- 0:51Speaker 3: So, where did everybody fly in from? Where's everybody from?
- 0:56Speaker 6: Where?
- 0:57Speaker 7: No?
- 0:57Speaker 4: I know where you're from, but are you coming from?
- 1:01Speaker 4: This morning?
- 1:03Speaker 5: This morning, I was with the wife and kids in Malibu,
- 1:07Speaker 5: in Malibu home.
- 1:08Speaker 1: I was with my partner on our farm in Eugene, Oregon,
- 1:13Speaker 1: right outside of beautiful and I love this wonderful time.
- 1:17Speaker 1: I went foraging with my family, both real and adopted,
- 1:23Speaker 1: and we had a wonderful time this morning.
- 1:25Speaker 8: But it's nice.
- 1:26Speaker 3: Sorry, do you have two families or is it that
- 1:30Speaker 3: your one family is both real and adopted to you?
- 1:33Speaker 1: Well, I like to see my real family, which are
- 1:35Speaker 1: my biological family and family by marriage and children, and
- 1:38Speaker 1: then I have my adopted family, which is my community.
- 1:41Speaker 1: So I went foraging with my community today.
- 1:44Speaker 8: Oh, with your community, my community.
- 1:45Speaker 1: They're my adopted family.
- 1:47Speaker 2: I drive in from Brentwood. I drive in from Brentwood.
- 1:51Speaker 6: Oh.
- 1:52Speaker 3: I love Brentwood. I stayed every time I come here.
- 1:57Speaker 6: Are you saying you like Brentwood.
- 1:59Speaker 4: Yes, of course I like Brentwood.
- 2:01Speaker 6: But you're eat I love Brentwood.
- 2:03Speaker 4: Would you go for fun? Well, lady, it's so embarrassing.
- 2:08Speaker 3: I was in London for my lipstick line launch and
- 2:12Speaker 3: then I had to get on a plane. It was
- 2:14Speaker 3: humiliating because my hair was a little bit, you know,
- 2:18Speaker 3: I didn't have the full ponytail, and I had a
- 2:21Speaker 3: strand falling out and it was just the most embarrassing
- 2:25Speaker 3: thing in the world.
- 2:26Speaker 1: I love embarrassment. I think embarrassment always shows me sides
- 2:30Speaker 1: of myself. I had an experience before.
- 2:32Speaker 6: You're so crazy. I don't like embarrassment. I don't like it.
- 2:35Speaker 8: I don't like it.
- 2:36Speaker 6: No, it's not for me. It's not for me.
- 2:39Speaker 5: Well, I think what's so funny about this press tour
- 2:41Speaker 5: we've been doing for Netflix and Singing Something is they've
- 2:43Speaker 5: been having us do all these different types of interviews
- 2:46Speaker 5: and challenges and competitions we went on Ellen Ellen rebooted
- 2:51Speaker 5: her show to do an interview for Netflix's Singing.
- 2:53Speaker 1: I couldn't believe there's still dust on the couch.
- 2:56Speaker 5: Yeah, she rebooted the show just because she's so excited
- 2:58Speaker 5: about this competition. But what's been so fun about this
- 3:02Speaker 5: press tour is getting closer to each other because we
- 3:05Speaker 5: were so we're so close in the show and judging
- 3:09Speaker 5: and being these coaches, these vocal coaches.
- 3:11Speaker 3: But I always say, I always say on this press tour,
- 3:14Speaker 3: the four of us are best friends. We're like the
- 3:17Speaker 3: four amigos. I've been saying that everywhere because it's true,
- 3:21Speaker 3: it's truly are.
- 3:22Speaker 6: Well, let's introduce ourselves. Huh does that sound good?
- 3:26Speaker 1: I would love that. Yeah. I mean, you you're here,
- 3:28Speaker 1: you're gonna hear a lot about us. If you watch
- 3:31Speaker 1: Netflix is Singing Something, you're certainly gonna learn a lot
- 3:34Speaker 1: about what we like and how we like to share
- 3:37Speaker 1: for people into being incredible singers. But I'll introduce myself
- 3:41Speaker 1: right now. My name is Rob Yert Richards. It's Robert.
- 3:46Speaker 1: There's a J in the middle, Rob Yert Richards, and
- 3:49Speaker 1: I am a singer. I'm a songwriter.
- 3:51Speaker 4: I've always wanted Rob jer Is. That is that Nordy.
- 3:55Speaker 1: You've been saying Rob Jert And it's Rob Yert.
- 3:58Speaker 4: What it's darling, It's spelled Rob right right?
- 4:02Speaker 8: And I call you yogurt.
- 4:04Speaker 6: I thought your name was yogurt. I really did.
- 4:07Speaker 1: That's really interesting because my name is Rob Yert.
- 4:10Speaker 2: So did you think we were calling you yogurt? Did
- 4:12Speaker 2: you think it was like a fun nickname?
- 4:14Speaker 1: I thought you were asking somebody to bring you yogurt,
- 4:17Speaker 1: That's what I thought. But Robert is it is a
- 4:21Speaker 1: Nordic tradition to have a name like that. So it
- 4:24Speaker 1: isn't necessarily technically a Nordic name, but it's a Nordic
- 4:27Speaker 1: tradition to have a name spelled like that.
- 4:32Speaker 3: You're not you're not Nordic, but you're practicing Nordic.
- 4:36Speaker 1: Yeah, I constructed my name in the in the Nordic tradition,
- 4:41Speaker 1: you did? I did?
- 4:44Speaker 4: So what do people know you from?
- 4:47Speaker 1: So you might know me? From my songs. I was
- 4:51Speaker 1: writing an album for every single capital city in the
- 4:56Speaker 1: entire South American continent. So you might know me from
- 5:01Speaker 1: my album Bogota. You might know me from my album
- 5:05Speaker 1: Mexico City. I wrote a couple of hours. You might
- 5:11Speaker 1: know me from uh Uruguay. Uruguay is the capital of
- 5:17Speaker 1: Uruguay is Uruguay. You might know me from Ketel. Ecuador
- 5:21Speaker 1: was one of the ones I did that.
- 5:23Speaker 2: Is so fun. Yogurt, you are so much fun and
- 5:25Speaker 2: it's been so fun.
- 5:27Speaker 1: Yeah, And I also wrote I wrote a song for
- 5:29Speaker 1: an Oscar about an Oscar winning song for an Oscar
- 5:32Speaker 1: winning movie, which was also really fun, but we do
- 5:34Speaker 1: not talk about it.
- 5:34Speaker 8: I mean, but your songwriter first, right, I'm.
- 5:37Speaker 1: A songwriter first, and then I let my feelings enter
- 5:42Speaker 1: into my throat and then they dance around a little bit,
- 5:45Speaker 1: and what comes out is what I have. And I
- 5:47Speaker 1: think it's fun and spiritual and I have kind of
- 5:50Speaker 1: an independent voice and I've created my own little opportunities
- 5:54Speaker 1: for myself and and that's who I am.
- 5:56Speaker 8: You remind me a little bit of when Ed Sheeron
- 5:58Speaker 8: was coming up.
- 5:59Speaker 5: When we're basically all listening to Ed Shearon's music and
- 6:02Speaker 5: we didn't know it, right, So then we finally saw
- 6:05Speaker 5: his face and we all thought he was new, but
- 6:08Speaker 5: we knew his music.
- 6:09Speaker 6: That's so true.
- 6:10Speaker 3: We were listening to Ed Sheeran in elevators and malls
- 6:14Speaker 3: and stores.
- 6:15Speaker 4: Much longer than he was around.
- 6:18Speaker 7: Right.
- 6:18Speaker 3: In a way, Shearon has been one of us for
- 6:20Speaker 3: quite a long time.
- 6:22Speaker 1: Right, So you might not know me, but you know me.
- 6:24Speaker 1: You know what I mean. You've seen me, you've heard me,
- 6:27Speaker 1: you've experienced me. But now you get to meet me.
- 6:29Speaker 1: And I'm really happy about that. Why am I still
- 6:32Speaker 1: talking about myself? I feel like I want to go
- 6:34Speaker 1: into a little clamshow and close up. Somebody else starts speaking.
