- 1:52Speaker 1: we will be diving into some cold Bishop game film
- 1:57Speaker 1: to break down his standout performance in Week four against
- 1:59Speaker 1: the New Orland Saints and put into perspective really his
- 2:03Speaker 1: play to start the season here in twenty twenty five,
- 2:07Speaker 1: Now that we're at the kind of uneven quarter mark,
- 2:09Speaker 1: there's no real nice even divisions now that there's an
- 2:12Speaker 1: odd number of games each year with seventeen, but the
- 2:14Speaker 1: Bills are four and zero. That's kind of the quarter mark.
- 2:17Speaker 1: So we're at the quarter mark. So I thought it'd
- 2:19Speaker 1: be a good idea to evaluate him, especially with how
- 2:22Speaker 1: much the safety position has been under a microscope this
- 2:25Speaker 1: year for the Bills, this offseason, training camp, preseason, and
- 2:29Speaker 1: then with the start of the year, especially with how
- 2:31Speaker 1: things turned out for the defense as a whole, but
- 2:33Speaker 1: especially Bishop in Week one against the Ravens, and then
- 2:37Speaker 1: he's made steadily, steadily, He's made steady improvements week over
- 2:40Speaker 1: week since that Baltimore game, culminating in a really strong
- 2:44Speaker 1: performance against the New Orleans Saints. So I thought it'd
- 2:46Speaker 1: be really fun to dive into the tape continue the
- 2:48Speaker 1: theme that we've had here on the show of diving
- 2:50Speaker 1: into these schematic and structural elements, whether individually, whether you know,
- 2:55Speaker 1: position group wise, are holistically on the side of the ball,
- 2:57Speaker 1: really continue to break things down here for joining me. Obviously,
- 3:00Speaker 1: on a Wednesday night at nine pm, not our normal
- 3:03Speaker 1: regularly scheduled slot here for disguise coverage, Greg tom Sett
- 3:08Speaker 1: needed to switch uh for some you know, he had
- 3:12Speaker 1: some life complications in from a scheduling standpoint tonight. He
- 3:16Speaker 1: needed to go last night. I had some life complications
- 3:19Speaker 1: last night, so it worked for us to swap. I
- 3:21Speaker 1: also wanted to put in a bonus episode this week
- 3:24Speaker 1: and do some Bills Patriots preview stuff because I think
- 3:26Speaker 1: that's a really fun matchup with some of the things
- 3:29Speaker 1: the Patriots are doing on both sides of the ball,
- 3:31Speaker 1: it being a division game where they are where the
- 3:33Speaker 1: Bills are. Unfortunately, wasn't able to fit that in from
- 3:35Speaker 1: a time perspective this week, but we are diving into
- 3:39Speaker 1: this episode here. Any questions, thoughts, comments, concerns along the way,
- 3:43Speaker 1: feel free to put them into the live chat in
- 3:46Speaker 1: the comments there. Questions, thoughts, comments, concerns, whatever you got,
- 3:50Speaker 1: if you really want something brought up. Obviously, as always,
- 3:55Speaker 1: super chats get priority because I respect the monetary donation,
- 3:58Speaker 1: and the color will distract me from my notes and
- 4:01Speaker 1: kind of bring me away Steve into a bit of
- 4:05Speaker 1: this conversation here before we get into the film. I'm
- 4:08Speaker 1: not gonna bang this drum too much. But you know,
- 4:10Speaker 1: if you guys are regular watchers listeners of the show,
- 4:13Speaker 1: and I think what I'm about to say isn't necessarily more,
- 4:17Speaker 1: He says, Cole Bishop is the devil hybrid of Buddha
- 4:20Speaker 1: Baker and Kyle Hamilton. Isn't the devil hybrid of Booda
- 4:23Speaker 1: Baker Kyle Hamilton? Yeah? What a bust? Am I do? Hashtag?
- 4:25Speaker 1: Am I doing this right? I know? Terrible, terrible, terrible, terrible. Yeah.
- 4:29Speaker 1: I think that kind of fits into it though too.
- 4:31Speaker 1: Like he as I mentioned, he has a bit of
- 4:34Speaker 1: a rough start to the regular season, right gets dribbled
- 4:37Speaker 1: off the turf by Derrick Henry, you know, doesn't have
- 4:40Speaker 1: the best angle or leverage. As you're trying to chase
- 4:42Speaker 1: Henry running through the hole, kind of gets a little
- 4:45Speaker 1: too far out in front of his feet. Henry gets
- 4:47Speaker 1: a stiff arm right into his chest, kind of face
- 4:48Speaker 1: and just dribbles him, bounces him right off the turf
- 4:51Speaker 1: en route to a house call. And you put that
- 4:54Speaker 1: in with some of the injury pieces and a lot
- 4:58Speaker 1: of the projection for him being more are hopeful than
- 5:00Speaker 1: really kind of proof is in the pudding and being seen.
- 5:03Speaker 1: And it was kind of a rough start for Bishop.
- 5:06Speaker 1: And as I started to mention before Kate more, he
- 5:09Speaker 1: had a really good comment. I've oh, this is a
- 5:11Speaker 1: nice coming here from Joey too, saying his arrow has
- 5:13Speaker 1: been pointing up all year and the athletic ability is
- 5:15Speaker 1: starting to show. It's been great to see. I think
- 5:17Speaker 1: that's a tremendous comment. Joey. Well done. Also, all the
- 5:19Speaker 1: people rolling through saying hi, I say hi as well.
- 5:22Speaker 1: Appreciate you. Just the tippy canoe, he says. My cat says,
- 5:25Speaker 1: I say hi to your cat. I love cats. Cats
- 5:27Speaker 1: are awesome. We've talked so much about Bishop on this show,
- 5:31Speaker 1: and I've said it from really from the jump that
- 5:37Speaker 1: you know his his fit in the defense. I thought
- 5:42Speaker 1: he would be better suited for fitting other defenses. You know,
- 5:45Speaker 1: I've talked about it. A bunch of his strengths really
- 5:47Speaker 1: being suited anything in and around the box, coming forward
- 5:49Speaker 1: more of a robber safety, a buzz safety, you know,
- 5:52Speaker 1: coming forward in and around the hook, curls the flats
- 5:55Speaker 1: in and around the line of scrimmage, numbers to sideline,
- 5:58Speaker 1: being able to play almost as kind of like a
- 6:00Speaker 1: big nickel or an apex, even off ball at times,
- 6:02Speaker 1: letting him rush, letting him man cover against running backs
- 6:05Speaker 1: and tight ends, and that type of that type of
- 6:09Speaker 1: play style. And knowing that he was drafted by the Bills.
- 6:12Speaker 1: That's you know, you have Taron Johnson as your nickel,
- 6:15Speaker 1: so that apex type of role isn't going to exist.
- 6:17Speaker 1: And then knowing what they are philosophically and structurally. From
- 6:22Speaker 1: a defensive standpoint, I thought he was going to have to,
- 6:25Speaker 1: you know, get a lot of time on task and
- 6:26Speaker 1: really improving the further he got or the farther he got.
- 6:29Speaker 1: I never get this right from the line of scrimmage,
- 6:31Speaker 1: how he was seeing the game from depth, how he
- 6:33Speaker 1: was processing it, especially from a coverage standpoint. You know,
- 6:36Speaker 1: the run angles obviously change coming from depth, but a
- 6:38Speaker 1: lot of it was from a coverage standpoint, playing with anticipation,
- 6:41Speaker 1: reading route distributions, being able to make plays on the ball.
- 6:44Speaker 1: I thought he was going to need time on task
- 6:45Speaker 1: for that. I didn't think it was necessarily a seamless fit.
- 6:48Speaker 1: I thought this pick was more traits based than it was. Oh,
- 6:54Speaker 1: this guy's a seamless plug and play. Boom, there it goes.
- 6:56Speaker 1: You know, as you know, Joey kind of mentioned there
- 6:58Speaker 1: in the comments with his athletics him he tested off
- 7:01Speaker 1: the charts at the Combine, but I didn't necessarily And
- 7:04Speaker 1: this is a good comment here from Aiden saying, I
- 7:06Speaker 1: remember a lot of the earlier conversations about Bishop being
- 7:09Speaker 1: that he didn't necessarily play to his combine speed and athleticism.
- 7:12Speaker 1: But seeing some flashes of that in this game is exciting.
- 7:15Speaker 1: I think that's a super spot on point, especially when
- 7:17Speaker 1: it gets to the internet. When it comes to the interception,
- 7:19Speaker 1: I should say, which we will get to him break down. Yeah,
- 7:21Speaker 1: and I've been you know, a person who has said
- 7:24Speaker 1: that I was very surprised to see him test at
- 7:28Speaker 1: the level that he tested at at the Combine, after
- 7:31Speaker 1: watching his tape at Utah, after seeing him in person
- 7:34Speaker 1: at the Senior Bowl, I just didn't think this was
- 7:36Speaker 1: like a four four, five forty type of guy. Seventy
- 7:40Speaker 1: six percentile ten yards split, goodt good broad. I didn't
- 7:44Speaker 1: see him as this explosive athlete and you know, this
- 7:48Speaker 1: really great combination of size and speed, but again tested
- 7:50Speaker 1: off the charts. Kuotos to him, well done, But seeing
- 7:55Speaker 1: him progress each week, You're starting to see more of
- 7:59Speaker 1: the athletic cticism start to take hold and show up.
- 8:02Speaker 1: And I think that's tied to some of the confidence
- 8:04Speaker 1: that he's playing with, some of the decisiveness that he's
- 8:07Speaker 1: playing with, which we're also going to talk about here
- 8:09Speaker 1: in this episode. I was like some of the chippiness
- 8:11Speaker 1: and like the nastiness that he's playing with. You know,
- 8:15Speaker 1: there's just a different type of movement to him. You
- 8:19Speaker 1: can tell there's more confidence. You're seeing pre snap communication
- 8:22Speaker 1: and as always I've said on the show, as a
- 8:25Speaker 1: lot of people always say, like, you know, it doesn't
- 8:27Speaker 1: matter how fast you are physically. It does to a degree,
- 8:30Speaker 1: but if you can't play fast mentally, you can't play
- 8:34Speaker 1: fast physically. And I don't think he was a guy
- 8:36Speaker 1: who is necessarily holistically comfortable. You know, he had some
- 8:40Speaker 1: mental errors last year and even in this off season.
- 8:44Speaker 1: But with each passing week, the more time on task
- 8:46Speaker 1: that he gets the more plays that he makes, you
- 8:48Speaker 1: can see that confidence start to build. You can see
- 8:50Speaker 1: more decisiveness in his actions, you can see proper processing.
- 8:53Speaker 1: You can see where his eyes are going and then
- 8:56Speaker 1: where they go to next, and it's like, okay, that
- 8:59Speaker 1: makes sense. And even if things end up not great
- 9:02Speaker 1: for him, if the result isn't great, the process is
- 9:05Speaker 1: getting more sound by the week. It's not like why
- 9:08Speaker 1: would you go from A to C? Why would you
- 9:11Speaker 1: not go to B? He's now going A to B
- 9:13Speaker 1: and then getting to see. Now it's just a matter
- 9:15Speaker 1: of can you get from A to be a little quicker?
- 9:17Speaker 1: Can you get from B to C a little quicker?
- 9:19Speaker 1: Can you get a little bit better with your angles?
- 9:24Speaker 1: And tie that into depth and route distribution recognition and
- 9:27Speaker 1: how to play everything all together. But he is tying
- 9:30Speaker 1: more of the physical ability in and I think that's
- 9:32Speaker 1: tied to playing more confidently mentally and being better from
- 9:36Speaker 1: a processing standpoint and being better with his eyes. And
- 9:38Speaker 1: we're starting to see that athleticism start to take place,
- 9:41Speaker 1: and it's something that's really needed I think for this
- 9:44Speaker 1: defense in general. Benford is a nice combination of size
- 9:47Speaker 1: and speed and athleticism and frame, but He's not some
- 9:50Speaker 1: athletic Marvel or some speed demon. Taylor Rapp is not
- 9:53Speaker 1: an athletic Marvel or a speed demon. Trey White is
- 9:56Speaker 1: a technician more so than he is an athletic Marvel,
- 9:58Speaker 1: which he's never been. And he's also com and off
- 10:00Speaker 1: of multiple significant lower body injuries, so knock that down
- 10:03Speaker 1: even more so. You've got Max Harriston with the speed
- 10:06Speaker 1: and the juice and the burst kind of waiting in
- 10:08Speaker 1: the wings in the future. But this isn't the secondary
- 10:10Speaker 1: with a lot of athleticism. This isn't a group that
- 10:14Speaker 1: has a ton of juice and speed and all this
- 10:17Speaker 1: rass score capability if you subscribe to that on the
- 10:21Speaker 1: back end of this defense. So he's a potential needle mover,
- 10:24Speaker 1: not only for them this year but going forward with
- 10:26Speaker 1: the skill set that he has and the traits that
- 10:28Speaker 1: he has. And I still think pairing him with more
- 10:34Speaker 1: of a ball hawk type of safety is ideal. Micah
- 10:39Speaker 1: High Jordan Poyer, We've talked about this so much. The
- 10:41Speaker 1: interchangeability between the two of them at safety right started
- 10:44Speaker 1: to really I think pave the way across the league
- 10:47Speaker 1: for removing the free and the strong designations from safeties,
- 10:50Speaker 1: and it's not oh on the free safety, on the
- 10:51Speaker 1: strong safety, it's just safety one safety two type of deal.
- 10:55Speaker 1: But it push came to shove, even though they both
- 10:58Speaker 1: could function interchangeably and work whatever role you wanted them to.
- 11:02Speaker 1: Poyer was skewed a little more towards the strong safety aspect.
- 11:05Speaker 1: Hi was skewed a little more towards the free safety aspect.
- 11:08Speaker 1: I think Bishop is more of a souped up Jordan
- 11:11Speaker 1: Poyer and is thus kind of skewed a little bit
- 11:14Speaker 1: more towards a down safety box safety type of role.
- 11:17Speaker 1: Doesn't mean he can't play deep, doesn't mean he can't
- 11:19Speaker 1: get better and play deep especially take advantage of that
- 11:21Speaker 1: athleticism and size and range and physical ability. But his
- 11:26Speaker 1: size and frame and burst and explosion plays so much
- 11:30Speaker 1: better in and around the line of sciomage if you
- 11:31Speaker 1: can pair him with a ball hawking safety on that
- 11:33Speaker 1: back end, with range and processing and anticipation. Knowing that
- 11:38Speaker 1: Bishop can still do some of that as well, I
- 11:41Speaker 1: think you really start to unlock him and really start
- 11:42Speaker 1: to unlock this defense further. But before you can even
- 11:45Speaker 1: get to that conversation, you have to start with, well,
- 11:48Speaker 1: where's cold Bishop as a player, how is he progressing,
- 11:50Speaker 1: what is he doing, and how is he executing with
- 11:54Speaker 1: what is asked of him? Now? Before you can even
- 11:56Speaker 1: consider who are you gonna pair him with? Is he
- 12:00Speaker 1: even the guy to pair with in the future. We
- 12:02Speaker 1: came into this season, I think there was a legitimate
- 12:04Speaker 1: question for some of whether or not Cole Bishop was
- 12:07Speaker 1: the guy or if he was, like, oh man, that's
- 12:08Speaker 1: kind of a wasted pick in the second round right now,
- 12:11Speaker 1: And if he didn't progress this year, what does that
- 12:13Speaker 1: mean for the future, Especially with how Taylor Rapp is
- 12:16Speaker 1: kind of looking this year and how he's looked a
- 12:18Speaker 1: bit last year. It's nice to see where Bishop is
- 12:22Speaker 1: at now, the progress that he's making, how he's starting
- 12:25Speaker 1: to tie in the mental and the physical, and how
- 12:27Speaker 1: the mental is allowing him to play faster and take
- 12:31Speaker 1: advantage of that athleticism. It's extremely, extremely encouraging, especially because
- 12:37Speaker 1: we're only again a quarter of the way in. We're
- 12:40Speaker 1: four games into twenty twenty five. If this upwards trajectory
- 12:43Speaker 1: that he's on now and this week over week steady
- 12:45Speaker 1: improvement increases, imagine what he could be by week eight
- 12:48Speaker 1: and week twelve and week sixteen. And by the playoffs
- 12:50Speaker 1: and so on and so forth, and then he kind
- 12:52Speaker 1: of where does it stop from there? What does that
- 12:54Speaker 1: ceiling still look like going into year three or potentially
- 12:56Speaker 1: going into year four, especially if he can stay healthy
- 12:58Speaker 1: and continue to get more time on tasks. So really
- 13:01Speaker 1: encouraged by his play this year and what they've asked
- 13:04Speaker 1: of him, especially because they have also asked him to
- 13:08Speaker 1: play deep in split high looks, single high looks as
- 13:11Speaker 1: that post safety. Watching him seeing him again little by
- 13:15Speaker 1: little every single week, getting a bit better, getting a
- 13:18Speaker 1: bit better, getting him getting a bit more confident executing.
