKER_06: Put it this way, he couldn't talk without his false teeth falling up.
- 4:07SPEAKER_06: Could he?
- 4:09SPEAKER_06: And then he put them on his head.
- 4:13SPEAKER_06: Oh, he was calling him.
- 4:14SPEAKER_03: I think his jaw had a set of taxi first.
- 4:16SPEAKER_06: I think he was in a different world, wasn't he?
- 4:18SPEAKER_04: He was too, it was honestly duracell.
- 4:21SPEAKER_04: Anyway.
- 4:21SPEAKER_04: No, it was funny though, like he he was talking to you as if he's from Edinburgh.
- 4:24SPEAKER_04: But I'd heard him just before, and I was like, he's Glaswegian.
- 4:27SPEAKER_04: He was testing us on a few weeks.
- 4:29SPEAKER_06: He tested you as he was like you knew to tell the difference.
- 4:31SPEAKER_06: I can't.
- 4:31SPEAKER_04: No, he was kidding on he's from Edinburgh, and I was like, You don't like you're Glaswegian?
- 4:35SPEAKER_04: He was like, Ah like chatting away and stuff, but he was funny.
- 4:38SPEAKER_06: It was a funny five, ten minutes ago.
- 4:39SPEAKER_06: Yeah, works offshore, he needs to.
- 4:41SPEAKER_06: He needs that he needs that month.
- 4:43SPEAKER_06: Three weeks, month on going to recover.
- 4:45SPEAKER_03: Could you imagine being stuck going?
- 4:48SPEAKER_03: Imagine getting in prison with him.
- 4:50SPEAKER_03: Anyway, yeah, so up to the match afterwards, Wonder Bar.
- 4:56SPEAKER_03: We went to Gray C's again back.
- 4:58SPEAKER_04: They bars, didn't we?
- 4:59SPEAKER_04: And then we walked away around Wonder Bar.
- 5:01SPEAKER_04: Um and then yeah, train one it's a bit on corners, didn't we?
- 5:06SPEAKER_03: When everyone was wondering why we're celebrating.
- 5:08SPEAKER_03: Because we got corners near the end, we're like, one more corners.
- 5:16SPEAKER_03: And then when wingers are cutting back, knocking off.
- 5:20SPEAKER_03: Yeah, so brilliant.
- 5:21SPEAKER_03: And episode 37.
- 5:25SPEAKER_03: 38, then one of them.
- 5:46SPEAKER_03: Right, as you can see, we have got some meals prepared for us from Jack Lettuce.
- 5:53SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 5:53SPEAKER_03: And I've got a burrito in the car.
- 5:55SPEAKER_03: Oh, that's good.
- 5:56SPEAKER_03: There's no way you're getting that.
- 5:57SPEAKER_03: It looks absolutely.
- 5:58SPEAKER_06: So you've picked before, we've got it.
- 6:00SPEAKER_06: To be fair, I've heard really good things about this place, so I'm looking forward to trying them.
- 6:03SPEAKER_06: You've got chili for me.
- 6:04SPEAKER_06: Chili beef skip what you're taking home.
- 6:06SPEAKER_06: Well, I'm taking two because you're having one.
- 6:08SPEAKER_06: I've got uh Jeff, you're not taking one?
- 6:12SPEAKER_06: No, he's not taking it.
- 6:13SPEAKER_06: No, he's not right.
- 6:13SPEAKER_06: Jeff asked us this again.
- 6:14SPEAKER_06: The quiz master, he's not getting out.
- 6:16SPEAKER_06: Right, so one's from a tea and one's for my dinner tomorrow, so I'll let you know.
- 6:19SPEAKER_06: But they look very, very good.
- 6:20SPEAKER_03: Yeah, and as I said, there's people.
- 6:23SPEAKER_03: I'm gonna read a bit out of them, but the the gym goers, but there's also people now, like say someone from the gym's bought the grandma or something, and it saves the cooking.
- 6:32SPEAKER_03: Yeah, and it's all got the healthy stuff.
- 6:33SPEAKER_03: So, an idea that started between Kez, Shaw, and Ellis in the gym, and the importance of diet, and it grew from there.
- 6:40SPEAKER_03: Using the best and freshest ingredients from local suppliers, all meals are high protein, low calorie, and macro counted.
- 6:47SPEAKER_03: Convenience food with fitness principles ran by local people who want to support the community with affordable meal prep, whether it's weight loss, fitness, or just improving your diet.
- 6:56SPEAKER_03: They also sponsor Morgan Feeney by giving him plenty of grub.
- 7:00SPEAKER_03: Good.
- 7:00SPEAKER_03: So, yeah, they came around before.
- 7:02SPEAKER_03: Fantastic, good portions, yeah.
- 7:04SPEAKER_03: Looking forward to it.
- 7:04SPEAKER_03: We know Ellis, don't we, as well?
- 7:06SPEAKER_03: Yeah, Ellis, yeah.
- 7:06SPEAKER_03: Good footballer over the years.
- 7:08SPEAKER_03: He was, he was.
- 7:08SPEAKER_03: Um the raffle, if you see in front of us on YouTube, we've got Ella Toon's boots on show.
- 7:14SPEAKER_03: We've got the Man United training top signed with all the authenticity with the players who signed it.
- 7:20SPEAKER_03: We've got the DSD top behind us signed.
- 7:22SPEAKER_06: I'll take the stuff at home as well.
- 7:24SPEAKER_06: The the vouchers for the old bank and the massage and stuff and the other footy tops.
- 7:28SPEAKER_03: So yeah, we've got plenty going on.
- 7:29SPEAKER_03: We're gonna put a cap on it two weeks, and then we're gonna draw it.
- 7:33SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 7:34SPEAKER_03: Um, and then we'll go into what we're gonna do.
- 7:36SPEAKER_03: But thank you for all your support, it's been amazing.
- 7:38SPEAKER_03: Um, we'll put another link up in the next day or two.
- 7:41SPEAKER_03: We're gonna we had no reaction to Carlisle, but we're gonna quickly talk about two things.
- 7:46SPEAKER_03: Um, Carlisle Goodwin shows Carlisle's depth of squad that they've changed it a lot and they can bring people in.
- 7:53SPEAKER_03: But a little debut for Will Rafferty, Billy Rafferty's grandson, yeah.
- 7:57SPEAKER_03: And it was something number of years to the day, practically unbelievable to the day, yeah.
- 8:02SPEAKER_06: But on on that, um I was listening to Rob Elliott's interview after the game, and he and he rightly saw give a lot of praise to uh Jamie Devitt and Birchie as well, who are doing a great job where they've got I mean, obviously the kid Will Rafferty, good luck to him.
- 8:14SPEAKER_06: I hope he kicks on now, and you've got um Jonah Lawson and Hayden Atkinson at Darlington and Seb Mason as well.
- 8:22SPEAKER_06: Um and the lads, there's a few lads in age group groups below that they've got high hopes for, so it just shows what they're they're doing a good job.
- 8:28SPEAKER_03: But on the other side, this is why we need to get out of this division.
- 8:31SPEAKER_03: It is because you want to keep it rolling, don't you turn you don't want to lose them.
- 8:34SPEAKER_03: If we don't go up, we turn into a college, yeah.
- 8:37SPEAKER_06: Yeah, but I mean listen, even further down than that, I was just gonna I was gonna like go on from that.
- 8:43SPEAKER_06: The job, the likes of Billy Barr and Kirk up and like Jim Nichols previously has just left Penrith and Danny Grange has gone in now.
- 8:50SPEAKER_06: If they keep doing the jobs that are doing, there's at least there's some because it's not going to be there for everybody to make it so clubs to fall back on if they keep doing the jobs that they're doing, which is which is great jobs.
- 8:59SPEAKER_06: Then there's the the football in the in the county will be good.
- 9:03SPEAKER_03: The problem is the family want to keep the academy going, but by law, you then lose your licence and you can't play against League Words, you can't play against old themes, you've got to go and play against colleges, or you and you lose them, you can lose them for free.
- 9:14SPEAKER_06: And you can't pay them, they've got to do the college course.
- 9:17SPEAKER_06: Yeah, so they do need to really get all the league done.
- 9:20SPEAKER_03: Is that agents I can see in a helicopter coming over at the college training tonight?
- 9:25SPEAKER_03: Yeah, so well done, Will Rafferty.
- 9:27SPEAKER_03: Yeah, you know what, mate?
- 9:29SPEAKER_03: And I should have done this.
- 9:31SPEAKER_03: Respect your older pros, but fucking go and take the shirt off them.
- 9:35SPEAKER_03: 100%, yeah.
- 9:36SPEAKER_03: Um Salford away next round.
- 9:38SPEAKER_03: It's at home, isn't it?
- 9:40SPEAKER_03: Away?
- 9:41SPEAKER_03: It's at home.
- 9:42SPEAKER_03: Is it?
- 9:45SPEAKER_03: Is it right?
- 9:46SPEAKER_03: Anyway, it's on much of it.
- 9:48SPEAKER_03: Good weekend, wasn't it?
- 9:49SPEAKER_03: Right, football in general.
- 9:51SPEAKER_03: Gonna get serious for a second, okay?
- 9:53SPEAKER_03: Before we get into a this is a good episode this tonight.
- 9:57SPEAKER_03: So James McLean.
- 9:59SPEAKER_03: Okay, right.
- 10:00SPEAKER_03: James McLean's had a lot of um what should we say, chaos over the years, controversy, poppies, stuff like that.
- 10:08SPEAKER_03: Like them or loathe them.
- 10:09SPEAKER_03: I know a lot of people don't like them.
- 10:10SPEAKER_03: So what's happened is McLean, who is currently not playing for his hometown club Derry, amid an ongoing contract dispute, give comments in a wide-ranging interview on topics including his new book, which deals the social media abuse he refused he faced for refusing to wear a poppy, as well as death threats he received.
- 10:29SPEAKER_03: The Sunderland, West Brom and Stoke City spoke about his wife's view that he built up anger and frustration that he had blocked out, to which the interviewer asked him if he had ever tried therapy.
- 10:38SPEAKER_03: McLean responded that he had heard his brother, felly fellow Derry player, Patrick McLean, on a club call to a psychologist, well, the club psychologist, having a lovely chat, and a lot of the players speak to him, and for me that's just weak.
- 10:50SPEAKER_03: As a man, I say that as weakness.
- 10:52SPEAKER_03: I don't need to open up.
- 10:54SPEAKER_03: I say it as a weakness that I have to speak to someone about my feelings, my emotions.
- 10:58SPEAKER_03: Asking for help is a sign of weakness, he's kind of said, right?
- 11:04SPEAKER_03: I'm gonna let you go, and then this is something, believe it or not, I'm quite qualified.
- 11:08SPEAKER_03: Yeah, yeah, and I'm gonna go.
- 11:09SPEAKER_03: So, what you what you're saying, Dylan, to that point.
