- 0:40Speaker 2: day lots to cover. We've got the big Tucker Carlson
- 0:43Speaker 2: versus Mike Huckabee interview, with Huckabee saying hey, he's totally
- 0:47Speaker 2: on board with the Greater Israel project based on Biblical scripture,
- 0:51Speaker 2: so that's caused huge fallout in the region. We'll show
- 0:54Speaker 2: you a bunch of quite extraordinary clips from that interview
- 0:57Speaker 2: with our ambassador to Israel. We also continue to watch
- 1:01Speaker 2: whether or not we are headed to war with Iran.
- 1:03Speaker 2: There's some new new reporting on that front, and Jeffrey
- 1:06Speaker 2: Sachs is going to join us to break all of
- 1:08Speaker 2: that down. We're also taking a look at what's going
- 1:10Speaker 2: on in Mexico where there is significant unrest after the
- 1:14Speaker 2: killing of a major cartel boss. The drop site news
- 1:18Speaker 2: head of the Latin American Dusk, Jose Luis Granado Seja,
- 1:21Speaker 2: who is fantastic, is going to join us to break
- 1:22Speaker 2: that down. We also have updates on whatever is going
- 1:26Speaker 2: on with tariffs, interested to get Sager's insights there as well.
- 1:29Speaker 2: And we are going to have the guy who you
- 1:31Speaker 2: probably saw part of that viral clip in New Jersey
- 1:35Speaker 2: where the successfully blocked a data center from being located.
- 1:39Speaker 2: So he is a grassroots organizer and we're going to
- 1:42Speaker 2: talk to him about the pushback against AI data centers
- 1:45Speaker 2: locating in towns across the country.
- 1:47Speaker 1: Yeah, many are calling him an American hero. Many people
- 1:50Speaker 1: are calling him an American hero. Thank you to everybody

- 2:07Speaker 1: listening to this a podcast, please share an episode with
- 2:10Speaker 1: a friend. It really helps other people find the show.
- 2:12Speaker 1: But before we even get to Tucker, we did have
- 2:15Speaker 1: to give a quick shout out to Team USA, the
- 2:18Speaker 1: men's hockey team. However, their great victory was quickly besmirched
- 2:23Speaker 1: by the presence of one cash Pattel. Why are we
- 2:26Speaker 1: punishing our great American athletes. Let's go ahead and put
- 2:30Speaker 1: this video. It's just too juicy to pass up cash.
- 2:34Speaker 1: So remember, you know, the Nancy Guthrie investigation is happening.
- 2:37Speaker 1: She remains missing. There's all kinds of important There's all
- 2:41Speaker 1: this cartel violence, you know, very very close to our
- 2:44Speaker 1: own southern border, and our FBI director Chugin' beers in
- 2:49Speaker 1: the locker room with Team USA. He claims he was
- 2:53Speaker 1: invited by some of the people that were there. I mean,
- 2:57Speaker 1: to be fair, they do look like they're excited to
- 2:59Speaker 1: see him. I know that he is a hockey enthusiast
- 3:02Speaker 1: and he does play on some rec leagues here in America.
- 3:05Speaker 1: But you know, just reminder, the FBI director did have
- 3:09Speaker 1: to take a very expensive private jet to Italy. Now
- 3:14Speaker 1: his spokesperson is saying that it was for official business.
- 3:17Speaker 1: It just so happened to align with Team USA and
- 3:20Speaker 1: the hockey team. It's been scheduled months in advance, So
- 3:23Speaker 1: that's what his spokesperson is saying out there and in
- 3:26Speaker 1: defense of the FBI director. But I'll let the visual
- 3:29Speaker 1: speak for itself. So yes, congratulations to Team USA, the
- 3:34Speaker 1: hockey team of both men and women. But you know,
- 3:38Speaker 1: I feel bad for them for having to pretend to
- 3:40Speaker 1: be happy in the presence of our FBI director.
- 3:43Speaker 2: I mean, I just thought, as we dive into our
- 3:46Speaker 2: show here, and keep in mind, we are podcasters, we
- 3:50Speaker 2: are not US government officials, and we seem to be
- 3:53Speaker 2: taking more seriously these investigations the possibility of war and
- 3:57Speaker 2: peace than either Cash Mattel, who so listen, as you know,
- 4:01Speaker 2: a former athlete. The part of it that annoyed me
- 4:04Speaker 2: the most is him seeming like he like somehow earned
- 4:07Speaker 2: this or was part of this victory in anyway. It's like, dude,
- 4:10Speaker 2: you are the living embodiment of mediocrity. The thing you
- 4:14Speaker 2: are most known for, and this is a bypart, truly
- 4:17Speaker 2: a unifying and bipartisan sentiment, is being the most incompetent
- 4:21Speaker 2: person that anyone has ever seen. So humiliating display there
- 4:25Speaker 2: and then we can also take a look here at
- 4:27Speaker 2: the Secretary of War Pete Hegsath, who put out this
- 4:31Speaker 2: video over the weekend claiming to have benched what was
- 4:34Speaker 2: it three point fifteen that susupposedly is okay? Now, immediately
- 4:40Speaker 2: the Jim Barrows sager jumped on this one and said,
- 4:43Speaker 2: this is literally not possible. There is there are some
- 4:48Speaker 2: for his weight category, some two hundred and twenty people
- 4:52Speaker 2: ever in the world at any time who've been able
- 4:56Speaker 2: to lift this amount of weight. So give us your analysis,
- 5:00Speaker 2: you know from what is the Jim bro community saying
- 5:02Speaker 2: there's whether or not this was fake.