- 13:23Speaker 1: It's been really really encouraging to see from mister cole Bishop.
- 13:28Speaker 1: So very happy with that. Let's let's dive into some
- 13:32Speaker 1: of the comments and then we will dive into the tape.
- 13:36Speaker 1: RJ says, do the Bills have the worst third and
- 13:38Speaker 1: long defense of all time? It seems like if it
- 13:40Speaker 1: is third and seven or more, it's automatically the other team.
- 13:43Speaker 1: I feel so much better with third and two verse
- 13:45Speaker 1: third and fourteen. Yeah, it's we talked about this ad
- 13:48Speaker 1: nauseum last year and even starting into this year. Their
- 13:51Speaker 1: their struggles on third down in general exist, but they
- 13:55Speaker 1: are so they were one of the worst teams on
- 13:57Speaker 1: third down across a multitude of metrics in twenty twenty four,
- 14:00Speaker 1: and they were even worse on third and long. There
- 14:03Speaker 1: you know, third and seven or plus arguably probably the
- 14:06Speaker 1: worst defense on third down, and you know on third
- 14:09Speaker 1: and long and even you can make the case on
- 14:10Speaker 1: third down in general just to disconnect between pass, rush
- 14:14Speaker 1: and coverage. You know, guys on the outside playing too soft,
- 14:19Speaker 1: and so when you finally do get pressure, it doesn't
- 14:21Speaker 1: matter because there's quick options that are available and the
- 14:23Speaker 1: quarterback takes advantage of it. Rush not getting home, pressure
- 14:27Speaker 1: not being generated. But then you know, with the not
- 14:29Speaker 1: getting home part, pressure being generated, quarterbacks not getting brought down,
- 14:32Speaker 1: rush lane integrity, lacking, just gaps in coverage and blown assignments.
- 14:37Speaker 1: It's really just been a multitude of things that have
- 14:39Speaker 1: been a struggle for them on third down going back
- 14:41Speaker 1: to last year, and it's continued to a degree this year.
- 14:43Speaker 1: I'm hoping, you know, you get Malano back, you get
- 14:46Speaker 1: at Oliver back, you get Michael Hoyt, you get larryog
- 14:50Speaker 1: and Joby. I'm hoping, you know, as the depth of
- 14:53Speaker 1: their front increases, you can maybe get some success on
- 14:59Speaker 1: third down and again, but I do think the back
- 15:03Speaker 1: end piece needs to improve, you know, from a cover,
- 15:06Speaker 1: a marriage of you know, the marriage between rush and coverage.
- 15:10Speaker 1: There's just guys open underneath at times still and the
- 15:13Speaker 1: hooked curls and the flats. They had a nice they
- 15:14Speaker 1: had a nice blitz and it's the one where Rattler
- 15:17Speaker 1: completed it to the tight end. It's third down and
- 15:22Speaker 1: the Bills blitz. There's man behind it and Trey is
- 15:25Speaker 1: just sitting at the six, so it's like third and
- 15:27Speaker 1: seven and he's expecting Ratler to throw it underneath quickly
- 15:30Speaker 1: because of the pressure, and he jumps it, gets his
- 15:33Speaker 1: hand on it and almost rips it away from the
- 15:34Speaker 1: tight end. It ends up being a completion, but because
- 15:36Speaker 1: Trey White's right there, it's a tackle, it's a third down,
- 15:39Speaker 1: they get the stop. They need more of that instead
- 15:42Speaker 1: of Trey playing soft and the ball being completed underneath him.
- 15:45Speaker 1: That's happened to Benford multiple times too. It happened to
- 15:47Speaker 1: him in the Miami game. It happened to him in
- 15:49Speaker 1: this game against the Saints, specifically on that one old
- 15:52Speaker 1: lave one where the Bills headed him up a bit
- 15:54Speaker 1: quickly heated up Ratler quickly, i should say, and he
- 15:57Speaker 1: hit it on the out to a lave and a
- 15:59Speaker 1: lobby just didn't get his head around in time. He
- 16:00Speaker 1: had to catch it like past his face, bobbled it
- 16:02Speaker 1: a bit, was incomplete. It just seems like so much.
- 16:05Speaker 1: They're either not getting pressure and quarterbacks have plenty of
- 16:09Speaker 1: time to throw, or there's gaps in their coverage and
- 16:12Speaker 1: guys are wide open, or they do get pressure, but
- 16:15Speaker 1: it's a quick it's a quick throw, there's a quick
- 16:16Speaker 1: answer for the QB. It's telegraphed and they got it.
- 16:19Speaker 1: There's just still I think a disconnect. I think the
- 16:21Speaker 1: third down defense is still a work in progress. Hopefully,
- 16:25Speaker 1: as guys come back healthy and as the dis defense
- 16:27Speaker 1: continues to play together, they can get better. But they
- 16:32Speaker 1: have a lot of cleaning up to do on the
- 16:33Speaker 1: defensive side of the wall. Even from a run fit standpoint,
- 16:35Speaker 1: gap integrity has been poor. You got multiple guys in
- 16:37Speaker 1: the same gap. A lot of it has been the rookies,
- 16:39Speaker 1: you know, t J. Sanders, that happening to him, Dean Walker,
- 16:42Speaker 1: it happens to them a bunch. But they're just kind
- 16:44Speaker 1: of getting caught in ways that they need to clean
- 16:47Speaker 1: up from a from a significant standpoint. H. David says,
- 16:52Speaker 1: where do the Bills rank in missed tackles? Oh, that
- 16:57Speaker 1: is a good, good question. I have not looked that
- 17:02Speaker 1: up this year so far, but I'm going to guess
- 17:07Speaker 1: and venture a guest that it's probably not great and
- 17:09Speaker 1: it's been an issue to kind of plague them in
- 17:10Speaker 1: the past several weeks. That's a good question. I'll look
- 17:12Speaker 1: that up and have this for the next episode or
- 17:16Speaker 1: something on social if you want to get at me there.
- 17:18Speaker 1: Ken says, the Bills will draft of safety next year
- 17:20Speaker 1: when Rap is in his final year, probably with different
- 17:22Speaker 1: traits than Bishop. I'm interested to see that pairing again.
- 17:25Speaker 1: If Bishop solidifies himself, cool, what do you pair him with?
- 17:29Speaker 1: Who do you pair him with? Do you pair him
- 17:30Speaker 1: with another Bishop and you just go with pure traits
- 17:32Speaker 1: and athleticism, or do you lean into more of the
- 17:34Speaker 1: skill set and think about the complimentary football aspect. Aiden says,
- 17:43Speaker 1: in your opinion, would potentially signing Chauncey Gardner Johnson Chauncey CJ.
- 17:48Speaker 1: Gardner Johnson. I do this all the time. I try
- 17:50Speaker 1: to go with the full name or I'm just going
- 17:51Speaker 1: to go with the initials. In your opinion, would potentially
- 17:54Speaker 1: signing C J, G J help be a more beneficial pairing,
- 17:58Speaker 1: or the character concerns slash fit too much of a detractor.
- 18:01Speaker 1: I think the character concerns are a bit of a
- 18:03Speaker 1: no go him kind of running himself out. From the
- 18:05Speaker 1: outside looking in, it looks like he's run himself out
- 18:08Speaker 1: of three teams at this point and three different scenarios.
- 18:12Speaker 1: I wanted him a couple of years ago, just with
- 18:14Speaker 1: his skill set, I thought he would fit really well.
- 18:16Speaker 1: I thought the juice that he brought, his ability to
- 18:18Speaker 1: kind of man cover in the slot, the tenacity to physicality,
- 18:21Speaker 1: the violence. But I don't know. I don't think the
- 18:24Speaker 1: Bill's culture is is suspect. I think they could absorb
- 18:30Speaker 1: someone like that and kind of smooth over the rough
- 18:33Speaker 1: edges and could assimilate him into the culture. I just
- 18:35Speaker 1: don't know if the risk is if the juice is
- 18:37Speaker 1: worth the squeeze there, And then with his skill set,
- 18:40Speaker 1: I don't think it's necessarily ideal pairing with Bishop, So
- 18:45Speaker 1: I don't love that option. I did a couple of
- 18:47Speaker 1: years ago. If Rapp wasn't here, I would not if
- 18:50Speaker 1: Rapp wasn't here if there was a different skill set
- 18:53Speaker 1: in the safety room. You know, I think I do
- 18:57Speaker 1: think he brings coverage aspects to him, but it's the
- 18:59Speaker 1: last deep and range coverage aspects and more come forward
- 19:03Speaker 1: drop the hammer, Apex, big Nickel Blitz, more of a
- 19:08Speaker 1: physical downhill type of presence, and I think they need
- 19:10Speaker 1: more of a back end range ballhawk type of presence.
- 19:13Speaker 1: From an athleticism and jew standpoint, I would take him
- 19:15Speaker 1: over wrap. I would rather have a Bishop and you know,
- 19:21Speaker 1: Chauncey Garner junior pairing. But I still don't think it's
- 19:26Speaker 1: like great in terms of complimentary And then again, what's
- 19:29Speaker 1: going on between the years with him? Yeah, I don't know,
- 19:31Speaker 1: it's crazy. Charles says, I think the Bills need a
- 19:34Speaker 1: better marriage of pass Russian coverage between injuries, suspension, the
- 19:37Speaker 1: new players. It just hasn't looked connected. I think that
- 19:39Speaker 1: is very very well set. What else do we get?
- 19:44Speaker 1: What else do we got? John Roberts says Cole has
- 19:47Speaker 1: only started eight games. He gets better with more reps.
- 19:49Speaker 1: If you get if he can stay healthy and continue
- 19:52Speaker 1: to stack and continue to get more time on task,
- 19:56Speaker 1: I don't I don't want to say sky's the limit,
- 19:58Speaker 1: but I mean the traits are awesome and they can
- 20:00Speaker 1: tap into that if they can. They've been so good
- 20:02Speaker 1: at getting a lot of blood from the stone when
- 20:04Speaker 1: it comes to guys in the secondary, and he's got
- 20:06Speaker 1: a lot of blood in that stone. JG says, I
- 20:11Speaker 1: wonder do the Bills ask their d line to maintain
- 20:13Speaker 1: rustling integrity as a priority. I almost hope not, because
- 20:15Speaker 1: they never seem to do it. I think it's more
- 20:17Speaker 1: of just they they opt for. It's some of it's again,
- 20:22Speaker 1: when you're playing against top to your dudes, it it's
- 20:25Speaker 1: bound to happen where you lose rush lane integrity. And
- 20:27Speaker 1: then even if you get a little rush focused, if
- 20:29Speaker 1: the timing is off or your angle is off, it's
- 20:31Speaker 1: easy to kind of lose contain. But I think it's
- 20:33Speaker 1: more just they opt for a lot of compression on
- 20:37Speaker 1: the outside. They're not upfront that's really based on athleticism
- 20:41Speaker 1: and change the direction and dip and bend and movement.
- 20:43Speaker 1: It's more power length compression type of dude. So when
- 20:47Speaker 1: you start compressing, if that angle doesn't work out perfectly
- 20:50Speaker 1: and someone steps out of it, they don't have there
- 20:54Speaker 1: are a lot of their guys upfront don't have the
- 20:55Speaker 1: athleticism or the bend or the flexibility to quickly stop
- 20:58Speaker 1: on a dime turn chain angles. They're not this long
- 21:01Speaker 1: speed type of team or even bursty type of team.
- 21:04Speaker 1: When it comes to their front, everything is power, length
- 21:06Speaker 1: and compression, and that puts even more emphasis on your
- 21:10Speaker 1: angles and your rush lanes and getting quarterbacks off their
- 21:14Speaker 1: spot or getting to the quarterback spot, I should say.
- 21:17Speaker 1: And if you're often the slightest, it just makes it
- 21:19Speaker 1: that much harder. Because you are, you're not really built
- 21:23Speaker 1: to kind of deal with the mobility that comes from
- 21:26Speaker 1: losing that integrity or having to change direction or having
- 21:29Speaker 1: to quickly pivot from where you are and move somewhere
- 21:31Speaker 1: else and kind of do something about it. But it
- 21:34Speaker 1: is what it is, Joe says. The passage and coverage
- 21:38Speaker 1: are separated currently in on pace to be divorced unless
- 21:40Speaker 1: they clean it up. Yeah, they it's really frustrating. They
- 21:44Speaker 1: just it seems very much like a lot of the
- 21:46Speaker 1: issues that they have this year are what plagued them
- 21:49Speaker 1: last year, even going down to the run defense. But again,
- 21:51Speaker 1: I mean that's the type of the body types they
- 21:53Speaker 1: leaned into on the interior it was expected. It seems
- 21:56Speaker 1: very much like they've just leaned into what they did
- 21:59Speaker 1: last sure, just leaned into it harder. There have been
- 22:02Speaker 1: some wrinkles, some five man pressure stuff su simulated and
- 22:04Speaker 1: some creeper stuff that's been effective. And I do think
- 22:08Speaker 1: they are conscious and cognizant of not showing their hand
- 22:11Speaker 1: too early. And I do think Michael Hoyt will lead
- 22:13Speaker 1: to a lot of chess piece to re upfront. But yeah,
- 22:16Speaker 1: it's it's I don't know, it's disappointing at times to
- 22:20Speaker 1: watch and kind of boring with some of the things
- 22:22Speaker 1: they do, and then you see some flashes of creativity
- 22:24Speaker 1: and some fun stuff and then it kind of just
- 22:26Speaker 1: falls by the wayside a bit. Mmmmmmm. What else Ralph
- 22:37Speaker 1: says with this last game being Bishops a professional start,
- 22:40Speaker 1: I think the kid is doing fine so far. Yeah.
- 22:41Speaker 1: I think a lot of people kind of wrote him
- 22:43Speaker 1: off early, which I don't want to say is understandable,
- 22:46Speaker 1: but not understandable from a logistics standpoint, but understandable I
- 22:51Speaker 1: think because of how reactionary people are at times, and
- 22:59Speaker 1: some of the stuff he had, like some of the
- 23:00Speaker 1: struggles he had were ugly I think that's a fair
- 23:02Speaker 1: kind of thing to think about and recognize. But yeah,
- 23:08Speaker 1: they've I think there's a lot of as people are
- 23:11Speaker 1: wanted to do, a lot of overreaction when it comes
- 23:13Speaker 1: to Cole Bishop. I wanted to go back to David's
- 23:18Speaker 1: comment earlier on the David You followed it up. He said,
- 23:20Speaker 1: the Bill's mistackle ravers is saying, so it's twenty six percent.
