Julie K. Brown Calls Out The USVI For Their Epstein Hypocrisy (Part 1) · The Epstein Chronicles

• 0:00
Speaker 1: What's up everyone and welcome back to the Epstein Chronicles.
• 0:05
Speaker 1: Julie K. Brown has a monstrous article out today that
• 0:10
Speaker 1: has to do with the U.S. Virgin Islands and their
• 0:13
Speaker 1: BS with Jeffrey Epstein. My only question is, what the
• 0:17
Speaker 1: hell took so long? We've known about this stuff for years.
• 0:20
Speaker 1: This is stuff that we have been talking about for years.
• 0:24
Speaker 1: So in this episode, let's continue that conversation. And to
• 0:27
Speaker 1: do that, we're going to use this massive article that
• 0:30
Speaker 1: Julie K. Brown just put out in the Miami Herald.
• 0:33
Speaker 1: And considering the size of the article, we're going to
• 0:36
Speaker 1: break this down into two parts. So let's just get busy. Headline, U.S.
• 0:41
Speaker 1: Virgin Islands cozied up to Jeffrey Epstein. Now they're profiting
• 0:45
Speaker 1: from his sex crimes. And the second that Denise George
• 0:48
Speaker 1: announced this whole lawsuit, this is exactly what I told you.
• 0:52
Speaker 1: That they were looking to secure a bag and they
• 0:55
Speaker 1: have no business being involved in the conversation when it
• 0:58
Speaker 1: comes to restitution, especially considering what happened on this island
• 1:02
Speaker 1: under all of their watch. But we should just forget
• 1:05
Speaker 1: about that. And everybody should just be on board with
• 1:08
Speaker 1: them getting all this money. Well, vafangul to that, I'm
• 1:12
Speaker 1: not on board with it at all. And the government
• 1:14
Speaker 1: of the U.S. Virgin Islands has about as much right
• 1:17
Speaker 1: to that money as you or I do. This article
• 1:21
Speaker 1: was authored by Julie K. Brown. For two decades, the U.S.
• 1:27
Speaker 1: Virgin Islands' most prominent government and elected officials, as well
• 1:31
Speaker 1: as their pet charities, educational institutions, and causes, were paid
• 1:36
Speaker 1: millions of dollars by Jeffrey Epstein in the form of salaries,
• 1:40
Speaker 1: campaign contributions, and consultant fees. His most trusted employee was
• 1:45
Speaker 1: the U.S. territory's First Lady. And again, for those of
• 1:49
Speaker 1: us who have been following along, we know all of this.
• 1:52
Speaker 1: But for the people who have just showed up to
• 1:54
Speaker 1: the party, I hate to break the news to you,
• 1:57
Speaker 1: but they were all in on it. That includes all
• 1:59
Speaker 1: of your faves, by the way. The Stacey Plaskets, you know,
• 2:03
Speaker 1: Miss Big Mouth, who was up there castigating other Americans
• 2:06
Speaker 1: during those committees. Well, she was taking money from Epstein.
• 2:10
Speaker 1: So what you're trying to tell me is that there
• 2:12
Speaker 1: was nobody else that could have sat on that committee
• 2:14
Speaker 1: but somebody who took all that money from Epstein and
• 2:16
Speaker 1: was obviously eating out of his trough? And it wasn't
• 2:19
Speaker 1: like it was private. It wasn't like it was some
• 2:22
Speaker 1: big secret. We all knew what was going on. The
• 2:24
Speaker 1: legacy media chose to omit that information from you. Now,
• 2:29
Speaker 1: for whatever reason, maybe it behooves them or they feel
• 2:32
Speaker 1: like it's not going to hurt them politically. So they're
• 2:35
Speaker 1: out here talking about it now. But remember, none of
• 2:38
Speaker 1: this is new. And the legacy media should have clued
• 2:41
Speaker 1: you into all of this years ago. His most trusted
• 2:45
Speaker 1: employee was the U.S. territory's first lady. At the same time,
• 2:50
Speaker 1: USVI authorities paid little mind to the young women and
• 2:54
Speaker 1: girls he shuttled through the St. Thomas Airport following his
• 2:58
Speaker 1: 2008 Palm Beach conviction for soliciting a minor for sex.