- 5:04Speaker 1: So Jim bros say that it is technically possible and
- 5:07Speaker 1: it is theoretical. However, there have been multiple public instances,
- 5:12Speaker 1: for example the famous Chris Cuomo of people lifting fake weight.
- 5:16Speaker 1: So you can make up your minds for yourselves. I'm
- 5:18Speaker 1: calling for a full audit of the bench press and
- 5:22Speaker 1: for all of the people who are currently involved, but
- 5:24Speaker 1: more importantly for our purposes, as we showed you all before,
- 5:28Speaker 1: Pete Hegseth. Even let's say, if it is real, it's like, dude,
- 5:31Speaker 1: you're showing off your bench prowess in the middle of
- 5:33Speaker 1: preparations for war with Iran. Like this is not a
- 5:36Speaker 1: social club and this is not a game, right, And
- 5:39Speaker 1: so here's what you see from our national security officials.
- 5:42Speaker 1: And that's why we think, you know, this is one
- 5:44Speaker 1: of those this is important for people to flag as
- 5:47Speaker 1: we get into Yeah, like you said, podcasters, you got
- 5:50Speaker 1: Tucker Carlson. Actually, I mean, you know, doing a better
- 5:53Speaker 1: job and grilling Mike Cockaby, the US ambassador. Is it's madness, Like,
- 5:58Speaker 1: it's actual madness.
- 6:00Speaker 2: And there's a little thing called the Epstein Files cover
- 6:03Speaker 2: up going on. Cash more than a little bit involved
- 6:06Speaker 2: in that. So rather than you know, investigating any of
- 6:08Speaker 2: the powerful men who could be implicated here in either
- 6:12Speaker 2: sex crimes or potential you know, insider trading, the type
- 6:15Speaker 2: of investigations we've seen in numerous other countries, this is
- 6:18Speaker 2: what he's spending not only his time but your tax
- 6:22Speaker 2: dollars exactly. So enjoy that, American, enjoy that.
- 6:25Speaker 1: Yeah, And don't forget, you know, his little interview with
- 6:27Speaker 1: his girlfriend on the Katie Miller podcast in the middle
- 6:31Speaker 1: of a major investigation, not to mention his little jacket
- 6:35Speaker 1: stunt of during the Charlie Kirk and the I mean,
- 6:39Speaker 1: who can forget I'll see you in Valhalla. So yeah,
- 6:43Speaker 1: I guess I'm not going to get my cash Pattel
- 6:45Speaker 1: Challenge coin after this segment. But yeah, gosh, you know
- 6:50Speaker 1: I won't be able to add it to some of
- 6:52Speaker 1: the others I have from illustrious and actual warriors. So
- 6:55Speaker 1: I apologize, I guess for not being able to add
- 6:58Speaker 1: that to my collection.
- 7:01Speaker 3: Do we get to somebody who's actually doing the real work?
- 7:03Speaker 1: Yeah, apparently, let's get to the real work. Let's get
- 7:05Speaker 1: to the real work. Tucker Carlson's extraordinary interview with the
- 7:09Speaker 1: US Ambassador to Israel, Mike Huckabee. So many different important sections.
- 7:14Speaker 1: We've tried to pull many of them. Perhaps the most
- 7:17Speaker 1: important is senior US government official, US Ambassador to Israel,
- 7:20Speaker 1: representative of the Trump administration saying unequivocally Israel has a
- 7:25Speaker 1: right to the entire Middle East. Let's take a listen.
- 7:27Speaker 4: You've appealed to Genesis. Genesis fifteen says it's Abram, it's
- 7:31Speaker 4: pre Abraham. It's Abram receives from God the news that
- 7:36Speaker 4: his descendants will inherit the land. And you tell me,
- 7:38Speaker 4: as the theologian, if I'm getting this wrong. But from
- 7:42Speaker 4: the Euphrates to the Nile, I think that's right. And
- 7:47Speaker 4: that would include like basically the entire Middle East. That
- 7:50Speaker 4: would be the levant. So that would be Israel, Jordan, Syria, Lebanon,
- 7:55Speaker 4: would also be big parts of Saudi Arabia and Iraq.
- 7:59Speaker 4: It would be I mean, I'm not sure you would
- 8:00Speaker 4: go that far. I mean, it would be a big
- 8:02Speaker 4: piece of land. But here's the point. It would be
- 8:03Speaker 4: a lot of places that are now countries that this
- 8:07Speaker 4: particular area that we're talking about now Israel is.
- 8:14Speaker 5: A land that God gave through Abraham to a people
- 8:18Speaker 5: that he chose. It was a people, a place, and
- 8:21Speaker 5: a purpose. We can look at it that way. Christian Zionism.
- 8:25Speaker 5: I want to go back because that's where we started.
- 8:26Speaker 4: I'm not going to let you off on this because
- 8:28Speaker 4: you have got it three times that God gave this
- 8:31Speaker 4: land to this people, and so it is entirely fair
- 8:35Speaker 4: for me with respect to ask what land are you
- 8:36Speaker 4: talking about because I just read Genesis fifteen, as I
- 8:39Speaker 4: have many times, and that land, I think it says
- 8:42Speaker 4: from the Nile to the Euphrates, which is once again
- 8:47Speaker 4: basically the entire Middle East. So God gave that land
- 8:50Speaker 4: to his people, the Jews, or he didn't. You're saying
- 8:53Speaker 4: he did. What does that mean? Does Israel have the
- 8:57Speaker 4: right to that land? Because you're appealing to Genesis, you're saying,
- 9:02Speaker 4: that's the original deed.