- 6:38Speaker 4: Okay, okay, okay, okay.
- 6:40Speaker 3: I'm Mara Aura. I am a singer. I am known
- 6:45Speaker 3: as a pop artist. Pop is in singing, not pop
- 6:49Speaker 3: artists in Jackson Pollock.
- 6:51Speaker 1: I don't think anyone thought that.
- 6:53Speaker 6: I didn't. I don't even know what that is.
- 6:55Speaker 4: But you never know. I'm with all these artsy people
- 6:58Speaker 4: all the time. You never know. So I have a
- 7:01Speaker 4: lipstick brand, but that's not all I do.
- 7:05Speaker 3: Marra Aura lipstick smacken, That's that's the name. Of my
- 7:10Speaker 3: line and I'm just it's so embarrassing. I was just
- 7:14Speaker 3: in London promoting it and I accidentally mispronounced the name
- 7:19Speaker 3: as Marra Aura's Lipstick smirkin and everyone was laughing in
- 7:24Speaker 3: the minds at me. I'm pretty sure because that's not
- 7:27Speaker 3: the name. The name is Mara Aura's Lipsticks lipsick. Oh
- 7:31Speaker 3: my god, I just did it again. I'm authentically embarrassed.
- 7:36Speaker 5: Seek Yeah, what happened there sounded authentic because that sounded
- 7:39Speaker 5: like a tongue twister. But you switching it from smacking
- 7:42Speaker 5: to smirkins sounded like I don't understand how you did.
- 7:46Speaker 3: Oh my god, Robin, You're so silly. Are you suggesting
- 7:50Speaker 3: that I would intentionally create an embarrassing moment for someone
- 7:55Speaker 3: to TikTok, clip it and duet or stitch with their
- 8:00Speaker 3: most embarrassing moments with hashtag my Marra Ora lipstick smacking
- 8:05Speaker 3: embarrassing moment because that would never.
- 8:09Speaker 4: Happen to me.
- 8:10Speaker 8: Okay.
- 8:11Speaker 4: Anyway, I'm a pop artist.
- 8:12Speaker 3: People know me for my album lip Banging and maney
- 8:18Speaker 3: His throughout the years, and I'm so excited to be
- 8:21Speaker 3: fostering a new generation of youth singer.
- 8:24Speaker 4: Yes, in Netflix. Is singing something Marra famously?
- 8:28Speaker 5: Yeah, go ahead, go ahead, You famously have one album
- 8:31Speaker 5: and fifty singles.
- 8:34Speaker 4: Well, if that's interesting.
- 8:36Speaker 3: You pay people according to a certain scale, depending on
- 8:40Speaker 3: whether it's single, whether it's an album, So this is
- 8:43Speaker 3: cheaper and mirror.
- 8:44Speaker 1: I have a question that has always been bubbling in
- 8:47Speaker 1: my heart's mind, Anne, I want to tell I wanted
- 8:50Speaker 1: to ask it to you, which is you know, there's
- 8:53Speaker 1: a lot of rumors that lip banging is secretly about
- 8:55Speaker 1: oral sex. Would you want to answer that top of
- 8:58Speaker 1: the interview answer.
- 9:00Speaker 2: God, I'm so embarrassed that you would bring that up,
- 9:03Speaker 2: are you it's just lip banging?
- 9:05Speaker 1: The phrase I just.
- 9:07Speaker 3: I'm listen, Rob Jared, I'm blushed. The idea that lip
- 9:12Speaker 3: banging is about I assume you mean fanny lips slapping together.
- 9:16Speaker 3: Is that what you mean by banny lips but lips? No,
- 9:20Speaker 3: a Fanny is a China at least where I'm from. Oh,
- 9:23Speaker 3: my goodness, which is Britain, General Britain.
- 9:26Speaker 1: Oh my goodness, I'm so embarrassed about talking about such things.
- 9:30Speaker 6: My eyelashes are gonna fall out.
- 9:31Speaker 3: Oh my god, you're so cute. Stop you're too cute.
- 9:34Speaker 3: You're too cute anyway. I enough about me and Marra
- 9:38Speaker 3: Aorra's banging lip black.
- 9:45Speaker 4: Oh my god, I'm so embarrassed.
- 9:54Speaker 2: Hi, guys, what's up. I'm Polly Parker, and I am
- 9:57Speaker 2: the mean one. I I.
- 10:05Speaker 6: Mean the contestants. I am the mean one.
- 10:09Speaker 2: I do a lot of mean things. I kind of
- 10:11Speaker 2: ripped them apart. I let them know the real deal.
- 10:13Speaker 2: And I'm the mean one. Yep, that's eating.
- 10:17Speaker 4: So awesome that you're doing that.
- 10:18Speaker 2: Yeah, I had music career. A music career was so good.
- 10:22Speaker 2: It was so great, and it was a lot of success,
- 10:25Speaker 2: but it didn't take off the way we want. But
- 10:27Speaker 2: that's all right because now I'm a big music person
- 10:31Speaker 2: and a music producer, and so now I'm the mean one.
- 10:33Speaker 3: You're so big and you're so huge, and you really
- 10:36Speaker 3: took off. I've always wondered, this is kind of a
- 10:40Speaker 3: cheeky question. How old are you?
- 10:42Speaker 6: I well, when I was famous, I was seventeen.
- 10:48Speaker 3: Okay, And how long were you famous for? Again, it
- 10:50Speaker 3: was seventeen.
- 10:55Speaker 2: I didn't trying to censor it out, you know, Okay,
- 11:02Speaker 2: it is.
- 11:03Speaker 8: It's a powerful way you edit yourself. Yeah. I love
- 11:07Speaker 8: when you yourself.
- 11:08Speaker 2: Like you guys don't hear my age. I'll tell you, guys,
- 11:11Speaker 2: my age is eh.
- 11:13Speaker 4: I love you do all your own bleeps.
- 11:16Speaker 8: It is really fantastically, I really do.
- 11:18Speaker 3: It really helps when you're being mean too, because a
- 11:21Speaker 3: lot of times you'll go off with your mother, no talent,
- 11:25Speaker 3: piece of you nailed it.
- 11:28Speaker 6: That's exactly what happens to me.
- 11:30Speaker 4: It's okay, darling.
- 11:31Speaker 2: Yeah, so that's kind of me. I'm the mean one,
- 11:33Speaker 2: and I was famous. I used to be a pop star,
- 11:36Speaker 2: but now in a country music star. But now I'm
- 11:38Speaker 2: doing this show and it's great.
- 11:40Speaker 1: Yeah, And it's really been exciting to see your career
- 11:43Speaker 1: beginning to blossom back up.
- 11:45Speaker 6: I'm getting a lot of great press now. It's really fun.
- 11:48Speaker 1: Actually your I think the first thing I saw it
- 11:52Speaker 1: wasn't your new single, and it wasn't you getting any gigs,
- 11:55Speaker 1: but your Halloween mask is the number one.
- 11:58Speaker 2: Number one Halloween mask all Party City and any pop
- 12:01Speaker 2: up Halloween star.
- 12:02Speaker 6: It's crazy.
- 12:03Speaker 8: It is so terrifying, it's so scary.
- 12:06Speaker 4: It's so round.
- 12:07Speaker 6: It's very round. Yeah.
- 12:09Speaker 2: Well my face is notoriously round, that's the thing about it.
- 12:12Speaker 2: And that's what I was famous. For us having a
- 12:14Speaker 2: round face and being able to sing.
- 12:17Speaker 3: You think everything you say that's mean cuts deeper. It's
- 12:20Speaker 3: from someone with a round face. Normally you think of
- 12:23Speaker 3: criticism as people with rectangular faces.
- 12:26Speaker 2: It's like, people aren't expecting me to be the mean one.
- 12:29Speaker 2: And I think that's why Netflix is singing something feels different.
- 12:32Speaker 2: You know, they don't expect me to be the mean one.
- 12:33Speaker 2: But I cut throat. I really, I really let him know.
- 12:37Speaker 2: And the response has been great. I mean, the online
- 12:39Speaker 2: just because we dropped the trailer. It's been really fun
- 12:41Speaker 2: to see the responses about how how people are excited
- 12:44Speaker 2: about how mean I am, like saying like, she's a stupid,
- 12:47Speaker 2: stupid idiot, why is she being so mean?