• 3:03
Speaker 1: Epstein's abuse of underage girls became so well publicized that
• 3:07
Speaker 1: his hideaway, an oasis built on a bluff overlooking the Caribbean,
• 3:12
Speaker 1: became known as Pedophile Island. For years, it was suspected
• 3:16
Speaker 1: that Epstein's palatial compound on his private island was being
• 3:20
Speaker 1: used as a place for wealthy and powerful people to
• 3:24
Speaker 1: commit sex crimes. Let that sink in for a minute.
• 3:27
Speaker 1: Everybody knew what was going on on that island. All
• 3:30
Speaker 1: the local politicians, all of your favorite elected officials, they
• 3:34
Speaker 1: all knew. Did any of them stop it? What about
• 3:37
Speaker 1: Bill Richardson? How about George Mitchell? He step up and
• 3:40
Speaker 1: stop it at all? No? What about Bill Clinton? No? Huh. Interesting.
• 3:44
Speaker 1: And you know what's absolutely disgusting? All the people that
• 3:48
Speaker 1: are out here still fawning over Bill Clinton. Everybody knows
• 3:52
Speaker 1: about his paddling around with Epstein. Everybody knows that he
• 3:54
Speaker 1: had Epstein over at the White House 17 times. But
• 3:58
Speaker 1: the legacy media refuses to dive deeper. They refuse to
• 4:01
Speaker 1: expose Bill Clinton and show the world the true depths
• 4:05
Speaker 1: of his relationship with Epstein. And the reason they won't
• 4:08
Speaker 1: do that? Well, they feel like it'll give political ground
• 4:12
Speaker 1: to the other side. God forbid one of our faves
• 4:15
Speaker 1: is accused. Just ask Nancy Pelosi's daughter. But I guess
• 4:19
Speaker 1: it's too much to ask for a little bit of
• 4:20
Speaker 1: accountability from people like Bill Clinton. At the very least,
• 4:24
Speaker 1: how about a real statement about what went down? Not
• 4:27
Speaker 1: that bullshit ass statement you put out in 2019 through
• 4:30
Speaker 1: your little buddy there, your communications director, who obviously lied
• 4:34
Speaker 1: to everybody. Oh, how do you know that? Well, his
• 4:37
Speaker 1: bullshit ass lies were exposed at the Glenn Maxwell trial.
• 4:40
Speaker 1: Will he ever be held accountable? Or is accountability only
• 4:44
Speaker 1: necessary for your political enemies? Now the same USVI government
• 4:49
Speaker 1: has turned a blind eye to Epstein's crimes, is filing
• 4:52
Speaker 1: lawsuits and reaping tens of millions of dollars from companies
• 4:56
Speaker 1: and individuals it claims enabled the serial sex trafficker. Epstein,
• 5:01
Speaker 1: a New York financier pedophile whose friends included leaders in
• 5:05
Speaker 1: the world of finance, government, and science, died in a
• 5:09
Speaker 1: New York prison cell in August 2019 after while awaiting
• 5:13
Speaker 1: trial on federal charges. His death was ruled a suicide
• 5:16
Speaker 1: by hanging. In the years since Epstein's death, a litany
• 5:20
Speaker 1: of federal lawsuits have been filed, targeting individuals, banks, and
• 5:25
Speaker 1: business executives in Epstein's circle who have been accused of
• 5:29
Speaker 1: facilitating or being complicit in his sex trafficking operation. At
• 5:34
Speaker 1: least 200 survivors have said he and his associates sexually
• 5:38
Speaker 1: abused them as girls or young women over two decades.
• 5:42
Speaker 1: And unfortunately, we know that that number is much higher
• 5:45
Speaker 1: than just 200. We're talking about literally in the thousands.
