- 0:00Speaker 1: Good Morning Inspiration thirteen ninety favely, how y'all doing today?
- 0:03Speaker 1: It is Relationship Talk Thursday. The Power Couple is back
- 0:08Speaker 1: Pastors Javone and Pastor Erica Glenn of New Life Executive
- 0:12Speaker 1: pastors or over the Marriage Ministry.
- 0:14Speaker 2: And I found out that Lady Erica can sing, so
- 0:17Speaker 2: you never he might bust tart to notice something.
- 0:20Speaker 1: I don't know it.
- 0:23Speaker 2: But we're supposed to be talking about relationships. I'm sorry,
- 0:25Speaker 2: I'm sorry. Somebody just told me that.
- 0:28Speaker 1: All right, so we're talking about modern dating versus biblical courting.
- 0:32Speaker 1: I mentioned that it seems like things have changed, you know,
- 0:34Speaker 1: Folks are a little.
- 0:35Speaker 2: Bit more looser.
- 0:36Speaker 1: Yeah, and more looser, much looser, and uh, you know
- 0:40Speaker 1: in this particular area. So what is the difference and
- 0:43Speaker 1: where does sex fit in and all of this?
- 0:46Speaker 3: I mean, you know there is a difference. First of all,
- 0:49Speaker 3: I wasn't a dater. My wife was a dater. Then
- 0:52Speaker 3: she informed me dating is collecting.
- 0:55Speaker 2: Data, collected out, collected information.
- 0:57Speaker 3: But I think in my space and time, and I
- 1:00Speaker 3: was a youth pastor early on in ministry, I just
- 1:02Speaker 3: had to protect the casualness of going out with women, right.
- 1:06Speaker 4: I wanted to protect myself.
- 1:08Speaker 3: So I was very very no, I'm not dating, very
- 1:11Speaker 3: you know, consecrated, very separated, and just didn't want to
- 1:15Speaker 3: get caught up in any situations. Before I got saved.
- 1:19Speaker 3: In my teenage years, I was promiscuous. So coming out
- 1:22Speaker 3: of a promiscuous lifestyle to salvation, I was trying to
- 1:25Speaker 3: do it God's way. So in doing it God's way,
- 1:28Speaker 3: then I was practicing abstinence. So because I was coming
- 1:31Speaker 3: out of promiscuity into abstinence, and then dating would only
- 1:34Speaker 3: complicate that because I didn't know if I had the
- 1:37Speaker 3: discipline to manage dating without promiscurity when I was trying
- 1:41Speaker 3: to kill my flesh from having an appetite before I
- 1:45Speaker 3: was saved, and so therefore I just was like, you know,
- 1:48Speaker 3: I shut the whole thing down. Nothing, nobody, everybody untease
- 1:51Speaker 3: Grandma's I got a girl, I got a niece I
- 1:53Speaker 3: want you to meet.
- 1:53Speaker 4: I got a granddaughter. Thats one.
- 1:55Speaker 3: I was like, no, I'm not ready to marry yet,
- 1:57Speaker 3: so I'm not interested. I'm focused on God and focused
- 1:59Speaker 3: on minutes. That was my path. Whereas my wife was
- 2:02Speaker 3: a dater because you know, she had a little bit
- 2:04Speaker 3: more disciplined than me.
- 2:05Speaker 4: I don't know, but that wasn't me.
- 2:07Speaker 3: So until I was ready to what I say, pay
- 2:09Speaker 3: the bill or ready to follow up through marriage, and
- 2:12Speaker 3: I didn't even consider courting as an opportunity because at
- 2:16Speaker 3: that point I only wanted to be in a relationship
- 2:18Speaker 3: with somebody that I could potentially.
- 2:21Speaker 4: Marry, and I didn't want to waste my time.
