  quickly and wished you could take it back?

  A harsh text, a sharp answer, a door slammed, a friendship

  strained. Sometimes the hardest part of
• 0:22
  following God is not knowing what to do.
• 0:25
  It is learning how to respond when emotions are loud.
• 0:29
  Proverbs chapter 15 verses 18 to 19 says a hot tempered man stirs
• 0:34
  up strife, but he who is slow to anger quiets contention.
• 0:39
  The way of a lazy man is like a hedge of thorns, but the path of
• 0:43
  the upright is a level highway. First Corinthians Chapter 7
• 0:47
  verse 20 says each person should remain in the condition in which
• 0:51
  he was called. In that chapter, Paul also
• 0:54
  speaks about faithfulness, commitment, and honoring God in
• 0:59
  the relationships and situations where we find ourselves.

  Patience is not weakness. Patience is strength under
• 1:06
  control. It is the ability to pause
• 1:09
  before you explode. Pray before you decide, and
• 1:12
  choose peace when conflict is trying to pull you in.
• 1:15
  A hot temper can turn a small issue into a painful wound, but
• 1:19
  a calm spirit can quiet tension and protect relationships.
• 1:24
  And then Proverbs gives us another picture.
• 1:27
  Laziness creates a path like a hedge of thorns, but uprightness
• 1:30
  creates a level highway. In other words, some struggles
• 1:35
  become harder because we avoid responsibility, delay obedience,
• 1:39
  or refuse discipline. But when we walk faithfully with
• 1:42
  God, one right step at a time, He makes the path clearer.
• 1:46
  Maybe you are waiting for something to change.
• 1:49
  Maybe you feel stuck in your family, your school, your job,
• 1:53
  or your season of life. God is not asking you to escape
• 1:56
  faithfulness. He is teaching you to honor Him
• 1:59
  right where you are. Let's pray.

  Heavenly Father, teach me to be slow to anger and quick to
• 2:05
  listen. Help me respond with patience
• 2:08
  when life feels frustrating. Give me the courage to be
• 2:11
  faithful in the place You have called me, even when I wish
• 2:14
  things were different. Remove laziness, pride and
• 2:18
  impulsiveness from my heart and lead me on the upright path that
• 2:21
  brings peace in Jesus name, Amen.

  I, but the Lord, that the wife not leave her husband, but if

  she departs, let her remain unmarried, or else be reconciled

  to her husband, and that the husband not leave his wife.

  But to the rest, I, not the Lord, say, if any brother has an

  unbelieving wife and she is content to live with him, let

  him not leave her. The woman who has an unbelieving

  husband and he is content to live with her, let her not leave

  her husband. For the unbelieving husband is
• 5:34
  sanctified in the wife, and the unbelieving wife is sanctified
• 5:38
  in the husband. Otherwise your children would be
• 5:40
  unclean. But now they are holy.

  Yet if the unbeliever departs, let there be separation.

  The brother or the sister is not under bondage in such cases, but

  God has called us in peace. For how do you know wife,

  whether you will save your husband?

  Or how do you know, husband, whether you will save your wife?

  Only as the Lord has distributed to each man, as God has called

  each, so let him walk. So I command in all the

  assemblies, Was anyone called having been circumcised, Let him

  not become uncircumcised. Has anyone been called in

  uncircumcision? Let him not be circumcised.

  Circumcision is nothing, and uncircumcision is nothing but

  the keeping of the commandments of God.

  Let each man stay in that calling in which he was called.

  Were you called being a bondservant?

  Don't let that bother you, but if you get an opportunity to

  become free, use it. For he who was called in the

  Lord, being a bondservant, is the Lord's freeman.

  Likewise, he who was called being free is Christ's

  bondservant. You were bought with a price.

  Don't become bond servants of men, brothers.

  Let each man, in whatever condition he was called, stay in
• 6:54
  that condition with God. Now concerning virgins, I have
• 6:58
  no commandment from the Lord, but I give my judgment as one
• 7:02
  who has obtained mercy from the Lord to be trustworthy.

  Therefore I think that because of the distress that is on us,

  that it's good for a man to remain as he is.

  Are you bound to a wife? Don't seek to be freed.

  Are you free from a wife? Don't seek a wife.

  But if you marry, you have not sinned.

  If a virgin marries, she has not sinned yet such will have
• 7:24
  oppression in the flesh. And I want to spare you.

  But I say this, brothers, the time is short, that from now on
• 7:30
  both those who have wives may be as though they had none, and
• 7:34
  those who weep as though they didn't weep.
• 7:36
  And those who rejoice as though they didn't rejoice.
• 7:40
  And those who buy as though they didn't possess, and those who
• 7:44
  use the world as not using it to the fullest.

  For the mode of this world passes away.
• 7:50
  But I desire to have you to be free from cares.
• 7:53
  He who is unmarried is concerned for the things of the Lord, how
• 7:57
  he may please the Lord. But he who is married is
• 8:00
  concerned about the things of the world, how he may please his
• 8:03
  wife. There is also a difference
• 8:06
  between a wife and a virgin. The unmarried woman cares about
• 8:09
  the things of the Lord, that she may be holy both in body and in
• 8:13
  spirit, but she who is married cares about the things of the
• 8:17
  world how she may please her husband.
• 8:21
  This I say for your own profit, not that I may ensnare you, but
• 8:25
  for that which is appropriate, and that you may attend to the
• 8:28
  Lord without distraction. But if any man thinks that he is
• 8:32
  behaving inappropriately toward his virgin, if she is past the
• 8:35
  flower of her age, and if need so requires, let him do what he
• 8:39
  desires, He doesn't sin, let them marry.
• 8:43
  But he who stands steadfast in his heart, having no urgency,
• 8:47
  but has power over his own will, and has determined in his own
• 8:51
  heart to keep his own virgin, does well.
• 8:54
  So then both he who gives his own virgin in marriage does
• 8:57
  well, and he who doesn't give her in marriage does better.

  A wife is bound by law for as long as her husband lives, But
• 9:05
  if the husband is dead, she is free to be married to whomever
• 9:08
  she desires only in the Lord. But she is happier if she stays
• 9:13
  as she is, in my judgement. And I think that I also have
• 9:16
