- Liam: What's up? Welcome to the Fourth and T podcast presented by me, Liam, and my fellow host, Jamie. How you doing, mate? Jamie: We're both not doing great, are we? Liam: Full struggle city. Jamie: We're both a bit ill, but we're striving. Got through week two, basically almost done part of Monday Night Football tonight. But yeah, we've been on holidays, we've come back. We're now both at home and we're both ill. Liam: I think we covered it earlier, slightly like, you know what? We're a bit like week two, right? Spoiler alert. It's all changed. We're all at home. We're all in different environments. We're all in different health conditions. Everything has changed one week from the other. I think we went we we were on the Costa del Sol, Costa del holiday, and now we're in Costa dellness. So we're struggling. We're gonna try and cut out any of the sniffling any of that nonsense and get on with it. Apart from that though, Jamie, enjoy week two. Jamie: I loved it. Obviously the red zone was a will cover it. It was a strange red zone. Lots of weird games that just I think clunky is probably the best way I can describe it apart from the smooth, sexy looking Panthers. But we'll get on to my boys. We'll get on to my boys in a bit. yeah, we had you for a week to as a as Bucks and Seals torn one good one, not so good. Liam: Ooh. One good, one not too good. One very horrific. Jamie: What horrific. Liam: I think for me, you love the chaos more than me. So I'm a bit like, what happened? Pause everyone. What happened? You've played a week. How can you all change? How can it be this different? So for me, this chaos is not as well as welcomed as it is for you. Like, I don't know what the teams are. I've heard a lot of people saying. You've got to wait to week four, but I would like some level of consistency. I think the only level of consistency we got was the Bills. Pretty much the Bills. Jamie: Seahawks, mean, you got your Liam: So yeah. Jamie: two teams that you probably I mean, we both said I think they're both in our top three to like get to the Super Bowl. Basically, Bill Seahawks is like they both showed straight away like I mean, lines look poor Jarragoth, but the the lines look lost. And then the Bills just powerhouse storming at Josh out in the front. And then obviously you've got Drew Lock locked in with JSN looks unstoppable again. So two very good teams. Liam: That's it. That I mean, yeah, we called it, you're right. And I I'd forgotten about that actually. So great callback from you. So without further ado, we're gonna cover the segments again. We're a new podcast. Like and subscribe, Forth and T. We're on YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, Apple Music, The Works. So this is our landmark review show. We do this on a Monday before Monday Night Football and then we put it out on a Tuesday. We're doing quick intros and news. We then do a review of all of the weekend's games and Thursday night football. We then go into when they start next week, our wild take of the week and w and whether it came true or not starting next week. We then jump into a review of all Our fantasy picks, who we want to pick up that week. We then go into our winner and loser of the week. And then we close up the pod for another episode. So that said, Jamie. Let's get into it. So, first game Thursday night football. Lions at the Bills. What can I say? Not lot. I think the Lions might have got off to a bit of an unlucky start. I think the Saints are looking pluckier, like we mentioned, than we could have imagined, especially after this week's result. They're one of the most solid teams in the league, potentially, and they're tough. Okay. The Bills Blender had their way with the Lions. The Lions had no chance. Looking at what Josh Allen can do, opening up High Mark Stadium, like. The most look look at that guy. Over the last five years, the most consistent MVP candidate there has been. How are you gonna go up to Buffalo, Bill's Mafia, not open up that stadium with a bang? And that's exactly what they did. They're screw scoring, they're running, they're passing, like their defense is looking lively. Maybe not well beaten, but it has moments. I I'm look I'm loving everything from it at the minute. And I think that's a very quick summary for what was just a very exciting game. And I think the Lions are going to come out of this thinking we can score on teams like that. We just need to step up on defence, which is clearly where they're struggling. They're struggling on the back end. But Jamie, what's your take on the game? Jamie: Exactly the same as I mean Jared Goff looked like he's running for his life a few times as well but again they went away to Bills scored a good amount of points, but When Josh Allen is performing at that level it's impossible to stop him So I mean the best defense is my struggle That's sort of why I want to see a Bills Seahawks Super Bowl just so I can see the best defense against probably the best as you said MVP candidate for the past four or five years like consistency wise so Yeah, a good game, but the Bills just look the real deal, although we're weak too, so I'm not going to get too over the top on them, but they're on their way. Liam: They're on their way. I think we both called this as well. So, like, not unexpected. James Cook, rushing leader from last year, looking great. Dalton Kincaid, looking fantastic. Obviously, DJ Morse took a ding because that looked great in the first week, and I thought I going to build. That's going to be a little bit concerning, but obviously other people stepped up. Like, I'm not too worried. Like, Kincaid is looking like an absolute machine. So I think. Not too many worries from the Bills at the minute. And obviously DJ Moore's gonna come back. Jared Goff again. Jameer Gibbs. Okay. I think you know what's coming is the problem now with the Lions. And I'm Rosane Brown, like really decent. I think I need Jameson Williams to step up. We need something of those those two guys to step up, especially with the defense not being a hundred percent. So yeah. Anything else to say on that game? yes, sorry. And the score was 41-31 to the home team. Bills, welcome to your new home at High Mark Stadium. Awesome. So, next game. We've got Panthers at Falcons, Jamie: Okay, my pleasure. I said it in the preview show, Bryce Young owns the Falcons. He's won five out of the last six meetings now. 34 to three against the Atlanta Falcons. Panthers from start to finish. It's so weird seeing the Panthers score points. And it's the first time we've scored over 30 points in back to back games open season ever, which is a a nice start. But yeah, Bryce Young, I mean, there's only the top two passing quarterbacks. We'll on the Saints as well. Tyler Schott and Bryce Young are the top two passing yards to start the NFL season. Give the South some respect. Liam: NFC South, Jamie. We we keep telling everyone to watch out. Jamie: We might have all gone 0-1 last week, two of us are back and we look good. yeah, Darren Waller, two touchdowns. Tuddy's, what a guy. Bryce Young, 287 yards, three touchdown passes. Looks comfortable in the pocket. We finally, we've got a franchise guy. in his, obviously we picked up his fifth year option. He's playing for a contract. He looks on it. Looks like he's playing for one, but my God, the Falcons are trash. Kevin Stefanski has taken everything that the Browns are in terms of how much, how bad they were. And he's brought it to Atlanta Falcons and I couldn't be happier. Sensational thank you Kevin Stavanski because my goodness I mean Cooper first play fumble. How many turnovers do we need? know Panthers we got hit on 59 last week We now lead the NFL in defensive turnovers and we were now in week two of the season unbelievable Liam: Wild wild turn of events. I have to agree, Jamie: You Liam: Falcons, they might Jamie: Wow. Liam: be they the Falcons might be the worst team in the league. Spoiler alert. And that pains me because I love Bijan. Mr. Dijon Mustard himself. I love Kyle Pitts. I love the pot. I mean, we all love potential, but that's some serious potential. I love Drake London, but The defense is sometimes, I don't even know what's going on. To be fair, they're playing their third string and fourth string quarterback. What team is going down to their fourth string quarterback? And I'm thinking they're playing well. That might be the only salvaging factor for this. I think fair play to Jack Strand. He played really well in preseason, one of the stories of preseason. He comes on because Cooper Rush is getting booed so much. Then On his second play of his actual NFL career, he throws a pick six. And