- 11:13SPEAKER_04: Oh, it's horrendous.
- 11:14SPEAKER_04: It's horrendous, isn't it?
- 11:15SPEAKER_04: Like see about 20 years ago, you probably got people kept saying stuff like that, but now like we've done so well to come so far for men, reality actually being able to admit that they need a bit of help.
- 11:28SPEAKER_04: So many organisations, charities, because the the statistics are crazy.
- 11:34SPEAKER_04: Do you know what I mean?
- 11:35SPEAKER_04: Like people suffer, so I feel like people like that just make it it puts us backwards.
- 11:40SPEAKER_04: Do you know what I mean?
- 11:40SPEAKER_04: And um to say it's a weakness, if anything, it's a strength.
- 11:45SPEAKER_04: Do you know what I mean?
- 11:45SPEAKER_04: To admit that you know what, like I need to speak to someone or I need a bit of help or reach out to a friend or whoever it is, so sometimes you agree with him, sometimes you don't, on certain things over his career and stuff, and the abuse and his decisions, but I can't defend that.
- 12:02SPEAKER_04: That's uh so poor, I think.
- 12:04SPEAKER_04: And from a guy that kind of he knows he knows his presence, even if he thinks it, it'd be even worse to come out and say it.
- 12:11SPEAKER_04: Yeah, right.
- 12:12SPEAKER_04: It's even worse.
- 12:12SPEAKER_06: He's a public figure, isn't he?
- 12:13SPEAKER_06: So he should know better.
- 12:15SPEAKER_06: But like you said, it's come such a long way, and you see people saying it's good to talk and stuff like that.
- 12:20SPEAKER_06: They don't just say it for the sake of it, yeah.
- 12:21SPEAKER_06: He's good for people to to talk.
- 12:22SPEAKER_06: I mean, I've had listen, I've had friends on the on the phone to me.
- 12:26SPEAKER_06: Um and listen, I'm not saying I'm I've I've helped you might have helped him in a little way just by having a chat and getting things over the chest and stuff like that.
- 12:33SPEAKER_06: And to say it's a weakness and to someone who's in the public eye like him, because he's well known, but I just think it's a poor and he but listen, the guy loves controversy, doesn't he?
- 12:42SPEAKER_06: And he doesn't come across well at all.
- 12:43SPEAKER_03: Right.
- 12:45SPEAKER_03: So I've when I've done the looked at the whole interview.
- 12:49SPEAKER_03: So the full interview I've read and went about it and dug deep into it.
- 12:54SPEAKER_03: So in the full interview, he explained his childhood, his childhood traumas, and that his wife had said to him, Do you not think you should maybe get help or go down the road of speaking to someone?
- 13:05SPEAKER_03: His answer to her was that to him that can be seen as weak, as in I'm the man of the house, etc., which is an old school attitude to have, but that's the way he's built.
- 13:16SPEAKER_03: So the way the interview or what he said and how it was put across was wrong, in my opinion.
- 13:20SPEAKER_03: I do disagree with his stance, but I agree with you.
- 13:24SPEAKER_03: I disagree with what he's saying, and that seeking help is massive.
- 13:28SPEAKER_03: Um, it's what I do, it's what we've all done, we've all spoke about it.
- 13:31SPEAKER_03: Yeah, it's my livelihood helping kids, adults speak out, signpost them to organisations, etc., which Dylan just said, we've came so far where everyone knows where places are.
- 13:41SPEAKER_03: So I disagree with them, but I feel the way it was put out in the media, it was put out as a soundbite.
- 13:47SPEAKER_03: And I think Derry have jumped on it, and they responded on a match day.
- 13:53SPEAKER_03: So they went toe to toe with them on a match day.
- 13:55SPEAKER_03: Day of the game, about 12 o'clock, they went, they took the soundbite, not the whole one, and they kind of went, We don't stand with them on that to kind of point score.
- 14:04SPEAKER_03: So they went against James then, the team have a match, the rest of the team club have now been dragged completely into it on a match date like 12, half twelve.
- 14:13SPEAKER_03: When James McLean signed for Derry City, he came in his medical with an autism diagnosis.
- 14:19SPEAKER_03: They knew this, so surely they should understand and sympathize on certain outbursts if they have the knowledge of what an autism diagnosis is and can do to someone.
- 14:28SPEAKER_03: Now, I'm not saying this gives James a free pass to go what he says and does all throughout the years, but the culmination of the sound bite of the interview and not playing the whole thing, I think the situation Derry and James find themselves in add to the fact that knowledge he has autism.
- 14:43SPEAKER_03: Derry releasing their statement of kind of contradicting themselves, or they're now not safeguarding James, their player mental health by releasing a statement and making him the target.
- 14:54SPEAKER_03: So I get in the past he's not helped himself, but to understand autism and get the real facts of the vintage contacts is the real bugbear that I personally have here.
- 15:03SPEAKER_03: If you listen to the whole interview, not the soundbite, it's became a pylon.
- 15:07SPEAKER_03: Derry is known for a highest suicide rate.
- 15:09SPEAKER_03: So the platform that released the soundbite needs to be looked into just as much as anyone else for go doing this rather than helping.
- 15:16SPEAKER_03: So obviously with autism, you kind of get something in your head and you say it, you don't so as we said, we're just controversy.
- 15:26SPEAKER_03: But you you kind of just if you go into an interview, you open up and you just go for it.
- 15:30SPEAKER_03: But in the whole interview, I took the tone of where he said I'm not asking for help, it's weak.
- 15:38SPEAKER_03: And I think he was kind of like the way I read it or seen it was that he was kind of hammering himself a little bit, and he was going, I shouldn't be like that.
- 15:45SPEAKER_03: It's a weak thing to do talking to someone, but I felt he was like saying I should probably do it, but I've just been built in a certain way.
- 15:53SPEAKER_03: Um, but there again, his history of how he talks, you can't believe that in a way because he loves what he said about players like this.
- 16:02SPEAKER_03: I just think Derry could have been the bigger, just waited, not got into it, and it's brought a massive are they still at loggerheads though?
- 16:10SPEAKER_03: Aye, that's what I mean.
- 16:11SPEAKER_03: I don't mean it doesn't make it right or wrong.
- 16:12SPEAKER_03: No, no, that's I mean it seems it's kind of scoring.
- 16:14SPEAKER_04: Yeah, that's what I mean.
- 16:15SPEAKER_04: But they've probably had to distance ourselves from the statement.
- 16:19SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 16:20SPEAKER_04: Do you know what I mean?
- 16:21SPEAKER_04: I know like your duty of care to play as well, but it's almost like we don't stand by his beliefs and what he said that no matter how it's took.
- 16:28SPEAKER_04: Do you know what I mean?
- 16:29SPEAKER_04: Like we we want people we encourage people to get help, and as Daddy's got one of the worst rates.
- 16:35SPEAKER_03: The doctors put this autism is a is characterised by direct communication.
- 16:40SPEAKER_03: So assuming he meant all men when he spoke about himself as a mistake, the club's clinical psychologist should have caught up before put hitting publish.
- 16:49SPEAKER_03: So when he's speaking about it, he's speaking about himself with autism.
- 16:52SPEAKER_03: You're kind of speaking in the third person, and it could come across as talking about others, but he's talking about himself, yeah.
- 16:59SPEAKER_03: And that's why I think the club should understand the autism sign route a little bit instead of the pylon.
- 17:05SPEAKER_03: I just thought it could have been handled a lot better.
- 17:08SPEAKER_03: And as again, don't get me wrong, when he's walking around the ground and he's giving stuff and Hoyen Bovrell comes back and the poppy stuff, you you see it.
- 17:17SPEAKER_04: There's got to be a stage where you're accountable like for your actions, innit?
- 17:21SPEAKER_04: And I get like you need to try take take the his diagnosis and be be careful.
- 17:27SPEAKER_06: But I mean, from the outside looking in, he just doesn't come across as a very nice guy, does he?
- 17:31SPEAKER_06: But that's just from the outside looking in, you don't know him.
- 17:33SPEAKER_04: Could they have not just published the whole interview where he kind of went when he's got his arms up and he's going, I know that's I think it's weak, but he you can say he's not going it fucking because I'm picturing off the sound bite, he's gone weak, fucking weak that, yeah, but he hasn't, he's gone but you've seen it in his head, yeah, even his brother going and getting help, he sees that as like a weakness in his own self.
- 17:56SPEAKER_04: So he I I think he's just silly to broadcast it, to even say it.
- 18:00SPEAKER_04: Yeah, because in his head, and the way he's probably been brought up, and maybe that's how he was brought up to believe that no men don't speak out all this kind of stuff, but don't come out and say it.
- 18:11SPEAKER_03: Do you know what I've done in 2002?
- 18:15SPEAKER_03: Went into the manager's office, pulled the club chaplain, he went, What's the matter?
- 18:20SPEAKER_03: I says, I'm not right.
- 18:21SPEAKER_03: Told the clubsy, told the club chaplain, went in and seen the manager, I says, I'm homesick.
- 18:26SPEAKER_03: I just can't play.
- 18:27SPEAKER_03: He rang us, he went, just play, please play for us.
- 18:30SPEAKER_03: I says, Right, I'll play.
- 18:32SPEAKER_03: Got through the game on the Monday said I'm out.
- 18:34SPEAKER_03: I'd better sum it up, I'm homesick.
- 18:36SPEAKER_03: Fuck off, you're a footballer.
- 18:38SPEAKER_03: Didn't play for six weeks.
- 18:39SPEAKER_03: Did you touch the top with you?
- 18:42SPEAKER_03: And you know what?
- 18:42SPEAKER_03: I kind of went agreed.
- 18:44SPEAKER_03: I went, fucking hell, give my head a shake.
- 18:46SPEAKER_03: I'm a professional footballer.
- 18:48SPEAKER_06: Well, I I had a similar I nearly moved when I was about four, three or four weeks into when I moved to Newcastle.
- 18:53SPEAKER_06: I had an apology by the way, after the planet years, years later.
- 18:55SPEAKER_06: Well I I rang obviously you never used to be, used to be the hotel.
- 18:58SPEAKER_06: Remember the hotel phones in your room?
- 19:00SPEAKER_06: Yeah.
- 19:01SPEAKER_06: And I just broke down on the phone to mum and dad said, I just want to be at home.
- 19:04SPEAKER_06: Someone did just my dad said, Listen, if it if it if it's that bad, I'll come for you now.
- 19:10SPEAKER_03: Isn't it weird?
- 19:11SPEAKER_03: You know, when you pictured home, you don't even have to talk to your mum and dad, you just know they're downstairs or something, don't you?
- 19:17SPEAKER_06: I know.
- 19:18SPEAKER_06: But then I said, right, well, give us a couple of days and I was all set for going home.
- 19:21SPEAKER_06: Yeah.
- 19:22SPEAKER_06: And then I just he rang again, he said, look, he said, you'll never get an opportunity like this again.