- 2:23Speaker 3: And I think people would heal faster and waste less
- 2:27Speaker 3: time if they only, at least if we're going to date,
- 2:30Speaker 3: at least only entertain people who are potential marriage candidates
- 2:34Speaker 3: and not just let me just feel and see what's
- 2:37Speaker 3: out here and see what's going on. That's how people
- 2:39Speaker 3: get hurt. That's how they get in rhythms and routines
- 2:42Speaker 3: and patterns and brokenness and leave pieces of their self
- 2:45Speaker 3: all over the place and never really gather themselves back together.
- 2:49Speaker 3: So I potentially practice courting biblical cording with that knowledge
- 2:53Speaker 3: and information over casual dating because of my own convictions,
- 2:59Speaker 3: because it's right or wrong, not because it's a principle,
- 3:05Speaker 3: but because that's a preference. Now Biblically, in biblical days,
- 3:08Speaker 3: they do have preferences to that, I mean principles to
- 3:11Speaker 3: that that say you should not do such. But I
- 3:13Speaker 3: think that there's grace for people who trying to get
- 3:16Speaker 3: to know each other in that space. But that's just
- 3:18Speaker 3: not my that's not my approach from my own protection.
- 3:22Speaker 5: OK, I think that I think that dating isn't bad.
- 3:27Speaker 5: I think that it is a seasons of your life.
- 3:31Speaker 5: So as a teenager, I'm trying to find I won't
- 3:35Speaker 5: say I'm trying to find myself, but I was, but
- 3:41Speaker 5: I you know, in retrospect looking at it, I think
- 3:45Speaker 5: that you know, it is very it's dangerous. It is
- 3:49Speaker 5: it could be dangerous if you're not accountable to anybody,
- 3:52Speaker 5: if nobody is talking to you, talking to you about
- 3:54Speaker 5: who you're talking to, and all that other kind of stuff,
- 3:56Speaker 5: it could be it could take you down the road
- 3:58Speaker 5: that you don't want to go to. And then I
- 4:00Speaker 5: think in my twenties it was really dating to you know,
- 4:04Speaker 5: see if this is a person that I would want
- 4:06Speaker 5: to build my life with and unfortunately stay in relationships
- 4:11Speaker 5: longer than what I needed to afraid that I would
- 4:14Speaker 5: not find anybody. So you know, that's the detriments, right
- 4:19Speaker 5: a serial dater. And then I also feel that in dating,
- 4:23Speaker 5: quote unquote, in dating that when you add sex to
- 4:27Speaker 5: the formula of dating, it makes it complicated. You can't think,
- 4:31Speaker 5: you can't be sober, you can't make good decisions because
- 4:34Speaker 5: you you're talking about sex performance versus do they got
- 4:37Speaker 5: a job.
- 4:38Speaker 2: They you know, are they are a father?
- 4:41Speaker 4: You know?
- 4:41Speaker 5: Are they a man that you could actually see that's
- 4:44Speaker 5: gonna raise your children? And then you know the yeah,
- 4:47Speaker 5: how they put it on you and then they put
- 4:49Speaker 5: it on you and then now you got a baby,
- 4:50Speaker 5: and now you mad because he's not a great father.
- 4:53Speaker 5: Well you didn't think about that before you before you
- 4:55Speaker 5: lay with them. So it's those kinds of things, and
- 4:57Speaker 5: so you know, I just think that dating has its
- 5:01Speaker 5: place in this space is gathering data. But when you
- 5:04Speaker 5: put sex in there, it makes the date the data
- 5:08Speaker 5: to be conduluting in a sense because you can't see
- 5:12Speaker 5: the data anymore. You're you're too busy about the performance
- 5:16Speaker 5: and you have these ties exactly, and then you know
- 5:20Speaker 5: when you're courting, cording is with intentionality. With intentionality means
- 5:25Speaker 5: that you're like, Okay, I don't want to have sex
- 5:27Speaker 5: because I want to be able to know this is
- 5:30Speaker 5: a person that I can be with. And so when
- 5:32Speaker 5: you're dating and you don't have sex, you can move
- 5:34Speaker 5: in and out of relationships because you don't have any ties.
- 5:37Speaker 5: But when you're when you're dating and having sex, then
- 5:40Speaker 5: you looking at him like why you talking to somebody else,
- 5:42Speaker 5: which there is nothing wrong with him talking to somebody else.
