- 0:59Speaker 1: I will say in the.
- 1:00Speaker 2: Year twenty twenty sick. That's in case they're listening audio later.
- 1:05Speaker 1: Really yeah, you think this isn't coming out to twenty
- 1:07Speaker 1: twenty six? Just a guess. I don't know, maybe maybe
- 1:11Speaker 1: late twenty five. I don't know what are we doing
- 1:12Speaker 1: around here? I have no idea I have. If you're on.
- 1:14Speaker 2: Bramble Jam plus, you're listening right now in the present
- 1:16Speaker 2: day twenty twenty four, that's exactly right.
- 1:18Speaker 1: Yeah, so sure take that. Take that haters. Would you
- 1:22Speaker 1: like to go first? You want me to? It sounds
- 1:24Speaker 1: like you've got an ear full.
- 1:27Speaker 2: I'm gonna go first so I can listen in all
- 1:29Speaker 2: its glory, fair enough and get this case out of
- 1:31Speaker 2: the way. We're going to America's court. Judge Kevin Ross presiding.
- 1:36Speaker 1: Can I tell you what I what I've heard, and
- 1:38Speaker 1: then you can tell me whether or not this is
- 1:40Speaker 1: at what point?
- 1:41Speaker 2: Is this not even for us anymore? It's just we're
- 1:45Speaker 2: we're just are stuck.
- 1:46Speaker 1: I yeah, to do it. No. I I was watching
- 1:50Speaker 1: CNN the other day, okay, okay, and they were reporting
- 1:53Speaker 1: on some of the goings on, and they talked about
- 1:56Speaker 1: how some of the goings on, some of the goings on,
- 1:59Speaker 1: and one of the things that you know, Anderson Cooper said, yeah,
- 2:06Speaker 1: was that he believes that justice at this point in
- 2:09Speaker 1: time has become a foreign concept. Take news, Take news.
- 2:13Speaker 1: This is the problem.
- 2:14Speaker 2: This is the problem with all these news organizations and
- 2:17Speaker 2: their facts is that they really don't take into account
- 2:25Speaker 2: what Judge Ross brings to the table.
- 2:26Speaker 1: And he can't change changing the game is.
- 2:30Speaker 2: You know, when when you go to his courtroom, Justin, Justin,
- 2:34Speaker 2: Justin isn't always there, but justice is not unequivocally is
- 2:41Speaker 2: not a foreign concept. Gabble daddy, out.
- 2:47Speaker 1: What's going on today in Judge Ross's square. Christina is
- 2:50Speaker 1: suing her bestie or former best ye oh friend of me,
- 2:55Speaker 1: her friend of me, lay for five hundred and sixty
- 2:59Speaker 1: one dollars images to property specific specifically a vaz and
- 3:03Speaker 1: a laptop damage Jessica, Sue and Laila for Christina, Christinaica, Angela, Rita.
- 3:09Speaker 1: Those are all yes. Christina is suing Laila for five
- 3:14Speaker 1: hundred large, five sixty one, got it? Yeah.
- 3:17Speaker 2: Layla is countersuing Christina for four hundred and fifty dollars
- 3:22Speaker 2: for some vet bills, all in.
- 3:24Speaker 1: All, done, all in right around a grand, right around
- 3:28Speaker 1: a grand? Yeah, yeah, just slightly over by about eleven bucks. Yes,
- 3:31Speaker 1: thank you for that. Good math on the total number
- 3:34Speaker 1: that both are suing for together. That always comes into
- 3:36Speaker 1: play at the end. Christina, out of hand, out of order,
- 3:42Speaker 1: out of order, Okay, you're on of hand, not wrong.
- 3:48Speaker 1: Christina is like, I'm here today to sue my former friend.
- 3:51Speaker 1: She came over unannounced with her large dog, barged into
- 3:55Speaker 1: my apartment. She was really big on barge barged into
- 3:58Speaker 1: my apartment, knocking over a very expensive base that my
- 4:01Speaker 1: grandma gave me.
- 4:03Speaker 2: And Ross is like, slow down, did you invite her over?
- 4:06Speaker 1: No.
- 4:06Speaker 2: We usually meet in the park to go for walks
- 4:09Speaker 2: with our dogs together.
