- 0:05Speaker 1: From a championship backfield to your morning drive.
- 0:07Speaker 3: Hands to Hester, and Hester, yep, got it, five out
- 0:11Speaker 3: of five.
- 0:12Speaker 1: You're locked in to Off the Bench.
- 0:14Speaker 4: Flynn is back to throw for the end zone.
- 0:18Speaker 5: Ball.
- 0:18Speaker 1: Live from the Raising Cane Studio, here's Jacob Hester and
- 0:23Speaker 1: Matt Flynn.
- 0:37Speaker 3: Bye. Bye.
- 0:44Speaker 6: Bye.
- 0:56Speaker 3: Welcome in OTV. Here live from the Razor Cane studio
- 1:07Speaker 3: on this Wednesday morning. Our Wednesday shows brought to you
- 1:10Speaker 3: by our friends over at Poncho. Jake Flynn, Alondra, Tay
- 1:14Speaker 3: Tay all in studio with you. How we doing? How
- 1:16Speaker 3: we living? Doing fantastic. Incredible.
- 1:19Speaker 7: Got this amazing Poncho hoodie on. You're representing company guy
- 1:24Speaker 7: over there.
- 1:25Speaker 3: Go Tigers. Let's go. It's a beautiful shirt.
- 1:27Speaker 2: It's the same one that you have on the panel
- 1:29Speaker 2: behind us. How's that a company, man? What because you
- 1:34Speaker 2: work for OSU? I got the button of the person.
- 1:37Speaker 2: Do you not get a check every week or two weeks?
- 1:42Speaker 2: That says OSU on it.
- 1:43Speaker 3: My brother in Christ, if you think that that check
- 1:46Speaker 3: comes when it's supposed to come, I've got two people
- 1:50Speaker 3: behind the glass back there that can back me up.
- 1:52Speaker 4: The fun part is there's not any rhyme or reason
- 1:56Speaker 4: about it. It might be in three weeks. It might
- 1:59Speaker 4: be in two months. We're just as excited as you
- 2:00Speaker 4: are when we get it. Nobody's more surprised than us.
- 2:04Speaker 3: Yeah, we typically text each other. Like when one gets it,
- 2:07Speaker 3: we're like, oh, the other two might be coming.
- 2:10Speaker 4: Mine will be here within three days.
- 2:11Speaker 6: And then for some reason it doesn't.
- 2:12Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 2:13Speaker 6: Like Taylor will get it.
- 2:14Speaker 3: I won't. Yeah.
- 2:17Speaker 4: Like they don't send these out just like a mass
- 2:19Speaker 4: send out. Apparently not.
- 2:21Speaker 3: Because that's happened to you twice. Yes. You didn't see
- 2:24Speaker 3: it going that way, did you?
- 2:26Speaker 6: Open that Pandora's box.
- 2:28Speaker 3: Sounds like my high employees. Oh, wow. Just kidding.
- 2:32Speaker 6: I don't want to be your marketing director anymore.
- 2:34Speaker 7: I'm so just kidding. I was trying to make y'all laugh.
- 2:38Speaker 7: Drink my high. We're not hiring.
- 2:41Speaker 6: I've been meaning to ask you.
- 2:42Speaker 3: Oh, boy.
- 2:45Speaker 6: Like, genuinely, do you feel like you've seen, like, a
- 2:48Speaker 6: spike in my high since you started doing this show?
- 2:51Speaker 4: Hmm.
- 2:54Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean, a spike, a spike chart.
- 2:56Speaker 4: Not a spike, okay.
- 2:57Speaker 7: Because we do sell my high like around, so this
- 3:00Speaker 7: is a very, you know.
- 3:01Speaker 3: Fool, have you made more money?
- 3:02Speaker 4: This is a.
- 3:03Speaker 3: Mid-market, right? Have you sold more?
- 3:04Speaker 7: This is one part of the country. Yeah, I would
- 3:07Speaker 7: say like our Rouse's sales.
- 3:08Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 3:08Speaker 3: For sure. Thank you.
- 3:10Speaker 6: Because I was at Rouse's last night, and I saw it,
- 3:13Speaker 6: and I was like, you know what, let me support
- 3:14Speaker 6: my guy. And I got a box.
- 3:17Speaker 3: Yeah, you did.
- 3:17Speaker 6: Of my high, the Berry Blast, because duh. Wait, Berry Blast,
- 3:21Speaker 6: Mountain Berry Blast?
- 3:22Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 3:22Speaker 6: Yeah, because duh. And then I wondered, do you think
- 3:27Speaker 6: Matt is making more, like, sales around town?
- 3:31Speaker 3: No doubt.
- 3:31Speaker 4: And then Matt gave the most complicated yes answer.
- 3:33Speaker 3: The most complicated.
- 3:35Speaker 4: Maybe ever.
- 3:35Speaker 3: Oh, hell yeah. Thank you. That's all we were looking for.
- 3:39Speaker 3: Hell yeah, brother. Hell yes. Oh, my God. Yeah, business
- 3:42Speaker 3: is always on the uptick, guys.
- 3:45Speaker 4: Amazing.
- 3:46Speaker 3: Yep. Can't have money.
- 3:50Speaker 7: Probably not the best at running the analytics from a
- 3:53Speaker 7: geographical standpoint.
- 3:55Speaker 3: Yeah. To your point. Right.
- 3:56Speaker 7: To your question. But the Rousa sales have been very nice.
- 3:59Speaker 7: Every time I go there, they're like, they've been hit hard.
- 4:04Speaker 6: Really?
- 4:05Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 4:06Speaker 6: I mean, it was fully stocked when I went yesterday.
- 4:08Speaker 3: That's good. That's a good thing. You went to the
- 4:10Speaker 3: government Rousa's probably?
- 4:11Speaker 6: No, I went to the, you know, I went to the.
- 4:13Speaker 4: The one that we go to on Fridays?
- 4:14Speaker 3: Uh-huh.
- 4:14Speaker 6: Because I was by there because I went to Jason's Deli.
- 4:16Speaker 3: That's good. Shout out Jason's Deli.
- 4:18Speaker 6: I love that salad bar.
- 4:19Speaker 3: I love a good salad bar. Do they still have
- 4:22Speaker 3: the spuds?
- 4:23Speaker 6: I think they do still have spuds.
- 4:25Speaker 3: They don't have like 37 different ones like they once did. Yeah,
- 4:28Speaker 3: they did.
- 4:28Speaker 6: McAllister's has spuds.
- 4:30Speaker 7: Man, I'll tell you what. It's been a while since
- 4:32Speaker 7: I've gone and.
- 4:32Speaker 3: Got a good spud. If you've got time to wait
- 4:33Speaker 3: for McAllister's, you've got a lot of time on your hands. Because, whoo,
- 4:37Speaker 3: shots fired. Oh, no doubt. Isn't there a new one?
- 4:41Speaker 3: That's the one I'm talking about.
- 4:42Speaker 5: New-ish.
- 4:43Speaker 4: It's all about Rouse's.
- 4:44Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 4:44Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 4:45Speaker 6: But I love the salad bar at Jason's Deli. So
- 4:48Speaker 6: if I'm feeling lazy, go hit that salad bar up.
- 4:51Speaker 3: I haven't been to Jason's in a while. That's a
- 4:54Speaker 3: great call. We go somewhat often. Okay.
- 4:57Speaker 4: I know.
- 4:58Speaker 6: I feel like I go pretty often, too.
- 4:59Speaker 3: Yeah. Interesting.
