Transcript
- 0:00SPEAKER_01: Hey guys, welcome to Housewives Goss and Glitter.
- 0:02SPEAKER_01: Ashley and I are back in person for the first time in probably six months.
- 0:08SPEAKER_01: Almost maybe three or it's been at least three, I think.
- 0:12SPEAKER_00: That's upsetting.
- 0:14SPEAKER_00: I know.
- 0:14SPEAKER_01: Let's not, yeah, we won't get into that, but we're here with our co-host Charetto.
- 0:18SPEAKER_01: Well, that made it sound like it was something bad.
- 0:20SPEAKER_01: No, not like a virtually because we're not housewives.
- 0:23SPEAKER_01: We just have very busy schedules and live an hour and a half apart.
- 0:28SPEAKER_01: But anyway, we're back in person.
- 0:30SPEAKER_01: Yes.
- 0:30SPEAKER_01: And we are doing season 20, Real Housewives of Orange County, episode three.
- 0:35SPEAKER_01: Yes.
- 0:36SPEAKER_01: And we definitely didn't look at the title or the write-up, but that's okay.
- 0:40SPEAKER_01: No, but yeah.
- 0:42SPEAKER_01: But I thought this was another really kind of mediocre episode.
- 0:46SPEAKER_01: Or snore.
- 0:47SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 0:48SPEAKER_00: It's just coming off of Rhode Island, the drama is they just keep talking about past conversations.
- 0:55SPEAKER_00: Like they're talking about prior talks.
- 0:57SPEAKER_01: Yeah, we don't need what happened 20 seasons ago.
- 1:01SPEAKER_00: Yeah, they're like, let's just keep talking about things that mean things that Tamra said over the years.
- 1:06SPEAKER_00: I'm like, I'm not really thinking any of this is that exciting.
- 1:10SPEAKER_01: I guess they didn't really think that they were going to get a lot of new viewers, maybe, and that it would be the viewers who have been watching for years, but I feel like most people dive in and out of shows.
- 1:22SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 1:22SPEAKER_01: I can't say that I've watched the entire season of anything, especially reality TV.
- 1:29SPEAKER_00: I've watched um Salt Lake City all the way through.
- 1:34SPEAKER_00: And the only reason why I didn't haven't watched Jersey all the way through is I was basically on the second to last season and I was finding the whole Teresa Lewy thing like fucking insufferable and I couldn't watch it anymore.
- 1:47SPEAKER_00: But I was like pretty close to seeing that all the way through.
- 1:50SPEAKER_00: Vander Pump Rules, I have seen all the way through.
- 1:54SPEAKER_00: I've done and it was good.
- 1:56SPEAKER_01: A bunch of competition shows all the way through.
- 1:59SPEAKER_01: Like I've done Top Chef.
- 2:01SPEAKER_01: I've started stuff at like season one.
- 2:03SPEAKER_01: Like I went through, like I think I started Top Chef at season 18, and then I watched the 18 seasons before that.
- 2:11SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 2:12SPEAKER_01: But competition shows are a lot easier to watch 20 seasons of than something where you have to follow along on 20 years worth of stories.
- 2:20SPEAKER_01: Like apparently we have to do for Tamra.
- 2:22SPEAKER_00: We need to do for Tamara and Vicky and Shannon and the Trey's Amigas.
- 2:27SPEAKER_01: Yeah, it's getting a lot.
- 2:28SPEAKER_01: But anyway, so we started Tamra's house and Sophia is moving out, and of course, being a 20-year-old, she is not packed or finished packing.
- 2:38SPEAKER_01: Right.
- 2:39SPEAKER_01: And she has like uh we get like an insight to Tamra who's apparently been raising kids for 40 years.
- 2:47SPEAKER_01: I didn't realize that she had like a 40-year-old kid.
- 2:51SPEAKER_01: That's wild.
- 2:52SPEAKER_01: I know.
- 2:52SPEAKER_01: So she was saying that she has to renurture her relationship with her husband, and that's why she brought up like the Woodstock sex.
- 3:00SPEAKER_00: Yeah, she now that they have an empty nest, she wants to start having Woodstock sex and orgies.
- 3:06SPEAKER_00: Yes.
- 3:07SPEAKER_00: And I was like, wow.
- 3:08SPEAKER_01: I know that we're gonna go in for a bang.
- 3:11SPEAKER_00: We were on Shakespeare on the Common last night, and we were we like they did a Midsummer Night's Dream, and there was definitely like a whole scene where they were like alluding to the fairies having like an orgy with this mortal guy, and it was like really funny.
- 3:27SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 3:28SPEAKER_01: Yeah, I know I think I read the play in high school, probably around the same time as like Macbeth.
- 3:35SPEAKER_01: I really enjoyed Macbeth.
- 3:36SPEAKER_01: I don't remember if I liked Midsummer's Dream.
- 3:40SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 3:41SPEAKER_01: But anyway, so then we go to Emily and she is seeing Shannon's chiropractor, Dr.
- 3:49SPEAKER_01: Tim.
- 3:50SPEAKER_01: Dr.
- 3:50SPEAKER_01: Tim.
- 3:51SPEAKER_01: And all I get from this is stretching in pain.
- 3:55SPEAKER_00: He's like cracking Shannon's neck while his huge fluffy husky is like standing by, like watching.
- 4:03SPEAKER_00: Like he's like, she's like laying there and he's like twisting her neck around and like cracking like her upper back and like doing all this stuff.
- 4:13SPEAKER_00: And then the husky is just sitting next to the bench that she's laying on watching, and it's like this giant fluffy husky named Luna.
- 4:20SPEAKER_00: And I thought that was hilarious.
- 4:22SPEAKER_01: The whole office area, gym area, PT area was like giving me anxiety.
- 4:28SPEAKER_01: It was all in one room.
- 4:30SPEAKER_01: Yeah, like everyone was everywhere.
- 4:31SPEAKER_01: There was pictures of Buddhas, and at first I'm like, are they fucking doing Tai Chi?
- 4:36SPEAKER_01: Like, I don't understand.
- 4:38SPEAKER_00: No, he was definitely a chiropractor.
- 4:40SPEAKER_00: That's how they introduced him anyway.
- 4:42SPEAKER_01: Yeah, and then Vicky ends up calling Emily, and she wants no, she ends up calling Tamara.
- 4:51SPEAKER_01: No, Shannon.
- 4:52SPEAKER_01: Oh my god, hot mess.
- 4:54SPEAKER_00: Three glasses of proseco.
- 4:55SPEAKER_00: Yeah, three glasses of prosecco.
- 4:57unknown: Oops.
- 4:58SPEAKER_00: Yeah, so Emily is with Shannon at Dr.
- 5:01SPEAKER_00: Tim's, and while they're there transitioning to the workout, Vicky calls and wants the Trey's Amigas to have some sort of reunion.
- 5:13SPEAKER_00: And Shannon is very skeptical because of what happened on the Ultimate Girls trip when Tamara called her a drunk and broke, and that she has no man, which is really harsh.
- 5:24SPEAKER_01: It is really harsh.
- 5:26SPEAKER_01: And then to add it to, then Emily brings up what Tamara apparently said at her birthday about her only getting invited to iHeart Radio things now that she's off of Tamra's feed.
- 5:39SPEAKER_00: Yeah, and Tamra was like, I've been blocking you from being from being invited to the parties, but now you can start coming.
- 5:45SPEAKER_01: Yeah, and then she's like, What?
- 5:47SPEAKER_01: And I'm sure Tamra sort of meant it as a joke or as a backhand.
- 5:52SPEAKER_01: I can't get a read.
- 5:53SPEAKER_01: I am so confused.
- 5:54SPEAKER_00: Yeah, like I don't know if she's just like largely unaware or if she is trying to like actually make a dig.
- 6:01SPEAKER_01: Yeah, I have no clue.
- 6:03SPEAKER_00: It's very strange.
- 6:04SPEAKER_00: I mean, that like comment, like, oh, now you can start like coming to the parties.
- 6:08SPEAKER_00: I won't tell them not to invite you.
- 6:09SPEAKER_00: I could kind of see that being a joke.
- 6:11SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 6:12SPEAKER_01: But I almost felt like it was a weird con.
- 6:14SPEAKER_00: But it's like, have you been doing that?
- 6:16SPEAKER_00: Because it you probably have.
- 6:17SPEAKER_01: Yeah, exactly.
- 6:18SPEAKER_01: Have you?
- 6:19SPEAKER_01: Most likely.
- 6:20SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 6:20SPEAKER_01: I don't know.
- 6:21SPEAKER_01: And then we go to Sophia's apartment, and I love the green velvet couch.
- 6:25SPEAKER_01: Do you love Helen?
- 6:26SPEAKER_01: I don't know how I feel about Helen.
- 6:28SPEAKER_01: I think someone spent a little bit too much time at the vintage store.
