- 0:05Welcome to The Hypnotist, the show that gives you inside
- 0:09access to cutting edge hypnosis with real clients facing
- 0:12genuine. Issues.
- 0:13Brought to you by The Hypnotherapist, Demanded by
- 0:16celebrities, CEOs and even royalty, Adam Cox.
- 0:20These recordings took place live from Adam Smith in London's
- 0:24world famous Harley Street. So get yourself comfortable and
- 0:31enjoy today's episode of The Hypnotist.
- 0:38Hi, it's Adam here now. Here's a question.
- 0:41For you do. You consider.
- 0:43Yourself an empath, and I have a feeling you might because
- 0:47there's a. Lot of people.
- 0:49That seek out hypnotherapy and content like this.
- 0:53That really. Do.
- 0:55Consider themselves empathetic. They really.
- 0:58Care about other people, they're considerate and they feel the
- 1:02energy and emotions of other people.
- 1:05So if that feels or seems like you, you should get some value
- 1:09from this session because I was working with a client that
- 1:12identified with the. Phrase the.
- 1:15Wounded empath. And they were very kind and
- 1:19considerate, very thoughtful of other people.
- 1:22But that meant them that they were very vulnerable.
- 1:26They were, they felt manipulated sometimes and they felt that
- 1:30they couldn't really choose how to be and they would obsess and
- 1:33think about other people and how they might interpret their
- 1:37behaviours. And this is designed to heal the
- 1:40wounded empath empath and to give them a sense of having the
- 1:47best of both worlds, to be kind of considerate, but not
- 1:50necessarily having to take the pain and the wounds and the
- 1:55hurtful energy of other people. And that would be an empowered
- 1:59empath. An empowered empath is someone
- 2:02that protects their own resources but can still then.
- 2:05Use those resources. To be kind and considerate for
- 2:08other people. It was a client that was going
- 2:11through a breakup and part of that breakup was them thinking
- 2:15about what could have been, may have been, should they have done
- 2:18anything different. And again, that feeds that
- 2:21wounded empath. So if you can connect with
- 2:25either the idea of feeling sad or attached to a relationship of
- 2:30the past, or that you want to heal something within, I think.
- 2:35You'll get some. Value from this session.
- 2:37It was created for an individual.
- 2:38Some of the suggestions would have been good for them and not
- 2:41quite perfect for. You so if.
- 2:43You like the idea of a. Bespoke session, there's a
- 2:46suitability. Test that you can find in the
- 2:48show notes that takes 60 seconds.
- 2:49You just click the link. Answer a few.
- 2:51Questions and it lets you know if you're suitable for hypnosis.
- 2:55But also, I've recorded a webinar that actually goes
- 2:58through how I became a hypnotherapist, what
- 3:01hypnotherapy is good for, Not quite good for some of the
- 3:04techniques and approaches. That I use.
- 3:06And also two different. Suitability tests.
- 3:09That you actually do in real time to figure out would you be
- 3:12a good candidate for hypnosis. And there's some.
- 3:15Nice bonuses at the end. Of that webinar.
- 3:17If you stay. Right to.
- 3:17The end. For now, though, find a quiet.
- 3:20Comfortable place where? You won't be distracted or
- 3:23disturbed. Relax and enjoy the session.
- 3:52Take a deep breath in, and as you breathe in, allow yourself
- 4:01to breathe in a feeling of pure acceptance, accepting everything
- 4:11good and bad. And as you exhale, release any
- 4:18emotions connected to the past, extracting wisdom but releasing
- 4:25the emotion. Breathing in acceptance and
- 4:32allow your outward breath to be a release valve of any pent up
- 4:39emotions, anything that no longer serves a purpose.
- 4:47Any regrets, any sadness, any frustration, any guilt, any
- 4:54shame. All these emotions aren't there
- 5:00to punish, they're there to influence the future.
- 5:05And when people feel intense emotions but it punishes them
- 5:13rather than. Shapes their future.
- 5:16Decisions history has a habit of repeating, and as you breathe in
- 5:28relaxation with that acceptance, allow any thoughts to come to
- 5:33the surface that need fully accepting.
- 5:44When they come to the surface, they can be released, because
- 5:50with acceptance you can set certain things free.
- 5:57Any attachments, any conditions, and you fully accept.
- 6:05Things can change quickly, sometimes effortlessly.
- 6:14There's a part deep within your subconscious mind that tries to
- 6:17protect, but it's in conflict with another part that wants to
- 6:23connect. And sometimes it feels like
- 6:30you're pulling in different directions.