- 12:49Speaker 6: What's wrong with her? So it's really fun.
- 12:50Speaker 4: That's great, that's so fun, And I'm so happy for you.
- 12:55Speaker 1: Our final judge.
- 12:57Speaker 8: Hey, what's up, guys. It's Robin Thick.
- 13:02Speaker 1: Robin. I can't believe we got you from that.
- 13:06Speaker 3: It's so amazing because I knew I already knew you obviously,
- 13:11Speaker 3: but hearing you say your name out loud, it's just
- 13:15Speaker 3: it fills me with such joy to know that Robin
- 13:17Speaker 3: Thick is here.
- 13:18Speaker 2: It's so crazy that we actually got Robin Thick.
- 13:22Speaker 3: Now, how do you manage your schedule with the voice
- 13:27Speaker 3: or no, not the voice, the singer and Netflix is
- 13:31Speaker 3: singing something that must be one heck of a schedule insane.
- 13:35Speaker 5: Yeah, well, the mass singer, I am.
- 13:39Speaker 8: So I don't think this is for the listeners.
- 13:43Speaker 5: Even though this isn't a scripted television show, we still
- 13:46Speaker 5: do have call sheets. We have call sheets, and I
- 13:50Speaker 5: am not first on the call sheet for the mask singer.
- 13:53Speaker 6: Who is and.
- 13:56Speaker 4: Ken?
- 13:56Speaker 8: Ken?
- 13:57Speaker 5: It's Ken, and I love Ken and I love working
- 14:00Speaker 5: with Ken. I love Ken, and I love working with Ken.
- 14:04Speaker 5: But for Christmas this year, I asked for Santa. I asked,
- 14:07Speaker 5: I asked for.
- 14:10Speaker 4: You asked for Santa for Christmas.
- 14:13Speaker 1: That's like when the genie you asked him to give
- 14:15Speaker 1: you all the more.
- 14:17Speaker 5: I asked just for Santah because I said, this is
- 14:19Speaker 5: just be easier. And then second of all, I asked,
- 14:25Speaker 5: I said, I want to be top of the call sheet.
- 14:28Speaker 5: And I and I sat down with my wife and
- 14:30Speaker 5: my kids and we talked about future planning because a
- 14:32Speaker 5: mass singer, we only shoot four months out of the
- 14:35Speaker 5: year and I I want I want to do more.
- 14:40Speaker 5: I wanted to do more, so I reached out to
- 14:43Speaker 5: my agents. My agents told Netflix, Robin wants to do more.
- 14:49Speaker 5: And that's kind of believe it or not, how Netflix
- 14:53Speaker 5: is singing something started because I'm an EP. Everyone at
- 14:56Speaker 5: this table is an EP of the show, which is huge, huge.
- 15:00Speaker 6: I gotta go into a lot of the creativity.
- 15:02Speaker 8: Yeah, and I think we could start. I think we
- 15:04Speaker 8: could start.
- 15:05Speaker 1: Yeah, we have to talk about why this show as
- 15:07Speaker 1: a singing show is completely different than any other sings.
- 15:10Speaker 5: Different, different, And that's what I said. I said to Netflix.
- 15:13Speaker 5: I sat down with them and I said, are you
- 15:15Speaker 5: ready to play ball?
- 15:16Speaker 6: Hey?
- 15:19Speaker 3: How this guy pops onto every zoom By the way,
- 15:22Speaker 3: every zoom session, you know, he's.
- 15:23Speaker 5: A drink, you know, on zoom when the audio it
- 15:27Speaker 5: doesn't sit the audio to then start yet it's just
- 15:30Speaker 5: a face and it asks you if audio.
- 15:33Speaker 8: Zinc That's usually when I go heo. So you can't
- 15:37Speaker 8: really hear it.
- 15:38Speaker 5: But so I sat down with Netflix and uh, when
- 15:42Speaker 5: Santa granted my wish and.
- 15:45Speaker 3: I sat down, Okay, wait, so did Santa?
- 15:49Speaker 4: How did this material?
- 15:50Speaker 6: Loze?
- 15:51Speaker 4: So did you ask Santa? He wrote a letter to
- 15:53Speaker 4: Santa and then Netflix cold.
- 15:55Speaker 1: He asked for Santa.
- 15:56Speaker 4: But did Santa cold Netflix and pull some strings.
- 16:00Speaker 5: It was Christmas. Let's be let's be clear. I asked
- 16:04Speaker 5: in a letter to Santa for what I wanted for Christmas.
- 16:06Speaker 5: It was for Santa and for another show. Okay, he
- 16:11Speaker 5: wrote back, thanks for the cookies, Merry Christmas.
- 16:13Speaker 8: You can't have me, but I'll give you a show.
- 16:16Speaker 5: And a couple months later, after I was sitting down
- 16:18Speaker 5: with my agents and talking to them, Netflix came to
- 16:21Speaker 5: the table and they said, we're ready to play ball.
- 16:23Speaker 8: What do you want to do?
- 16:24Speaker 5: And I sat down and I said, I want to
- 16:25Speaker 5: work with artists. I want to work with more songwriters.
- 16:30Speaker 5: I want to work with yes, the people that I'm
- 16:32Speaker 5: sitting here with today, I want to work with more artists.
- 16:35Speaker 5: And I want to get what I love about the
- 16:38Speaker 5: voice that I don't have on mess singer that I
- 16:40Speaker 5: wanted to do, which is a team based mentorship, which
- 16:45Speaker 5: we have on Netflix's singing. We have, we have mentorships
- 16:49Speaker 5: and we have teams. But but different than the voice.
- 16:53Speaker 2: Well, this is how it's different is there's one person
- 16:56Speaker 2: who's performing, and there's one person who's singing that's behind
- 17:00Speaker 2: the curtain and you have to figure out who matches
- 17:02Speaker 2: whose voice the best and then push that.
- 17:04Speaker 5: And we are mentoring people financially, socially, emotionally, and musically.
- 17:13Speaker 5: So we're not just mentor religious.
- 17:16Speaker 6: And so we're all religious.
- 17:19Speaker 1: Well religious, I'm really religious.
- 17:25Speaker 4: Different religious.
- 17:26Speaker 8: Yeah, and we don't need to go.
- 17:28Speaker 3: Into detail that privately off camera. All of my mentees
- 17:32Speaker 3: have been two jurdre in a very specific religion.
- 17:36Speaker 8: Yeah, okay, love that.
- 17:37Speaker 5: So then Netflix brought to table a short list of
- 17:39Speaker 5: a bunch of people and then YadA, YadA, here we
- 17:41Speaker 5: are with these people here to Yeah.
- 17:43Speaker 6: Yeah, so let's talk about how it's different.
- 17:45Speaker 1: Yeah, so let's talk about how it's different. So the
- 17:48Speaker 1: biggest difference, I guess is with the mentorships is it's
- 17:51Speaker 1: all encompassing and it doesn't stop once the show is over.
- 17:57Speaker 1: So now that we have been on the show, and
- 18:00Speaker 1: if you're contestant on the show, it continues in perpetuity
- 18:02Speaker 1: until Netflix decides it's over. So these people were going
- 18:06Speaker 1: to be checking in with them even if they've lost.
- 18:08Speaker 1: We check in with them for years and years and years.
- 18:11Speaker 5: And what's so powerful about these mentorships that isn't like
- 18:15Speaker 5: the voice or anything else. Is that we aren't picking
- 18:19Speaker 5: the artists, and the artists aren't picking us. We let
- 18:21Speaker 5: the universe pick it. So similar to the way the
- 18:25Speaker 5: chair spins, we are spinning okay, and we wait for
- 18:31Speaker 5: the batteries to die on the spin for us to
- 18:35Speaker 5: naturally see who we turn around for.
- 18:38Speaker 1: And then we get up and we look for signs hummingbirds, caterpillars,
- 18:41Speaker 1: things that maybe higher power is telling us this is
- 18:45Speaker 1: the person need to go with.
