- 1:23Stuart finally get to the episode. All right, So Terry Eugene Rouse
- 1:30was born June sixteenth, nineteen sixty six. And Where'sboro, Georgia? Where'sboro?
- 1:36Where's Boro? I don't know, you're sure you better get it right?
- 1:38And the last time I went to Georgia and somebody must pronounce the town.
- 1:41I know we got we got it. Some letters, we Stu got
- 1:45some letters. I was right, Georgia to Jerry and Sarah Rouse. Now,
- 1:51Terry had two brothers. He had an older brother named Jerry, So
- 1:53there's Jerry and Terry and a younger brother named Shannon, and then also a
- 1:59sister named Angel. Now Terry was described as fun loving and outgoing. Now
- 2:04he loved all of his little cousins. He was that guy that the when
- 2:07he went to the family barbecues, he was immediately drawn to the kids,
- 2:10and the kids loved him. He liked to go play with all little kids
- 2:13and everything like that. Just a fun loving guy. Great you know,
- 2:16cousin, Cousin Terry would just have tons of funds with all the babies and
- 2:21toddlers and all that stuff. He's the guy you wanted the barbecue because then
- 2:24your kids going on. You don't feel bad. You're just like, yeah,
- 2:28go play with Terry hired, yes and yes, and you got to
- 2:34go like eat your food and peace because old cousin Terry was there. So
- 2:37now, growing up, they also had a cousin named Craig Thrift. Now
- 2:40Craig he was like a brother to the Rousse's boys. So it was the
- 2:45three Rousse's brothers, and then then Craig was always there with him. Now,
- 2:49the Rousse's family was a typical Southern family. They met every Sunday at
- 2:52Grandma and Grandpa's house to have cookouts. Now this isn't my typical southern family
- 2:57because my family's fucked up. But I hear this is a yes, STU
- 3:04didn't have the kind of thing. We were the only ones here. Yeah,
- 3:07they were here. My family was completely screwed up, and um,
- 3:12but I talked to a lot of people. They all like, oh,
- 3:14yeah, we would do. They all know their cousins and that's everybody in
- 3:17Louisianna cousin t Bow, cousin t Roy. Anyway, So they had this
- 3:27like big southern family that met up every every weekend and at Grandma and Grandpa's
- 3:30house. That had this big cookout and they would call it the Thrift Cookout
- 3:34after the one of the last names, like Craig Thrift, the cousin it
- 3:38was after their last name. Now the boys. They also spent a lot
- 3:42of time in the Whole family down at the Okifinoki Swamps near way Cross,
- 3:46Georgia. And yes, it's pronounced ok finocchi, because I listened to it
- 3:52to make sure I pronounced it right, ok finocchi. It sounds very similar
- 3:55to something that would be like where I'm from, Muskogee, Ok. You
- 4:00know, sounds like an Oklahoma. Yeah. When are you going to learn
- 4:02to say a chapel? Anyways, Jesus Christ, Jesus take the whale run
- 4:10us into a ditch please Anyway, So they were the Whole family the documentary
- 4:15that I watched on this they were very proud of the fact that they're like
- 4:18swamp people, that they're trump Yeah, they were like, we're swamp in
- 4:24like real sick accents. Now, after high school or around that time frame,
- 4:30you know, seventeen eighteen years old, Terry began working for the family
- 4:33business and his dad owned a I don't know his dad or his uncle owned
- 4:40a concrete laying business and did contracting work, so just probably like general constructions
- 4:45and things like that. Now, working right alongside Terry was his cousin Craig,
- 4:48which was you know, Craig's the one run around. He's like a
- 4:51brother to him. And this helped even solidify their relationship, their friendship even
- 4:56more because they spent every single day together, pick picked each other up for
- 4:59to go to work and everything. Spend all day on in these jobs.
- 5:01Now they are the best of friends, spending all day hanging out. I
- 5:04spend all day working, hanging out on the weekends. Tied at the hip.
- 5:09Now Craig and his wife Ronda, they welcomed his son in nineteen ninety.
- 5:14Now Terry was very close to his new nephew and Stupoard annound that it
- 5:18says nephew. Well, they considered him like a nephew because he would technically
- 5:24be a second cousin. I guess sure something, I think something like that.
- 5:28But Craig and him were so close like brothers. They called him his
- 5:30uncle Terry. Now he doated on him and he carried him everywhere. Now
- 5:35Terry was surrounded by friends and family and he was just having a good time.
- 5:39He was young, just living his life, working hard, drinking beer
- 5:44all here. Swamp people think, yeah, I guess, I don't know.
- 5:49That's when you go out in the swamp at night. Like you got
- 5:51the spotlight and you got the little gig and you get the frogs. Okay,
- 5:56we used to go. We used to go crabbing on the beach.
- 6:00Crabbing on the beach is a lot less ikey than oh no, he used
- 6:05to just drive a vehicle on the beach with lights or whatever, and you
- 6:10see the crabs, see them or get them and boil them. I wouldn't
- 6:15really partake in that part. I just remember seeing them. Oh yeah.