• 5:50
Speaker 1: This guy was active for what? Four decades? And according
• 5:54
Speaker 1: to his own words and the words of his associates,
• 5:57
Speaker 1: he had three girls coming over a day. So you
• 5:59
Speaker 1: do the math. As a result, about $ 500 million in
• 6:04
Speaker 1: legal settlements have been paid to Epstein's survivors, most of
• 6:08
Speaker 1: that from Epstein's estate, and from J.P. Morgan and Deutsche Bank,
• 6:12
Speaker 1: the two financial institutions where he conducted millions of dollars
• 6:16
Speaker 1: in financial transactions that should have raised red flags, red
• 6:21
Speaker 1: flags that were all ignored, and not just by J.P. Morgan,
• 6:25
Speaker 1: but by FinCEN, by the U.S. Virgin Islands, by everybody involved.
• 6:30
Speaker 1: Yet no single entity potentially stands to collect more money
• 6:34
Speaker 1: in the fallout from Epstein's crimes than the government of
• 6:38
Speaker 1: the U.S. Virgin Islands. Now, how is that acceptable to
• 6:41
Speaker 1: anybody out there? And this is what I've been talking
• 6:43
Speaker 1: about since the very beginning of this lawsuit. The fact
• 6:47
Speaker 1: that the U.S. Virgin Islands would attempt to set themselves
• 6:50
Speaker 1: up as some kind of victim here is some of
• 6:52
Speaker 1: the most bananas bullshit I have ever heard in my life.
• 6:56
Speaker 1: Every dollar of that estate should have been paid out
• 6:58
Speaker 1: in compensation to the women who were molested. I know,
• 7:02
Speaker 1: a novel idea, right? Thus far, the USVI has collected
• 7:06
Speaker 1: just shy of $ 200 million in Epstein-related settlements, most of
• 7:11
Speaker 1: it the result of a civil racketeering lawsuit its former
• 7:15
Speaker 1: attorney general filed against his estate. Now it's seeking another
• 7:19
Speaker 1: $ 190 million in an epic lawsuit filed against J.P. Morgan.
• 7:24
Speaker 1: The USVI and JP Morgan both claim the other ignored
• 7:28
Speaker 1: evidence of and even profited from Epstein's sex trafficking. But
• 7:33
Speaker 1: while much of the spotlight has been on the financial
• 7:36
Speaker 1: institutions that continue to do business with them, very little
• 7:40
Speaker 1: attention has been given to the role that the government
• 7:43
Speaker 1: of the USVI, a territory of the United States that
• 7:47
Speaker 1: has far-reaching law enforcement powers, played in helping one of
• 7:51
Speaker 1: the most notorious sex traffickers, in U.S. history. I mean,
• 7:55
Speaker 1: she says very little attention has been paid to it,
• 7:58
Speaker 1: and she's not wrong. I'm one of the only people
• 8:01
Speaker 1: that's been howling about this shit from the jump, and
• 8:04
Speaker 1: like usual, the rest of the legacy media and all
• 8:07
Speaker 1: the pretenders are playing catch-up. But for those of you
• 8:10
Speaker 1: who have been following the podcast and who have been
• 8:12
Speaker 1: listening for years, you know all of this, and you
• 8:15
Speaker 1: already know about this audacious plot by the U.S. Virgin
• 8:19
Speaker 1: Islands to pilfer all of this money. The USVI governor,
• 8:23
Speaker 1: Albert Bryan Jr., declined to comment on JP Morgan's allegations,
• 8:27
Speaker 1: but a spokeswoman for the territory's Department of Justice said
• 8:31
Speaker 1: that JP Morgan is the only party to this lawsuit
• 8:34
Speaker 1: that had intricate knowledge of Jeffrey Epstein's criminal operation. That's
• 8:39
Speaker 1: such BS. Sorry, I don't buy it. If I was
• 8:42
Speaker 1: a survivor, I'd be suing the US Virgin Islands. As
• 8:46
Speaker 1: sure as I'm going to be rooting for my miserable
• 8:49
Speaker 1: New York Jets tomorrow, I would be suing the Virgin Islands.
• 8:52
Speaker 1: The USVI Department of Justice spokeswoman, Venetia Velasquez, added, We
• 8:58
Speaker 1: see the lengths JPMorgan has gone to in order to
• 9:00
Speaker 1: dodge accountability and distract the public from the critical fact.