- 18:46Speaker 2: And like I said right at the beginning, too, again
- 18:50Speaker 2: there's a singer behind a curtain and a performer in front,
- 18:52Speaker 2: and one is lip singing to the ones behind the curtain,
- 18:55Speaker 2: and one's performing, and we get to choose who we
- 18:57Speaker 2: want to eliminate. Every week we either get an eliment
- 19:00Speaker 2: the person in the front or the person in.
- 19:01Speaker 1: The back exactly. And what's the difference between performing and singing?
- 19:05Speaker 2: I would say performing is lip singing in this one.
- 19:08Speaker 2: So it's basically it's seen singing in the rain where
- 19:11Speaker 2: the woman is singing behind and the woman is singing
- 19:14Speaker 2: in front.
- 19:16Speaker 3: And so most I would say singing shows are shot
- 19:19Speaker 3: over a period of months.
- 19:21Speaker 4: Ours is shot over a period of decades. Right. So
- 19:24Speaker 4: we've been working on.
- 19:25Speaker 3: This one for ten years because as you said, as
- 19:28Speaker 3: Rogard said, we have to check in rubiod Someday I'll
- 19:33Speaker 3: get it right.
- 19:34Speaker 1: I hope. So we have to be working for ten years,
- 19:37Speaker 1: keep going, oh.
- 19:38Speaker 4: My god, oh my god.
- 19:41Speaker 6: Stop.
- 19:43Speaker 4: We have to continue checking in with the contestants.
- 19:45Speaker 3: So we I was ten years younger when this started,
- 19:50Speaker 3: which means you must.
- 19:51Speaker 4: Ah exactly, and so we have to continue in these
- 19:57Speaker 4: checkpoints in our lives.
- 19:58Speaker 3: And what's so interesting is that a lot of these
- 20:01Speaker 3: contestants are not doing well and some I will say
- 20:06Speaker 3: two are no longer with us.
- 20:08Speaker 6: No, two of might have died. Two of them might
- 20:10Speaker 6: have died.
- 20:10Speaker 3: But it's so sweet the way you continue to visit
- 20:14Speaker 3: your gravestones. And we have an equal airtime, equal air,
- 20:19Speaker 3: equal air well airtime. So whatever five minutes you would
- 20:22Speaker 3: have spent with those contestants, were they still with it.
- 20:25Speaker 2: And let me say it's it feels weird to be
- 20:31Speaker 2: mean to a gravestone.
- 20:33Speaker 8: But that's but that's your character arc, that's who you are.
- 20:36Speaker 4: Set in perpetuity.
- 20:38Speaker 6: So there's something we can do.
- 20:39Speaker 2: There's something weird about ripping apart somebody who's buried six
- 20:42Speaker 2: feet under.
- 20:43Speaker 6: But I'll do it.
- 20:44Speaker 2: I'll do it, and I'll get and I'll lay into them.
- 20:45Speaker 2: Because they're not singing anymore. I go kind of like,
- 20:48Speaker 2: where's your work ethic gun, Yeah, are you pursuing?
- 20:51Speaker 1: I like it when you bring celebrity guest judges to
- 20:54Speaker 1: help you mentor them. So you when you brought Smokey
- 20:57Speaker 1: Robinson too, that Smoky.
- 20:59Speaker 6: Robbins said it looked at the grave and did not
- 21:01Speaker 6: know what to do.
- 21:02Speaker 1: Oh.
- 21:02Speaker 5: I loved when you brought Tam from Queer Eye and
- 21:05Speaker 5: you put different ties on the grave.
- 21:08Speaker 4: The way they look at the grave is so interesting.
- 21:10Speaker 4: It's so different. It's so good to different.
- 21:13Speaker 2: Perspectives and they really helped. I mean those some of
- 21:16Speaker 2: the fast when you got.
- 21:17Speaker 4: Jeff Ross to roast the gravestone, that was.
- 21:20Speaker 2: I don't know why we did that. It wasn't really
- 21:24Speaker 2: singing oriented, but I man, it was funny when Jeff
- 21:27Speaker 2: Ross roasted those gravestones.
- 21:29Speaker 1: Yeah, that's funny. And it's been fun to see everyone's processes.
- 21:33Speaker 6: Right, some years have died. We've been following these for
- 21:36Speaker 6: ten years.
- 21:36Speaker 2: I mean a lot of them have had musical careers
- 21:39Speaker 2: and they've ended a lot of them never had. It's like,
- 21:41Speaker 2: at this point, you should have had it.
- 21:42Speaker 1: At this point, might not live on an island. It's
- 21:45Speaker 1: been really fun.
- 21:46Speaker 4: Oh so you right? You mentored them onto an island.
- 21:53Speaker 1: In the Bermuda Triangle, a little child island, Radyards Island. Yeah,
- 21:58Speaker 1: and it's been really amazing. And the experiences and the
- 22:01Speaker 1: revelations we've made, they are so I will say, they
- 22:04Speaker 1: are absolutely addicted to sugar, and it's been hard to
- 22:07Speaker 1: get them off. But other than that, we've been having
- 22:10Speaker 1: so much fun.
- 22:11Speaker 4: Sugar. It's purest fault.
- 22:12Speaker 1: It's just Caine. They're just constantly constantly on Cane and
- 22:18Speaker 1: I say, and I see, show me your teeth even
- 22:19Speaker 1: not on Caane. Haven't you even non on Caine? And
- 22:22Speaker 1: I tell them you can't. No on Caine. If we're
- 22:24Speaker 1: gonna sing, it's gonna rotch your teeth. And no pop
- 22:26Speaker 1: star has bad teeth.
- 22:27Speaker 8: It's such good, too, is so good.
- 22:30Speaker 1: She is so good, but we gotta be careful. She
- 22:33Speaker 1: lost to Molo last week.
- 22:35Speaker 4: That's so sad. On Cane, it's sad the show doesn't
- 22:39Speaker 4: give us dentals.
- 22:40Speaker 1: I wish, I wish the show gave us dental.
- 22:42Speaker 5: But what I love about the show is we still
- 22:44Speaker 5: get the studio aspect from back then in the early nineties,
- 22:47Speaker 5: what people loved about American Idol. Yeah, right, so we
- 22:51Speaker 5: go back. So we come back from the triangle.
- 22:53Speaker 8: We come back.
- 22:54Speaker 5: Unfortunately the dead can't come, but we we go back
- 22:58Speaker 5: to the studio.
- 22:59Speaker 4: There's you can still vote.
- 23:02Speaker 3: I have eliminated something backslash vote slash now.
- 23:08Speaker 2: So basically how it works is we have filmed ten
- 23:11Speaker 2: years of footage and we are finally ready to put
- 23:14Speaker 2: up the competition.
- 23:15Speaker 8: Right, and that will air live.
- 23:18Speaker 6: That's going to be airing live.
- 23:19Speaker 2: And also they've worked out an AI machine where we
- 23:22Speaker 2: can vote pre so we can actually go back and
- 23:25Speaker 2: see the results of something ten years later.
- 23:27Speaker 6: Because we filmed all the difference, you.
- 23:29Speaker 3: Can see what we describe as the butterfly effect. Right,
- 23:33Speaker 3: So we are going to have episodes where you go
- 23:36Speaker 3: back in time and like the AI thing, you get
- 23:39Speaker 3: to see what would have happened if one person had
- 23:43Speaker 3: stayed in one round.
- 23:45Speaker 1: And so when it does come down to voting, an
- 23:48Speaker 1: AI generated version of one of your singers, Polly could
- 23:50Speaker 1: beat one of my living performers.
- 23:52Speaker 2: I'm so excited to see if that happens, It's going
- 23:55Speaker 2: to be interesting.
- 23:55Speaker 8: It's all the best parts of American idols.
- 23:58Speaker 3: The voice, yea, the best part of American idol because
- 24:01Speaker 3: we say the phrase you're going to Hollywood.
- 24:04Speaker 7: We do, Yes, we do, And I will say it's
- 24:07Speaker 7: it's really fascinating on a kind of associate economic standpoint
- 24:12Speaker 7: and you know, a standpoint for all of humanity because AI,
- 24:15Speaker 7: we love them.