- 4:10Speaker 1: It's nice.
- 4:11Speaker 2: And he goes, oh, what kind of dog do you have?
- 4:12Speaker 2: And she goes, my dog's name is Princess. She's a Shitsu.
- 4:16Speaker 2: She is the sweetest dog. Would you like to see
- 4:18Speaker 2: a picture? That's what she says. Ross is like, everybody,
- 4:20Speaker 2: hold on you, ma'am. Layla, what is your dog's name?
- 4:24Speaker 1: Wait? Does he get to see a picture? Not yet,
- 4:26Speaker 1: We'll get there, I promise. Uh.
- 4:28Speaker 2: Layla is like, my dog's name is Coco. Yes, she's
- 4:32Speaker 2: a Husky shepherd mix. Yes, And even though Princess is
- 4:37Speaker 2: much small as they get along so very well. And
- 4:39Speaker 2: Christina and I have always gotten along well since we
- 4:41Speaker 2: moved in the same partrick apartment complex.
- 4:43Speaker 1: And they just walk their dogs together.
- 4:44Speaker 2: Right, they walk met in the park, they walk their dogs.
- 4:46Speaker 2: It's a budding friendship. It's been going on a little
- 4:48Speaker 2: bit under a year.
- 4:49Speaker 1: That's right. Layla's like, we developed a friendship.
- 4:52Speaker 2: Found out we both really love our dogs, and we
- 4:54Speaker 2: both really love reality TV, specifically baking reality TV. And
- 4:59Speaker 2: I found out her favorite Christina's favorite bake good as
- 5:03Speaker 2: a blueberry scone. And so we've been friends for over
- 5:05Speaker 2: six months and I made her homemade scones. And I thought,
- 5:10Speaker 2: instead of meeting her at the park, I would before
- 5:14Speaker 2: we go walking. I'd show up at her house with
- 5:16Speaker 2: the scones and say here, I made these scones for
- 5:19Speaker 2: you before we go take our dogs.
- 5:20Speaker 1: On a wall. She's gonna knock over that vase, yeah,
- 5:23Speaker 1: when delivering handmade scones, and she's gonna get sued for it.
- 5:28Speaker 1: Christina is a monster, right, Oh my gosh.
- 5:32Speaker 2: So she's like, I knocked on the door, Christina, Is
- 5:35Speaker 2: it Christina? There's no answer, Christina said, I was under
- 5:39Speaker 2: the impression we were meeting at the courtyard. I didn't
- 5:41Speaker 2: know anything about this area or out in the middle
- 5:44Speaker 2: of the apartment. Got place, Yes, it might be a
- 5:46Speaker 2: marrit I don't know, uh, And I got everything to
- 5:50Speaker 2: take to the courtyard, and then all of a sudden,
- 5:53Speaker 2: Leila knocks on the door. Out on the door, Coco
- 5:56Speaker 2: storms at me because she smells treats that I just
- 6:00Speaker 2: put in my bag, and she noted, she knocks, you know,
- 6:05Speaker 2: down this vase in the process, and then water drips
- 6:08Speaker 2: all over my laptop.
- 6:10Speaker 1: Layla's like, you're on it.
- 6:12Speaker 2: That's not exactly what happened. I knocked on the door.
- 6:16Speaker 2: Christina came to the door. I handed her the scones.
- 6:18Speaker 2: I stayed on the outside of the door. I didn't
- 6:20Speaker 2: come in, and Coco didn't come in. Christina then goes
- 6:24Speaker 2: and thanks me for the scones, puts the scones downs,
- 6:26Speaker 2: then packs her bag, puts the treats, and then begins
- 6:29Speaker 2: to egg on Cocoa.
- 6:31Speaker 1: No, Coco, who's a good girl? A treat you want
- 6:35Speaker 1: to treat? Yeah, different, Coco, but yess very important.
- 6:38Speaker 2: Uh So she's egging her on, I gotta treat, Come
- 6:41Speaker 2: get the treat.
- 6:42Speaker 1: Uh.
- 6:43Speaker 2: Ross is like, wait a minute, though, it's your dog.
