  Speaker 1: we go today. I want to share something with you

  Speaker 1: that will help you because it's helped me. You know.

  Speaker 1: I was telling the story once that in this magazine

  Speaker 1: called Rob Report, that there was a statue I used

  Speaker 1: to see for years. I started buying Rob Report magazines
• 0:40
  Speaker 1: years ago. So I just wanted to see what affluent
• 0:43
  Speaker 1: people did, you know, just wanted to see what people
• 0:47
  Speaker 1: with means did, what type of investments they did, what
• 0:50
  Speaker 1: they bought, you know, where they traveled. To the Rob
• 0:53
  Speaker 1: Report it's just like a it's like a big boy
• 0:57
  Speaker 1: toy magazine. You can see what cars is out. And

  Speaker 1: I didn't have money for none of it. Just I
• 1:02
  Speaker 1: was dreaming, though, you know, I just wanted to see.

  Speaker 1: And there's a statue inside this magazine of this man
• 1:12
  Speaker 1: who was coming out of this bronze rock. And he
• 1:15
  Speaker 1: was completely bronze, and he was muscular, and you know,
• 1:20
  Speaker 1: he didn't look nothing like me, but he was a
• 1:22
  Speaker 1: man coming up out of a rock and he had
• 1:24
  Speaker 1: a huge hammer and a chisel in his hand, and
• 1:28
  Speaker 1: as his body from the waist up was coming out
• 1:30
  Speaker 1: of this huge piece of stone, you could see where
• 1:33
  Speaker 1: it was him who had been chiseling informing himself. So
• 1:37
  Speaker 1: the name of the statue was self made man. And
• 1:41
  Speaker 1: for years man, I said, Man, I'm gonna get a
• 1:43
  Speaker 1: big house one day, and I'm gonna put that statue
• 1:45
  Speaker 1: in the backyard in the corner. That's gonna be my
• 1:48
  Speaker 1: little spot where I go chill, because I'm a self
• 1:52
  Speaker 1: made man. Well, after years of working at becoming somebody
• 2:00
  Speaker 1: and having reached a degree of success, I would have
• 2:06
  Speaker 1: nothing to do with that statue. There's nothing about that
• 2:10
  Speaker 1: statue that appeals to me anymore. Because on my journey
• 2:14
  Speaker 1: and in my quest to become what I thought would
• 2:18
  Speaker 1: be this self made man, where I could put this
• 2:20
  Speaker 1: statue and had this statue in the corner be kind
• 2:23
  Speaker 1: of cold symbolizing it, I had made it. I realized
• 2:26
  Speaker 1: on my journey there's no such thing as a self
• 2:30
  Speaker 1: made man. That we all need help, and that God
• 2:34
  Speaker 1: places people in our paths along the way that benefit
• 2:40
  Speaker 1: us oftentimes, and it's the most unlikely person often times,
• 2:44
  Speaker 1: and it's the most unlikely way that he presents these
• 2:48
  Speaker 1: people in front of you. It's crazy how he does it. Man.
• 2:51
  Speaker 1: And so this is a statue now that I look
• 2:54
  Speaker 1: at and I go, I see what the creator was saying.
• 2:57
  Speaker 1: And that's cool, but not for me, because I needed help.

