- 0:06Speaker 1: Let's talk about a super investor today, and that would
- 0:09Speaker 1: be Kathy Wood and her anticipation of where the market's
- 0:12Speaker 1: going to go. I think you guys don't want to
- 0:14Speaker 1: missy one. My name is Smallbarre. Welcome back in the
- 0:15Speaker 1: tech path. Let's get rolling. I do want to thank
- 0:18Speaker 1: our sponsor, that's Coinbase, for you guys to get moving
- 0:20Speaker 1: into crypto market. Maybe you're a brand new to crypto
- 0:22Speaker 1: right now and you haven't even made your first trade
- 0:24Speaker 1: and you're thinking, oh, bitcoin's back over one hundred K.
- 0:27Speaker 1: Now is my time to enter into the market. Well
- 0:30Speaker 1: do it on coinbase. Just go over to coinbase dot com.
- 0:33Speaker 1: The future of money is here. It is the most
- 0:35Speaker 1: trusted place for people to buy and sell and use crypto.
- 0:38Speaker 1: So just use our link down below. It does help
- 0:40Speaker 1: us out and also gets you up to two hundred
- 0:43Speaker 1: bucks in crypto when you make your trade. So check
- 0:46Speaker 1: it out you guys get started. I want to lead
- 0:48Speaker 1: off with if you guys will remember this is the
- 0:51Speaker 1: robin Hood chart right now of where it was even
- 0:55Speaker 1: on the all time height, so it's nearing an all
- 0:57Speaker 1: time high of its overall life in the S and P.
- 1:02Speaker 1: A lot of things have been happening with robin Hood.
- 1:04Speaker 1: We've outlined many of these things, and of course Kathy
- 1:06Speaker 1: Wood is one of the key investors in Robinhood. If
- 1:09Speaker 1: you kind of look at the potential, here are we
- 1:12Speaker 1: maybe just in a very small move.
- 1:15Speaker 2: To the upside for Robinhood.
- 1:17Speaker 1: That's what a lot of people are anticipating is they
- 1:19Speaker 1: have energized their deposit mechanism, meaning now and this I
- 1:24Speaker 1: think is up till seventh where if you're depositing cryptos,
- 1:28Speaker 1: you're gonna be able to double that boost. So instead
- 1:31Speaker 1: of one percent, now you're getting a two percent yield.
- 1:33Speaker 1: So if you're an XRP holder, you could literally get
- 1:37Speaker 1: two percent on all your XRP right now just by
- 1:39Speaker 1: depositing in before July seven. Now that's not an ad
- 1:42Speaker 1: for robin Hood, but what it's pointing at is that
- 1:45Speaker 1: they're sucking out a lot of baseline assets into their business.
- 1:50Speaker 1: And I think this is something that you have to
- 1:52Speaker 1: pay attention to overall. If you look at Robinhood's performance
- 1:56Speaker 1: and let me kind of zoom in on this right here,
- 1:58Speaker 1: this is an example of data that was breaking down
- 2:02Speaker 1: robin Hood and Charles Swab since twenty twenty one now
- 2:05Speaker 1: twenty one. Remember a lot of things happened then, but
- 2:08Speaker 1: robin Hood was not necessarily gaining money. Charles Swab pretty
- 2:11Speaker 1: much holding steady, and then all of a sudden twenty
- 2:13Speaker 1: twenty four, robin Hood broke in and started moving. Schwab, though,
- 2:17Speaker 1: on the other hand, has been somewhat sideways. And if
- 2:20Speaker 1: you're not going up, is this just a precursor to
- 2:25Speaker 1: what could be the future of investing and that is
- 2:27Speaker 1: maybe something like robin Hood. Right now, Schwab is holding
- 2:31Speaker 1: at one hundred and sixty two billion, So you imagine
- 2:34Speaker 1: where robin Hood is right now around seventy billion, at
- 2:37Speaker 1: its current all time high. What could that look like
- 2:40Speaker 1: if it is in fact replacing some of the stalwarths
- 2:44Speaker 1: of Wall Street. And I think that's something that you
- 2:46Speaker 1: have to kind of follow along. One area that you
- 2:49Speaker 1: have to also consider is how some of the analysts
- 2:52Speaker 1: and including Kathy Wood, are responding to this stuff. I
- 2:56Speaker 1: want to play a clip for you because this is
- 2:57Speaker 1: where it shows a little bit more Kathy Wood is doing.
