- 0:10Speaker 1: So you got to send it to us Radio from
- 0:12Speaker 1: hell at X ninety six dot com. Put the best
- 0:14Speaker 1: question in the subject line We'll answer just about anything,
- 0:17Speaker 1: all right.
- 0:18Speaker 2: This one comes to us from JJ.
- 0:21Speaker 1: JJ says, what's the most disappointing concert you've ever attended?
- 0:26Speaker 3: Disappointed?
- 0:28Speaker 4: You know, I've been thinking about that, and I think
- 0:33Speaker 4: the one that keeps coming to my mind is many
- 0:36Speaker 4: years ago, when I was very young, I saw the
- 0:39Speaker 4: Doors in concert and Jim Morrison was so out of
- 0:48Speaker 4: it that it was not enjoyable. Not enjoyable.
- 0:52Speaker 3: Really, Yeah, was that a lagoon? Yes? It was?
- 0:55Speaker 4: And I mean the band was good. Was it was
- 1:00Speaker 4: the concert that they had given?
- 1:03Speaker 3: It was right?
- 1:04Speaker 4: It was so the night before, or two nights before,
- 1:08Speaker 4: they'd been in Miami where Jim Morrison got busted on
- 1:11Speaker 4: stage for obscenity when they claimed that he flashed his
- 1:17Speaker 4: genitals at the ground.
- 1:18Speaker 3: He didn't, but that somebody claimed they saw it. And
- 1:22Speaker 3: the cops were there at that.
- 1:24Speaker 4: Miami waiting for something, waiting for something, and they rested
- 1:29Speaker 4: him on stage. So I think that may have that
- 1:32Speaker 4: probably affected what I mean, he was just out of it.
- 1:34Speaker 1: Well, then he should have been behaving himself here, that's
- 1:39Speaker 1: the case.
- 1:39Speaker 4: Well, I mean he didn't do anything particularly particularly except
- 1:44Speaker 4: he kept yelling occasionally you want to see it. That's
- 1:48Speaker 4: which my girlfriend stood up and yelled.
- 1:50Speaker 2: Yes, yes, but no.
- 1:54Speaker 3: I was kind of disappointed.
- 1:56Speaker 1: I've seen Guns n' Roses many times, maybe more than
- 2:01Speaker 1: anybody else other than bands Festus was in. But the
- 2:06Speaker 1: first time I saw them here, skid Row opened for them.
- 2:11Speaker 2: And they were great, and then we waited.
- 2:15Speaker 5: And waited and waited, and my memory is that when
- 2:22Speaker 5: they finally came out, Axel again was probably very very drunk,
- 2:27Speaker 5: and uh, they did not play very long and he
- 2:30Speaker 5: ended the show early.
- 2:32Speaker 1: Subsequently, I have had good experiences at guns and but
- 2:36Speaker 1: that was okay.
- 2:39Speaker 6: Uh, guy was gonna say Morrissey, but he never showed up.
- 2:44Speaker 6: I would say mine was probably the Bob Dylan show
- 2:47Speaker 6: that we went.
- 2:47Speaker 4: That was pretty disappointing too. Now what's her name? She
- 2:53Speaker 4: was great, was amazing.
- 2:54Speaker 6: Yeah, and then and then Bob came out and he
- 2:57Speaker 6: did his thing.
- 2:58Speaker 4: I mean that part of the problem was there was
- 3:00Speaker 4: that drunk guy that just kept Buley broke bottles.
- 3:05Speaker 6: Yeah, but it was just Bob was just not.
- 3:09Speaker 3: He was trying. He's trying to do something else. I
- 3:11Speaker 3: get it.
- 3:12Speaker 4: He was doing his old songs, but they didn't sound
- 3:14Speaker 4: anything like the old songs. Yeah, I mean I rearranged them,
- 3:18Speaker 4: and yeah, He's just kind of like, what was that?
- 3:21Speaker 6: I mean, you know, I went to say I saw
- 3:24Speaker 6: Bob Dylan, you know, but it was.
- 3:27Speaker 3: Yeah, it was kind of disappointing.
- 3:28Speaker 2: Yeah, okay, we have time for one more. Sure.
- 3:32Speaker 1: This is from Sean good Morning Lords. Who was the
- 3:35Speaker 1: best or favorite person you've ever interviewed?
- 3:38Speaker 4: I interviewed so many people and had really good experiences
- 3:42Speaker 4: for the most part. But for for some reason, I
- 3:45Speaker 4: always think of when and you guys were there and
- 3:47Speaker 4: I interviewed Marina Abramovic the performance artists.
- 3:50Speaker 3: Oh yeah, yeah, God, there was something about.
- 3:52Speaker 4: Her, that interesting person that just just I kept I
- 3:56Speaker 4: could I didn't.
- 3:57Speaker 3: I wanted to go home with her. Where you're going,
- 4:00Speaker 3: I'd like to go with you.
- 4:01Speaker 2: Tell people there are people that don't know.
- 4:03Speaker 4: She's a performance artist and has been a performance artist
- 4:07Speaker 4: for many, many years. She used to do a work
- 4:10Speaker 4: with a guy she was involved with and two of
- 4:14Speaker 4: their works have seen them just on film some of them.
- 4:16Speaker 4: They did one where they spent thirty hours just crashing
- 4:19Speaker 4: into each other, crashing into each other, crashing, and they
- 4:23Speaker 4: were trying to, you know, combine male and female in energy.