- 6:32SPEAKER_00: Okay, so Helen is this circular, like old-timey portrait hanging above the bed.
- 6:39SPEAKER_00: And Sophia says she's been talking to like Helen's ghost.
- 6:43SPEAKER_01: Yeah, and that that's how she knows what Helen's name, and that her dad was a jewelry maker.
- 6:48SPEAKER_01: And Tamra just goes, Okay, that's weird.
- 6:51SPEAKER_01: You're scaring me.
- 6:51SPEAKER_01: And then it cuts scene, and then you just see a picture of Helen.
- 6:55SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 6:56SPEAKER_00: I mean, the picture is a little creepy.
- 6:59SPEAKER_00: It's a little creepy.
- 7:00SPEAKER_00: It is a little creepy.
- 7:01SPEAKER_00: It's she's wearing like an all-black dress and it's like colonial kind of, and it's just like it's just a random woman.
- 7:08SPEAKER_00: It is.
- 7:09SPEAKER_00: Like, I know she's saying Helen told her this, but where did she find Helen to begin with?
- 7:15SPEAKER_01: Uh, probably Sabres.
- 7:17SPEAKER_01: Or a vintage antique store, vintage market.
- 7:20SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 7:20SPEAKER_01: They definitely have stuff like that at Salem Flea.
- 7:23SPEAKER_00: It's funny that Tamara's daughter is so like non-Orange County.
- 7:28SPEAKER_01: I know.
- 7:28SPEAKER_01: It is kind of funny.
- 7:29SPEAKER_01: But that whole like vintage recycling, upcycling thing is becoming way more popular now.
- 7:36SPEAKER_01: So yeah.
- 7:37SPEAKER_01: I could see it.
- 7:38SPEAKER_01: But like, and they all like oddities.
- 7:40SPEAKER_01: Like Charlotte's obsessed with oddities.
- 7:43SPEAKER_00: There is a curiosity and oddities shop in Salem.
- 7:47SPEAKER_00: It's pretty cool.
- 7:49SPEAKER_00: It which one is it?
- 7:50SPEAKER_00: The one on the corner.
- 7:52SPEAKER_00: Oh, okay.
- 7:52SPEAKER_00: Next to the barber shop.
- 7:54SPEAKER_01: Oh, yeah, that one is interesting.
- 7:55SPEAKER_01: I like Salem Flea.
- 7:57SPEAKER_01: Have you been to Salem Flea yet?
- 7:58SPEAKER_01: No.
- 7:58SPEAKER_01: Oh, it's by the dispensary.
- 8:00SPEAKER_00: No, I do like weird stuff.
- 8:01SPEAKER_00: I like that weird comic shop because I got the Power Ranger helmet there, and they also have the sword for sale, but it's the red Power Ranger sword, not the pink.
- 8:10SPEAKER_00: And he told me he would look for the pink.
- 8:13SPEAKER_00: So we'll see.
- 8:14SPEAKER_01: Harrison's is really cool.
- 8:15SPEAKER_01: You know that you get a discount on comic books if you buy like enough of them and you can sign up for a monthly subscription and they give you a discount.
- 8:21SPEAKER_00: Sean would probably do that.
- 8:22SPEAKER_00: He also likes all the because they have a bunch.
- 8:25SPEAKER_00: If you go downstairs, they have all the Pokemon cards.
- 8:27SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 8:28SPEAKER_01: So Slater would go for all his comic books, and he can't find a store similar to that on the South Shore, and it makes him sad.
- 8:34SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 8:34SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 8:35SPEAKER_01: So anyway, big time sidetrack.
- 8:38SPEAKER_01: Okay, yes.
- 8:39SPEAKER_01: And so Tamara is talking to Sophia about meeting with Vicky and Shannon, possibly for lunch.
- 8:49SPEAKER_01: And she is basically like, she needs to have boundaries if she goes into this, and she is really worried about it.
- 8:56SPEAKER_01: Right.
- 8:57SPEAKER_01: And Sophia's like, you need to just say that that we both said things that we didn't mean.
- 9:01SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 9:02SPEAKER_01: And apologize.
- 9:03SPEAKER_01: Maybe not apologize, because Tamara apparently never apologizes, but right.
- 9:09SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 9:09SPEAKER_01: I don't know.
- 9:11SPEAKER_01: It was like a I feel like that's an awkward conversation to have with like your 20-year-old daughter.
- 9:16SPEAKER_00: Yep.
- 9:16SPEAKER_00: They Teresa does this with Gia all the time, and this is why Gia gets involved in the housewives fights.
- 9:22SPEAKER_00: But Sophia doesn't seem to be like that.
- 9:24SPEAKER_00: No.
- 9:25SPEAKER_00: No.
- 9:26SPEAKER_00: Um, okay, this next scene I found really awkward because Jen and her current husband are having this like really serious conversation.
- 9:36SPEAKER_00: Her fiance.
- 9:37SPEAKER_02: Mm-hmm.
- 9:38SPEAKER_00: Okay, they're having this really serious conversation about like the divorce and the problems with their kids in like a wind chime shop.
- 9:45SPEAKER_00: And I'm like, Yeah, why are you having this convo at a wind chime shop?
- 9:49SPEAKER_01: I don't know.
- 9:50SPEAKER_01: Maybe because it was like relaxing.
- 9:52SPEAKER_01: I have no idea.
- 9:53SPEAKER_01: It was very strange.
- 9:55SPEAKER_00: Such a straight, like they're talking and like it's getting really intense, and there's all these like bejeweled wind chimes hanging around their heads.
- 10:04SPEAKER_00: And I'm like, what is the vibe here?
- 10:06SPEAKER_00: Like, this is not good energy for the wind chime shop.
- 10:10SPEAKER_01: No, and then not even the good, then it just like it takes a dip.
- 10:14SPEAKER_01: Like he says, she asks what his daughter's doing.
- 10:18SPEAKER_01: He says what her daughter what his daughter's doing.
- 10:20SPEAKER_01: And then she goes into Grayson and beating himself up over a ticket, and then they have this huge fight about he's how he says it's really about Grayson not having a relationship with his dad.
- 10:32SPEAKER_01: Right.
- 10:33SPEAKER_01: And then Jen saying that's like a thing he feels, not that she feels.
- 10:37SPEAKER_00: I guess I just don't understand why, just because they're divorced, he needs to be like, I feel like if there was something going on with the dad, like a reason why the kids can't see him, they would have just said they would have just alluded to that.
- 10:54SPEAKER_00: But it just sounds like they just don't he they just aren't going there.
- 10:59SPEAKER_00: And I'm like, why just because they got a divorce, why is it like 100% custody they don't go visit their dad?
- 11:06SPEAKER_00: Like, why?
- 11:07SPEAKER_01: So I tried Google Ant on one of the commercial breaks while we were watching, and I guess it was a really messy divorce because she was emotionally cheating on her husband Will with her now fiance.
- 11:20SPEAKER_01: Okay is everyone emotionally cheating, yeah.
- 11:22SPEAKER_01: Vicky like this is not even a term you even hear half the time, and now we've had it twice in three episodes.
- 11:29SPEAKER_00: Okay, so pa so what is your definition of emotional cheating?
- 11:34SPEAKER_01: I guess if like you're really dependent on an enough on another person to get those emotional needs, like it's the first person that you go to for like all your wins, all your losses, all your heartache, and you're kind of neglecting your spouse, and you're not treating them as the friend that they should be.
- 11:53SPEAKER_01: And then maybe like you're developing like I mean, you could be developing feelings, but like not doing anything physically.
- 12:02SPEAKER_01: What do you think?
- 12:03SPEAKER_00: I feel like, yeah, you're treating them like you're confiding in them like you normally would your spouse, who you don't anymore, and you're basically confiding in them for everything, and you're basically doing everything except physical.
- 12:16SPEAKER_02: Mm-hmm.
- 12:16SPEAKER_01: That's how I like you have this whole like relationship, you have this whole friendship with them, but yeah, a friendship that's like at this point has probably bypassed the friendship I was gonna say emotionally.
- 12:27SPEAKER_01: So yeah, like it would just mean that.
- 12:29SPEAKER_01: So I don't know.
- 12:30SPEAKER_01: Anyway, that's why I ran online and it says there was a messy divorce and apparently religious differences, and he didn't like her on the show.
- 12:38SPEAKER_00: I that's what the thing is, I suspect that this has to do with the show.
- 12:42SPEAKER_00: I just don't understand why the kids can't just go visit him, though.
- 12:47SPEAKER_00: I don't know.
- 12:48SPEAKER_00: Does he live in the of this have to do that's what I'm like wondering because it's like what the hell does any of that have to do with the kids?
- 12:54SPEAKER_00: Like, why can't they go visit their dad if they want to do that?
- 12:57SPEAKER_00: There's he's like the son is 17 years old.
- 13:00SPEAKER_00: Like, I imagine if he wants to he's obviously driving a car because he has a speeding ticket for 105 miles an hour.