- 5:00Speaker 6: Brittany really likes it, so we go to lunch there
- 5:02Speaker 6: all the time.
- 5:03Speaker 7: I got to say, it's probably been, no, it's definitely
- 5:05Speaker 7: been over a decade.
- 5:07Speaker 6: Dang, really?
- 5:08Speaker 3: That's crazy. What did Jason do to you?
- 5:10Speaker 4: Nothing.
- 5:11Speaker 7: Absolutely nothing. Jason's over there being consistent as hell.
- 5:14Speaker 3: He is consistent. They have a Jason's in LP? I'm
- 5:17Speaker 3: going to say no.
- 5:18Speaker 4: So how about this? I've been once in my life,
- 5:21Speaker 4: probably 2015, 2016 area. In LP?
- 5:25Speaker 3: No.
- 5:26Speaker 4: I was about to say. Is the one old Segan
- 5:29Speaker 4: still there?
- 5:31Speaker 3: I think so.
- 5:32Speaker 4: That's the one I went to.
- 5:33Speaker 3: Yeah, no, that's still there.
- 5:34Speaker 7: Okay, that's the one I went to. I gotta say,
- 5:37Speaker 7: growing up in Tyler, Texas, we had a Jason's. And
- 5:40Speaker 7: every time the phrase was uttered for my parents, we're
- 5:44Speaker 7: going to Jason's tonight, I had the biggest eye roll
- 5:46Speaker 7: and the biggest, ugh. I didn't like it as a kid.
- 5:50Speaker 7: I wasn't about that life of eating salads and cold
- 5:54Speaker 7: cut sandwiches. I wasn't about that life. I needed cheeseburgers
- 5:59Speaker 7: and something hot.
- 6:00Speaker 3: You were a kid, yeah. We didn't get Jason's Deli
- 6:03Speaker 3: growing up. We got Shoney's. Okay. Like, Kind of somewhat similar.
- 6:08Speaker 3: A little bit more redneck than Jason's.
- 6:10Speaker 7: I don't know if I've ever been to a Shoney's,
- 6:12Speaker 7: but we didn't have one.
- 6:13Speaker 3: Y'all didn't? That's odd, right?
- 6:16Speaker 6: I never had a Shoney's.
- 6:17Speaker 3: Shoney's feels real south. I've never had Shoney's.
- 6:20Speaker 4: We didn't have one super close to me. I've never
- 6:23Speaker 4: been to a Shoney's.
- 6:24Speaker 7: Are you the only person in the foxhole that's been
- 6:29Speaker 7: to a Shoney's?
- 6:29Speaker 3: That feels weird.
- 6:30Speaker 4: It does.
- 6:31Speaker 3: There was the one right across the river that closed down.
- 6:34Speaker 3: I don't know. It feels pretty normal.
- 6:37Speaker 4: We had a couple in the Baton Rouge area. We
- 6:39Speaker 4: didn't have any in like down or anything growing up.
- 6:41Speaker 3: Maybe it's more of a North Louisiana thing. I don't know.
- 6:46Speaker 3: Let us know.
- 6:47Speaker 7: Maybe it's always been there. Just, you know, no one
- 6:50Speaker 7: went there.
- 6:51Speaker 3: I guess so. I don't know. Hey, but good on you.
- 6:55Speaker 3: I feel like if you were balling on a budget,
- 6:57Speaker 3: but you wanted to go out to eat with your family, Shoney's.
- 7:00Speaker 7: I'd crush a Golden Corral or Ryan's Steakhouse on the
- 7:03Speaker 7: fancy nights.
- 7:05Speaker 3: Do y'all know? Oh, I know y'all know about Ryan.
- 7:07Speaker 3: There was one in Denham Springs for a long time.
- 7:09Speaker 4: Yeah, it was in the Walmart parking lot.
- 7:11Speaker 3: Yeah, it was.
- 7:13Speaker 7: Thursday was steak night, if you're out there at the
- 7:15Speaker 7: right time. I used to treat my offensive linemen.
- 7:18Speaker 3: In high school? Oh, yeah. Before games. Pre-NIL, by the way. Oh, yeah. Pre-NIL.
- 7:22Speaker 3: Out of his pocket. And by his pocket, I mean
- 7:24Speaker 3: Alvin's pocket. A-bomb. Yeah, 699 Buffet. He had to go
- 7:30Speaker 3: to a couple different court cases to make sure he
- 7:32Speaker 3: had enough, you know?
- 7:33Speaker 6: Mm-hmm.
- 7:34Speaker 3: Got to pick up some extra cases because Matt wants
- 7:36Speaker 3: to treat the O-lineman to some Ryans. The quarterback's got
- 7:39Speaker 3: to pay the offensive lineman.
- 7:40Speaker 7: I don't know what kind of steak that was.
- 7:45Speaker 3: All right, thank you all. Homa had Shoney's. Shoney's off
- 7:48Speaker 3: the airline. Okay, I'm not crazy. So they were there.
- 7:50Speaker 3: They were there.
- 7:51Speaker 6: This is super off topic, but I feel like the
- 7:52Speaker 6: foxhole would really enjoy this. I came across this guy
- 7:57Speaker 6: on the internet.
- 7:59Speaker 4: And I'm intrigued. Craigslist.
- 8:06Speaker 3: Oh my God. We're going to meet up at a park.
- 8:10Speaker 6: So there's this guy on the internet and he's about
- 8:12Speaker 6: to kayak on an inflatable kayak. The Congo basin.
- 8:17Speaker 4: I followed this guy on Tik TOK literally yesterday.
- 8:20Speaker 6: He just spent 37 days in the Amazon and they're
- 8:24Speaker 6: about to drop. They dropped him. by helicopter in the Amazon.
- 8:28Speaker 6: He spent 37 days there. And now they're about to
- 8:31Speaker 6: drop him in the Congo Basin. And he's going to
- 8:34Speaker 6: kayak the entire, not the Congo River, the one adjacent
- 8:38Speaker 6: to it. I forget what it's called.
- 8:39Speaker 4: It's something with an S.
- 8:41Speaker 6: Sangha or something like that.
- 8:42Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 8:43Speaker 4: And he's going to, where they connect is like.
- 8:45Speaker 6: Yeah. So he's going to start at the mouth of
- 8:47Speaker 6: the river and go all the way to where it
- 8:48Speaker 6: connects with the Congo River.
- 8:49Speaker 3: With an inflatable.
- 8:50Speaker 6: Inflatable kayak. Mind you, there's like gorillas and stuff out there.
- 8:53Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 8:54Speaker 4: Hippos.
- 8:54Speaker 3: That was like the, First thing I thought of was crocodiles.
- 8:57Speaker 3: The animals.
- 8:59Speaker 6: Which movie? Congo.
- 9:00Speaker 3: It's called Congo. Oh.
- 9:02Speaker 7: People just get very much called Congo. It's just Congo.
- 9:05Speaker 4: 20 days away?
- 9:06Speaker 6: Something like that? Like 23 days, and he's going to
- 9:08Speaker 6: go do it.
- 9:09Speaker 3: So the Sangha?
- 9:09Speaker 7: There's a lot of different tributaries to the Congo.
- 9:14Speaker 6: There's thousands.
- 9:15Speaker 3: Lots of them.
- 9:16Speaker 6: I did some research last night. I went down a
- 9:17Speaker 6: rabbit hole.
- 9:19Speaker 3: I had like 815. This is fascinating. Because y'all know
- 9:22Speaker 3: she wasn't up scrolling to 10.