- 5:45Speaker 2: Because he's not married.
- 5:47Speaker 5: But if y'all had sex, now you really are married.
- 5:53Speaker 2: So now you are.
- 5:54Speaker 5: Looking at him like, how you're gonna get another wife? Yeah,
- 5:58Speaker 5: and that's where everybody becomes your of your marriage.
- 6:02Speaker 3: Wow.
- 6:02Speaker 2: We got to hold that thought.
- 6:04Speaker 1: Yeah, because we want to talk about the role of
- 6:05Speaker 1: physical intimacy.
- 6:06Speaker 2: Yeah, that's good.
- 6:07Speaker 4: That's that's great.
- 6:10Speaker 1: We tap it in today right here on Inspiration thirteen
- 6:13Speaker 1: ninety Relationship Talk Thursday. We also welcome your questions and
- 6:16Speaker 1: your comments. Let's do it eight five, five, nine, nine, nine,
- 6:20Speaker 1: thirteen ninety metal modern dating versus biblical courting. What's the
- 6:25Speaker 1: difference and where does sex fit in? We do talk
- 6:28Speaker 1: about that on this gospel station.
- 6:32Speaker 2: Inspiration thirteen to ninety Music of Power and Praise.
- 6:36Speaker 1: It's Sonia Blakey here with the Power Couple, Pastors Damone
- 6:39Speaker 1: and Erica Glenn, and we're talking about modern dating versus
- 6:43Speaker 1: biblical courting. We're talking about sex, where does it fit
- 6:46Speaker 1: in in the whole picture? And you all said something interesting.
- 6:50Speaker 1: I had never heard it that way. Sex marries you,
- 6:53Speaker 1: and I will also talk about because I've also heard
- 6:56Speaker 1: over the years that having sex also enter into a
- 7:01Speaker 1: is it so, so maybe that kind of ties in.
- 7:04Speaker 1: But sex marries you, Yeah, yeah, I mean yeah, yeah,
- 7:07Speaker 1: it consummates your marriage.
- 7:09Speaker 3: That's why when you get married, you get you now
- 7:13Speaker 3: and you go home and you consummate your marriage, because
- 7:16Speaker 3: it's really official, official, not after the paper, not after
- 7:19Speaker 3: the ceremony, it's official official after you had sex. If
- 7:22Speaker 3: you're in the original context of it, if everybody was
- 7:26Speaker 3: functioning biblically the way it was designed and created to
- 7:29Speaker 3: function biblically, and people were actually versions having sex, right,
- 7:34Speaker 3: so when sex takes place, a hymen would be broken,
- 7:37Speaker 3: which is a blood covenant that would end up taking place. Right,
- 7:41Speaker 3: that blood covenant would happen, and that's the consummation, that's
- 7:45Speaker 3: God's marrige, that's the wedding ring, that's the marriage vow,
- 7:48Speaker 3: that's the relationship. Is when that blood covenant is taking
- 7:51Speaker 3: place between two individuals. If people were actually entering into
- 7:56Speaker 3: it in that proper biblical context. So I think that
- 8:00Speaker 3: society and culture have lessen the seriousness of what sex
- 8:05Speaker 3: is and what it does. But we should have never
- 8:07Speaker 3: learned from sex from anybody other than the creator of sex,
- 8:10Speaker 3: which is God. God created sex to be enjoyed in
- 8:13Speaker 3: the context of a relationship, in the context of a marriage,
- 8:17Speaker 3: because it is powerful, It creates soul ties, It will
- 8:20Speaker 3: get your head messed up, it will make you not
- 8:22Speaker 3: be able to think straight, it will cause you to
- 8:26Speaker 3: lower your barer, to compromise.
- 8:28Speaker 4: It does all types of.