- 13:06SPEAKER_00: Why can't he visit his dad?
- 13:07SPEAKER_00: Like, what's going on?
- 13:08SPEAKER_00: I have no idea.
- 13:09SPEAKER_01: I feel like I need to spend way more time than a commercial break, like looking it up.
- 13:13SPEAKER_00: I just get like I just don't she's getting so emotional about the fact that she's sad that she's a divorced woman.
- 13:22SPEAKER_00: She had this emotional affair, not that she regrets her current fiance, but like she knows that that was really hard.
- 13:29SPEAKER_00: And I'm like, yeah, I get that, but what does that have to do with the kids' relationship with the dad?
- 13:34SPEAKER_00: Nothing.
- 13:35SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I don't know.
- 13:36SPEAKER_00: And I feel like this is like the Carmela thing.
- 13:38SPEAKER_00: Like the dad doesn't talk to the kids.
- 13:41SPEAKER_00: And I'm like, I get that there was some sort of cheating, but what the hell does that have to do with the kids?
- 13:47SPEAKER_01: Carmela, if the kids want to see him, they can go see him, or like if they need someone to pick them up, one of them will pick them up.
- 13:53SPEAKER_01: But they only live like he lives in San Diego, she lives in Orange County, which is why I'm conflicted on like I don't understand not conflicted, but I don't understand why Jen and Will don't have anything with their kids.
- 14:07SPEAKER_00: Who's the other housewife that has the kids that this is the same where they don't see the dad on Orange County?
- 14:13SPEAKER_00: There's another housewife that this is the exact same thing is happening.
- 14:17SPEAKER_00: Was it Shannon?
- 14:19SPEAKER_00: I don't know.
- 14:20SPEAKER_01: Because the only because Vicky's son is 40.
- 14:23SPEAKER_01: And yeah.
- 14:24SPEAKER_01: Shannon, and Emily has her two younger kids.
- 14:28SPEAKER_00: It's not Emily.
- 14:30SPEAKER_01: No, yeah.
- 14:31SPEAKER_01: It's not Heather.
- 14:32SPEAKER_01: Did you just think Carmela's kids weren't?
- 14:34SPEAKER_01: I think they spend more time with Carmela, but remember how her kid how Jax wasn't at practice, and so she called her ex.
- 14:42SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 14:43SPEAKER_01: So Okay, maybe I am thinking of her then.
- 14:46SPEAKER_01: I don't know.
- 14:46SPEAKER_01: So anyway, down the rabbit hole on that.
- 14:48SPEAKER_01: Definitely need to know and if you guys have any advice on what is happening, we want to hear it.
- 14:53SPEAKER_01: Um, but then we go straight to Heather, and it says under the subtitles, Peculiar Music, and she's just at the refrigerator eating pickles, talking to Emily.
- 15:03SPEAKER_00: She has like three big pickles on a plate, and I'm like horrified.
- 15:07SPEAKER_00: Three big deal pickles, yeah.
- 15:09SPEAKER_00: I like pickles.
- 15:10SPEAKER_00: I don't.
- 15:11SPEAKER_00: They're disgusting, they smell disgusting.
- 15:13SPEAKER_00: Um, yeah, no, that was like what the hell kind of snack is us.
- 15:18SPEAKER_01: I don't know.
- 15:18SPEAKER_01: I definitely have pickles in the fridge right now.
- 15:23SPEAKER_00: That is horrible.
- 15:24SPEAKER_00: Do you remember they used to have them in barrels at the grocery store when we were growing up?
- 15:28SPEAKER_01: Yeah, you can get them at the deli.
- 15:30SPEAKER_00: It's horrific.
- 15:32SPEAKER_01: You mean you don't go buy the ones in like the big individual packages?
- 15:36SPEAKER_00: We don't have pickles at home.
- 15:37SPEAKER_01: You have I meant like if you go to the grocery store, you can buy them in like big individual packages in like the cold deli department next to like the pasta salad.
- 15:46SPEAKER_01: No?
- 15:47SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 15:47SPEAKER_01: Anyway.
- 15:48SPEAKER_01: Heather is talking to Emily about the conversation that they had at the about Jen's conversation that they had at her birthday.
- 15:59SPEAKER_00: There's not a lot of Heather in this episode.
- 16:01SPEAKER_01: I know I think wasn't that like the only Heather?
- 16:04SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 16:04SPEAKER_01: I think was this one scene.
- 16:06SPEAKER_01: And she just thinks that her and Jen have different opinions and that like their friendship works different ways, apparently.
- 16:15SPEAKER_00: Right.
- 16:16SPEAKER_00: And also she's talking to when she's talking about Jen, she brings up this historical comment that happened at the reunion.
- 16:25SPEAKER_00: And I still don't so the historical comment happened at the reunion originally, and then it happened then somebody referenced it again at the Valentine's Day party.
- 16:34SPEAKER_01: Yeah, so Tamara referenced it at the Valentine's Day party.
- 16:37SPEAKER_01: Okay, but it looks like it was originally brought up by Jen at a reunion.
- 16:42SPEAKER_00: Why is everybody mad that Jen said that Tamara's a historical friend?
- 16:46SPEAKER_00: Like, what does that mean?
- 16:48SPEAKER_01: I have no idea.
- 16:50SPEAKER_00: This is what I mean about the difference in fighting between Orange County and Rhode Island because that comment to me is so even if it was a dig, it's so like minor.
- 16:59SPEAKER_00: Like, I'm like, why is everybody fired up?
- 17:01SPEAKER_01: And then like that last two seconds, and then we switch over to Emily talking about how Jen brought Carmela to her birthday.
- 17:10SPEAKER_01: Right.
- 17:11SPEAKER_01: And then talks about the gift that she got from Carmella, and Carmella gifted her a gold uh Dior clutch, but then put a vibrator in it.
- 17:23SPEAKER_00: Yeah, why didn't she just stop with the clutch?
- 17:27SPEAKER_01: I don't know.
- 17:28SPEAKER_01: I don't understand.
- 17:29SPEAKER_00: Because I was like, oh, that was a nice gift.
- 17:31SPEAKER_01: Mm-hmm.
- 17:32SPEAKER_01: But then we go to Carmela, and she says that basically she can judge a person's sense of humor, and it seemed like Emily would think it was funny, and but either way, just say thank you.
- 17:43SPEAKER_01: Right.
- 17:43SPEAKER_01: And I'm like, but if you've only met someone once and like you give them a gag gift of a vibrator and a Dior clutch, like, yay, thank you for the Dior clutch.
- 17:53SPEAKER_01: I didn't need you gifting me a vibrator.
- 17:56SPEAKER_01: Yeah, it is a little weird.
- 17:58SPEAKER_01: It is weird.
- 17:59SPEAKER_01: And then Emily kept saying that she kept asking her to open her gifts, but I think she wanted her to pull the dill uh the vibrator out in front of everyone.
- 18:07SPEAKER_00: And some people don't do not open their gifts at birthday parties because they don't want like reaction, like if they don't like something, then their reaction won't be also it can take a long time.
- 18:20SPEAKER_01: And so if you're only at like something like a drag brunch that's an hour and a half, two hours, that's a big chunk of ch time where everyone's trying to look at you, but you're at a show.
- 18:29SPEAKER_01: Mm-hmm.
- 18:30SPEAKER_01: So that I can understand too, but still a really awkward first.
- 18:35SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I think Carmilla is definitely trying to like make her mark on the show.
- 18:41SPEAKER_00: I agree, and she's like trying different tactics to do that.
- 18:44SPEAKER_01: Yep, I definitely agree.
- 18:46SPEAKER_01: Yeah, and then from there though, we cut over to a breakfast at a Mexican restaurant or a brunch, and it's Gina, Vicky, and Jen.
- 18:58SPEAKER_01: And Vicki's tweed outfit that everyone was dressed like a weird one.
- 19:02SPEAKER_00: Everyone was dressed horrendously in the scene.
- 19:05SPEAKER_00: Like, this was terrible fashion just all around.
- 19:08SPEAKER_00: Like, first of all, Vicky, yes, her tweed suit was like a 1980s like businesswoman outfit because it was like a skirt suit, and it's like you're in Orange County, first of all.
- 19:20SPEAKER_01: But she said she was giving a seminar.
- 19:22SPEAKER_01: It was a heavy tweed.
- 19:23SPEAKER_01: Yeah, I like this is the thing.
- 19:25SPEAKER_01: Everyone is dressed like it's like full-blown winter and it's orange county.
- 19:29SPEAKER_00: Like business winter in New York in like 1985.
- 19:34SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 19:34SPEAKER_00: Because Gina was the same thing.
- 19:35SPEAKER_00: She was wearing a suit jacket.
- 19:38SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I don't even want to call it a blazer.
- 19:40SPEAKER_00: It was like a suit jacket, like a big suit jacket with shoulder pads and a pink tie.