my heart broke a little. I wanted to just see him do a little bit of something. Jamie: I thought for some reason, it was just, it was just, I mean, it the of the third quarter and Panthers basically stopped on offense. And it was just like, you'll get some bonus yards. You'll get some confidence might then take it into week three and start that cover. What will I receive? I mean, he sort of tipped out for Devin Lloyd and then obviously Lloyd's brought it back to the house. But, but yeah, I mean, we did big him up during the preseason as well. Cause he looked good that strands, but. Yeah, I feel bit sorry for him, but shout out Devin Lloyd, right? He's become another nice little fact. Become the first ever linebacker in NFL history to record nine tackles, one sack, two exceptions, one return for a touchdown in a single game since records began in 1989. There you go. Liam: Doesn't sound like a made-up stat at all. So yeah. Cue the cat noise. However. Jamie: I didn't say it. It was in the, you know, they do like a locker room victory speech. So I took the Dave Liam: Yes. Jamie: Canales said it. So I've copied and pasted it. We said on here. What a guy. Liam: Gorgeous Dave. Yep. Jamie: wait, what? We've got the best looking head coach in the league, by the way. Liam: Look, no comment here. No argument either, but no comment. also I'd just say, I mean, just to cap it off, not a lot to learn for the Panthers, though. You know, I think you came up against what might be a berserker team, can smash it one week and then fall off a cliff the next week, which we saw with the Bears. And then you might be playing the worst team in the league, the Falcons, potentially. You come away with a 34 to 3 win. Well done, the Panthers. Let's see how we go next week. Okay. On to the next one. The Browns at the Buccaneers. I mean, what can we say about this one? The the Browns and their books kicked off in the early schedule, 6 pm kickoff UK time, one o'clock on the East Coast. Believe it's East Coast. I've never thought about that before. Thank you. So, Jamie: That's correct. Yeah. Liam: I mean, we get to about two the n Just before the two minute one, I believe, and then end up with a two and a quarter hour rain lightning delay. whatever, we'll ignore that bit. Actually, we know we'll jump back to that very quickly. But I mean, atrocious to be honest. I mean, Baker's turning the ball over again. the defense is average, it's all right. you can't just have a middling defense and a turnover attack or a not explosive attack. Like, we're targeting K Dot and Way too much the books are. Like, we've got Eggbuca. We've got some really exciting explosive weapons. Just to run it with Bookie, throw it to Eggbuca. Like Carson Wentz is just getting success with like Justin Jefferson. Not saying he's quite there, but like these are the kind of things we need to do. We're f I feel like we're forcing it to Chris Godwin. Kenneth Gaymore's looking okay. Really great one two with Bookie. probably better than Rashad White was. So yeah. The Browns, not terrible. Didn't really make too many mistakes. Denzel Boston and look, some of these young weapons and things coming through, like we said, they was putting pressure on Baker. They got a turnover, a couple of turnovers, I think. and it looked it looked okay. It was DeShaun's best game, probably for the Browns. I mean, I'm just gutted that Baker didn't get to retire Deshaun going back home to Cleveland, so Shador Sanders could start. I left this deflated. I didn't even want to watch the game. I mean, pfft I've come away from experience. I I don't think that the Browns are good, but I I think that the Bucks might be bad. Which I just I've really had so much hope for them going to the season. But there we go. What are you saying, Jamie? Jamie: I loved every second of it. Liam: Ha ha ha Jamie: Yeah, I mean, it's one of those. I don't know. I thought the Browns were the worst team we had in the NFL by a mile. Jared Vurst was being held off the field for quite a few plays as well, which I thought was quite bizarre. I thought he was like their key piece, but what's his name? Sweshinger? Sweshinger? Yeah. Flying. Liam: Yeah, the rookie they drafted last year, second year pro. Jamie: He was flying around. He looked really good on defense. yeah, don't really know where the bucks go. mean, a lot of the comments are top bowels out. I think it's probably a bit too early. Keep him there for a few more games. Let him lose more. Then get rid of him when the season's properly over. Liam: For me, I think forget about the Browns because we don't know until they change to win a quarterback and like, you know, fair play. Todd Monkin, first win as a head coach and then the fell. That's exciting. The Browns will see what they become. They're not good, but they they they can't this can't be the thing. I'm interested to see how Deshaun gets received at home next week after dissing his own fans and he's being a bit of a he's a bit of a crybaby about everything he's done and trying to say he's like whatever. not getting into it, like I said. Baker needs an offensive coach now. Todd has obviously lost a bit of his magic. I've loved everything that Todd Bowles has done. He's probably a great defensive coach. And I don't know, they've brought over Zach Robinson from the Falcons. Was that that inventive? I mean, look, they had Dave Canales, they had Liam Cohen, every year, all of these different Tampa offensive coaches are going again head coaching jobs, and they're looking good. There's a reason for that and it makes Baker look good. And now, if we're not got that, have we got it? So yeah. Anyway, so yeah, twenty three, nineteen to the Browns. On to the next one. So Jamie, you're up with Vikings at the Bears. What a game. Jamie: Wow, the greatest offense ever. They want to be the greatest offense ever. They've now combined for less points and the Pampers have now gone after two weeks. Bears lose at home at Soldier Field in pouring rain three to nine. Not many kickers get shout outs winning games, but because it lacks that much quality outside of Justin Jefferson. Will Ryckard, three for three, longest 49 yards in that pouring rain. fantastic, think in that, in those conditions. But the main talking point, my goodness. Okay. Williams. I thought he popped his ACL. It won it. Yeah. Liam: The j met the group chat was going off. Achilles, ACL, PCL, amputation, peg leg, the next, Jamie: the works. Liam: you know, Captain Hook, but with his leg. He was in the I've never I have never seen someone being carried limp so hard. And then with it within an hour Jamie: He was in bit, he was gone. When he, when, yeah. Liam: of the game ending, it's the most minimal hamstring injury possible. Jamie: Nothing. He could be available in week three. do know what? Because you could, on the broadcast, you can hear him screaming under his towel, crying. And then you think like, he's done for the season. He's finished. Like, he's definitely done something. Like, was he crying just because he lost the game? Like, was he crying because he's let his team down? Was he crying because he thought the injury was worse? Maybe he's never been injured before. I mean, I've got a dodgy knee and you've got bits as well, but like... Mate, we know what... Liam: My my hey, let's not get into a knee off because I tell you this this knee of mine is pretty dodgy, okay? Jamie: But maybe we know what injuries are like. So when we get injured at our very young age, maybe we know what injuries are like. Liam: To quote our very young age, yes, still older than Caleb Williams. Jamie: Obviously I wasn't gonna point it out that badly but yeah about 10 years but like but then maybe it's the first injuries ever had Is it I thought okay fine if it's hamstring, maybe it's like a grade one tear because he was in that much pain like it does hurt but then It could be fine But really outside of that the bears suck what what happened last week everything You know, one of those games where everything possibly could go right on offense. Everything clicked. Everything worked last week. Obviously he had to pamphlet. He scored 59. You go in, yes, rain affected, but you find ways to win. you're a good, if you're a top team challenging, you know, for the MVP of K Williams, for the Superbowl, for the Bears or at least the NFC North title, you win those games. You have to win those games at home. You grind it out. But the Vikings found a way. They found a way to grind it out through field girls. And Carson Wentz, like you said, he just keeps going to Justin Jefferson. know my right, if I put it near him, he's going to catch the ball. Liam: What's