- 9:23Speaker 6: Oh, no.
- 9:23Speaker 3: No, no, no.
- 9:26Speaker 6: I saw it in the afternoon, had to go do something.
- 9:28Speaker 6: I was like, I'm looking into this when I get back.
- 9:30Speaker 7: So he's already done Amazon. People don't come back from
- 9:33Speaker 7: that stuff.
- 9:34Speaker 6: No, he spent 37 days there. He does a bunch
- 9:36Speaker 6: of like crazy stuff like that. Um, he's walked the
- 9:41Speaker 6: length of Mongolia, Madagascar. Yeah. Like, like he walked across
- 9:47Speaker 6: the Gobi desert.
- 9:49Speaker 3: You know, I, I hear all that and I'm like, yeah,
- 9:50Speaker 3: it's crazy. That's wild. You know, but like, You want
- 9:54Speaker 3: to be a real one? Go spend like 37 days
- 9:56Speaker 3: in Chalmette. You know what I mean? Yeah. You know?
- 9:59Speaker 3: You got it. go do that. And then I'll be impressed. Yeah. Yeah.
- 10:04Speaker 7: Drop your, drop your kayak off at the little, the
- 10:06Speaker 7: little Highland road park over there where you can drop
- 10:09Speaker 7: in and go, go kayak by them gators.
- 10:11Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 10:11Speaker 6: Go kayak in the LSU lakes.
- 10:13Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 10:15Speaker 6: Well, once all the machines are, And they have goliath
- 10:18Speaker 6: fish in that river, too.
- 10:21Speaker 3: On this one? What's a goliath fish? They got catfish.
- 10:25Speaker 3: The size of taxi cabs.
- 10:26Speaker 6: They got hippos. They got everything. And this guy is
- 10:30Speaker 6: about to just.
- 10:31Speaker 3: It's.
- 10:32Speaker 6: Him and I think three other guys.
- 10:35Speaker 4: That might be the animal I'm the most scared of
- 10:37Speaker 4: in life.
- 10:38Speaker 3: A hippo.
- 10:40Speaker 4: They're terrifying.
- 10:41Speaker 3: Don't they kill more people than any other animal?
- 10:45Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 10:45Speaker 7: They're cute when they're underwater and you get the video
- 10:48Speaker 7: from underwater.
- 10:48Speaker 4: I mean, the baby ones, yeah, the giant hippos, not
- 10:52Speaker 4: that cute for me.
- 10:54Speaker 3: They can be cute.
- 10:56Speaker 6: Madagascar, the movie made them seem very friendly. Gloria was great.
- 11:00Speaker 3: She was great.
- 11:00Speaker 4: And then Moto Moto, he was awesome.
- 11:05Speaker 3: I'm still going to go with some kind of a
- 11:06Speaker 3: big cat.
- 11:08Speaker 6: In the Amazon, he had videos of jaguars.
- 11:11Speaker 3: Yeah. Because when they hit that purr, you pucker up.
- 11:16Speaker 3: What puckers? Everything. That purr hits different. And you know
- 11:24Speaker 3: those things are faster and quicker than you two? I mean,
- 11:27Speaker 3: hippos are too, but you don't think that because they're
- 11:29Speaker 3: so big initially. Yeah. They'll get you. Oh, they'll track
- 11:32Speaker 3: you down. They'll get you. You're getting hawked. I got
- 11:35Speaker 3: good bite force. I've heard that.
- 11:38Speaker 7: He is pretty wild, like, in the Amazon. Like, people
- 11:41Speaker 7: still discovering, like, just tribes out there.
- 11:43Speaker 3: Yeah. There's tribes of people. That's a crazy situation.
- 11:46Speaker 4: They've, like, always been there, just never seen another person. Yeah,
- 11:48Speaker 4: I mean, I guess it's more weird for them, but, like,
- 11:50Speaker 4: it's weird for us, too. Yeah.
- 11:51Speaker 3: It's weird on our end, as well.
- 11:53Speaker 6: On both ends, for sure.
- 11:54Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 11:56Speaker 3: Like, that one island in Asia, I believe.
- 11:59Speaker 6: You can't go anywhere near it.
- 12:00Speaker 3: Can't go anywhere near it.
- 12:01Speaker 6: Because they'll start spearing you.
- 12:02Speaker 7: Don't even fly. They'll shoot. I mean, bone arrows can't.
- 12:06Speaker 3: Be that good, either. Mm-mm.
- 12:09Speaker 6: Slow, painful death.
- 12:10Speaker 7: Slow, painful death. I mean, it's going to stick you.
- 12:12Speaker 7: It's going to go in about an inch and a half, probably.
- 12:17Speaker 3: You get it?
- 12:20Speaker 6: It is insane, though.
- 12:21Speaker 3: Death by a thousand arrows, though. Yeah. Instead of the
- 12:23Speaker 3: paper cuts. A lot of paper cuts.
- 12:25Speaker 7: Yeah, a lot of paper cuts. They're going to get you.
- 12:28Speaker 7: I wonder what they think of when the planes are
- 12:31Speaker 7: flying over.
- 12:31Speaker 3: I was thinking that. That's going to be my question.
- 12:33Speaker 3: What's that? What do they think that is?
- 12:35Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 12:36Speaker 6: Or drones, because you know they put drones over it
- 12:39Speaker 6: to get pictures of them.
- 12:40Speaker 7: Yeah, and they shook their fists at them, too.
- 12:44Speaker 4: It's like, get out of here, or your drone will
- 12:47Speaker 4: catch an arrow.
- 12:48Speaker 3: Yeah, devil bird.
- 12:52Speaker 4: Devil bird? Yeah, wild.
- 12:57Speaker 7: They gotta be confused, for sure, for real. They can't
- 13:01Speaker 7: even make pants.
- 13:04Speaker 3: Also another fair point. And then there's a flying piece
- 13:07Speaker 3: of metal?
- 13:08Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 13:08Speaker 3: I don't think so. All right. Shout out to the
- 13:14Speaker 3: guy in the inflatable tube. Shout out to that guy.
- 13:17Speaker 7: Hopefully he finds a couple of new tribes. That'd be fun.
- 13:20Speaker 3: Yeah. Probably not fun for him. No, only cute hippos,
- 13:23Speaker 3: not mean ones.
- 13:25Speaker 4: Doesn't mean tough.
- 13:26Speaker 6: So I looked into this because... Again, he just spent
- 13:29Speaker 6: 37 days in the Amazon. And I'm like, well, how
- 13:31Speaker 6: did he not get attacked by any animals? Like he
- 13:34Speaker 6: literally had a video with a jaguar so close to him.
- 13:37Speaker 3: Jaguar.
- 13:39Speaker 6: And he said that one morning they woke up and
- 13:42Speaker 6: there was like jaguar droppings and paw prints everywhere while
- 13:46Speaker 6: they were sleeping. So I was like, how did they
- 13:47Speaker 6: not get attacked? But I think that the animals are
- 13:50Speaker 6: just so confused and more curious than like wanting to
- 13:54Speaker 6: attack them.
- 13:55Speaker 7: I think animal attacks of any kind are pretty rare.
- 13:58Speaker 7: Because you're by animals quite a bit. They're not always
- 14:03Speaker 7: going to attack you.
- 14:04Speaker 6: True. That's the Amazon.
