Gators Move In: Welcome Weekend | Gainesville News
UF’s move-in weekend is in full swing, with thousands of new Gators settling into dorms as volunteers—many working double shifts in the heat—help families unload cars and welcome students to campus. Resident assistants see it as a vital part of building community, while volunteers relive their own move-in memories, finding joy in helping students start their college journey. By Sunday, each volunteer will have assisted around 90 families, setting the stage for classes to officially begin on August 20th.