- 6:19On May eleven, nineteen ninety one, a trooper comes across and abandoned blew
- 6:24a thunderbird in the Okefinoki State Park. He runs the plates and the car
- 6:28comes back to Sarah Rouse. When they contact her to come move her car,
- 6:31she tells them that her son, Terry, was the last one that
- 6:34was driving it. Now, why wou't you tell the cops that? I
- 6:39don't understand, Well, unless you're concerned, They're like, we don't care
- 6:44who was driving It's well, I know that she's saying, like that's odd.
- 6:46I'm not the one that's I wasn't driving it. She don't even know
- 6:50where it's because she don't even know where it's at. She's like, where
- 6:53where's it at? I'm not I wouldn't even the last one to drive it.
- 6:56I'm sure she's telling him like I don't know what where would even be?
- 6:59My son was having at last, That's what I would say. Why
- 7:02do you think it was a dumb question? Stewart, good grief. I
- 7:06don't know. It just sounds like she was like, oh, my son
- 7:09Terry, like you need to contact him and tell him to move it.
- 7:12It's what it sounds like. Well, she was gonna have to go find
- 7:14someone to do it. She probably was thinking, just contact Terry. I
- 7:15don't know what that dumb ass did. He probably he's probably done some dumb
- 7:20assery before, and she's just like, well call Terry. Terry. Well,
- 7:26the police thought like I did. They're like, we don't care who
- 7:29the last one it was drove it. You either need to move it or
- 7:30it's going to be told because they didn't seem too concerned about it being a
- 7:34crime scene. Now she calls up her other son Shannon, and tells him
- 7:39to go get the car so that they don't have to pay for it to
- 7:42be towed. Now, they didn't think much of it that Terry wasn't with
- 7:46the car. They just thought he had left it out there and he'd be
- 7:48back at some point. Like I said, Terry's done some probably gotten himself
- 7:54into some situations out there out there with the swamp. You know, Let's
- 7:57go out and see something out in the swamp. Wander off. Oh there's
- 8:01gator out there. I gotta go wrestling. I'll be back that kind of
- 8:05Actually, yeah, there was some home video footage of it and they were
- 8:09wrestling a gator at one point. So yeah, these are like, these
- 8:11are kind of Cajun adjacent. I feel like this isn't it seems like they
- 8:16couldn't be. Now, Shannon goes with his older brother Jerry, to pick
- 8:20up the car. When they approached the car, they can see both windows
- 8:24are rolled down, the keys are in the ignition. There's a pack of
- 8:26cigarettes in the front, a lighter, and Terry's work clothes and shoes and
- 8:31a bag in the back. They go to start the car and it was
- 8:35dead. The ignition had been left on. Now they try to jump start
- 8:39the car, but it still won't go because it's out of gas. Now
- 8:43they started to become somewhat concerned by the fact that the car was out of
- 8:46gas because it wasn't like their brother to let the car run out of gas.
- 8:50So he'll just leave a car there. But he's wander you would never
- 8:54like because the cops didn't think about when they saw it, because they just
- 8:58have seen this car abandon The family gets the call, they're like, Okay,
- 9:01Terry's doing something dumb. Let's go pick up the car. But the
- 9:03fact that he left cigarettes, he left like all of his stuff in the
- 9:07car, so they're already like, okay, this is weird. This isn't
- 9:11right. And then the fact that he left the car running until it completely
- 9:15ran out of fuel is completely They're like, okay, this is But the
- 9:18cops wouldn't know that because all they would have done has seen the car ran.
- 9:20The plate said, come to the car. How do you know if
- 9:24the car just sat there run until it ran out of gas. I haven't
- 9:26gotten that far. Oh well, spoilered. Now they pull the car away
- 9:35and they noticed an unusual spot on the ground underneath, and there's a section
- 9:39of burned grass. Now this was from the car sitting there idling until it
- 9:43ran out of gas. Oh, I just was it, like, guest,
- 9:48just a lucky guess it's like I wrote this or something almost like.
- 9:54Yeah. Now, Terry, like we've been talking about, was known to
- 9:58party and on occasion wouldn't meet a girl and stay out all night long.
- 10:03But for him to leave his car like this was completely out of character.
- 10:05Now, Terry's brothers were very concerned, so they called their mom up,
- 10:09and she began calling family and friends, just hey, have you Like we
- 10:13said, it's a big family. They actually like get along with each other
- 10:16and talk to each other, and like my family, they would if they
- 10:20called my family, like, I don't know, I hadn't seen her in
- 10:22five years. Address yeah, but their family was close. So she starts
- 10:28making the rounds, calling everybody, all the aunts, the uncles, the
- 10:31cousins, everybody, to see if anybody's seen Terry. Now, Jerry and
- 10:35Chen and they began riding around town to see if he was at any of
- 10:39his usual spots. They said Terry was very much a creature of habit.
- 10:43He always loaded up and picked up his cousin Craig when they would head off
- 10:46to work. He went to the same places all the time, Like there
- 10:50wasn't anything Terry wasn't didn't just go Terry. Terry was Terry, you know,
- 10:56and didn't pick up and go to Vegas for the weekend or something.
