- 0:00Speaker 1: Inconceivable, inconceivable, inconceivable, inconceivable. You give using that for I
- 0:07Speaker 1: don't think I missed what you think of miss Sports
- 0:14Speaker 1: Radio AM thirteen hundred the Zone, Andrews and Will filling
- 0:18Speaker 1: in for Craig Way. And it is a Friday, which
- 0:21Speaker 1: means it is a Florida man Friday. That is right.
- 0:26Speaker 1: Let us get into it. So a lot of people
- 0:31Speaker 1: know the SEC as the Southeastern Conference, and a lot
- 0:35Speaker 1: of Florida people know it as you have the SEC
- 0:37Speaker 1: the football conference that they plan. However, one Florida man
- 0:41Speaker 1: is learning what the SEC is when we talk about
- 0:44Speaker 1: federal offenses, and that is the Securities and Exchange Commission,
- 0:47Speaker 1: because they have charged a man and this firm in
- 0:49Speaker 1: book Raton, Florida. Nothing ever, good happens to bouk Raton
- 0:53Speaker 1: with allegedly defrauding more than twenty investors for approximately two
- 0:58Speaker 1: point one million million dollars. David Krisher and his law
- 1:02Speaker 1: firm misrepresented how investors' funds would be used in private
- 1:07Speaker 1: securities offerings relating to short term loans for professional athletes
- 1:14Speaker 1: and sports agents, including current informer NFL players. So current
- 1:20Speaker 1: and former NFL players are being defrauded. Is essentially what
- 1:23Speaker 1: this story becomes. The SEC complainant says that approximately ten
- 1:27Speaker 1: point five million was raised from investors through a series
- 1:30Speaker 1: of different LLCs and all the legal mumbo jumbo. The
- 1:35Speaker 1: agency further accuses krishtron Is firm of using almost one
- 1:38Speaker 1: point five million in loan repayments that should be paid
- 1:41Speaker 1: to investors to pay personal expenses such as credit cards,
- 1:45Speaker 1: college tuition, country club dues, luxury vacation, mersides, benzes, and more.
- 1:50Speaker 1: The SEC is seeking a permanent injunction. The allegations have
- 1:54Speaker 1: not been proven in core YadA, YadA, YadA. The point
- 1:56Speaker 1: of the story is that NFL players were being defrauded. Now,
- 2:03Speaker 1: we've all seen the thirty for thirty on from billionaire
- 2:07Speaker 1: to broke, millionaire to broke, and we know that NFL
- 2:10Speaker 1: players and professional athletes sometimes struggle with, you know, controlling
- 2:15Speaker 1: their money and their spending habits. And of course there's
- 2:17Speaker 1: always the nasty manager who wants to rob from you
- 2:21Speaker 1: and steal from you too. I understand that, but I
- 2:24Speaker 1: would be very concerned if I was a NFL player,
- 2:27Speaker 1: because not only are there people out here trying to
- 2:30Speaker 1: steal my money through completely illegal methods, right but pretending
- 2:35Speaker 1: to be legal. But you also have Travis Kelcey and
- 2:37Speaker 1: Patrick Mahomes whose homes were broken into earlier this week,
- 2:42Speaker 1: which then led the NFL to do a full report
- 2:45Speaker 1: and say, hey, guys, watch out for burglers breaking into homes.
- 2:49Speaker 1: This is not a new thing. This is something that's
- 2:52Speaker 1: been happening a lot. And then the NBA today had
- 2:55Speaker 1: to put out a similar statement. So NFL players, clutch
- 2:59Speaker 1: your purses. It is tough out here. Well, we've all
- 3:04Speaker 1: seen Elon Musk. He now lives in and around Austin, Texas.