- 19:26SPEAKER_06: He said, but your happiness is more important to me than any football club.
- 19:29SPEAKER_06: And he says, if you want me to come, I'll set off now.
- 19:31SPEAKER_06: And I obviously I never and I and I seen it through.
- 19:33SPEAKER_03: Do you think some of them were quite good like that?
- 19:35SPEAKER_03: Because there's people every so often they give them like a week off.
- 19:38SPEAKER_03: And even my mates, who were the most homesick, it's suddenly I was alright, I was around the doors and that.
- 19:43SPEAKER_03: They were like, Oh, I'm I'm not gonna come back.
- 19:45SPEAKER_03: But by the had six, seven days with the mates to realising the mates were doing something every night.
- 19:50SPEAKER_03: They thought they were missing out all the time.
- 19:52SPEAKER_04: They went, You miss your home comforts, not necessarily you miss your home comforts, your mates, and you feel like you're missing out, and maybe your little local restaurants and stuff like that, and you're like, Oh, I miss it.
- 20:01SPEAKER_03: But that's that's still different, it changes.
- 20:03SPEAKER_03: Ours would have been the pubs.
- 20:04SPEAKER_03: What would you do in the week off?
- 20:07SPEAKER_06: Well, it's 16-17, play footy in the car, August of you know a week off footy, just playing footy with your mates.
- 20:13SPEAKER_04: I think it's important to feel like you'd add like supported you.
- 20:16SPEAKER_04: Like, listen, you make your decision, I'll support you, I'll come get ages now.
- 20:19SPEAKER_04: But trying to kind of push you in a direction of look at the opportunity, do you know what I mean?
- 20:25SPEAKER_06: And you know what?
- 20:25SPEAKER_06: I was quite lucky that way because I think a lot of parents, especially now, would be like, Look, you're seeing that you're you're staying.
- 20:32SPEAKER_06: Yeah, um, but yeah, so but listen, that's the way it was all my my whole career.
- 20:36SPEAKER_06: Um, so yeah.
- 20:37SPEAKER_04: So you probably have to make that decision, do you know what I mean?
- 20:39SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 20:39SPEAKER_04: See if you get forced to stay and it's like, Well, I'm not coming to get you, you're staying, and you've signed, and voila, you probably maybe went worse.
- 20:47SPEAKER_04: Do you know what I mean?
- 20:48SPEAKER_04: Like, I've not got that support.
- 20:49SPEAKER_04: Whereas your dad showed you support and you and you make your own decision that I'm actually going to stay and then go ahead.
- 20:54SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 20:54SPEAKER_06: Well, just going on on the back of talking to people, even back then, it was Aaron Hughes who was in the same hotel as me.
- 20:59SPEAKER_06: Um and he looked after me when I was when I was uh Hibs, did he go to Hibbs?
- 21:04SPEAKER_06: In the end, I think, yeah.
- 21:05SPEAKER_06: Had a great career, Aaron.
- 21:06SPEAKER_06: Yeah, Newcastle Fulham and all that.
- 21:07SPEAKER_06: But he when I used to go into school hovers and stuff, he made sure I stayed in his room and he looked after me and all that.
- 21:13SPEAKER_06: And then when I'd when I'd went full time and I was struggling, I spok like I spoke to him and he was he was great, like he's so it does prove like you can't just speak to people.
- 21:24SPEAKER_06: No, it was listen there was brutal people there.
- 21:26SPEAKER_06: Don't get it wrong, but he was just a very nice guy from Northern Ireland, wasn't he?
- 21:29SPEAKER_06: But yeah, so I was lucky.
- 21:31SPEAKER_06: You need that we better look, don't you?
- 21:32SPEAKER_06: As well, certain people like just ticking you under your wing.
- 21:35SPEAKER_03: Right, we've got absolutely loads to go through tonight.
- 21:37SPEAKER_03: But why don't we, after that very good chat, which I think will help a lot of people.
- 21:42SPEAKER_03: By the way, we're big advocates for all the mental health stuff, aren't we?
- 21:46SPEAKER_03: Yeah, we are so yeah.
- 21:48SPEAKER_03: If anyone needs to talk to us, well, get in touch.
- 21:52SPEAKER_03: We're always there.
- 21:53SPEAKER_03: Um, quiz corner, let's go into it.
- 21:56SPEAKER_03: Ooh, tell me.
- 21:57SPEAKER_04: Why we've got the the ultimate quiz master.
- 22:00SPEAKER_03: Thank you.
- 22:02SPEAKER_03: By the way, Jeff's question last week.
- 22:06SPEAKER_03: In 2006, Carlisle United v.
- 22:08SPEAKER_03: Stockport in Paul Simpson's final game.
- 22:11SPEAKER_03: Who were the two BBC pundits that played in that game?
- 22:14SPEAKER_03: Hunt's one of them.
- 22:15SPEAKER_03: Did we get help?
- 22:16SPEAKER_03: Did anybody write in?
- 22:18SPEAKER_03: I like what you're saying there.
- 22:20SPEAKER_03: That is technically.
- 22:21SPEAKER_03: Did Hunt play in that game for Stockport?
- 22:23SPEAKER_03: Oh my, it's just when Simmons was their manager.
- 22:25SPEAKER_03: No, Simmons played for us his final game.
- 22:28SPEAKER_03: Carl Hunts could have been now, wasn't he?
- 22:29SPEAKER_03: Oh no, I've I've got the wrong wrong.
- 22:31SPEAKER_06: Right, anyway.
- 22:32SPEAKER_03: No idea.
- 22:33SPEAKER_03: Do you want the answers?
- 22:34SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 22:35SPEAKER_03: Does Gaffney text in?
- 22:38SPEAKER_03: He got it wrong, then he got it right, but I'm taking the first wrong answer.
- 22:42SPEAKER_03: It was um Glenn Murray.
- 22:45SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 22:47SPEAKER_03: Ashley Williams sent a half.
- 22:49SPEAKER_03: Oh.
- 22:49SPEAKER_06: Ah, right, yeah.
- 22:50SPEAKER_06: Oh well.
- 22:50SPEAKER_06: I don't know.
- 22:51SPEAKER_06: He was a strong bugger.

- 22:54SPEAKER_06: Cool question, that.

- 24:55SPEAKER_03: I might well.
- 24:56SPEAKER_03: Shall I go?
- 24:57SPEAKER_06: Give me what you think it is.

- 34:01SPEAKER_03: No, the other one.
- 34:02SPEAKER_03: You nearly could have been.
- 34:05SPEAKER_03: Could have been.

- 34:26SPEAKER_06: Shit, I thought he could be played for Nottingham Forest.
- 34:28SPEAKER_06: I did.
- 34:28SPEAKER_06: He did.
- 34:29SPEAKER_06: Did he?
- 34:30SPEAKER_06: He did.
- 34:30SPEAKER_06: Can we get Google on this please?
- 34:32SPEAKER_06: Darren Hookabee, career.
- 34:34SPEAKER_06: Well, I would have checked.
- 34:36SPEAKER_06: I'm not a moron.
- 34:37SPEAKER_06: No, if you're wrong.
- 34:39SPEAKER_03: Hung over.
- 34:40SPEAKER_05: Davel and suddenly forest.
- 34:42SPEAKER_00: Hold up.
- 34:43SPEAKER_03: Huh, uh, Curly Current.
- 34:46SPEAKER_00: We played for Lincoln, Newcastle Miller, Coventry, Lees, Man City, Lotton Forest, and Moe.
- 34:51SPEAKER_06: Well done.
- 34:52SPEAKER_06: Sorry about that.
- 34:53SPEAKER_06: Should never doubt you.
- 34:56SPEAKER_03: When Dutch legend Edgar Davids took over the Barnet, but took over Barnet as player manager and captain.
- 35:02SPEAKER_03: The bomb.
- 35:03SPEAKER_03: He did have a Barnet.
- 35:04SPEAKER_03: When Dutch legend Edgar Davids took over Barnet as player manager and captain, which number did he assign himself?
- 35:11SPEAKER_03: One.
- 35:12SPEAKER_03: Correct.
- 35:13SPEAKER_03: Did he?
- 35:13SPEAKER_03: Aye.
- 35:13SPEAKER_03: Why?
- 35:14SPEAKER_03: Why wouldn't he?
- 35:15SPEAKER_03: And guess what?
- 35:16SPEAKER_03: Any game that was overnight, nah.
- 35:20SPEAKER_03: Didn't go.
- 35:21SPEAKER_03: Did he not?
- 35:21SPEAKER_03: Nah.
- 35:23SPEAKER_03: Player manager, Captain didn't play, didn't go.
- 35:26SPEAKER_03: Left his assistance in charge.
- 35:28SPEAKER_06: Bothered.
- 35:28SPEAKER_06: A bit like you with the commentary.
- 35:32SPEAKER_03: Here's your question from Jeff, the quizmaster.
- 35:36SPEAKER_03: Colel supporters.
- 35:38SPEAKER_03: Here's this week's question for CUFC fans.
- 35:41SPEAKER_03: On 29th of October 2022, Cornell United won 2-0 away Tremierovas.
- 35:47SPEAKER_03: Four Cumbrian-born players started the game for the Blues that day.
- 35:51SPEAKER_03: Who were they?
- 35:52SPEAKER_03: Make sure you get it onto Instagram.
- 35:54SPEAKER_03: Prove that you're on YouTube.
- 35:56SPEAKER_03: And you'll enter the raffle.
- 35:59SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 36:00SPEAKER_03: So which do you know four?
- 36:02SPEAKER_03: Four Cumbrian players started the game.
- 36:04SPEAKER_03: Yeah, we don't see them.
- 36:05SPEAKER_03: I won't see it, but yeah, I know it.
- 36:08SPEAKER_03: This is from Dave EM.
- 36:09SPEAKER_03: Hi gents.
- 36:10SPEAKER_03: My offer still stands of£100 to attend a Carlisle match with you all.
- 36:14SPEAKER_03: Quick question.
- 36:16SPEAKER_03: I ask I usually ask my work colleagues who came on for Paul Gascoigne in the 1991 FA Cup final when he got injured.
- 36:23SPEAKER_03: I've had answers such as Steve Sedgley, Gary Lineger, Paul Allen, Paul Stewart, Vinny Samuels, Paul Walsh, to which I replied no to all.
- 36:31SPEAKER_03: And then they gave in and I said the St.
- 36:33SPEAKER_03: John's ambulance.
- 36:34SPEAKER_03: Do you think being called a dickhead was acceptable?
- 36:37SPEAKER_03: Keep up the good work.
- 36:39SPEAKER_03: With that side of crack, he might just have to donate the hundred.
- 36:43SPEAKER_03: I was wondering when he was going with that.
- 36:44SPEAKER_03: Dylan play, I said to him, Well, Dylan players at the minute, but we'll sort some of the things.
- 36:48SPEAKER_03: Yeah, I saw something, yeah.