- 11:00So they head out to Terry's work, where they speak to Craig and he
- 11:03says that he has not seen him. Now, when talking to Craig,
- 11:05he tells Shannon and Jerry that they all went to a house party the night
- 11:07before. Craig was there with his wife Ronda, and they both left before
- 11:13Terry. Now, they did say they saw Terry around two am. He
- 11:16was sitting in his car smoking a cigarette. Now, based on Craig's story,
- 11:20Terry had been partying the night before, like he just said. But
- 11:24this wasn't completely out of character. Even though they said they saw him up
- 11:28to him and he had to be at work the next morning. He did
- 11:31this all the time. They're They're like, young, I can't drink the
- 11:33night before him be up, I'll be I can't even stay up till two
- 11:37and going to work. I know, but I don't know what it's like.
- 11:39I've never been something alcohol. I get like reverse hangovers, and it
- 11:45gets worse as the day goes on. Yeah. Still, if means do
- 11:48like drink, he'll wake up. He might feel a little crumby the benning,
- 11:52but then he goes about his day and he starts feeling better. I
- 11:56get progressively worse. I think I might be allergic to it or something.
- 12:00I should probably give it up, but let's let's get crazy anyway. So
- 12:07they party night before. You know, he's young, he can pop up
- 12:09the next day and go work construction. No big deal now, So they
- 12:13go to They decide to go ahead and go report Terry as a missing person.
- 12:16But he hasn't been gone at forty eight hours. He is a young
- 12:18man, so the police just assume he has just taken off somewhere and he'll
- 12:22be back. Nothing alarming. It's like said, he's been known to go
- 12:28off with the girl and stuff like that. I mean, I can't really
- 12:30blame the police, are like, although the car was very suspicious, that
- 12:33was and he didn't show up to work, so huh, yeah, that
- 12:35was pretty pretty out of the out of character for Terry. Norm So after
- 12:41forty eight hours there's still no sign of Terry. So the family returns to
- 12:43the Ware County Sheriff's office to say, hey, can we start pursuit pursuing
- 12:48this as a missing person. Two days after Terry went missing, Ware County
- 12:52Sheriff's Department, they open a case and they bring in the Georgia Bureau of
- 12:58Investigation. Now that GBI started to look at Terry's life, and they find
- 13:01that he had a court date coming up for a DUI that he'd gotten a
- 13:05few weeks prior. Back in nineteen ninety one, a d UY would not
- 13:11have resulted in much of anything like it does today. You're gonna find maybe
- 13:16some communities probably, I guarantee it wasn't even like you know, like now
- 13:20they have the billboards it's a minimum ten thousand dollars fine for a d d
- 13:24WI DUI or whatever. Back then, it's probably like a slap on the
- 13:31wrist. Yeah, as long as you didn't kill anybody. Then if you
- 13:35just got pulled over and they gave you a DUI, yeah, it was
- 13:37nothing. Not a whole lot they would do to you. Now, they
- 13:41did not feel that this would be enough reason for Terry to skip down.
- 13:43Yeah, it's nothing to run away from. To be like Oh my god,
- 13:46I'm about to go to jail for the next five year or so over
- 13:48something, you know. So they started looking at the party that Terry had
- 13:52gone to the night before. There was a lot of drinking and there was
- 13:56rumors that there was drug use at the party, and police are wondering if
- 13:58Terry purchased them drugs the deal went bad, or maybe healed some people some
- 14:03money. Now would not be out of character for this town near the swamp.
- 14:07People were looking to escape their lives, and drugs and alcohol were not
- 14:11an uncommon part of life there. Yeah, this is this is small town,
- 14:16backwoods Georgia. I'm sure there was many a twelve pack drank plus a
- 14:20little wind, maybe something a little harder. I'm not sure back in the
- 14:22nineties if they had any proliferation of Yeah, I doubt it was like the
- 14:28hard stuff, but I'm sure that if you knew somebody was there. Yeah.
- 14:35Now, these were just rumors around town, and the police had no
- 14:37evidence that Terry was involved with a bad drug deal, and I'm not even
- 14:41sure if they knew if he even did drugs at all. They did speak
- 14:43to people at the party, and everyone's gonna have a first time Stewart that
- 14:48they didn't Bigger go home Terry. They spoke to people at the party and
- 14:52no one had seen or heard anything like that going on. Now, by
- 14:58the time the GBI was in, the evidence in Terry's car was already compromised
- 15:03because, like I said, they've waited. The brothers came picked up the
- 15:05car. The car had been released back to the family, Terry's mom because
- 15:09she's the one who owned it. She had been in the car both the
- 15:13Terry's brothers had driven it, so any useful evidence would have been completely destroyed
- 15:18at that point. They really should have taken the fact that they said that
- 15:24that all the clues about the car being left running and all his belongings,
- 15:26that they really should have looked at that immediately and said this is suspicious.
- 15:31I don't know if they would today. If not, if they would have
- 15:33thought that today, I feel like today there would have been a little born.
- 15:37I don't know why old Shannon and Jerry didn't think it was a crime
- 15:41thing well, I don't know. I feel like people were less suspicious back
- 15:43then. People are very highly suspicious now. You see anything out of the
- 15:50norm and you're like, oh my god, that bet trashed back on the
- 15:54side of the road. Dead body for sure. Yes, So anyways,
- 16:00they live among us, they walk among us. They're probably listening to this
- 16:03podcast right now. Yes, anyway, so all this evidence has been destroyed.