- 24:16Speaker 1: They helped us imagine what it would be like if
- 24:20Speaker 1: COVID didn't happen, so so we completely h brought our
- 24:25Speaker 1: singers through this imagined world of if COVID didn't exist.
- 24:29Speaker 2: It's great. So if you guys are following, I'm pretty
- 24:31Speaker 2: sure it's very clear.
- 24:33Speaker 5: We have all the best parts of American it's the
- 24:36Speaker 5: mass singer.
- 24:37Speaker 2: So you guys got to watch end vote because this
- 24:39Speaker 2: is one of the few Netflix shows that will be
- 24:41Speaker 2: released weekly instead of all at once.
- 24:46Speaker 5: And also, what I love about our show because I
- 24:48Speaker 5: remember all of us when we finally hired you guys,
- 24:51Speaker 5: brought you guys on as EPs, which was one of
- 24:53Speaker 5: the best days of my life.
- 24:54Speaker 2: I'll just say, better than better than your child's birth.
- 24:59Speaker 8: All four of them.
- 24:59Speaker 5: Yes, So when you all came in. We said, I
- 25:04Speaker 5: hate that there's always one winner. When clay Aken won
- 25:08Speaker 5: or did he lose?
- 25:09Speaker 1: He lost.
- 25:10Speaker 5: When Ruben stuttered one and clay Aken lost, I lost
- 25:15Speaker 5: my goddamn mind.
- 25:16Speaker 8: Okay, I lost it, and Ruben Robin Thick never loses it. Okay.
- 25:22Speaker 5: So we all decided that there's not just going to
- 25:26Speaker 5: be a winner. There's going to be a winner, a
- 25:29Speaker 5: best personality winner.
- 25:31Speaker 6: A mayor.
- 25:32Speaker 8: There's a there's a mayor, there's a banker, and there's
- 25:38Speaker 8: a you the hottest bitch in this place.
- 25:41Speaker 6: Yeah, Robin really put that reward.
- 25:46Speaker 9: And there's an angel gets to when they die, when
- 25:50Speaker 9: they reached the end of their mortal coils, when they
- 25:54Speaker 9: shed them, there is an opportunity for them to be
- 25:57Speaker 9: resuscitated into backed into the world.
- 26:01Speaker 4: Of the living. And it's interesting because the audience votes.
- 26:04Speaker 3: So normally you would think, oh, we'll just revive the
- 26:07Speaker 3: dead players, but so bad they have.
- 26:09Speaker 2: They have not one audience and one dead bear has
- 26:12Speaker 2: been dead, has been officially kicked off.
- 26:15Speaker 1: So it's we broken this very exclusive, one of a
- 26:19Speaker 1: kind deal never before done with the Angel of Death
- 26:22Speaker 1: and a dream I had and it's so exciting because
- 26:25Speaker 1: I think it's.
- 26:26Speaker 6: Such a great connection you have, Yogurt.
- 26:28Speaker 1: I can't believe it.
- 26:29Speaker 8: I mean when he said, say that was the second
- 26:31Speaker 8: best day of my life.
- 26:32Speaker 1: He came to me in a dream. He said, I
- 26:33Speaker 1: want to make a deal, and I said, okay, but
- 26:34Speaker 1: Kennedy about my reality show. And I say, what is
- 26:37Speaker 1: the price at this deal? The price of the deal,
- 26:40Speaker 1: he said, I won't know until I reached the end
- 26:43Speaker 1: of my road.
- 26:44Speaker 6: But it's really fun, guys.
- 26:45Speaker 2: It's been really great just for the last ten years,
- 26:48Speaker 2: getting to know my team and my connections has been
- 26:51Speaker 2: one of the most rewarding things in my life.
- 26:53Speaker 6: To give back like that, I would.
- 26:54Speaker 1: Like to discuss that. I would like to communicate from
- 26:55Speaker 1: our hearts for two or mouths to each other's ears
- 26:58Speaker 1: about that, because I think it's really exciting that we
- 27:00Speaker 1: are in mentor positions. And I would love to know
- 27:02Speaker 1: what it's like for you guys because we're performing for
- 27:05Speaker 1: so long or for a brief period of time, ah
- 27:08Speaker 1: years ago. I would like to know what it's like
- 27:13Speaker 1: for you guys to be leaders in this way.
- 27:15Speaker 3: Oh, it's the most rewarding thing I've ever done. It
- 27:19Speaker 3: is so good to give back because I all my Marauders,
- 27:25Speaker 3: as I call them, that's what the team is called,
- 27:28Speaker 3: because I'm Maraura lip smack in and and so it's
- 27:35Speaker 3: a little play on words, Maraura Marauders. So my Marauders,
- 27:42Speaker 3: I meet with them so closely, so intensely. I get
- 27:46Speaker 3: them in a conference room in Burbank and I call
- 27:50Speaker 3: in and they gather around the phone and I tell them,
- 27:54Speaker 3: my babies, you can be anything you want to be.
- 27:59Speaker 3: You can be absolutely anything you want to be. And
- 28:03Speaker 3: I do this for probably ten minutes at a time
- 28:06Speaker 3: every three to four months. So they're getting individual, one
- 28:11Speaker 3: on one, one of a kind advice that I would
- 28:14Speaker 3: never give to the outside world, and they are turning
- 28:18Speaker 3: into wonderful little singers. I'm also helping them with entrepreneurship.
- 28:25Speaker 3: I have this one contestant who I'm in love with,
- 28:28Speaker 3: I'm gaga over, and she is coming out with her
- 28:32Speaker 3: own mascarer line. Her name is Ashley. Her line's name
- 28:38Speaker 3: is Ashley ca Power and Mascow for the Modern Woman.
- 28:43Speaker 3: And you can buy that available soon only on TikTok shop.
- 28:49Speaker 4: And so I'm so excited.
- 28:51Speaker 3: For not only my singers, but the many brand deals
- 28:56Speaker 3: and endorsements and products that they themselves are going to
- 28:59Speaker 3: launch as a result of the singing.
- 29:01Speaker 2: Yeah, it's like the craziest thing that's happened to one
- 29:04Speaker 2: of your one of your marauders over the last ten years.
- 29:07Speaker 3: Well, one of my marauders. She really wanted to get
- 29:11Speaker 3: into oil, and I said, you go, girl, you do that.
- 29:15Speaker 3: I trust you. I believe in you one hundred percent.
- 29:20Speaker 3: But it got into some legal territory where she was
- 29:23Speaker 3: drilling for oil in people's homes. And I got a
- 29:27Speaker 3: lot of calls, and my lawyers advised me to severtisee
- 29:32Speaker 3: with this marauder, but unfortunately we can't.
- 29:35Speaker 6: No, I heard that, and so you got her to
- 29:37Speaker 6: sing her way out of it, right.
- 29:39Speaker 3: And so she sang her way out of it. I
- 29:41Speaker 3: got her to sing really really bad so that when
- 29:44Speaker 3: this airs, America will hopefully God willing vote her off
- 29:50Speaker 3: and to get off my back.
- 29:53Speaker 8: That's a good producer.
- 29:55Speaker 3: Because it's the thing about these like I, it's like,
- 29:58Speaker 3: why would I be legally responsible?
- 30:00Speaker 8: Right?
- 30:00Speaker 3: Well, to the deal with this contract is that we
- 30:02Speaker 3: are adopting these people.
- 30:04Speaker 1: We're there guardians.
- 30:07Speaker 5: It's a weird part that Netflix didn't have a saying
- 30:11Speaker 5: that we.
- 30:12Speaker 6: They did not have a saying. You pushed for it, right.
- 30:14Speaker 3: Robin, Because we have to make sure that there are
- 30:18Speaker 3: stakes to these mentorship relationships. We have to make sure
- 30:22Speaker 3: that there are long standing ratifications that we're.
- 30:24Speaker 4: Not just turning a chair because of a sob story.
- 30:28Speaker 5: Yes, let me tell you when you were working on
- 30:30Speaker 5: the Mass Singer and they just take off the mask
- 30:33Speaker 5: and you learn who it is and that's it, and
- 30:36Speaker 5: that's fucking it and there are no steaks and I
- 30:41Speaker 5: don't go home with anybody and nothing changes and it
- 30:46Speaker 5: was just Hilary Duff under the dental f loss mask.