- 3:01Speaker 2: Take a look.
- 3:02Speaker 3: The number one super investor is Michael Burry. Kathy Wood
- 3:05Speaker 3: has really shot up the rankings and earlier in the
- 3:08Speaker 3: year she was quite low. She's like below the S
- 3:11Speaker 3: and P line. First, her biggest holding is the biggest
- 3:13Speaker 3: loser in her portfolio, and that's Tesla. But once we
- 3:16Speaker 3: get away from Tesla, she has made a lot of
- 3:19Speaker 3: money on Circle. It's made one hundred and thirty nine
- 3:21Speaker 3: percent rate of return, two hundred and eighty nine million
- 3:24Speaker 3: dollars go Kathy Wood. The second most profitable stock is
- 3:28Speaker 3: Roblocks up seventy seven percent. She really believes in that company.
- 3:32Speaker 3: It's made her two and one million dollars and good
- 3:36Speaker 3: for her.
- 3:37Speaker 1: So from that clip of first of all, it's Roadblocks,
- 3:39Speaker 1: not Roblocks. But point being is that when you look
- 3:43Speaker 1: at Kathy Wood's performance, this that particular video was looking
- 3:46Speaker 1: at a six to day, a six day performance. If
- 3:49Speaker 1: you look at where it is today, this of course
- 3:52Speaker 1: is guess who Michael Burry, who was just ahead of her,
- 3:55Speaker 1: and now with the S and P five hundred up
- 3:57Speaker 1: fifty percent again since told us to sell. Remember those
- 4:02Speaker 1: ominous statements from Michael Burry.
- 4:05Speaker 2: It's time. This is the end, this is the top.
- 4:07Speaker 1: That's the point that we're getting at. So this is
- 4:09Speaker 1: why I think you've got to start to pay attention
- 4:11Speaker 1: to Kathy Woods. She now has excelled past what could
- 4:14Speaker 1: be as the best investor right now on Wall Street,
- 4:18Speaker 1: and a lot of the moves are making a lot
- 4:20Speaker 1: more sense if you look at her trades of Tesla,
- 4:23Speaker 1: she's been selling Tesla mostly, but you also have to
- 4:26Speaker 1: look at her other moves.
- 4:27Speaker 2: Here, of course, is Circle.
- 4:28Speaker 1: Now she's selling Circle after this blowoff top whether Circle continues,
- 4:33Speaker 1: but it's a good move for her because she's taken
- 4:35Speaker 1: those profits and repositioning and balancing those into some other assets.
- 4:39Speaker 1: And then of course what is she going into. Well,
- 4:41Speaker 1: right now she's looking at Robinhood. There's two buys right there,
- 4:44Speaker 1: both on June twentieth and twenty third, and these are
- 4:48Speaker 1: increasing her position significantly. I mean this is going up
- 4:50Speaker 1: from like a six percent position to almost a nine
- 4:53Speaker 1: percent position. That's a big move in a portfolio like
- 4:56Speaker 1: what Arc is doing.
- 4:57Speaker 2: So a lot of key moves here for sure.
- 5:01Speaker 1: If you look at Coinbase also recent buys, so both
- 5:04Speaker 1: twenty third in two days right there. Again, position though
- 5:09Speaker 1: not necessarily that great because she had been selling off
- 5:11Speaker 1: a lot of that over time, but the point is
- 5:14Speaker 1: again moving into Coinbase.