- 9:06Speaker 3: It would be fine if they took it all unbelievable.
- 9:10Speaker 1: Yeah, and you know the best park Crystal is. Later
- 9:12Speaker 1: on he goes, okay, do the Irish people have a
- 9:14Speaker 1: right to Ireland? He's like, there is no right. It's
- 9:16Speaker 1: by conquest. And you're like, well, hold on a second here,
- 9:19Speaker 1: you know what are we talking about. By the way,
- 9:20Speaker 1: this has sparked a full blown diplomatic crisis. Let's go
- 9:24Speaker 1: ahead and put a two up there on the screen
- 9:26Speaker 1: just so you all see the map of Greater Israel
- 9:30Speaker 1: and part of the project, if you will, and you
- 9:33Speaker 1: can see exactly what he's talking about, including vast swats
- 9:36Speaker 1: of Saudi Arabia. And you know, you even had a
- 9:40Speaker 1: huge diplomatic statement, you know, congratulations. Only Mike Huckabee could
- 9:46Speaker 1: unite the entire Middle East. Many of these countries you
- 9:49Speaker 1: hate each other. They hate each other with the fire
- 9:51Speaker 1: of a thousand sons, and yet they all had to
- 9:54Speaker 1: come together to issue a big diplomatic statement. Let's ahead
- 9:58Speaker 1: and put this up here on the screen. They say,
- 10:00Speaker 1: the ministries of all of these different countries, I'm gonna
- 10:03Speaker 1: read them Jordan, Uae, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Turkey, Indonesia, Qatar, Lebanon, Kuwait, Pakistan, Bahrain, Oman,
- 10:10Speaker 1: Palastin and Syria, plus the Oice, the Arab League and
- 10:14Speaker 1: the Gulf States all say they unequivocally condemn the Greater
- 10:18Speaker 1: Israel endorsement there of the Ambassador Mike Huckabee. This is
- 10:22Speaker 1: the humiliation ritual, is that we have this special country.
- 10:25Speaker 1: It has a right to exist because of Genesis. If
- 10:28Speaker 1: you're Ireland, screw you. It's about your right to conquests.
- 10:32Speaker 1: It's the only country in the whole world apparently where
- 10:35Speaker 1: the right of conquest does not apply. And that's the
- 10:38Speaker 1: madness through which our policy is currently flowing. And I
- 10:43Speaker 1: actually think that the next one on genetics makes it
- 10:46Speaker 1: even crazier.
- 10:47Speaker 2: Crystal Well, I mean just to pause on this one,
- 10:51Speaker 2: because people like you and I who've been talking about
- 10:55Speaker 2: the Greater Israel project and saying, hey, guys, look at
- 10:58Speaker 2: the number of countries that they're bombed, look at the
- 11:01Speaker 2: maps that they put, look at what they talked. Listen
- 11:02Speaker 2: to the settlers, because they're the ones who will say
- 11:05Speaker 2: it outright.
- 11:06Speaker 3: They're serious about this thing.
- 11:07Speaker 2: Okay, we were treated like anti Semit's conspiracy theorists, et cetera.
- 11:13Speaker 2: This is the US ambassador to Israel. Is this US policy?
- 11:18Speaker 2: Is this what our policy is? Because that seems like
- 11:21Speaker 2: an important question to ask and know the answer to.
- 11:24Speaker 2: And then the other thing I have to pause on
- 11:26Speaker 2: here as we're potentially heading into war with Iran. You know,
- 11:29Speaker 2: one of the things that we hear all about the
- 11:31Speaker 2: Iranians is are so irrational because they're these religious zealots
- 11:35Speaker 2: and they're this you know, theocratic author authoritarian regime, and
- 11:39Speaker 2: so you know, they can't be reasoned with because they're
- 11:42Speaker 2: irrational because of these you know, with this extreme religious
- 11:46Speaker 2: religiosity that they rule the country with.
- 11:49Speaker 3: Like, what the fuck is this? I mean, what do
- 11:52Speaker 3: you call this?
- 11:53Speaker 2: We're using biblical scripture to erase international law certainly to
- 11:58Speaker 2: erase the of nation states. I thought this wasn't a
- 12:02Speaker 2: mystery to the carried and awful lot about borders. Turns out,
- 12:05Speaker 2: when it comes to Israel's ability to invade and you know,
- 12:09Speaker 2: brutally take over whatever areas, they feel like that's no
- 12:12Speaker 2: problem whatsoever. So an extraordinary and very significant moment which
- 12:19Speaker 2: again has major spillover effects as look, these countries, they're
- 12:24Speaker 2: genuinely pissed off right in the region for understandable reasons.
- 12:28Speaker 2: And it may end up that this comment from Huckabee
- 12:32Speaker 2: helps to forestall war with the run because we need
- 12:35Speaker 2: a bunch of these countries cooperation for you know, for
- 12:38Speaker 2: launching attacks, for defense, a bunch of bases located in
- 12:42Speaker 2: the region, et cetera. And so if you have them
- 12:44Speaker 2: pissed off ahead of this action, you know you're not
- 12:47Speaker 2: going to get the level of cooperation that perhaps you
- 12:49Speaker 2: would need for the grand scale that Trump is is
- 12:52Speaker 2: potentially planning. Now I'm not gonna like place all my
- 12:55Speaker 2: hopes in that bucket, but certainly like a truly significant
- 13:00Speaker 2: development that the Iranians, by the way, are already talking
- 13:02Speaker 2: about and already mentioning to say, look, see this is
- 13:06Speaker 2: the it's the Epstein class driving US towards war. The
- 13:09Speaker 2: Greater Israel project is real, Like, come on, Arab states,
- 13:12Speaker 2: you really want to be part of this coalition?