- 6:45Speaker 2: Why didn't you control your dog? And She's like, you're
- 6:48Speaker 2: on her house outside the house. Coco knows Christina has treats.
- 6:51Speaker 1: Yuh, Coco like heard her egging her on, asking her
- 6:56Speaker 1: to come get a treat, and she got off the list.
- 6:58Speaker 1: You come over and you say, Joe, Joe, I'm gonna
- 7:02Speaker 1: let Joey come to you like at that point, you're
- 7:05Speaker 1: asking for.
- 7:05Speaker 2: It, that's right. And and Ross is like, but you
- 7:07Speaker 2: lost control of the dog. She lost control the dog
- 7:10Speaker 2: you've had for four years. You gotta you gotta maintain
- 7:13Speaker 2: control of the dog. Right, And She's like, you're on
- 7:15Speaker 2: her like she was egging her on. So does Trade
- 7:17Speaker 2: Ross have a dog? Joe Ross, listen, justice is not
- 7:22Speaker 2: no matter what Anderson Cooper says, Uh, so.
- 7:25Speaker 1: The to make matters.
- 7:26Speaker 2: Where As Coco, on her way to get a treat,
- 7:29Speaker 2: her tail knocks over the base. She hears the noise,
- 7:32Speaker 2: freezes backs up and cuts all of her paws open.
- 7:36Speaker 2: So so Layla is sitting there and she hears her
- 7:39Speaker 2: dogs start yelping, goes and gets her dog, immediately rushes
- 7:43Speaker 2: her to the vet hospital.
- 7:45Speaker 1: Right, that's what she does. One that Ross goes, is
- 7:50Speaker 1: Coco used to Christina? And she is? Yeah, she is.
- 7:52Speaker 2: So she is very much used to the fact that
- 7:55Speaker 2: she has treats. Yes, yes she is.
- 7:59Speaker 1: And uh but we had never been over to Christina's
- 8:01Speaker 1: house ever, and she's known her for six months, has
- 8:06Speaker 1: has has Christina ever said, Coco, you want to treat
- 8:09Speaker 1: and and Laila's like, yes, but we've never done that
- 8:11Speaker 1: at their house before. Is no one? Is Christina never
- 8:15Speaker 1: going to acknowledge the fact that Laila made fresh made
- 8:17Speaker 1: scones for her. We do not hear about it again.
- 8:21Speaker 1: Christina then goes, unbelievable. This is unbelievable. It is it is, sorry, Christina. Uh.
- 8:27Speaker 2: Ross goes all right, so what's the deal with these treats?
- 8:30Speaker 2: Christina's like, I was packing my bag to go to
- 8:32Speaker 2: the courtyard and he and.
- 8:34Speaker 1: And she said you did you do you speak? He says,
- 8:37Speaker 1: do you speak dog?
- 8:39Speaker 2: That's what he says, And she's like no. And he's like, then,
- 8:44Speaker 2: how did you know that Coco smelled the treats that
- 8:46Speaker 2: you had in your back? And Christina goes, well, I
- 8:48Speaker 2: assumed I was in the kitchen and she was by
- 8:50Speaker 2: the front door. And he goes, well, that's why you
- 8:52Speaker 2: shouldn't assume. Uh, you're basically begging for chaos. If you're
- 8:56Speaker 2: putting treats in your bag, talking to the dog and
- 9:00Speaker 2: asking them for a treat you are putting, You're you're
- 9:03Speaker 2: asking for care. So with the dog in a new place,
- 9:05Speaker 2: you're asking for it. Okay, So he says, tell me
- 9:09Speaker 2: about the vase. She has picks of the damages to
- 9:11Speaker 2: the base and water damages to her lap laptop. Uh
- 9:15Speaker 2: quote to fix both. She's thrown in a picture of Princess.
- 9:18Speaker 1: In that mix. Question is is any person saying that
- 9:26Speaker 1: Coco did not knock over the vase?
- 9:29Speaker 2: So, so Leyla is like Coco admitted, okay, it was
- 9:33Speaker 2: a matter of I was contracted.
- 9:34Speaker 1: I was just yes, you invited.
- 9:37Speaker 2: Yeah, that's exactly. So we see a picture of Princess.
- 9:41Speaker 2: Christina goes nuts like full.
