A tragic loss: Sydney Watson, 27, a heroic wildland firefighter from Warrior, died in the line of duty during a deadly burnover near the Colorado-Utah border. One of three firefighters lost in the incident, Watson served with the U.S. Wildland Fire Service Rifle Helitack crew. Her funeral was held earlier this week, with a celebration of life on July 7 at Highpoint Community Church in Empire.