- 23:22Speaker 1: Apparently I looked it up there. From a run defense standpoint,
- 23:27Speaker 1: where are we here the Bills rate of broken tackles
- 23:32Speaker 1: plus mistackles, you know, per rush, they have the fifth
- 23:37Speaker 1: highest at fifteen point four percent. So if you wanted
- 23:39Speaker 1: to look at at it inversely, where you know, if
- 23:42Speaker 1: you're first, you're the best, meaning you have the least
- 23:45Speaker 1: amount of mistackles and broken tackles, they're twenty eighth in
- 23:48Speaker 1: the league. They have a fifteen point four percent broken
- 23:53Speaker 1: tackle and mistackle rate, which is very much not good.
- 23:56Speaker 1: Then also they have the fourth highest yards after contact
- 24:00Speaker 1: per attempt at three point seven, which is also if
- 24:04Speaker 1: you guessed it, not good. And then they also have
- 24:09Speaker 1: the fifth highest yards before contact per attempt at one
- 24:13Speaker 1: point five to nine. So if you're adding all those
- 24:15Speaker 1: things together. Guys are getting blown off the ball. Guys
- 24:18Speaker 1: are gaining about a yard and a half before they
- 24:19Speaker 1: even get touched, and then they're gaining about three point
- 24:22Speaker 1: seven yards after they get touched. Granted, that can be
- 24:26Speaker 1: scored differently if if you just get it, if a
- 24:27Speaker 1: defender just gets a hand on somebody, that can count
- 24:30Speaker 1: as contact to a greater But yeah, fifteen point four
- 24:34Speaker 1: percent broken tackle and mistackle rate on the year, which
- 24:37Speaker 1: puts them at again, what did I say, twenty eighth?
- 24:42Speaker 1: So not great. The only teams that are lower than
- 24:44Speaker 1: them are the Jets, Texans, Saints, and Giants. I want
- 24:49Speaker 1: to get back to that comment. Good, good question about
- 24:51Speaker 1: that earlier. What else? What else? Oh JJ says, is
- 24:56Speaker 1: Bosa losing the edge as often as it looks? Is
- 24:58Speaker 1: that not his responsibility? Is Bosa losing the edges offen
- 25:02Speaker 1: as it looks? Yes? Is that not his responsibility? Yes,
- 25:06Speaker 1: it is. He's taken some risks, kind of putting himself
- 25:10Speaker 1: out of position. Also, I think some of it is schematic,
- 25:13Speaker 1: like not being prepared for the Saints, knowing that they
- 25:16Speaker 1: were gonna run QB counter bash, not being prepared for
- 25:19Speaker 1: it and kind of you know, being again unprepared and
- 25:23Speaker 1: kind of shocked that they ran it, and then they
- 25:24Speaker 1: ran it again and Bosa adjusted but his angle wasn't
- 25:27Speaker 1: right and Kamara made a play. But a lot of
- 25:29Speaker 1: it is just losing contained from an individual standpoint, you
- 25:32Speaker 1: have to execute better individually, and then I think some
- 25:35Speaker 1: of it a little bit is game planning and preparation.
- 25:41Speaker 1: Ken says Dean Walker doesn't always keep his gap, but
- 25:43Speaker 1: he's the most exciting D lineman since Oliver. Not perfect
- 25:46Speaker 1: but fun. Yeah, I think he's been fun. The flashes
- 25:48Speaker 1: are good. I think the positives are really exciting and
- 25:51Speaker 1: really encouraging. I think a lot of people are glossing
- 25:54Speaker 1: over the negatives. He's getting blown off the ball a bunch,
- 25:59Speaker 1: almost as equal is he's making splash plays, especially versus
- 26:02Speaker 1: double teams. He's getting knocked like two, three, four, five
- 26:04Speaker 1: yards down or up and taking the wrong gap at times,
- 26:07Speaker 1: which again I think he can correct some of that.
- 26:10Speaker 1: I do think the areas of opportunities game are being
- 26:13Speaker 1: glossed over because it's like, oh, look at this big dude,
- 26:15Speaker 1: make these fun plays. Cool. But for me, he is
- 26:19Speaker 1: ahead of schedule with where I thought he'd be right
- 26:21Speaker 1: now and I am pleasantly encouraged by what he's done.
- 26:27Speaker 1: Can we get a five second tray Amos ran I
- 26:28Speaker 1: refuse to speak on Trey Amos, but he's looked good
- 26:30Speaker 1: for Washington. Shout out to him. I want to get
- 26:38Speaker 1: to this really quick, and then we'll dive into tape.
- 26:40Speaker 1: Michael says, what are your thoughts on Trey White's play
- 26:42Speaker 1: so far this season? I feel like he got picked
- 26:43Speaker 1: on the Dolphins game. He had some really good plays
- 26:45Speaker 1: against the Dolphins against the run, and a nice rep
- 26:48Speaker 1: in quarters, I believe, breaking up a pass for Tyreek Hill.
- 26:52Speaker 1: Then he got beat inside on that touchdown. A waddle
- 26:55Speaker 1: got beat on Mesh which was designed to pick him
- 27:00Speaker 1: or any corner off the rub route underneath and wattles
- 27:04Speaker 1: super fast, and then he gave up some stuff underneath
- 27:06Speaker 1: from a coverge standpoint. But I think that's more of
- 27:08Speaker 1: the scheme than it is him. I think he's been good,
- 27:10Speaker 1: and I think he's been fine. I don't think he's
- 27:12Speaker 1: been some all pro revelatory player. I don't think he's
- 27:15Speaker 1: been as bad as people are making him out to be.
- 27:17Speaker 1: I think I think we're at a point where, at
- 27:20Speaker 1: least from a social media perspective. I see anytime Trey
- 27:23Speaker 1: White gives up a completion, everybody's like he sucks and
- 27:26Speaker 1: he's terrible, And then Christian Benford gives up the same
- 27:29Speaker 1: completion and it's crickets and nobody says anything. I just think,
- 27:32Speaker 1: if we're gonna grade, if we're gonna talk about one
- 27:35Speaker 1: in that light, we either have to talk about both
- 27:37Speaker 1: in that light or neither in that light. And again,
- 27:39Speaker 1: that's why I think the scheme part is important, because
- 27:42Speaker 1: both guys are giving up similar type of completions underneath,
- 27:46Speaker 1: but one is getting dragged for it and the other
- 27:48Speaker 1: one is not. And even I think some of the
- 27:50Speaker 1: completions that Trey has given up he's been in decent
- 27:53Speaker 1: position for it. But it is what it is. Adrian says,
- 27:56Speaker 1: do you think Bobby Babbage has a fall for the
- 27:58Speaker 1: Bill's third down issues? I definitely think some the blame
- 28:00Speaker 1: would lay at his feet, given the fact that he's
- 28:02Speaker 1: the defensive coordinator, and especially because we're seeing the same
- 28:06Speaker 1: issues happen to different players, it makes me think it's
- 28:08Speaker 1: more schematic than it is individual. JG says, Jacob Parris
- 28:12Speaker 1: is looking good too. He is man. He looks really
- 28:14Speaker 1: good for Tampa Bay. I watch the Bucks Defense almost
- 28:16Speaker 1: every week, namely so I can watch Parish, although I
- 28:20Speaker 1: love Antoine Winfield Junior and Elijah Canci and take Smith.
- 28:23Speaker 1: But yeah, Dicab Parris is sweet, doing really well at
- 28:26Speaker 1: Nicol for the Bucks and playing a little bit on
- 28:28Speaker 1: the outside too. It's cool, John Robert, this is a
- 28:30Speaker 1: good comedy, he says, I was surprised Daiwon Jones played
- 28:32Speaker 1: some three tech. I think it's a testament to how
- 28:35Speaker 1: versatile he is and how awesome he is. And another
- 28:38Speaker 1: little fun nugget date when Ed Oliver's healthy, Daikon Jones
- 28:42Speaker 1: is the starting one tech. The fact that with Ed
- 28:45Speaker 1: banged up, they just put Daiquon at the three is
- 28:49Speaker 1: another indicator that even they're starting one tech, they're starting
- 28:52Speaker 1: like big bodied type of dude in theory is still
- 28:55Speaker 1: built more to play three tech than he is one tech.
- 28:59Speaker 1: That's what they like on the inside. Yeah, so we see,
- 29:03Speaker 1: we see, we see, we see. I am going to
- 29:07Speaker 1: start to bring up the film questions, thoughts, comments, concerns.
- 29:10Speaker 1: Feel free to continue to put them up into the
- 29:12Speaker 1: chat as we do here on the show. I will
- 29:15Speaker 1: once we get down and done with the tape. I
- 29:17Speaker 1: will go back and start scrolling through. If there's anything
- 29:20Speaker 1: I miss obviously given again priority to super chats, but
- 29:23Speaker 1: anything you got questions, thoughts, comments, concerns, concerns, feel free
- 29:26Speaker 1: to put them up into the chat, as we do
- 29:31Speaker 1: here on this show. Let us go to the tape. Now.
- 29:39Speaker 1: I'm going to take off the banner and drop myself
- 29:44Speaker 1: down and we're gonna go full screen. Okay, good. I
- 29:48Speaker 1: was gonna ask everybody, like I'm on a zoom call,
- 29:49Speaker 1: can everybody see my screen? But none of you can speak,
- 29:53Speaker 1: I won't be able to hear anything, but I guess
- 29:54Speaker 1: I could check in the chat, but I'm fairly component
- 29:56Speaker 1: you can all see my screen, all right? This first play,
- 29:59Speaker 1: this isn't anything, This isn't anything structural they were going
- 30:02Speaker 1: to look at. I just wanted to use this as
- 30:07Speaker 1: an example of kind of the edge and the chippiness
- 30:09Speaker 1: that Cole Bishop was playing with this year and really
- 30:12Speaker 1: kind of with each passing week. I think you see
- 30:14Speaker 1: it at the tackle point. You see it when he's
- 30:18Speaker 1: finishing again. It gets a wide receiver against a tight end.
- 30:21Speaker 1: It gets a running back when he comes forward and
- 30:23Speaker 1: he makes contact Again, some of it is tied to
- 30:25Speaker 1: being a bigger type of safety and having some speed,
- 30:28Speaker 1: so you know, more force times mass equals more impact
- 30:31Speaker 1: when he especially against guys that are smaller than him.
- 30:34Speaker 1: But he's been playing with a bit more of an edge,
- 30:36Speaker 1: a little bit of nastiness, a little bit of sandpaper
- 30:38Speaker 1: to his game. And I really noticed it right off
- 30:40Speaker 1: rip week two against the Jets. So again they have
- 30:44Speaker 1: that first game and gets Baltimore. He gets dribbled off
- 30:46Speaker 1: the ground by Derrick Henry. This is the first play
- 30:48Speaker 1: of the game for the Bills. Cole Bishop is circled
- 30:51Speaker 1: here in the blue. This is Garrett Wilson down here
- 30:56Speaker 1: at the slot. So again, this isn't anything schematic, isn't
- 30:59Speaker 1: anything structural. I just want to show watch what cool
- 31:02Speaker 1: Bishop does as he spins down here. So the only
- 31:05Speaker 1: thing structure I'll talk about. He's gonna spin down, Rap's
- 31:08Speaker 1: gonna spin in the post, right, So that's it. But
- 31:10Speaker 1: watch Bishop b line it and just get a little
- 31:15Speaker 1: physical and a little mean with Garrett Wilson. He's been
- 31:20Speaker 1: doing things like this each week. Not dirty, not over
- 31:23Speaker 1: the line, not after the whistle, but just a little
- 31:26Speaker 1: a little bit of edge, a little bit of nastiness,
- 31:28Speaker 1: a little bit of intensity. This one I think is
- 31:30Speaker 1: particularly great because it's the first play of the game.
- 31:33Speaker 1: Defensively for the Bills. You set the tone right away,
- 31:35Speaker 1: and Garrett Wilson is their best player on offense. Maybe
- 31:39Speaker 1: for some it's Breeze Hall. I think it's Garrett Wilson.
- 31:41Speaker 1: He is their dude. And right off rip you are
- 31:44Speaker 1: spinning down, getting physical with him, making contact with him
- 31:47Speaker 1: and kind of just letting him know like it's gonna
- 31:48Speaker 1: be that kind of day for you. You're gonna get
- 31:50Speaker 1: hit early and often evil when you're not getting the ball,
- 31:53Speaker 1: the plays run away from you. It's not going to you.
- 31:56Speaker 1: You're not to the point of contact. They're not coming
- 31:58Speaker 1: to your side. That's fine. I'm hitting you. You're getting popped.
- 32:01Speaker 1: And again he's not decleting him. It's not some blindside hit,
- 32:05Speaker 1: it's not dirty, it's not over the line. Just make
- 32:07Speaker 1: contact once, bang, do it again. I like that. A
- 32:10Speaker 1: little bit intensity, the grit, the sandpaper, the tenacity. He's
- 32:13Speaker 1: been doing things like this week in and week out,
- 32:16Speaker 1: really since week two, and again, I think if you
- 32:19Speaker 1: want to kind of look at things like this as
- 32:22Speaker 1: he's starting to gain more confidence or he's starting to
- 32:25Speaker 1: play again more decisively. It's not him just kind of
- 32:29Speaker 1: moving around back there and trying to find his way.
- 32:32Speaker 1: It's him being decisive. He's decisive in his reads, he's
- 32:35Speaker 1: decisive in his movements, and even little things like that
- 32:37Speaker 1: are I think are little indicators of the confidence that
- 32:41Speaker 1: he's playing with. Maybe a little bit of the swagger
- 32:42Speaker 1: that he's playing with, but I like that little piece.
- 32:44Speaker 1: Step up, make somebody know that you're going to be there.
- 32:47Speaker 1: They gave Garrett Wilson some extra attention in that week
- 32:51Speaker 1: in a variety of ways, which is cool to see.
- 32:53Speaker 1: But yeah, it's been nice to kind of again see
- 32:58Speaker 1: those little limpses of chippiness from him. And if you
- 33:01Speaker 1: can get a dude with that kind of athleticism who
- 33:04Speaker 1: can also be chippy and violent, that's really fun. All Right,
- 33:07Speaker 1: This next one, we're going to look at schematic here
- 33:10Speaker 1: against the New Orleans Saints. We are going to get Actually,
- 33:13Speaker 1: this is a fun one. Feel free to call it
- 33:16Speaker 1: out if you want, but this is Joey Bosa over here.
- 33:18Speaker 1: This is the first time the Saints run that QB bash,
- 33:22Speaker 1: so Bash essentially just means back away, and the back
- 33:26Speaker 1: is going away from the blocking. So if you notice,
- 33:29Speaker 1: we're going to get a pole here from the left guard,
- 33:33Speaker 1: and we're gonna get a pole here from the left tackle,
- 33:35Speaker 1: and then the back is essentially going to go away
- 33:37Speaker 1: from that. Spencer Ratler is going to read that front
- 33:41Speaker 1: side edge being mister Joey Bosa. If Bosa crashes down,
- 33:44Speaker 1: he's going to give to Kamara. If Bosa were to
- 33:47Speaker 1: kind of sit here, rather would fake to give to
- 33:50Speaker 1: Kamara and then go and follow that blocking action and
- 33:53Speaker 1: turn it into a counter bash. So I'll just bring
- 33:55Speaker 1: that up really quickly because I know it's been a
- 33:57Speaker 1: focus for a lot of people. Bosa crashes down, Rattler
- 34:00Speaker 1: gives it to Kamara, there's nobody outside, Kamara takes off.
- 34:04Speaker 1: So not great. But what is great on this one
- 34:08Speaker 1: is coal Bishop. So if we are looking at it
- 34:11Speaker 1: as I have labeled here, this is cold Bishop fitting
- 34:14Speaker 1: the run from depth as that single high post safety.