- 9:44Speaker 1: Like like oh that's my that's my baby, like full
- 9:47Speaker 1: like this princess kid. Uh, it's a ship too, so
- 9:50Speaker 1: you know whatever.
- 9:51Speaker 2: Uh and then we see a picture of Coco, who
- 9:54Speaker 2: looks a lot like my dog Dashy, who is I mean,
- 9:58Speaker 2: the best dog in the universe. So I I am
- 10:00Speaker 2: already you know what side then I'm on.
- 10:02Speaker 1: In this case? It doesn't you know, I think that's
- 10:05Speaker 1: pretty clear.
- 10:06Speaker 2: So uh, Ross is like, you guys are best friends.
- 10:10Speaker 1: She made your scones.
- 10:12Speaker 2: You could not resolve this out of court, like you couldn't,
- 10:15Speaker 2: And Christina's like we tried to, like we tried to
- 10:17Speaker 2: and then all of a sudden, do.
- 10:18Speaker 1: I mean you tried to give me some specifics. What
- 10:21Speaker 1: does that mean?
- 10:22Speaker 2: She doesn't say uh, And then all of a sudden,
- 10:24Speaker 2: Layla is like very emotional and goes All I wanted
- 10:27Speaker 2: was a friend, and if I could keep my friends
- 10:31Speaker 2: without going to court, I would, And there was just
- 10:33Speaker 2: no way to do it.
- 10:35Speaker 1: Judge Ross is ready to rule. I just want to
- 10:40Speaker 1: paint a picture really quickly.
- 10:42Speaker 2: You're mad about the scones. Still, if you don't mind,
- 10:44Speaker 2: I would love I don't mind at all.
- 10:47Speaker 1: Imagine you moved to a new area and you finally
- 10:52Speaker 1: meet somebody that you can call friends right, and you're
- 10:57Speaker 1: so excited to finally have a friend, and you pick
- 11:00Speaker 1: up on just one little detail one day, I love
- 11:04Speaker 1: blueberry scones. So you go home, you look up a
- 11:08Speaker 1: recipe for blueberry scones. You make a batch. They're not right.
- 11:15Speaker 1: Over the period of weeks, possibly months, you're adding a
- 11:19Speaker 1: little shade story that was possibly months, you are perfecting
- 11:25Speaker 1: your scones. You're a real killer, trying to make a
- 11:27Speaker 1: perfect scone for your You just want to show your
- 11:30Speaker 1: friend that you care. So you make these perfect scones
- 11:32Speaker 1: and you go over there and you're so excited to
- 11:34Speaker 1: share scones with your friend. You knock on the door,
- 11:38Speaker 1: you stand out there, you have the scones in your hand,
- 11:41Speaker 1: and suddenly this happens. It is traumatic, it is wrong,
- 11:51Speaker 1: It is so many things. Because you invited the dog
- 11:54Speaker 1: into your house. You said, Cocoa come here at that yea,
- 12:00Speaker 1: and and is it? But Christina is saying that she
- 12:02Speaker 1: didn't invite Coco in or is she saying that She's like, yeah,
- 12:05Speaker 1: the dogknew I had treats. This is this is ridiculous,
- 12:09Speaker 1: this is she should Christina should not get anything. You
- 12:12Speaker 1: invited the dog into your house.
- 12:13Speaker 2: Should should Christina pay for the vet bills for Cocoa?
- 12:16Speaker 1: No, okay, she should. Nobody should get anything, except I
- 12:19Speaker 1: do think that she should have to reimburse her for
- 12:24Speaker 1: the scones because I or the therapy about the scones.
- 12:29Speaker 1: I know. I just think, like, honestly, that would like
- 12:32Speaker 1: hurt me a lot if if I did. If I
- 12:35Speaker 1: like try to do something really thoughtful for somebody and
- 12:39Speaker 1: it just like something happens and they're like and they
- 12:42Speaker 1: sued you, like really gonna jack you up, And so
- 12:46Speaker 1: I'm gonna feel really bad if she owes money. But
- 12:49Speaker 1: I think if if she's not gonna have to owe money.
- 12:51Speaker 1: Then nobody can owe money.
- 12:53Speaker 2: This is why to brand justice is a foreign concept.