- 13:15Speaker 3: Is this what you've signed on for?
- 13:16Speaker 1: I wouldn't be surprised if they still did sign on
- 13:19Speaker 1: for it, considering their own humiliation ritual. But it is
- 13:21Speaker 1: instructive and illustrative of the current relationship and the sure
- 13:26Speaker 1: you know, psychopathy of the people who are in charge.
- 13:29Speaker 1: This next one on genetics is equally revealing. It is
- 13:32Speaker 1: an entire challenge about who has the right to the
- 13:36Speaker 1: land based on their blood and you know, Mike Huckabee
- 13:40Speaker 1: seems completely unable to grapple with let's say, Eastern European uh,
- 13:46Speaker 1: you know, Eastern European or descendants who are living in
- 13:51Speaker 1: Israel versus Palestinian people who have been present on the
- 13:54Speaker 1: land for some thousands of years, and whether or not
- 13:57Speaker 1: they have rights to exist on that land and by
- 14:00Speaker 1: their logic, now again this is their internal logic about
- 14:03Speaker 1: blood and soil inside the country of Israel. But here's
- 14:07Speaker 1: Mike how could be literally speechless on the question regarding
- 14:10Speaker 1: Bibi net and Yahoo and others. Let's take a.
- 14:12Speaker 4: Listen, dodging obvious question, which is where does this right
- 14:15Speaker 4: come from?
- 14:16Speaker 6: And the reason it's meaning for you?
- 14:17Speaker 4: That is because there are a lot of people in
- 14:21Speaker 4: the territory that Israel controls today, particularly in the West Bank, who,
- 14:27Speaker 4: through genetic testing, we can know their families have been
- 14:29Speaker 4: here for thousands of years. We don't know whether they
- 14:32Speaker 4: practice Judaism, whether they were Smaritans pre Islam. We don't
- 14:36Speaker 4: know that. A lot of them we know have been
- 14:38Speaker 4: Christians for two thousand years. They have less of a
- 14:44Speaker 4: right to the land than someone who's ancestors. The only
- 14:48Speaker 4: thing we know about them is they lived in Latvia
- 14:51Speaker 4: or poland their Eastern European.
- 14:53Speaker 6: How does that work? They're Jewish by what definition? They're
- 14:57Speaker 6: Jewish by their But how do we know they have
- 14:59Speaker 6: any the city?
- 15:00Speaker 5: They're Jewish faith, They're Jewish by the connection to the language,
- 15:04Speaker 5: Jewish by the connection to the Torah.
- 15:07Speaker 4: But but how do we know that Bibe, specifically Bbe's
- 15:10Speaker 4: ancestors ever lived here.
- 15:11Speaker 6: How do we know that?
- 15:14Speaker 5: I'm not sure if I understand your question, how.
- 15:17Speaker 4: Do we know if the prime minister of Israel's ancestors ever.
- 15:21Speaker 6: Lived Maybe I could ask you how do we know
- 15:23Speaker 6: they didn't. I mean, it's on the basis of the
- 15:27Speaker 6: claim that they did that.
- 15:29Speaker 4: All kinds of things happen, people are displaced, there's a
- 15:32Speaker 4: money flow, I mean, there's it's a big question.
- 15:34Speaker 6: A lot hangs on this.
- 15:35Speaker 4: It's not some theoretical thing like oh, you know, do
- 15:38Speaker 4: my grandparents do this or do that. It's like, no, no,
- 15:40Speaker 4: we have a right to be here because my ancestors
- 15:41Speaker 4: were here. Okay, how do we know they were here?
- 15:46Speaker 5: I'm just totally unable to process what you're trying to
- 15:50Speaker 5: get at.
- 15:53Speaker 2: I think I know what he was trying to get
- 15:54Speaker 2: out there, see a little bit, and I think.
- 15:58Speaker 3: He just doesn't want a grapple with it.
- 16:01Speaker 1: Yeah, exactly.
- 16:02Speaker 3: I mean I've said this before.
- 16:04Speaker 2: You know, my children's father is Jewish, and they have,
- 16:08Speaker 2: you know, more of a right by Israeli's views to
- 16:13Speaker 2: live there and have the land than people who have
- 16:15Speaker 2: lived there for genuinely thousands of years. Now, obviously, I'm
- 16:18Speaker 2: a leftist. I believe in universal rights. I don't subscribe
- 16:21Speaker 2: to this blood and soil view of a nation. But
- 16:24Speaker 2: as you said, Sager, this is their justification. They they
- 16:28Speaker 2: are claiming these ancestral ties to the region, so it's
- 16:32Speaker 2: entirely legitimate to say, Okay, well, let's tease the sound
- 16:35Speaker 2: a little bit, because I think most people think about like,
- 16:38Speaker 2: you know, somebody who lives in Brooklyn and just going
- 16:40Speaker 2: over and like stealing land from a family that's been there,
- 16:43Speaker 2: you know, one hundreds of not thousands of years, would say,
- 16:46Speaker 2: this is this is not really fair, This is not
- 16:48Speaker 2: really moral, this is not really logical. So completely fair
- 16:52Speaker 2: to push on that, and especially you know, Hukabi also
- 16:56Speaker 2: talks about how there's not just Jewish people coming from
- 17:00Speaker 2: Eastern Europe with that ancestry, there's also people who are
- 17:04Speaker 2: indigenous to the region. That is certainly the case, but
- 17:06Speaker 2: we also know in this part of what we learned
- 17:08Speaker 2: in the Epstein files that there is a deeply racist
- 17:11Speaker 2: system even of you know, amongst different Jewish people within Israel.