- 19:45SPEAKER_00: Yeah, and Vicki asked her if she was going to school.
- 19:48SPEAKER_00: It looked horrible.
- 19:49SPEAKER_00: And then like um Jen had on a black and white striped turtleneck.
- 19:55SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 19:55SPEAKER_01: I'm like, what are these outfits in Orange County?
- 19:58SPEAKER_01: It was very weird, but Vicky had like a blazer over a blazer.
- 20:02SPEAKER_01: I'm sure it was like a Pico over a blazer, but it was still a little bit more.
- 20:06SPEAKER_00: Yeah, she had yeah, yeah.
- 20:08SPEAKER_00: It was still a lot, and I didn't understand, but Gina's was like a crime.
- 20:12SPEAKER_00: Gina's was so bad.
- 20:13SPEAKER_00: I don't, yeah, she keeps wearing these big shoulder pads, and I don't understand.
- 20:18SPEAKER_01: Her hair is not right for it.
- 20:21SPEAKER_01: It may because then her hair is so straight and long, and then she has big shoulders, and so it just makes her makes her look like she has a small head, like she's one of the guys at a Beetlejuice.
- 20:30SPEAKER_00: I was gonna say, like those Halloween costumes where the person has like the tiny head and the big body.
- 20:38SPEAKER_00: Um, yeah, that is what it looks like.
- 20:40SPEAKER_00: I couldn't put my finger on it, but that is what it looks like.
- 20:42SPEAKER_00: And then like they're at a Mexican restaurant and like nobody is ordering a margarita.
- 20:47SPEAKER_00: I don't care that it's the morning.
- 20:48SPEAKER_00: Like you're going out with the girls for some sort of brunch.
- 20:53SPEAKER_00: Like, where can you trone flavored with coconut?
- 20:56SPEAKER_00: No, like I'll have a hot water, and I'm like, why?
- 20:59SPEAKER_00: Why?
- 21:00SPEAKER_01: Like, no, you were at a Mexican restaurant, get some oh, it's like a fucking bloody Mary or a mimosa.
- 21:06SPEAKER_00: I literally, I'm so confused by these choices, just all around.
- 21:10SPEAKER_00: It's odd.
- 21:11SPEAKER_00: It's yeah, yeah.
- 21:13SPEAKER_01: So yeah.
- 21:14SPEAKER_01: Anyway, they start talking about real things.
- 21:17SPEAKER_01: So Vicki has just come from teaching a seminar on retirement and finances, and so Gina starts asking Vicky's opinion on a prenup.
- 21:26SPEAKER_00: Right.
- 21:27SPEAKER_00: And then Vicki says that she and Michael are not commingling their money.
- 21:32SPEAKER_00: So Vicky is definitely a career woman, very financially savvy.
- 21:38SPEAKER_00: Obviously, Gina kind of feels awkward about asking her fiance for the prenup, but it sounds like she's gonna go through with it, and Vicki's really proud of her.
- 21:48SPEAKER_00: And then they get into this whole conversation about how, like, Vicky, like Michael has not actually proposed to Vicky.
- 21:55SPEAKER_00: He's just dangling the ring in front of her.
- 21:57SPEAKER_01: I think Jen is so offended by that.
- 22:00SPEAKER_01: So offended.
- 22:01SPEAKER_00: I just we were talking about this earlier, but like, yeah, I guess I don't think he should be saying he has a ring if he's not planning to propose anytime soon.
- 22:09SPEAKER_00: Like that's kind of weird because it's like, why are you telling her that?
- 22:12SPEAKER_00: It kind of ruins the surprise.
- 22:13SPEAKER_00: But like, if I were in my 60s, I wouldn't remarry.
- 22:17SPEAKER_00: I would just like have the boyfriend.
- 22:19SPEAKER_00: I would not go through the marriage again.
- 22:21SPEAKER_01: Yeah, but wouldn't you at least want the like we said, you'd want the ring.
- 22:24SPEAKER_00: I'd be fine.
- 22:25SPEAKER_00: Yeah, if you wanted to buy me like diamond jewelry, and if he wants to buy me a diamond ring, that's fine.
- 22:29SPEAKER_00: But I would not go through like a whole other wedding at 64.
- 22:32SPEAKER_01: I feel like I would if I'd been like a million years, but Vicki's also been married twice already, right?
- 22:37SPEAKER_01: I don't know if she married that guy that pretended he was dying.
- 22:39SPEAKER_01: We really need to watch.
- 22:41SPEAKER_01: We do.
- 22:41SPEAKER_01: We do.
- 22:42SPEAKER_01: But yeah, Jen was like, if he's dingly in front, but at the same time, if you're expecting a certain level of commitment and someone says that they have a ring, I understand where the frustration comes from.
- 22:51SPEAKER_01: It's just funny that it's coming from Jen and not Vicky.
- 22:54SPEAKER_00: Yeah, Jen's like super offended, and Vicki like doesn't seem to care.
- 22:58SPEAKER_00: Well, also, Vicky kind of seems like she might still be into Don or Danny, the ex.
- 23:05SPEAKER_00: Yeah, who not yeah, I don't know.
- 23:07SPEAKER_00: I'm very confused about that too.
- 23:08SPEAKER_00: How she held his face and said, I'm so sorry for divorcing you while Michael was standing in the background.
- 23:14SPEAKER_01: Yeah, but she had her emotional affair with someone.
- 23:18SPEAKER_01: The guy who was dying, wasn't really dying.
- 23:21SPEAKER_01: Right, right, right.
- 23:22SPEAKER_01: Again, the emotional affair.
- 23:23SPEAKER_01: It's an orange county thing.
- 23:25SPEAKER_01: Mm-hmm.
- 23:26SPEAKER_00: Okay, then we're at Carmela's house.
- 23:28SPEAKER_00: Okay, so speaking of the head to body ratio, like Carmela is like, it's not that she has a big head.
- 23:37SPEAKER_00: I think it's just like she has a super tiny body.
- 23:40SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 23:40SPEAKER_00: And I've been trying to figure out like what it's like.
- 23:43SPEAKER_00: Her head just seems so pronounced, especially because she wears so much like makeup.
- 23:47SPEAKER_00: She wears a little makeup.
- 23:49SPEAKER_01: And I think that I'm sorry to say this, but their hairlines are so far back.
- 23:54SPEAKER_01: The daughters.
- 23:55SPEAKER_01: Yeah, and I think Carmela's is like further in front than theirs, but I feel like it does nothing to make her face look smaller.
- 24:04SPEAKER_01: Does that make sense?
- 24:05SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 24:05SPEAKER_01: And then she has very big lips.
- 24:07SPEAKER_00: I don't get yes, she does.
- 24:09SPEAKER_00: Obviously, they're fake.
- 24:11SPEAKER_00: All the women look like, except for Vicki, look like they have and maybe Tamara.
- 24:16SPEAKER_01: I think Vicky looks like she has a lot.
- 24:18SPEAKER_01: Tamara probably I think looks the le the most natural.
- 24:21SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 24:22SPEAKER_00: Uh I think Vicki looks the most natural.
- 24:25SPEAKER_01: I don't know.
- 24:26SPEAKER_00: I just feel like Emily and Jen have huge lips.
- 24:29SPEAKER_00: Oh, Heather maybe looks.
- 24:31SPEAKER_01: Yeah, Heather, but she she has married Terry DuBrow.
- 24:34SPEAKER_01: So that would make sense.
- 24:35SPEAKER_00: Yeah, she's definitely doing it the subtle way, which she looks really good.
- 24:40SPEAKER_00: Um, Shannon has the bigger lips, but Jen and Emily have like huge lips.
- 24:48SPEAKER_00: Yeah, but what are we talking about?
- 24:51SPEAKER_00: We're talking about Carmella.
- 24:52SPEAKER_00: Oh, Carmella has huge lips too.
- 24:54SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I don't know why the daughter's hairlines look like that.
- 24:57SPEAKER_01: I think it's I think it's the way they weigh their hair because they weigh their hair like so far in front of their face, like a very 90s like style.
- 25:05SPEAKER_01: Like I'm just waiting for them to pull the little pieces in the front.
- 25:08SPEAKER_01: Oh, I used to do that every day.
- 25:10SPEAKER_01: And so I feel like that's what they're doing, but instead they're bringing like all their hair to the front instead of just like the little pieces.
- 25:17SPEAKER_01: But why is that making it look like they have a receding hairline?
- 25:20SPEAKER_01: I think it's just because like normally people push it back, and so because they do it, you can see their widow's peak.
- 25:27SPEAKER_00: Interesting.
- 25:27SPEAKER_01: Uh, but anyway, yeah.
- 25:29SPEAKER_01: So we did that.
- 25:30SPEAKER_01: But my big thing was the fact that Carmela looks like she never left the Playboy mansion.
- 25:34SPEAKER_01: Her house is ridiculous looking.
- 25:37SPEAKER_00: It is.