- 12:56Speaker 1: That's what Kevin ross It judges in favor of the
- 12:59Speaker 1: plaint He says, I'm sorry, Uh, you have to control
- 13:04Speaker 1: your dog. That is you fundamentally insane. It is insane.
- 13:10Speaker 2: You answered in my court that you've never been able
- 13:13Speaker 2: to not control the dog around Christina before that goes
- 13:16Speaker 2: against you. You've also answered that you stayed outside the door.
- 13:19Speaker 2: That goes against you. Coco cannot pay for the damages.
- 13:23Speaker 2: Coco is property. You have to cover Coco's damage. You
- 13:28Speaker 2: owe Christina five hundred and sixty one dollars and your
- 13:31Speaker 2: counterclaim is unsuccessful. Judge ross final ruling. Are you gonna
- 13:39Speaker 2: be okay?
- 13:42Speaker 1: I'm so mad. I think we all are. It's so mean.
- 13:47Speaker 1: It's just really mean. Yeah. Yeah, is what it comes
- 13:49Speaker 1: down to. You made me scones and now I'm taking
- 13:52Speaker 1: you to court. Hasn't evenowledged Christine, hasn't even acknowledged the
- 13:57Speaker 1: fact that Layla, in her spare time, made her favorite treat.
- 14:03Speaker 2: She didn't even acknowledge it. She didn't say thanks, you
- 14:06Speaker 2: m insane.
- 14:07Speaker 1: Like, hey, I'm really sorry, man.
- 14:09Speaker 2: Imagine if you moved to a new town and you
- 14:11Speaker 2: and this other person both moved to a new town
- 14:13Speaker 2: and then you walk your dogs like weekly or daily together,
- 14:16Speaker 2: and you find out you both love great British bakeoff.
- 14:18Speaker 1: Yeah, and you talk about them. You're like, those skuns
- 14:20Speaker 1: looked amazing. And then you just try not this whole
- 14:23Speaker 1: Norman Baits thing you were talking about. If you've never
- 14:26Speaker 1: made skulls before, it's gonna take a couple of.
- 14:27Speaker 2: Times you try it, and you're like, look, I tried this,
- 14:30Speaker 2: and I thought you'd want to share them with me,
- 14:31Speaker 2: and then I'm going to sue you for five hundred
- 14:33Speaker 2: and six weeks.
- 14:33Speaker 1: And when traumatic Yeah, traumatic brutal man traumatics, because.
- 14:37Speaker 2: It's not about the money at that point. It's not
- 14:39Speaker 2: it's about being a bee. It's what that is, A
- 14:42Speaker 2: no good bee?
- 14:43Speaker 1: You know what good? I'm a good thing that this
- 14:45Speaker 1: happened now, Yeah, and not like longer into the friendship,
- 14:49Speaker 1: like you know what, you found out. You found out
- 14:50Speaker 1: who Christina really is. You found out who that be
- 14:52Speaker 1: really is. Let's talk about personal injury, Cord, do you mind.
- 14:56Speaker 1: I would love to talk about personal indric Beverlely Newman
- 15:00Speaker 1: is assuing go for it, you got it Mark Mark Levy,
- 15:08Speaker 1: Mark Levy fifteen thousand for medical one hundred and seventy
- 15:12Speaker 1: five for pain and suffering, for a total of one
- 15:14Speaker 1: hundred and ninety thousand dollars. Beverly Newman rinse An Apartments.
- 15:21Speaker 1: She is been in this apartment for about two years now.
- 15:24Speaker 1: At first she loves it. She is a elementary school teacher,
- 15:28Speaker 1: the hardest degree to achieve. You've said that, and you
- 15:33Speaker 1: are pro. You are pro elementary education teacher, and it
- 15:38Speaker 1: comes across. At first she's all about this. She gets
- 15:41Speaker 1: to ride her bike to school, and you know, it's
- 15:44Speaker 1: just nice. Mark Levy says that she was a fine
- 15:49Speaker 1: tenant overall, but if you know, the one complaint would
- 15:53Speaker 1: be that over the year she hasn't been very communicative.