- 8:29Speaker 3: Things, and so necessary in a marriage, right, And that's
- 8:33Speaker 3: why one of the first things to go in a
- 8:35Speaker 3: marriage when people are no longer intentional about building, when
- 8:41Speaker 3: trust is gone, when friendship is gone, when when all
- 8:46Speaker 3: the things dissipate, the first thing that goes is that sex,
- 8:49Speaker 3: that intimacy. Because the more sex you have, the more
- 8:51Speaker 3: one you become. The more sex you have, the more
- 8:54Speaker 3: intimate your union is, the more difficult it is to
- 8:57Speaker 3: be frustrated, the more difficult it is to be angry.
- 9:00Speaker 3: The more sex that you have, the more to become one.
- 9:03Speaker 3: That is the place where two becomes one. And so
- 9:06Speaker 3: we have a lot of people that are engaging in
- 9:09Speaker 3: a behavior that was meant. The Bible says, the marriage
- 9:11Speaker 3: bet is pure and undefiled. The Bible says that the
- 9:14Speaker 3: marriage bed is strong enough to hold and contain your
- 9:18Speaker 3: sexual appetite. Will God forgive you if you have sex
- 9:21Speaker 3: outside your marriage? Yes, of course he will.
- 9:24Speaker 4: But will there be consequences that's connected to it.
- 9:27Speaker 3: God does not save you from the consequences of the
- 9:30Speaker 3: soul tithe, the consequences of procreation, the consequences of procreation
- 9:35Speaker 3: with somebody that never you were supposed to never create with.
- 9:38Speaker 4: It's powerful.
- 9:39Speaker 3: God is trying to protect us when he says don't
- 9:43Speaker 3: have sex before marriage.
- 9:44Speaker 4: He's not trying to punish us. But people think about
- 9:47Speaker 4: it punishment, and.
- 9:48Speaker 3: So they never have an intentional, spiritual, intellectual idea about
- 9:55Speaker 3: this decision that they're about to engage in.
- 9:58Speaker 4: They just do so so random.
- 10:00Speaker 5: Yeah, and I mean, and you know, shameless plug. But
- 10:03Speaker 5: my husband wrote a book called g Rated Sex where
- 10:05Speaker 5: he preached a sermon for four weeks inside of a
- 10:10Speaker 5: bed and talked about it from God's perspective. So that
- 10:13Speaker 5: is definitely on his website, Jermome Glenn dot com. And
- 10:16Speaker 5: that's a book that you want to get especially if
- 10:18Speaker 5: you are unmarried, you are a single person, learn learn
- 10:22Speaker 5: about sex from God's perspective so that it's not taboo.
- 10:25Speaker 5: But in church we we get so weird about sex
- 10:30Speaker 5: and talking about it, and even in some marriage spaces
- 10:33Speaker 5: or whatever, people they get uncomfortable and and God created this.
- 10:38Speaker 2: Yeah, it's not worldly from God exactly.
- 10:42Speaker 5: And so like you stated earlier about sex, not only
- 10:48Speaker 5: do you marry somebody, So like if you're unmarried and
- 10:51Speaker 5: you've had sex with somebody that it was supposed to
- 10:54Speaker 5: be consummated, I mean that it was supposed to be
- 10:56Speaker 5: for marriage. So now you are married to a person
- 10:59Speaker 5: that you're not married to because you have a covenant
- 11:02Speaker 5: with them, and then now you have a soul tie
- 11:05Speaker 5: with them.
- 11:06Speaker 2: And a soul tie.
- 11:07Speaker 5: To me is like extremely, but a man like extremely.
- 11:13Speaker 5: It causes you not to be able to make good decisions.
- 11:16Speaker 5: It causes you to free not to see red flags
- 11:20Speaker 5: and turn them into green, you.
- 11:22Speaker 2: Know, just magically.
- 11:24Speaker 5: And I'm speaking as from a person who who who's
- 11:27Speaker 5: had to break the soul ties and heal from that
- 11:31Speaker 5: kind of stuff.
- 11:31Speaker 2: The person is gone and you still dealing.