- 25:38SPEAKER_00: And like, what does this cheating boyfriend do for a living?
- 25:43SPEAKER_00: I don't know.
- 25:44SPEAKER_01: I don't know.
- 25:44SPEAKER_01: And we like I understand that her ex- or her ex-husband, who's not really her ex-husband, was a football player, but I'm like, I think this is the boyfriend's house.
- 25:54SPEAKER_01: There's just I feel yeah, but then she has another house that we see later on.
- 25:58SPEAKER_01: There's just a lot of money floating around, and I'm very interested.
- 26:01SPEAKER_00: I think that this relationship that she's in now, to me, it's coming across as very transactional.
- 26:09SPEAKER_01: Yeah, that would make sense.
- 26:11SPEAKER_01: But then she's there lit like telling her daughter not to let the guy who's like old enough to buy cough drops buy her cough drops.
- 26:18SPEAKER_00: That's why I was like rolling my eyes, and she's like equating it to her time at the Playboy Mansion, and I'm like, okay.
- 26:25SPEAKER_01: Yeah, and then this is like really weird with her daughters because she went so firmly, like in the last episode, where like she wants them to like have rules, but like not be as strict as her parents, but one of her daughters is just straight up not going to school because she had to go tanning and then catch up on her shows, yeah.
- 26:44SPEAKER_01: And I'm like, you're like 15.
- 26:46SPEAKER_00: I don't I just don't get like the I'm school optional thing.
- 26:52SPEAKER_00: Like when we were in high school, like you did not pass if you missed too many days.
- 26:58SPEAKER_01: Yeah, I had a so my senior year, I had a calendar in my locker because you can miss nine of every class.
- 27:06SPEAKER_00: Yeah, you can only miss exactly.
- 27:08SPEAKER_00: There's like a certain amount of days or classes that you can miss.
- 27:11SPEAKER_00: And I'm just like, why is this?
- 27:13SPEAKER_01: So I had a calendar in my locker, and I would mark off what classes I would skip to go to 7-Eleven, or like what days we skipped to like drive off Cape.
- 27:26SPEAKER_01: So we had to like keep track of like what classes so we wouldn't hit the over nine.
- 27:33SPEAKER_00: We used to go to TGI Friday.
- 27:35SPEAKER_00: The only class that I did skip was AP French, and I actually was like, I was a straight A student, but AP French was just I don't even know why.
- 27:45SPEAKER_00: I was still doing really well, and that was just the class that we decided to skip because the teacher was really strict, and so we would always go to TGI Friday.
- 27:51SPEAKER_00: We would only do it on Fridays, and we go to TJI Fridays.
- 27:54SPEAKER_00: Oh, and then I went out on one date with a waiter from TGI Fridays who was like cheating on his girlfriend.
- 28:02SPEAKER_00: What?
- 28:03SPEAKER_00: I mean, nothing happened with us.
- 28:04SPEAKER_00: We literally just like went to dinner, but he had like a girlfriend like the entire time.
- 28:10SPEAKER_00: He went to high school with us.
- 28:12SPEAKER_00: He did?
- 28:13SPEAKER_00: Yes.
- 28:14SPEAKER_01: Um I'm like embarrassed, but he's in your grade.
- 28:18SPEAKER_00: And then like years later, he like messaged me to be like, oh, I really like those pictures of you on Halloween in your bunny costume.
- 28:26SPEAKER_01: Ew.
- 28:27SPEAKER_01: Now I really need to know who it is.
- 28:29SPEAKER_01: So after this, it's embarrassing.
- 28:32SPEAKER_00: The most embarrassing part about it is he had his name tattooed on his forearms.
- 28:38SPEAKER_00: Was it his initials?
- 28:40SPEAKER_00: What are the initials?
- 28:41SPEAKER_00: MS.
- 28:42SPEAKER_01: No.
- 28:42SPEAKER_01: Um, who's that?
- 28:44SPEAKER_01: Oh, there was someone that was in my grave with his initials tattooed on his arm.
- 28:49SPEAKER_00: No.
- 28:50SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 28:51SPEAKER_00: No, this was like his name.
- 28:52SPEAKER_00: Like his name tattooed down.
- 28:55SPEAKER_00: Isn't that lame?
- 28:56SPEAKER_01: Like his whole name or his last name?
- 28:59SPEAKER_00: I think his whole I definitely his last name, but I want to say his whole name.
- 29:04SPEAKER_00: Huh.
- 29:04SPEAKER_00: And also when he took me out to dinner, he took me to TGI Fridays.
- 29:08SPEAKER_00: Because he got a discount.
- 29:10SPEAKER_00: This is embarrassing.
- 29:11SPEAKER_00: I forget how old I was.
- 29:13SPEAKER_00: I think this was no, this was senior year.
- 29:17SPEAKER_00: This is an embarrassing story.
- 29:19SPEAKER_01: So he had already graduated by the time you went on your date.
- 29:22SPEAKER_00: Oh, he was too old to be asking me out on a date, yes.
- 29:25SPEAKER_00: Hey, you wasn't like how much older we're how old are you?
- 29:28SPEAKER_00: I'm only three years older than you.
- 29:30SPEAKER_00: Yeah, so he was oh, so he was okay.
- 29:36SPEAKER_00: Okay, never mind.
- 29:38SPEAKER_01: Anywho, we'll we'll think we literally only went to dinner.
- 29:42SPEAKER_00: That was it.
- 29:43SPEAKER_01: Anyway, we'll go, we'll rehash this after we're done recording.
- 29:46SPEAKER_01: But embarrassing.
- 29:48SPEAKER_00: Oh, the other part about that, sorry.
- 29:50SPEAKER_00: The other part about that is when he reached out to me again when I was in college.
- 29:55SPEAKER_00: Uh-huh.
- 29:57SPEAKER_00: I sort of like I like responded very shortly to his messages.
- 30:02SPEAKER_00: And I think I told him like I had a boyfriend or something.
- 30:04SPEAKER_00: Like I basically just like blew like cut it off really quickly, blew him off.
- 30:07SPEAKER_00: I go to his Facebook, he's dating that same fucking girl.
- 30:10SPEAKER_00: Still.
- 30:11SPEAKER_00: Ew.
- 30:12SPEAKER_00: Wow.
- 30:13SPEAKER_00: I'm like, this poor girl.
- 30:14SPEAKER_00: Like, I mean, I'm definitely not the type of person to get involved, but like, what are you doing?
- 30:20SPEAKER_01: That's weird.
- 30:21SPEAKER_01: I don't know.
- 30:22SPEAKER_01: We went to a I went there was a lot of weirdos in my grade.
- 30:25SPEAKER_01: Like, if I was to recap, yeah, like I can think of like three off the top of my head that like should have been in jail before they ended up in Chicago.
- 30:35SPEAKER_00: Like just thinking of one person in particular.
- 30:39SPEAKER_00: Um yeah, no, I think it's weird because for me, like, I'm not the type of person like I will give you no indication that you should be reaching out to me.
- 30:49SPEAKER_00: So it's not like I still remain nice to him and there was like a reason for him to like say hi to me years later.
- 30:55SPEAKER_00: Like, I'm like, if you like scorn me once, like I don't yeah, I will never speak to you again.
- 31:03SPEAKER_00: So like we never spoke after that time where like we were supposed to make plants and then he ended up telling me he had a girlfriend.
- 31:10SPEAKER_00: So like I just never spoke to him again, which is fine.
- 31:12SPEAKER_00: Like I can cut you off pretty easily if there's like no connection or like relationship.
- 31:16SPEAKER_00: And yeah, he's just it's like bold to just reach out randomly.
- 31:20SPEAKER_00: And he's still dating the same girl.
- 31:22SPEAKER_00: And I was like, what would make you think that I want to speak to you right now?
- 31:25SPEAKER_00: That's so weird.
- 31:26SPEAKER_00: People wicked weird people are strange.
- 31:28SPEAKER_00: Yeah, he blew off our sledding date.
- 31:30SPEAKER_00: I'm like, I'm done with you.
- 31:32SPEAKER_01: Probably a good thing you didn't go sledding.
- 31:34SPEAKER_00: Probably wouldn't be like, first of all, I love sledding.
- 31:39SPEAKER_00: Kidding because he was like 20.
- 31:41SPEAKER_00: I'm not I'm just realizing now how old he probably was then.
- 31:44SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 31:45SPEAKER_01: Because if it was when if you 17.
- 31:49SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 31:50SPEAKER_01: So he would have been 20, probably.
- 31:52SPEAKER_00: I didn't connect the dots there.
- 31:55SPEAKER_00: I mean, I don't really think that that's that bad.
- 31:57SPEAKER_01: I don't think that's that bad.
- 31:59SPEAKER_01: No, I mean it's not like anything.
- 32:01SPEAKER_01: That's not true.
- 32:02SPEAKER_01: Yeah, because then if you like, I don't know, it makes more sense.