- 14:07Speaker 4: I mean, if I wake up, though, and I see
- 14:09Speaker 4: jaguar footprints right outside my campsite, I'm like, hey, let's
- 14:13Speaker 4: move our campsite a little bit over this way.
- 14:15Speaker 7: Yeah, if I'm looking at where I want to go
- 14:16Speaker 7: take my inflatable kayaks, probably nowhere with jaguars.
- 14:21Speaker 3: That'd be the first thing.
- 14:22Speaker 7: But I think if you go to that situation and
- 14:24Speaker 7: you don't see a jaguar, probably disappointed.
- 14:28Speaker 4: You're putting yourself in that situation. What if he's just
- 14:31Speaker 4: traveling through the Congo seas and nothing in the end?
- 14:33Speaker 7: Yeah, like if a jaguar doesn't poop by you, then you're.
- 14:37Speaker 3: A little disappointed, right?
- 14:38Speaker 6: You didn't really live in the Amazon.
- 14:39Speaker 7: You didn't see any cool animals. No, the Amazon's a
- 14:41Speaker 7: scary mother.
- 14:42Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 14:42Speaker 7: They got some insects over there. They got things that
- 14:45Speaker 7: they're discovering species all the time over there.
- 14:47Speaker 3: You can only imagine the Congo. All right. On that note,
- 14:53Speaker 3: we'll take a break. I hope it doesn't pop.
- 14:56Speaker 5: I know.
- 14:56Speaker 3: I'm sure it's reinforced. I'm sure he repairs it, too.
- 15:00Speaker 3: I'm sure he's got some repairs.
- 15:03Speaker 4: He's got Flex Seal.
- 15:05Speaker 3: Pumping it up. Flex Seal is probably the only answer.
- 15:11Speaker 3: That clear boat. Oh, my God. He put it, yeah,
- 15:15Speaker 3: got like a window pane, screen door, actually, and put
- 15:19Speaker 3: Flex Seal on it, and he was good to go, remember? Yeah.
- 15:22Speaker 3: Multiple strips of it. All right, let's take a break.
- 15:26Speaker 3: We'll get into the sports portion of the show when
- 15:28Speaker 3: we come back here on OTB.
- 15:31Speaker 1: Off the bench. Welcome back to Off the Bench. Wednesday's
- 16:08Speaker 1: show is brought to you by Poncho.
- 16:13Speaker 5: All right, welcome back in.
- 16:30Speaker 3: OTB here, live from the Raising Cane Studio. Every single Wednesday,
- 16:34Speaker 3: brought to you by our friends over at Poncho. Go
- 16:36Speaker 3: to ponchooutdoors.com. Again, ponchooutdoors.com slash offthebench. Who's this male model
- 16:47Speaker 3: right here? I don't know, just staring at your neck beard. Oh,
- 16:55Speaker 3: my God. I wore that one last week, though. Spared
- 16:57Speaker 3: no expense. Wore that one last week for the game.
- 17:02Speaker 3: It's become my new shirts to call the game. I know. Well,
- 17:08Speaker 3: they're my new shirts for every day. Yeah, because you
- 17:11Speaker 3: don't go to the games. Yeah.
- 17:13Speaker 7: People getting all upset at that company for selling, you know,
- 17:19Speaker 7: with Sidney Sweeney. But, I mean, no one's talking about
- 17:21Speaker 7: poncho and myself.
- 17:25Speaker 4: It'll get there. It'll catch on.
- 17:26Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean, we're selling the same thing.
- 17:29Speaker 6: What do you mean? They mentioned you on the broadcast
- 17:32Speaker 6: the other night.
- 17:35Speaker 3: They did. Sure it is. You got a shout out
- 17:37Speaker 3: in the game. Lovely. We gave you a shout-out, too,
- 17:40Speaker 3: on the radio call. You did? Yeah, but not for that. Oh. Yeah.
- 17:45Speaker 4: Okay.
- 17:45Speaker 3: For Purple Jersey Games.
- 17:50Speaker 6: Me thinks.
- 17:51Speaker 3: Me thinks.
- 17:51Speaker 6: Matt doesn't like the Purple Jersey.
- 17:52Speaker 3: Me thinks, too.
- 17:53Speaker 7: Me thinks I don't like the Purple Jersey Games.
- 17:55Speaker 3: And I don't.
- 17:56Speaker 7: And it's not about the colors. The colors are great.
- 17:59Speaker 7: Just don't like the games.
- 18:03Speaker 3: Sorry, not sorry. Well, I don't know what color jersey
- 18:06Speaker 3: LSU is wearing in this one. I'm going to assume
- 18:08Speaker 3: it's going to be a white jersey.
- 18:10Speaker 7: It'd be a fantastic troll job by Ole Miss if
- 18:12Speaker 7: they said they wanted to wear white.
- 18:14Speaker 3: If they said, we're going to go all white and
- 18:16Speaker 3: y'all got to bring your purples, it absolutely would be. God,
- 18:19Speaker 3: they would. They might win. Is anybody surprised that LSU
- 18:23Speaker 3: is a three-point favorite in this game? And the total
- 18:27Speaker 3: on this game right now as we sit, 58 and
- 18:29Speaker 3: a half.
- 18:29Speaker 5: No.
- 18:32Speaker 4: Because, again, I still think outside of Shaquille and Lacey, there's.
- 18:35Speaker 7: A lot of momentum.
- 18:35Speaker 3: It opened up on this minus one and a half.
- 18:37Speaker 7: That was before the Clemson game.
- 18:39Speaker 3: Yes. That was before week one, right?
- 18:43Speaker 6: And their Louisville game, which they won, but.
- 18:46Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 18:47Speaker 7: I mean, four and a half is a lot of movement, certainly. But,
- 18:50Speaker 7: I mean, what is it? LSU's got the number one
- 18:52Speaker 7: scoring defense and three scoring offense so far in college football.
- 18:56Speaker 4: It's hard to beat.
- 18:57Speaker 3: I mean, it's hard to. It's pretty good, right?
- 19:00Speaker 7: Even though, I get it, it's got Louisiana Tech thrown
- 19:04Speaker 7: in there, but everybody has a.
- 19:06Speaker 3: Well, Tech's offense might be better than Clemson's offense. That's
- 19:11Speaker 3: a fair... Their defense definitely is. Yeah.
- 19:14Speaker 7: Yeah, that's fair, for sure. But everybody, all the top
- 19:16Speaker 7: teams have played now one real team. I mean, one
- 19:21Speaker 7: directional team. Kind of just giving Clemson a hard time.
- 19:25Speaker 7: Yards allowed, LSU is number one in the country with
- 19:27Speaker 7: 142 yards given up per game Number one in sacks
- 19:33Speaker 7: as well with 12 sacks. They have 12 sacks.
- 19:37Speaker 4: Yeah, Prince Will has five in two games. Think about that.
- 19:42Speaker 3: Is that five?
- 19:43Speaker 4: He's five in two games harold perkins said three and
- 19:46Speaker 4: a half last year that led your team.
- 19:49Speaker 3: Again the stat of the of the night saturday was
- 19:53Speaker 3: your edge rushers had three all year you're starting two
- 19:57Speaker 3: edge rushers and this year they've already got six and
- 19:59Speaker 3: a half in two games they have doubled up and
- 20:02Speaker 3: then some what you did for a full 13 game.
- 20:07Speaker 7: Season and i and i They've had a ton of
- 20:10Speaker 7: pressures and disruptions, too. Going in and watching that game,
- 20:15Speaker 7: there was like Prince was he was making the quarterback
- 20:19Speaker 7: work for it yesterday or this past weekend. And it
- 20:23Speaker 7: doesn't always show up in the stat book. Yeah, you
- 20:25Speaker 7: might get like a pressure in the stat line or whatever.