butter in my bread? It's not P B and J, it's just JJ. Okay. JJ's Jamie: It's just change. Liam: butter in my bread. I think, you know, Aaron Aaron Jones looking okay. Running back, you know. Jamie: Yeah, solid, very solid. Liam: And I think, you know what, the Vikings at the minute they know what they are. They're in a bit of a, you same as the Seahawks, in a bit of quarterback, you know, quandary. Like this is meant to be Kyler Murray, realistically. Jamie: Well, Johnson, here you go. Are you ready? Nine minutes ago. Breaking news. Liam: Breaking news! Come on! Jamie, breaking news! Tell me! Sorry for the shouting. Jamie: Here we go, Kyle Murray has cleared concussion protocol and is set to start in week three against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Liam: the bottom of the barrel books. Let's see how that goes. I wanna just Jamie: Yep. Liam: end I wanna just end this game on a nice note. So they were nine three, the Vikings did. And shout out to Bli Blyon, Brian Flores, and the Vikings D, because what is it? I've got my little notes here. Sorry, actually they're they're very big notes, but just shy of an eighty percent blitz rate. On Caleb Williams before he went out. And let's be clear, like Caleb Williams was in the game for most of that game. And they frustrated him. They put him in positions that he didn't want to be in. It's like, yes, you are amazing, but some of these passes, like the pass that got intercepted, you shouldn't make that pass. Even if you're good enough to make it work, it's the kind of pass that gets picked, and that's the position that you put him into. Shout out to the Vikings defense. Shout out to Brian Flores. Jamie: I did see a comment as well as saying, if Caleb Williams finished, like played the whole entire game, the Bears win. He played 98 % of the game and they were losing. So like, Liam: Yeah. Yeah. Jamie: what's to say the other 2 % they win the game probably don't. but brilliant. Yeah. Liam: Shout out Vikings. We considered them for our top 10. So yeah. Cool. On to the next one. So I've got Eagles at Titans. This was what I called my dead rubber game. I thought it was going to be a bit of a nothing. The Titans are absolutely owned by the Jets last week. The Eagles are a good defense with a functioning offense. And I don't think that even changed after today. I think. F I really thought the Titans are gonna do it. To be clear, the Eagles ended up winning with a a fo is a just show under a two-minute drive to win 24 to 20 against the Titans. And for me, it just came down to experience and clutch plays. The Eagles know what they are, they can be a big time team and they've played in big time matches, so they can draw on that experience. Like when they need something the most. They can draw on it. Saquon Barkley's out. Tank Bigsby really stepped up in the running game and actually probably looked the best rusher they've got so far this season. Apart from Jalen Hurts, he looks quite good as well, obviously. Devonta Smith, though, I think we can. I think he's passed the test after two weeks. He's already making loads of clutch passes. He's definitely stepped into that wide receiver one role, which they were hoping for. So I don't think my opinion of the Eagles is changing. Well done on the win. Probably want to make it more comfortable against Tennessee, but you still came away with the result. Tennessee, though, very promising after last week. And week two has made me think the Jets might be okay, which probably not good for their future prospects on quarterbacks in the draft. However, Tennessee, they've stepped up. They were solid on defense and defensive fronts there. They haven't got that much on the defensive back end, like you can pass on them. Offense. They stepped up and looked okay. Rushing game okay. Receivers stepping up, and that was just very a way more professional performance against a good Eagles team. So not lows to say, you know, the rushing game's getting there, but it's not special. Can Ward's getting there, two rushing touchdowns, was it Jamie? Putting you on the spot there, it's my game. But Jamie: I don't Liam: but yeah, but it's nice and promising. I think Godwin injured as well. That there's a big name last week, which might have affected the gameplay for the Eagles this week. I think I'm gonna define this game as Titans, welcome back to being an NFL team. Eagles successful mediocrity continues. Jamie: successful media, don't say damn. Yeah, Camel, Liam: Thank you. Jamie: so four carry seven yards and two touchdowns rushing. But I must say Camel probably has the worst How Mary attempts maybe in the history of I Liam: that was bad, yeah. Jamie: mean, I think, I think we could probably both throw it further. Liam: Think. Jamie: of 15 yards. mean, I don't know what I mean, the time's expiring. You have to get to the end zone. He made it 15, 20 yards max when after the ball bounced as well. mean, wow. Dreadful. A weird stat. Eagles first win against the Titans in 35 years in Tennessee. Do know how weird that is? Yeah. Liam: I hate that you brought this up, Jamie. I was gonna I was gonna ignore it and then I think I was gonna bring it up and I thought I'm gonna I'm gonna I'm gonna terrorise that stat if I can. Yeah, but Jamie: It's such a weird stat. Liam: they play each other like once every four years, guaranteed, and it might not it might not have been in Tennessee, so it might have been Jamie: Yeah. Guaranteed of, yeah. Yeah, well. Liam: eight years ago since I've even played there. Jamie: So last time they won against the Titans, they were actually called the Hoos and Oilers. So there you go. So technically, not even Tennessee Titans. So pointless stat, but they did mention Liam: So they're not the the the Jamie: it and I thought, interesting. Liam: Okay, I'm gonna say not much else to say about that one. Jalen Hurts Klutz. Klutz. Jalen Hurts klutch. So yeah, Jamie, next game. Saints the fourth and teapods Ravens. Jamie: What happened to our Baltimore Ravens for this season? Where do I even start? They were looking good again. So Saints, Saints fall behind to, I think it was a two score, two score deficit. You think, okay, Ravens would just keep pounding it. Derek Henry looked like he's not like weak one, the self. The Mark Jackson played all right. Apart from that pass right at the end, he's obviously searching for it, but he was so... poor to be accepted. then you know what? Shucks. All right. You know, I did think this law and the last season he was getting there. think, okay, he's getting there. 27 to 34, 252 yards and a touchdown. And then that lap play to win it fourth down, you're pushing your team over the line. You're thinking I'm going to carry some on my shoulders. I'm not going to give it to ETN or a channel, wherever he wants to be called this season. But like he goes, he goes, what on the franchise QB, I'm going to run it myself and he gets it and they go to the Ravens and the New Orleans Saints get it done. Big up the NFC South. Love it. Liam: Big up the NFC Big up the NFC Sour. So I found myself when we were on the you know, you got the quad box and red zone. I was drawn to this game. It felt good. And I think Jamie: good. Liam: maybe this was just the Saints coming together. Because I don't know if the I don't think the Ravens bad. Jamie: I don't either, I think they're up there. Liam: I think they're up there. And I think the Saints showed they had some metal about them at at Detroit. And now that I think they're now just showing that they're a rough and they're a rough and tumble team. Like simply put, I think Shook's looking good. But I'm not I'm not I think if you're the s you're the Ravens, you'll you're disappointed in yourself. I think you're saying We've got to close that game out if we're a championship team. You don't think like you're not gonna go into a game with the Bills. And maybe you're not gonna go into a I don't know if you're gonna go away to a Kansas. Away. Are you gonna even go away to the Broncos like some of these good home advantage and think we've got like, you know, we're favorites. I don't I think that's what this is saying to me about the Ravens, unfortunately. But still love Lamar, love King Derrick, so I don't know. I Again, I was drawn to this game. A lot of cool things. Vele, reference to the last one. Velle looking Jamie: Well, hey, yes. Liam: good. Alave looking good. Like you say, Travis A.M. punching it in. So all good things from me. I just think Saints might be the upset team of the year. Like, you want a piece of it in fantasy. You want to watch it on a Sunday. Saints, they could be the last year's. Is it the last year's? Yeah. I'm