- 32:04SPEAKER_01: We literally were 21 and 24, but like 17 We literally only went to dinner.
- 32:09SPEAKER_00: Like, we didn't even like kiss, like it wasn't a thing, but anyway.
- 32:15SPEAKER_01: Back to the episode.
- 32:16SPEAKER_01: Then we go to Jen's house, and her little white fluffy dog is so fat and adorable, and I'm obsessed.
- 32:24SPEAKER_00: I'm obsessed with the big ginger golden retriever upstairs.
- 32:29SPEAKER_01: Forget the golden retriever.
- 32:30SPEAKER_01: I want the little teen.
- 32:32SPEAKER_01: I like little dogs.
- 32:33SPEAKER_00: I like all dogs.
- 32:35SPEAKER_01: But her little fat white chubby dog is so.
- 32:45SPEAKER_01: What are those like fluffy small ones?
- 32:48SPEAKER_01: Maltese?
- 32:49SPEAKER_01: Yeah, like part chihuahua maltese.
- 32:52SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 32:52SPEAKER_01: That's a funny mix.
- 32:55SPEAKER_01: But anyway, so then she invites Emily to go through her closet with her because apparently Ryan has like, he takes up the whole closet, and so she just has like so she's to get rid of her clothes.
- 33:09SPEAKER_01: You did you mean she's like, Ryan takes up the whole closet, so her stuff is just in the hallway closet, and she just has so much random stuff.
- 33:17SPEAKER_00: That is unacceptable.
- 33:18SPEAKER_00: Like, just totally unacceptable.
- 33:20SPEAKER_00: Also, they threw away a lot of good items.
- 33:22SPEAKER_00: She's like, Oh, I don't know what I was thinking with this, and it's like covered in beans and like rhinestones and feathers.
- 33:27SPEAKER_00: And I'm like, why are you whoa, don't throw that out.
- 33:30SPEAKER_01: If she doesn't have a place to wear it, then you don't throw pieces like that out.
- 33:34SPEAKER_00: They're putting it in like a trash bag.
- 33:35SPEAKER_00: Like, you don't do that.
- 33:37SPEAKER_00: Donate it.
- 33:38SPEAKER_00: There's no way that they're actually gonna throw it out.
- 33:40SPEAKER_00: You never you should always keep stuff like that.
- 33:42SPEAKER_00: Like, I don't know why we're throwing this out so that he can hang up his collection of black and floral t-shirts.
- 33:48SPEAKER_00: I I don't know.
- 33:49SPEAKER_00: That's absurd.
- 33:50SPEAKER_00: Like, put those in a drawer.
- 33:51SPEAKER_00: Oh my god.
- 33:52SPEAKER_01: Yeah, that's true.
- 33:53SPEAKER_01: You can steam them.
- 33:55SPEAKER_01: Then they go, then they go and have a really deep conversation while Emily is in this hot pink, shine, shiny short mini dress with a feather top, and they're talking about reconnecting with their kids.
- 34:08SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 34:10SPEAKER_01: And Emily is like, you have to do this, and Jen's like, but I'm just so tired.
- 34:14SPEAKER_01: And Emily is like, put your phone down and talk to your kid.
- 34:18SPEAKER_01: Like, go pick up your kid from practice and then talk to them.
- 34:22SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 34:22SPEAKER_01: And Jen's mind is like blown.
- 34:25SPEAKER_00: I get, yeah, I guess that was sort of like the conversation was meant to be deep, but to me, I was like, uh it was a lot deeper for Emily than Jen.
- 34:36SPEAKER_00: Yeah, like Jen seems like so surface level to me.
- 34:40SPEAKER_00: Like, I'm like, it's really blowing your mind that you need to like get off your phone and pay attention to your kids after a divorce.
- 34:48SPEAKER_00: Like, she acted like that was like such a big revelation.
- 34:52SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 34:52SPEAKER_00: And I'm like, I mean, if you're worried about your kids, talk to them.
- 34:56SPEAKER_01: And then Emily's on the verge of tears, and Jen's like, I guess you're right.
- 35:00SPEAKER_01: And I'm like, Yeah, okay.
- 35:02SPEAKER_00: This was like, this wasn't like that groundbreaking.
- 35:05SPEAKER_00: Yeah, but even like Emily, it was deeper for her, I guess, but even hers was kind of like okay.
- 35:11SPEAKER_00: Like she was like, Yeah, if I need to go to cheer practice and be there to watch her, I will.
- 35:17SPEAKER_00: And I'm like, okay.
- 35:19SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 35:20SPEAKER_00: Like these, I don't know.
- 35:22SPEAKER_00: It just, I don't know.
- 35:23SPEAKER_00: It just seemed like they just they do.
- 35:27SPEAKER_00: They they're coming across as very like desperate housewives like surface.
- 35:31SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 35:32SPEAKER_01: I think they're too, they're too uh, like we've said this before, too aware of the camera, so like they're afraid to say something.
- 35:41SPEAKER_01: Even when like Grayson was talking to Jen later on in this episode, like he seemed really reserved, and I'm not sure if the conversation that they were trying to have was actually had.
- 35:53SPEAKER_00: Yeah, no, I think that there's definitely more to these situations, but they're not giving us all the details because I'm like, there's no way you're crying about missing cheer practice, like there's something else going on here.
- 36:04SPEAKER_01: Yeah, something else is happening, but then we go to Tam Tamra and she's going to her friend Teddy's house, and I like how Teddy's like, I have champs and I have pediolite.
- 36:16SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 36:17SPEAKER_01: You and I would be friends.
- 36:18SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 36:19SPEAKER_01: Like, that sounds great.
- 36:20SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 36:21SPEAKER_01: But I don't know the full story between what happened to Teddy.
- 36:25SPEAKER_01: I know you were saying a little bit about it.
- 36:26SPEAKER_00: Teddy was diagnosed with cancer like the season before, but Teddy was on Real Housewives with Beverly Hills for like a stint.
- 36:34SPEAKER_00: She, when she was on Beverly Hills, she was like in her 30s.
- 36:38SPEAKER_00: So I think now she might be like early 40s, maybe like mid-40s, but she's like pretty young, like compared to some of the other ladies.
- 36:47SPEAKER_00: And yeah, she was diagnosed with cancer and she's like just in recovery.
- 36:52SPEAKER_00: And she and Tamara are friends, and they have their two T's in a pod podcast, which is really cute.
- 36:59SPEAKER_00: And I was listening when I was doing my long bike yesterday.
- 37:03SPEAKER_00: I was listening to their podcast because they recap a bunch of Bravo shows and they recap the Valley, and I'm watching The Valley, and it's really funny.
- 37:11SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 37:12SPEAKER_00: Yeah, and sometimes they have Dolores on.
- 37:14SPEAKER_00: Oh.
- 37:14SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 37:15SPEAKER_01: Did you hear that?
- 37:16SPEAKER_01: Liz was at the Real Housewives in New Jersey final party like episode.
- 37:22SPEAKER_01: No.
- 37:22SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 37:23SPEAKER_01: But probably because Dolores is on it.
- 37:25SPEAKER_01: Right.
- 37:26SPEAKER_01: So had to get her in.
- 37:28SPEAKER_01: But anyway, that was a little Rory tidbit.
- 37:32SPEAKER_01: Um, so yeah, that scene was really short.
- 37:34SPEAKER_01: This, I feel like all the scenes don't have a lot of depth.
- 37:36SPEAKER_01: There wasn't a lot here, yeah.
- 37:38SPEAKER_01: Yeah, because then we go to Gina and again with her giant fucking big shoulders.
- 37:43SPEAKER_00: This was another horrible.
- 37:45SPEAKER_00: Again, it's not a it looks like she's wearing her husband's suit jacket.
- 37:51SPEAKER_01: It's horrific.
- 37:53SPEAKER_01: And it was gray.
- 37:55SPEAKER_01: And then she has on a like short crop top and like high-waisted pants.
- 38:00SPEAKER_00: I just know.
- 38:01SPEAKER_01: She looked like she was going for like a selling sunset look because she was like coming from work.
- 38:08SPEAKER_00: She's like has the same issue as like Ashley on season one of Rhode Island.
- 38:13SPEAKER_00: Like, she's not getting her style.
- 38:15SPEAKER_00: She's like trying different things with her style and having some flop.
- 38:20SPEAKER_01: Yes.
- 38:20SPEAKER_01: So she goes to dinner with her fiance and she orders hot water and lemon.
- 38:25SPEAKER_01: Oh my god.
- 38:26SPEAKER_01: Which is just like so weird.
- 38:28SPEAKER_01: But then she asks her fiance, they bring up the prenup that she was talking to Vicky about, and she says at this point, a prenup is non-negotiable, but she really just wants to protect herself and her kids, which makes sense because she said it's just the assets that she has now.
- 38:42SPEAKER_01: It wouldn't be the assets after they're married.
- 38:45SPEAKER_01: So understandable.