- 15:56Speaker 1: But he says, I provide a great place, got nice landscaping,
- 16:02Speaker 1: I handled the pest control. I'm a great landlord, great landlord.
- 16:08Speaker 1: Beverly says that one day she noticed some cockroaches in
- 16:12Speaker 1: her apartment. I think we've all been there. We have
- 16:14Speaker 1: seen some cockroaches. Yes, we don't like it, but it
- 16:18Speaker 1: is part of the deal. But then I started to
- 16:22Speaker 1: get a little bit out of control, and we see
- 16:23Speaker 1: a video. The video is like an area that is,
- 16:29Speaker 1: I don't know, maybe like a four by two area,
- 16:33Speaker 1: like not a very big area, and there's like six
- 16:35Speaker 1: or seven cockroaches just right there in that area, just
- 16:38Speaker 1: playing around, playing around. It's it's not good. It's not good.
- 16:43Speaker 1: So this is clearly a problem, and she is saying
- 16:47Speaker 1: that she's reaching out to mister Levy for help and
- 16:49Speaker 1: that that help is not coming. So one day she
- 16:53Speaker 1: wakes up and in the apartment complex there's a pool,
- 16:56Speaker 1: and so she goes to the pool. She goes swimming,
- 16:58Speaker 1: and then goes to war and then she comes home
- 17:01Speaker 1: and she's a little bit tired. She started early with
- 17:03Speaker 1: a swim and she taught all day. She comes home,
- 17:05Speaker 1: she takes a nap. When she wakes up from that nap,
- 17:07Speaker 1: she feels a little bit of pain in her ear.
- 17:09Speaker 1: She assumes that this is, you know, from swimming in
- 17:12Speaker 1: the morning. Sometime as you get water, Yeah, lodging in
- 17:14Speaker 1: your ear. That happens sometimes, and you're kind of used
- 17:17Speaker 1: to that. And so she just didn't she didn't do
- 17:20Speaker 1: anything about it. Forty eight hours pass and she notices
- 17:24Speaker 1: that the pain in her ear is beginning to move around.
- 17:28Speaker 1: She feels a movement in her ear and she realizes
- 17:34Speaker 1: that it is a cockroach that has made its home
- 17:37Speaker 1: inside of her ear and she can feel it walking around.
- 17:42Speaker 1: So she goes to the doctor lot. They stick a
- 17:46Speaker 1: video camera in her ear. We do get this video,
- 17:51Speaker 1: thank god, I will not show it to the viewers
- 17:53Speaker 1: of life. And you see a cockroach stuck in her
- 17:59Speaker 1: ear wax just kind of moving around. I have to
- 18:05Speaker 1: do for you to be done with this. So they
- 18:06Speaker 1: pull it out and she has a perforated ear drum
- 18:12Speaker 1: mark then explained, I was worried about that that I
- 18:15Speaker 1: am about the cockroach that was living in my brain. Yes,
- 18:18Speaker 1: and just to just to give paint the picture really quick,
- 18:20Speaker 1: she has what looks to be like a you know,
- 18:24Speaker 1: like a one of those little lights that's like gay
- 18:26Speaker 1: high and you kind of hit it and the light
- 18:28Speaker 1: turns on. You know what I'm talking about. Kind of
- 18:29Speaker 1: looks like one of those, just on her on her ear,
- 18:32Speaker 1: and it's strapped, so some sort of bandage that's big
- 18:35Speaker 1: does look like you could hit it and turn a
- 18:36Speaker 1: light on, which I thought was pretty fun. Actually, we'll
- 18:40Speaker 1: just the idea of it as I, hey, if you
- 18:43Speaker 1: have to wear a bandage, mine as we'll get a
- 18:44Speaker 1: light out of it. Not a bad idea, and then
- 18:47Speaker 1: strapped around. So this is like just happening all the time. Uh.
- 18:50Speaker 1: Mark Levy explains that every six months we have exterminators
- 18:55Speaker 1: come out, and that is actually a part of the
- 18:59Speaker 1: agreement is that I will provide extermination and pest control
- 19:04Speaker 1: every six months. She says that is true, but it
- 19:09Speaker 1: had actually been eight months since the last Treatment's been
- 19:13Speaker 1: eight months, says the last straight manned it's been eight months.