not going to say the last year's Patriots. But like, Surprise package, yes. Jamie: Yeah, definitely a surprise package. the rate, I mean, I'll see a fourth team this season, Ravens, three points scored in the second half at home against New Orleans Saints. That is bad. That is bad. And I'm sort of after watching the Saints last two weeks, probably should have should have beat the Lions, could have easily just tied it and been one, I would have won at start of the season if they really wanted it. They're gonna push the Panthers all the way, or the NSC South as well. Liam: Looking mate, to be honest, at the minute, they're the only people that have come they're the only team that have come up against two good teams and look good from the NFC South. So Jamie: Yeah, looks solid. Liam: yeah, they look solid. So they're probably the favourites at the minute, but I've not looked at the I've not looked at the bookies. So yeah. Well done, Saints. Unlucky Ravens. So on to the next game. Steelers at the New England Patriots. Score finishing twenty. Three to the Steelers, twenty to the New England Patriots. Talking about games I was drawn to in the Steelers. Sorry, in the Saints at the Ravens, this is a game that I was detracted from. I was withdrawing away from this. This was quite terrible. I just think that the Pats were just too much to overcome for this iteration of the Steelers. I mean, Ramondre Stevenson. Is the second best rusher on team for the Patriots in this game. He's got more than any Steelers running back. Where has the Steelers running game gone? That's two weeks now Absent. And I think no excuse against the Falcons, to be quite honest. Steelers haven't got a running game. They also didn't really have much of a passing game. I think the problem is Pittman out injured, which means that Gonzalez could Christian Gonzalez, superstar player. He is the guy that really restricted JSN in the Super Bowl last year with some amazing plays. So he decided to shut down DK Metcalf. So you've got no DK Metcalf really not producing. Pittman's out of the game. So what's going on for the Steelers? So I think without that, the Steelers haven't got enough to overcome a squad like the Patriots. That being said. Drake May at the minute is the fan. I think excluding injuries, I think Drake May might be the fantasy disappointment of the season so far. I hate to say that. I love Drake May, but he was going he was going above Lamar Jackson in some cases. He's going second, you know, second, definitely third. And I think your, you know, your team is I've got him in a league. I'm struggling a bit because of Drake May. So You know, at the minute, the Pat squad is overcoming Drake May not running that well. And again, intercepting the ball. So I think Baker Mayfield and Drake May need to drop whatever trainer they're sharing and start turning over the ball. So yeah. Any thoughts, Jamie? Jamie: No, I'm glad you said it was the game you didn't want to watch. So Saints is probably the biggest surprise package. I think the Steelers might be the biggest surprise package because I think they're bad. They're a bad, bad team. O-Lion, if you don't protect Aaron Rodgers, what chance has he got in the pocket? know, he can't move much. He's 65 years old. I love him. I love A-Rod, right? But you need to give him time in pocket. And if he doesn't have it, you'll know. mean, this fumble was bad. Obviously returned for a touchdown. Pages don't look that good. obviously you already covered Drake May, so Drake may be, but my goodness. Liam: Sorry, that Drake maybe. Great. Jamie: I think that's going be the tagline from all season. like, yeah, no running game either, like you said, for the Steelers. Defense, don't look that good either. apart from TJ, what else have they got? Liam: They are a moments built defense rather than a a Jamie: Mmm. Liam: smothering defense. They've got a moment. Look, they've got T J they've got like a T J what. They've got they've got moments. They can produce Jamie: They TJ, that's all you need, Yeah. Liam: that moment. But are they that you need a superstar offense for that to be your defense. And we're gonna get onto one of those later, but yeah. Jamie: Yeah, but I mean after two games Ravens, Steelers and Browns are all on the same record. Liam: Awesome. So I think I think we'll park that game there. So next game, Jamie. What a game. Bengals at Texans. Jamie: An interesting one. it wasn't on red zone much. didn't think, for all the yesterday had to pretty much go and watch highlights of which wasn't that many for CJ Stroud. mean, Liam: Agree. Jamie: 353 passing yards for him, but when it mattered to actually get points on the ball, he just couldn't make the pass at the right time. Obviously no interceptions for him either, but obviously no touchdowns. It was such a weird game. The Bengals won this one 20 to 6. Double check. Yeah, 20 to 6. 20. Thank you very much. Liam: Twenty to six. Got your back, mate. I've got the scores. I've got I got something ready. Jamie: There you go. And like, for the Bengals, rushing game was non-existent, but when you've got T Higgins and Jamal Chase, you don't pretty much need anyone else. Joe Burrow was very efficient. He found both of his number one, number two wide receivers. And it's quite a routine win defense for some reason just work for the Bengals as well. I'll see they lost Trey Hendrickson. but it doesn't seem to affect them at all realistically. I mean, they've looked. Yeah. They've Liam: Not at all. Not at all. I'm glad you I would I wanted to jump in there because Jamie: yeah. Liam: this is what I mentioned in the last game. I think the Bengals have gone from a negative defense. Yes, they had Trey Hendrickson, but nothing else. They've now gone to a functional unit which does now in two weeks make plays, makes takeaways, makes stops. And it wasn't doing that that last year. Like you mentioned, with this offense with Burroughs, who Clearly avoided back surgery, might we add. Not quite a Caleb Williams, but he's not in he's not on an operated theatre. But when you've got look Jamar Chase today, that that's gonna be the cat that's gonna be the catch of the year. Jamar Chase Jamie: Wild catch. Liam: unreal, especially bouncing back after last week. And I think you've got an offense like this, and now you've got a defense that can make plays, can turn nothing into something, and to me This is the kind of offence you need to have a defense like this. Dexter Lawrence, he's already paying back tenfold. Got Boy Maffey, you've got the pass rushes in place. The Bengals are gonna be feisty and I love it. Jamie: And I can't, there's probably going to be a stats out there, but like the Benkels are two and over start of season. I don't remember. Liam: Mate, no. So so good, so good. And Jamie: Yeah. Liam: and they've and they're not completely injured. So yeah, I think you mentioned it briefly about the passing yards. So the Texans had just over three hundred and seventy passing yards to the Bengals just over two hundred and sixty passing yards. So in terms of efficiency, I'm not too worried. I think the Texans are a good functional offense. The problem is, it's like, like you said, when it comes down to it, Burroughs is throwing to Chase for touchdowns off the back of defensive moments and short fields. CJ Stroud, he's getting a lot of flack, and I actually think we can all cool down a little bit. Like, who is he actually throwing to? Like Collins out. Higgins, who is meant to be having a massive step up in his second year, out for the year. Booty, who they traded for, where's he? Clearly still in the classroom learning the offense because I haven't seen him. Tank Dell, who's meant to be fit, where's he? He's not back. Not like, can't criticise this, but that's your four best wide receivers out. Schultz, okay. We might hear about him later in fantasy pickups, but he's looking he's looking good, but he is like a role player. He's not gonna be your number one pass catcher. Montgomery got shut down today. So like what is actually like for all of the not abuse, but for all of the bashing that CJ Stroud's getting off the back of the getting kicked out of the playoffs last year, you know, who is he throwing to? So that's my piece on that. Well done, Bengals. Texans, let's get this man someone to pass to. Jamie: And let's get him a running game because I'm just looking at that. So rushing against the Bengals, right? CJ Stroud the most 29 yards, probably running for his life. Second behind him, right? Yeah. Jalen Noll got one carry 13 yards. Dave Montgomery, six carries for 10 yards and Joe Quavius Marks got eight carries for eight yards. So