- 6:36But what if the part that wants to protect can protect in a new,
- 6:43more elegant way through boundaries and standards, And
- 6:52that part wants to connect and still connect, but by respecting
- 7:00those boundaries and standards? And you don't have to audit
- 7:08every boundary and every standard, you can just decide
- 7:19based on how you feel, what would be necessary to take the
- 7:27wisdom from the past and protect you in the future while still
- 7:34making love and connection possible.
- 7:42And maybe there's a boundary that you're not willing to
- 7:46change who you are and what you value or another person, because
- 7:53maybe in the past you've de prioritised things that you
- 7:59value to accommodate someone else.
- 8:04But what if that means that you're giving up part of you the
- 8:09possibility of someone else? The paradox being, sometimes
- 8:18you've lowered your standards and moved your boundaries to
- 8:24improve the probability of something you deeply value.
- 8:33But what if the paradox is that by maintaining or increasing
- 8:38standards, you protect what's vulnerable even more, and you
- 8:46increase the probability of finding something you truly
- 8:54desire? When people feel scarcity, and
- 9:02in a dialogue that says this one has to work, it has a
- 9:08connotation that what they're considering or pursuing is
- 9:15elusive, vulnerable, fragile. And then in a dialogue, changes
- 9:25to I will have such a good life that I will only consider a
- 9:34relationship if it enhances. It suddenly means you move from
- 9:40a scarcity to abundance, weakness to strength, fear of
- 9:46loss to feeling fearless, all of which paradoxically increase the
- 9:59possibility of attracting something valuable, desirable.
- 10:10I want you to think of a place where you're at your happiest,
- 10:15maybe near the ocean, maybe somewhere else.
- 10:20And I want you to observe a version of you in your element
- 10:26where your cup isn't just full, it's overflowing, and you're at
- 10:35your happiest, and you feel fully aligned with your values.
- 10:44And notice that that version of you is less willing to
- 10:48compromise, but that version of you is more attractive.
- 11:00To those. People that share those same
- 11:02values as we plant a seed of an idea.
- 11:14The more you live your life on your terms, the higher your
- 11:20standards, the higher your confidence and self esteem, and
- 11:28the more you attract what's synergistically is aligned to
- 11:36who you are at your best. And just observe that vibrant,
- 11:45happy, fulfilled version of you. Notice what you notice
- 11:57Admiration. Perhaps respect, maybe
- 12:05inspiration. Some people believe that they
- 12:12need someone else to be complete.
- 12:17They can't be full in and of themselves.
- 12:24People use phrases like the other half and soulmate.
- 12:31What if the more complete you are as an individual, the more
- 12:39you attract someone that can enhance what is already good?
- 12:48If you're unconscious, already knows the standards, the
- 12:55boundaries, and maybe the changes required too, drift
- 12:59towards that version of you at your very best.
- 13:02Let me know by nodding your head.
- 13:04That's it. And give that part permission to
- 13:11protect you by being fulfilled. As you breathe in and breathe
- 13:19out, feel a deeper level of personal connection with
- 13:25yourself. Thank that part that was trying
- 13:35to protect, trying to make things work.
- 13:42And you realise that that part was never broken, but maybe it
- 13:48was operating with an old or ineffective strategy, the
- 13:56strategy that perhaps once made sense.
- 14:01But what if that strategy is no longer what's needed?
- 14:04In the same way, what if there's a part of you that is finally
- 14:17seen without needing to fix it, repair it, or heal it?
- 14:25You acknowledge it, you thank it.
- 14:32You instruct it to help in ways that actually will help.
- 14:39Allow that part to update any standards that just weren't
- 14:48working. They can be discarded and any
- 14:52new standards that would actually help you to be
- 14:57discerning patient. Allow those standards to be
- 15:07created. You already know there is a
- 15:12difference between feeling something and becoming it,
- 15:17between noticing someone else's state and losing your own.
- 15:23And as that awareness grows, you may find that you can still
- 15:29understand people, still sense what's happening, but from a
- 15:35place of steadiness, like watching waves without being
- 15:43pulled under by them. Find the part within you, the
- 15:54part that wants to expand, part that builds, that chooses, that
- 15:59moves forward, a part that lives life in accordance with your
- 16:05values. And you may imagine your life
- 16:10not as someone waiting, but as something already unfolding.
- 16:18Reach with direction, filled with movement, guided by what
- 16:23matters to you. And as that life becomes
- 16:29clearer, there is less need for anything or anyone to complete
- 16:34it. What if you are already
- 16:39complete? You would just like a great life
- 16:47to be enhanced with the right person.
- 16:55Deep down, maybe there's a quiet knowing that your standards were
- 17:01never too much, perhaps only temporarily set aside.
- 17:10And now, without effort, the right standards, the right
- 17:15boundaries begin to return not as rules but as reflections.