- 19:16Speaker 1: As you can see, that is two months more than
- 19:19Speaker 1: the agreement is four. He says, that is true. It
- 19:23Speaker 1: turns out my guy canceled. I wasn't aware of it
- 19:25Speaker 1: until I found out that there were roaches. And then
- 19:28Speaker 1: I looked back and I realized that no one had
- 19:29Speaker 1: come out. So I once I found out, I admit, Yes,
- 19:33Speaker 1: it did not happen. It not happened in the last Yes,
- 19:36Speaker 1: he is two months late. You're losing your money money.
- 19:42Speaker 1: I rushed to get someone out there, but before they
- 19:47Speaker 1: could come out there, I went ahead and I went
- 19:48Speaker 1: to her place with some chemicals. I was going to
- 19:52Speaker 1: take care of this once I found out I had
- 19:53Speaker 1: rushed out there. She says, he didn't immediately do anything.
- 19:57Speaker 1: I messaged him many times that she's She shows the
- 20:01Speaker 1: text messages to Gino, showing hey, one day, hey I
- 20:06Speaker 1: got some cockroaches. You might coming out. Three days later,
- 20:09Speaker 1: Hey it's real nasty. Got out of here.
- 20:11Speaker 2: There's always something that makes him more less culpable.
- 20:14Speaker 1: Mark Levy says, I never got those texts. What I
- 20:17Speaker 1: did get was a formal complaint in writing. Once I
- 20:20Speaker 1: got that, I knew that there was a problem. But
- 20:23Speaker 1: we see the text. So he's basically claiming that these
- 20:26Speaker 1: text messages, these images are forged.
- 20:29Speaker 2: Wow, he's saying that their image like they've just been.
- 20:32Speaker 1: She says that he actually says, as you can see
- 20:34Speaker 1: these images, there's no like two person up there, Like
- 20:37Speaker 1: these are fake. Oh wow, he's not having a person
- 20:41Speaker 1: in the pic.
- 20:42Speaker 2: Then yeah, I feel like they got it.
- 20:44Speaker 1: So he says, I went over there and I noticed
- 20:47Speaker 1: that the place is a wreck. We do see some images.
- 20:50Speaker 1: One of the images is of a computer desk that
- 20:52Speaker 1: has like a lot of wires on it, and then
- 20:54Speaker 1: we see her kitchen. Does this have a lot of
- 20:58Speaker 1: pots and cups and stuff like that. I would say this.
- 21:01Speaker 1: I've seen a lot of wrecks in the doing the
- 21:04Speaker 1: show over the past, you know, five years. This is
- 21:07Speaker 1: like pretty standard single person living enough by themselves that
- 21:13Speaker 1: just like you know, occasionally things build up and I
- 21:17Speaker 1: must say, like, I live by myself. I'm not like
- 21:20Speaker 1: if you're not like overly, if you're not a clean freak.
- 21:23Speaker 1: I could see this happening easily. When I had my
- 21:26Speaker 1: own place, it was way worse. And she's she's said, uh,
- 21:32Speaker 1: And the reason why this matters is is also a
- 21:34Speaker 1: part of the contract that she has to keep the
- 21:36Speaker 1: place clean. So he says, she was not a contract
- 21:40Speaker 1: that you have to keep the apartment you're renting clean. Yes,
- 21:43Speaker 1: so not to attract pests. And it says not to
- 21:48Speaker 1: attract that's part of that's part of the contract. There
- 21:51Speaker 1: it is. And so she says, I actually usually keep
- 21:56Speaker 1: my place really clean. When these things started showing up,
- 21:59Speaker 1: it's messing up my entire life. And I eventually ended
- 22:02Speaker 1: up leaving altogether. But there was these roaches and was
- 22:04Speaker 1: messing up my life. I was, you know, blah blah blah.