- 34:16Speaker 1: As we've talked about. We did actually the cold Bishop
- 34:19Speaker 1: breakdown back during the preseason. That's how much of a
- 34:25Speaker 1: focus he has been when we talked about kind of
- 34:27Speaker 1: being a single high safety or a post safety, you
- 34:30Speaker 1: are a post helper first and foremost. You are playing
- 34:33Speaker 1: your zone deep to short. You're looking to break on
- 34:36Speaker 1: any incuts at the moment the ball is being delivered.
- 34:38Speaker 1: You know, a good example to think of it is
- 34:41Speaker 1: if you get a dig or an inbreaker from one
- 34:43Speaker 1: side and a post from the other. You are favoring
- 34:46Speaker 1: the post because again, you're a post helper first and foremost,
- 34:49Speaker 1: you're playing your zone deep too short. You are depending
- 34:52Speaker 1: on the QB's front shoulder to tell you which side
- 34:54Speaker 1: of the field you want to throw to. You know,
- 34:56Speaker 1: if you get a two by two something like that,
- 34:58Speaker 1: you're gonna stay in the middle of the two inside receivers.
- 35:01Speaker 1: You want to stay square. You don't want to commit
- 35:03Speaker 1: or shoulder turn to any side until the QB points
- 35:05Speaker 1: his front shoulder. Once he does, you break the ball
- 35:08Speaker 1: on that quarterback set and transfer. You're reading the quarterback's eyes,
- 35:12Speaker 1: drive on crossers, all things like that, right, But I
- 35:17Speaker 1: say that to say when you are the single high safety,
- 35:19Speaker 1: as cold Bishop is here on this play circled in blue,
- 35:22Speaker 1: this nice pretty blue with a black outline circle. You
- 35:25Speaker 1: are a pass defender first and foremost. You are not
- 35:27Speaker 1: directly responsible for that run fit when you are coming forward,
- 35:30Speaker 1: you know you're kind of coming here in the banana
- 35:31Speaker 1: ing out one way or the other. However, the kind
- 35:33Speaker 1: of run goes from there. But again, coverage first, post safety,
- 35:38Speaker 1: post helper first, and foremost. You are playing your zone
- 35:41Speaker 1: deep to short. That is your responsibility. That is what
- 35:45Speaker 1: you are doing. Cold Bishop here obviously circle he is
- 35:49Speaker 1: the single high safety. We're just gonna watch him fit
- 35:54Speaker 1: the run from depth, watch his angle, watch his pacing,
- 35:57Speaker 1: watch him break down, and then watch the finish. You'll
- 35:59Speaker 1: play it in time, and then we're gonna go slow mo.
- 36:03Speaker 1: Look at urgency, but collect it and bang, just chops
- 36:06Speaker 1: Kamara right down. Read it, see it. Benford does a
- 36:11Speaker 1: good job outside of not letting Kamara get outside and
- 36:14Speaker 1: up the sideline, he kind of funnels this and forces
- 36:16Speaker 1: this back inside to his help, which is everybody coming
- 36:19Speaker 1: from the interior of the field. But even even get
- 36:22Speaker 1: in the sense of how quickly Bishop closes this down.
- 36:24Speaker 1: That's a lot of space and he closes it down
- 36:25Speaker 1: quickly and makes a good tackle. Okay, So now I
- 36:28Speaker 1: was watching in slow moo. So here's Bishop. Okay, I
- 36:31Speaker 1: run the backfield again. You're a post helper first and foremost.
- 36:33Speaker 1: You're playing your zone deep to short. He can see
- 36:36Speaker 1: at this point, okay, there's the mesh action. Where's the ball.
- 36:40Speaker 1: He's sliding with it. Kamara's got the ball. Okay, let's
- 36:43Speaker 1: get forward, comes forward with purpose. Look at the angle again.
- 36:46Speaker 1: He knows he's got help up and out. So hey,
- 36:49Speaker 1: he's taking this type of angle to kind of play
- 36:52Speaker 1: it through this leg. So if Kamara has to cut back,
- 36:56Speaker 1: he's got to cut back into all this help on
- 36:58Speaker 1: his inside. Sometimes the drawing is with the tellustration look
- 37:02Speaker 1: really crazy. But watch him come forward. Okay, we have
- 37:05Speaker 1: that angle, and then this is where it gets really nice.
- 37:07Speaker 1: Look out. He changes his angle, breaks down a little,
- 37:09Speaker 1: gets himself under control, gets horizontal. He's almost stalking Khmer
- 37:14Speaker 1: kind of playing it, playing it, playing it. And then
- 37:16Speaker 1: this is where he starts to plant. You've got pursuit here,
- 37:19Speaker 1: you've got ben for here, you've got Bosa, you've got
- 37:22Speaker 1: Dorian Williams drops her shoulder. This is like to get
- 37:28Speaker 1: this low to literally slide on the ground is crazy,
- 37:31Speaker 1: but you know, sometimes to each their own. Wherever gets
- 37:32Speaker 1: a job done, and then Bang essentially shoots that front
- 37:36Speaker 1: leg and chops him right down. But it's the angle,
- 37:41Speaker 1: the pacing, the urgency, but the calm. Right You don't
- 37:45Speaker 1: want to just come up fly up field like a
- 37:49Speaker 1: chicken with his head cut off and your angle is
- 37:51Speaker 1: poor and you're running so fast so you're going full
- 37:54Speaker 1: speed that all somebody has to do is just put
- 37:56Speaker 1: their foot in the ground and their bio. He doesn't
- 37:58Speaker 1: blow by Bishop because Bishop comes for with pace and
- 38:01Speaker 1: decisiveness and urgency, but is also playing calm, is also
- 38:05Speaker 1: playing with a good angle, and then bang chops Kamara
- 38:09Speaker 1: right down. That's nice putting it all together, coming from depth,
- 38:13Speaker 1: playing decisively, seeing reacting boom. He's not really thinking. You
- 38:18Speaker 1: can see him just processing and then going and making play.
- 38:23Speaker 1: Really nice from Cole Bishop there really nice. This next
- 38:27Speaker 1: one kind of the other side of the coin. This
- 38:30Speaker 1: one is him fitting the run from depth as a
- 38:32Speaker 1: split field safety. Again, this is the end zone angle.
- 38:36Speaker 1: I believe the bills aren't in my memory serves the
- 38:39Speaker 1: bills aren't in cover six and Col Bishop is to
- 38:41Speaker 1: the cover four sides, so you're gonna watch so Rap
- 38:44Speaker 1: is the cover two side, so he's a split field
- 38:46Speaker 1: safeties on the snappy he's gonna kind of bail out here.
- 38:49Speaker 1: Bishop is gonna more ride this hash a little bit
- 38:51Speaker 1: and then see the run and kind of come back
- 38:53Speaker 1: and play the run. So another run fit, this time
- 38:56Speaker 1: from a split field safety, which we know the Bills
- 38:58Speaker 1: want to do. The Bills want to be a too
- 39:00Speaker 1: high structure team as much as they can be. They
- 39:02Speaker 1: want to cap all explosives, all verticals. They want to
- 39:05Speaker 1: keep everything in front of them. And when you do that,
- 39:09Speaker 1: your safeties at some point are gonna have to fit
- 39:10Speaker 1: the run right, especially if you're pairing it with something
- 39:13Speaker 1: like this here where one, two, three, four, five six,
- 39:17Speaker 1: you got a six man box. So if somebody gets through,
- 39:20Speaker 1: you are that next man up. Depending on what you're
- 39:22Speaker 1: doing with the nickel, you know, if he's in the
- 39:24Speaker 1: run fit, if your boundary safety is in the run fit,
- 39:26Speaker 1: depending on what you're doing here. But we get this
- 39:28Speaker 1: too high structure and this is gonna end up coming
- 39:31Speaker 1: Cole Bishop's way. Also notice the communication from Bishop. He's
- 39:34Speaker 1: doing this a lot. You'll see a lot of little
- 39:36Speaker 1: hand signals here and there. This when it happens fast
- 39:38Speaker 1: as we get the motion across, we get the jet
- 39:41Speaker 1: from a lave. So now Tarren Johnson has been pulled
- 39:44Speaker 1: into the box. Tarren Johnson is now part of this
- 39:47Speaker 1: run fit we're gonna get. This is the kind of
- 39:52Speaker 1: small little aside. This is Dion Walker. Watch Dion Walker
- 39:56Speaker 1: just get displaced by the left guard in the center boom,
- 40:00Speaker 1: kind of knocked out a bit, and then so he
- 40:03Speaker 1: gets knocked out, walled off. TJ. Sanders, this man right here,
- 40:11Speaker 1: for whatever reason, I don't know why, decides that instead
- 40:15Speaker 1: of working across the face of Tyles Fuaga and fitting
- 40:18Speaker 1: into his gap here with Bernard fitting here, Sanders decides
- 40:23Speaker 1: he's gonna play this gap, which is what Javon Solomon does,
- 40:27Speaker 1: and that so Sander's playing here. Walker getting bounced and
- 40:31Speaker 1: then Ruiz climbing to Bernard creates this nice little crease
- 40:38Speaker 1: in hell. So I x that out there because it
- 40:42Speaker 1: shouldn't be there, but it is. Here comes this nice
- 40:44Speaker 1: little crease. Look at the little runway we get here
- 40:46Speaker 1: because we've got two guys in the same gap, and
- 40:48Speaker 1: then everybody here is sealed off, especially from the interior
- 40:51Speaker 1: and the spine. So here comes Kendre Miller number five,
- 40:55Speaker 1: two hundred and twenty pounds coming downhill full head of steam.
- 41:00Speaker 1: Let's get our eyes to cold Bishop now right, so
- 41:02Speaker 1: the front has been compromised. Running back is through the line. Okay.
- 41:07Speaker 1: Bishop is playing his past responsibilities, getting nice to the
- 41:11Speaker 1: receiver outside, checks back inside. What do we got here? Okay,
- 41:15Speaker 1: I see some run action. Let me diagnose it's a
- 41:18Speaker 1: run bank plant. Let's come forward. What do we get again?
- 41:23Speaker 1: Good angle, calm, collected, but also urgent. He comes forward,
- 41:29Speaker 1: Sanders helps get a piece on Kendrey Miller. Look at
- 41:31Speaker 1: the position Bishop is in, solid base, eyes are up.
- 41:37Speaker 1: He's coming forward. He's playing this. He's waiting for Kendre
- 41:40Speaker 1: Miller to make the move. Gets close enough, we're gonna
- 41:43Speaker 1: get a little chest on knee. This knee is into
- 41:46Speaker 1: this chest cuts the legs out right from under him.
- 41:50Speaker 1: You can see the impact that he brings when he
- 41:52Speaker 1: comes forward again. Bishop is listed at one hundred and
- 41:54Speaker 1: seven pounds. Kendre Miller is listed at two hundred and twenty.
- 41:58Speaker 1: So he's a dude who can get downhill and Bishop
- 42:01Speaker 1: just makes contact for him or with him, I should say,
- 42:05Speaker 1: and just chops him right down. That's nice. That's nice.
- 42:14Speaker 1: Boom again another that's a sound tackle. It's not great
- 42:19Speaker 1: with what happens upfront, right, I'm not gonna drag anybody
- 42:21Speaker 1: up front more than I already have explain that I
- 42:23Speaker 1: want to focus more on Bishop. But sometimes things happen.
- 42:26Speaker 1: Your front gets gashed. They get gashed here, which is
- 42:30Speaker 1: not good. I think it's going to continue to happen
- 42:32Speaker 1: to them upfront, which means the safety's on the back
- 42:34Speaker 1: end from a single high and a split field perspective,
- 42:37Speaker 1: are gonna have to come up and make tackles like these.
- 42:39Speaker 1: That's a really nice sound tackle from Cole Bishop. Watch
- 42:43Speaker 1: it all together in slow mow now plant come forward,
- 42:47Speaker 1: angle break, break, chop chop boom. I'm playing them right
- 42:52Speaker 1: in the dirt. That's nice. Again, your safety is your
- 42:56Speaker 1: quote unquote safety. That is your safety net with what
- 43:02Speaker 1: you got there. And so Bishop again, nice little two
- 43:06Speaker 1: hundred and seven pounds safety coming downhill. Make an attack
- 43:10Speaker 1: on a two hundred and twenty pound running back. You're
- 43:12Speaker 1: giving up thirteen pounds. That's nice. I also think it's funny,
- 43:17Speaker 1: not too funny, but Walker and Sanders end up, for
- 43:20Speaker 1: whatever reason, just falling on each other here, and it's
- 43:24Speaker 1: just very like this old massive humanity here just amuses me. Yeah,
- 43:30Speaker 1: it's just it's or sanders man one more time in
- 43:36Speaker 1: real time and then move on to the next play,
- 43:39Speaker 1: then to see and again to go over the coverage
- 43:41Speaker 1: piece like we talked about, let's watch rap. Rap just
- 43:43Speaker 1: drops out, heat out. He becomes a coverage first player
- 43:49Speaker 1: as the split field safety to the to the boundary side.
- 43:52Speaker 1: Taron Johnson's in the fit. There's the crease, come up,
- 43:56Speaker 1: boom stick. Nice. That's important, right, especially in the game
- 44:00Speaker 1: like this where we saw a multitude of misstackles, where
- 44:02Speaker 1: we saw the Saints breaking tackles, the Bills missing tackles.
- 44:08Speaker 1: I think Bishop's success coming forward and kind of capping
- 44:12Speaker 1: some of these bigger runs where if he doesn't make
- 44:17Speaker 1: that tackle, it becomes a potential house call. There's an
- 44:20Speaker 1: opportunity for you to get five more yards, maybe ten
- 44:22Speaker 1: more yards, kind of seeing whatever you can get there.
- 44:25Speaker 1: But him being able to kind of again play top down,
- 44:28Speaker 1: come up and make a hit from a split field
- 44:31Speaker 1: look and a single high look. It's nice, it's nice.
- 44:34Speaker 1: It's nice. It's nice. All right. This is another run fit,
- 44:36Speaker 1: this one against the Miami Dolphins in Week three. Again
- 44:40Speaker 1: we get another kind of some issues up front with
- 44:44Speaker 1: the run defense. Dion Walker man right here, not a
- 44:49Speaker 1: single mom I'm just talking about within the scope of
- 44:50Speaker 1: the play. Dion Walker ends up in the wrong gap,
- 44:53Speaker 1: but Cole Bishop is able to come up and clean
- 44:55Speaker 1: it up. We also have again another tackle coming downhill
- 44:58Speaker 1: against a running back coming downhill is Ali Gordon. He's
- 45:01Speaker 1: listed at two hundred and twenty five pounds. Six let's
- 45:08Speaker 1: see what is he six? Two two and twenty five
- 45:12Speaker 1: pounds is what mister Ali Gordon is listed at. I
- 45:14Speaker 1: think they mentioned that like a bunch of times on
- 45:15Speaker 1: the broadcast. Kirkurbstreet said it a bunch, But we'll watch
- 45:19Speaker 1: what happens here if you care. Here's Dion Walker right.
- 45:23Speaker 1: Notice what gap he is playing into. He should be
- 45:26Speaker 1: playing more towards here instead he plays here. So what happens.
- 45:30Speaker 1: Here's Dorian Williams, here's Deon Walker. You have two guys
- 45:33Speaker 1: in the same gap. That's very much less than ideal.
- 45:37Speaker 1: Here they both are. Bernard gets met here's your crease.
- 45:41Speaker 1: Here comes Oli Gordon and here comes Cole Bishop downhill
- 45:45Speaker 1: to meet it again. He reads it. He triggers, this
- 45:48Speaker 1: is a big back who's his footing a little bit,
- 45:50Speaker 1: But this is a big back coming downhill. This is
- 45:52Speaker 1: collision on collision. Boom gets low, little helmet to helmet.
- 45:57Speaker 1: That's not gonna feel good, but he sticks them that ankle.
- 46:01Speaker 1: Gordon falls forward for a body yard. But that's a
- 46:03Speaker 1: nice sound tackle from Cole Bishop. Again, you're fitting it
- 46:07Speaker 1: from single high low red zone. You got to come up.