- 17:25Reflections of how you value yourself, what you'll tolerate
- 17:30and what you won't. And you may notice that holding
- 17:35those standards feels natural, especially in moments where it
- 17:43once felt difficult. Doing the difficult thing means
- 17:50that your standards and boundaries are strong.
- 17:56When you do them, it means that part within that wants to
- 18:03protect can relax. Boundaries that are clear,
- 18:11boundaries that are enforced, make every part of you feel
- 18:17safe. You've already changed.
- 18:26Change can be a wonderful thing. I want you to imagine
- 18:33interacting with others, maybe, maybe a future relationship or
- 18:41what may turn into a relationship.
- 18:44Notice that version of you with an absence of urgency.
- 18:51No desperation, no need to rush, no pressure to decide, only
- 18:59space. Desperation and scarcity of any
- 19:07kind increases pressure and creates a repulsion rather than
- 19:16attraction. The paradox being, when you give
- 19:22yourself time, you increase the probability of the right things
- 19:29happening in the right time to give yourself that space to
- 19:35notice, to experience, to understand.
- 19:43And what if, in that space, clarity emerges effortlessly?
- 19:52Because when you're not trying to make something work, you can
- 19:56finally see whether it does. If the key is the wrong key for
- 20:06the lock, forcing the key in the lock doesn't increase the
- 20:13probability of opening the lock. It increases the probability of
- 20:21damaging the lock might force the wrong key.
- 20:29If you have the space and time to find the right one, and as
- 20:36this continues to integrate, you may begin to discover that those
- 20:43wonderful feelings you looked for, connection, affection,
- 20:48attention and love are not things that need to be given to
- 20:54you. They are things you already know
- 21:00how to create in your own way, in your own time.
- 21:05And when that becomes familiar, something shifts.
- 21:14If you are the source of your own emotional needs, you
- 21:24naturally become more discerning as to whether anyone else can
- 21:30enhance what is already there. When you're used to eating
- 21:38delicious meals everyday, when there is no hunger whatsoever,
- 21:46the probability that you eat rotten, disgusting or poor
- 21:53quality food is 0. You won't do it because the need
- 22:01is already met. Because relationships are no
- 22:08longer a source of survival, they're an opportunity for
- 22:15something to be shared. And now find that really
- 22:20sensitive part within you, the one that worked so hard to feel
- 22:26everything, to understand everything, to be flexible, to
- 22:31adapt, to change, to make things work.
- 22:37A part that feels deeply may begin to change.
- 22:44Not disappearing, but evolving into something stronger and more
- 22:50discerning, able to understand without absorbing, able to
- 23:02connect without losing yourself. And in that way, you don't lose
- 23:12your empathy. You harness it, you refine it,
- 23:19you dance with it. And I wonder in the days ahead,
- 23:28you may notice a different relationship with yourself based
- 23:35on respect, not shame. Pride, not guilt, discernment
- 23:45not desperation. And don't be surprised if you
- 23:50introduce boundaries that in the past you would have been
- 23:54reluctant but now feel empowered as you unleash a new level of
- 24:01agency. Self trust, self belief, and any
- 24:09connections you choose will feel lighter.
- 24:14They are no longer carrying the weight of your happiness, only
- 24:20the possibility of enhancing it. And if a relationship can't
- 24:27enhance something that's already good, then why would you want
- 24:31it? No loss, just discernment.
- 24:36And if your unconscious is willing to make whatever changes
- 24:43enhance your life, make you feel more aligned, make you feel more
- 24:53worthy and happier in your own skin, irrespective of whoever
- 25:00else is in it, let me know by nodding your head.
- 25:03That's it. And as you go from that place of
- 25:11observing, the happy version of you feel like you're leaving has
- 25:17the happy version of you with an intention to think of life as
- 25:23it's very best, but not dependent on any one person, and
- 25:31give yourself permission to go for it.
- 25:38The closer you. Get to being that ideal version
- 25:40of you. The less you need anything from
- 25:45anyone, and paradoxically, the more likely you are to stumble
- 25:53across the very thing that when you were looking so hard for, it
- 25:59was elusive to breathe in that feeling of pure self love and
- 26:05worthiness. Thank all of the parts within
- 26:08your subconscious mind for their wonderful intentions and feel.
- 26:13It's time to work as a harmonized team.
- 26:17To live. Your very best life.
- 26:22It's time to float back to the present as you take a deep
- 26:24breath in through your nose and out through your nose.
- 26:31Wiggle your fingers and wiggle your toes.
- 26:34Connect and calibrate into the here and the now.
- 26:38As I count from 1:00 to 10:00, you will awaken a slightly
- 26:42different version of the version of you that's already making
- 26:47progress towards the very best version of yourself.
- 26:53Starting to count. 123 Waking up 456 More alert. 7-8.
- 27:01Open your eyes. Open your eyes. 910 wide awake,