• 9:05
Speaker 1: It is extremely unfortunate that while JPMorgan continues to display
• 9:09
Speaker 1: considerable vigilance in attempting to shape its self-serving narrative and
• 9:13
Speaker 1: rebuild its reputation in the press, It showed no similar
• 9:17
Speaker 1: concern for protecting the lives of the young women and
• 9:20
Speaker 1: girls who were preyed upon. Well, neither did you. You
• 9:24
Speaker 1: were the one with subpoena power. You could have arrested people.
• 9:27
Speaker 1: You could have raided his property. What did you do?
• 9:30
Speaker 1: You took his money. That's what you did. So try
• 9:32
Speaker 1: and gaslight somebody else. Said J.P. Morgan in a statement.
• 9:38
Speaker 1: Rather than account for its own failure to investigate and
• 9:41
Speaker 1: monitor this criminal under its jurisdiction and to protect its
• 9:44
Speaker 1: citizens and sovereign interests, USVI blames the third party bank
• 9:49
Speaker 1: that did not have USVI's authority to enforce any law. Look,
• 9:53
Speaker 1: as much as I hate JP Morgan and the financial sector,
• 9:58
Speaker 1: they're not wrong. As scummy as they are, I expect
• 10:02
Speaker 1: it from them. I expect better from the USVI and
• 10:05
Speaker 1: their politicians. And it's my belief that if you're a
• 10:08
Speaker 1: public servant, you need to be held to the highest
• 10:11
Speaker 1: levels of integrity. And from my vantage point over here
• 10:15
Speaker 1: in the peanut gallery, it doesn't seem like there's very
• 10:18
Speaker 1: much integrity in taking money from a convicted sex offender.
• 10:22
Speaker 1: or trying to change your sex offender laws to better
• 10:26
Speaker 1: suit that sex offender, because he's giving you a bunch
• 10:29
Speaker 1: of dough. And no matter how you chop it, that's
• 10:31
Speaker 1: what was happening down in the USVI. They were all
• 10:35
Speaker 1: getting a bag, and because they were getting that bag,
• 10:38
Speaker 1: they were willing to get into bed with Jeffrey Epstein.
• 10:40
Speaker 1: And we see the results, okay? We see them. We
• 10:42
Speaker 1: see the lives that were ruined. But somehow the US
• 10:45
Speaker 1: Virgin Islands is getting $ 200 million? In the words of
• 10:49
Speaker 1: the venerable Junior Soprano, Go and shit in your hat.
• 10:52
Speaker 1: Say goodbye. In recent months, discovery from the federal civil
• 10:56
Speaker 1: lawsuit provides the strongest evidence to date of Epstein's influence
• 11:00
Speaker 1: in the USVI and his cozy relationship with three of
• 11:04
Speaker 1: the territory's governors, its former first lady, attorney generals, senators,
• 11:09
Speaker 1: leaders of its Economic Development Commission, the Virgin Islands Police,
• 11:14
Speaker 1: federal marshals, the Port Authority, and the territory's representative to Congress. Yeah,
• 11:20
Speaker 1: we're talking about you, Stacey Plaskett. Epstein gave free turkeys
• 11:24
Speaker 1: to 78 federal customs agents at the St. Thomas Airport
• 11:28
Speaker 1: for Thanksgiving. Yeah, so did El Chapo. So did Nino
• 11:31
Speaker 1: Brown in the movie New Jack City. So did Tony Soprano.
• 11:36
Speaker 1: You see where I'm going with all of this? It's
• 11:38
Speaker 1: called trying to win the hearts and minds when you're
• 11:40
Speaker 1: out here committing crime. And that's exactly what Epstein was
• 11:43
Speaker 1: doing on this island. At least since 2005, the FBI
• 11:48
Speaker 1: suspected that Epstein was trafficking girls and women to and
• 11:51
Speaker 1: from several of his residences, including his waterfront home in
• 11:56
Speaker 1: Palm Beach and his sprawling USVI estate. The island, surrounded
• 12:01
Speaker 1: by treacherous sea urchins, accessible only by helicopter or boat,
• 12:06
Speaker 1: provided a perfect cover for the sexual abuse that victims
• 12:09
Speaker 1: have long alleged happened there. And you know, it's so crazy.
• 12:13
Speaker 1: They talk about, oh, the evidence is now becoming available.