you've got. Liam: Jamie, if you did like two truths and a lie and you said to me Jo Joavius Marks was catching Jamie: Yeah. Liam: passes in the NFL, Ivan Joquavi Joquavius. Jamie: Jaquevius got five catches for 27 yards. Like, I mean, that's what he's, that's like he said, you look at who he's throwing to, Foster Morrow didn't read that. To be fair, fair play to CJ Shroud of getting 353 passing yards total. I mean, that is four sacks as well. Get this man some protection, get him some weapons so he can clearly Liam: This Jamie: throw the ball. Liam: at this point, do we know more dolphins wide receivers than Texans wide receivers? Jamie: Yeah, we might do. mean, yeah, it is bad. But yeah, Bengal's good start. Texan's Norton too. Liam: Okay, on to the next game with me. Packers at Jets. And I've I've stumbled onto another doozy because this was another. You know what? I'll give it this. If you like a defensive game. You know what? Some defenses turned up. It was raining. I've got my notes here. And one thing I want to note, which I don't think I expected. The Jets look like a bruising defense. And if you're just looking at the season in isolation, I think if you're a Jets fan, you're quite excited. Gino's looking quite good. I think it all just comes down to experience at the end of the day. I think the the offenses and defenses are going to and fro. And by two and fro I mean like fourths and fourth and outs, field goals, not a lot going on. I mean Jordan Love. He is looking like I don't know. To be honest, so there was down there was down so many linemen, the Green Bay Packers, that at one point I think LaFleur was thinking about putting in Tuckercraft as an offensive lineman just for rotation, just to have enough offensive linemen. And he said it's something he's never come across in his whole time coaching, and he hasn't ever heard of anybody's O-line getting that depleted. So I'll give Jordan Love and the Green Bay Packers something, but the Jets kept coming. They were smashing. They were smashing. And like there was just no way through for Green Bay. I think when it came down to it, I think it was about on the halfway line. And the head coach for the Jets had said at halftime that they've had no success running it up through the middle? And they was third and two, I believe. They had to just get this first down. That takes them into the two-minute warning. They basically get to run out the clock. And finish that game off. They then don't convert with two runs up the middle. a ring of a run up the middle and a sneak. Then Green Bay get it. And to be fair, Green Bay go through go three and out, so it ends up going to overtime. So it's just like, okay, fine. Whatever. Like, Jets, you've missed your chance to close out a game, get a f chip cheeky field goal. Then nowadays, in overtime with the with the With the with the way it works now, both teams get to reply. Most teams defer and they take, if they win the toss, they take the second possession. The Jets went first. And again, it just showed a lot of inexperience, inexperience, inexperience. Like we haven't been in these moments. We're not in these close games. We usually have let things slip by this point. And I think that was the big difference at the end of the day. Again, nothing too exciting. The Jets running games looking okay. Like we mentioned before the season started, Green Bay aren't showing us anything on offense. Nothing like I think that we like if you're hoping for this team, you're not seeing anything that you're hoping for. Jamie, anything else to cover on this game? Again, it was a bit of a detractor for me. Jamie: Yeah, it wasn't the best. mean, but I do love defense and it was, it was quite enjoyable for me anyway, but, yeah, do you know what? It's a smash and grab in terms of a win for the Packers because I thought they looked poor and I thought the Jets were quite good, but, I think I've this weird thing for the Jets this season, just cause like everyone's sort of counting them out. I hate them. I hate probably not very strong, but, Gina Smith coming back. Smith, just He's playing smart, efficient, not risky NFL football. He's not putting the ball in that much danger. He's not, getting no exceptions as well this week. So it was good. will say the only probably biggest negative was that I've got Jane read my fantasy. and he obviously went off with a bad neck injury on a spine board, but a matter of flaws already confirmed that he's got movement of feeling in every part of his body. So At least that is some positive news as well for Green Bay on top of that. But yeah, I mean, bit of a smash and grab. Jets will learn from it. I mean, there was a lot of questions of Aaron Glenn, as you said, taking the overtime, taking it first rather than normally going second. But you know, if you fancy it, why not, you know, why not get the ball, get a touchdown and stop him? You know, but it's one of those. Yeah. Liam: Yeah, like I get inexperienced. They've got this new game manager in from the Giants, and I think where was he? But you know, if they're learning, they're in an experienced team, there was a losing team last year, and we're still waiting on that interception. So yeah, anyway, that streak continues. Next game, Jamie Raiders at Chargers. Jamie: Fantastic. Wow. The Raiders, the Raiders, Kerco Chains turns up, puts on a performance in front of Madison Beer and Justin Herbert. If I was Maddie Beer, I'm going for the Kirk Cousins now. Liam: Wait, the Raiders. What is happening? The Raiders are here. Jamie: Who would have thought that start the season? Who would have thought the Chargers and Norton would start the season as well? Kirk Cousins, interesting stats. So he threw a 40-yard touchdown pass. He was slinging it. I loved it. It was just like Jacobo Brissett last week. If you want to get on the Chargers, start slinging it. And then he seemed to get bit of production. Obviously, Derwin James left the game in the same course with a hand injury, which probably helped. I mean, so the Kirk Cousins, right, that 40-yard touchdown pass. That's the furthest pass he's made since he played the Chargers back in 2024, where he threw a 60 yard pass. So I don't know what it is with Kerco chains and Chargers, but goodness, he looked good. And then on the flip side, Justin Herbert. my goodness. He looks awful. Absolutely awful. He looked like he was struggling to find... It was, was, why I received it over. Johnston was open on a few occasions. He just couldn't find him. The turnover was shocking. The interception was so, so poor. And the Chargers fumbled it six times. Justin Herbert was lucky. I mean, it could have been a lot more than 26-14. Liam: It pfft I mean, the Chargers. Wow. Jamie: Wow. Liam: I mean, I s I mean how long can this go on? I mean, you're the second team in a city. You don't even win games. It's quite a low moment for the Chargers, isn't it? there's just so little to say, Jamie. I mean It's just bad. How are you this bad? don't even like after this week as well. I mean, we get onto the Seahawks Cardinals game. I don't even I was like, wow, the Cardinals smashed it. I don't even think the Cardinals smashed it now. I just think that I just don't think the Chargers got anything. They're gonna be bottom of the they're gonna be they are going to be bottom of the AFC West. Not great. Jamie: Yeah. So a few stats, obviously. First team. Well, we'll Liam: Obviously. Jamie: share this one to you earlier. First team NFL history. Yeah, they charge to start Norton to have losses to 14 plus lost teams from the previous year. Obviously, the Cardinals in 2015, 2025, even fast forward 10 years were three and 14. The Raiders were three and 14 as well last season. Both, weirdly enough, finishing 26 14. And then you look at the next fixtures. my goodness. So. very quickly on the chargers, Bills away, Seelks away, Broncos at home, Chiefs away, Rams away, Texans at home, Ravens away. They're not a nine. Liam: Rough. Rough, rough, rough ride. I mean, there's not much to say. They're gonna have to turn it round and show us something at some point. Amor in Hampton? Okay. That's Jamie: fumble. Liam: it. Only comment. Jamie: It looks alright when he doesn't fumble it every single week. Liam: When he doesn't fumble it. If you don't fumble it, Amarion, you're okay. Okay, ready for next game? Cool. So I've got Jaguars at Broncos. So the final score was Why have whoa, why have I got thirty to the Jaguars, twenty to the Broncos? Intense game. This felt to me maybe the highest quality and most equal game of the week. Like this felt like it could be a playoff game and it there's a good chance it could be. Broncos