- 20:27Speaker 7: I get that's always kind of a subjective thing as well.
- 20:30Speaker 7: But he was making a move off his pocket. making
- 20:33Speaker 7: him rush his reads and allowing other people to play.
- 20:36Speaker 7: So you've gotten a ton of production out of that
- 20:38Speaker 7: defensive line. The young guys, too.
- 20:41Speaker 3: Everybody.
- 20:43Speaker 7: And you just watch the game, and you're just like, man,
- 20:45Speaker 7: everybody's just playing their ass off. It's like, is that
- 20:49Speaker 7: energy sustainable? Well, yeah, it's sustainable. It absolutely is when
- 20:53Speaker 7: you've got the right kind of guys in there. And
- 20:55Speaker 7: they seem to, at this point in the season, now
- 20:58Speaker 7: there's a lot of overreaction. There's a lot of, you know,
- 21:01Speaker 7: Judgment calls you're making on how you think it's going
- 21:03Speaker 7: to go. It's a long season. It is a very
- 21:06Speaker 7: long season. But they seem to have the right DNA,
- 21:11Speaker 7: the right genetic makeup, from the coaching all the way
- 21:14Speaker 7: through second, third string guys on defense. And it has
- 21:19Speaker 7: shown itself. And people are going to get there. People
- 21:22Speaker 7: are going to make their plays. Trinidad's going to make
- 21:24Speaker 7: some plays this weekend.
- 21:26Speaker 3: Lacey's going to hit. They're going to do something. He's
- 21:29Speaker 3: going to hit a run that goes for a first down.
- 21:31Speaker 7: Yeah, but it's okay because those things are going to happen.
- 21:35Speaker 3: It's football.
- 21:37Speaker 7: Blake Baker likes to take chances, and I think he
- 21:40Speaker 7: can take more chances this year because guess what? He
- 21:44Speaker 7: actually has a capable offense on the other side. Yes,
- 21:47Speaker 7: the offense needs to improve. They have to clean up mistakes.
- 21:51Speaker 7: Sam Leavitt, you've got to clean up some of your footwork.
- 21:54Speaker 7: But again, it's early in the season. That offense is
- 21:57Speaker 7: still learning to play together. Uh, the, the defense has,
- 22:01Speaker 7: you know, more common parts to it than the offense does.
- 22:05Speaker 3: So look, it's, um, it's a long season. Don't want
- 22:08Speaker 3: to overreact.
- 22:09Speaker 7: Don't want to think LSU is the best team to
- 22:11Speaker 7: ever put a football helmet on, but there's a lot
- 22:15Speaker 7: of things to be optimistic for, especially on the defensive
- 22:17Speaker 7: side of the ball. I mean, they are flying around.
- 22:19Speaker 7: They play great team. They're unselfish and, uh, it's been
- 22:22Speaker 7: a lot of fun to watch and I think it's
- 22:24Speaker 7: going to continue that direction. Um, I'm not going to
- 22:28Speaker 7: be ignorant to the fact that, yeah, Trinidad's one of
- 22:30Speaker 7: the best quarterbacks, if not the best quarterback in college football.
- 22:33Speaker 3: Yeah, I'm looking at it right now. A year ago,
- 22:36Speaker 3: LSU for the full 13-game season had 27 sacks as
- 22:40Speaker 3: a team. You have 12 after two games. So just
- 22:45Speaker 3: to kind of give you a difference, and remember, LSU
- 22:47Speaker 3: had a top 30 scoring defense a year ago. So
- 22:51Speaker 3: they weren't bad. It wasn't a bad defense. They just
- 22:54Speaker 3: couldn't get after the quarterbacks. Certainly couldn't do it without
- 22:57Speaker 3: bringing some extra numbers, bringing some pressure. And that's why
- 23:01Speaker 3: we talked about their leading sack getter being somebody that
- 23:04Speaker 3: played nickel essentially a year ago. Like Perk had four.
- 23:10Speaker 3: Wes Weeks had two and a half. Thank you, Jacob.
- 23:13Speaker 3: That was for you.
- 23:13Speaker 7: Thank you so much for calling him a nickel.
- 23:15Speaker 3: And Wes Weeks had two and a half. So Wes
- 23:17Speaker 3: Weeks was second on your team. So your nickel and
- 23:20Speaker 3: your Mike linebacker were your two leading sack getters. And
- 23:25Speaker 3: then Pyburn had two. DJ Pickett had two. Your star corner,
- 23:29Speaker 3: not like the position. I got it. DJ Pickett had
- 23:33Speaker 3: the same amount of sacks as one of your starting
- 23:35Speaker 3: edge rushers and had more than the other. And that's
- 23:37Speaker 3: not that those like like Pyburn had four sacks in
- 23:40Speaker 3: the preseason. But for whatever reason, your edge rushers couldn't
- 23:43Speaker 3: get home a year ago. Think about that. Your number
- 23:46Speaker 3: one corner had two sacks. Your starting edge rusher had
- 23:50Speaker 3: two sacks. And your leaders were your nickel and your
- 23:54Speaker 3: Mike linebacker in sacks. By the way, you had a
- 23:58Speaker 3: defensive tackle who was right there with two as well.
- 24:01Speaker 3: So think about how much more is on the table
- 24:04Speaker 3: for the defensive coaching staff now compared to what it
- 24:07Speaker 3: was a year ago. A year ago, you go into
- 24:09Speaker 3: the meeting rooms, you're like, all right, where can we
- 24:11Speaker 3: bring pressure? How can we make sure we're covered in
- 24:14Speaker 3: the back end when we bring pressure? How can we
- 24:16Speaker 3: make sure we don't give up a home run if
- 24:19Speaker 3: we bring– A, B, or C, and now it's like,
- 24:23Speaker 3: when do we want to bring A, B, and C?
- 24:25Speaker 3: When do we want to try to switch it up,
- 24:27Speaker 3: throw them something different? When do we want to be aggressive?
- 24:30Speaker 3: You now have the choice to be aggressive and use
- 24:32Speaker 3: that aggression, where last year you had to have that
- 24:35Speaker 3: aggression to get to the quarterback. And the numbers, I mean,
- 24:38Speaker 3: it speaks to what it was a year ago, 27
- 24:41Speaker 3: total sacks, and you already have 12 in two games. Yeah,
- 24:45Speaker 3: when you....
- 24:48Speaker 7: As a defensive coordinator, especially one as talented as Blake Baker,
- 24:52Speaker 7: when you can bring pressure and creative pressure and bring
- 24:56Speaker 7: creative looks when you want to instead of when you, like,
- 24:59Speaker 7: because you have to.
- 25:01Speaker 3: It makes you very dangerous.
- 25:02Speaker 7: And I said it earlier, I think, after the Clemson game,
- 25:05Speaker 7: I think Prince Willem-On-Me-Ellen, he is going to vault Blake
- 25:09Speaker 7: Baker into the most important and the best assistant coach
- 25:13Speaker 7: in college football royals award they're not because he is
- 25:17Speaker 7: going to have all these sacks and i think he
- 25:19Speaker 7: will but because of the relentless effort that i see
- 25:23Speaker 7: from him and the skill set to move the quarterback
- 25:26Speaker 7: off his platform and not allow him to go through
- 25:28Speaker 7: a full progression even though even if he doesn't get
- 25:31Speaker 7: the stat line from that play that relentless effort and
- 25:34Speaker 7: being able to disrupt the play from one person at
- 25:38Speaker 7: an edge rusher that like baker has not had is
- 25:41Speaker 7: going to make him a very, very dangerous man.