• 12:16
Speaker 1: The evidence has always been there. People have refused to
• 12:20
Speaker 1: look at it. People have refused to really process this information,
• 12:24
Speaker 1: this evidence, because the sorry ass legacy media has covered
• 12:29
Speaker 1: for these people from the very beginning. And honestly, I
• 12:32
Speaker 1: was blown away to see this article from Julie K. Brown.
• 12:36
Speaker 1: I mean, I guess better late than never, right? In 2020,
• 12:39
Speaker 1: Denise George, the USVI's then Attorney General, finally acknowledged what
• 12:46
Speaker 1: had been rumored for two decades. that Epstein's island was
• 12:49
Speaker 1: a nexus for his sex trafficking operation. George filed a
• 12:54
Speaker 1: racketeering lawsuit against Epstein's estate, alleging that he would transport
• 12:58
Speaker 1: girls there as young as 11 and 12, keeping a
• 13:02
Speaker 1: computerized database to track the girls' whereabouts. Several survivors have
• 13:07
Speaker 1: also said Epstein's assistants would seize their passports. We've heard
• 13:11
Speaker 1: that from many, many different girls. We've also heard about
• 13:15
Speaker 1: girls who have said that they were so distraught that
• 13:18
Speaker 1: they were thinking about swimming from the island back to
• 13:21
Speaker 1: the United States. Imagine what you must be going through, trauma-wise,
• 13:26
Speaker 1: to even have that pop up as a thought in
• 13:28
Speaker 1: your head. But it's all good because, you know, he
• 13:30
Speaker 1: handed out some turkeys and shit. The USVI government, in
• 13:35
Speaker 1: addition to the Department of the Homeland Security's U.S. Customs
• 13:39
Speaker 1: and Border Patrol... was responsible for monitoring Epstein's movements in
• 13:43
Speaker 1: the territory after his release from the Palm Beach County
• 13:46
Speaker 1: Jail in 2009. As part of a plea deal, Epstein
• 13:50
Speaker 1: served just 18 months in the county jail for procuring
• 13:54
Speaker 1: a minor for prostitution and felony solicitation and was required
• 13:59
Speaker 1: to register as a convicted sex offender. And do you
• 14:03
Speaker 1: need more evidence that Epstein was being protected by the government?
• 14:06
Speaker 1: Because I'll give you some right here. After he was
• 14:09
Speaker 1: convicted as a sex offender, the New York prosecutor's office,
• 14:13
Speaker 1: the Manhattan prosecutor's office, audaciously argued in court that Jeffrey
• 14:18
Speaker 1: Epstein should have only been a level one offender. Can
• 14:21
Speaker 1: you imagine? The government of New York, the prosecutor's office
• 14:25
Speaker 1: of New York making that argument. I mean, it shouldn't
• 14:28
Speaker 1: shock us really considering Cy Vance, who used to run
• 14:31
Speaker 1: that office, was an absolute tool. Preet Baraha, absolute tool.
• 14:35
Speaker 1: And all of them had a chance to take down
• 14:37
Speaker 1: Epstein and none of them did it. But to have
• 14:39
Speaker 1: the audacity to get up there and say that Jeffrey
• 14:42
Speaker 1: Epstein is not a level three offender is just beyond absurd.
• 14:47
Speaker 1: Epstein changed his primary residence to Little St. James, his
• 14:51
Speaker 1: 72-acre private resort that included a helipad, private dock, gas station,
• 14:57
Speaker 1: high-capacity water filtration, two swimming pools, four guest villas, three
• 15:01
Speaker 1: private beaches, a gym, and other buildings. This placed him
• 15:06
Speaker 1: under the territory's law enforcement jurisdiction and supervision. It's unclear
• 15:11
Speaker 1: how often he was required to register in person over
• 15:15
Speaker 1: the years, but USVI officials who gave statements for the
• 15:19
Speaker 1: JP Morgan lawsuit could find records of only five visits
• 15:23
Speaker 1: by the U.S. Marshals and the territory's officials between 2010
• 15:27
Speaker 1: and 2019, even though they also acknowledged that they should
• 15:33
Speaker 1: have been subjected to weekly checks by the Virgin Islands
• 15:36
Speaker 1: police and the federal marshals. Well, why would the police come?