off to a bit of a slow start. they recovered and they're back. They got Jalen Waddle into the game, they got going. Jalen Waddle went like Just shy of 140 yards, I believe. they're looking good. The defense is there. The Patrick Mahomes Chiefs with that running game might be a different type of issue to most offences, I think. And I think that run-heavy offense that they can deploy against the Broncos defense, I think, is a different issue to what is a well-rounded offense of the Jags. The Jags did turn up like this was not a one-sided game, but I mean it was I mean it's a one-score game. The Jags look they look okay as well. I think this looked like two good offense, two I think two competent and above average offences, and two really solid defenses, which I don't know if I was going to say about the Jaggers before the season. Ultimately, the Broncos defense was the winning unit today. I think. You're a Broncos fan. That home field advantage is very important to you. And I think after that win today, they have the best home field record in the NFL period. so yeah, I think the Bowniks ride is interesting. He's clearly not what he was last year, but they also won a lot of one score and late games and comebacks last year. So this also fits that narrative. I mean, Trevor Lawrence had a couple of big throws he could have made towards the end of the match, which just didn't land kudos to the Broncos defense. What have you got for me on this, Jamie? Jamie: Pretty much exactly that. yeah, these two are playoff teams and I think They're both building they're probably missing that bills that chiefs bit but they're probably outside of that they're in that conversation of like not top AFC teams Liam: Yeah. Jamie: but they're the second with the Ravens. You've got the Ravens, Broncos and Jags in that little collective just below the Bills and the Chiefs. But good game. Enjoyable viewing despite only a 2013 scoreline. But yeah, was quite good and Broncos deserved it and they just, as we said for last season, they just find a way in one score games just to find a way to win. And that's a good sign of a good team. as he said, Bo Nicks don't quite know he's not as he was last season, but it's only week two and he's only, you know, he's just come back from injury. his biggest injury of his career. I'll let him, I'll give him to week four, week five. So I make my judgment on Mr. Nicks. Liam: Yeah. Also, Jamie, I'm sorry I keep bringing ghosts into the pod, like making all these little noises. Ooh, like I don't know what's going on. I I can Jamie: Great. Liam: only I just my ghosts don't want you to speak, apparently. Anyway, that's a good We'll see how Jamie: We'll see how the edit goes for that. Liam: the edit goes. But yeah, but yeah. Do you know what though? Parker Washington, he's obviously the wide receiver one, no doubt about it. Everybody's there. Jalen Waddle, welcome. To an offense, welcome to a team. Love to see it. We've wanted to see it. RJ Harvey went out with an injury. Jonah Coleman. Pre season and pre NFL, you know, game. Like people have been hyping this guy up. He stepped up to the plate. He's one to watch. So yeah, that's it from me. On to the next one. Again, with me. Seahawks at the Cardinals. Not a lot to say about this one. 31 to the Seahawks versus seven to the Cardinals. So big win for the Seahawks. Like we said, coming off last week, Cardinals look great against the Chargers, Brissett hitting all his wide receivers. Love Algier looking solid in the rush game. Drew Locke, the backup quarterback for the Seattle Seahawks. Stepping up. They had a long week to plan for this game. And ultimately, he did enough and they shut the Cardinals down. The Cardinals couldn't do. I mean, I said they couldn't do anything. Their first drive, they went and scored a touchdown. Fantastic. Trey McBride, great. He was moving the chains. And then you know what? They buttoned it up and Drew Locke's first pass. Hits JSN for what I believe is one of the longest touchdowns out of his career. JSN, he is on a better start than he was last year. And he was the offensive player of the year last year. The Seahawks offense is functional. They've got a backup quarterback that can deliver and meet a game plan. And if you're not a Seahawks fan and not playing against them, right? And like we both love defense, right? So maybe it's a bit different for us. But I'm gonna go as far to say as this D this Seahawks D has not taken a step back and it's so awe consuming, it actually makes these games borderline unwatchable for the neutrals. Jamie: So I actually enjoyed the game till half time because it was competitive. And then there's something that he does at half time where he just makes these little, he makes these adjustments mid game and he just stifles the offense that have the opposition. like he just, he got like a choke hold on the Arizona Cardinals offense and he just stopped them, stopped the productivity. and I mean, that's the difference. That's why, you know, the Seawolves are 112 straight from the back end of last season into this season. And they just, yeah, they look unstoppable. I mean, even with true luck. Liam: Mate, it's the Seahawk stranglehold. I mean, it's just it's like the whole first half, they're crushing, they're crushing, they're crushing. They're working out where your weakness is. They turn it up that extra notch in the second half when the offensive bodies are a little bit tired and those defenses get a little bit better anyway, and they've learned a bit about what you're doing. And they those Seahawks, they just constrict. It's just an absolute anaconda, and I love it. But big shout out to JSN. And also, Running back, Price got injured and Wilson stepped up in the backfield for the Seahawks. You know, we'll see. Obviously, that's a bit of a it's a bit of a question mark area for the Seahawks, but you know, he was on the he was on, you know, he's he's a touted NFO running back with a l with a little bit of pedigree anyway. Like not surprised, but that was still good to see. So yeah, not a lot for me else to say on this one. Seahawks defense all consuming. JSN on fire. Cool. Jamie: I saw a really good stat by the way, where... Liam: Go for it. Gimme the stat. Jamie: So from last season, out of the 53 roster, the Silks have re-signed from last season and kept 44 out of the 53, which is the most any team that's won the Super Bowl has then kept as a collective for next season. obviously, was it Maffei left and then you've got Kenneth Walker. big names, it's basically every single player that left I feel like the Seahawks got this big like, what a big miss, big miss. But when you keep a core collective 44 out of 53 of a roster, you've got that ethos of winning already. You're just building on top of that over and over. Liam: And yes, you need elite pl elite players, but you've got an elite system, right? So I think you've got a s you've got a rotation. So if you can bring somebody that buys into the system and rotates and buys, that's a brotherhood. Like you see that on you saw that on hard knocks, like with all the shadow boxing and just the way they go about things, that's just a brotherhood and just I that that is that is the team I would want to play for the way that they play together though. Like even if you're not the superstar. I think you feel part of that squad. And I think it looks like a full collective. And big shout out to them. So the Seahawks. I mean, they're a number one in our power angles for a reason, coming out this week for the public eyes. So yeah, cool. So Jamie, on to the next one. Dolphins at our fine wine forty niners. Jamie: Yeah, the OAPs never looked in doubt in this game. What did they finish? 35? I mean they ended up with 13 for the Dolphins. 