- 25:45Speaker 3: And now in this matchup, it is going to be
- 25:48Speaker 3: pick and choose. Like, when do you want to bring pressure?
- 25:50Speaker 3: How aggressive do you want to be? Because if you're
- 25:52Speaker 3: facing a mobile quarterback, which Trinidad Chambliss is, you still
- 25:56Speaker 3: have to have your rush rules, right? You still have
- 25:59Speaker 3: to have rush integrity. You've got to set edges. You
- 26:01Speaker 3: have to make sure you have the middle covered, all
- 26:03Speaker 3: those different things. So I'm not saying you go out
- 26:05Speaker 3: there and you can just play reckless. Like, it's got
- 26:07Speaker 3: to be organized chaos.
- 26:11Speaker 7: I'll be curious to see how fast Ole Miss goes
- 26:14Speaker 7: post Lane Kiffin era. I don't, I assume they kind
- 26:18Speaker 7: of kept up their speed, but I did not when
- 26:20Speaker 7: I've watched them, when I watched the Louisville game mistakenly,
- 26:24Speaker 7: I didn't watch it and like kind of keep track
- 26:26Speaker 7: and notice that portion of their, of their offense of
- 26:30Speaker 7: how fast they went. Because as we know, it does
- 26:34Speaker 7: mitigate the amount of defenses and pressures you can call.
- 26:37Speaker 7: But like, look, one thing that Blake did, a great
- 26:39Speaker 7: job last year of disguising and the defense was able
- 26:42Speaker 7: to execute, was the corner blitz. You just talked about
- 26:44Speaker 7: how DJ Pickett. I don't think they've run a corner
- 26:46Speaker 7: blitz this year. I would expect that if there is
- 26:50Speaker 7: time to make calls, I wouldn't be shocked if you
- 26:53Speaker 7: saw corner blitz this week. Because we know it's in
- 27:00Speaker 7: the arsenal.
- 27:01Speaker 3: Oh, for sure. That arrow's in the quiver.
- 27:04Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 27:07Speaker 3: I do think Ole Miss' offense wants to go just
- 27:09Speaker 3: as fast as they always did. I think that's why
- 27:11Speaker 3: they went to East Carolina, got a coordinator who had
- 27:13Speaker 3: been at Ole Miss. Their ball boys are just like
- 27:16Speaker 3: LSU's ball boys. Yeah, right. No, they're not. Wait. Ours
- 27:20Speaker 3: are better. They have the intent to be like LSU's
- 27:23Speaker 3: ball boys. I wish they were LSU's ball boys. You
- 27:25Speaker 3: still see the receiver, you know, find the referee, hand
- 27:28Speaker 3: him the football. All of those things are still going
- 27:30Speaker 3: to be in place. And what did Blake give up
- 27:33Speaker 3: last year, 24? 24 to Ole Miss and– Again, there's
- 27:38Speaker 3: things that he can do with this defense that he
- 27:40Speaker 3: couldn't do in last year's defense when it came to
- 27:43Speaker 3: just rushing four and trying to get pressure with four. Now,
- 27:46Speaker 3: he's still going to do some games. He's still going
- 27:48Speaker 3: to run cross dog. He's still going to run strike blitz.
- 27:52Speaker 3: He's still going to do like– You're going to get
- 27:53Speaker 3: your simulated pressures. Yeah, you're going to get all that. But, again,
- 27:59Speaker 3: I think the biggest thing in this matchup that's different
- 28:01Speaker 3: than a year ago over anything, any unit, offense, defense, defense, offense,
- 28:06Speaker 3: special teams, whatever– It does not matter. It is the
- 28:09Speaker 3: ability for LSU to get after the quarterback while playing
- 28:15Speaker 3: their defense and not having to do something exotic to
- 28:18Speaker 3: create pressure.
- 28:19Speaker 7: That, to me, is the biggest difference in this matchup. Yeah,
- 28:22Speaker 7: and also the age of their quarterback. He's very old.
- 28:25Speaker 3: I heard somebody calling him. This is sixth year, seventh year?
- 28:33Speaker 3: I heard somebody calling Ole Miss' players like, kids because
- 28:38Speaker 3: he was trying to like you know Ole Miss left
- 28:39Speaker 3: those kids and I was like why do we only
- 28:42Speaker 3: use kids when it fits our narrative and then somebody
- 28:45Speaker 3: saw it recently in Baton Rouge somebody well somebody replied
- 28:48Speaker 3: to me they're like dude you're you're under 25 like
- 28:51Speaker 3: money shouldn't change that you're still a kid I was
- 28:53Speaker 3: like I was in my third year in the NFL
- 28:56Speaker 3: at 25 you think I was a kid at that point.
- 28:59Speaker 4: What can you what can you not do at 25
- 29:01Speaker 4: why don't you.
- 29:02Speaker 7: Try to tell that to the greatest generation like 25
- 29:05Speaker 7: and you're still a kid I was like You were
- 29:07Speaker 7: raised a little bit different than I was, big fella.
- 29:10Speaker 3: If you think 25 is a child.
- 29:12Speaker 4: I was married with a house at 26. 25?
- 29:15Speaker 3: We had, legally, it's 18.
- 29:19Speaker 4: Jake, you were in your.
- 29:20Speaker 3: I had a child. I was married with a child.
- 29:24Speaker 4: You were in your third year in the NFL?
- 29:25Speaker 3: Katie had two by the time she was 25, yeah.
- 29:28Speaker 4: Third or fourth year?
- 29:28Speaker 3: Third year.
- 29:30Speaker 6: Yes.
- 29:30Speaker 7: Child, get out of here. If you can go out
- 29:33Speaker 7: there and sign up. and be willing to make the
- 29:36Speaker 7: ultimate sacrifice, then you're not a child. Then seven years later, still.
- 29:41Speaker 3: Be called a child. What are we doing? Come on.
- 29:45Speaker 7: You can have an argument, but don't only argue. By
- 29:48Speaker 7: that definition, Trinidad is not a child.
- 29:50Speaker 3: Sure. All right, we'll take a break. More OTB when

- 32:03Speaker 3: A little bump in the road. The man trying to
- 32:06Speaker 3: hold us down. Apparently, it was too popular. Apparently, they
- 32:12Speaker 3: don't like us showing films. And they've pulled the access
- 32:17Speaker 3: from said film. And we're trying. We're efforting to get
- 32:22Speaker 3: it back. We're going to get it working, bro. We
- 32:24Speaker 3: are going to try every avenue. So, you know, there's
- 32:28Speaker 3: plenty of people that do film breakdowns on YouTube. But
- 32:31Speaker 3: I guess when you do it from a nice setup
- 32:36Speaker 3: like the garage, they notice. I don't know. I don't
- 32:38Speaker 3: know what happened. But that's why. Because we actually filmed
- 32:43Speaker 3: it yesterday. Okay.
- 32:44Speaker 6: I think we just got too popular.
- 32:45Speaker 3: I guess so. We filmed it yesterday. Like, it's in
- 32:47Speaker 3: the can, but we have not gotten the okay to
- 32:52Speaker 3: press send.