- 3:09Speaker 1: He's on the news all of the time. Many people
- 3:11Speaker 1: would probably be able to pick Elon Musk out of
- 3:14Speaker 1: a crowd. However, sometimes it's a little bit harder when
- 3:18Speaker 1: it's over the phone. And one Florida man was arrested
- 3:21Speaker 1: for impersonating Elon Musk in a two hundred and fifty
- 3:25Speaker 1: one thousand dollars fraud scheme. The Florida man has been
- 3:28Speaker 1: arrested for impersonating the tech billionaire and attempting to defraud
- 3:32Speaker 1: a seventy four year old woman out of at least
- 3:35Speaker 1: a quarter of a million dollars. Court of Law Enforcement
- 3:38Speaker 1: officers Jeffrey Authur Moyen Junior was taking a custody on
- 3:44Speaker 1: Tuesday evening and facing charges of grand theft. Waen allegedly
- 3:48Speaker 1: posed as the CEO of Tesla and SpaceX, building a
- 3:51Speaker 1: friendship with the victim, a woman from Texas, nevertheless, through Facebook,
- 3:56Speaker 1: starting last year. As part of the scam, the victim
- 3:59Speaker 1: was promised and straordinary return on investment of fifty five
- 4:03Speaker 1: million dollars for investigators. The victim's husband revealed that she'd
- 4:07Speaker 1: been duped into relinquishing nearly six hundred thousand dollars in total,
- 4:15Speaker 1: with two hundred and fifty thousand of that amount traced
- 4:19Speaker 1: to an account linked to Moyam. The victim was convinced
- 4:23Speaker 1: that she had invested her money directly with Elon Musk
- 4:27Speaker 1: and felt a very personal connection with him. The scam
- 4:31Speaker 1: began when the fake must gained the victim's trust, suggesting
- 4:35Speaker 1: she invests in his businesses, and over time, the victim
- 4:39Speaker 1: made several financial transactions she believed were in Musk's ventures.
- 4:45Speaker 1: To strengthen the ruse, Moyan would frequently update the victim
- 4:49Speaker 1: with fabricated details about must daily activities, offering referring to
- 4:53Speaker 1: recent news articles to make the interactions feel more personal.
- 4:59Speaker 1: During the arrest, Moois was found shirtless at his residence,
- 5:02Speaker 1: as many Florida men are, and when questioned the charges
- 5:05Speaker 1: of grand theft, asking grand theft of what, officers informed
- 5:08Speaker 1: him that the detective would provide further details. Moyn later
- 5:12Speaker 1: claimed that the two hundred and fifty thousand dollars was
- 5:14Speaker 1: meant for his girlfriend, with whom he had an online relationship,
- 5:18Speaker 1: raising the possibility of him being involved in a separate,
- 5:22Speaker 1: fraudulent scheme. So it's very easy to pretend to be
- 5:29Speaker 1: somebody online. I think we all know this. Catfishing is
- 5:32Speaker 1: a very popular thing. However, to catfish as a billionaire,
- 5:37Speaker 1: to be duped by a man who's saying there, Elon Musk,
- 5:40Speaker 1: I'm going to break some news to you here. If
- 5:42Speaker 1: a celebrity is reaching out to you on social media,
- 5:46Speaker 1: it's probably a fake account. Let's keep it moving. A
- 5:49Speaker 1: Florida man launches a rocket at a person a girlfriend,
- 5:58Speaker 1: ends up exploding near a very sensitive area. You wonder
- 6:03Speaker 1: sometimes how do you end up in one of these articles? Well,
- 6:07Speaker 1: thirty five year old from Jacksonville, he showed up. What
- 6:11Speaker 1: he did was he bought the he brought the idea
- 6:13Speaker 1: of a firework with a six inch fireworks rocket at
- 6:16Speaker 1: his girlfriend before peeling out of his Mustang. So he's
- 6:18Speaker 1: gonna shoot the He's gonna shoot the firework at his girlfriend.