- 46:09Speaker 1: You got to make that stop. Any yard that you
- 46:11Speaker 1: give up or any extra steps could potentially lead to
- 46:15Speaker 1: an easy touchdown, especially when you're in the low low
- 46:17Speaker 1: red zone there around the five yard line, played in
- 46:20Speaker 1: real time. Boom, chop them down, pick the ankle, and
- 46:26Speaker 1: again that's you're giving up about eighteen pounds, and that
- 46:29Speaker 1: running back is coming downhill with full head of steam.
- 46:31Speaker 1: With a full head of steam, you're coming forward with
- 46:33Speaker 1: pace and urgency, but you're also breaking down because you
- 46:36Speaker 1: don't want to fly by. You don't want to take oh,
- 46:38Speaker 1: you don't want to take the wrong angle and deliver
- 46:39Speaker 1: a glancing blow instead of a full shot with some
- 46:42Speaker 1: good contact. So you got to come forward, You got
- 46:45Speaker 1: to bring your feet, but you become a little bit
- 46:51Speaker 1: of the hammer of the nail as opposed to the
- 46:53Speaker 1: running back being the hammer there. But Bishop makes a
- 46:57Speaker 1: good stick pol nice from him. There one more time
- 47:02Speaker 1: in slow mo for the folks who want it really
- 47:04Speaker 1: uh frame by frame here, and then we'll move on
- 47:07Speaker 1: to the next play. There's the crease ron gaps or
- 47:11Speaker 1: some multiple guys in the same gap, I should say,
- 47:13Speaker 1: lose an integrity. There's Bishop oh helmet on helmet, but
- 47:17Speaker 1: he stuns him a bit, doesn't let go, makes a
- 47:20Speaker 1: nice tackle. Shout out to cool Bishop again on that one.
- 47:24Speaker 1: This one, I think everyone's probably favorite play of bishops
- 47:29Speaker 1: this year. This is that interception against the New Orleans Saints.
- 47:32Speaker 1: Eric and I talked about it a bunch in the
- 47:33Speaker 1: film room. I know a lot of people talk about
- 47:34Speaker 1: it on social even to the point that I debated
- 47:37Speaker 1: not including in this episode, but some people might not
- 47:40Speaker 1: watch the film, some people might not have social media,
- 47:42Speaker 1: so wanted to include it here in this episode. Plus
- 47:44Speaker 1: it's awesome, so it's fun to talk about. The big
- 47:46Speaker 1: thing here with this one is just the eyes and
- 47:49Speaker 1: the processing and the athleticism from Bishop on this play.
- 47:52Speaker 1: The sideline angle gives you a sense of how quickly
- 47:56Speaker 1: he closes down on this and how much ground he covers,
- 48:00Speaker 1: and then the play that he makes it gives you
- 48:01Speaker 1: that nice wide angle shot at the end zone angle
- 48:04Speaker 1: is the one that I think does a really good
- 48:06Speaker 1: job of showing his eyes and his processing and how
- 48:09Speaker 1: he got to the spot to make the play. The
- 48:14Speaker 1: interception is what is going to sell the tickets, right
- 48:16Speaker 1: you see the jump, you see the one handed catch. Wow,
- 48:19Speaker 1: what a play. It's a takeaway all of these things
- 48:22Speaker 1: that are splashy. But he's able to make that play.
- 48:26Speaker 1: Again what we talked about earlier, the mental being able
- 48:29Speaker 1: to allow that physical to start to come out in him.
- 48:31Speaker 1: It's his processing that allows him to get to that
- 48:34Speaker 1: spot to use his athleticism and make a play on
- 48:37Speaker 1: the ball. Here. So watch it here from the sideline angle.
- 48:41Speaker 1: I play it in real time and then we'll go
- 48:42Speaker 1: in slow mo. Played in real time so you can
- 48:44Speaker 1: see the sense of the ground he covers crazy and
- 48:48Speaker 1: then the wherewithal to get up and stay in bounds
- 48:51Speaker 1: and get more yards upfield. One more time here beautiful,
- 48:58Speaker 1: so nice. All right, Now we're gonna go through this
- 49:03Speaker 1: play here, So watch his eyes again. The end zone
- 49:05Speaker 1: angle is gonna show it more. But I really want
- 49:07Speaker 1: to put that the processing piece into perspective here. So
- 49:10Speaker 1: here comes from Shed or he Shaheed in motion. Now,
- 49:14Speaker 1: the the Saints the play before had run something similar
- 49:19Speaker 1: with bringing motion across, so they saw the Bills adjust
- 49:22Speaker 1: kind of man up it, push and account for it.
- 49:24Speaker 1: So they're trying to okay, let's get you to flow
- 49:26Speaker 1: this way and then we're gonna come and Philly special
- 49:28Speaker 1: you and kind of see what's up. But Shaheed goes
- 49:32Speaker 1: in motion and watch is shahiit bang? So Shahed is
- 49:36Speaker 1: going in motion and the ball is snapped. Bishop immediately
- 49:40Speaker 1: gets his eyes to his side, right. He's looking at
- 49:43Speaker 1: the passing strength to see okay, because he knows what
- 49:46Speaker 1: Shaheed's doing, even if he goes across from a jet action,
- 49:49Speaker 1: even if he goes behind it in orbit. He's seeing
- 49:51Speaker 1: what's happening over here to again to get a peek
- 49:54Speaker 1: and be like, okay, what's gonna happen on this side?
- 49:56Speaker 1: But he peaks, and what does he see? He sees
- 50:00Speaker 1: a lave plant and come back this way. So now
- 50:03Speaker 1: what does Cole Bishop do? He's watching a lave, gets
- 50:07Speaker 1: his eyes into the backfield so he can see exactly
- 50:10Speaker 1: what's going on at this mesh point. He sees Kamara
- 50:12Speaker 1: coming out. He sees Shaheed going this way and he
- 50:15Speaker 1: sees a lave continuing to orbit. So what's Bishop going
- 50:20Speaker 1: to do? Now? Gets his eyes front side, right, So
- 50:23Speaker 1: what's going on over here? Is anybody leaking out? Is
- 50:27Speaker 1: are we getting any linemen that're kind of releasing and
- 50:29Speaker 1: trying to get up field? Is it a straight up
- 50:31Speaker 1: end around, is it a straight up reverse or is
- 50:34Speaker 1: it something more? So let's continue to watch. Let's peek
- 50:37Speaker 1: back in kind of make sure what we think is
- 50:40Speaker 1: happening is supposed to happen. Also, really good job out here,
- 50:43Speaker 1: like nice and sound by Bernard and Benford once they
- 50:46Speaker 1: kind of read this like not getting ahead of themselves.
- 50:48Speaker 1: This could end up being a fake. And Shaheed continues,
- 50:51Speaker 1: but Benford would be right here to kind of cancel
- 50:53Speaker 1: that thing out. But again, let's focus on Bishop. Bishop
- 50:56Speaker 1: looking at the backfield, seeing, okay, what's going on now?
- 50:59Speaker 1: As we go forward, he sees the toss, so he
- 51:03Speaker 1: triggers and keeps moving to this side. Now look where
- 51:06Speaker 1: his eyes get. His eyes gets a rattler and he
- 51:08Speaker 1: sees rattler is releasing, and he's like, I see what's
- 51:10Speaker 1: happening here? A little pitch This is going to the QB.
- 51:15Speaker 1: Let me look in the backfield kind of see what
- 51:18Speaker 1: Olave's doing while I continue to close down on Rattler,
- 51:26Speaker 1: eyes on the ball the whole way, and then makes
- 51:28Speaker 1: a play on it. You can see from this angle too,
- 51:32Speaker 1: as Olave throws this ball, he's thinking this thing is
- 51:36Speaker 1: wide open. So there's two things that influence him here, right. First,
- 51:38Speaker 1: good job by Greg Russou staying home with his bootleg
- 51:41Speaker 1: counter reverse responsibility off the backside the BCR. He sees it.
- 51:46Speaker 1: He closes down and he gets his arms up. So
- 51:48Speaker 1: Olave gets this ball and sees Rousseau and is like, oh,
- 51:51Speaker 1: I got to throw this thing quick. But also from
- 51:53Speaker 1: a Lave's standpoint, okay, so he gets heat up, he
- 51:57Speaker 1: gets you know, sped up a bit Russeau. Rousseau heats
- 52:01Speaker 1: him up, but also from a lave standpoint, watch Olave's eyes.
- 52:04Speaker 1: He catches the ball, he doesn't see Bishop at all.
- 52:07Speaker 1: All he's focused on is Rattler, as far as he knows,
- 52:10Speaker 1: is wide open, and Rousseau is heating him up. So
- 52:13Speaker 1: let me just float it, let me just drop this
- 52:15Speaker 1: thing in there. He's backing up like, oh, this is
- 52:16Speaker 1: gonna be a tuddy he's even kind of throwing this
- 52:19Speaker 1: kind of like he just shot it, like he like
- 52:21Speaker 1: shot a three and he feels like, oh that felt good.
- 52:23Speaker 1: This is going in Let me shoot it and start
- 52:25Speaker 1: fading and backing up towards mid court. Nice tuddy, oh Bishop,
- 52:29Speaker 1: out of nowhere? Bang played in real time. Just watch
- 52:33Speaker 1: the head in the eyes of Bishop process everything head
- 52:36Speaker 1: on a swivel. But while he's processing, his feen aren't stopping.
- 52:42Speaker 1: He's diagnosing and processing in real time and accurately, and
- 52:46Speaker 1: then also using his athleticism to get there and make
- 52:48Speaker 1: a play on the ball. That's really nice. And then
- 52:55Speaker 1: again the wherewithal to get up and get a field
- 52:58Speaker 1: and start to make a play. This is the end
- 52:59Speaker 1: zone angle from this same play. Again. I just want
- 53:02Speaker 1: to use this to highlight the eyes of mister Cole Bishop.
- 53:08Speaker 1: So here's Bishop highlighted by this giant blue arrow. Nice
- 53:12Speaker 1: and blue also with the black outline helps it stand
- 53:15Speaker 1: up Caro gonsto. So he starts to widen right, sees
- 53:18Speaker 1: the shaheed motion. Okay, is this going to turn into
- 53:21Speaker 1: because also here's Kamara and then remember we have cooks
- 53:23Speaker 1: out out here and we've got a lave out here,
- 53:27Speaker 1: so you've already got three eligibles to this side. If
- 53:30Speaker 1: Shaheed goes over here, now this turns into a four
- 53:32Speaker 1: x one and essentially a four strong type of aspects.
- 53:35Speaker 1: So you could try to flood the side. You have
- 53:37Speaker 1: to widen. You have to account for that piece. Right
- 53:41Speaker 1: here we go, But again, remember watch the eyes. This
- 53:44Speaker 1: is Bishop bang gets those eyes front side. What's going
- 53:49Speaker 1: on front side? Again, everything we just diagnosed with this
- 53:52Speaker 1: end zone angle allows you to really see it. Okay,
- 53:54Speaker 1: he's looking at he's looking front side. He sees o
- 53:56Speaker 1: Lave as orbiting. Let's keep watching follow Lave. What do
- 54:00Speaker 1: we got here? Okay, he sees what's happening there, gets
- 54:04Speaker 1: those eyes to the front side to see what's happening.
- 54:09Speaker 1: Eyes are now back into the backfield. Let me confirm
- 54:13Speaker 1: that what I think is happening is what's happening. Eyes
- 54:16Speaker 1: are right on the ball slash, that mesh actions where
- 54:20Speaker 1: you're gonna see that toss happen. And now he's just
- 54:25Speaker 1: moving forward and then his eyes. I know it's a
- 54:27Speaker 1: little tough because he's out of frame there, but his
- 54:29Speaker 1: eyes the whole time, like we showed from the sideline
- 54:31Speaker 1: on the old lave on the ball the whole time
- 54:34Speaker 1: and then go up and make a play. And again
- 54:40Speaker 1: the wherewithal stumble a little bit, gather yourself, plant, knock
- 54:46Speaker 1: it out of bounds, get up field. Good athleticism, good balance.
- 54:52Speaker 1: Someone said it earlier, I forgot who said it. This play,
- 54:56Speaker 1: I think is one where you know again as well,
- 55:00Speaker 1: it's well known how well he tested at the combine.
- 55:03Speaker 1: I think this play really speaks to that leticisn't be
- 55:05Speaker 1: tested with eighty six percentile on the vertical, sixtieth percentile
- 55:09Speaker 1: on the broad, eighty fourth percentile with his forty yard
- 55:11Speaker 1: dash at four point four five seconds, seventy six percentile
- 55:14Speaker 1: on the ten yard split, all these things that measure
- 55:17Speaker 1: explosion and speed and burst he succeeded at. But this
- 55:22Speaker 1: play kind of really shows a bunch of that, the
- 55:26Speaker 1: closed down ability, how much ground he covers so quickly,
- 55:29Speaker 1: and then the ability to go up and make a play.
- 55:31Speaker 1: But it all happens because of the processing. Really nice,
- 55:42Speaker 1: really nice see him just sniffing it all out, processing it,
- 55:47Speaker 1: reading it bang, going up and getting it. That's a
- 55:52Speaker 1: really good play. And again shout out to uh. We
- 55:57Speaker 1: talked about it from the end zone angle. But watch
- 56:00Speaker 1: Greg Rousseau here as the edge player, because he does
- 56:03Speaker 1: influence this. He sees Shahid go that way. He could
- 56:08Speaker 1: have been lazy or not assignment sound and just been like, okay, cool,
- 56:12Speaker 1: let me keep crashing down. This ball is going to Shaheed,
- 56:15Speaker 1: let me go. But he is that guy off the
- 56:18Speaker 1: backside who has that bcr responsibility. So if there's a bootleg,
- 56:22Speaker 1: if there's some type of counter, if there's some type
- 56:25Speaker 1: of reverse, anything coming back his way, he has to
- 56:29Speaker 1: play for that and he has to account for that,
- 56:31Speaker 1: which is why usually when you'll see like zone runs
- 56:34Speaker 1: this way, even if it's a run one hundred percent
- 56:37Speaker 1: the whole time, the quarterback will still kind of boot
- 56:39Speaker 1: a little bit, trying to try and hold that backside
- 56:41Speaker 1: defender that way they can't crash down and kind of
- 56:44Speaker 1: run that run down from the backside. And Russeau has
- 56:47Speaker 1: been good at this since he was a rookie. So
- 56:49Speaker 1: watch him to see and diagnose doesn't crash down. He
- 56:53Speaker 1: slow plays it. Bang, he sees that toss. Now he's
- 56:56Speaker 1: able to slam on the brakes and he helps heat
- 56:59Speaker 1: this thing up again. The length kind of plane a
- 57:01Speaker 1: little bit arms up again, a lave doesn't see Bishop.
- 57:05Speaker 1: He thinks rattler's wide open, but he knows Group is
- 57:07Speaker 1: on his horse heating him up a little bit. He's
- 57:10Speaker 1: got some length. So maybe a little assistant shout out
- 57:13Speaker 1: there to Greg Russou on this play or on that
- 57:18Speaker 1: previous play, I should say this one as labeled here
- 57:22Speaker 1: cold Bishop is going to slice on a crosser as
- 57:24Speaker 1: the single high post safety. We talked about this in
- 57:27Speaker 1: the preseason a bunch when we were getting you know,
- 57:31Speaker 1: crossers when the Bills were in Cover three and essentially,
- 57:35Speaker 1: you know, say you had a crosser from over here,
- 57:39Speaker 1: and say it was just one receiver over here, you
- 57:41Speaker 1: got a cross over here, you would get the safety
- 57:44Speaker 1: who would drive on that crosser. They'd slice on that crosser.