- 5:16Speaker 2: Shopify bye bye bye.
- 5:19Speaker 1: And I think this is one that will continue to
- 5:22Speaker 1: position strongly. Granted again not a large position, but definitely one.
- 5:26Speaker 1: And I'll explain why this is important in a minute,
- 5:28Speaker 1: because there is a breakdown of a new S and
- 5:31Speaker 1: P top twenty five that may be very interesting, especially
- 5:37Speaker 1: around ethereum, and we'll talk about that. The other thing
- 5:40Speaker 1: you got to look at, of course is Block and
- 5:43Speaker 1: this is Square company that we thought was going to
- 5:46Speaker 1: be the Shopify but in fact was not. You know,
- 5:49Speaker 1: obviously they had a lot to do with bitcoin, missed
- 5:51Speaker 1: the boat there. Most of this has been sell positions
- 5:54Speaker 1: literally all year long since back in May. So positioning
- 5:58Speaker 1: out of xyz. Is this something that she is watching
- 6:03Speaker 1: right now? This event, which happens in just a couple
- 6:05Speaker 1: of days June thirtieth, is the one that everybody's been
- 6:08Speaker 1: waiting for. It's the one that Vlad has been promising.
- 6:10Speaker 1: So if he doesn't drop a major bomb on the market,
- 6:14Speaker 1: I would be very, very disappointed. And I'm kind of curious,
- 6:17Speaker 1: does maybe Kathy have a little bit of insider information
- 6:20Speaker 1: here about where is going to be done? Other things
- 6:23Speaker 1: to look at is what's going on right here because
- 6:26Speaker 1: you look at Robin Hood, see you at ECC in
- 6:29Speaker 1: a week that's also timed in with when this event
- 6:32Speaker 1: is occurring, and you look at that along with this
- 6:35Speaker 1: right here, Robin Hood's reported developing a blockchain based platform
- 6:39Speaker 1: on stock trading for Europe, and everybody knows.
- 6:41Speaker 2: What that means.
- 6:42Speaker 1: It's that right there, Arbitram. Arbitram is the one to watch.
- 6:46Speaker 1: We believe that's probably going to be the selection. If
- 6:48Speaker 1: it's not and we do see something on Solana or
- 6:52Speaker 1: something of that nature. Key here is that they're moving
- 6:54Speaker 1: very aggressively into token is stocks and that's the key
- 6:58Speaker 1: going forward. Now I want to go to a clip
- 7:00Speaker 1: real quick because this is where it gets into the
- 7:01Speaker 1: top twenty five NASDAQ. In the next several years. Things
- 7:07Speaker 1: are shaking up a little bit based on this analyst review.
- 7:09Speaker 4: Take a look, and there's going to be some change
- 7:11Speaker 4: more with a half a dozen winners that replace them. Then,
- 7:14Speaker 4: so we looked at the let's say top twenty five
- 7:17Speaker 4: companies and what happens to them every five years, and
- 7:19Speaker 4: some of them just drop out. They run fast, but
- 7:22Speaker 4: they don't run as fast as the others. Then you've
- 7:25Speaker 4: got some new IPOs that come in and so we
- 7:28Speaker 4: try to recombine the index and imagine what we're here
- 7:31Speaker 4: today in Nazak one hundred. What's the Nazak one hundred
- 7:33Speaker 4: five years out and who's on it? Then? Okay, I
- 7:39Speaker 4: knew I thought you were going to ask me who's
- 7:41Speaker 4: not on it?
- 7:42Speaker 2: Well, we can do is not on it?
- 7:43Speaker 4: I just thought some of the big companies are going
- 7:45Speaker 4: to be amazingly positioned.
- 7:48Speaker 2: We'll show you who's on it.