- 17:17Speaker 1: Go ahead, Aude, Barack laid it out there. He's like, oh,
- 17:20Speaker 1: we don't want the right type of Jew. We won
- 17:21Speaker 1: the right type of Jew coming into Israel. We don't
- 17:24Speaker 1: want these miss what do you say, mis Rahi Jews
- 17:27Speaker 1: coming in?
- 17:27Speaker 3: He said, we did.
- 17:28Speaker 2: We had to take the ones from Africa early on,
- 17:31Speaker 2: but now we could pick the right type of Jew
- 17:33Speaker 2: and he preferred people who were new converts in Russia.
- 17:37Speaker 2: Who have you know, then probably zero ties to the
- 17:40Speaker 2: land over those you know, you know, people that we
- 17:43Speaker 2: had to take in from these other regions that we
- 17:46Speaker 2: look down upon.
- 17:47Speaker 1: So yeah, pretty disgusting now, I guess, you know, at
- 17:50Speaker 1: the very least. Now turning to our own country, perhaps
- 17:52Speaker 1: the most important question, why did the US ambassador invite
- 17:56Speaker 1: convicted spy Jonathan Pollard into the US embassy? Mike Huckabee
- 18:02Speaker 1: claims it was a thirty minute meeting that was scheduled
- 18:05Speaker 1: just so Pollard could thank Huckaby for being nice to
- 18:08Speaker 1: his then deceased wife. But here's the new drawdown really
- 18:13Speaker 1: into the logic of inviting Pollard into the embassy in
- 18:16Speaker 1: the first place. Let's take a listen.
- 18:18Speaker 4: So this was the most profound betrayal of the United
- 18:22Speaker 4: States in my lifetime. Why advocate for that guy's release
- 18:26Speaker 4: before he serves as full sentence.
- 18:29Speaker 5: If that were the case in twenty eleven, it would
- 18:33Speaker 5: have been because I had a number of friends. It
- 18:36Speaker 5: suggested that he had more than served time, and he
- 18:38Speaker 5: didn't want to live in the US anymore. He wanted
- 18:40Speaker 5: to live in Israel. But my association with him. Again,
- 18:45Speaker 5: I had never met him until I met him in
- 18:47Speaker 5: Jerusalem at a hotel. That was the first time I
- 18:49Speaker 5: had ever encountered him.
- 18:50Speaker 4: But why meet with him in the US embassy? Your
- 18:53Speaker 4: colleague said they were shocked. They said, who were the
- 18:55Speaker 4: colleagues that said they were shocked? Quoted on background in
- 18:58Speaker 4: the New York Times, I think the meeting in August,
- 19:02Speaker 4: this could all be fake.
- 19:03Speaker 6: That's why I'm asking you.
- 19:04Speaker 5: Well, the same New York Times said it was a
- 19:06Speaker 5: secret meeting, and I'm telling you there's no such thing
- 19:08Speaker 5: as a secret meeting in the US Embassy.
- 19:10Speaker 4: You see why the US ambassador hosting a convicted betrayer
- 19:14Speaker 4: of his own country, who's encouraging Americans to continue to
- 19:17Speaker 4: betray their country, would seem shocking.
- 19:20Speaker 5: Well, I would say that it wasn't that. You make
- 19:24Speaker 5: it sound like I'm hosting a meeting. I simply met
- 19:26Speaker 5: with him. I meet with people all the time. Someone
- 19:29Speaker 5: just walk in without a no, they have to have
- 19:31Speaker 5: an appointment, of course they do.
- 19:32Speaker 6: Oh, so it is hosting them that I think.
- 19:34Speaker 5: Well, I don't know if it was hosting, but it
- 19:35Speaker 5: was certainly he was able to come to the US
- 19:39Speaker 5: Embassy to have a meeting at his request, I did,
- 19:42Speaker 5: and frankly, I don't regret it.
- 19:44Speaker 1: I don't regret it whether he hosted. Look at this
- 19:48Speaker 1: little weasel trying to get out of the fact that
- 19:50Speaker 1: he did host him. And you know, at this point,
- 19:52Speaker 1: I don't even expect anything more from my Kuckabee. This
- 19:56Speaker 1: is the humiliation ritual of this administration. Who or is
- 20:00Speaker 1: this behavior? They're putting people in charge over at the
- 20:04Speaker 1: US Embassy who do not see any issue with literally
- 20:07Speaker 1: inviting a convicted spy back on to US soil. And
- 20:10Speaker 1: Jonathan Pollard, let's not forget not just his original crime,
- 20:14Speaker 1: which was heinous and as Tucker pointed out in the interview,
- 20:16Speaker 1: passed on information which was then passed on to the
- 20:19Speaker 1: Soviet Union. He has since encouraged all Jews in the
- 20:23Speaker 1: United States to spy for the state of Israel. He
- 20:25Speaker 1: has said publicly that Israel should threaten nuclear weapons against
- 20:30Speaker 1: the against the United States if we encourage them to
- 20:33Speaker 1: do a ceasefire. He attacked, by the way, even in
- 20:36Speaker 1: terms of MAGA logic. He hates Trump for forcing the
- 20:40Speaker 1: first cease fire on Israel in the early days of
- 20:43Speaker 1: the administration. This is who this guy is. It is
- 20:45Speaker 1: as clear cut dual loyalty or I know, sorry, single loyalty.