- 32:53Speaker 7: Yeah, it must have been someone out there that does
- 32:55Speaker 7: a film review that didn't like it.
- 32:58Speaker 3: Yeah. Turn to Sim. It's all right.
- 33:03Speaker 7: We're going to find it. We're going to get back.
- 33:05Speaker 7: We're going to be better than ever. We thought about doing, like,
- 33:07Speaker 7: the TV copy, but, I mean, we could just, like,
- 33:12Speaker 7: put content out there, but it doesn't... I.
- 33:15Speaker 6: Still feel like if we were to break down some
- 33:17Speaker 6: Ole Miss film, it wouldn't get... Like, we wouldn't... I
- 33:23Speaker 6: don't think anybody would care if we broke down some
- 33:25Speaker 6: Ole Miss film and.
- 33:25Speaker 3: Never can get to it.
- 33:28Speaker 6: TV copy.
- 33:29Speaker 3: We had to get a TV copy, yeah. Yeah, Daniel
- 33:32Speaker 3: says it was Moscona who reported y'all. Probably so. That
- 33:40Speaker 3: page is getting too popular.
- 33:42Speaker 6: Murphy, Sam, and Jody.
- 33:45Speaker 3: That's what it was.
- 33:46Speaker 4: Find out that it's Murphy, Sam, and Jody.
- 33:48Speaker 3: Let me find out. Or we'll write a strongly worded letter. Yes, Dane,
- 33:55Speaker 3: we are doing our show from Rouse's every single Friday,
- 33:58Speaker 3: 7 to 10, football Friday. Let's go. Home and away.
- 34:04Speaker 3: Keep you updated on the film.
- 34:04Speaker 6: It's in my drive.
- 34:08Speaker 3: People want it. It wasn't... It wasn't LSU's, it was
- 34:13Speaker 3: not LSU's athletic department. In fact, they're actually trying to
- 34:16Speaker 3: help us. It was, hmm. Something else. Yeah, I'm trying
- 34:21Speaker 3: to think like how, it was who we used to
- 34:25Speaker 3: get the LSU film. Apparently, they don't want anyone sharing
- 34:29Speaker 3: the film anymore, but LSU's actually trying to help us
- 34:33Speaker 3: get it back right now. So it was like the service. Oh,
- 34:39Speaker 3: we're going to get it. Of which we use. We're
- 34:40Speaker 3: going to figure it out.
- 34:41Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 34:41Speaker 7: We're going to work through this, guys. They can't hold
- 34:44Speaker 7: us back.
- 34:45Speaker 3: I'm going to have to, like, what if I get
- 34:47Speaker 3: a handwritten note from Coach Kiffin saying, dear teacher, please
- 34:51Speaker 3: allow Matt and Jake to watch our film of our
- 34:57Speaker 3: players and break it down. Yeah. Yeah, we'll hand it in.
- 34:59Speaker 3: I mean, it's going to help with recruiting. Yeah. No, Paul, again,
- 35:06Speaker 3: it was not LSU. It was the service team. that
- 35:10Speaker 3: gives us the LSU film, and LSU's actually trying to
- 35:14Speaker 3: help us to see if there's a workaround right now.
- 35:16Speaker 7: Yeah, so, like, anybody can go and sign up and
- 35:19Speaker 7: get NFL film. Like, you can watch all 22 of
- 35:22Speaker 7: every single team in the NFL.
- 35:24Speaker 3: College is a little bit trickier to get. Yeah.
- 35:28Speaker 7: They protect it a little bit harder for whatever reason. Like,
- 35:31Speaker 7: the NFL protects its shield so hard.
- 35:33Speaker 3: But not when... You can get all 20... Anybody in
- 35:36Speaker 3: this room right now can go get all 22. Anybody
- 35:38Speaker 3: in the chat can go get all 22 of NFL.
- 35:41Speaker 3: You can't do it for college. It's like the FBI,
- 35:43Speaker 3: the CIA.
- 35:44Speaker 5: Yep.
- 35:45Speaker 3: Everybody. Homeland Security's thrown in there, too. And they said,
- 35:48Speaker 3: you know what? Let's protect the field.
- 35:50Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 35:50Speaker 3: This is... Nobody can get this. It's dumb. It's just.
- 35:54Speaker 7: It's the tech people. They probably don't watch college football.
- 35:58Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 35:58Speaker 7: We're going to get it. Don't worry. There's... There's a
- 36:06Speaker 7: couple people that know how to find a way.
- 36:07Speaker 3: It's these ones.
- 36:12Speaker 6: What? Where there's a will, there's a way.
- 36:14Speaker 3: That's right.
- 36:15Speaker 6: And we have the will.
- 36:15Speaker 3: We have a will. He finds a way. He does.
- 36:21Speaker 6: Will does find a way.
- 36:22Speaker 3: Uh-huh. There's something there. We just got a workshop.
- 36:28Speaker 6: I'm not going to lie, though. If we don't release
- 36:30Speaker 6: this episode, I'm not going to be super mad.
- 36:32Speaker 3: It wasn't very good. It wasn't very good. We had
- 36:35Speaker 3: a lot of technical difficulties. That remote was about to
- 36:37Speaker 3: get Hulk smashed by Flynn.
- 36:42Speaker 4: You didn't figure that out in rehearsals?
- 36:45Speaker 3: But rehearsals was trying to get... Rehearsals was trying to
- 36:48Speaker 3: get back into the actual film, which we did for
- 36:51Speaker 3: a short period of time. And then it wasn't working.
- 36:56Speaker 3: Jake had a radio show to go to. I stayed
- 36:59Speaker 3: until 1.15. I know. And it had to be on
- 37:01Speaker 3: air like at 1.35.
- 37:02Speaker 6: He left. He was like, you know what? Let's just
- 37:05Speaker 6: do it.
- 37:05Speaker 3: And we're like, okay. But we can't.
- 37:10Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 37:12Speaker 3: Anyway, good stuff. Go Tigers.
- 37:17Speaker 6: What would you say like the overall takeaway would have
- 37:20Speaker 6: been from people watching that film?
- 37:23Speaker 3: Why are these guys so mad looking? I actually did.
- 37:28Speaker 4: Why are they sweating so hard and so mad?
- 37:31Speaker 3: I did actually really enjoy breaking down some of that
- 37:34Speaker 3: stretch zone that we did. Yeah, let's go. Because against
- 37:37Speaker 3: a three-man front, sometimes you don't have success if you're
- 37:41Speaker 3: trying to attack it right in the middle of it.
- 37:44Speaker 3: So you hit the edges, and that was LSU's biggest runs.
- 37:46Speaker 3: It was the best job that I thought Dylan Jones
- 37:49Speaker 3: did all night was on the stretch zone, outside zone.
- 37:52Speaker 3: He was really good at.
- 37:53Speaker 7: The outside stretch, the outside zones where it's– Because you said,
- 37:57Speaker 7: I mean, he's very good at being slow and patient
- 38:03Speaker 7: to find a hole, watch the play develop.
- 38:06Speaker 3: I'm blanking on his name. Yeah, Le'Veon. Like a Le'Veon Bell,
- 38:08Speaker 3: you saw him do that forever.
- 38:10Speaker 7: It almost like he's patting a little bit, and then
- 38:12Speaker 7: all of a sudden he sees a seam, and boom,
- 38:14Speaker 7: it goes 0-60 really fast. And he's really good at that,
- 38:16Speaker 7: sticking his foot in the ground and getting upfield. But
- 38:19Speaker 7: not every play is built for that style of run.