- 30:52Speaker 6: Yeah what then? What?
- 30:55Speaker 8: So that's what I said to Netflix.
- 30:57Speaker 5: I said, we need everlasting steaks that change the game,
- 31:02Speaker 5: and they said, okay, we'll look the other way.
- 31:04Speaker 1: I heard you try to steal some of the outfits sometimes.
- 31:07Speaker 1: I heard you put them under your shirt at the mess.
- 31:11Speaker 1: I'm really really good friends with Jenny McCarthy. I knew that.
- 31:14Speaker 8: I knew that I should I should have known better.
- 31:16Speaker 5: Jenny, she can't keep a cigarett to hold her fucking
- 31:19Speaker 5: tits out. What that's the saying we used to say
- 31:25Speaker 5: in Malibu when I was younger, so so I yes,
- 31:31Speaker 5: I put them under my shirts because I believe it
- 31:33Speaker 5: or not, I get very beloaated anyway.
- 31:37Speaker 3: You put them under your shirts to hide how bugged
- 31:40Speaker 3: you are, because I'm because I have a gluten analogy
- 31:45Speaker 3: and my stomach blows up like a balloon.
- 31:47Speaker 2: By the last ten years having crazy for me, I've been.
- 31:50Speaker 2: It's been tough being mean, but I love being mean.
- 31:52Speaker 2: It's been the great feedback. I think what the viewers
- 31:55Speaker 2: are we.
- 31:55Speaker 5: Should we should tell the listeners that when you came on,
- 31:59Speaker 5: we told you to be mean.
- 32:00Speaker 6: It was.
- 32:01Speaker 2: It was a little bit of symbiosis in my career.
- 32:03Speaker 2: You know, I was looking for a new avenue. I
- 32:05Speaker 2: was like the pretty girl who is only nice and
- 32:08Speaker 2: only seen with daisies, and only seen with flowers, and
- 32:10Speaker 2: only see with an acoustic guitar.
- 32:11Speaker 6: And I needed a switch.
- 32:12Speaker 2: I needed to shift up because if I was gonna
- 32:14Speaker 2: keep my career going for another hot years, I needed
- 32:17Speaker 2: something different.
- 32:18Speaker 8: And you're on the precipice of hot and quirky, and.
- 32:21Speaker 3: Your so close you just have to lean the ship
- 32:28Speaker 3: to one side.
- 32:30Speaker 2: So somebody said, if you're mean, you're hot, and and
- 32:32Speaker 2: I thought that, but also mean could be quirky, So
- 32:35Speaker 2: I mean.
- 32:36Speaker 8: It is cheaper than a nose job.
- 32:37Speaker 5: I told my wife that, you told your wife that,
- 32:41Speaker 5: So your wife is mean?
- 32:42Speaker 8: You now, yes, and I regret that.
- 32:44Speaker 1: Day I told you started being mean?
- 32:46Speaker 8: Yes, And I wish I could.
- 32:47Speaker 2: Buyers tell you wife that, So I started being mean.
- 32:53Speaker 2: The next ten years, it's been great. I've been loving it.
- 32:56Speaker 2: My relationships are so great. Everybody is very intimidated by me.
- 33:00Speaker 2: They don't know what's gonna come out of my mouth
- 33:01Speaker 2: and what I'm gonna say. And every day is a
- 33:03Speaker 2: new day, and I love it. They all live in
- 33:06Speaker 2: my big house and we figure it out on the way.
- 33:09Speaker 2: They're kind of like worship me in a weird way,
- 33:12Speaker 2: but not in a big way.
- 33:13Speaker 6: You know.
- 33:13Speaker 2: It's like kind of like a fun cute thing where
- 33:16Speaker 2: like if eggs are served, they know I'm gonna flip,
- 33:19Speaker 2: but I don't always flip on eggs, and sometimes I
- 33:21Speaker 2: asks for eggs, and whoever it makes eggs first get
- 33:24Speaker 2: surprized and the price I.
- 33:26Speaker 3: Just really quickly we should jot down. Sorry, ep nonsense.
- 33:30Speaker 3: If eggs are served, you know she's gonna flip. That's
- 33:34Speaker 3: a T shirt anyway, go on.
- 33:35Speaker 6: That's so good.
- 33:36Speaker 2: See, this is why our friendship is so much deeper
- 33:39Speaker 2: than a lot of people realize. This woman has had
- 33:42Speaker 2: my back since day one, ten years ago.
- 33:44Speaker 3: Day one ten years ago when I spotted you across
- 33:48Speaker 3: the bar and you were seventeen and you were doing shots.
- 33:52Speaker 2: And I said, I'm done with this business out I
- 33:55Speaker 2: want something else.
- 33:56Speaker 3: And I said, let me introduce you to this man,
- 34:00Speaker 3: Robin Thick.
- 34:01Speaker 6: And then the rest is history.
- 34:03Speaker 1: And I kind of.
- 34:04Speaker 6: Wandered in you just kind of.
- 34:08Speaker 8: Netflix building was a spa I did.
- 34:11Speaker 1: I thought it was the least far.
- 34:12Speaker 4: Well every and no disparagement on.
- 34:16Speaker 1: You, none taking in advance.
- 34:19Speaker 3: It's you know, a lot of these shows, you know,
- 34:22Speaker 3: they need three very famous singers, and they need one
- 34:27Speaker 3: behind the scenes person, one writer, songwriter or producer to
- 34:32Speaker 3: give it legitimacy, right, And I would say that.
- 34:34Speaker 2: Roger Robert, you're probably the most legit out of all
- 34:39Speaker 2: of us. I mean, like name some of the songs
- 34:41Speaker 2: are like, you've written so many beautiful songs.
- 34:44Speaker 1: Yeah, I've written a couple of songs. So I've written
- 34:46Speaker 1: into the hearts of my mind, I go freely. But
- 34:48Speaker 1: the ones who wander are the ones who don't know Ray.
- 34:52Speaker 6: Of course, I've been working on the railroad. No.
- 34:55Speaker 1: I actually wrote a response to that, which was, I
- 35:00Speaker 1: I have been riding the rails, thinking of my ancestors
- 35:04Speaker 1: who have worked on these very single rails, and I
- 35:09Speaker 1: am getting rails in the back of a car by
- 35:12Speaker 1: a senator.
- 35:14Speaker 8: Things that was so layered.
- 35:17Speaker 5: And the fact that you walked into our built thinking
- 35:20Speaker 5: it was a spa and that ship comes out of
- 35:22Speaker 5: your mouth.
- 35:22Speaker 1: You know, I did think it was a spa is
- 35:24Speaker 1: because I was told by Scooter Brawn that it was
- 35:26Speaker 1: a spa, because he uses Netflix as a spa, meaning
- 35:30Speaker 1: when he takes meetings there, he goes in and he
- 35:34Speaker 1: stinks up the bathroom and the events and he closes
- 35:39Speaker 1: the vents.
- 35:40Speaker 3: Because I work with Scooter, he is a little rascal.
- 35:45Speaker 4: He's a rascal.
- 35:46Speaker 6: Take me in the back.
- 35:47Speaker 1: But he's a good guy. He's a nice guy. But
- 35:50Speaker 1: I am happy to be involved. I like that I
- 35:53Speaker 1: give legitimacy. I don't see legitimacy the way other people do.
- 35:58Speaker 1: I see it a little differently.
- 35:59Speaker 8: That's amazing.
- 36:00Speaker 1: Legitimacy is being present for the sun to give you with.
- 36:04Speaker 8: Its rays and the contestants you mentor show.
- 36:07Speaker 6: That, Yeah, how are they to do? What do you
- 36:08Speaker 6: say to them? How do you help them?
- 36:10Speaker 1: Well, so I do a lot of the work for them.
- 36:16Speaker 1: I'm mostly they They play a lot of the music
- 36:19Speaker 1: for me, and then I sit down and I say,
- 36:20Speaker 1: this is not quite right. Let me record it over,
- 36:22Speaker 1: let me record it over. And so so I've gotten
- 36:25Speaker 1: a little bit of a bad habit, which is recording
- 36:27Speaker 1: over them, writing for them, and frequently dressing up as
- 36:31Speaker 1: them and performing as them.