- 16:10Now, with no signs of Terry, they start looking at his inner
- 16:12circle. So the first person they go and talk to is his cousin and
- 16:17best friend, Craig Thrift. Now, Craig was one of the last people
- 16:21to see Terry at the party the night before. Ronda tells the same story
- 16:23to police about seeing him in his car at the party that he had that
- 16:27they had told the brothers whenever they were asking about him. Now they asked
- 16:32Craig about the next morning, as they knew that Terry would normally pick up
- 16:36Craig on the way to work. Now, Craig says he waited around for
- 16:38Terry, but he never showed, so he just decided to go ahead and
- 16:41just walk to work, expecting Terry to show up a little later. But
- 16:45he never did. Maybe thinking the same thing, like he's met a girl
- 16:48and you know, there's no cell phones back then, so he doesn't show
- 16:51up. He's like, oh god, Terry's went and met some girl after
- 16:53the party and he's running late. I'll just walk to work and get started
- 16:56and I'll see him a little bit later. Now, Ronda confirms Craig's story
- 17:00that he had to walk to work that morning and they had not seen Terry
- 17:03since that night before. With nothing to go on, Terry's family, friends,
- 17:07and police began passing out missing persons missing a well missing person flyers okay,
- 17:17offering a seven thousand dollar reward for any information leading to Terry's whereabouts.
- 17:22These flyers were passed out all over southeast Georgia and northern Florida. Despite the
- 17:27massive effort, they still receive no clues as to where Terry is. With
- 17:33the case growing cold, they go back to the family to make sure they
- 17:37aren't missing anything. And this is when Terry's mom tells police she has a
- 17:40bad feeling about Craig and Terry's relationship. She tells police that prior to Rohnda
- 17:45marrying Craig, she dated Terry. You see, this is when all the
- 17:51yeah, see, after a little bit of time, everybody starts sitting thinking
- 17:53about stuff. All the families like, wait a minute, I forgot about
- 17:56that, you know, because you don't really if So Craig and Ronda been
- 18:00married. You know, they got married and now they have a kid and
- 18:03stuff. You don't really think about those things until you really start thinking,
- 18:06like, who, what could what could have possibly happened in the past,
- 18:10Who what has happened in our family that could have led to Terry being missing?
- 18:12And all this stuff starts to boil to the surface, all these family
- 18:17issues. You don't have to look very far with my family, though.
- 18:19The issues are right at the surface. Yes they are. They have signs,
- 18:23they're like screaming. I thought it was a carnival waiving people down issues.
- 18:32Here, here are the issues, and now I got one in my
- 18:36house. Yep. Police start asking around about old Craig and multiple family members
- 18:42and friends say that Craig was verbally abusive to Ronda and that their marriage was
- 18:48struggling. Yeah, thank rumor has it that Ronda began confiding in Terry and
- 18:56this turned into them rekindling their romance. Yes, having an affair, supposedly
- 19:03all rumors Rnda having an affair. Yeah, Craig's a single David, he
- 19:07han't having an affair. What did I say, Craig having an affair?
- 19:10I don't know. Well, Craig's married to Ronde's I don't know who the
- 19:12fuck you're talking. Oh, I'm sorry. But if Terry, no,
- 19:17Terry, no, he doesn't. He's not just some innocent bystander like,
- 19:21oh, I'm single, let me date Ronda. He just tripped in foil
- 19:23in it. Oh my god, what's wrong with you? What? Oh
- 19:26my god. Anyways, Terry is in the wrong as well if he was
- 19:30in fact having an affair with Ronda. Now, but Craig's also terrible if
- 19:36he was abusive to Ronda. So poor Ronda, she's just stuck in the
- 19:41middle. Now, with this new information, Stewart, don't laugh at that.
- 19:45That didn't that's wrong with you? What's wrong with you? Now?
- 19:48With this new information, police bring in Craig to question him some more about
- 19:52his movements the night of Terry's disappearance. Now he repeats that same story he
- 19:56told police before. They then ask if he will take a polygraph tests.
- 20:00In his responses, did you find a body? Which is a weird thing
- 20:04to say. So when they say no, he gets up and leaves.
- 20:08Now, please are starting to find old Craig highly suspicious, and so does
- 20:12the family. They're like Craig's actual funny, guess we're not going to be
- 20:17going to cook out this weekend. Well, Craig's not invited for sure.
- 20:21Well it's his cookout in Well, it's not his, it's his family.
- 20:25He might just be black sheeped out of this thing. Now at this point,
- 20:27Craig is the only person that would have had a motive to kill Terry.
- 20:30The family was trying to wrap their head around the fact that one of
- 20:33their own could have done this. I mean, this guy that's like a
- 20:37brother to them, best friend, everything could could have hurt Terry. Now,
- 20:41please speak to Ronda again, but they do not believe that she had
- 20:44anything to do with Terry's disappearance. I've to say something about these polygraph tests
- 20:48because I was watching another show and I don't even know why we're doing these
- 20:52things anymore. We are currently still using them today. They're not admissible in
- 20:56court, and I was watching things The Green River killer Gary Ridgeway, he
- 21:00passed his polygraph test and he killed like forty eight women and he passed it.