- 20:49Speaker 1: As it gets to this, you know, to this state
- 20:52Speaker 1: and you're inviting this person who you advocated for their release.
- 20:56Speaker 1: And even in the beginning, he's like, oh, well, many
- 20:59Speaker 1: people say he shouldn't have to serve such a lot. Yeah,
- 21:02Speaker 1: those people are all bought off by Israel, by the
- 21:04Speaker 1: Israel lobby. Real intelligence officials said, you cannot pardon this
- 21:08Speaker 1: guy ever, you cannot release him early. You have to
- 21:12Speaker 1: send a message that we treat all spies the same.
- 21:14Speaker 1: He's the only spy that anybody did anybody try to
- 21:17Speaker 1: get older James out of prison early? No, or I'm
- 21:20Speaker 1: forgetting the guy from the FBI's name. But I mean,
- 21:23Speaker 1: both of these guys, they've rotted and died in prison.
- 21:25Speaker 7: Good.
- 21:26Speaker 1: And then with this person, you know, oh, and he
- 21:28Speaker 1: gets facilitated to Israel, it gets like special treatment, released
- 21:32Speaker 1: from his parole by the Trump administration in the first term.
- 21:35Speaker 1: And now this it's just too much like the humiliation
- 21:38Speaker 1: ritual all around here. It disgusts me as an American.
- 21:43Speaker 3: It's kind of amazing to me too.
- 21:44Speaker 2: I mean, Hukkabi does not dispute any of Tucker's characterization
- 21:48Speaker 2: of who Pollard is, of what he said, of the
- 21:51Speaker 2: fact that he continues to advocate for, you know, choosing
- 21:54Speaker 2: this country to betray this country. He doesn't dispute any
- 21:57Speaker 2: of that. He decides that his best defense is to
- 22:00Speaker 2: quibble over the terminology of whether or not he hosted
- 22:03Speaker 2: him at the embassy. It's like or whether it was
- 22:06Speaker 2: really technically a secret meeting or not, as if that
- 22:09Speaker 2: makes any difference whatsoever to the reality of what unfolded here.
- 22:14Speaker 2: And you know, it surprises me that he doesn't have
- 22:15Speaker 2: a better defense, given the fact that this was actually
- 22:18Speaker 2: the spark of the you know, the sort of like
- 22:20Speaker 2: war of words between him and Tucker Carlson. This was
- 22:24Speaker 2: really justis of it. So we surely knew that he
- 22:26Speaker 2: was going to be questioned about it. But I guess
- 22:28Speaker 2: the answer is there really just isn't a good defense.
- 22:30Speaker 2: The best you can do is say, well, I didn't
- 22:32Speaker 2: really host him. I mean, yeah, we had a meeting,
- 22:34Speaker 2: but I wouldn't call it hosting him. And then it's like, well,
- 22:37Speaker 2: you can't just show up at the embassy and get
- 22:40Speaker 2: a meeting within that.
- 22:41Speaker 1: Ye, ambassador, Yes, let's do it right right, I'll fly tomorrow, brother.
- 22:47Speaker 2: So yeah, And you know clearly he thinks that his
- 22:50Speaker 2: little trick of being like, oh well it was the
- 22:52Speaker 2: fake New York Times on background, blah blah blah, might work,
- 22:57Speaker 2: It might do enough to muddy the waters. But Tuck,
- 23:00Speaker 2: or very cleverly, is like, okay, well maybe it's all lie.
- 23:02Speaker 2: You could tell me, tell me what actually happened. Let's
- 23:05Speaker 2: get into it. We don't have to take the New
- 23:06Speaker 2: York Times word for it. You're sitting right here.
- 23:09Speaker 1: So discussing last one. This one. Look, this is a
- 23:13Speaker 1: common talking point I hear from the IDF defenders in
- 23:16Speaker 1: the United States. It never fails to discuss me more.
- 23:20Speaker 1: You can say a lot about the United States military.
- 23:23Speaker 1: Hundreds of Americans died to protect Iraqi and Afghanistan lives
- 23:28Speaker 1: in the War on Terror. Now, we shouldn't have been
- 23:30Speaker 1: there in the first place. I want to be clear.
- 23:32Speaker 1: We should never have been there. They should never have
- 23:34Speaker 1: been put into that position. But once they were, their
- 23:37Speaker 1: lives were on the line, and in many cases they
- 23:39Speaker 1: died to prevent civilian casualties to try at many times,
- 23:43Speaker 1: sometimes yes, failing, but oftentimes living up to the expectation
- 23:47Speaker 1: that we will not conduct war in a certain way.
- 23:49Speaker 1: So when I hear this bullshit from senior American officials,
- 23:52Speaker 1: every US service member, if you're listening to this, he
- 23:55Speaker 1: insulted you, He insulted your command. He insulted every GWOT
- 23:59Speaker 1: veteran when he said that the IDF is more humane
- 24:03Speaker 1: than the United States military. Let's take a lessen Israel.
- 24:06Speaker 5: Goes to links that no other country, including ours, goes
- 24:09Speaker 5: to in the middle of an urban war, and yet
- 24:13Speaker 5: Israel ended up with fewer civilian deaths in an urban
- 24:17Speaker 5: war than any urban war of records.