- 38:46SPEAKER_01: And then they go back to the name change, and she mentions that she asked her son how he feels about it, and he doesn't care because they're still a family.
- 38:54SPEAKER_01: But her thing is if she changes her name, she'll have the same last name as her stepkids, but not her real kids.
- 39:01SPEAKER_00: I it sounded to me like the name thing and the prenup thing wasn't an issue for anybody and except for her.
- 39:09SPEAKER_00: Like she's just really overthinking it.
- 39:11SPEAKER_00: Yeah, because she said I'm gonna marry you regardless.
- 39:14SPEAKER_00: Yeah, he didn't have a problem with it.
- 39:16SPEAKER_00: So I think that she just needs to do what she knows is the right thing to do and stop trying to think about what everybody else's reaction is going to be.
- 39:26SPEAKER_00: Like if in her heart of hearts it really is just a matter of like she just wants the same last name as her kids, then don't change your name.
- 39:33SPEAKER_00: Yeah or wait till they're all like off and married and change your name.
- 39:36SPEAKER_00: Like, don't you don't have to overthink it because he's fine with it.
- 39:39SPEAKER_01: Yeah, exactly.
- 39:40SPEAKER_00: It doesn't need to be this emotionally draining.
- 39:44SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 39:45SPEAKER_01: So, but some people are just overthinkers.
- 39:48SPEAKER_01: She seems like she's one of them.
- 39:49SPEAKER_00: She's just trying to like please she's she's trying to like come up with a perfect solution, and there is no perfect solution.
- 39:56SPEAKER_00: You just have to make a decision.
- 39:57SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 39:57SPEAKER_00: And the prenup thing is like she knows that that's the right decision, she'll just move forward with it.
- 40:01SPEAKER_00: He's fine with it.
- 40:02SPEAKER_01: Mm-hmm.
- 40:03SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 40:03SPEAKER_00: So she says that.
- 40:04SPEAKER_01: And then we go to a bunch of like really random scenes, like Heather pulling out a moldy picture, like moldy pictures from her mom.
- 40:13SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 40:14SPEAKER_01: Like a photo album, Carmela at her second house vacuuming, Shannon giving drugs to her dog, and then we go to Jen, which you think is gonna be another short thing, and then it's this emotional conversation with Grayson.
- 40:27SPEAKER_01: This was so awkward, but it was so awkward because it felt like Jen was the one that needed the comforting, and there she was asking Grayson about his feelings, and then it turned into her feeling like a bad mom.
- 40:39SPEAKER_00: I didn't like this scene because I don't think he wants to be on camera.
- 40:44SPEAKER_00: I think he misses, I think that the bullying that he mentioned, I think is probably because of the show, and that's why she started crying because she feels guilty about it.
- 40:56SPEAKER_00: I think whatever happened with the divorce last season is probably, I don't know, kids are talking about it at school or something, but they didn't get too deep into anything, and it just made me feel like this has to do with filming.
- 41:08SPEAKER_00: I think the husband thing, the ex-husband thing definitely has to do with filming.
- 41:12SPEAKER_00: I suspect the school stuff has to do with filming, and I just think he looked really uncomfortable and he looked like he did not want to have this conversation on camera.
- 41:19SPEAKER_00: So that annoyed me.
- 41:21SPEAKER_00: And then it annoyed like it annoyed me, like, meaning on his side, like if he's uncomfortable, if there's if you really are worried about your kid, have that conversation off camera.
- 41:31SPEAKER_00: And then also, like, then she does, she makes it about her by crying, and then he has to comfort her.
- 41:37SPEAKER_00: And it's like he's the one going through the emotional turmoil here.
- 41:41SPEAKER_01: He's the one that's like, I'm being bullied, I feel bad about the ticket, I'm not handling the divorce well, like this really and then she's just like oh I don't see my dad, and then she just goes in and this like people aren't nice to you, and she starts crying.
- 41:55SPEAKER_01: My thing is she covers her face, like you she doesn't ever lift up her face to see the tears, and she's just like bawling into her hands, and then her son is like comforting her, and then her head is directly in his shoulder.
- 42:09SPEAKER_00: I'm just thinking to myself, like, I can't imagine telling like somebody that I was being bullied at school and I was having like a really hard time emotionally, and then they start crying.
- 42:20SPEAKER_01: Yeah, they start crying.
- 42:22SPEAKER_00: That's not why don't you try to give him some sort of guidance or advice?
- 42:25SPEAKER_01: I can understand if she was like tearing up and she's like, Oh my god, I feel like so bad for you, but she instantly turned it into like, oh my god, I'm a bad mom and this is my fault.
- 42:33SPEAKER_00: But that's gonna add more emotional stress to him.
- 42:35SPEAKER_00: Like he's already stressed out about how this is affecting him and what's going on at school, and now he has to worry about making his mom cry.
- 42:43SPEAKER_00: It's like that's not you're not helping.
- 42:45SPEAKER_00: Like she didn't she didn't say anything helpful during that whole conversation.
- 42:48SPEAKER_00: She just kept being like, Are you mad at me?
- 42:50SPEAKER_00: People aren't nice to you at school.
- 42:52SPEAKER_00: Like you're still upset about the divorce.
- 42:55SPEAKER_00: And it's like, yes, why are you just repeating things that he's telling you?
- 42:58SPEAKER_00: Like he's telling you this to like help him.
- 43:02SPEAKER_00: Like he needs to be in, I don't know, help him with a therapist or give him some advice, or I don't call your ex-husband and arrange a visit.
- 43:09SPEAKER_00: Like, I feel like there's so many things she could try to do.
- 43:13SPEAKER_01: So we and then it just ends, yeah, just ends, and then we're at the quiet woman with Vicky.
- 43:19SPEAKER_01: The quiet woman seems to be like the flagship of this show.
- 43:24SPEAKER_01: It does.
- 43:24SPEAKER_01: And then the owner has like this weird sign that says, like, if you're gonna have like drama or whatever, like don't throw plates, something like that.
- 43:31SPEAKER_01: And Vicki's like, Oh, does it have to do with me?
- 43:33SPEAKER_01: But guys, they have to get permission to film places.
- 43:36SPEAKER_00: This place, they've clearly been filming there for a while.
- 43:39SPEAKER_01: So they've been yeah, they've been filming there for a bit.
- 43:41SPEAKER_01: So, like, if the sign isn't is really at him, he know like towards them, sorry, then he knows what he's getting into.
- 43:48SPEAKER_01: Yeah, sorry, just saying.
- 43:49SPEAKER_01: So the Trey's amigas are gathering.
- 43:51SPEAKER_01: Yes, and Vicky goes and she gets to the table first, so that way she can sit in the middle.
- 43:57SPEAKER_01: And Tamara starts off camera.
- 44:00SPEAKER_01: They're next, and she tells Vicki what she wants to say.
- 44:04SPEAKER_00: And Vicki's like, how both start with an apology?
- 44:07SPEAKER_01: Yeah, and Vicki's like, you need to apologize.
- 44:08SPEAKER_01: And Tamra's like, I don't want to apologize.
- 44:10SPEAKER_01: This is what I'm gonna say.
- 44:11SPEAKER_00: And Vicki's like, I just love how Vicky said it to her.
- 44:16SPEAKER_00: Like, she listened to it and she was like, Okay, so I would add one more thing.
- 44:19SPEAKER_00: I would add an apology.
- 44:21SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 44:22SPEAKER_01: Also, why is everyone and then Shannon comes in and she's wearing a turtleneck?
- 44:25SPEAKER_01: Why is there so many turtlenecks?
- 44:27SPEAKER_00: Shannon looks like an off-duty nun.
- 44:29SPEAKER_00: She was wearing like the black dress with the thick straps and then the full turt white turtleneck underneath.
- 44:36SPEAKER_00: I was like, she looks like that.
- 44:38SPEAKER_00: There's a I just distinctly, you know the movie Sister Act?
- 44:42SPEAKER_00: That's a fucking great movie.
- 44:43SPEAKER_00: It is.
- 44:44SPEAKER_01: She looks like the little young nun.
- 44:47SPEAKER_00: And that's what she wore.
- 44:49SPEAKER_00: Yes, without the full habit.
- 44:50SPEAKER_00: That's like what she was wearing.
- 44:55SPEAKER_00: I'm like, why are we wearing this?
- 44:57SPEAKER_00: Oh my god, it's so intro.
- 45:00SPEAKER_00: Also, just about wardrobe, Vicky's confessional look.
- 45:04SPEAKER_00: I really love.
- 45:04SPEAKER_00: I love the pale blue.
- 45:06SPEAKER_00: Vicki looks, I really like Vicky.
- 45:08SPEAKER_01: Yeah, I like she's like, she's my favorite.
- 45:11SPEAKER_00: Oh my god.
- 45:11SPEAKER_00: She let's see how it goes from here.
- 45:14SPEAKER_00: About whooping it up forever is like hilarious.