- 21:07It's a true sociopath can actually pass these things. So I don't know
- 21:11even know why we're using them. They're stupid. Anyways, No, we're
- 21:17still using them today though. They still us you're gonna take a pomp,
- 21:19You're gonna take a lie detect your test, Like this is so dumb.
- 21:22They even had it on Real Housewife's of Beverly Hills a couple of seasons ago.
- 21:26Polygraph on Um it was Lisa vander Pump because there was this dog called
- 21:30Lucy, Lucy Apple Juicy. Oh my god, it's a whole thing with
- 21:38Lucy. The whole the whole season was abound lucyminal something. No, no,
- 21:45oh, there's definitely criminals, like the Real Housewife's of Salt Lake City,
- 21:48definitely criminals on there. So anyway, so in a couple other I
- 21:52think New Jersey definitely got some criminals. So oh, Erica Jane on Real
- 21:56house Beverly Hires, I'm pretty sure she know, she knew all about her
- 21:59has been um stealing all that money from the plane crash victims. Anyways,
- 22:04I die, I was the word what's so word I'm not talking about.
- 22:11I'm not saying anything else. I divessed, digressed, digress three college degrees
- 22:21from three college degrees, I digress. So anyway, so with no leads
- 22:27and nobody like old Craig asked about. The case actually went cold for over
- 22:33twenty years. Ronda and Craig divorced, of course, and he moved to
- 22:37a neighboring county and remarried. I typed to country there was he did not
- 22:42move to a neighboring country. Neither Canada nor Mexico would want him. So
- 22:48the Thrift Jesus Christ was getting together one throwing me. The Thrift and Rouse
- 22:55families continue to live their lives not knowing what happened to Terry. In two
- 22:59thousand eleven, one of the agents who worked Terry's case back in nineteen ninety
- 23:03one had been promoted to run the office that covered southeast Georgia. Now he
- 23:07comes across a police report that Craig's second wife had filed on Craig. They
- 23:12bring her in an interviewer and she says that Craig was verbally abusive and would
- 23:18threaten her. She said he had one of Terry's Missing persons flyers, and
- 23:22he would point at it during fights, and he would tell her he would
- 23:26make her disappear, just like he did to Terry. Now she said she
- 23:32had been too afraid of Craig all these years, but was ready to be
- 23:34rid of him, so she finally filed a police report. I mean,
- 23:37it just so happenstance that the one of the agents was now like in charge
- 23:42over there that came across this, you know, because anybody else probably wouldn't
- 23:47even paid attention to it. You know, you don't think it would probably
- 23:49just been like, oh, those are empty threats. I don't think so.
- 23:52I think they looked out that this guy. Yeah, they might have
- 23:56been like, oh, here we go, we got a mad wife and
- 23:57trying to say that he's saying no or not. No, that's not the
- 24:03direction I was going, Stuard, But I was saying that they would just
- 24:06think, oh, the Terry guy, he's an asshole and he's just trying
- 24:07to scare his wife. Is the direction I was going, Well, you
- 24:11wouldn't think that we go question Terry about why are you threatening to murder?
- 24:15Or well, they might question about that, but they wouldn't. I don't
- 24:18think they would have thought anything about Terry's wanted poster or may not wanted missing
- 24:23person poster. Anyways, Now with this the second wife coming in saying this,
- 24:32they were able to pull enough evidence against Craig for Terry's murder to actually
- 24:38get a grand jury assemboled. So on April third, and we'll walk through
- 24:42the evidence through the case. This okay, ste We're gonna explain. Oh
- 24:48thank god, I didn't know what we're gonna do. So on April third,
- 24:52twenty twelve, Craig is indicted by a grand jury on one count of
- 24:55malice murder and one count of felony murder based on aggravated assault. Now play
- 25:00it's not guilty, and on April fourteenth, twenty fourteen, the trial began.
- 25:03Now, the prosecution, they painted a picture of a jealous Craig.
- 25:07They believed that he became aware of the affair between Ronda and Terry that night,
- 25:11like during the party, maybe walked in psalm or psalm getting too close
- 25:15or whatever, and confronted him. Now the next morning, when he was
- 25:18alone with Terry, he attacked him and killed him. He then either disposed
- 25:23of Terry in the swamp or in the in the concrete that he had access
- 25:27to. Poor because remember they laid concrete, so they had slabs, and
- 25:32once you put someone in that, I mean, unless you know where they're
- 25:34at. Yeah, they're not in Bible to find them. He then moved
- 25:38Terry's car to the park and abandoned it. He was able to make it
- 25:41to work that morning and go on about his day like nothing happened. Now,
- 25:45they did have a babysitter that night that was staying at the Thrift's home,
- 25:49because you know they had little the little baby there and everything like that.
- 25:53You know, they got it, they were responsible. They did have
- 25:56a babysit went on the party. Yes, so they had the baby.