- 36:49SPEAKER_03: Uh might have to go in the paddock.
- 36:51SPEAKER_03: The nicer weather comes.
- 36:53unknown: Yeah.
- 36:55SPEAKER_02: Naeem.
- 36:56SPEAKER_03: Was it Naeem?
- 36:57SPEAKER_03: Was it?
- 36:57SPEAKER_03: Naeem, what a player.
- 36:59SPEAKER_03: Right.
- 36:59SPEAKER_03: Are you ready for this?
- 37:00SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 37:01SPEAKER_03: Been keeping this from years.
- 37:03SPEAKER_03: Oh, here we go.
- 37:04SPEAKER_03: This could be anything, this.
- 37:05SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 37:06SPEAKER_03: Right.
- 37:06SPEAKER_03: I might need a drink of water, you know, to get through this.
- 37:10SPEAKER_03: Is any of that?
- 37:12SPEAKER_03: Any of that?
- 37:16SPEAKER_03: Watch out, I tune his boots.
- 37:17SPEAKER_03: Cheers.
- 37:19SPEAKER_03: Right.
- 37:22SPEAKER_06: Oh, is this the one you're being on about?
- 37:24SPEAKER_06: Ah, yeah, right.
- 37:25SPEAKER_06: Go on then.
- 37:26SPEAKER_03: I need to get it right because they put a load of effort into this.
- 37:31SPEAKER_03: Hi lads.
- 37:32SPEAKER_03: Absolutely loving the pod.
- 37:33SPEAKER_03: Love how we get our football fix, but also other crack like icks, chocolate bars, best boozers, etc.
- 37:40SPEAKER_03: One of my favourite topics has been dating disasters.
- 37:44SPEAKER_03: And I thought it's time to tell you about my experiences.
- 37:47SPEAKER_03: So around five years ago, I broke up with my long-term partner and decided to enter the world of online dating.
- 37:54SPEAKER_03: A harmony, plenty of fish, Tinder, the lot.
- 37:57SPEAKER_03: And I'm going to be honest throughout here, good and bad.
- 38:00SPEAKER_03: So I would say I'm around a seven out of ten, look-wise, have a good job, and keep myself active.
- 38:05SPEAKER_03: So I do okay on the initial photo matchup.
- 38:08unknown: Right?
- 38:09SPEAKER_03: So the look at him gets a good six.
- 38:10SPEAKER_03: Seven out of ten.
- 38:11SPEAKER_03: It's fucking hell.
- 38:12SPEAKER_03: I've read it.
- 38:13SPEAKER_03: And to be fair to him, he's an honest chap, yeah.
- 38:15SPEAKER_03: Fair enough.
- 38:16SPEAKER_03: So what would you give yourself?
- 38:19SPEAKER_06: Two.
- 38:20SPEAKER_06: Three.
- 38:21SPEAKER_03: Go on then.
- 38:22SPEAKER_03: Nine.
- 38:24SPEAKER_06: It means it as well.
- 38:26SPEAKER_03: He means it.
- 38:27SPEAKER_03: Right.
- 38:28SPEAKER_03: I have matched with some really beautiful, lovely girls and arranged some special dates involving nice restaurants, fun dates like bowling or axe throwing, gestures like cooking for them, taking them to scenic sunset views, planning day trips.
- 38:42SPEAKER_03: I feel I tick a box when it comes to knowing how to treat and respect women.
- 38:46SPEAKER_03: The only problem is when I have a little nice drink or two, I turn into an absolute fucking loose cannon.
- 38:53SPEAKER_03: You mentioned the other week the film Me, Myself, and Irene with Jim Carrey.
- 38:58SPEAKER_03: I have literally walked into a restaurant as Charlie, and then within 35 minutes, I am fucking Hank.
- 39:04SPEAKER_03: If you've seen that, yeah.
- 39:08SPEAKER_03: For the first half hour, I can see my date look at me in a certain way that she feels I could be the one.
- 39:15SPEAKER_03: Or at least further dates are certainly on the cards.
- 39:18SPEAKER_03: Drinks are ordered, starters are there.
- 39:21SPEAKER_03: If we are at a restaurant, they're served.
- 39:23SPEAKER_03: Or if a fun date, the bowling lane is set up, everything all good.
- 39:28SPEAKER_03: Then the third drinks arrive.
- 39:29SPEAKER_03: I am halfway down my third, but the other two hit.
- 39:33SPEAKER_03: Here is Hank.
- 39:34SPEAKER_03: If we are having meals that gets shoved to the side in search of a pub with music so I can dance.
- 39:38SPEAKER_03: This could be 1:30 in the afternoon, by the way.
- 39:41SPEAKER_03: If we are bowling, the ball gets launched and I'm following it down the lane, Clinsman diving.
- 39:46SPEAKER_03: I'm absolute chalking cheese after a drink.
- 39:50SPEAKER_03: One night I travelled to Newcastle as I had matched with an absolute worldly online.
- 39:54SPEAKER_03: I booked a lovely hotel just for me, as she was a Geordie and I was staying in the area.
- 39:59SPEAKER_03: I didn't ever expect her to stay.
- 40:01SPEAKER_03: I didn't want her to stay because I felt she was very, very nice and respectful.
- 40:06SPEAKER_03: We got on in messages all week and talked on the phone in anticipation for our upcoming date.
- 40:11SPEAKER_03: I had confided in my serious mates at work, both males and females, proud you could say, as I genuinely felt this was someone I could see myself long term.
- 40:20SPEAKER_03: Butterflies were there.
- 40:21SPEAKER_03: I was giddy, desperate for Newcastle, desperate for Friday night to come.
- 40:26SPEAKER_03: I set off from work on the Friday around 3-ish for the journey to Newcastle, playing a new Spotify playlist I made of the songs myself and my date had said we liked through the week.
- 40:37SPEAKER_03: As I said before, I was giddy.
- 40:39SPEAKER_03: I need I should have got that playlist.
- 40:42SPEAKER_03: I arrived at my hotel at 5-ish, so I had two hours to kill.
- 40:46SPEAKER_03: I went for a little walk and even picked up a bracelet from an independent stall near the Tyne Bridge before I headed back to change for the big night.
- 40:54SPEAKER_06: Where there?
- 40:54SPEAKER_06: One sec.
- 40:55SPEAKER_03: Bracelet for the girl.
- 40:57SPEAKER_03: All I've got is this.
- 40:59SPEAKER_03: I think so.
- 41:00SPEAKER_06: Oh well, carry on.
- 41:01SPEAKER_03: I know you lads like your clubber.
- 41:03SPEAKER_03: So you may be interested to know what my outfit was.
- 41:06SPEAKER_03: An on a essential white trainer.
- 41:09SPEAKER_03: At this time of day, they didn't have a vast amount of choice.
- 41:12SPEAKER_03: They have now, as in the trainers.
- 41:14SPEAKER_03: A slim beige chino trouser, white round neck t-shirt, finished off with a grey Top Man lightweight bomber jacket.
- 41:23SPEAKER_03: Top man was good back in the day, wasn't it?
- 41:25SPEAKER_03: Felt decent.
- 41:26SPEAKER_03: I'm glad you did so.
- 41:28SPEAKER_03: I went to the hotel bar with 45 minutes left before my date.
- 41:32SPEAKER_03: I decided to have a bottle of Corona to take the edge off.
- 41:35SPEAKER_03: Sipped it, no gulpies, deep breath, preparation key.
- 41:40SPEAKER_03: We don't need Hank tonight.
- 41:43SPEAKER_03: He's coming though, isn't he?
- 41:44SPEAKER_03: She entered the restaurant and honestly, she was everything and more.
- 41:48SPEAKER_03: And the best thing about it was I could tell she felt the same.
- 41:51SPEAKER_03: 90 minutes flew by, we talked, we flirted.
- 41:54SPEAKER_03: I made a pint and a half last the whole time.
- 41:57SPEAKER_03: Amazing.
- 41:58SPEAKER_03: I settled the bill, she offered.
- 42:01SPEAKER_03: I appreciated that, but said it was on me.
- 42:04SPEAKER_03: She said, Thank you so much.
- 42:05SPEAKER_03: I'll get the drinks next.
- 42:10SPEAKER_03: Next bar, get in.
- 42:11SPEAKER_03: She wants this to continue.
- 42:13SPEAKER_03: We literally walked next door where a singer was on and a good atmosphere.
- 42:17SPEAKER_03: Not too busy, just right.
- 42:19SPEAKER_03: She said, Grab that booth and I will get the drinks.
- 42:22SPEAKER_03: Cushdy.
- 42:23SPEAKER_03: She returned with the drinks, put them down, and sat right next to me and said, The restaurant was lovely, but I've been waiting to sit next to you rather than opposite.
- 42:33SPEAKER_03: She kissed me.
- 42:34SPEAKER_03: Unreal.
- 42:37SPEAKER_03: I sipped my drink.
- 42:40SPEAKER_03: We both knew this was the start of something.
- 42:42SPEAKER_03: I went to the toilet.
- 42:43SPEAKER_03: The singer was on, dancing in the moon life.
- 42:46SPEAKER_03: Light was playing.
- 42:47SPEAKER_03: I fucking hate that song, but tonight it sounded great.
- 42:50SPEAKER_03: Chewing gum, quick spray, and was again so excited to get back to the booth and carry on the night.
- 42:57SPEAKER_03: Housekeeping.
- 42:58SPEAKER_03: Bang, bang, bang.
- 42:59SPEAKER_03: Housekeeping.
- 43:01SPEAKER_03: Eh?
- 43:02SPEAKER_03: What?
- 43:03SPEAKER_03: I hear the door open.
- 43:04SPEAKER_03: I finally scrape my eyes open to find a cleaner with a foreign accent, apologizing for being in the room.
- 43:10SPEAKER_03: What the fuck?
- 43:11SPEAKER_03: She leaves.
- 43:12SPEAKER_03: I survey the room.
- 43:13SPEAKER_03: I'm fully clothed in the hotel bed alone.
- 43:17SPEAKER_03: Where is my phone?
- 43:18SPEAKER_03: Where is my fucking phone?
- 43:20SPEAKER_03: It's under my pillar.
- 43:21SPEAKER_03: It's dead.
- 43:22SPEAKER_03: Where's my charger?
- 43:23SPEAKER_03: What the fuck's going on?
- 43:25SPEAKER_03: I look in the mirror.
- 43:26SPEAKER_03: Apart from my hair being messed up a little, I look okay.
- 43:29SPEAKER_03: No UD, no UDIs, unidentified, unidentified drinking injuries.
- 43:36SPEAKER_03: The Apple sign flashes up on my phone.
- 43:38SPEAKER_03: Pin inserted.
- 43:40SPEAKER_03: A few messages from work colleagues of glad it's going well and you deserve this.
- 43:45SPEAKER_03: Later ones of later ones of how did it go?
- 43:49SPEAKER_03: Okay.