- 36:32Speaker 2: Well, that's actually crazy because you actually, when contestants get
- 36:36Speaker 2: kind of like feedback, because we also give our feedback,
- 36:38Speaker 2: you seem very defensive about their songs and stuff.
- 36:41Speaker 8: Yes, well because they work lot of bread.
- 36:43Speaker 1: They work, so they work so hard, and.
- 36:46Speaker 4: You're always wiping lipstick off your mouth.
- 36:49Speaker 1: Yes, I certainly am, and I know I have to
- 36:51Speaker 1: go to the bathroom every time. One of my guests,
- 36:53Speaker 1: one of my uh guys, this.
- 36:57Speaker 4: Little We had this joke on set.
- 37:00Speaker 3: You never see Robert and any of his mentees in
- 37:04Speaker 3: the same room.
- 37:05Speaker 1: No, never, Yes, it's.
- 37:07Speaker 8: Such a funny joke.
- 37:09Speaker 1: He just had this experience in the full moon of
- 37:11Speaker 1: the Bermuda Triangle where I think there was this kind
- 37:14Speaker 1: of moment where we became one and I actually woke
- 37:20Speaker 1: up and I couldn't find them anywhere, And then I
- 37:22Speaker 1: can hear them and I realize they're in me. It's
- 37:24Speaker 1: just like a weird thing.
- 37:25Speaker 2: Tell oh my gosh, the experience of losing your mentees.
- 37:29Speaker 6: It's scary. It's happened to me a couple.
- 37:32Speaker 1: It's there, far away, but they're closer than they've ever been.
- 37:34Speaker 1: You know what I mean.
- 37:34Speaker 8: It's I mean, it's different for you.
- 37:36Speaker 2: No, yeah, I don't get that. I feel like some
- 37:38Speaker 2: of them die and then some of them leave and
- 37:40Speaker 2: I can't find them for a couple of weeks.
- 37:41Speaker 6: Sure, sure, they must be the same thing a little bit.
- 37:43Speaker 1: I mean I know exactly where they are and exactly
- 37:46Speaker 1: how they're feeling in their anxieties and how they're scared.
- 37:48Speaker 2: Well, I have them on Find my Friends too. You
- 37:51Speaker 2: have the dead bodies on Find your Friends? Well, yeah,
- 37:53Speaker 2: but it's easy to fight them.
- 37:57Speaker 4: Do they have a move on my friends?
- 37:59Speaker 6: Sometimes sometimes I see them move. I did.
- 38:03Speaker 2: I didn't want to say anything, but sometimes they move
- 38:04Speaker 2: and I go, what is happening? What?
- 38:07Speaker 6: Wait a second?
- 38:08Speaker 2: Like the other night I was looking for Belle, who
- 38:11Speaker 2: is one of my favorites, and she was out and
- 38:12Speaker 2: I just wanted to make sure she was safe. And
- 38:14Speaker 2: then I look at that graveyard. I go, what the
- 38:17Speaker 2: heck is going on here? And some of the two
- 38:20Speaker 2: contestants that died, we're moving around, and I was very confused.
- 38:24Speaker 4: Where did they go?
- 38:25Speaker 8: Were they moving together?
- 38:27Speaker 2: It felt like they both moved separately and then in
- 38:29Speaker 2: a line, and they were drawing symbols in on front
- 38:32Speaker 2: of my friends they were seeing. It felt like they
- 38:35Speaker 2: were drawing symbols with their bodies, like their motions were
- 38:37Speaker 2: very direct and very moving, and it felt like there
- 38:40Speaker 2: was They were walking in circles, almost like a conga.
- 38:43Speaker 4: Moti day Wiji boat conga.
- 38:45Speaker 6: It's so crazy.
- 38:46Speaker 1: Well, Bell is up for mayor. I wonder if she'll
- 38:49Speaker 1: be able.
- 38:49Speaker 6: I hope Belle live mayor. Oh.
- 38:51Speaker 5: Speaking of Belle winning mayor, we have to talk about
- 38:54Speaker 5: the finale. We do each each contestant, we trap in
- 38:57Speaker 5: a kia soul, yes, and we have to sing.
- 38:59Speaker 6: For their soul.
- 39:05Speaker 3: The devil We got the devil. The devil is there.
- 39:09Speaker 3: He is waiting outside.
- 39:10Speaker 6: It's so much funny.
- 39:11Speaker 2: They're in a giant tank and the water is wet,
- 39:16Speaker 2: that deal, So you guys have to tune in and.
- 39:20Speaker 6: Vote live.
- 39:23Speaker 8: People.
- 39:23Speaker 3: If you're worried, Oh no, I don't want to see
- 39:25Speaker 3: someone die live on camera. You won't because part of
- 39:28Speaker 3: our deal with Kia is that we don't show the
- 39:31Speaker 3: actual debts taking place at the KI because that's a
- 39:33Speaker 3: problem for them.
- 39:34Speaker 1: And you guys have to watch the exclusive pre show
- 39:36Speaker 1: hosted by Hassan Minage is so funny.
- 39:39Speaker 4: He's so so funny.
- 39:43Speaker 1: We also should say what the winner wins.
- 39:46Speaker 2: The winner wins a record deal with Netflix. That's it's
- 39:50Speaker 2: an overall ten year, four record deal. It's a fantastic
- 39:54Speaker 2: deal for this artist. And Netflix has the full rights
- 39:57Speaker 2: and they will not be paid. It'll be streaming solely
- 39:59Speaker 2: on TikTok shop.
- 40:01Speaker 5: They WoT they won a photoship with the Lipsmacker.
- 40:05Speaker 1: Yes, a photoship. It's a photoshop.
- 40:08Speaker 6: It's a photo it's a partnership photo shoot.
- 40:11Speaker 3: It's a partnership photoshoot on a boat. It's Mara Aura's
- 40:16Speaker 3: nip smacking ship shoot. And they get to have the
- 40:22Speaker 3: picture sort of for personal use. If it's commercial use,
- 40:26Speaker 3: they have to pay me. But and they get every
- 40:30Speaker 3: contestant And I said, they They also every contestant gets
- 40:35Speaker 3: a lipstick.
- 40:36Speaker 6: They get one piece of a lipstick.
- 40:39Speaker 5: And then if also along with the photoship the record deal,
- 40:44Speaker 5: they also get the kiyasol that they sung for their soul.
- 40:47Speaker 2: H it's navy rules, so if you don't, if you
- 40:50Speaker 2: give out, you have to tap out and we don't know,
- 40:53Speaker 2: you know, you're gonna pass out some of you guys.
- 40:54Speaker 2: That and also what they win in a big way,
- 40:57Speaker 2: which I think is so exciting to get to be
- 40:59Speaker 2: seen and they get to have a moment a verse
- 41:03Speaker 2: on the new Robin Thic's problematic song.
- 41:06Speaker 8: It's and the best part you get to go to
- 41:09Speaker 8: lunch for Mindy Kaling.
- 41:11Speaker 6: General sit down.
- 41:14Speaker 4: May's involved.
- 41:16Speaker 6: Robin, what's this song that you're working on for them?
- 41:18Speaker 6: The problematic song? You're gonna do it?
- 41:19Speaker 5: Oh yeah, it's we've been working on it for a
- 41:22Speaker 5: couple of years now. We're trying to find the ultimate
- 41:24Speaker 5: problematic song.
- 41:26Speaker 10: M hm.
- 41:27Speaker 5: In a way that's funny, Well, it's it's it's kind
- 41:30Speaker 5: of like, uh, it's it's uh, what do you call
- 41:34Speaker 5: it's meta as the kids saying yeah, where it's.
- 41:37Speaker 8: Singing about problematic songs.
- 41:39Speaker 3: Right reference bloodlines, what does it reference Blodeline, Yes, it's.
- 41:45Speaker 8: Literally almost the same song.
- 41:50Speaker 1: I wanted to thank you, Robin for including me to
- 41:53Speaker 1: to try to write that song. I know we worked
- 41:55Speaker 1: together for the first six months on it.