- 7:49Speaker 1: Microsoft leading the way right there in video, of course,
- 7:52Speaker 1: kind of typical. Bitcoin not necessarily remember this is twenty thirty,
- 7:55Speaker 1: so not necessarily the big winner, but it is number
- 7:57Speaker 1: three just because of the size of the market cap
- 8:00Speaker 1: there in terms of x's of what you'll gain, their
- 8:04Speaker 1: meta TSMC, Tesla, open Ai, Oracle, and then the one
- 8:08Speaker 1: that I'm looking at is number fifteen right there. It
- 8:10Speaker 1: is a ethereum could become and.
- 8:13Speaker 2: This would be huge.
- 8:14Speaker 1: Others to follow along in this list, things like Shopify.
- 8:18Speaker 1: This of course will be very driven around stable corn growth.
- 8:21Speaker 1: I think we'll also think see areas that you look
- 8:24Speaker 1: further in there as Xai.
- 8:26Speaker 2: Uber of course will see whether or not they make it.
- 8:28Speaker 1: But financing revelue both finance companies finance not public yet.
- 8:32Speaker 2: The point being is that there's a lot of shake
- 8:34Speaker 2: up right now.
- 8:34Speaker 1: Who's missing here, guys, Well, you've got a couple of
- 8:37Speaker 1: big ones right now, and that is Google and Apple.
- 8:40Speaker 1: Apple is the one that I think is the most
- 8:43Speaker 1: disappointing in terms of what its capabilities are for future growth.
- 8:48Speaker 1: I think I would agree with cha Moth Polyopatia who
- 8:51Speaker 1: said that he thinks it's just a cash count now
- 8:53Speaker 1: and eventually they're just not gonna be building anything and
- 8:55Speaker 1: just writing those waves out and this is not going
- 8:58Speaker 1: to help it much. And that of course is Open
- 9:00Speaker 1: Apps Market Act has been introduced in the United States.
- 9:03Speaker 1: What this simply means is that when this goes into play,
- 9:07Speaker 1: it's over for Apple in terms of an app store.
- 9:10Speaker 1: And I think the percentage we've already talked about this
- 9:12Speaker 1: many times here on the show, is the Apple tax
- 9:15Speaker 1: is going to be eliminated. It will set the stage
- 9:18Speaker 1: of a completely new ecosystem starting to be developed for tech.
- 9:22Speaker 2: All right. So if you take a look.
- 9:23Speaker 1: At Ethereum and you think about its ecosystem and if
- 9:26Speaker 1: it becomes the app store of the future, a payment architecture,
- 9:30Speaker 1: it starts to have a lot of similarities to the
- 9:32Speaker 1: early days of Apple, and if you compare that to
- 9:35Speaker 1: where eth is today versus Apple today Apple right now,
- 9:39Speaker 1: that would set Eath's market price at around twenty five
- 9:42Speaker 1: thousand dollars.
- 9:44Speaker 2: All right, I want to jump to another clip here.
- 9:45Speaker 1: This is going to get into other areas that I
- 9:48Speaker 1: think are being disrupted, and this is comparing draft Kings
- 9:51Speaker 1: and Polymarket.
- 9:52Speaker 5: Take a look DraftKings in particulars trading twenty two to
- 9:54Speaker 5: twenty three times even done. Several states have raised online
- 9:58Speaker 5: gambling taxes here in the last few months. But the
- 10:00Speaker 5: most underappreciated thing is that Calshi has made its way through.
- 10:03Speaker 5: And the problem with Calshie is not that it's so
- 10:04Speaker 5: big yet. They're in California and Texas now acquiring those
- 10:08Speaker 5: customers that if DraftKings and fandor wherever to get to,
- 10:11Speaker 5: they would cost them a lot to get back. So
- 10:12Speaker 5: it's not a huge part of the market yet, but
- 10:14Speaker 5: it's enough to make my antennas go up and take
- 10:16Speaker 5: a little money off the table.
- 10:17Speaker 6: Here.
- 10:18Speaker 2: Polymarket today, this is a competitor. They're raising money at
- 10:21Speaker 2: a billion dollar valuation. They're backed by Peter Thiel's founder's fund.