- 26:00They're staying then i Thrift's home, and she did come and testify that she
- 26:04had slept on the couch that night and was awoken by Ronda and Craig fighting
- 26:08in the early morning hours. She also said that she saw Terry at the
- 26:11Thrift's home sometime between five and six am. So this completely contradicted Craig's story.
- 26:18That's why they believe that he killed him in the early morning hours because
- 26:22remember they told police that they last time they saw him was two am in
- 26:25a car smoking a cigarette outside the party. This babysitter is like no,
- 26:29and they're going to go buy the babysitter because the babysitter is not drinking,
- 26:33hopefully drinking and doing drugs, and I'm pretty sure the rest of them were,
- 26:37So they're much less reliable now. In addition to the babysitter testifying that
- 26:41she saw Craig that morning, police had additional testimony from friends and acquaintances of
- 26:45Craig's. In the twenty years following Rouse's disappearance, this is Terry's disappearance,
- 26:51Craig told a number of people on numerous occasions that he had killed Terry by
- 26:56beating him and or shooting him because Terry was having an affair with Ronda.
- 27:00Now. Craig said that he then disposed of Terry's body in the swamp,
- 27:03sometimes describing him as gator Bait. You know, I once knew someone that
- 27:08had a dog named Gator Bait. They didn't get too close to the lake
- 27:11where they were gators. I don't just figured that he'd come up missing one
- 27:15day. Maybe I don't know who whose dog was that that was named getor
- 27:18bait. I don't know. I don't remember who it was. Anyways.
- 27:25Well, I know, if you're an opposing fan that comes to Baton Rose
- 27:27a Death Death Valley there to play LSU, you're called tiger Bait. Okay,
- 27:34Howard, what is that that doesn't make sense because they're the LSU tigers,
- 27:37I know, And why do you need Why are they tiger bait because
- 27:42the tigers You're gonna draw the tigers out. Yeah, the tigers are gonna
- 27:47you're gonna catch it. So actually it doesn't make any sense because then they're
- 27:49gonna catch the tigers. They're the bait. Yeah, they eat the bait.
- 27:56The tigers know, but that means that the tigers are caught though,
- 28:00use bait to catch a tiger. I'm just saying it's not it's not full
- 28:04proofs to there's some holes in your in your theory. Well, there might
- 28:08be some plot holes. I mean not as many as there are in the
- 28:11Harry Potter Sarry, but there's plot holes, don't you dare? Oh,
- 28:17we forgot to mention. I don't know if anybody we were having the oh
- 28:21if you saw on our Facebook or Instagram, so we had the baby,
- 28:25we had the Harry Potter theme. What. Okay, we'll do this at
- 28:27the end. We'll do this at the stay tuned for the Harry Potter.
- 28:30You're welcome. Send all your thank you letters to mean notes to me.
- 28:34Okay, now, yes, the defense brought forward witnesses to argue that Tera
- 28:41Terry Terry Terry had disappeared on his own accord. One of Terry's co workers
- 28:47testify that the week before Terry's disappearance, Terry had said that he was about
- 28:51to leave and that no one would be able to find him. That seems
- 28:53like a manufactured statement. I don't know that. It seems like, oh
- 28:57Craig gave him a couple of hundred bucks said, hey, he says,
- 29:00yes, who even says that I'm about to disappear no one will be able
- 29:04to find ever. Yeah, Terry explained that he had an upcoming court date
- 29:08with the potential for jail time, and he owed people a lot of money.
- 29:12But see that comes back to that DWI. There was no potential jail
- 29:15time or anything. I think this was And after twenty years, I'm sure
- 29:18the statute has run on those. Well, no, it doesn't matter about
- 29:22twenty years. It was at the time. Well yeah, at the time,
- 29:25So at the time it seems ridiculous. But for him to be missing
- 29:27for twenty years and never come back to see his family again, yes,
- 29:32because he's still avoiding a DUI from twenty years ago. Yeah, it's ridiculous.
- 29:37On the afternoon before he disappeared, Terry asked Rhonda to never forget him.
- 29:42Three witnesses testify that they knew Terry and had seen him after his disappearance.
- 29:48The three witnesses each report is seeing Terry or someone who looked like him
- 29:52after May eleventh, nineteen ninety one, but none of those individuals actually spoke
- 29:57with the person they had identified as Terry. Now, I'm just assuming that
- 30:02they the defense, pulled out some swamp people back there and be like,
- 30:06I've done solve Terry up in Lanta. Yeah, I mean, I don't
- 30:11know how credible their witnesses were, but I'm guessing not not that credible.