- 22:07Speaker 1: Gino says, you released es say obviously that you need
- 22:10Speaker 1: to keep the place clean, and Beverley at this point
- 22:15Speaker 1: when he says hey, it says this in the least,
- 22:17Speaker 1: Beverly goes, I'm sorry, I can't hear you. Oh my gosh,
- 22:20Speaker 1: which was a great bit, but she was being honest
- 22:23Speaker 1: but also funny. Gino brings a doctrine as he has
- 22:27Speaker 1: ones to do, and he breaks down what the She
- 22:30Speaker 1: breaks down what the effects would be of having cockroach
- 22:32Speaker 1: an ear, says not super uncommon, which honestly that was
- 22:38Speaker 1: tough to hear. Uh did explain that occasionally they will
- 22:43Speaker 1: also lay eggs if you don't take care of it
- 22:45Speaker 1: soon enough. They then show the video of the roach
- 22:49Speaker 1: getting pulled out of the ear via tweezers, and I
- 22:52Speaker 1: have to be honest with you, that will live with
- 22:54Speaker 1: me for the rest of my life. She explains that
- 22:58Speaker 1: this would cause damage to the ear and sometimes can
- 23:01Speaker 1: leave to permanent lead to permanent loss, which is something
- 23:04Speaker 1: that Beverly is not sure of whether or not will happen.
- 23:07Speaker 1: It hasn't been long.
- 23:08Speaker 2: Anyone can contact Papa Roach for an interview.
- 23:11Speaker 1: Did not, and that's it. I'm as bummed as you
- 23:13Speaker 1: are because it feel like her life's been cutting to pieces. Yeah, well,
- 23:18Speaker 1: and I will say, justin know it's her last result.
- 23:20Speaker 1: That's right, this suit is this suit is her last resort.
- 23:23Speaker 1: It's suffocating her. There's no breathing. Gino asks how this
- 23:30Speaker 1: has affected her life, and she explains, well, one the
- 23:33Speaker 1: kids make fun of me. I have this big thing
- 23:36Speaker 1: onto my ear. Also, I can't afford these medical bills.
- 23:40Speaker 1: It's I'm having to take up tutoring after school. I'm
- 23:43Speaker 1: having to take on weekend classes. I'm having to Basically
- 23:45Speaker 1: my entire life is now working so they can get
- 23:48Speaker 1: extra money so that I can actually pay for these
- 23:50Speaker 1: medical bills. I have no life now. It is time
- 23:53Speaker 1: for the verdict.
- 23:55Speaker 2: So this is hard because I feel like the con
- 24:00Speaker 2: track stating that you have to keep the place clean
- 24:04Speaker 2: in order to avoid pest issues is.
- 24:07Speaker 1: A big deal.
- 24:07Speaker 2: I've not heard of that for a residential area like that.
- 24:10Speaker 1: Seems like that's interesting barely living at the end of
- 24:13Speaker 1: the day, though, the fact that he did not spray
- 24:17Speaker 1: every six months, in my opinion, Trump's that and I
- 24:21Speaker 1: do think he's at fault well over fifty percent. I'm
- 24:24Speaker 1: inclined to give her all the money, but just for
- 24:26Speaker 1: the fun of it, Let's say one fifty you know
- 24:28Speaker 1: the fifty one forty yes will Obviously you have to
- 24:31Speaker 1: prove that the person is fifty one percent or more
- 24:34Speaker 1: at fault in order to win the case. He explains
- 24:38Speaker 1: that as an owner of the establishment, you have to
- 24:40Speaker 1: respond reasonably to a claim like this. So while you
- 24:46Speaker 1: did come out personally, you had been having professionals come
- 24:51Speaker 1: out and doing it. Therefore, if you're going out personally,
- 24:53Speaker 1: it's unreasonable reasonable because it is outside of what you
- 24:57Speaker 1: had been doing. And if you had been doing what
- 25:00Speaker 1: you had been doing, than you wouldn't have had to
- 25:02Speaker 1: do that at all. So ibuh she He says, I
- 25:05Speaker 1: believe that you have proved that he is at fault,
- 25:08Speaker 1: giving her the entire one hundred and ninety thousand dollars.
- 25:12Speaker 1: She usually gets it wrong, but he got her.
- 25:13Speaker 2: I never thought we'd have a gabble where Ross gets
- 25:16Speaker 2: it wrong and Gino gets it right.
- 25:18Speaker 1: But here we are. What a day? What What a day? Indeed,
- 25:21Speaker 1: you're on the gable. What a day? Indeed we did everybody? Congratulations.