35-13 to the OAPs. Liam: Thirty five thirteen, yeah. Jamie: A good stat, here you go. The Dolphins are the only team in the NFL to not lead for a single second so far this season. after two games. So shout out to Miami Dolphins building one of the worst offensive rosters known to NFL history. So fair play. do you know what, before I get onto the 49ers and the system QB himself, the Dolphins, I actually quite like Malik. Liam: Stop Leave Brock Purdy alone. Jamie: I'll get onto him, I'll give System QB some flowers in a minute. Liam: Leave him alone, Jamie. Poor Brock. Jamie: Always welcome on the show, Brock. We can chat about your system quarterbacking. But the Dolphins, I actually quite like Ozzy Devonechan, fantastic. Top 10 running back potentially, there or thereabouts. Malik Willis, solid. You build a team around those two, you've got actually quite a functional offense. Defense needs a lot of work and they need they need something but outside of those I'm quite encouraged by that those two every all other 51 players on the roster Horrific stinking up the NFL gaff as they say but for the OAPs Mr. System QB he found his level and that was the Miami Dolphins defense that he was able to to torch up And he looks decent, very so Joe, love efficient quarterbacks and that's why he's Mr. System QB 20 out 22 in the pocket, 287 yards, two touchdown passes. And strangely enough, he was the best Russia of the day for the OAPs as well. 30 yards and a Russian Tud as well. but yeah, I don't know what else to say. Easy win. Liam: Not much not easy win, not much to say. I'm gonna leave it on the 49ers, all looking okay. all padding out the stat sheet for the season. Like you said, Miami. Malik Willis Malik Willis looks fine. Like he looks like an NFL quarterback. He just looks like he's got no one around him. The defense is absolutely stinky. it's gonna be interesting what they do next year. I hope Malik Willis ends up somewhere okay. I hope that. Jeff Hafley, first-time head coach, doesn't get binned off and just like been like, well, you've done a bad job. I mean, talk about setting you up for failure. I think that the Dolphins have got this wrong, though. Like they're tanking to get one of these good quarterbacks coming out in the draft. I just think that look what the Raiders have done. Look what, I mean, look what the Chiefs did. Look what some of these teams that have been successful. I mean, maybe it's a bit early on the Raiders, but I don't think you can bring these youngers. quarterbacks in and say, here is like the worst roster in the NFL, but you're good. Now let's win. Like I think you need to actually have a good team around them. This is what this is what's quite good about the Jets. The Jets have got a lot of capital. They can probably hopefully trade up, get a good quarterback, and they've got this defense around them. They've got some weapons around like, you know, Garrett Garrett Wilson, Adnah Mitchell, Brees Hall, plus a an even better quarterback that's rookie with Gino back up and and mentoring. See that that sounds like a a good situation. Whatever's gonna happen in Miami, you're probably gonna be able to be in a position to get the player, but what are you bringing him into? This screams of like a Zach Wilson, Josh Rosen, like absolute not bottle jobs. I can actually feel sorry for both of those blokes. Like you come into league, you get battered, you lose your confidence, what you're gonna do. Anyway, Jamie: Yeah. Liam: not much to say about these. On to the next one. Commanders at Cowboys. I'm gonna keep my bit short, Jamie, but to me, Cowboys offense, hello, you're here. I love it. We forgot about you, CD Lamb. Dak to CD Lamb. Wow. If it wasn't for Jamar Chase, like C D Lamb dinner all the way, like, I don't know. Absolutely love it. That is that is absolute dynamite. Then you've got George Pickens backing him up. Whether he likes that or not, I don't know. I think a team should go and make him their number one wide receiver and they should trade for a pick and a wide receiver wide receiver two next year. But at the minute, that looks so good as a one-two. Javante Williams looks good. What can you say about the Cowboys? The defense held up its end of the bargain. Washington commanders, Jaden Daniels looked really good. Like, we'll get onto it. But Jaden Daniels looked it's not it's actually not funny. Jaden Daniels looked really good. And actually, I was so down on the commanders coming to this season. And Jaden Daniels looks closer to year one than he did last year in year two. And he might be an absolute superstar of a quarterback. They don't have a lot going on. Crosky Merritt, at the minute, he's not holding up his end of the bargain of being a running back one, even though this was a question mark anyway. Terry McLaurin back in the game, but Stefan Diggs looking like an absolute weapon. So fair play. Final score 20 points to Washington, 37 points. To the Cowboys. So the Cowboys really did walk away with it. I think that big bit of news that came from this game, though, apart from the Cowboys being back, what on earth has happened to Jaden Daniels' elbow again? He has hyper extended his elbow, the same one that he did last year. So I've got it knocked down here. He fully hyper extended his elbow last year in week nine. He did it again in week fourteen, which shut him down for the season. He's done it again now in week two. And I think, like I said, two the boys in our group chat for fantasy Jamie. I was like, I cannot believe I've seen this man's elbow move in that direction again. Jamie: It is horrific. Yeah, I mean, I said it in the chat as well. was like, just kick. You've got three seconds left. You know, you're going to you're probably going to get blitz, right? Do not put your franchise cube in a situation where you're going to get blitzed three seconds going to half. Just kick the field goal. You make it 13, 17, I think it was at the time or 13, 20, something like that. And then just fine. Get the ball second half. Go from there. But Gets blitzed, he stumbles, puts his arm down. Obviously Tom Brady, you know, said the rest, we won't quote him, but he had some fantastic quotes yesterday for those watching it. Liam: We'll get to it. We'll get to it. Jamie: But yeah, I mean, the news obviously has come out in the press conference 16 minutes ago. Daniel's brackets elbow. Liam: Breaking news again! Jamie: Jayden Daniels surprisingly won't play in week 3. Per Dan Quinn, Marcus Marriott will start for the commanders against Seattle. Oof. That's not a game you want Marcus Marriott to play in. So yeah, that's a tough old game for Marcus Marriott to be pulled into. But for Dak Prescott, he has thrown the most passing touchdowns in Dallas Cowboys. history, 249 touchdowns. And I love a QB rating 143.8 sensational from that. That's the offense I want to see every single week from Dallas Cowboys. That's you've set the bar play like Liam: This is it? Yeah. Jamie: that. Liam: I mean, does this mean that the Giants are good? Does it make you worry about your Rams your suggested Rams pick tonight? No. Jamie: No, plus Ram's defense is definitely going to step up and win me a game of fantasy. So it's all good. Liam: Fair enough. I think last couple of ones, I think. Tom Brady's commentary. Look it Jamie: since I show. Liam: up. Hilarious. What is this guy on about? We say a a piss missile. Can we say that, Jamie? He's what is that? Anyway, you know. Jamie: piss missile we can I don't know do know when he said it I went he he did say that didn't I looked on Twitter Liam: Yeah. Jamie: everyone's going piss missile piss missile every single comment I was like what Liam: What what what what what yeah and then there was another blooper in this game. I don't know if you saw it. They did this close-up. There was a cowboys player lay down on his front, and another Jamie: Ugh. Liam: cowboys player stepped up all into his business. They Jamie: Yeah Liam: played the full same injury music that Jaden Daniels went off the pitch with. And they went to an injury time out, and then the commentate it was what? They need I can't claim this myself, but there's a they've got to come up with a different piece of music to go to an injury timeout than for the serious injuries. They can't they and Jamie: Yeah. Liam: to be fair, I did feel for him because it looked painful. Jamie: It looked painful because the other guy was celebrating wasn't he? So as he's celebrating he's just stepping on his mate. But yeah, damn. Good win for the Cowboys Liam: Exactly. Cool. Right. Jamie: though. Liam: Good hey. Welcome back, Cowboys. Cool. On to the next one. Last game for the show. Jamie Sunday night football. Colts at Chiefs. Jamie: I would like to make an apology to the Colts. I said last week in the preview that the Colts just don't get my juices flowing. Like to stay up till like four in the morning watching a primetime game. Drive one. They made some plays. Warren got the cash in the end zone and thinking, damn, here we go, Colts. Maybe this is going to be a game. And then I asleep for the rest of the game. So I was actually correct. So I actually missed the rest of it, but fantastic first drive. And then when I woke up seeing it went to overtime, 33-30, so obviously a goal won it. Brilliant. Mahomes back to his best, 382 yards, three parts and touchdowns. Travis Kelsey with a 100-yard plus receiving game and a TUD as well. Obviously then the game went into overtime. Both got field goals or open drives. Great response from the Colts to get a field goal, but as