• 15:40
Speaker 1: They got themselves some turkeys. How about the computers that
• 15:43
Speaker 1: he bought for the police and the U.S. Virgin Islands?
• 15:46
Speaker 1: Who's suing all of these people who's trying to get
• 15:48
Speaker 1: all this money? Well, they were the ones that were
• 15:51
Speaker 1: enabling Jeffrey Epstein. They were the ones that were looking
• 15:54
Speaker 1: the other way, and they were the ones that were profiting.
• 15:58
Speaker 1: And up until now, I feel like I've been the
• 16:00
Speaker 1: only one beating that drum. So it's nice to see
• 16:02
Speaker 1: Julie K. Brown come out swinging here. This is a
• 16:05
Speaker 1: very important part of what happened in the nexus of
• 16:08
Speaker 1: this story. And if we want to hold people accountable,
• 16:11
Speaker 1: we should start looking down in the U.S. Virgin Islands.
• 16:14
Speaker 1: But somehow it's been flipped around and now the U.S.
• 16:16
Speaker 1: Virgin Islands has been elevated to victimhood status. It is
• 16:21
Speaker 1: all straight up absurd. USVI officials also admit they took
• 16:25
Speaker 1: no steps to ensure that Epstein wasn't continuing to harm
• 16:28
Speaker 1: minors at a time when authorities in New York, where
• 16:32
Speaker 1: he owned what was reputed to be Manhattan's largest private residence,
• 16:36
Speaker 1: had classified him as a tier three sex offender, one
• 16:40
Speaker 1: that is at high risk of continuing to prey on
• 16:43
Speaker 1: young women and girls. That's because the court forced them
• 16:46
Speaker 1: to do it. It wasn't because Cy Vance or Preet
• 16:49
Speaker 1: Bharaha or any of the other clowns in the office
• 16:52
Speaker 1: wanted to do it. Their hand was forced. JP Morgan
• 16:56
Speaker 1: has filed hundreds of court exhibits, emails, and depositions in
• 17:00
Speaker 1: an effort to prove that there was a decade-long quid
• 17:03
Speaker 1: pro quo between Epstein and the USVI government. Epstein was rewarded,
• 17:08
Speaker 1: according to J.P. Morgan, for his largesse with $ 300 million
• 17:12
Speaker 1: in tax breaks that USVI authorities extended year after year.
• 17:18
Speaker 1: Even though audits showed he often fell short on the
• 17:21
Speaker 1: program's regulatory requirements. That's because people were profiting personally. Do
• 17:28
Speaker 1: you really think that anybody out here who we talk
• 17:31
Speaker 1: about is going to put people over profits? They are not.
• 17:35
Speaker 1: It's all about getting that bag. It's all about consolidating power.
• 17:39
Speaker 1: And if that means girls are getting traffic and these
• 17:41
Speaker 1: smarmy fuckbags are going to look the other way, well,
• 17:44
  Speaker 1: that's what's going to happen. J.P. Morgan's lawyer is described
• 17:48
Speaker 1: as office manager, former USVI First Lady Cecile de Jong
• 17:53
Speaker 1: as Epstein's primary conduit, assisting him in obtaining special benefits,
• 17:58
Speaker 1: including visas, to bring young girls from other countries to
• 18:01
Speaker 1: the island. And folks, they weren't bringing them there to
• 18:05
Speaker 1: check out the island and have a nice swim, okay?
• 18:08
Speaker 1: We all know what they were being brought there for,
• 18:10
Speaker 1: and we all know that Cecile de Jong and the
• 18:12
Speaker 1: rest of them knew what was up. Since at least 2000,
• 18:16
Speaker 1: including during the time her husband, John de Jong, was governor,
• 18:20
Speaker 1: Cecile de Jong worked for Epstein. Earning a $ 200, 000 annual salary,
• 18:25
Speaker 1: plus other perks, including private school and college, tuition, for
• 18:30
Speaker 1: the couple's children. Must be nice, huh? And do you think,
• 18:33
Speaker 1: with everything we know about Jeffrey Epstein, he was doing
• 18:36
Speaker 1: that out of the kindness of his heart? Or was
• 18:38
Speaker 1: he expecting a little something-something on the flip side? We
• 18:42
Speaker 1: all know the answer to that. John DeJong declined to
• 18:45
Speaker 1: comment for this story. The Miami Herald was unsuccessful in
• 18:49
Speaker 1: reaching his wife. They have not spoken publicly about the
• 18:53
Speaker 1: allegations contained in the lawsuit or about their relationship with Epstein. Well,
• 18:58
Speaker 1: why would they? They're never going to be held accountable.