- 57:48Speaker 1: Oh I tell strater's not working. They'd slice on that crosser,
- 57:51Speaker 1: and then you get the cover three corner that was
- 57:53Speaker 1: over here would kind of essentially ride a little bit
- 57:56Speaker 1: and drift into the post and cover them whatever way
- 57:58Speaker 1: it happened from right. But what a lot of single
- 58:01Speaker 1: high teams do, especially the Bills, if they get you know,
- 58:04Speaker 1: if you get a vertical out here, you get a
- 58:06Speaker 1: vertical from a guy out here, and then you get
- 58:08Speaker 1: a crosser like they do in this instance. You know
- 58:11Speaker 1: it's not gonna be from Cooks, but it's gonna be
- 58:13Speaker 1: from a love. If you get that cross from the interior,
- 58:15Speaker 1: this single high safety, he can slice on that. He
- 58:18Speaker 1: essentially meaning he's going to drive on that crosser. And
- 58:20Speaker 1: that's what we're gonna get from Cold Bishop. Here, he's
- 58:22Speaker 1: gonna slice on the crosser. As that single high post
- 58:25Speaker 1: safety again Cover three, he is that single high safety,
- 58:31Speaker 1: as we talked about earlier. If you're the single high
- 58:33Speaker 1: safety Cover one, but especially Cover three, you are a
- 58:36Speaker 1: per well either way. Really you are a post helper
- 58:39Speaker 1: first and foremost. Obviously cover one man coverage inside leverage
- 58:44Speaker 1: typically cover three zone coverage, but you still essentially have
- 58:48Speaker 1: guys on the islands on the outside. But as that
- 58:50Speaker 1: single high safety, are a post helper first and foremost,
- 58:53Speaker 1: you are playing your zone deep to short. Let's watch
- 58:57Speaker 1: Cold Bishop here in slow mo. Okay, a lave was
- 59:01Speaker 1: outside of Cooks. He's gonna come inside as number two.
- 59:04Speaker 1: Cooks is gonna replace him as the number one. We're
- 59:05Speaker 1: gonna get a little switch release outside from those two.
- 59:08Speaker 1: Here comes a lave eyes in the backfield right because
- 59:11Speaker 1: he's reading the QB. He's reading the flow of play,
- 59:14Speaker 1: kind of seeing what's happening here. Bang, eyes get here.
- 59:19Speaker 1: He sees what's going on. He doesn't get lost in
- 59:21Speaker 1: the backfield or with his eyes in the backfield, he
- 59:23Speaker 1: doesn't get trapped in full by the whole run action
- 59:25Speaker 1: that's going on here. His eyes are front side. I
- 59:30Speaker 1: shouldn't say front SI didn't heavy receiver side the number
- 59:32Speaker 1: side to see what's going on. So he sees we
- 59:35Speaker 1: got cooks going up, we got a lave going over.
- 59:39Speaker 1: He has to react accordingly. Eyes around a lave, crosses.
- 59:44Speaker 1: Now he's looking at rattler through a lave, sees that crosser,
- 59:51Speaker 1: drives on it. Again. This is a completion for the Saints.
- 59:57Speaker 1: It's a good job for them. Played in real time
- 1:00:00Speaker 1: so you can see just how fast it plays down.
- 1:00:02Speaker 1: Visial covers a good amount of ground quickly and gets
- 1:00:05Speaker 1: there also with you know, with tackles like these, especially
- 1:00:07Speaker 1: against wide receivers, you can really see how how much
- 1:00:10Speaker 1: of an impact he makes at the contact point because
- 1:00:13Speaker 1: of his size and speed combination. You can see the
- 1:00:16Speaker 1: force he brings into a tackle with his body to
- 1:00:18Speaker 1: kind of go through dudes, especially wide receivers who are
- 1:00:21Speaker 1: going to typically be smaller than him. When he makes
- 1:00:23Speaker 1: contact with you, you go down. He doesn't even hit
- 1:00:26Speaker 1: a lobby completely flush here, but a lobby goes down
- 1:00:29Speaker 1: right away. If we had to nitpick this here, a
- 1:00:34Speaker 1: more direct angle to a labbe to this crosser maybe
- 1:00:38Speaker 1: gets him there sooner. If he reads this a bit quicker,
- 1:00:41Speaker 1: or if he takes a bit more of a direct angle.
- 1:00:42Speaker 1: I'm going to show you what I mean here. So
- 1:00:45Speaker 1: again he sees it. Watch his initial first steps are
- 1:00:49Speaker 1: almost back a little but at most like horizontal. If
- 1:00:52Speaker 1: he's able to kind of plant and then start to
- 1:00:54Speaker 1: gain a little more I don't want to say depth,
- 1:00:57Speaker 1: but a little bit of a better angle coming forward
- 1:01:00Speaker 1: to kind of instead of going here and then here,
- 1:01:03Speaker 1: if he could go here and kind of take it,
- 1:01:06Speaker 1: I know that this, this literal drawn angle is gonna
- 1:01:09Speaker 1: work great. But this is what I'm talking about, more
- 1:01:11Speaker 1: of that kind of less of a rounded angle and
- 1:01:13Speaker 1: more of a direct route to the ball. Again, see
- 1:01:17Speaker 1: how he kind of he's traveling horizontal, almost like he's
- 1:01:19Speaker 1: still confirming a little bit again, also kind of gathered
- 1:01:22Speaker 1: gathering his feet. Also, maybe he sees this out of
- 1:01:24Speaker 1: his peripheral is afraid that if he slices it too
- 1:01:27Speaker 1: much or too early, he's gonna make contact get tripped up.
- 1:01:29Speaker 1: But I say all that to say the rounded angle
- 1:01:32Speaker 1: and the non direct root to the ball is he's
- 1:01:36Speaker 1: right there. If he takes a bit more of a
- 1:01:38Speaker 1: direct route, maybe he's making contact right now. Or maybe
- 1:01:41Speaker 1: he's able to punch through the hands right here and
- 1:01:43Speaker 1: make a play on the ball, or just put his
- 1:01:45Speaker 1: shoulder right into the kidneys of a labve and kind
- 1:01:48Speaker 1: of play through him here. But because of the angle
- 1:01:50Speaker 1: he takes, he's a tad light. A labb is able
- 1:01:52Speaker 1: to get both feet on the ground protect the ball,
- 1:01:55Speaker 1: but Bishop drops him right. Tip your cap, good job, Saints,
- 1:02:00Speaker 1: good job of Lave, good catch, good throw from rattler right,
- 1:02:04Speaker 1: but don't make it worse. Come forward, make the tackle.
- 1:02:10Speaker 1: So while I do think he could improve in this area,
- 1:02:12Speaker 1: right the angle to the ball and him seeing it
- 1:02:15Speaker 1: and recognizing it, he's still improving in that area. He
- 1:02:20Speaker 1: could get better here, but this is an improvement versus
- 1:02:22Speaker 1: where he was. But this is still an area where
- 1:02:25Speaker 1: again he could improve. Angles to the football, seeing it,
- 1:02:28Speaker 1: processing and recognizing it, acting on it, reacting on it.
- 1:02:32Speaker 1: But again, these are things the more time on task
- 1:02:35Speaker 1: he gets in these type of roles in practice in games,
- 1:02:39Speaker 1: that ability to see, Okay, I know the crosser's coming.
- 1:02:42Speaker 1: Whether it's something he's studied on tape. I don't know
- 1:02:44Speaker 1: what his film study habits are, but maybe it's either
- 1:02:46Speaker 1: something he sees on tape or it's him feeling it
- 1:02:48Speaker 1: and having the instinct kind of feeling it out and
- 1:02:50Speaker 1: being like, Okay, this is what's coming. You know, sometimes
- 1:02:53Speaker 1: that feel and those quote unquote instincts are more due
- 1:02:58Speaker 1: to the film study and the experience that you have
- 1:03:03Speaker 1: and all the reps that you've logged, and so you're
- 1:03:05Speaker 1: kind of you have that feel right, and those instincts
- 1:03:07Speaker 1: quote unquote. But a lot of times it is due
- 1:03:09Speaker 1: to your preparation and the processing and the mental side
- 1:03:12Speaker 1: that you have. It's not just like, yeah, I think
- 1:03:14Speaker 1: this is going to happen. It's you instinctively reacting and
- 1:03:17Speaker 1: it being referred to as instincts, but it's because you
- 1:03:20Speaker 1: kind of know that's coming based off of what you
- 1:03:22Speaker 1: studied or the experience that you have. So if he
- 1:03:24Speaker 1: could read this a little faster or take more direct
- 1:03:27Speaker 1: route to the ball. Again, he can afford to read
- 1:03:30Speaker 1: things a little bit late at times because he has
- 1:03:32Speaker 1: some speed and closing ability. But you can't read it
- 1:03:35Speaker 1: if you're going to read it a little late. Your
- 1:03:37Speaker 1: angle has to be sound, and if you're off in both,
- 1:03:39Speaker 1: it's going to lead to more completion. It's happening in
- 1:03:41Speaker 1: front of you. This last play that we're going to
- 1:03:43Speaker 1: look at here is that ball that was initially ruled
- 1:03:46Speaker 1: to catch for Brandon Cooks in a touchdown. Spencer Ratler's
- 1:03:50Speaker 1: gonna want this one back, but it ended up being incomplete.
- 1:03:54Speaker 1: He falls down, and by he I mean Cole Bishop.
- 1:03:56Speaker 1: He essentially loses his footing in coverage here. Again, we're
- 1:03:59Speaker 1: not objective on the show. Everything I do is objective.
- 1:04:02Speaker 1: I want to put the full perspective and the full
- 1:04:05Speaker 1: picture together where he is as a player, what he
- 1:04:06Speaker 1: could work on here. This is anything, This isn't anything
- 1:04:09Speaker 1: completely egregious, right, Sometimes you lose your footing. It happens.
- 1:04:13Speaker 1: But he loses his footing because he gets fooled by
- 1:04:15Speaker 1: the stem from Brandon Cooks. Brandon Cooks is right now,
- 1:04:21Speaker 1: so Bishop's gonna get fooled by that stem and then
- 1:04:23Speaker 1: when he tries to correct for it, he just gets
- 1:04:26Speaker 1: his feet crossed up and he goes down. One thing
- 1:04:28Speaker 1: that I want to note, I cut this a little
- 1:04:31Speaker 1: longer from a pre snap perspective, Watch all the communication
- 1:04:36Speaker 1: pre snap from Cole Bishop. This is a player again
- 1:04:38Speaker 1: what do we talk about in the intro, And then
- 1:04:40Speaker 1: even with some of the chippiness, right, this is a
- 1:04:43Speaker 1: player who's playing with more confidence. He is playing with
- 1:04:46Speaker 1: more oomph physically and mentally. He is relaying signals with
- 1:04:51Speaker 1: regularity in this defense with each passing week. But he's
- 1:04:53Speaker 1: also kind of starting some of the communication, giving the checks,
- 1:04:57Speaker 1: becoming more vocal, becoming more cerebral as a player. Notice
- 1:05:01Speaker 1: all the pre snapp communication here. Again, this is a
- 1:05:03Speaker 1: player who's gotten comfortable and confident in this defense. So
- 1:05:06Speaker 1: Bishop is right here is highlighted by the big blue arrow.
- 1:05:10Speaker 1: You're getting motion here essentially, well not motion like a
- 1:05:14Speaker 1: shift and a reset there from Cooks. But watch Bishop
- 1:05:17Speaker 1: call that out. There's Cooks look at a point to
- 1:05:21Speaker 1: it communicate. He's given direction. Taron Johnson is relaying that
- 1:05:28Speaker 1: Bernard is probably barking something out too. But look at Bishop,
- 1:05:32Speaker 1: look at the air traffic controller that he's working back there,
- 1:05:36Speaker 1: kind of Terrell Bernard light, not even light. That's a
- 1:05:38Speaker 1: lot of communication. He because again, Cooks just came over here.
- 1:05:43Speaker 1: So that's why Bishoprioslomo points it out. And then let's
- 1:05:48Speaker 1: give the check. Benford hears it. Let's watch Benford, Let's
- 1:05:54Speaker 1: watch everything happen. Benford's got eyes back here. Oh, why
- 1:05:58Speaker 1: are you being foolish with the Telestrationord's got eyes back
- 1:06:00Speaker 1: there on Cole. Bishop, this is third and thirteen for reference,
- 1:06:07Speaker 1: third and thirteen from the bill seventeen yard line. Also
- 1:06:10Speaker 1: for our j and for anyone playing at home. If
- 1:06:12Speaker 1: this would have been completed, it would have been a
- 1:06:14Speaker 1: third and long conversion in something that you would have
- 1:06:16Speaker 1: wanted to kind of pull your hair out with. And
- 1:06:18Speaker 1: I say you is in the general sense, not argent
- 1:06:20Speaker 1: in particular, but this kind of falls into your third
- 1:06:22Speaker 1: and long struggles. So again there's the communication. Benford, here's
- 1:06:25Speaker 1: it up. Top starts to back up Tarn. Here's Bernard
- 1:06:31Speaker 1: looks back at Cole. Cole tells him what's up. They acknowledge.
- 1:06:36Speaker 1: Arran acknowledges with Benford. Essentially what I think from a
- 1:06:40Speaker 1: coverage standpoint on this one, that we get where it
- 1:06:44Speaker 1: simmes he's gonna get man playing out to the bottom
- 1:06:46Speaker 1: with Trey on Juwan Johnson and then Dorian locking' on Kamara.
- 1:06:50Speaker 1: This is times he's gonna play out like a like
- 1:06:52Speaker 1: a match coverage type of concept. Where again and kind
- 1:06:55Speaker 1: of split field to that aspect to where you got
- 1:06:57Speaker 1: manned down here to the bottom of the screen. And
- 1:06:59Speaker 1: then Ben is gonna play a lock on the outside
- 1:07:04Speaker 1: receiver here and then so you're essentially playing kind of
- 1:07:06Speaker 1: three over two on the inside here slot receiver Shahid
- 1:07:11Speaker 1: is gonna go on that wheel. Tarn's gonna take him.
- 1:07:14Speaker 1: Bernard initially initially kind of walls off the number three,
- 1:07:17Speaker 1: which is Cooks, and then lets him go to Bishop.
- 1:07:22Speaker 1: If you're wonder from a coverage standpoint, so it's watching
- 1:07:24Speaker 1: slow motion here there's the release. Now I solely on Bishop.
- 1:07:30Speaker 1: Cooks is coming down the pike. He's running vertical. You
- 1:07:32Speaker 1: can see Bernard tries to wall him off, carries him
- 1:07:34Speaker 1: for a bit. Then he sees the action coming underneath
- 1:07:39Speaker 1: from the number one outside who Benford is coming with,
- 1:07:43Speaker 1: so Bernard slams on the brakes, gets his eyes back
- 1:07:46Speaker 1: to Rattler. Here comes Cooks. Bishop is eyeing him. Watch
- 1:07:51Speaker 1: the stem. You see kind of Cooks changing his pace
- 1:07:54Speaker 1: breaks a little bit right. You see the body language
- 1:07:57Speaker 1: and see the feet. He's selling like, Okay, I'm gonna
- 1:07:59Speaker 1: run a corner route and instead what we end up
- 1:08:03Speaker 1: getting here he puts his right foot in the ground.