- 11:34Speaker 5: With the fragments of them, of their soul inside of
- 11:38Speaker 5: you and making decisions and being in a relationship with
- 11:41Speaker 5: a person that's not even there, but you're still in
- 11:43Speaker 5: a relationship with them. And so another shameless plug, My
- 11:47Speaker 5: husband wrote a book called Soul Ties and it helps
- 11:50Speaker 5: you to go through yet helps you to go through
- 11:52Speaker 5: all of the processions sol sessions. I'm sorry for soul
- 11:55Speaker 5: sessions because he says that everything goes through your life,
- 11:59Speaker 5: but it goes through your soul, and your soul is
- 12:02Speaker 5: the last place that we try to heal and that
- 12:05Speaker 5: is the place that we really live out of is
- 12:08Speaker 5: from our soul. So yes, as an unmarried, unmarried single person,
- 12:13Speaker 5: sex is not a component that you need in your
- 12:16Speaker 5: relationship if you if you want to be married. It
- 12:19Speaker 5: complicates things, which it already is complicated, but it complicates
- 12:24Speaker 5: things and not and it makes you not be able
- 12:26Speaker 5: to take the data that you get in dating and
- 12:29Speaker 5: to make a good decision. Now it's all messed up
- 12:32Speaker 5: or confused and all this other kind of stuff. So
- 12:35Speaker 5: you know, you want to get in those spaces and
- 12:37Speaker 5: places and clear so that you can make a good
- 12:39Speaker 5: conscious decision of who you want to spend your life with.
- 12:41Speaker 2: There you in there you're in there right now.
- 12:43Speaker 3: And just for the people that's asking, because I could
- 12:45Speaker 3: feel it. Yes, we made a intentional decision not to sleep.
- 12:49Speaker 2: Yeah, we didn't sleep together before we got married.
- 12:51Speaker 1: Well, keep it there, because we want to talk about
- 12:53Speaker 1: setting strict boundaries now with each other. Yeah, of your questions,
- 13:01Speaker 1: great topic today eight five, five, nine, thirteen ninety.
- 13:07Speaker 2: Inspiration thirteen ninety families.
- 13:09Speaker 1: So glad that you are submitting your questions, so whether
- 13:13Speaker 1: we can get them answered here on Relationship Talk Thursday
- 13:16Speaker 1: with the Power Couple of the Glenn's pastors, Jamoon and
- 13:18Speaker 1: Erica Glenn. Shit, couples set strict boundaries? Now we should
- 13:23Speaker 1: which chill, still talking about sex and relationships?
- 13:26Speaker 2: So here we go.
- 13:26Speaker 1: Should couples set strict boundaries or go with the flow? Already?
- 13:34Speaker 1: But this is a question that came in.
- 13:36Speaker 4: I think it depends on the context, right.
- 13:38Speaker 3: So, if you're in marriage, I think you should go
- 13:41Speaker 3: with the flow and set strict boundaries, right So, and
- 13:44Speaker 3: if you're outside of marriage, I think you should set
- 13:47Speaker 3: strict boundaries and don't go with the flow.
- 13:49Speaker 4: I digress, But here's what I mean.
- 13:51Speaker 3: Inside of the context of marriage, we set strict boundaries
- 13:54Speaker 3: because we have small children, they had to go to
- 13:56Speaker 3: bed at a certain time because they like to come
- 13:58Speaker 3: crawl on your beds, deep in your bed with you.
- 14:01Speaker 3: It's very difficult to be intimate with your spouse if
- 14:03Speaker 3: your kid is laying between you. Right, it's difficult to
- 14:06Speaker 3: be intimate with your spouse when your children go to
- 14:08Speaker 3: bed at the same time you do. Right, your house
- 14:11Speaker 3: don't shut down at no time. They uplate as you day,
- 14:14Speaker 3: up early as you when you're gonna have intimate time.
- 14:16Speaker 3: So a lot of couples aren't being intimate, not because
- 14:19Speaker 3: it's intentional, it's because they haven't set intentional boundaries to
- 14:23Speaker 3: create time and space for sex and intimacy. How often
- 14:28Speaker 3: do we have sex? How frequent would you like to
- 14:30Speaker 3: have it? Is there time that the house shut down?