  Speaker 1: And I've learned a lot of things like this along
• 3:06
  Speaker 1: the way. And the part I wanted to share with
• 3:09
  Speaker 1: you all about this is you've got to develop You've
• 3:14
  Speaker 1: got to develop a sense of purpose. You have to
• 3:18
  Speaker 1: develop a sense of purpose. That's different. See, your purpose
• 3:25
  Speaker 1: is created for you by God. Because when He created
• 3:31
  Speaker 1: you as an individual from whatever two parents you may have,
• 3:34
  Speaker 1: that's not important here. When he created you, he had
• 3:39
  Speaker 1: something in mind for you, and it was a purpose.
• 3:43
  Speaker 1: God has not created a single soul to become a criminal.
• 3:48
  Speaker 1: God has never created a single soul to be a
• 3:50
  Speaker 1: drug dealer. This came about through some decisions we made
• 3:55
  Speaker 1: as sinners, and we stayed in that place. But see
• 4:00
  Speaker 1: what He created us. He has a wonderful idea for us.
• 4:05
  Speaker 1: But God gives us human beings this thing called choice,
• 4:08
  Speaker 1: and we have the power to decide. So you could
• 4:11
  Speaker 1: decide if you're going to adhere to the purpose that
• 4:14
  Speaker 1: God created you and made you for. Or you can
• 4:17
  Speaker 1: go ahead and make some choices on your own. So like,
• 4:21
  Speaker 1: if God wanted to give you a life and give
• 4:23
  Speaker 1: it to come to you and give you life more abundantly,
• 4:25
  Speaker 1: and that's his promise. If you come to him, if
• 4:28
  Speaker 1: you choose him, then cool. But if you say, well
• 4:32
  Speaker 1: this ain't moving along fast enough, I'm gonna get my
• 4:35
  Speaker 1: own life of abundance, I'm gonna start slinging. Well, guess
• 4:38
  Speaker 1: what now, Tada, You made a decision and seek God's
• 4:43
  Speaker 1: decisions and choices. The one thing I learned about them,
• 4:46
  Speaker 1: God's decisions, choices, his voice, it has no sin in it.
• 4:51
  Speaker 1: And it amazing how many people it came up to
• 4:52
  Speaker 1: you and said, the Lord wanted me to do this
• 4:55
  Speaker 1: to you, and I'm doing it. That God is punishing you,
• 4:57
  Speaker 1: and I'm doing this to you because God gon see
• 5:00
  Speaker 1: that you get your day. Who is this person? Who
• 5:04
  Speaker 1: is this person that God all of a sudden gave
• 5:07
  Speaker 1: this authority and power to God didn't get at the nobody, man, nobody.
• 5:11
  Speaker 1: This person only had the right to hold you to
• 5:14
  Speaker 1: your past, the right to make you pay. So who
• 5:18
  Speaker 1: makes them pay when they make mistakes because they all
• 5:21
  Speaker 1: make them. So when I say you have to have
• 5:24
  Speaker 1: a sense of you have to develop a strong sense
• 5:27
  Speaker 1: of purpose, that means you have to strongly get in
• 5:29
  Speaker 1: touch with your creator to find out what the purpose
• 5:32
  Speaker 1: you were created for. See, it's two things that I
• 5:36
  Speaker 1: had to learn along the way. My career was what
• 5:39
  Speaker 1: I was paid for. My calling is what I was
• 5:44
  Speaker 1: made for. See, it's two different things, folks. It took
• 5:48
  Speaker 1: me a long time to learn it. Some people think
• 5:51
  Speaker 1: that they calling is to be a performer. Well, that's
• 5:55
  Speaker 1: what you paid for, and a big part of your
• 5:58
  Speaker 1: life is your performance. It's time directly to your gift.

  Speaker 1: But what you made for, though, what you made for,
• 6:05
  Speaker 1: is to bring about some significant change in another human
• 6:09
  Speaker 1: beings lives because we are all linked together in this chain.

  Speaker 1: That's what you are here for. Everybody has a purpose
• 6:16
  Speaker 1: to do something wonderful, meaningful, or impactful for another person.

  Speaker 1: You think the God that invented the airplane was merely
• 6:26
  Speaker 1: inventing the airplane so he could fly. Now, his purpose
• 6:32
  Speaker 1: was to become an inventor, to come up with this
• 6:34
  Speaker 1: invention so he could fly and we all fly. See,
• 6:38
  Speaker 1: sometimes God will make you successful, so you can become successful,
• 6:42
  Speaker 1: so you can turn around to teach other people how
• 6:44
  Speaker 1: to become successful. God save people, so you can turn
• 6:48
  Speaker 1: around it tell other people how wonderful it is to
• 6:50
  Speaker 1: be saved. You see how this thing work. That's what
• 6:54
  Speaker 1: we have to do as people. And it's nothing that
• 6:57
  Speaker 1: we have to go and discover. We have to go
• 6:59
  Speaker 1: and develop. But if you haven't discovered your purpose, it's
• 7:02
  Speaker 1: simply because here's it. If you haven't discovered your purpose,
• 7:07
  Speaker 1: it's simply because you have not contacted the creator and
• 7:13
  Speaker 1: maker of your soul to ask and find out why
• 7:19
  Speaker 1: you were created. It's as simple as that. If you

  Speaker 1: buy a Toyota, there's an owner's manual on the inside
• 7:30
  Speaker 1: that will tell you everything you know, how to best
• 7:34
  Speaker 1: operate your toyota, how to make it work, how what
• 7:38
  Speaker 1: to do? They got a troubleshooting section. Your faith is
• 7:42
  Speaker 1: the same thing as an owner's manual in your car.

  Speaker 1: Open up that book, man, find out how to jumpstart
• 7:50
  Speaker 1: your life, how to troubleshoot it and get on with
• 7:53
  Speaker 1: your life and find out your purpose and develop a
• 7:56