- 1:08:06Speaker 1: Bishop is already leaning outside, thinking like, okay, he's gonna
- 1:08:09Speaker 1: go on that corner route. Let me meet him, cut
- 1:08:11Speaker 1: him off, make some contact. Cooks crosses him up. You
- 1:08:14Speaker 1: can see the feet right. Bishop's leaning, His feet are
- 1:08:17Speaker 1: off the ground, tries to steady himself and essentially just
- 1:08:21Speaker 1: falls down. And this is where Rattler again is gonna
- 1:08:23Speaker 1: want this one back. This is open just short arms
- 1:08:26Speaker 1: it a little bit. Watching in real time. See all
- 1:08:32Speaker 1: the communication. Cole Bishop gets crossed up. It happens, right,
- 1:08:42Speaker 1: Sometimes you lose your footing gets fooled again. This isn't egregious,
- 1:08:47Speaker 1: just kind of putting into perspective. This is where he is. Yeah, fooled,
- 1:08:50Speaker 1: you got beat. Brandon cook still has some ability. I
- 1:08:52Speaker 1: actually completely forgot that Brandon Cooks was back on the
- 1:08:54Speaker 1: Saints until I watched their tape last week. I just
- 1:09:01Speaker 1: I love all the pre snapp communication. Again, this is
- 1:09:03Speaker 1: the dude who's playing confident. If he's playing confident mentally
- 1:09:07Speaker 1: and he's processing quickly and accurately, he's really gonna be
- 1:09:09Speaker 1: able to take advantage of the physical traits and tools
- 1:09:11Speaker 1: that he has. But this happens here. Also good route
- 1:09:14Speaker 1: from Cooks again, watch Cooks. Cooks at that number three inside.
- 1:09:17Speaker 1: You can see how he paces it. It's so subtle
- 1:09:19Speaker 1: from Cooks, right, that subtle little bank. He just changes
- 1:09:25Speaker 1: his gait a little bit, changes his footwork and you think, oh,
- 1:09:28Speaker 1: there goes the corner and he just crosses him up.
- 1:09:30Speaker 1: That's really well done from Cooks. That's a veteran receiver.
- 1:09:33Speaker 1: Dude who's been in the league. He's been successful with
- 1:09:35Speaker 1: multiple teams. This is a veteran, savvy type of receiver.
- 1:09:41Speaker 1: Puts a good move on Bishop, he gets got loses
- 1:09:44Speaker 1: his feet. The timing too from Cooks is awesome. You
- 1:09:47Speaker 1: tip your cap. He makes this move and catches Bishop
- 1:09:50Speaker 1: tries to catch his feet mid air and that's essentially
- 1:09:52Speaker 1: why he loses his footing and falls down. Yeah, great
- 1:09:57Speaker 1: move by Cooks. And oh, let's put this back. I
- 1:10:04Speaker 1: do this every week where I can never remember how
- 1:10:11Speaker 1: to get myself back on the screen as I take
- 1:10:15Speaker 1: the film down. I do it every week like a fool.
- 1:10:17Speaker 1: But yeah, it's cool bishop film breakdown and release season
- 1:10:20Speaker 1: evaluation to put a nice bow on it. From a
- 1:10:22Speaker 1: conversational perspective, I think he's improved literally each week. Had
- 1:10:28Speaker 1: some rough moments against Baltimore, as did the entire defense
- 1:10:31Speaker 1: in Week one, but I think with each passing week
- 1:10:35Speaker 1: he has improved. His tackling has become very sound that
- 1:10:38Speaker 1: you know, kind of put that in perspective as well.
- 1:10:41Speaker 1: He hasn't missed a tackle the last three weeks. The
- 1:10:44Speaker 1: only mistackle he has is I'm assuming that the one
- 1:10:47Speaker 1: that was registered against Baltimore is that Derek Henry one.
- 1:10:49Speaker 1: He hasn't missed a tackle the last three weeks, and
- 1:10:52Speaker 1: he's had tackled like three total tackles, four total tackles,
- 1:10:55Speaker 1: five total tackles. So he's and again he's being put
- 1:10:58Speaker 1: as we showed here even the Saints game alone, but
- 1:11:02Speaker 1: the other games previously as well that we've talked about.
- 1:11:06Speaker 1: He's getting like one on one opportunities coming from depth,
- 1:11:09Speaker 1: so it's not like, well, he's not getting in position
- 1:11:11Speaker 1: to have to tackle anybody so he's not having misstackles. No,
- 1:11:13Speaker 1: he's the safety valve literally and figuratively and having to
- 1:11:17Speaker 1: come up and make plays and make tackles from depth,
- 1:11:19Speaker 1: and he is and then addition kind of makes when
- 1:11:21Speaker 1: he's the you know, he's the flat safety and cover
- 1:11:24Speaker 1: three sky and the ball gets you know, spit out
- 1:11:26Speaker 1: to the flat or underneath, to a tight end or
- 1:11:28Speaker 1: a slot. He's taking an angle and he's driving him
- 1:11:30Speaker 1: out right. But I think that comes more naturally to
- 1:11:32Speaker 1: him because that's a lot of what he played at
- 1:11:34Speaker 1: Utah and with how big and explosive he is, he
- 1:11:36Speaker 1: he's just such a force and a factor in the underneath.
- 1:11:41Speaker 1: But yeah, only one mistackle on the year, and he's
- 1:11:44Speaker 1: been tested with some explosive runs from opponents, and he's
- 1:11:48Speaker 1: going to continue to be tested with explosive runs from
- 1:11:52Speaker 1: opponents because even when the Bills start to get more
- 1:11:55Speaker 1: sound from a run gap integrity fit perspective, which isn't
- 1:12:00Speaker 1: a guarantee, but I'd like to think that they will
- 1:12:02Speaker 1: because they've been pretty poor in that regard. I still
- 1:12:04Speaker 1: think they're gonna have a tendency to get blown off
- 1:12:06Speaker 1: the ball at times. Larry Ogunjobi will get moved by
- 1:12:09Speaker 1: double teams. Deon Walker is gonna get moved by double teams.
- 1:12:11Speaker 1: T J. Sanders has done better than he's getting credit for.
- 1:12:13Speaker 1: But he'll get moved from some double teams at every
- 1:12:16Speaker 1: once in a while will but he's he's gotten pretty
- 1:12:19Speaker 1: good against them. And even until you get a lot
- 1:12:22Speaker 1: of the until you get ed back, until you get
- 1:12:24Speaker 1: Ogunjobe back, Jordan Phillips is probably gonna see some reps.
- 1:12:27Speaker 1: He's getting moved left and right up front. So you
- 1:12:29Speaker 1: are going to get creases. You are gonna get running
- 1:12:32Speaker 1: backs that are gonna get ahead of steam and are
- 1:12:34Speaker 1: gonna break through the first line of defense, no pun intended,
- 1:12:36Speaker 1: and break through the second line, and the safeties are
- 1:12:39Speaker 1: gonna have to come up and make plays and cole
- 1:12:41Speaker 1: bishup to this point, no Jingk's fingers crossed has come
- 1:12:45Speaker 1: up and made place single high split high split high
- 1:12:49Speaker 1: single high split field. Either or he's reading. He's coming
- 1:12:54Speaker 1: up with good with purpose an urgency, but also wonder
- 1:13:00Speaker 1: control and with a good angle and then coming up
- 1:13:02Speaker 1: and making sound formed up tackles. And again it also
- 1:13:04Speaker 1: helps that you know he's two hundred and seven pounds
- 1:13:07Speaker 1: and has some size on him and has some speed
- 1:13:08Speaker 1: to him. So when he comes forward and he hits you,
- 1:13:13Speaker 1: he hits you. There is force in that tackle and
- 1:13:17Speaker 1: in that impact and at the tackle point. So that's
- 1:13:20Speaker 1: going to continue to be needed. Rap's gonna have to
- 1:13:22Speaker 1: step up that in his game as well. Wrap last
- 1:13:24Speaker 1: year was tremendous fitting the run from depth. He he
- 1:13:28Speaker 1: shut the door on a lot of big runs. The
- 1:13:30Speaker 1: one that don't it happened all year really, but the
- 1:13:33Speaker 1: one that immediately comes to mind is one of the
- 1:13:34Speaker 1: McCaffrey runs in the snow against San Francisco. He breaks
- 1:13:37Speaker 1: through one touched and Rap is the only one who
- 1:13:39Speaker 1: has a shot at him, comes up and just buries
- 1:13:41Speaker 1: him in the open field, like fifteen yards downfield. But
- 1:13:43Speaker 1: if Rap misses, it's a touchdown. So Rap is gonna
- 1:13:47Speaker 1: have to improve in that regard because these type of
- 1:13:49Speaker 1: gashing runs that we're seeing against the Bills defense are
- 1:13:53Speaker 1: going to continue. So Rap is gonna have to be sound.
- 1:13:55Speaker 1: Bishop is gonna have to be sound. It could be
- 1:13:57Speaker 1: split field, it could be single high. They're going to
- 1:14:01Speaker 1: have to come up and fit the run and drop guys.
- 1:14:06Speaker 1: It's not going to be enough to just be like okay,
- 1:14:08Speaker 1: kind of gum them up or impede the runner. You
- 1:14:10Speaker 1: got to come up and you've got to drop them.
- 1:14:12Speaker 1: Whether it's in you know, between the twenties, whether it's
- 1:14:15Speaker 1: in the red zone, the low red zone, the high
- 1:14:17Speaker 1: red zone, it doesn't matter. You got to come up
- 1:14:18Speaker 1: and you got to drop dudes. And Bishop has been very,
- 1:14:21Speaker 1: very very sound in that regard. I still think he
- 1:14:24Speaker 1: needs to improve and continue to improve from a coverage perspective,
- 1:14:28Speaker 1: which I don't think is a huge negative. I think
- 1:14:30Speaker 1: for me, that's part for the course. Right again, he
- 1:14:32Speaker 1: is learning to play deeper and farther from the line
- 1:14:35Speaker 1: of scrimmage in single high and split field looks cover two,
- 1:14:39Speaker 1: cover four, cover six, some match stuff, cover one, cover three,
- 1:14:43Speaker 1: everything like, he is learning how to play that with
- 1:14:47Speaker 1: regularity and to play that with consistency. So it may
- 1:14:52Speaker 1: seem kind of like small, but the farther you get
- 1:14:55Speaker 1: or the closer you get, it feels different. When you're
- 1:14:57Speaker 1: there on the field, how you know, the the speed
- 1:15:00Speaker 1: of the game changes, the angles change, your vantage point changes,
- 1:15:04Speaker 1: your peripheral changes, your direct changes, how you see the game,
- 1:15:08Speaker 1: how you move. It's much different six or seven yards
- 1:15:11Speaker 1: off the ball, you know in the slot or as
- 1:15:14Speaker 1: a down safety versus fifteen to twenty yards deep pre snap,
- 1:15:19Speaker 1: or you know on the snap when you're dropping is
- 1:15:21Speaker 1: a single high safety or split field, you're getting over
- 1:15:23Speaker 1: the top and you've got to make sure you know
- 1:15:25Speaker 1: okay on the field safety, on boundary safety. This is
- 1:15:28Speaker 1: how many guys there are on my side. And then
- 1:15:30Speaker 1: this is the route distribution. This is the spacing, This
- 1:15:32Speaker 1: is the down and distance. It all changes depending on
- 1:15:36Speaker 1: how far you are from the line of scrimmage and
- 1:15:37Speaker 1: the spot that you're playing in that role. So it's
- 1:15:40Speaker 1: not just all yeah, just take him and drop him deep.
- 1:15:42Speaker 1: It'll be fine. It's something he has to learn and
- 1:15:44Speaker 1: get more comfortable with. I think he is still learning.
- 1:15:46Speaker 1: I think he is still getting more comfortable, but he's
- 1:15:49Speaker 1: gaining comfort every single week. He's gaining confidence every single week,
- 1:15:53Speaker 1: which is really really nice to see. And like I
- 1:15:56Speaker 1: said in the intro, to kind of tie it all
- 1:15:58Speaker 1: together here, he's got some good traits. He's got a
- 1:16:01Speaker 1: fun skill set, but in order to really take advantage
- 1:16:04Speaker 1: of it, he's got to have the mental aptitude to
- 1:16:07Speaker 1: be able to play fast. He's got a process fast,
- 1:16:10Speaker 1: so he can play fast. In order to play fast physically,
- 1:16:13Speaker 1: he has to play fast mentally, and he's starting to
- 1:16:16Speaker 1: do that, and that is what's really exciting from a
- 1:16:18Speaker 1: coverage standpoint and from a physical downhill, come forward, make
- 1:16:22Speaker 1: tackle standpoint. So really excited. He had a couple of
- 1:16:25Speaker 1: nice plays around the box in this one too, But yeah,
- 1:16:29Speaker 1: very encouraging, very very very encouraging from Cole Bisham. And
- 1:16:32Speaker 1: I say that as a person who was skeptical of
- 1:16:34Speaker 1: his fitness defense. I am still hopeful, more so than
- 1:16:38Speaker 1: I am sure that he's going to be the guy
- 1:16:41Speaker 1: there for the long term. But this is extremely encouraging
- 1:16:43Speaker 1: to see the process that he's making mentally, to see
- 1:16:46Speaker 1: the processing week over week, and again in theory, if
- 1:16:50Speaker 1: we're playing it out from this first quarter, I expect
- 1:16:53Speaker 1: him to be even better by week eight, and even
- 1:16:56Speaker 1: better by week twelve, and even better by week sixteen,
- 1:16:59Speaker 1: and you just keep stacking from there. Hopefully no jinks,
- 1:17:02Speaker 1: fingers crossed, no injuries, no anything that kind of makes
- 1:17:05Speaker 1: anything go sideways. I'm gonna go back and grab man here,
- 1:17:14Speaker 1: Joey's saying about Bishop. He's been putting up some nice
- 1:17:16Speaker 1: plays on tape with time on task. I imagine my week fifteen,
- 1:17:19Speaker 1: he'll be playing mind free and faster. That would be nice.
- 1:17:24Speaker 1: That would be nice. M R Jay saying, really hoping
- 1:17:28Speaker 1: to see more from Grout this year. Him and Benford
- 1:17:30Speaker 1: have been really disappointing so far. Unfortunately, I don't think
- 1:17:32Speaker 1: Benford has been for me, has been Benford hasn't been disappointing,
- 1:17:37Speaker 1: but I don't think he's played to the level he's
- 1:17:39Speaker 1: capable of playing at. Necessarily as a run defender. He has.
- 1:17:42Speaker 1: He's played like one of the best run defending corners
- 1:17:44Speaker 1: in the league. But yeah, I think there's some left
- 1:17:46Speaker 1: to be desired coverage pieces, but I think he's been overall.
- 1:17:48Speaker 1: I think he's been fine to solid, but not necessarily
- 1:17:50Speaker 1: the top ten corner that a lot of people build
- 1:17:52Speaker 1: him as, and that a lot of people yelled at
- 1:17:54Speaker 1: me when I said he wasn't. Groot is playing a
- 1:17:57Speaker 1: little banged up, and I think it's reflected in his performance.
- 1:18:01Speaker 1: But we'll see. I grabbed a bunch of these before
- 1:18:11Speaker 1: Bob said. I had to stop a Dollar General and
- 1:18:14Speaker 1: they had a cart in the middle of an aisle
- 1:18:16Speaker 1: filled a Christmas wrapping paper. Off topic, but I needed
- 1:18:18Speaker 1: event I think that that's very funny that you need
- 1:18:21Speaker 1: an event for that. Also, that is well, it's October now.
- 1:18:26Speaker 1: I even have the Halloween tree set up, got some
- 1:18:28Speaker 1: Halloween ornaments and some Halloween them garland. That is early.
- 1:18:31Speaker 1: I think that's fair. Oh, Lewis Enrique Aray says, how
- 1:18:36Speaker 1: would you rate Bishop's ceiling versus Micah or Poyer? Oh wow?
- 1:18:43Speaker 1: From a trades perspective. From a trades perspective, I would
- 1:18:49Speaker 1: say Bishop's ceiling is higher for as interchangeable as Poyer
- 1:18:56Speaker 1: and Hide were neither of them, and at the size
- 1:19:03Speaker 1: and athleticism combination that Bishop has. So Bishop is six
- 1:19:07Speaker 1: to two hundred and two pounds with a one point five
- 1:19:12Speaker 1: to two ten yard split, a four point four five
- 1:19:14Speaker 1: forty a thirty nine inch vert, and one hundred and
- 1:19:17Speaker 1: twenty two inch broad, So that ten yard split seventy
- 1:19:19Speaker 1: six percent out, eighty four percent out for the forty
- 1:19:22Speaker 1: eighty six percent out for the vert, sixty percentile for
- 1:19:25Speaker 1: the broad jump. And again he can jump, he can
- 1:19:28Speaker 1: he has explosion, he has juice. At six two two
- 1:19:31Speaker 1: hundred and six pounds, Poyer was six foot one ninety one,
- 1:19:34Speaker 1: so Poyer was two inches shorter and fifteen pounds lighter.