- 10:23Speaker 2: They're leading that round today. So it seems like, yeah,
- 10:26Speaker 2: VC did back, you know, DraftKings and FanDuel and that
- 10:29Speaker 2: sort of thing, but they're coming for a different model
- 10:31Speaker 2: right now, so it'll be interesting a lot more competition.
- 10:34Speaker 1: Remember we did a video a while ago that identified
- 10:37Speaker 1: this phenomenon that was happening, is that polymarket would displace
- 10:41Speaker 1: the sports betting models. DraftKings obviously is the one that
- 10:45Speaker 1: could take the most hit. Here's Kathy's positioning right now
- 10:48Speaker 1: in DraftKings. If you look at that all over time,
- 10:51Speaker 1: all of these have been sales getting into where the
- 10:54Speaker 1: market is right now. And I think to the point
- 10:56Speaker 1: that a lot of these analysts are kind of getting
- 10:58Speaker 1: at is that polymarket really is kind of the next generation,
- 11:02Speaker 1: and I think we are seeing that kind of growth.
- 11:04Speaker 1: This is polymarket again calling the New York election, and
- 11:09Speaker 1: they did it faster than traditional TV, traditional media. You
- 11:14Speaker 1: look at the growth side of things. Just to give
- 11:16Speaker 1: you an example, this of course was the election. Yes,
- 11:19Speaker 1: But the point is is that it's continuing to move
- 11:22Speaker 1: up the charts in terms of growth and popularity. That
- 11:25Speaker 1: means one thing, guys, and that is that prediction markets
- 11:28Speaker 1: are definitely here to stay, and it could start to
- 11:31Speaker 1: disrupt a lot of what we've seen in this sector
- 11:35Speaker 1: over the next few years, so be on the lookout
- 11:37Speaker 1: for that. Other things I want to hit on right
- 11:39Speaker 1: here is that the House members, including the majority whip,
- 11:43Speaker 1: are now doubling down on packaging the Genius Act with
- 11:47Speaker 1: the Market Structure Act, all of this.
- 11:50Speaker 2: Ahead of voting.
- 11:50Speaker 1: So if this gets into the scenario that Peterson is
- 11:54Speaker 1: talking about right here, is that the path in the
- 11:56Speaker 1: House would be that the Genius Act would have to
- 11:59Speaker 1: be a company by the Clarity Act.
- 12:02Speaker 2: Guys, this would.
- 12:03Speaker 1: Be an absolute huge move in the space right now
- 12:07Speaker 1: in terms of crypto blockchain, the evolution of a lot
- 12:10Speaker 1: of these companies that are starting to position, including an
- 12:13Speaker 1: IPO from Circle, All of this very positive going forward
- 12:17Speaker 1: if it does happen, and I think this is the
- 12:19Speaker 1: key that we got to keep an eye on. One
- 12:20Speaker 1: last clip I want to get to is the debate
- 12:24Speaker 1: of stable coins. And this is happening from old school
- 12:28Speaker 1: investors in a way that they understand this, and this
- 12:31Speaker 1: is I'll get to the point after of why this
- 12:35Speaker 1: is a big deal.
- 12:36Speaker 2: But watch this clip.
- 12:37Speaker 6: See what you guys think it could cause economic chaos?
- 12:41Speaker 6: Explain why you say that.
- 12:43Speaker 7: Well, number one, we would have different dollar coins, all
- 12:47Speaker 7: worth different numbers of dollars, different amounts, So every single way.
- 12:52Speaker 6: I thought they were supposed to be actually pegged.
- 12:54Speaker 7: To the dollar they are supposed to be. But whether
- 12:57Speaker 7: that will be the reality or not is a real question.
- 13:01Speaker 7: You would have to pull out the equivalent of a
- 13:03Speaker 7: phone book and check each and every coin, each and
- 13:07Speaker 7: every issuers.