- 38:22Speaker 7: Sometimes it's just you've got to hit it hard.
- 38:24Speaker 3: Like a gap scheme run, it's you press on power,
- 38:26Speaker 3: you press the A gap until something expands you. On counter,
- 38:30Speaker 3: it's the B gap until something expands you. Every play's
- 38:33Speaker 3: got something a little bit different. Like on an inside zone,
- 38:36Speaker 3: your shoulders are going to always stay square towards the
- 38:38Speaker 3: line of scrimmage, and you're going full speed towards the line.
- 38:42Speaker 3: And then once you find the crease that you want
- 38:43Speaker 3: to go to, it can be all the way backside,
- 38:46Speaker 3: but Full speed, you put your foot in the ground,
- 38:49Speaker 3: and you hit that crease full speed, and there's some
- 38:52Speaker 3: plays that are going to be a little bit more bouncy.
- 38:54Speaker 3: It's going to be a little bit more of a
- 38:55Speaker 3: bunny hop, bunny hop, go. So every play is going
- 38:57Speaker 3: to be a little bit different, and it was good
- 39:00Speaker 3: to see him in the back end of that game
- 39:03Speaker 3: have his best run.
- 39:04Speaker 7: Yeah, there was tons of moments from the game this
- 39:06Speaker 7: past weekend that was good teaching tape all week for
- 39:12Speaker 7: the offense. Because there's a lot of things that didn't
- 39:14Speaker 7: go great, didn't go well, couldn't run the ball very
- 39:16Speaker 7: well at times. Your mic declarations in the three down
- 39:20Speaker 7: front was tough because you got to declare the three
- 39:23Speaker 7: down and plus two linebackers in your blocking scheme. And
- 39:26Speaker 7: they were hopping around and jumping around and they'll put
- 39:27Speaker 7: safeties in, which makes your declarations.
- 39:30Speaker 3: A little bit challenging.
- 39:32Speaker 7: But at no point did LSU's offense just get beat,
- 39:35Speaker 7: like mono-y mono, man-to-man, like athletically beat. It was all communication.
- 39:40Speaker 7: It was all like playing together. It's all really good
- 39:45Speaker 7: teaching tape.
- 39:46Speaker 3: Sam Levitt.
- 39:47Speaker 7: Your feet were too fast on the majority of your
- 39:49Speaker 7: drop-back passes. And what I mean by your feet were
- 39:51Speaker 7: too fast, oh, yeah, he's a fast guy.
- 39:53Speaker 3: He's athletic. He runs.
- 39:54Speaker 7: No, I'm just meaning your drop-back, your three-step drop-back, didn't
- 39:57Speaker 7: time up necessarily with every pass-route combination. Not every three-step
- 40:02Speaker 7: drop from the gun is the same. You can't treat
- 40:05Speaker 7: every pass-route the same. And that comes with repetitions. And
- 40:08Speaker 7: I think his motor was just going a little fast
- 40:11Speaker 7: in this game, a little too hyped up, a little
- 40:12Speaker 7: too excited. Whatever it was, he was just getting past
- 40:15Speaker 7: his reason. It's a good teaching tape. It's a good film.
- 40:17Speaker 3: All right, we will take a break. More OTB when
- 40:19Speaker 3: we come back here live from the Raising Cane Studio.

- 41:39Speaker 5: OTV here live from the Raising Cane Studio.
- 41:44Speaker 6: I think Doc thinks that we're like, what's this?
- 41:46Speaker 3: Silent Disco?
- 42:10Speaker 7: I got to tell you, I went to a silent
- 42:16Speaker 7: disco one time. It was one of the funniest things
- 42:21Speaker 7: I've ever been to in my life. Have y'all been
- 42:22Speaker 7: to one of these?
- 42:23Speaker 6: My grandparents used to do them at the bar during COVID.
- 42:28Speaker 6: I've worked during one before, but I haven't participated in it.
- 42:33Speaker 6: It is hilarious.
- 42:34Speaker 7: We were at a place in Mexico, like a like
- 42:37Speaker 7: an all-inclusive place, and they had one.
- 42:39Speaker 3: You got these headphones.
- 42:40Speaker 7: You change it to different channels, so everybody, you can
- 42:42Speaker 7: listen to whatever type of.
- 42:44Speaker 3: Music you want. Everybody's got a different vibe, though. Everybody's
- 42:46Speaker 3: got a different.
- 42:46Speaker 7: Vibe, and there's people dancing all sorts of ways, but
- 42:49Speaker 7: then you just take your headphones off, and it's just
- 42:51Speaker 7: silent in the room.
- 42:52Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 42:52Speaker 7: So there's people just absolutely vibing. I feel like that's
- 42:55Speaker 7: what Doc was seeing right there with us.
- 43:00Speaker 6: Anyhow.
- 43:06Speaker 7: That was a great contribution. I'd like to go to
- 43:08Speaker 7: another one.
- 43:09Speaker 6: Should we do an OTB silent disco?
- 43:11Speaker 3: Silent disco? Yeah. Are they still a thing?
- 43:14Speaker 1: I don't know.
- 43:14Speaker 3: A silent disco tailgate.
- 43:15Speaker 4: My sister went to.
- 43:17Speaker 3: There's no way they have one in L.P. No. No.
- 43:21Speaker 3: She went to Mexico recently. Okay, I was about to say.
- 43:23Speaker 4: And the resort they were at, they like walked up
- 43:25Speaker 4: into one.
- 43:25Speaker 6: Must be a Mexico thing.
- 43:26Speaker 4: They weren't part of it, but like they saw it.
- 43:29Speaker 4: She sent me a video of it. It was wild.
- 43:31Speaker 3: That's like the Hobby Lobby sign. Dance like no one's watching.
- 43:34Speaker 7: True.
- 43:35Speaker 3: You know?
- 43:36Speaker 4: My sister was watching.
- 43:37Speaker 6: Listen to music like no one can hear it.
- 43:39Speaker 3: That's right. We'll workshop that. There's something there. There's something there.
- 43:43Speaker 3: Shout out to the Hobby Lobby.
- 43:46Speaker 7: Yeah, our silent disco is just a Mexican thing.
- 43:51Speaker 3: No, I definitely don't.
- 43:52Speaker 6: I think it gives white people the widest.
- 43:54Speaker 3: I've seen a lot of Vegas videos, too, of them.
- 43:57Speaker 4: Okay.
- 44:04Speaker 3: What should you do at a tailgate?
- 44:05Speaker 7: Just like 50 people outside of Tiger Stadium just vibing.
- 44:09Speaker 3: They'd probably think you've been over-served.
- 44:11Speaker 6: Yeah, probably.
- 44:12Speaker 3: You probably would be. Again, touche. That's kind of.
- 44:15Speaker 6: Hello, Dos Equis.
- 44:16Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 44:16Speaker 7: I think you've got to be that to go to
- 44:18Speaker 7: a silent disco.
- 44:21Speaker 3: You've got to have a good surface level. You've got
- 44:23Speaker 3: to get a base level. Yeah. I would think so.
- 44:27Speaker 3: A little liquid courage, you know? You're just not going
- 44:32Speaker 3: to go to a disco... Stone cold sober. I mean, well,
- 44:37Speaker 3: he's going to do that. We are going to have
- 44:40Speaker 3: our guy, Dr. Steven Etheridge, join us when we come back.
- 44:43Speaker 3: Hour number two of OTB.
- 44:45Speaker 1: Off the bench.