- 43:50SPEAKER_03: Then the one that I focus on.
- 43:52SPEAKER_03: It's from my date.
- 43:53SPEAKER_03: I open it.
- 43:55SPEAKER_03: I can't, I just can't be around that sort of behavior.
- 43:59SPEAKER_03: Sorry.
- 44:01SPEAKER_03: Stomach drops to my arse, heart pumping out my chest, immediate dab on and massive fear.
- 44:08SPEAKER_03: I go over messages in my phone trying to piece some sort of timeline together.
- 44:12SPEAKER_03: All good until about 10-ish, then only a couple of messages from my date.
- 44:18SPEAKER_03: Where are you?
- 44:20SPEAKER_03: What the fuck do you think would happen if you went behind the bar?
- 44:24SPEAKER_03: Next one, such a shame.
- 44:26SPEAKER_03: What a waste.
- 44:28SPEAKER_03: Then the last one.
- 44:30SPEAKER_03: I just can't be around that behaviour.
- 44:32SPEAKER_03: Sorry.
- 44:33SPEAKER_03: Still a bit hungover.
- 44:35SPEAKER_03: Well, boozing me.
- 44:36SPEAKER_03: I brushed it off, puffed my chest out, and said plenty more fish in the fucking sea.
- 44:41SPEAKER_03: Later that afternoon, as I'm driving home, the irreality kicked in.
- 44:45SPEAKER_03: I fucked up.
- 44:46SPEAKER_03: She hadn't responded to my text of I'm sorry, etc.
- 44:50SPEAKER_03: What happened?
- 44:50SPEAKER_03: The old maybe I was spiked line I threw in.
- 44:54SPEAKER_03: It was done, gutted.
- 44:56SPEAKER_03: She didn't lighten me a couple of weeks later to what went on.
- 45:00SPEAKER_03: After organising a trip to York for the following week together, whilst we were still sitting in the booth, she went to the toilet and lightened me.
- 45:08SPEAKER_03: She said she couldn't wait to get back to me.
- 45:10SPEAKER_03: Unfortunately, when she came back, I was throwing ice cubes at the bar staff.
- 45:15SPEAKER_03: Then I walked over and demanded four cheeky ventors before going behind the bar and trying to pull my own pint.
- 45:22SPEAKER_03: Once thrown out by the bouncers, I apparently told her I was an unreal climber and started mounting the nearest set of traffic lights.
- 45:30SPEAKER_03: That's when she cut her losses.
- 45:33SPEAKER_03: Unreal climber.
- 45:35SPEAKER_03: God knows how I got to the hotel, but there we go.
- 45:38SPEAKER_03: Hank made an appearance, and now Charlie was driving home lower than a snake's belly.
- 45:44SPEAKER_03: Monday morning going into face my work collies was a low moment in my life.
- 45:48SPEAKER_03: I hope you enjoy the tale more than I enjoyed living it, lads, for fuck's sakes.
- 45:53SPEAKER_03: And fuck knows where the bracelets is.
- 45:55SPEAKER_03: I bought all the best initials LK.
- 45:59SPEAKER_03: How do you get like that?
- 46:02SPEAKER_03: Like from just being alright to flipping quick.
- 46:07SPEAKER_03: As in, he's painted the picture for us.
- 46:10SPEAKER_03: Oh, very good email.
- 46:11SPEAKER_03: Great detail as well.
- 46:12SPEAKER_03: I'm actually picturing what restaurants and that.
- 46:14SPEAKER_03: I'm pink, I'm picturing that he stayed at uh the Malmaison because he was at the quase.
- 46:18SPEAKER_03: Yeah, yeah.
- 46:19SPEAKER_03: Then I'm picturing he went up to like Barluga, and then I'm picturing they went to Harry's with the singer, so that's all in my head.
- 46:25SPEAKER_04: I like the unreal climb about me.
- 46:27SPEAKER_04: Oh, that's amazing.
- 46:28SPEAKER_04: That's something that you just see like in a playground or something, like once thrown out.
- 46:33SPEAKER_03: Once thrown out by the bouncers, I apparently told her that I was an unreal climber and started mounting the nearest set of traffic lights.
- 46:40SPEAKER_03: That's when she cut her losses.
- 46:42SPEAKER_03: Well, you can't blame the girl, can you?
- 46:44SPEAKER_06: She'll be gutted as well.
- 46:45SPEAKER_03: Right, Hank, you've had a nightmare.
- 46:48SPEAKER_03: I'm gonna ask for a little update on these.
- 46:50SPEAKER_03: I do now.
- 46:50SPEAKER_03: Definitely do, yeah.
- 46:51SPEAKER_03: Well, these geordies are hard to uh impress.
- 46:54SPEAKER_03: Right?
- 46:55SPEAKER_03: My best eleven I played against.
- 46:57SPEAKER_03: Yes, yeah, go for it.
- 46:58SPEAKER_03: Yeah, I've got to go along with Murph and I've got to go with Joe Hart.
- 47:01SPEAKER_03: Uh-huh.
- 47:01SPEAKER_03: Save two my pens.
- 47:03SPEAKER_03: Massive for his age, 19, talker, kicker, everything.
- 47:08SPEAKER_03: As I've said, Jeff, we had Dave Timms, was our goalkeeping coach part-time, and Joe Hart had Dave Timms as the part-time keeper coach down there.
- 47:17SPEAKER_03: Told him where I went.
- 47:19SPEAKER_03: Yeah, no, but you shouldn't.
- 47:20SPEAKER_03: Shrues beer in mid-table.
- 47:21SPEAKER_03: I know, but you shouldn't miss two.
- 47:23SPEAKER_03: I missed one down there, and then I got a retake because he came up his line, scored, scored a volley past him in the first minute.
- 47:32SPEAKER_03: Then got a pen, changed my side, which I'd told Timsy about the day before.
- 47:37SPEAKER_03: So why is it he told Tim?
- 47:39SPEAKER_06: Why'd you tell him?
- 47:40SPEAKER_06: Did you go did did you know that did you go at him though, the Q code to say like what you're doing or you don't know?
- 47:46SPEAKER_03: We were like top, he would have got a bonus.
- 47:48SPEAKER_03: Why is he like helping Joe Hart in mid-table?
- 47:50SPEAKER_06: Keepers Union and Robby.
- 47:52SPEAKER_03: Ah he's probably done well out of him over the years.
- 47:54SPEAKER_06: I bet aye.
- 47:55SPEAKER_03: And this is gonna surprise a lot of people, certainly James Phillips and BBC Radio Cumbria listers, because when we played against him, we used to shout, leave him on the ball.
- 48:03SPEAKER_03: Big centre half for Nottingham Forest.
- 48:06SPEAKER_03: Where's Morgan?
- 48:07SPEAKER_03: Where's Morgan?
- 48:07SPEAKER_03: But you know why I've put him in?
- 48:09SPEAKER_03: Because he could defend, but when Forrest tried to play out from the back, as I say, we left him on it.
- 48:15SPEAKER_03: But I've read interview after interview, he's a Premier League captain champion, winner, yeah.
- 48:20SPEAKER_03: And everyone puts him down as the hardest trainer, so that tells me something about his mentality.
- 48:25SPEAKER_03: Yeah, so fair play to him, played against from League One, where Forrest were trying to get him out.
- 48:30SPEAKER_03: He went to Leicester, I think he dropped the division to go to Leicester, and then he's been a Premier League captain, so you can't think about that.
- 48:36SPEAKER_03: Nah, you can't fall back, can you?
- 48:38SPEAKER_03: I'm gonna go on the left of a three, Stuart Pierce.
- 48:41SPEAKER_03: I played against him when he was 38, and he doesn't warm up outside there.
- 48:45SPEAKER_03: Warms up, no top on, slip, thighs.
- 48:49SPEAKER_06: Well, do you know what?
- 48:49SPEAKER_06: He came to Newcastle back end of his career, and him, John Barnes, and somebody else who was Rush, yeah, in th they got binned off with the reserves, and I had a 50-50 with Stu Pierce, but obviously I've shot myself and pulled out, and he hammered us for it.
- 49:06SPEAKER_06: He's just going to ever crop out, and I just but you had his memory you rolled his shorts up, yeah, and I just seen his thighs coming out.
- 49:12SPEAKER_06: I've got a picture to do the 50-50 with him.
- 49:14SPEAKER_04: Did they call him psycho?
- 49:15SPEAKER_03: Yeah, but he wasn't really, so I was kind of let down when he started doing the punditry because you've seen him in Euro 96.
- 49:20SPEAKER_03: I mean he wasn't the same, was he?
- 49:21SPEAKER_03: And then a lot of people hammer him for his management.
- 49:23SPEAKER_03: But I had to go in for the 50-50 with him because it was right in front of the Dughouse.
- 49:26SPEAKER_03: Nah, I never had thought.
- 49:27SPEAKER_03: I've I kind of went for it without going for it.
- 49:29SPEAKER_03: Yeah, but he just he like another one we talk about, but when that awkward and that rock solid without being muscle, he wasn't that big, was he?
- 49:37SPEAKER_06: He wasn't big massive thighs, though.
- 49:39SPEAKER_06: Big massive legs absolutely tore into me for that.
- 49:42SPEAKER_06: Did he?
- 49:43SPEAKER_03: Stuart Pierce 38 at the time as well.
- 49:46SPEAKER_03: Man City, Keegan signing Desai.
- 49:51SPEAKER_03: Not bad, is it?
- 49:52SPEAKER_03: I used to remember as a centre mid for AC Milan and him and Int went in for a tackle once into Milan via AC Milan.
- 50:01SPEAKER_03: I was like, imagine playing against them too.
- 50:03SPEAKER_03: But he went centre half.
- 50:05SPEAKER_03: And the thing is though, a lot of people say they liked playing against him who had pace, they like to go over the back.
- 50:11SPEAKER_03: I think he'd no.
- 50:12SPEAKER_03: If the ball was headed up, he was World Cup winner again.
- 50:16SPEAKER_03: Oh, he was a different class, wasn't he?
- 50:17SPEAKER_04: Yeah, different level.
- 50:19SPEAKER_03: Um in midfield, Leon Osman played against him just before he got in the Everton team.
- 50:26SPEAKER_03: Did he come here on loan?
- 50:27SPEAKER_03: Yeah, meant to have a great and then he went to Derby, but then he got in the Everton team.
- 50:31SPEAKER_03: I played against him in the reserves for Everton and he was just sharp.
- 50:34SPEAKER_04: He didn't I what I remember, he didn't seem too technical and stuff.
- 50:38SPEAKER_04: How was he?
- 50:39SPEAKER_04: Oh, was it technical?
- 50:40SPEAKER_04: Was it hard to get a little solid?
- 50:44SPEAKER_03: You never you wouldn't appreciate him until you play against them.
- 50:47SPEAKER_03: Yeah, yeah.