the time expired. Harrison buck cut hit the winner for a 33 30. it, yeah. Liam: believe Jamie, I believe that Patrick Mahomes is eight and in overtime games. Jamie: I'm not surprised. mean, there was a lot of comments about the referees helped him and stuff like that, but the Colts had the chance to win it. There's been robbery somewhere, but it wasn't in this game and the the Chiefs, expect them to win this game anyway. But fair play, the Colts show, to be fair, the Colts have shown a lot more. than I thought they would have in the last two weeks, in first two weeks of the season. Two very tough teams. That's about it, that's what I got from. Liam: Yeah. If the co if the Colts if the Colts weren't in an all or nothing season, which they've put themselves in that situation of, I would be like promised by the Colts. They played a tough game against the Ravens. They look tough against them and they've actually taken the Chiefs in Kansas to overtime against a team that actually looks really good. I think Mahomes showed another thing again tonight. That he hasn't for a while. He showed that deep passing game. They've gone back for that's how he started off at Candace. That's what made him the best quarterback that ever has been. He was throwing it deep, running games, trick plays, intermediate game. As team decided to just shut down the explosives, he ended up having to become dink and dunk and no rel no running game to fall back on. Now they've got a good running back. And he's got these flyers that go downhill. I think that there's so many random names on that team. There's so many new names I cannot keep up. I think there's a player called Royals who caught a touchdown today. So it's like they've got all these flyers. They've Thornton, they've got Xavier Worthy. They've got all these boys bombing it downfield. Threats deep. If you don't load up against them, you've got a lot of people like Travis Kelsey down in the middle. Then you've got running game Kenneth Walker. Like what are you doing? How are you stopping this? how are you stopping the best quarterback in the league with an array of offensive weapons at different depths? They're gonna be a hard team to beat, especially at home. Colts though, promising. Jonathan Taylor, love to see it as well. He's one of these players, if he was ever on a good team, like what would that look like? Like him and Bijan are the two names that's that's Maybe I think Genty and Hampton might get there. But Jonathan Taylor, if he j I just imagine hit like he would have the Kenneth Walker effect on the Chiefs, like I think even more so. But yeah. Great game. Sunday night football. Fair play to the Colts. Chiefs, you're still there. Right. So that's the end of the review section this week. We're now gonna go to our fantasy pickup of the week. Jamie, who have you got? Jamie: We sort of name dropped him earlier at a tight end of the Houston Texans. The only receiver that he's got at the moment is a Dalton Schultz, end, 140 yards. He got obviously no touchdowns for them, but what else has CJ Shroud got? You know, he got, did he get 20 points in the end as well? Very solid for a tight end. I think he was tight end two from memory for the week. But he looked, he looked good. can catch the ball. can move. He's the pickup for me this week. Liam: Nice one. So Got two. Only because we can't have two tight ends, Jamie. We can't go with two tight ends. But my one was gonna be Darren Walla. Hate to steal your player, but he is only on nine percent of rosters on sleeper. That to me, scoring touchdowns, yes, against a bad defense, maybe a bad team. But Bryce Young, I just I just genuinely think he needs really good weapons. Darren Walla, he is a red zone threat. So my fantasy pickup of the week, number one, Darren Walla. Number two, I don't know if you've got a second, Jamie. We haven't planned this far ahead, but my number two is also Trey Tucker of the Las Vegas Raiders. We spoke about them before. We said, Kirko Chains, the Raiders. They're here, right? Thank you, I like I love that you like my impression. But Trey took it on fantasy, so it in the re depends on the game you play. I'm half PPR, twenty points, right? That is like something that you if it can bring any consistency, yes he's a deep threat weapon weapon. If he starts to get any consistency, you want that on your team. So yeah, that is it for our fantasy pickups of the week. Now into our next section, our winners and losers of the week. We both pick a winner and a loser. Jamie, we're gonna snake it. So who is your winner of the week? Jamie: My winner is the Minnesota Vikings. NFC North clash against the Bears, stifling that offense, the best offense ever in the NFL history, according to their head coach, McCade Williams. And they went into their back garden and they've, they were sensational on defense. I love being a defense and they won it nine three. They're my winners, winners of the week. Liam: Jamie, can't agree more. I went slightly different track, but my winner of the week is Brian Flores. Like, you've got the old Ravens, Mike McDaniel Tree. This guy, I know there's some beef going on with some lawsuits. Who does not want a piece of this? He is blitzing. Like just shive 80% of the time against starting top 10 NFL quarterbacks. He is putting you under so much pressure. Can you live with that for whole games for a whole season? Let's see him getting head coach interviews next year. Buzzed for that guy, especially off the back of what happened last week, shutting down that Bears offense. He is my winner of the week. So I'm gonna jump into losers of the week. And Jamie, my loser of the week are the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. It is the Deshaun Watson retirement game. Baker, they kicked you out of Cleveland. They said, we're gonna give the world for this man who has not played in four years. He's not done anything in four years. They come into your house, just put the worst team in the NFL to bed. And I think that I'm just gonna stand on that. They're the worst team in the NFL because I've got the worst quarterback. And Baker, you messed up. Books, you messed up. there's a also a new thing that I've never heard of. It's like a score agami, but for coaching names, it's been brought up a lot. There's never been two head coaches called Todd against each other. So you lost the name Agami, you lost the the Sean Watson retirement bowl, and you've lost to the worst team in the NFL. And you're starting Norton 2 for the first time in about since about 2014. Buccaneers are my losers of the week. Jamie: Damn. And you hate to see it. They are big Liam: They're big losers, Jamie. They were out they're big losers. Jamie: losers. My Loser of the Week, I hate to say it, is our 4th and T team at home against the Saints. Liam: no, not our ravens. Jamie: Our Baltimore Ravens, they've let us down. It's only taken two weeks, but it's fine. It's fine. mean, I mentioned earlier, they only scored three points in the second half at homey. It's Nour Lian Saints. that no one fancied. Maybe the Saints are actually good. Maybe the Ravens just just didn't do enough in the second half in that game or the first half really. But yeah, they are unfortunately my my news of the week, but they're going to bounce back. So it's okay. Ravens. We've got you. Liam: They're gonna bounce back. I mean, it's typical that we just p we pick up team of the pod. The first season we're doing this and in week two they look week one they look like superstars. Week two they're just how are you doing this? Losing to a different NFC South team. Jamie: Do know what, actually you mentioned, I'll confess, you mentioned the Buccaneers. My pick for Survivor was the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and they lost. week two and I've already lost Survivor, if that helps. Liam: Fourth and T podcast, first ever survivor. Jamie's out in week two. Look, we'll put the post up, but I of one with the fine wine forty nineers. So yeah, we're gonna restart that going next week on the preview show. But yeah, cool. That's it for another review show, week two in the bag. Thank you, Jamie. That's been proper. Jamie: Yeah, I mean, we're both really ill and we've just dropped our longest podcast we've ever done. So. Liam: Yep, Costadel illness ain't stopping us. N the sniffle train is gonna be a good edit. So yeah. Right. come on the Ravens next week. Let's bounce back. Sniff. Jamie: sniff. That's what I've got. Liam: Thank you for listening. Please like, please subscribe. Find us on all the platforms. Fourth and tea. That's the number four. TH and T. Like a Cupa. See you on the next pod. Peace and love.