- 24:20Speaker 6: You said, you didn't know how many civilian does there worse?
- 24:22Speaker 5: So how can you say that if you took Gaza's numbers,
- 24:25Speaker 5: hamas Is numbers.
- 24:26Speaker 6: Said, we just told me that, how can you say
- 24:29Speaker 6: it's a lower number.
- 24:30Speaker 5: But if you to the largest numbers that have been
- 24:33Speaker 5: reported out of Gaza by Hamas, Yes, let's assume they're true.
- 24:37Speaker 5: That's what I'm saying. I'm not saying they are true,
- 24:40Speaker 5: but assume they're true. Let's just take them.
- 24:42Speaker 6: At their word.
- 24:43Speaker 5: Then you still have a lower number of civilians killed
- 24:47Speaker 5: than in any urban warfare environment in modern history?
- 24:51Speaker 6: Fact? Is that a fact?
- 24:53Speaker 7: Yes?
- 24:54Speaker 6: What are you comparing it to.
- 24:56Speaker 5: To any urban war?
- 24:58Speaker 7: One?
- 25:00Speaker 5: We're in Afghanistan and you pretended are alleged that somehow
- 25:04Speaker 5: I'm not loyal to this and that I'm friticizing.
- 25:07Speaker 4: A better job than the US military in Iraq and Afghanistan.
- 25:11Speaker 6: And I said, what are the numbers? And you said,
- 25:13Speaker 6: I don't know.
- 25:15Speaker 4: So on what basis are you making the claim that
- 25:17Speaker 4: the IDF and GAZA spared more civilians than the US
- 25:22Speaker 4: Army and Marine Corps did in Afghanistan and Iraq? Why
- 25:25Speaker 4: are you saying that? Like, on what basis are you
- 25:28Speaker 4: saying that.
- 25:29Speaker 5: From the conversations that I've had with the people who
- 25:31Speaker 5: fought there, And I don't have the exact numbers for you.
- 25:35Speaker 2: Imagine making that claim and then not even having some
- 25:38Speaker 2: bullshit numbers.
- 25:39Speaker 1: Yea, they do, you know the numbers. Look, you know, Tucker,
- 25:41Speaker 1: if you watch the interview, I actually recommend you watched
- 25:44Speaker 1: the entire segment, because it's not just the interview. He
- 25:46Speaker 1: does a good preamble. First of all, he dispels that
- 25:48Speaker 1: bullshit myth about the detention. It was an actual detention.
- 25:53Speaker 1: If you listen, and they haven't even disputed. They were
- 25:55Speaker 1: asking the producers where they work, who they work with,
- 25:58Speaker 1: who they text, They took their passport, They're menacing them.
- 26:02Speaker 1: I mean, this was serious. It was an actual like
- 26:04Speaker 1: intelligence gathering operation. And remember none of that is disputed
- 26:09Speaker 1: currently by IDF authorities. They're saying, yeah, it's routine, we
- 26:12Speaker 1: always harass international journalists. Remember that. So the description not
- 26:16Speaker 1: only of the interview itself, but he said his main takeaway,
- 26:19Speaker 1: this man is not working for the United States. He
- 26:21Speaker 1: was like, when I interviewed this person, he is controlled.
- 26:24Speaker 1: Every answer was sensitive, and he seemed to be working
- 26:27Speaker 1: on behalf of the Israeli government. I don't think that
- 26:29Speaker 1: you could come away with a different conclusion. And the
- 26:31Speaker 1: only conclusion is if that's the case, what does that
- 26:34Speaker 1: say about our government, about the people that are supposed
- 26:38Speaker 1: to serve us. I mean again, I want to say,
- 26:40Speaker 1: how can you let a spy on US soil and
- 26:44Speaker 1: keep your job? It's insane. How can you, as the ambassador,
- 26:48Speaker 1: do an interview where you spark a diplomatic crisis with
- 26:52Speaker 1: all of these Middle Eastern countries and keep your job?
- 26:56Speaker 1: How can you insult the United States military and keep
- 27:00Speaker 1: it's like, over and over and over again, you are
- 27:03Speaker 1: working on behalf of this foreign country. It's like you're
- 27:05Speaker 1: a pr agent for this foreign country. And his tweets
- 27:09Speaker 1: after have just been absolutely badshit crazy, Like, let's go
- 27:14Speaker 1: and put some of these on the screen. Guys, we
- 27:16Speaker 1: have the vo like he's tweeted like dozens of times
- 27:20Speaker 1: about Laura.
- 27:20Speaker 3: Lumer endlessly copin. It's just endless cope on the time.
- 27:25Speaker 2: Dawson tells you how he knows that this interview went
- 27:29Speaker 2: for him because if you have one side in the interview,
- 27:32Speaker 2: that's having to just like endlessly cope and put on
- 27:35Speaker 2: this statement, in that statement and amplify this person or
- 27:38Speaker 2: that person who said something positive about their side of
- 27:40Speaker 2: the interview. You know, they're trying to overcome something that
- 27:44Speaker 2: went very poorly for that.
- 27:45Speaker 1: And can we talk about the you know, we talked
- 27:47Speaker 1: about the Olympics. He you know, is making the Jewish
- 27:51Speaker 1: ancestry of one of the guys who scores the goal
- 27:54Speaker 1: in Team USA's game. He goes, what the guy scoring
- 27:58Speaker 1: goal for first USA gold medal is a Jew? Oh my,
- 28:01Speaker 1: I'm sure the jew haters will say Massad was behind it.