- 50:47SPEAKER_03: Because you I know it sounds disrespectful, but when you're watching football, there's about a hundred Premier League players who are like non, you just you think it could be replaced by so many people, don't you?
- 50:58SPEAKER_03: But every team the play in the play.
- 51:00SPEAKER_03: Yeah, I was good, very good.
- 51:03SPEAKER_03: Yeah, good player.
- 51:04SPEAKER_03: Uh I put Gerard in because I played against him.
- 51:06SPEAKER_03: Not we've we've spoken about Gerard for absolute all day, every day.
- 51:11SPEAKER_03: Spoke about this Robert Prozenecki.
- 51:14SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 51:15SPEAKER_03: So the Croatian player, fifth in the Ballon d'Or, 1998 World Cup to finish third.
- 51:21SPEAKER_03: Croatia finished third or something.
- 51:23SPEAKER_03: Him, Davosuka, people like that, he was brilliant.
- 51:26SPEAKER_03: So I played against him for Barnsley.
- 51:28SPEAKER_03: He scored three, I scored two.
- 51:29SPEAKER_03: Who was he?
- 51:29SPEAKER_04: Who was he playing for?
- 51:30SPEAKER_03: Portsmouth.
- 51:31SPEAKER_03: Playing at like 33.
- 51:32SPEAKER_03: Scored a hat rick, right?
- 51:33SPEAKER_04: Is that when Portsmouth like had some big hit or something?
- 51:36SPEAKER_04: No, no, no.
- 51:37SPEAKER_04: They'd crouch up front, but there wasn't.
- 51:39SPEAKER_06: It won't be long after they scored it when they'd got the lads in.
- 51:43SPEAKER_04: This is when Harry came in.
- 51:44SPEAKER_03: Yeah, Harry came in as Harry Red Knapp was director of football.
- 51:47SPEAKER_03: So this is 2003.
- 51:49SPEAKER_06: So they were on the way, they were on the way to the Prem then, weren't they?
- 51:50SPEAKER_03: No, no, they were like after this manager, Harry took over.
- 51:54SPEAKER_03: So he was kind of this star that put all their money into him.
- 51:58SPEAKER_03: So he scored three, they're 4-2 up.
- 52:00SPEAKER_03: I've scored a penny to make it 4-3.
- 52:02SPEAKER_03: We've scored an 88th minute to make it 4-4.
- 52:04SPEAKER_03: And there's been bookings galos.
- 52:06SPEAKER_03: There's about seven minutes to go.
- 52:07SPEAKER_03: He's walked off down the tunnel.
- 52:09SPEAKER_03: He's just went, fuck this, and gone.
- 52:11SPEAKER_03: Just the one you were telling us the other day, you just went up.
- 52:12SPEAKER_03: And Harry Rednapp's like that.
- 52:14SPEAKER_03: Fucking don't blame him.
- 52:16SPEAKER_03: Like Graeme Ricks was manager for them.
- 52:19SPEAKER_03: But I uh I started on him and I went, fuck you, and he just went like that, grabbed my badge.
- 52:23SPEAKER_03: And he went, Madrid, Barcelona, fucking Barnsley.
- 52:26SPEAKER_03: Had the Toby the Tight centenary, but Toby the Tight, he grabbed, he went, fucking bad.
- 52:31SPEAKER_04: Why are you standing over him shouting?
- 52:33SPEAKER_03: No, no, we're next to each other.
- 52:34SPEAKER_03: I was 21 on that.
- 52:36SPEAKER_03: Why?
- 52:36SPEAKER_03: Because that's just what he's like.
- 52:38SPEAKER_03: He scored he scored a pen.
- 52:42SPEAKER_03: He scored with his right foot.
- 52:44SPEAKER_03: And he scored a he skinned about three people, left foot, and then he had a free kick 25 yards out.
- 52:49SPEAKER_03: Keeper didn't move into the top corner.
- 52:51SPEAKER_03: Then walked off.
- 52:53SPEAKER_03: Fair play, fair play.
- 52:54SPEAKER_03: Great Rix is trying to get him to get it back on.
- 52:57SPEAKER_03: Three up front.
- 52:59SPEAKER_03: Let's go on the right.
- 53:00SPEAKER_03: Zola.
- 53:02SPEAKER_06: He was phenomenal.
- 53:04SPEAKER_03: Didn't even have to do anything against us, really.
- 53:06SPEAKER_03: I loved him.
- 53:07SPEAKER_03: He was at like 60%.
- 53:09SPEAKER_03: Imagine in the big games when he's up for it.
- 53:11SPEAKER_03: Because he like we were just being promoted and it was like a walk in the park.
- 53:14SPEAKER_03: But imagine when he's got the bit between his teeth and he's got to provide like against my new top of his second, he's got to like remember in the corner what he'd done to Carriga.
- 53:22SPEAKER_06: Aye.
- 53:22SPEAKER_06: He's just turned them inside out about four times.
- 53:24SPEAKER_04: What are you looking at though when you see it?
- 53:26SPEAKER_04: Like because he's small, ain't he?
- 53:27SPEAKER_04: Like he's no big, he's no shit.
- 53:29SPEAKER_04: He went up against someone and just thought how like surely someone's battering you.
- 53:36SPEAKER_04: That's what I mean.
- 53:37SPEAKER_04: Like, how are they so good for that level?
- 53:39SPEAKER_06: Look at the best player that's ever lived.
- 53:42SPEAKER_06: Mudrid's thighs are like that.
- 53:44SPEAKER_04: No, but I feel like Messi can like he's powerful, he can run, he'd bounce off.
- 53:48SPEAKER_04: I don't know, you might be telling me I'm talking shit, but he didn't Zoe then look like he could he was like quick.
- 53:54SPEAKER_03: I know get away from people.
- 53:55SPEAKER_04: I mean, you feel like if you get close to him, you'll just bully him.
- 53:57SPEAKER_04: But just because he's so technical, his first touch, yeah, the way he uses his body, and that is it.
- 54:01SPEAKER_03: Yeah, I said I was gonna go for Peter player against as well, not just because that Andy Robinson.
- 54:05SPEAKER_03: Do you remember Andy Robinson?
- 54:06SPEAKER_03: He was winger little stock, but quick.
- 54:08SPEAKER_03: Tramir Swansea.
- 54:11SPEAKER_03: So he played on the left for Swansea, but he's right footed.
- 54:14SPEAKER_03: Remember him, Jeff?
- 54:15SPEAKER_02: He's still actually against us for Leeds.
- 54:17SPEAKER_03: Yeah, I wasn't there.
- 54:18SPEAKER_03: I wasn't, yeah.
- 54:19SPEAKER_03: He was uh I was commenting on that.
- 54:21SPEAKER_03: So he it's Swansea, he was quality.
- 54:24SPEAKER_03: Tramier or Lee he was quality left, right foot, could take it proper player in today's game, yeah.
- 54:30SPEAKER_03: Carrying, so you thought, but he he was strong, he was quick, he was very good.
- 54:35SPEAKER_03: Uh because I was gonna put Lee Trundle in, but Merv put him in last week and spoke about him.
- 54:39SPEAKER_03: They're two for Swansea, yeah, who were good.
- 54:42SPEAKER_03: Uh Andy Robinson, greater player, went to Leeds and just didn't work out.
- 54:46SPEAKER_03: I know he'd done well in a couple of games, but and then Shearer up front.
- 54:50SPEAKER_03: Oh she done playing against the bigger.
- 54:52SPEAKER_06: Oh, that's your pit you've got to go pitcher that where he's bullying you.
- 54:55SPEAKER_06: Nah, he doesn't.
- 54:56SPEAKER_06: We've got the footage.
- 54:57SPEAKER_04: Push him over.
- 54:58SPEAKER_04: What would he have done to you if you were like fuck off?
- 55:01SPEAKER_04: You wouldn't do it, you wouldn't do that to him.
- 55:02SPEAKER_04: Have you tried to do it?
- 55:03SPEAKER_03: Have you shirt, Alan?
- 55:04SPEAKER_03: Alan.
- 55:05SPEAKER_03: I was starstruck once in David Lloyd in Newcastle.
- 55:07SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 55:08SPEAKER_03: Like Jim McGlenn was there, and then she was there.
- 55:10SPEAKER_03: I was like, shut up, Jamie.
- 55:12SPEAKER_03: Is he big?
- 55:13SPEAKER_03: I size cough.
- 55:14SPEAKER_03: That's the difference, isn't it?
- 55:16SPEAKER_03: The units.
- 55:16SPEAKER_04: He was just so proper.
- 55:18SPEAKER_04: Men.
- 55:19SPEAKER_03: He looked like hair.
- 55:20SPEAKER_04: He was and yeah.
- 55:21SPEAKER_03: Like, probably wasn't obviously ripped or anything.
- 55:23SPEAKER_03: Just chunking.
- 55:24SPEAKER_03: You'd stand next to the young'uns now or 1920.
- 55:26SPEAKER_03: When I stood in the tunnel, I was big, I wasn't like small.
- 55:30SPEAKER_03: But the young'uns now, you're like, eh.
- 55:33SPEAKER_06: Even that kid on Sunday, that Donovan, he's just a unit.
- 55:36SPEAKER_06: He's a unit.
- 55:37SPEAKER_06: He's a unit.
- 55:38SPEAKER_06: So not a bad team.
- 55:39SPEAKER_06: Very good.
- 55:40SPEAKER_04: 4-3-3.
- 55:41SPEAKER_04: 3-4-3.
- 55:42SPEAKER_03: 3-4-3.
- 55:43SPEAKER_03: Zola can go where he wants.
- 55:45SPEAKER_03: Robinson can go where he wants.
- 55:46SPEAKER_03: No, I think we should do it.
- 55:47SPEAKER_04: Gerard's got it all on defending there.
- 55:50SPEAKER_04: We'll get Adam and get the graphics up.
- 55:52SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 55:53SPEAKER_04: The four teams with Moffs.
- 55:54SPEAKER_04: Have a little vote.
- 55:55SPEAKER_04: And we'll put a vote up.
- 55:56SPEAKER_04: Who's going to win?
- 55:56SPEAKER_04: No, yours is going to win in it.
- 55:57SPEAKER_04: Cup final who's wonning.
- 55:59SPEAKER_04: Oh, there's some fucking some big hatters there.
- 56:01SPEAKER_04: Or teams are throwback.
- 56:04SPEAKER_03: Or who wins the whole season, not just one-off games.
- 56:07SPEAKER_03: Who does it in cold night at Stoke?
- 56:11SPEAKER_03: Long throw ends.
- 56:12SPEAKER_03: Because midfield's not doing it.
- 56:15SPEAKER_04: I know, but you sent a half.
- 56:16SPEAKER_03: Stuart Pierce is Jesus.
- 56:18SPEAKER_03: Cold night at Stoke.
- 56:18SPEAKER_03: Desai, warm night at Stoke.