- 45:17SPEAKER_00: It is funny.
- 45:18SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 45:18SPEAKER_00: And I do love how she judges everybody.
- 45:20SPEAKER_00: I'm not gonna lie.
- 45:21SPEAKER_00: She just kept like going in on Carmella.
- 45:24SPEAKER_00: She's just like openly like.
- 45:27SPEAKER_01: I need to see when Carmela and Vicki apparently have this fight.
- 45:30SPEAKER_00: I just don't know if I would go for the OG, like coming back.
- 45:37SPEAKER_01: Well, Carmela's obviously here to make a splash.
- 45:40SPEAKER_00: You can make a splash by being friends with Vicky, an unlikely pair.
- 45:43SPEAKER_00: That is a good one, too.
- 45:44SPEAKER_01: Well, she's making friends.
- 45:47SPEAKER_01: But she's making friends with Shannon.
- 45:49SPEAKER_00: I don't know if that's who I'd pair with.
- 45:52SPEAKER_01: Shannon seems But I I'm just saying, like, she's trying to get in with Shannon.
- 45:57SPEAKER_01: But she's trying to get in with Shannon, and Shannon's also been on the show for a zillion years.
- 46:02SPEAKER_00: I think Shannon and Tamara both have a lot of unpredictable traits so far.
- 46:11SPEAKER_00: And it seems like their past, they both have a lot of kind of moments that are kind of crazy.
- 46:17SPEAKER_00: So I feel like if I would want to befriend any of the Trey's Amigas, I think I'd be friends with Vicky.
- 46:21SPEAKER_00: She's just like silly.
- 46:23SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 46:24SPEAKER_00: She is limping a lot.
- 46:26SPEAKER_01: She is.
- 46:27SPEAKER_01: But Shannon can't even stand up, so who knows?
- 46:30SPEAKER_01: Yeah, exactly.
- 46:31SPEAKER_01: But Okay, anyway, what were we talking about?
- 46:33SPEAKER_01: Uh, we're at uh a quiet woman and we were talking about their turtle turtlenecks, but then Vicki goes to order and she orders an artichoke and bread.
- 46:44SPEAKER_01: Tamra wants bread, and then Vicki goes, just put it straight to their ass.
- 46:48SPEAKER_01: She orders an artichoke and stink salad.
- 46:50SPEAKER_01: Oh, okay.
- 46:51SPEAKER_01: Yeah, but then Tamara orders the bread, and Vicki goes, just stick it straight to our asses.
- 46:56SPEAKER_01: That's where it's gonna go.
- 46:57SPEAKER_01: And I was like, oh my god.
- 46:59SPEAKER_01: But anyway, so then you're just sitting there and it's like this wicked, awkward, quiet silence with like an artichoke in the middle of the table.
- 47:07SPEAKER_01: Vicki's artichoke.
- 47:08SPEAKER_01: Yeah, Vicki's artichoke.
- 47:09SPEAKER_01: And then Tamra is like, I'm thankful that Vicky put us together, and she does say that she's sorry.
- 47:17SPEAKER_01: And then Shannon starts off with, How do you think I feel?
- 47:21SPEAKER_01: You called me a drunk.
- 47:22SPEAKER_01: I have I don't ever I don't have a man and I'm broke.
- 47:26SPEAKER_01: And Tamara's like, well, how do you think I feel?
- 47:28SPEAKER_01: And then Vicki's like, you need to answer the question.
- 47:31SPEAKER_00: That is true though.
- 47:32SPEAKER_00: I don't like when people do that.
- 47:33SPEAKER_00: It's like I know that you have your side of things, but you can't like just not address something that somebody's saying and be like, Well, I also have a point.
- 47:41SPEAKER_00: It's like exactly it's never gonna resolve anything.
- 47:45SPEAKER_01: No, no, and so they Tamara does say that does say that she's sorry that that happened.
- 47:52SPEAKER_01: And Vicky did a good job mediating.
- 47:55SPEAKER_01: Yeah, she did, and but she was upset with Shannon's live about her or something.
- 48:01SPEAKER_00: Okay, so was the live Okay, like with the live and the book that she mentioned, How Not to Be a Miserable Cow, was that a book that she brought with her to Ultimate Girls Trip?
- 48:12SPEAKER_00: Is that what that was about?
- 48:14SPEAKER_01: I have no idea.
- 48:15SPEAKER_00: I think it was.
- 48:16SPEAKER_00: I think this was like when she said I agreed to film with you.
- 48:19SPEAKER_00: I think Ultimate Girls Trip was like Tamara coming back after whatever happened at the reunion, and maybe Shannon and Vicky were the only ones from the show that would film with her?
- 48:29SPEAKER_01: Is that okay, that would make sense.
- 48:32SPEAKER_01: I mean, maybe.
- 48:33SPEAKER_01: Maybe.
- 48:34SPEAKER_01: Yeah, and so that's how she got like that moment.
- 48:38SPEAKER_00: Yeah, and then she brought a book, How Not to Be a Miserable Cow, which is hilarious.
- 48:44SPEAKER_00: Yes.
- 48:45SPEAKER_01: But then Shannon brought up the Emily moment about how at Emily's birthday, Tamara said that Emily was now invited to the iHeartRadio things now.
- 48:59SPEAKER_01: And I'm like, how do we this is the one thing that I don't like about the housewives fights is that they're like, I'm mad at you for this, but you also did this to someone else.
- 49:09SPEAKER_01: So I'm mad about I'm mad about this at you now too.
- 49:13SPEAKER_01: I mean, it's not fucking business.
- 49:16SPEAKER_01: That's between them.
- 49:17SPEAKER_01: It's like the whole Heather Jen thing.
- 49:19SPEAKER_00: I think that like when the offense is super egregious, I think it's okay to bring up somebody's poor behavior towards another person, but this iHeartRadio thing is the pettiest, stupidest fight ever between Emily and Tamara.
- 49:33SPEAKER_00: I'm like, this is just dumb.
- 49:34SPEAKER_00: Like, I don't want to hear anything more about that.
- 49:38SPEAKER_00: It is.
- 49:39SPEAKER_00: Also, like I was listening to two teas in a pod, and there still is a bunch of legally brunette right underneath, like all intertwined with the show.
- 49:48SPEAKER_00: Like from not that long ago.
- 49:50SPEAKER_00: Huh.
- 49:50SPEAKER_00: Like recent episodes.
- 49:51SPEAKER_00: So I'm like, I have no idea.
- 49:54SPEAKER_00: It's like when you open up the feed, like you just have to scroll back a little bit and see those episodes.
- 50:00SPEAKER_00: I don't know, but it just doesn't seem like it's like that big.
- 50:03SPEAKER_01: Do you think it like went back and maybe it was like a break and now it's back under?
- 50:08SPEAKER_00: Maybe.
- 50:08SPEAKER_00: I don't it just doesn't seem like this was like a real like issue.
- 50:12SPEAKER_00: Yeah, for the show.
- 50:16SPEAKER_00: I don't know.
- 50:17SPEAKER_01: It could be that.
- 50:18SPEAKER_01: Kind of like Kelsey's whole boyfriend thing in Rory and how it was like anyway.
- 50:24SPEAKER_01: Then Tamara's like, all the people in this show hold on to everything like all the time, and they all just need to drop it.
- 50:32SPEAKER_01: But then Vicki goes to them and she's like, I don't have family like around here.
- 50:36SPEAKER_01: Like I love the both of you, and you are sacred to me.
- 50:38SPEAKER_01: And when at this age we can't take friendships for granted.
- 50:42SPEAKER_01: Mm-hmm.
- 50:43SPEAKER_01: And then they apologize, and then they're gonna be friends now.
- 50:51SPEAKER_01: Yes.
- 50:51SPEAKER_01: So, and that's how it is.
- 50:53SPEAKER_01: So they're back.
- 50:54SPEAKER_01: Yeah, they're back.
- 50:54SPEAKER_01: Vicky wants us three-way text chat.
- 50:57SPEAKER_01: Yeah, three-way text chat.
- 50:59SPEAKER_01: So I'm like basically a thread.
- 51:01SPEAKER_01: But anyway, kind of a lackluster thing.
- 51:03SPEAKER_01: I guess the biggest thing that we'll take away is that they're friends again, and we'll see really if they continue this friendship or if it ends up blowing up.
- 51:13SPEAKER_01: And I'm leaning towards blowing up.
- 51:15SPEAKER_01: That's what I'm leaning.
- 51:16SPEAKER_01: Me too.
- 51:17SPEAKER_01: Anyway, we want to thank you guys for joining us, and we will see you next time.
- 51:22SPEAKER_01: Well, we might have a little bit of a break as Ashley and I will both be in Spain for a month collectively.
- 51:28SPEAKER_01: We enjoy going over OC with you guys until the next time.
- 51:32SPEAKER_01: Bye.
- 51:32SPEAKER_01: Bye.