- 14:33Speaker 3: Do we stop answering the phone, playing on our phone,
- 14:35Speaker 3: bringing electronics in our room, letting people just drop over
- 14:38Speaker 3: and stay over too long? Need to be strict boundaries
- 14:41Speaker 3: to protect your eating and get married. Your houses are eating?
- 14:44Speaker 3: Can you run around naked in your room in a house?
- 14:48Speaker 3: Is there a space in your house that's consecrated for
- 14:51Speaker 3: your self that you're free in that people don't just
- 14:55Speaker 3: bust in and walk in and whatever. Strict boundaries and
- 14:58Speaker 3: go with the flow and let it happen on the
- 15:00Speaker 3: other side.
- 15:00Speaker 5: And in regards to uh, single people, yeah so single yeah,
- 15:05Speaker 5: single right, what we did single people, you have to
- 15:08Speaker 5: have strict boundaries, like and it has to be it
- 15:11Speaker 5: has to be almost handwritten or inside of your phone
- 15:13Speaker 5: so that you don't forget what.
- 15:16Speaker 2: Your boundaries are.
- 15:17Speaker 5: But one of the boundaries that we set with each
- 15:19Speaker 5: other is that we spent a lot of time with
- 15:23Speaker 5: the old people, my grandparents. We were in their presence.
- 15:26Speaker 5: We set on the couch, the yeah, at their house.
- 15:29Speaker 5: They would go to bed, and it was like, oh, okay,
- 15:32Speaker 5: well we got about thirty more minutes and then we
- 15:33Speaker 5: need to be you need to go home, and I
- 15:35Speaker 5: need to go get in the base the license.
- 15:38Speaker 2: Yeah, because I was.
- 15:39Speaker 5: Just like she just caught just called it called your
- 15:42Speaker 5: little minister friend and we just go get mad on
- 15:44Speaker 5: the on the on the fireplace. But anyway, and then also,
- 15:48Speaker 5: you know, as an unmarried person, you have to set
- 15:51Speaker 5: strict boundaries in conversation, like I know, you know, oh
- 15:54Speaker 5: you hang up, I'll hang up, you hang up the
- 15:56Speaker 5: whole thing. Three o'clock in the morning, you might need
- 15:59Speaker 5: to shut that down earlier, earlier, because right and watch
- 16:03Speaker 5: what you talk about, and watch what you pray about,
- 16:06Speaker 5: and all that, you know, all that stuff that's causing
- 16:08Speaker 5: you to be connected. You got to have strict boundaries
- 16:11Speaker 5: because if you're acting married and you're not married, then
- 16:14Speaker 5: it gets confusing and then now you're trying to figure
- 16:17Speaker 5: out what is it really that we're doing here, And
- 16:20Speaker 5: then a person has an expectation and they can get
- 16:22Speaker 5: hurt because of their expectation. So as an unmarried person,
- 16:26Speaker 5: especially as a female, honey shit, you gotta put some
- 16:29Speaker 5: boundaries because you got to make him feel that he
- 16:32Speaker 5: needs you in his life.
- 16:34Speaker 2: And if you make yourself.
- 16:35Speaker 5: Extremely accessible and extremely available, he has no reason to
- 16:40Speaker 5: come any closer. He has no reason to make a
- 16:42Speaker 5: decision because you, like my grandmama said, you ain't seven
- 16:46Speaker 5: to eleven when seven eleven was open twenty four hours.
- 16:49Speaker 5: I know, we got we got all kinds of stories
- 16:51Speaker 5: open twenty four hours. But my grandmama said, don't be
- 16:53Speaker 5: seven eleven. Don't be no birthday cake. Everybody can get
- 16:56Speaker 5: a piece of it, like all of that kind of stuff.
- 16:57Speaker 5: Don't let the Lord catch you with your draws down.
- 16:59Speaker 5: That's kind of boundaries that she was setting for me.