- 56:21SPEAKER_03: Where's Morgan?
- 56:22SPEAKER_03: Any night.
- 56:22SPEAKER_03: Gerard, any night.
- 56:23SPEAKER_03: Leon Osmond, any night.
- 56:24SPEAKER_03: Prozenecki does what he wants.
- 56:26SPEAKER_03: Zola does what he wants.
- 56:27SPEAKER_03: Shearers up for the fight.
- 56:28SPEAKER_03: Robinson, I'll have to put my arm around him.
- 56:31SPEAKER_03: Put my arm down.
- 56:32SPEAKER_03: Gerard's getting on.
- 56:33SPEAKER_03: See if I can get the most out of you.
- 56:35SPEAKER_03: What are you doing?
- 56:37SPEAKER_03: Right, this is a new one.
- 56:38SPEAKER_03: For the punters, question.
- 56:41SPEAKER_03: We need you to comment on YouTube a one-word answer.
- 56:45SPEAKER_03: And then we'll pick from random and they go in the raffle.
- 56:49SPEAKER_03: But I need you just to comment.
- 56:50SPEAKER_03: All your viewers on YouTube, please just subscribe and just put the comment.
- 56:55SPEAKER_03: So this is the this is our comment this week for our punters.
- 56:59SPEAKER_03: Question.
- 56:59SPEAKER_03: Question.
- 57:00SPEAKER_03: Just one word answer.
- 57:02SPEAKER_03: Right now for Carlell United, if you could have one manager for the rest of the season to get you what you want to do, but to go get promoted?
- 57:13SPEAKER_03: Maybe to go and get promoted, yeah.
- 57:15SPEAKER_03: Would you have Elliot?
- 57:18SPEAKER_03: Mark Hughes or Paul Simpson?
- 57:21SPEAKER_03: Mark Hughes, two words.
- 57:22SPEAKER_03: If tomorrow, all right, Elliot, should we say two words?
- 57:27SPEAKER_03: Rob Elliott, Mark Hughes, or Paul Simpson, one of them in the comment.
- 57:32SPEAKER_03: From this minute forward, same squad.
- 57:35SPEAKER_03: If you can So everything the same, where they are now in the league, everything.
- 57:38SPEAKER_03: Can't buy any players, nothing.
- 57:40SPEAKER_04: From tomorrow's taking it today.
- 57:42SPEAKER_03: Who's taking it from tomorrow to get you where you want to be?
- 57:46SPEAKER_03: Good question.
- 57:47SPEAKER_03: There's promotion winners in there.
- 57:49SPEAKER_03: There's managers who know the team and know the squad.
- 57:52SPEAKER_03: There's injuries coming back.
- 57:54SPEAKER_03: There's a manager there who knows the division off last season with a record number of points, whatever.
- 57:58SPEAKER_03: There's a manager who's got them out the division.
- 58:00SPEAKER_03: So this isn't a slant on any of them.
- 58:03SPEAKER_03: This is one word answer.
- 58:05SPEAKER_03: Who would you pick now, Carl fans, to take you from the rest of the season onwards?
- 58:09SPEAKER_03: Mark Hughes, Rob Elliott, or Paul Simpson?
- 58:12SPEAKER_03: Comment please.
- 58:14SPEAKER_03: And like and subscribe.
- 58:15SPEAKER_03: And like and subscribe.
- 58:17SPEAKER_03: So this is from Matty Bai.
- 58:19SPEAKER_03: Yeah, Matt.
- 58:19SPEAKER_03: Congratulations as well.
- 58:20SPEAKER_03: Yeah, yeah.
- 58:21SPEAKER_03: On the news little one.
- 58:22SPEAKER_03: Um, a couple of footballer events I've had, both when doing parcel delivery.
- 58:28SPEAKER_03: First one was delivering to John Barnes.
- 58:30SPEAKER_03: He wasn't doing that fucking rap, was he?
- 58:32SPEAKER_03: Every time I see John Barnes, he's doing that rap.
- 58:35SPEAKER_03: So what's appeared lately?
- 58:36SPEAKER_03: That Lucasade uh ad back in the 90s in England and he he knocks the thing in the LucasAid comes outonic.
- 58:43SPEAKER_03: It's a little bit camp.
- 58:45SPEAKER_03: Uh a surprisingly understated house on a main road.
- 58:49SPEAKER_03: He answered the door in his dressing gown and clearly wasn't interested in any chat at two in the afternoon.
- 58:55SPEAKER_03: Second one, I wonder what he's up to.
- 58:58SPEAKER_03: Second one, I had a package for Collie and Rooney.
- 59:00SPEAKER_03: This was someplace in Alderley Edge, next door to Rio Ferdinand.
- 59:04SPEAKER_03: I rang the buzzer and a housekeeper answered.
- 59:06SPEAKER_03: Oh, you didn't see them housekeepers on the in thingy with the Rooneys, did you?
- 59:10SPEAKER_03: You called it though.
- 59:11SPEAKER_03: I rang the buzzer and a housekeeper answered, Chinese or something like that.
- 59:15SPEAKER_03: When I said I had a delivery for Rooney and needed a signature, she just kept telling me Wayne was away with England and couldn't do signatures today.
- 59:23SPEAKER_03: Then I said it was for Colleen.
- 59:25SPEAKER_03: She said she wasn't in.
- 59:27SPEAKER_03: And when I said I'll take her signature, she sounded absolutely excited and ran out, giving the most enthusiastic signature anyone's ever given for a delivery.
- 59:34SPEAKER_03: So she's like, I thought she wanted a signature.
- 59:37SPEAKER_03: Jesus.
- 59:37SPEAKER_03: That's from Matty.
- 59:39SPEAKER_03: This is from Gary Parkin.
- 59:40SPEAKER_03: Loving the podcast, as it's great to listen to whilst in the workshop earning a crust.
- 59:45SPEAKER_03: I'm a long-suffering blue, along with father, son, and now, whether he likes it or not, a four-year-old grandson.
- 59:52SPEAKER_03: I don't get many games now living in France.
- 59:55SPEAKER_03: Next time I'm up in the Bordy Border City, I'll put a shout out for a pint.
- 59:59SPEAKER_03: Not a problem.
- 1:00:00SPEAKER_03: Here in France, Rens are my local team who are pretty decent and generally take in each game season.
- 1:00:06SPEAKER_03: If you can get a ticket, I'm doing well then.
- 1:00:08SPEAKER_03: I'm gonna say they do well then, don't they?
- 1:00:09SPEAKER_03: They get good supports.
- 1:00:11SPEAKER_03: Let's just say they are like Newcastle and Sunderland, sold out most games regardless of the league position.
- 1:00:15SPEAKER_03: Very good.
- 1:00:16SPEAKER_03: Take care and keep up a very funny podcast.
- 1:00:19SPEAKER_03: Don't agree with Skip on his opinion of Curly Whirlies.
- 1:00:21SPEAKER_03: The man knows nothing.
- 1:00:23SPEAKER_03: About about chocolate.
- 1:00:25SPEAKER_03: Steady.
- 1:00:25SPEAKER_03: Come on.
- 1:00:26SPEAKER_03: I had the chance to go to Troyes.
- 1:00:28SPEAKER_03: Remember Troy's?
- 1:00:30SPEAKER_03: 20.
- 1:00:30SPEAKER_03: Alone move to Troyes.
- 1:00:32SPEAKER_03: No.
- 1:00:32SPEAKER_03: Nah.
- 1:00:33SPEAKER_03: My mother was nearly crying when I said I'm off the France.
- 1:00:35SPEAKER_03: Another car over the roundabout.
- 1:00:38SPEAKER_03: Grenoble.
- 1:00:39SPEAKER_03: Aye.
- 1:00:40SPEAKER_03: Microvibe took a hit.
- 1:00:42SPEAKER_03: Who's this off?
- 1:00:44SPEAKER_03: Going back to a few weeks ago.
- 1:00:46SPEAKER_03: Oh sorry, this is us.
- 1:00:47SPEAKER_03: Going back to a few weeks ago, we said the best job if we weren't a footballer.
- 1:00:51SPEAKER_03: I said food critic.
- 1:00:53SPEAKER_03: You did?
- 1:00:54SPEAKER_03: Um what was yours?
- 1:00:56SPEAKER_03: Tradesman.
- 1:00:56SPEAKER_03: Tradesman.
- 1:00:57SPEAKER_06: Dream job though.
- 1:00:59SPEAKER_06: No.
- 1:01:00SPEAKER_06: No, as you get older, I've seen like lads make a good living and they've sort of their own boss and stuff like that.
- 1:01:07SPEAKER_05: What did your dream job be?
- 1:01:09SPEAKER_05: What did I say again?
- 1:01:09SPEAKER_06: Oh, this could be anything, this.
- 1:01:11SPEAKER_06: I don't know.
- 1:01:12SPEAKER_06: I don't think I was on that one.
- 1:01:13SPEAKER_05: You were.
- 1:01:13SPEAKER_05: You were?
- 1:01:14SPEAKER_05: What did I say?
- 1:01:15SPEAKER_03: I can't remember.
- 1:01:16SPEAKER_03: I I've got it in my head.
- 1:01:17SPEAKER_03: I have to look back.
- 1:01:18SPEAKER_03: So mine so I've got a new one?
- 1:01:21SPEAKER_03: Did you say golfer?
- 1:01:23SPEAKER_03: I did say golfer.
- 1:01:24SPEAKER_03: Aye.
- 1:01:25SPEAKER_03: Golfer, aye.
- 1:01:26SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 1:01:26SPEAKER_03: Aye, but you don't want to be that good.
- 1:01:28SPEAKER_03: The pressure on.
- 1:01:29SPEAKER_03: You just want to finish like 12 and get like hundreds of the city.
- 1:01:31SPEAKER_04: With the pressure of like one in like 20 million?
- 1:01:34SPEAKER_04: Or I'll walk away with a million.
- 1:01:36SPEAKER_03: Like yeah, but would you if you won the 20 million, would you keep going?
- 1:01:40SPEAKER_06: Would you?
- 1:01:41unknown: No.
- 1:01:43unknown: Yeah, I would.
- 1:01:44SPEAKER_03: Would you have joined Liv as a golfer?
- 1:01:46SPEAKER_03: Rory, I'm Gannon's.
- 1:01:48SPEAKER_03: I'm probably not going to pick another club up.
- 1:01:50SPEAKER_04: You're going to all the best places in the world, best hotels, best food.
- 1:01:54SPEAKER_03: I not watched that.
- 1:01:55SPEAKER_03: What was it?
- 1:01:55SPEAKER_03: Full swing on Netflix.
- 1:01:57SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 1:01:57SPEAKER_03: That was good.
- 1:01:57SPEAKER_03: That was Pulter, wasn't it?
- 1:01:59SPEAKER_03: Oh, I'm seeing.
- 1:01:59SPEAKER_03: He was so the Liv came in and Pulter.