- 6:24Speaker 1: Never a good idea. Uh. He was going to drive away,
- 6:28Speaker 1: then right, shoot the rocket, drive away, Shoot the rocket,
- 6:32Speaker 1: drive away. Well, what ended up happening is he shot
- 6:35Speaker 1: the rocket. He forgot to drive away instead, the rocket
- 6:41Speaker 1: was trapped in his car, ricocheted around the car, and
- 6:45Speaker 1: then hit him in the crotch and exploded. Luckily, the
- 6:51Speaker 1: man's neighbors heard the explosion, rushed to the scene, were
- 6:56Speaker 1: able to pack his groin with ice. And that is
- 6:59Speaker 1: where our story ends. We do not know what happened
- 7:02Speaker 1: from that point on. The lesson to be learned there
- 7:05Speaker 1: do not fire fireworks at anybody. It's not a safe
- 7:08Speaker 1: thing to do, all right. We were talking earlier this
- 7:10Speaker 1: week about the Jake Paul and Mike Tyson fight on Netflix.
- 7:15Speaker 1: There was a ton of streaming issues. Well, one Florida
- 7:19Speaker 1: man is taking up for the rest of us. According
- 7:21Speaker 1: to tmz A, a class action lawsuit has been filed
- 7:24Speaker 1: against the streaming service Netflix on Monday by a Florida
- 7:29Speaker 1: resident that is being referred to as Blue Denton. The filing,
- 7:34Speaker 1: which was made three days after the boxing match, claims
- 7:37Speaker 1: that in addition to Denton, thousands struggled to watch the fight. Now,
- 7:41Speaker 1: if you tried to watch the fight over the weekend,
- 7:43Speaker 1: you know exactly what I'm talking about, the buffering, the
- 7:47Speaker 1: circle of death. It just Netflix did not seem like
- 7:50Speaker 1: they were ready for this type of main event, big thing,
- 7:54Speaker 1: big event, with Den suing Netflix for breach of contracting
- 7:57Speaker 1: seeking an unspecified damage. Others on social media complain to
- 8:02Speaker 1: the streaming quality, with memes floating around x in different
- 8:05Speaker 1: social media platforms. While the Tyson Paul fight peaked at
- 8:08Speaker 1: about sixty five million households along with thirty eight million streams,
- 8:15Speaker 1: Netflix showed awareness of technical issues postmatch. They put out
- 8:18Speaker 1: a tweet saying that they apologized for the struggles. Now,
- 8:23Speaker 1: my question then turns into if I was harmed by Netflix,
- 8:29Speaker 1: maybe not in the same way that these folks were.
- 8:31Speaker 1: Could I have financial compensation? Here's what I mean. I
- 8:34Speaker 1: don't think anybody should have been subjugated to seeing Mike
- 8:37Speaker 1: Tyson in those chaps. How do I make that money back?
- 8:41Speaker 1: I deserve compensation for mental damage and scarring that occurred.
- 8:47Speaker 1: All right, Finally, once South Florida man has turned a
- 8:50Speaker 1: five dollars scratch off into one million dollar prize. The
- 8:54Speaker 1: lottery winner had a one in three point eighty seven
- 8:58Speaker 1: million chants of winning. He won the one million dollars prize.
- 9:03Speaker 1: The officials saved the sixty seven year old chose to
- 9:06Speaker 1: receive the winnings in a one time lump sum, which
- 9:09Speaker 1: is right around six hundred and forty one thousand dollars.
- 9:13Speaker 1: And of course the retailer who sold him the ticket
- 9:16Speaker 1: gets some money as well. I think it's two thousand
- 9:18Speaker 1: dollars for the retailer that sold it as well. So
- 9:21Speaker 1: congratulations to him. If you want to play the lottery,
- 9:24Speaker 1: I don't blame you. I'm trying to win the lottery
- 9:26Speaker 1: every single day. When we come back, a NFL Hall
- 9:31Speaker 1: of Famer is getting a late night talk show, We
- 9:33Speaker 1: will talk does he deserve that spot? More? Next on