- 30:17Why you don't think Terry's alive somewhere? No, I don't think big Foot
- 30:21in el Yeah, I don't think so. Now. They also brought Rhonda
- 30:25and to testify to Craig's alibi that he was home with her sleeping off the
- 30:29alcohol the morning of the murder. The defense argued that all of the evidence
- 30:33brought forward by the prosecution was circumstantial and that they had no hard forensic evidence
- 30:38proven that Craig was involved. Well fact checked, true, Yeah, it
- 30:44was all circumstantial. Yeah, and Rhonda was like, she did testify on
- 30:48his behalf, but she didn't really know. She had gone to sleep,
- 30:52so I mean, anything could have happened. But no. They had argued
- 30:56that they didn't even have a body to prove Terry was even murder in the
- 31:00first place. This is true. The police did dredge the swamp where Craig
- 31:03had bragged that he had dumped Terry, but no evidence of a body was
- 31:07found. Craig chose not to take the stand in his own defense at trial,
- 31:11probably a good idea. Probably. The case went to the jury on
- 31:15April seventeen, twenty fourteen. They came back a quitting Craig of malice murder,
- 31:19but they did find him guilty of felony murder. Craig was sentenced to
- 31:23life in prison, but under nineteen ninety one laws, so in nineteen ninety
- 31:29one you only had to serve a minimum of seven years of a life sentence
- 31:33in Georgia before you were up for parole Craig. Craig would be eligible for
- 31:41parole in twenty nineteen. He appealed his conviction multiple times and lost. He
- 31:45was not granted parole in twenty nineteen, and he is currently serving out his
- 31:49sentence in Hay State Prison in Chattanooga, Tennessee. Yeah, so this one
- 31:56wasn't the most cut and dry case I would say. I would say,
- 31:59I feel like Craig sucks. That's I mean, based on what his ex
- 32:06wife said and everything like that. But no, what the ex wife said
- 32:10that he was multiple people said he was verbally abusive and threatening to his wives.
- 32:16However, however, I don't know if he killed Terry. I don't
- 32:22Stewart, he seems like a good suspect. However, I would I would
- 32:27hate to go to jail based on the evidence. Yeah, that would not
- 32:30be good. That would not be good. I wouldn't feel good about that
- 32:31one. No, you could just up and leave me one day. And
- 32:35oh yeah, Stewart, Well, because you know what're the best thing to
- 32:37do is throw to someone in the swamp, Stewart. That is how you
- 32:40get rid of the body, and no one will ever find it. Now
- 32:44you throw it the gators, there ain't gonna be much left, Yeah,
- 32:45because then whatever the gators don't get, the crawfish, you'll get well.
- 32:50And also just the swamp environment everything just yeck Yep, the frog, crawfish,
- 32:57all the other little things will get you. Yep. Next thing you
- 33:00know, you're in a crawfish at a crawfish boil, and the circle of
- 33:07life continues. Cramata. That's how we get rid of Stu. Hey,
- 33:10wait what anyway? So yeah, it's not the most cut and dry case.
- 33:15And I don't know, I probably shouldn't brag about or go on about
- 33:20if he was just trying to sound tough that he killed Terry even though he
- 33:22didn't. Really, he probably shouldn't have been saying shit like that for twenty
- 33:25years. It wasn't a good look. Now it's not a good letter.
- 33:30Come around, bite you in the ass, whether you did or did not
- 33:31do it. You don't brag about dumb shit like that. Yep. Anyways,
- 33:37aren't Sue? Do you have a y'all need cheesus? Of course I
- 33:40have. Do you guys want me to talk about the Harry Potter thing real
- 33:44quick? Or no? I'll just say it real quick and then we'll move
- 33:46on. Anyways, So we posted on our Facebook in the instagram if you
- 33:50saw some baby. So we lined up the four onesies and the baby picked
- 33:53his house and he picked Hufflepuff. We're coming to terms with it. Okay.
- 33:59We know it's not flashy like your Slytherins or your griffin doors. It's
- 34:07not even as m chic as your raven claws. But we're accepting as a
- 34:12Hufflepuff and we're gonna we're gonna move forward with this. You say this like
- 34:16it? So whatever do you even know? They? You belong to somebody?
- 34:22What? Whatever house you belong to? Me? Oh my god,
- 34:28Jesus, No, I was never a baby. I can't pick my house
- 34:34because I've already got in my head like what I would be. All you
- 34:37gonna do is put a blindfold, spin around, throw a dart or something.
- 34:40Okay, well maybe we should do that for me. Then as long
- 34:44as I'm not in the room when you throw the dart, I guess yeah,
- 34:46I'd like to throw a dart at your room. I bet you would.
- 34:49I'm kind of a Slytherin, so yes, that would definitely throw a
- 34:52dart at you. Anyways, Stewart, what, oh my god? Anyways?
- 34:57All right, so you have your y'all need Jesus, I do okay,
- 35:00all right, coming to us from Fox five k VVUTV local Las Vegas.
- 35:07I couldn't even I didn't even get Now he can because the headline says
- 35:12Las Vegas Police. You could have left that ELM New York Man. You
- 35:15could have left that fights one legged man. You could have just said that
- 35:20stripped naked. You could have just said that dance was on top of poker
- 35:22table. If you'd left out the other two things, I could have went
- 35:28with Florida. No, no, I mean, I don't know if they're
- 35:30gambling in Florida, is there. I don't like what the poker. I
- 35:35guess they could have a poker table, and I guess they could have could
- 35:38be that way. Now I don't know who this was. Fella is God
- 35:44by the name of Brian Daniel Zick. I guess that is how you pronounce
- 35:47it. I'm sure it's not, but go on, okay, he sounds
- 35:51like a guy you could party with. Now was a caveat. I don't
- 35:53know if Brian bought some kind of illicit drug on purpose, I bought something
- 36:00that was cut with something, or if he was just like a hangover situation
- 36:05maybe, or if he was slipped something into his drink wolfpack was slipped a
- 36:10roofy. Yeah, my old gallip and akis. Now, now, I
- 36:15did read a headline that the family thinks he was drugged. Of course they're
- 36:19going to think the best of him. Okay, well yeah, you know,
- 36:22but this guy seems like I got a party with if he's on drugs.