- 4:27Speaker 4: And then when they finally decided they were going to
- 4:29Speaker 4: broke up. The break up the art project was he
- 4:32Speaker 4: started at one end of the Great Wall of China
- 4:35Speaker 4: and she started at the other, and they walked the
- 4:38Speaker 4: entire length until they met in the middle. And then
- 4:41Speaker 4: the most I guess recently. She was famous a few
- 4:44Speaker 4: years ago for it's called The Artist Is Present.
- 4:47Speaker 3: Yeah, that's the documentary.
- 4:49Speaker 2: Yeah, there's a Yeah, probably seen clips of that.
- 4:52Speaker 1: There's a bunch of them that are out there on
- 4:54Speaker 1: social media. I bet you've seen one, even if you
- 4:56Speaker 1: didn't know, and they.
- 4:57Speaker 3: Show they show some of that stuff.
- 4:58Speaker 4: I was just mentioning in that documentary it's about her life.
- 5:02Speaker 4: And as she sat in the Museum of Modern Art
- 5:05Speaker 4: I think it was or in the exhibit, and I
- 5:08Speaker 4: think she sat there for two hundred and seventy two
- 5:13Speaker 4: hours or something ridiculous like that, just sat there and
- 5:17Speaker 4: people got in line, and there was a chair across room.
- 5:19Speaker 4: There was a table and a chair across from her,
- 5:21Speaker 4: and you can you would come up and sit down
- 5:23Speaker 4: in the chair.
- 5:24Speaker 2: Don't talk.
- 5:25Speaker 4: Don't talk to her, although I guess they couldn't stop you.
- 5:29Speaker 4: Some people did say some things, but they but you
- 5:32Speaker 4: just sit there and they had a certain amount of
- 5:34Speaker 4: time you could sit there, and then they would say
- 5:36Speaker 4: next please, and she just sat there. She never spoke
- 5:39Speaker 4: to anybody. It was and there was something about it
- 5:42Speaker 4: that was just really amazing.
- 5:44Speaker 6: Kerrie, Uh, I really enjoyed when we had Kiefer Sutherland
- 5:49Speaker 6: in the studio.
- 5:50Speaker 1: That was interesting because he usually when we interview famous people,
- 5:54Speaker 1: they've got they've got their people who are here to say,
- 5:57Speaker 1: you got five minutes with Keiever and we're gonna we
- 5:59Speaker 1: got to He was here.
- 6:01Speaker 2: For an hour.
- 6:02Speaker 4: Well they said we got to go, and he said
- 6:04Speaker 4: no stay. Yeah, you know he was stayed.
- 6:07Speaker 6: With us for a Now, well he was here helping
- 6:09Speaker 6: to promote his kid's band. But you know, you know,
- 6:11Speaker 6: I mean he was entertaining as hell and I still
- 6:16Speaker 6: want to go drinking with him one.
- 6:17Speaker 3: Of these days.
- 6:17Speaker 2: He seemed to be enjoying himself, which was well.
- 6:20Speaker 4: If you want to go drinking with him. That means
- 6:21Speaker 4: you want to go get in a fight somewhere.
- 6:24Speaker 1: I mean mine, I always go to a sting of course,
- 6:27Speaker 1: because that was that was huge me.
- 6:31Speaker 2: I don't get starstruck very often.
- 6:32Speaker 4: And again he stayed in an hour and or he
- 6:36Speaker 4: was even more than an it was more in an hour.
- 6:38Speaker 3: Yeah, he just hung out.
- 6:40Speaker 1: But but my favorite celebrity encounter ever, though I've talked
- 6:45Speaker 1: about this a lot, it's my best and worst celebrity
- 6:49Speaker 1: encounter ever was one sentence from Norm MacDonald.
- 6:54Speaker 3: Oh, yeah, he was with us a couple of times.
- 6:56Speaker 1: Well, here's how you know that, because what he said
- 6:59Speaker 1: to me was, you were a lot funnier the last
- 7:02Speaker 1: time I was here, which was Hey, Norm MacDonald thought
- 7:08Speaker 1: it was funny, but now not so much.
- 7:14Speaker 6: We had bobcat Goldthwaite up at the when we were
- 7:17Speaker 6: up at the U and he came by.
- 7:19Speaker 3: He was he was really great. He's very interesting. Yeah,
- 7:21Speaker 3: and he stuck around and he was I wanted.
- 7:24Speaker 6: To talk the Kinks with him because he's a Kinks fan,
- 7:26Speaker 6: really and you had to go.
- 7:28Speaker 4: And Gilbert Gottfried was wonderful in the studio. He was
- 7:32Speaker 4: with us for a long time. Gilbert Gotfried was great
- 7:35Speaker 4: because he was supposed to be the one telling the jokes,
- 7:38Speaker 4: but we were cracking. We were cracking wise, and he
- 7:40Speaker 4: spent most of his time in the studio laughing at us.
- 7:44Speaker 3: Which I thought was interesting.
- 7:48Speaker 1: So see, just like that, we could have been talking
- 7:51Speaker 1: about whatever your question is, but you got to email
- 7:54Speaker 1: it to US Radio from Hell at X ninety six,
- 7:57Speaker 1: Doc
- 8:00Speaker 2: Seven