- 41:57Speaker 5: I mean I was gonna bring it up you were,
- 41:59Speaker 5: because I was wondering if you were, because I because
- 42:01Speaker 5: Yogurt wrote Rober Yogurt wrote, but Yogurt wrote the best,
- 42:07Speaker 5: most beautiful.
- 42:09Speaker 6: Oh yeah, it was so ablest.
- 42:12Speaker 4: Yeah, you wrote Jesus just ablest soul.
- 42:15Speaker 1: I thought it was really really problematic, and I guess,
- 42:19Speaker 1: I guess, I guess. Robin said it wasn't problematic enough,
- 42:23Speaker 1: so he moved on.
- 42:25Speaker 3: Well, you tried a few different things, rightophobia.
- 42:29Speaker 1: I tried senophobia, I tried a yeah, and ages.
- 42:32Speaker 8: I asked for misophobia.
- 42:34Speaker 1: Yeah yeah, misophonia, which is chewing into the microphone, but
- 42:39Speaker 1: they weren't lyrics for that, and and then.
- 42:43Speaker 4: We just kind of moved on from me, which was sad.
- 42:45Speaker 1: But I also think that you know, some of my
- 42:48Speaker 1: problems were some of my problems were a little more
- 42:51Speaker 1: esoteric and harder to understand, and you liked.
- 42:54Speaker 5: Okay, I want to go on record right now. I
- 42:57Speaker 5: think you're one of the most genius monds. And I
- 42:59Speaker 5: don't think netflix and sing some singing something would be
- 43:02Speaker 5: half of what it is today without you.
- 43:04Speaker 6: No, you were such a good child, and I want.
- 43:07Speaker 5: You to know I do think you are the voice
- 43:10Speaker 5: of a generation. You should just because you aren't the
- 43:14Speaker 5: voice of the problematic new Robin Thick song doesn't mean
- 43:16Speaker 5: you're not your own voice.
- 43:18Speaker 4: And I the voice of so many problematic songs in
- 43:21Speaker 4: the future.
- 43:22Speaker 5: And I think you should sing either the track you
- 43:24Speaker 5: wrote me or track you wrote yourself.
- 43:26Speaker 1: Okay, I'll sing a little bit of my song.
- 43:28Speaker 8: Yeah, come on, let me give you a little accounting.
- 43:31Speaker 8: Hey one too.
- 43:33Speaker 1: I don't know how to do it to.
- 43:39Speaker 8: This is how we do it in my studio.
- 43:42Speaker 1: That I believe that, Oh, singing into the clouds of
- 43:47Speaker 1: these secrets of my mind.
- 43:49Speaker 10: You don't know where else I'm going to Esther sits
- 43:54Speaker 10: by the window. She has a little piece of food
- 43:59Speaker 10: on her breast.
- 44:01Speaker 4: Was that the xenophobic one?
- 44:04Speaker 5: But that's the one I wanted to have misinfomia, so funny.
- 44:09Speaker 1: Yeah, that's why I mentioned the food.
- 44:11Speaker 4: Oh you guys, I just I love this.
- 44:14Speaker 2: You guys have to tune in, So you guys have

- 44:48Speaker 8: And the post show is hosted by Jojo Siwa's mom.
- 44:51Speaker 6: She is so annoying.

- 44:57Speaker 1: have to check it out. You can get it an
- 44:59Speaker 1: HD as well as standard death.
- 45:02Speaker 2: This is the first time Netflix is allowing shows to
- 45:04Speaker 2: be standard and just to go over the show, they told.
- 45:10Speaker 8: Us it was simply to stimulated d.
- 45:17Speaker 4: If you you know, if.
- 45:18Speaker 3: You're sensitive to a lot of HD stimulus all the
- 45:21Speaker 3: because you worked on the mask singer and there's.
- 45:23Speaker 4: A lot of stimulus on the mask.
- 45:26Speaker 1: They wouldn't let.
- 45:27Speaker 6: Us shoot it in four K. It was too overwhelmed.
- 45:29Speaker 8: It was too.
- 45:30Speaker 4: Much because we haven't even gotten into the.
- 45:33Speaker 1: Cost It keeps people verse, It gave people sun verse.
- 45:36Speaker 6: Yes, yes, we have not gotten into the costumes.
- 45:39Speaker 2: Every week two contestants are put in a costume to
- 45:42Speaker 2: see if it helps or hurts their performance.
- 45:44Speaker 1: And they're the exact same costumes from the mass singer.
- 45:46Speaker 1: And I want to thank you Robin for letting.
- 45:47Speaker 8: Us, thank you so much, thank you so much.
- 45:49Speaker 6: If you were worried about your gluten floating.
- 45:52Speaker 2: So just to go over the rules of the show again,
- 45:55Speaker 2: just so everyone's clear, because we got in a lot
- 45:57Speaker 2: of feedback that it's a little confusing.
- 45:59Speaker 6: I don't get it. So how it works is we've
- 46:03Speaker 6: been following the same contestants.
- 46:04Speaker 8: I find that I understand and if you go fast.
- 46:07Speaker 6: Yeah, okay.
- 46:07Speaker 2: So ten years ago, ten years ago, we each shows
- 46:10Speaker 2: fifteen contestants to compete on our wall. Those fifteen contests
- 46:13Speaker 2: were made up of seven people that were performers and
- 46:15Speaker 2: eight people that were singers. The singers stand behind the
- 46:18Speaker 2: wall and the performers stand in front, lifting into the
- 46:20Speaker 2: singer is back. Then, over ten years we have trained
- 46:22Speaker 2: them and put them together to make the perfect teams.
- 46:25Speaker 2: Every week, we've been eliminating them via AI to see
- 46:27Speaker 2: what would happen if we eliminated them. After eliminating them
- 46:30Speaker 2: via AI, we were able to see what a COVID
- 46:32Speaker 2: world would look like without COVID. A couple of the
- 46:34Speaker 2: singers have died, a couple of them have disappeared, but
- 46:37Speaker 2: that's fine. There's moving graves. There's also a big big
- 46:40Speaker 2: thing coming up. And every week you're gonna be voting
- 46:43Speaker 2: for two things, one what happens this week and two
- 46:46Speaker 2: what happened seven years ago? And every week we're gonna
- 46:49Speaker 2: go one year closer to the finale until we finally
- 46:51Speaker 2: have the winner, the mayor, the one with the keys,
- 46:54Speaker 2: the steeler, the angel.
- 46:57Speaker 6: So is it in a nutshell?
- 47:01Speaker 8: Don't forget Kiso.
- 47:03Speaker 2: I have not forgot the Kiosol finale. You guys have
- 47:06Speaker 2: to turn into the Kiosol Finale where we will be
- 47:08Speaker 2: filling up a pool and they will have to be
- 47:10Speaker 2: singing for their souls. The winner will be pronounced dead,
- 47:13Speaker 2: I think, and they all win different prizes.
- 47:18Speaker 3: They will be pronounced dead. It's not like that we're
- 47:21Speaker 3: killing them. It's like we're putting them out of the
- 47:23Speaker 3: visit right.
- 47:24Speaker 6: And they will be featured. They get a bunch of prizes.
- 47:26Speaker 2: They get the Kia Soul, they get a lip of
- 47:29Speaker 2: liptship photoship photo, they get a shoot, they get a
- 47:33Speaker 2: song on Robertick's new problematic song coming out that's going
- 47:37Speaker 2: to be announced at the finale.
- 47:38Speaker 8: You get a song on my song.
- 47:41Speaker 4: And I just have to say one thing because at
- 47:42Speaker 4: the very beginning.
- 47:43Speaker 3: You said there are seven performers and eight singers. I
- 47:47Speaker 3: know what you're thinking. What's that one man left out?
- 47:50Speaker 3: He is the devil.
- 47:51Speaker 1: We have to get it.
- 47:53Speaker 8: We didn't get into.
- 47:54Speaker 1: The devil talking about the devil. He's gonna be mad
- 47:57Speaker 1: at me.
- 47:57Speaker 6: In my dream?
- 48:00Speaker 5: Is this be an Artists on Artists on Artists, answering
- 48:02Speaker 5: the question that's why I called show Business good Night Hollywood.