- 1:19:41Speaker 1: And Hyde was six foot one ninety seven, so two
- 1:19:46Speaker 1: inches shorter and what did I say, nine pounds lighter
- 1:19:53Speaker 1: than Bishop? And Hyde was great with his angles. He
- 1:19:57Speaker 1: was a good athlete in his own right. I don't
- 1:19:58Speaker 1: think the testing necessarily reflec I think how could have
- 1:20:00Speaker 1: an athlete Hide was, especially as a dude who started
- 1:20:02Speaker 1: out as a solid punt returner with the Packers and
- 1:20:05Speaker 1: as a nickel and safety and all this stuff. But
- 1:20:08Speaker 1: I think with Bishop's size and athleticism profile, the ceiling
- 1:20:13Speaker 1: is higher, just purely from a physical standpoint. If you
- 1:20:16Speaker 1: can start to get the processing up, you could really,
- 1:20:19Speaker 1: you could really, really really really start to see them
- 1:20:22Speaker 1: take off a bit. I think it's a comment in
- 1:20:25Speaker 1: response to that's saying Bishop is a better athlete than
- 1:20:27Speaker 1: either of those guys. But the game is mental also, Yeah,
- 1:20:29Speaker 1: I think just the size and athleticism profile plays differently
- 1:20:33Speaker 1: the mental sides. Gotta get there. Thank Ninjas says how
- 1:20:36Speaker 1: much is the inconsistent play week side linebacker and CB
- 1:20:38Speaker 1: two influenced the rest of the secondary? We linebacker a
- 1:20:44Speaker 1: little bit. I think, if anything, would probably impact the
- 1:20:47Speaker 1: calls more so than like the players themselves impacting the plays,
- 1:20:53Speaker 1: if that makes sense, Like more so than Dorian impacting anything,
- 1:20:55Speaker 1: or Trey or Dorian Strong impacting anything. It's more so
- 1:20:59Speaker 1: been the calls and what defense is doing schematically given
- 1:21:02Speaker 1: the players that they have on the field. But it
- 1:21:06Speaker 1: has a hand in it for sure, especially when you're
- 1:21:08Speaker 1: seeing you know, Dorian get lost at times. He looks
- 1:21:11Speaker 1: a little hobbled as well. I think he's on the
- 1:21:13Speaker 1: injury report today actually, but he looked hobbled in this
- 1:21:15Speaker 1: past game. What was gotten through some stuff. But yeah,
- 1:21:18Speaker 1: if you've got gaps in coverage or you're not calling
- 1:21:22Speaker 1: certain calls because of who you have out there, is
- 1:21:23Speaker 1: going to impact the rest of the secondary and honestly
- 1:21:25Speaker 1: the entire defense as a whole. So I would say
- 1:21:27Speaker 1: it's definitely having an impact, especially from the weak side
- 1:21:31Speaker 1: linebacker perspective. Milano is a really strong communicator like him,
- 1:21:36Speaker 1: Bernard Tarren Johnson do a lot for that defense, and
- 1:21:41Speaker 1: you know Bernard obviously stepped his game up when Milano
- 1:21:43Speaker 1: went out, But even just from a get everybody set perspective,
- 1:21:47Speaker 1: Milano does a lot. So it's definitely influences the entire
- 1:21:50Speaker 1: back seven from a call perspective, and from an in
- 1:21:52Speaker 1: play even adjustment perspective, and we know how much teams
- 1:21:55Speaker 1: love to shift and use motion to kind of catch
- 1:21:57Speaker 1: the bills out. So someone like Milano in there or
- 1:22:00Speaker 1: not being in there, I should say, impacts things for sure.
- 1:22:05Speaker 1: Speaking of things that are for sure, if you want
- 1:22:10Speaker 1: the best pizza in Buffalo, New York, and you need
- 1:22:13Speaker 1: to get some pizza that is for sure delicious, the
- 1:22:16Speaker 1: answer is you need to get yourself some one Pie Pizza,
- 1:22:20Speaker 1: the best pizza in Buffalo, New York. Sweet sauce pie
- 1:22:23Speaker 1: cup and char pepperoni, a great cheese, the sauce ratio
- 1:22:26Speaker 1: talking when you take a bite the cheese doesn't come
- 1:22:28Speaker 1: off or you're not just getting sauce, or you're not
- 1:22:30Speaker 1: just getting cheese. Like the cheese, the dough, to the
- 1:22:32Speaker 1: sauce to the homemade blue cheese. It's great. They make
- 1:22:35Speaker 1: really good salads. They also have a catering division that's great,
- 1:22:39Speaker 1: elevated catering a Buffalo. They make these awesome mac and cheeses,
- 1:22:41Speaker 1: this coconut rice and chicken dish that's amazing. They sincerely
- 1:22:45Speaker 1: make a ton of great food. The online menu for
- 1:22:48Speaker 1: One Pied Pizza and for their catering division can be
- 1:22:50Speaker 1: found in the episode show notes, whether here on YouTube
- 1:22:52Speaker 1: or whichever podcasting Apple platform you're listening to this show on.
- 1:22:57Speaker 1: They're really good people making really good food. And I
- 1:22:59Speaker 1: don't say that or say that they're the best pizza
- 1:23:01Speaker 1: in Buffalo because they sponsor the show. They sponsor the
- 1:23:03Speaker 1: show because they're good people and because their food is phenomenal.
- 1:23:06Speaker 1: And I say they're good people because of all the
- 1:23:09Speaker 1: different things they do for the community and the city
- 1:23:10Speaker 1: at large and talk about it all the time. The SPC,
- 1:23:13Speaker 1: you know, partnering with the SBCA, the Alzheimer's Foundation partner
- 1:23:15Speaker 1: with Roswell to try and knock out cancer. They're yearly
- 1:23:18Speaker 1: Toys for Tots drive which will be coming up soon
- 1:23:21Speaker 1: for the holiday season. So if you live in Buffalo,
- 1:23:23Speaker 1: get yourself from One Pie Pizza and bring a toy
- 1:23:26Speaker 1: or toys. Usually what the theme is or the theme
- 1:23:29Speaker 1: is the idea is for every toy that you bring,
- 1:23:31Speaker 1: you get a ticket entered in a raffle and then
- 1:23:33Speaker 1: they have five prizes. It's various, like autograph memorabilia from
- 1:23:37Speaker 1: Buffalo Sports. It might be free pizza, it might be
- 1:23:39Speaker 1: an autograph Jersey. It might be tickets to something. They
- 1:23:42Speaker 1: do a lot of really cool sports theme prizes and
- 1:23:45Speaker 1: gifts there. So if giving someone a toy or bringing
- 1:23:49Speaker 1: a toy or donating isn't enough to kind of do
- 1:23:52Speaker 1: it for you, you know, and you want some incentive,
- 1:23:54Speaker 1: you have a chance to win an awesome prize, So
- 1:23:56Speaker 1: get ready for that and treat your taste buds while
- 1:23:59Speaker 1: you're at it again. Online menu for One Pie Pizza
- 1:24:02Speaker 1: and for their catering division can be found the episode
- 1:24:05Speaker 1: show and that's what they're here on YouTube or whichever
- 1:24:06Speaker 1: podcasting aper platform you are listening to this show on.
- 1:24:09Speaker 1: I'm goa throw up the banner. This is tootles folk,
- 1:24:11Speaker 1: because we're gona start to wind down. Got this comment
- 1:24:13Speaker 1: from the question from Joey. Joey says, what grade would
- 1:24:16Speaker 1: you give Babbage through the first quarter of this season?
- 1:24:23Speaker 1: On the one hand, you know a play Devil's advocate.
- 1:24:25Speaker 1: It's a little tough, you know. I Hairston. I don't
- 1:24:28Speaker 1: know what role he was going to play, but Harston
- 1:24:30Speaker 1: gets hurt at Oliver is a very important piece of
- 1:24:34Speaker 1: the defense. He goes down after week one. No Matt Milano,
- 1:24:38Speaker 1: Hoy Nogan Joey are suspended. So a lot of the
- 1:24:41Speaker 1: guys that you want to hang your head on to
- 1:24:42Speaker 1: some degree or have changes injected in to the defense
- 1:24:46Speaker 1: with haven't been available. So I don't want to just
- 1:24:52Speaker 1: be completely unfair. I'm gonna say a C because of
- 1:24:58Speaker 1: the guys that they been missing with injury. I think
- 1:25:02Speaker 1: a C is fair. If they were playing the way
- 1:25:05Speaker 1: they're playing and everybody was healthy, i'd probably give it
- 1:25:07Speaker 1: like a C minus or even like a D. What's
- 1:25:10Speaker 1: after right Pelosi or D plus something like that. But
- 1:25:13Speaker 1: I think a C is fair C C minus. The
- 1:25:16Speaker 1: run game concerns are a concern. I think there's still
- 1:25:19Speaker 1: somewhat of a disconnect between Russian coverage. The third down
- 1:25:22Speaker 1: defense has been poor at times. The tackling has kind
- 1:25:25Speaker 1: of been a bit wonky. They're they're out of sorts
- 1:25:28Speaker 1: from not necessarily from a Jimmy and Joe's perspective, but
- 1:25:30Speaker 1: from an x's and o's and schematic and structural standpoint
- 1:25:33Speaker 1: in a lot of ways. And some of that is
- 1:25:35Speaker 1: due to, you know, again, you've got injuries, and you've
- 1:25:37Speaker 1: got suspension, You've got rookies playing more reps, and rookies
- 1:25:40Speaker 1: have growing pains and learnings, but I'll give them a
- 1:25:43Speaker 1: C and as k Moury says, sees get degrees, hopefully
- 1:25:47Speaker 1: it gets Super Bowls too. That's very funny. Everybody be
- 1:25:50Speaker 1: like lou Lu says, Oh shoot, I almost forgot to
- 1:25:52Speaker 1: like the show. Drop a leke on this video. If
- 1:25:54Speaker 1: you have not dropped a like already, please please please,

- 1:25:58Speaker 1: of the lifeblood of these streams on YouTube, and they
- 1:26:00Speaker 1: sincerely go a long way towards help myself in the
- 1:26:03Speaker 1: entire team track and trying in front of more eyes
- 1:26:05Speaker 1: and ears. Drop a like on this video. If you

- 1:26:13Speaker 1: one pie pizza next week, and just not sure what
- 1:26:16Speaker 1: I'm going to try next yet, whatever you get, as
- 1:26:19Speaker 1: you did the last time you got one pie pizza,
- 1:26:22Speaker 1: take a picture, tweet it at me, tag me in it,
- 1:26:26Speaker 1: let me know what you got and how good it
- 1:26:28Speaker 1: was on a scale one to ten. I appreciate you. Yeah,

- 1:27:03Speaker 1: loved ones about this show, about this episode. If they're
- 1:27:09Speaker 1: Bills fans, if they just like football, if they value
- 1:27:12Speaker 1: if they want to learn more about the game, learn
- 1:27:13Speaker 1: more about the Bills, whatever it is. If you find
- 1:27:15Speaker 1: value in this show, or think there's anything that anyone
- 1:27:17Speaker 1: could pull from this show from a value perspective or
- 1:27:20Speaker 1: an entertainment perspective, whatever it is. Word of mouth is
- 1:27:23Speaker 1: tremendously appreciated and tremendously helpful. So please tell your family
- 1:27:26Speaker 1: and friends and loved ones, colleagues, acquaintances, whatever, about the show,
- 1:27:29Speaker 1: about this channel, about the brand. If you hated this show,
- 1:27:33Speaker 1: or you hate me or you hate this episode or
- 1:27:36Speaker 1: Cole Bishop or whatever, tell your enemies about this and
- 1:27:40Speaker 1: try and ruin their day or night by making them
- 1:27:42Speaker 1: watch this show. I appreciate everybody who stop by to
- 1:27:44Speaker 1: join me live. You know, again, a bit of a
- 1:27:47Speaker 1: wonky schedule this week not being on Tuesdays. We will
- 1:27:49Speaker 1: be back to our regularly scheduled Tuesday nine pm live
- 1:27:53Speaker 1: slot next week, so do not fret. We'll be kind
- 1:27:57Speaker 1: of back in the regular rotation there for that next
- 1:28:01Speaker 1: week Tuesday nine pm Eastern next week, and yeah that
- 1:28:05Speaker 1: I'll do it for us here on the show. I
- 1:28:06Speaker 1: hope you folks enjoyed, enjoyed this, and continue to enjoy
- 1:28:10Speaker 1: this format I am. My plan is for you know,
- 1:28:13Speaker 1: certain games, for rivalry games or division games or bigger
- 1:28:16Speaker 1: games I am aiming to do. I'm gonna keep this format,
- 1:28:19Speaker 1: but for those you know, certain weeks, I am aiming
- 1:28:22Speaker 1: to have a guest on as a bonus episode to
- 1:28:27Speaker 1: kind of do the matchup preview show that we used
- 1:28:29Speaker 1: to do regularly for the past several years. This week
- 1:28:31Speaker 1: I was gonna do it with Taylor Kyle's who covers
- 1:28:33Speaker 1: the pass for CLNS Media. He's awesome, but I was
- 1:28:37Speaker 1: just unable to work it in with my schedule last
- 1:28:40Speaker 1: night' schedule today and all the business and things that
- 1:28:41Speaker 1: I got going on from a positive perspective in life,
- 1:28:43Speaker 1: but just was unable to fit it in. But that
- 1:28:45Speaker 1: is my plan going forward. So you will have weeks
- 1:28:46Speaker 1: where there's two episodes of Disguised covered. So I hope
- 1:28:48Speaker 1: you folks enjoy that. We will continue this format with
- 1:28:51Speaker 1: these breakdowns and film. Some episodes will have a bunch
- 1:28:54Speaker 1: of advanced metrics depending on what we're talking about. Some
- 1:28:56Speaker 1: some of them won't. But yeah, I hope you enjoyed
- 1:28:59Speaker 1: this episode. Hope you enjoy this format. We'll be back
- 1:29:01Speaker 1: next Tuesday, nine pm Eastern in our regularly scheduled Disguise
- 1:29:06Speaker 1: coverage time slot. And until then, I hope you and
- 1:29:09Speaker 1: your family and friends and loved ones are all doing
- 1:29:11Speaker 1: well and staying safe. Be kind of one another, take
- 1:29:14Speaker 1: care of one another. If you are going to the
- 1:29:15Speaker 1: game this weekend, have fun, be safe, enjoy yourself again.
- 1:29:20Speaker 1: I will see you when I see you, God speed,
- 1:29:23Speaker 1: and as always, Oh and I see some of the
- 1:29:25Speaker 1: nice comments that have come through for myself, I see them.
- 1:29:27Speaker 1: I appreciate them. As you all know, I don't pull
- 1:29:29Speaker 1: that stuff up when I'm solo because I think it's corny,
- 1:29:32Speaker 1: but I see it and it means a lot, and
- 1:29:33Speaker 1: I really appreciate it. And thank you again everybody who
- 1:29:36Speaker 1: joined me live. It's always nice to see a bunch
- 1:29:37Speaker 1: of people in here. The engagement with each other, the
- 1:29:39Speaker 1: questions for myself, the back and forth. It's nice to
- 1:29:41Speaker 1: have that when I'm riding solo. So I appreciate you folks.
- 1:29:43Speaker 1: God speed, as always go Bills