• 19:02
Speaker 1: They're never going to be held responsible for being bribed, basically,
• 19:06
Speaker 1: by Epstein to turn the other cheek and let these
• 19:09
Speaker 1: girls get molested on this island. But in a May
• 19:12
Speaker 1: court deposition, Cecile Dijon testified she had no reason to
• 19:16
Speaker 1: suspect that Epstein was doing anything other than being helpful
• 19:20
Speaker 1: to young women. Well, besides his previous sex offender prosecution,
• 19:26
Speaker 1: that might, you know, clue you in, Cecile Dijon, that
• 19:28
Speaker 1: he's an absolute piece of shit, that he's out here
• 19:31
Speaker 1: hurting women. But nah, he's a mentor. He's just out
• 19:34
Speaker 1: here mentoring young women. They truly think that you're all stupid.
• 19:38
Speaker 1: That's what it comes down to. They think that everybody
• 19:40
Speaker 1: out there is dumb as fuck and they're all going
• 19:42
Speaker 1: to buy the bullshit that they're serving. Well, breaking news,
• 19:47
Speaker 1: I'm guessing that nobody listening to this podcast is buying
• 19:50
Speaker 1: your bullshit. This is a person who had one offense,
• 19:55
Speaker 1: had to register as a sex offender, didn't see him
• 19:57
Speaker 1: with anybody underage or anything, and I'm thinking he is
• 20:01
Speaker 1: just trying to be helpful to people, she said during
• 20:03
Speaker 1: the deposition. Talk about straight up brazen lying under oath.
• 20:08
Speaker 1: because that's what she's doing right here. She's lying under oath. Now,
• 20:13
Speaker 1: are you going to ever be able to nail her
• 20:14
Speaker 1: for contempt? Probably not. But there's no doubt she knew
• 20:18
Speaker 1: exactly what Epstein was. She knew what he was up to,
• 20:21
Speaker 1: and she was helping to try to manipulate the sex
• 20:24
Speaker 1: offender laws in his favor. So her old BS, nonsensical,
• 20:29
Speaker 1: bulljunk deposition should be thrown out. She also said she
• 20:33
Speaker 1: confronted Epstein about the 2008 sentence for soliciting a minor
• 20:37
Speaker 1: for prostitution in Florida. I basically asked him what was
• 20:41
Speaker 1: going on. What the hell was going on? And he said, I,
• 20:45
Speaker 1: it was an error in judgment. And I said, so
• 20:48
Speaker 1: that's it? You approach somebody who you thought was older?
• 20:51
Speaker 1: And he said, yes. And you just accepted that? You
• 20:54
Speaker 1: were just like, all right, well, I asked him. I
• 20:56
Speaker 1: did my due diligence, so it's all good. Let's hook
• 20:59
Speaker 1: him up with all kinds of contracts. He should get
• 21:01
Speaker 1: all kinds of tax breaks now because, you know, he
• 21:04
Speaker 1: made a mistake. She recalled that he assured her it
• 21:08
Speaker 1: would never happen again. I learned my lesson, she said
• 21:12
Speaker 1: he told her. The First Lady's role, however, went far
• 21:15
Speaker 1: deeper than being an office manager, according to the lawsuit.
• 21:20
Speaker 1: She told him who to hire and who to fire.
• 21:22
Speaker 1: She helped him navigate the island's political landscape. She told
• 21:26
Speaker 1: Epstein where to spend his money. And according to the lawsuit,
• 21:29
Speaker 1: she helped him get visas to freely transport women to
• 21:32
Speaker 1: the island. All right, folks, we're going to wrap up
• 21:35
Speaker 1: episode one right there, and we're going to pick up
• 21:38
