Entry permits now required for tourists as foreign airlines weigh return
As of tomorrow, January 1st, foreign travelers from the US, European Union member countries, and dozens of other visa-exempt countries must apply online for an electronic travel authorization, “ETA,” permit to enter Israel. Mark Feldman, CEO of Ziontours in Jerusalem, told reporter Arieh O’Sullivan that the process was simple and similar to other countries. Feldman also said that while low-cost airlines were returning, the big foreign airlines won’t likely come back till Spring. (photo: Moshe Shai/flash90)