- 1:02:01SPEAKER_03: All them are going, dunno, keeping their cards close to their chest.
- 1:02:04SPEAKER_03: I'd pull.
- 1:02:05SPEAKER_03: I was going, if it comes my way, I'm a certain age.
- 1:02:08SPEAKER_03: I'm going to live.
- 1:02:10SPEAKER_03: Um, so going back.
- 1:02:11SPEAKER_03: So I've found a new one.
- 1:02:13SPEAKER_03: Do you ever watch East Enders?
- 1:02:15SPEAKER_03: Did you watch it back in the day?
- 1:02:16SPEAKER_03: I've watched it back in the day, yeah.
- 1:02:18SPEAKER_03: So you ever seen that stall work I stroke?
- 1:02:21SPEAKER_03: Barmaid Tracy.
- 1:02:22SPEAKER_03: She's an extra.
- 1:02:23SPEAKER_03: She's been in it since the start.
- 1:02:25SPEAKER_03: Right?
- 1:02:26SPEAKER_03: Gets an odd line.
- 1:02:28SPEAKER_03: About does about five days a week, gets 250 quid a day, no pressure, just needs to be behind the bar every now and then.
- 1:02:34SPEAKER_03: Don't you?
- 1:02:35SPEAKER_03: No lines, no nice.
- 1:02:35SPEAKER_03: No lines in that.
- 1:02:36SPEAKER_03: There's a postman walks past every few weeks like that.
- 1:02:38SPEAKER_03: Just a little extra.
- 1:02:39SPEAKER_03: Just a little extra.
- 1:02:40SPEAKER_03: Been in it.
- 1:02:41SPEAKER_03: She does little interviews now.
- 1:02:42SPEAKER_03: Always been in it.
- 1:02:43SPEAKER_03: A little bit of graph going on.
- 1:02:44SPEAKER_03: It's a long time to be in that the minute.
- 1:02:47SPEAKER_03: Since 1985.
- 1:02:48SPEAKER_03: It's been a job.
- 1:02:49SPEAKER_03: And they won't sack her now because everyone likes it.
- 1:02:54SPEAKER_03: Right.
- 1:02:54SPEAKER_03: Well, how long we done there, then?
- 1:02:58SPEAKER_03: 63, right?

- 1:03:18SPEAKER_03: Scott B Denton Home, 1-1.
- 1:03:22SPEAKER_03: So Dalston FC five, Dalston Junior Black Reds five.
- 1:03:25SPEAKER_03: There's definitely a last minute there.
- 1:03:27SPEAKER_03: Defences on top.
- 1:03:28SPEAKER_06: Bit like the game we were at Sunday.
- 1:03:29SPEAKER_03: Longtown FC won.
- 1:03:31SPEAKER_03: The Goslin Bridge one.
- 1:03:32SPEAKER_03: The Goslin are hit and miss.
- 1:03:34SPEAKER_03: Like what a draw is there already, isn't it?
- 1:03:35SPEAKER_03: Goslin's just been refurbed.
- 1:03:38SPEAKER_03: I'm hoping they don't have one bar for uh one queue for food and one queue for the bar.
- 1:03:43SPEAKER_03: Let people stand against the bar.
- 1:03:44SPEAKER_03: I've seen the number 14 here.
- 1:03:47SPEAKER_03: So Scotty won, Deadnome 1.
- 1:03:50SPEAKER_03: Division 2, Carl Rivas 2, Weachy 5, Newleiths 2, Beehive Reunited 2, Stanick's 14, Reunited FC.

- 1:04:42SPEAKER_03: Longtown are strong as well.
- 1:04:43SPEAKER_03: In Division 2, New Lee's host Upperby as Upperby looked to keep the pressure on the Beehive at the top after cutting the points difference at the weekend.
- 1:04:52SPEAKER_03: Reunited player Beehive will want to get back on the winning trail after the draw at the weekend.
- 1:04:56SPEAKER_03: Stanics player Rivas, looking to make it two wins on the spin.
- 1:05:00SPEAKER_03: And finally, We Chief player Clubhouse, with Witchief looking to build on a good win at the weekend.
- 1:05:05SPEAKER_03: So Reunited haven't got a game.

- 1:05:10SPEAKER_03: Right.
- 1:05:10SPEAKER_03: Jack Lettuce.

- 1:05:12SPEAKER_03: Yeah, look up for the game.
- 1:05:13SPEAKER_03: I've got a burrito for at home.
- 1:05:15SPEAKER_03: Dylan, you've got Jelly.
- 1:05:18SPEAKER_06: I'm gonna have to jerk chicken.
- 1:05:19SPEAKER_06: I'm gonna give my missus this one.
- 1:05:21SPEAKER_06: Kung Pao chicken.
- 1:05:22SPEAKER_03: Oh, your missus is gonna film you, it's just having a little taste and a little review.
- 1:05:26SPEAKER_03: We should have to be quick.
- 1:05:28SPEAKER_04: I didn't have Mark Skepvoyd.
- 1:05:31SPEAKER_04: That's what I want.
- 1:05:32SPEAKER_04: That's what I want to see.
- 1:05:34SPEAKER_04: You don't want to see that.
- 1:05:34SPEAKER_04: I do want to see it.
- 1:05:35SPEAKER_04: I do.
- 1:05:35SPEAKER_04: I think we should do it once each.
- 1:05:37SPEAKER_04: We'll just pretend everybody's gonna do it.
- 1:05:42SPEAKER_03: I'll be doing the script.
- 1:05:43SPEAKER_03: Use your feet.
- 1:05:44SPEAKER_03: The raffle, link is going up.
- 1:05:46SPEAKER_03: Man United tops, Alatoon's boots, size seven, DSD strip there, Danny Granger team, Jabo Abiere, um the old bank, yeah, vouchers, the crown and thistle at We've got the Bliss.
- 1:06:02SPEAKER_06: Yeah, but yeah.
- 1:06:03SPEAKER_06: Message mentioned it last week, didn't we?
- 1:06:05SPEAKER_06: Bliss massage.
- 1:06:06SPEAKER_03: The massage.
- 1:06:06SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 1:06:07SPEAKER_03: We've got so much whiskies, rum.
- 1:06:10SPEAKER_06: Quite a few things going.
- 1:06:11SPEAKER_06: And just once again, we appreciate everything that everyone's donated, don't we?
- 1:06:14SPEAKER_03: We're looking at about 1700 quid for the Rose Hill care home.
- 1:06:19SPEAKER_06: And they're looking to get a wet room on the wet room or something, some sort of path in the garden.
- 1:06:24SPEAKER_06: Yeah.
- 1:06:24SPEAKER_06: But or they've they've actually rang me up and they've said can they share it on Facebook?
- 1:06:28SPEAKER_06: Which obviously I said yeah.
- 1:06:29SPEAKER_06: So you can go to uh on there and and get the link and stuff.
- 1:06:33SPEAKER_06: Yeah.
- 1:06:34SPEAKER_03: And um yeah, the question on YouTube.
- 1:06:38SPEAKER_03: Subscribe, please.
- 1:06:39SPEAKER_03: And the question is just one word answer.
- 1:06:42SPEAKER_03: Make sure you get it in the comments.
- 1:06:44SPEAKER_03: Who would you have right now for the rest of the season at Carlisle United to get to where you want us to get Rob Elliott, Mark Hughes, or Paul Simpson?
- 1:06:53SPEAKER_03: Tough question that you'd be surprised with my answer.
- 1:06:56SPEAKER_06: Yeah, I look forward to seeing that.
- 1:06:58SPEAKER_06: When we're next playing Paddle?
- 1:07:00SPEAKER_06: We need to book it.
- 1:07:01SPEAKER_06: Yeah.
- 1:07:02SPEAKER_06: Sunday.
- 1:07:02SPEAKER_06: Can you play Sunday?
- 1:07:06SPEAKER_06: Sunday.
- 1:07:06SPEAKER_06: I mean Newcastle, I mean Killimath.
- 1:07:08SPEAKER_06: Uh no.
- 1:07:09SPEAKER_06: Newcastle Saturday night.
- 1:07:11SPEAKER_03: I didn't authorise your trip into Kilamath.
- 1:07:14SPEAKER_06: Well, it's first weekend, isn't it?
- 1:07:18SPEAKER_03: Right.
- 1:07:19SPEAKER_03: Again, thank you, Dylan, for our weekend.
- 1:07:21SPEAKER_03: Yeah, very good.
- 1:07:22SPEAKER_03: Very, very good it was.
- 1:07:23SPEAKER_03: Jeff, do you think your question's hard enough?
- 1:07:26SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 1:07:27SPEAKER_02: Well got leveled.
- 1:07:28SPEAKER_03: Too high, so I got it straight away.
- 1:07:31SPEAKER_03: And Hunts was a good shout.
- 1:07:33SPEAKER_03: I didn't play that one, Jeff.
- 1:07:34SPEAKER_03: We had got promoted, I pulled, I pulled out.
- 1:07:36SPEAKER_03: Me and Bridgie.
- 1:07:38SPEAKER_03: And you know that game, Adrian Heath went, what's Carl Hawley like?
- 1:07:40SPEAKER_03: I says, decent.
- 1:07:41SPEAKER_03: I says, but look at the keeper, Westwood.
- 1:07:43SPEAKER_03: Then he went a year later.
- 1:07:44SPEAKER_03: I had a Coventry under him.
- 1:07:46SPEAKER_03: 700 grand, Westwood went.
- 1:07:48SPEAKER_04: He was top draw, only last night's game quickly.
- 1:07:51SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 1:07:52SPEAKER_04: Madison.
- 1:07:54SPEAKER_04: Great goal.
- 1:07:55SPEAKER_04: Kiss the badge.
- 1:07:56SPEAKER_03: Oh, did he?
- 1:07:57SPEAKER_04: Against Coventry.
- 1:07:58SPEAKER_03: Oh, aye.
- 1:07:59SPEAKER_03: I don't mind it.
- 1:08:00SPEAKER_03: Fuck him.
- 1:08:00SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 1:08:00SPEAKER_04: He's put a statement on the other day.
- 1:08:02SPEAKER_04: Has he?
- 1:08:02SPEAKER_04: Well apologise.
- 1:08:03SPEAKER_04: Oh, basically.
- 1:08:06SPEAKER_04: I'm basically saying, like, regardless, my first game back, I said I was going to kiss the badge because of the support I've had for the club and all this.
- 1:08:12SPEAKER_04: And then it falls on against Coventry.
- 1:08:14SPEAKER_03: What a goal.
- 1:08:16SPEAKER_04: So don't so if it's against Coventry, don't do it then.
- 1:08:20SPEAKER_04: That was my thought.
- 1:08:21SPEAKER_04: Thinking, what's more important the fact that you're a Coventry fan growing up and they've they gave you that chance.
- 1:08:27SPEAKER_03: So my agent, I went on loan to Barnsley and I'd done two months.