- 17:02Speaker 5: But as an unmarried woman, you have to set boundaries
- 17:05Speaker 5: for yourself. It's a protection and a man and a man,
- 17:09Speaker 5: yeah yeah.
- 17:10Speaker 3: And it's important that you create healthy boundaries to protect yourself.
- 17:14Speaker 3: There will be a time when you can talk about
- 17:16Speaker 3: the things you need to talk about and the curiosity
- 17:19Speaker 3: you need to have, and trust me, everything work and
- 17:21Speaker 3: will be working. You won't always got to test it
- 17:23Speaker 3: out before, but but protect the time when you engage
- 17:26Speaker 3: in certain levels of conversation because there might be moments
- 17:29Speaker 3: that you wish you could take.
- 17:33Speaker 5: As an unmarried woman, you have to set boundaries for yourself.
- 17:36Speaker 5: It's a protection and a man and a man, yeah yeah.
- 17:42Speaker 3: And it's important that you create healthy boundaries to protect yourself.
- 17:45Speaker 3: There will be a time when you can talk about
- 17:47Speaker 3: the things you need to talk about and the curiosity
- 17:50Speaker 3: you need to have, and trust me, everything work and
- 17:53Speaker 3: will be working. You won't always got to test it
- 17:54Speaker 3: out before, but but protect the time when you engage
- 17:58Speaker 3: in certain levels of conversation because that might be moments
- 18:01Speaker 3: that you wish you could take back.
- 18:02Speaker 5: And we haven't even had the question that somebody asked,
- 18:04Speaker 5: you know, like, if we have already over if we've
- 18:07Speaker 5: overstepped the boundaries, can you can you pull it back?
- 18:11Speaker 5: And it's like, yes, you can pull it back, but
- 18:13Speaker 5: that's a conversation that you have with each other because
- 18:16Speaker 5: you've already crossed those boundaries.
- 18:18Speaker 2: So you can't just be like, nope, you got to
- 18:20Speaker 2: have a conversation because you said yes, like that, but
- 18:24Speaker 2: you should conversation.
- 18:26Speaker 5: You do have to have a conversation, and that will
- 18:29Speaker 5: show you where they are in regards to their mindset
- 18:32Speaker 5: about you, if they get upset about your boundary or
- 18:35Speaker 5: if they're like, okay, yeah, that might be something I
- 18:37Speaker 5: can work with.
- 18:38Speaker 2: But that's another space of conversation.
- 18:40Speaker 3: Because somebody that's only pressuring you to have sex might
- 18:43Speaker 3: be hiding the rest.
- 18:46Speaker 2: What about the whole thing of shocking?
- 18:47Speaker 3: Shocking in my I mean, you know, in my opinion,
- 18:50Speaker 3: I just think you you're what you always say, you
- 18:53Speaker 3: are practicing something that you don't have a grace. Yeah,
- 18:56Speaker 3: you know, so you got married folks problems without married folks, promise.
- 19:00Speaker 2: Or grace or annointing.
- 19:02Speaker 3: No grace, no annointing, you trying it. You consolidate this
- 19:06Speaker 3: all of reasons. We practicing money blah blah blah. Yes,
- 19:09Speaker 3: I understand that, but if you can't afford it, then
- 19:12Speaker 3: if you can't afford it outside, what's making you afford
- 19:15Speaker 3: it inside? People do it and then they have these
- 19:18Speaker 3: prolonged five year, ten year engagements. It never really happened.
- 19:22Speaker 3: All the frustrations that you get with being married that
- 19:25Speaker 3: you don't get the grace to accomplish. So, yeah, people
- 19:27Speaker 3: can intellectualize it, but you know, when you finish intellectualizing it,
- 19:32Speaker 3: you got your same piece properties, name on properties, You
- 19:36Speaker 3: own stuff that you ain't even married to. If somebody die,
- 19:39Speaker 3: somebody get into an accident, they can't call you, you
- 19:41Speaker 3: can't make no decisions in the hospital room. You're gonna
- 19:44Speaker 3: lose everything. Then you totally invest it because your name