- 36:25Las Vegas, Nevada, a New York Man was arrested for allegedly running
- 36:30around the strip naked before interrupting a poker game by gyrating and picking a fight
- 36:36with a one legged man. According to authority, why do they have to
- 36:39say one legged man because he only had one leg? Brian faced his charge
- 36:45as a disorderly conduct, battery and five counts of indecent exposure since his arrest
- 36:51on Sunday. Oh this is coming to us from July tenth this year.
- 36:54Oh this year. A couple of fresh Yes. According to Las Vega,
- 37:00it's not fun anymore. Why is he being charged for these things? I
- 37:04don't know. I thought would stay there. What happened there? Staying there?
- 37:07Apparently not now. According to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, officers
- 37:12were dispatched at about eleven twenty two pm for a reported fight at the Flamingo
- 37:16near the Bird Bar Old Old Flamingo in Vegas. Oh you've been I've never
- 37:22been there. Yes, I've been at the Flamingo. Yeah, I'm sure
- 37:25you have. I have. Police learned a man later identified as Brian,
- 37:30had attack Citizen A, who had one leg According to police, Brian then
- 37:37ran, want to drill that in. Don't they that he had he attacked
- 37:38a one legged man? Yes, I'm kind of wondering which one. Now,
- 37:44bang he has or didn't have one of the prosthetic legs. He might
- 37:49have been able to kick. He probably a kick old Brian's ass. Just
- 37:52pop it off and hittim one would thing when titanium steel. Yeah. Brian
- 37:59then ran and off northbound to the link. The report states Brian was not
- 38:04known to Citizen A, and Citizen A declined to press chargers for some reason.
- 38:09Brian was later detained at Harris He's in the spirit of Vegas. He's
- 38:13like, shit happens. I knew when I came here. The best story
- 38:17ever. Nobody's gonna believe with it. Brian was later detained at Harrah's,
- 38:22also a casino that la by security and police arrived to verify that if he
- 38:27was the same man they were looking for in regard to the assault on the
- 38:30onden legged man. I've been to a Harris but the one in There's that
- 38:32big one in New Orleans. Oh yeah, we did go there, didn't
- 38:36we. Police believed it was him. Brian was seen by security and CCTV
- 38:40footage removing his clothing at the link he ran completely naked through Harrah's. Brian
- 38:50climbed to the top of a poker table game and flaunted his gentitals to all
- 38:54who passed, exposing his privates while gyrating. Oh my god. Brian then
- 39:01transition to a position where he exposed his but for all who passed on the
- 39:06main floor, gyrating? Is that the old version of trquing? No?
- 39:12Oh gyright, Okay, I don't know you wan't going to gyrate for you,
- 39:17baby, and I don't think we should google it either. Security stepped
- 39:22in and wrestled Brian off the table, scattering chips and cards, before he
- 39:28was taken to a secure room. When questioned by police, Brian did not
- 39:31recall the encounter, but he didn't but he was lucid and cooperative at the
- 39:37time, but he appeared to be in an altered mental state. His next
- 39:40court appearance is scheduled for August seventeenth of twenty twenty three, So stay tuned.
- 39:45We might have an update on Brian. Oh, Brian, Well,
- 39:50let's start at yet Louisiana. We need to party, buddy. No,
- 39:55you don't. That's not gonna go well here, you'll get shot. I'd
- 40:01still like to go out and see what kind of mischief he gets us into.
- 40:05No, let's all start a petition. Let's let let's let Brian be
- 40:08just live in infamy in Vegas and not in prison. I know. I
- 40:13mean sounds like he did something foolish or slipped something he might have been and
- 40:19can be argued that in a court of law. I feel like that's what
- 40:22I would say us just play the movie The Hangover and be like, this
- 40:24is not this is what happened to me. Yeah, anyways, all right,
- 40:29Stut, that's it. Do you need more? No, I don't
- 40:32need anymore. Soles. Stewart, what what's wrong with you? What did
- 40:39buttholes come in? I don't want to know. Let's not rehash. Brian
- 40:45then transitioned into a position where he exposed his butt for all who passed on
- 40:51the man floor. The report continues, Okay, you just tuned out,
- 40:55No, but you didn't say but a butt in a butthole or a completely
- 40:59different well, he was naked. What do you think him? What do
- 41:01you think you were? In a fine butthole? To be very crude talks?
- 41:05Do you think the TV station was going to put butthole in their recording?
- 41:09They put genitals, They didn't put a schlang in there. Dong crude
- 41:14for some reason. Butthole, it's very crude to me anyways. So you
- 41:16don't like the butthole surfers? No anyways? All right, so go check