- 13:08Speaker 6: But it wouldn't it be possible to create a stable
- 13:11Speaker 6: coin that actually was pegged to the DOLLA.
- 13:14Speaker 7: It is possible in principle. The question is will it
- 13:17Speaker 7: be true in practice? They certainly haven't prevented banks from
- 13:22Speaker 7: failing in the past.
- 13:24Speaker 6: Well, if they haven't prevented banks or money market funds
- 13:27Speaker 6: occasionally from failing, and why is this any different?
- 13:31Speaker 7: So people who hold and use stable coins are going
- 13:34Speaker 7: to be more nervous, they're going to run.
- 13:37Speaker 6: The financial system that we have now, is really it
- 13:40Speaker 6: seems to me, Okay, it's very hard for me to
- 13:44Speaker 6: make small transactions digitally, to have to put them on
- 13:48Speaker 6: a visa or a master card. Is it then necessary
- 13:52Speaker 6: to find some way to have a digital currency.
- 13:55Speaker 7: Well, the transaction you do with your visa or your
- 13:58Speaker 7: MasterCard is digital. Transaption. You get a package of services
- 14:03Speaker 7: from your credit card company, you get fraud protection.
- 14:06Speaker 6: But wait, wait, wait, those are only available to people privileged,
- 14:10Speaker 6: people like me and you who have credit cards. What
- 14:13Speaker 6: about most Americans who are unbanked, They don't have credit cards.
- 14:17Speaker 7: We don't have a big problem of financial inclusion.
- 14:22Speaker 6: So Walmart, let's say it does something like a Walmart coin.
- 14:27Speaker 6: Why wouldn't I trust Walmart as much as I might
- 14:31Speaker 6: even trust, you know, a money market fund to say, Okay,
- 14:35Speaker 6: I'll put some stored value into a Walmart coins.
- 14:39Speaker 7: It may start with Walmart, but it won't end with Walmart.
- 14:44Speaker 7: I think CBDC, a simple bank issued would be a
- 14:47Speaker 7: better way to go.
- 14:48Speaker 6: What do you think the house could do to change
- 14:51Speaker 6: it that would make you feel more comfortable with this concept.
- 14:56Speaker 7: I don't think there's a lot that would make me
- 14:58Speaker 7: feel more comfortable. The Central Bank digital currency China has
- 15:03Speaker 7: done it.
- 15:04Speaker 1: But I think the questions are being asked. You know,
- 15:06Speaker 1: as you saw the PBS reporter kind of going in
- 15:08Speaker 1: on that, is that the questions are being asked in
- 15:10Speaker 1: the sense that it is a it's a dynamic shift
- 15:13Speaker 1: right now that's happening within the market. And definitely them
- 15:17Speaker 1: and other investors starting to understand how you know, stable
- 15:20Speaker 1: coins truly work, I think are going to be very
- 15:23Speaker 1: eye opening because most of what they're misunderstanding there. In
- 15:27Speaker 1: most cases of everything that proponent had to say was inaccurate.
- 15:31Speaker 1: And I think that is something that is going to
- 15:33Speaker 1: start to come to light, especially with circles popularity and
- 15:37Speaker 1: also with its success, but also with this stable Coin Act,
- 15:40Speaker 1: and especially with banks coming into the game, it's going
- 15:43Speaker 1: to start getting a lot more people involved. So just
- 15:46Speaker 1: consider that I think this is one. Of course, Ethereum
- 15:48Speaker 1: is really the one that we believe is going to
- 15:51Speaker 1: be the winner here. So first of all, if you
- 15:53Speaker 1: guys are not in our Diamond circle, you guys can
- 15:55Speaker 1: join that. It's very easy to do, just to click
- 15:58Speaker 1: the link down below.
- 15:59Speaker 2: It's free.

- 16:02Speaker 1: do that. It's Apple Parent. We'll catch you next time
- 16:04Speaker 1: right here on Techpath
- 16:10Speaker 4: M