- 28:04Speaker 1: I just say, celebrate the incredible victory for USA and
- 28:08Speaker 1: be grateful for his love for the USA and this team. Dude,
- 28:11Speaker 1: you're the one making it about him being Jewish. I
- 28:13Speaker 1: didn't even know who was Jewish. Did anybody know who
- 28:16Speaker 1: he was Jewish? Nobody even cares he's Jewish.
- 28:18Speaker 2: Some of us do not have our minds so warped
- 28:22Speaker 2: that we are constantly fixated on various identity or sectarian differences.
- 28:27Speaker 2: I mean, woke does not hold a candle right to
- 28:30Speaker 2: Zionists and the way that they, you know, view the
- 28:33Speaker 2: world through this hard sectarian lens. And you know, this
- 28:38Speaker 2: whole interview with Huckabee just really underscores the fact that
- 28:42Speaker 2: the firmus, the most fervent supporters of whatever Israel wants
- 28:47Speaker 2: Israel gets, are Christian Ziant Zionists. So you know, for
- 28:51Speaker 2: all the people who want to say, like, oh, you're
- 28:53Speaker 2: anti Semitic if you criticize blah blah blah, and you
- 28:57Speaker 2: know this is Israel is directly linked to Jewish people
- 29:00Speaker 2: and only Jewish people. And that's you know, if you
- 29:03Speaker 2: were criticizing Israel, criticizing Jewish people, no, like, look at
- 29:07Speaker 2: the actual coalition of supporters here, right, Christian Zionists. Genuinely,
- 29:12Speaker 2: if you pull the Jewish popula, yes there's a you know,
- 29:14Speaker 2: significant attachment to Israel, but it is far from lockstep,
- 29:18Speaker 2: especially if you look at younger generations. And you know,
- 29:21Speaker 2: the last thing I do want to say about like
- 29:23Speaker 2: the most moral army thing is like I feel like
- 29:25Speaker 2: israelis don't even claim that anymore. It's so ridiculous at
- 29:29Speaker 2: this point, right, put aside, you know, the civilian death
- 29:33Speaker 2: ratios are very contested in both places. I think the
- 29:36Speaker 2: clearest numbers say it was overwhelmingly civilians who were mass
- 29:40Speaker 2: slaughtered in Gaza. But even if you don't want to
- 29:42Speaker 2: believe those numbers, look, Abu Grabe was a scandal in
- 29:46Speaker 2: the US, and the reason it was a scandal is
- 29:49Speaker 2: because we actually expected something more from our soldiers, from
- 29:53Speaker 2: our military, whereas in Israel they had protests over the
- 29:58Speaker 2: right of IDF soul to rape their prisoners. Okay, that
- 30:03Speaker 2: is a very clear moral contrast. And I am a
- 30:06Speaker 2: vociferous critic of the way we conduct her of the
- 30:09Speaker 2: wars themselves, and the way we conducted ourselves in those wars,
- 30:13Speaker 2: but we didn't institute a complete.
- 30:15Speaker 3: And total siege.
- 30:16Speaker 2: We didn't brag about how we're going to starve people
- 30:18Speaker 2: to death if they didn't comply.
- 30:21Speaker 3: We didn't destroy routinely.
- 30:23Speaker 2: There were hospitals that were destroyed, but we did not
- 30:26Speaker 2: make it a policy of mass destroying hospitals, churches, schools,
- 30:31Speaker 2: all of civilian infrastructure.
- 30:33Speaker 3: Okay, so I don't know.
- 30:35Speaker 2: It's incredible to me that he's even still pushing that
- 30:38Speaker 2: narrative because I don't even think Israel.
- 30:40Speaker 3: I don't even hear is Raeley's talking about that anymore.
- 30:42Speaker 1: It's all just complete nonsense. Okay, we've got Jeffrey Sachs
- 30:45Speaker 1: standing by. Let's get to it. Joining us now, is
- 30:50Speaker 1: Professor Jeffrey Sachs, a great friend of the show, to
- 30:52Speaker 1: discuss the ongoing situation with Iran, maybe some tariffs. Sarah,
- 30:55Speaker 1: thank you so much for joining us again.
- 30:57Speaker 7: It's good to see you, great to be with you.
- 30:58Speaker 7: Thanks a lot.
- 30:59Speaker 1: Well, let's kick it off. Unfortunately, we just did a
- 31:02Speaker 1: long segment about Ambassador Mike Huckabee. But one of the
- 31:05Speaker 1: more consequential answers was on war with Iran. Even though
- 31:09Speaker 1: the American people opposed this war, and he says that, yes,
- 31:13Speaker 1: you know, we do live in a democracy and our
- 31:15Speaker 1: peon brains they do matter somewhat. But also, policy considerations
- 31:20Speaker 1: cannot be conducted by Paul. Let's take a listen to that.
- 31:23Speaker 1: We'll get your reaction and get into all the details.
- 31:25Speaker 6: How much does it matter what americans think?
- 31:28Speaker 5: Well, it matters every bit what americans think. That's why
- 31:31Speaker 5: americans vote. It's why Americans have the opportunity to have
- 31:34Speaker 5: free speech. We want him to have that.
- 31:35Speaker 6: Okay, So what percentage of Americans support a war with
- 31:38Speaker 6: the Run? I don't know, do you know?
- 31:41Speaker 7: I do it?
- 31:41Speaker 4: I think it's run. I saw the numbers yesterday within
- 31:43Speaker 4: it was like twenty one percent. Ok Is that enough
- 31:47Speaker 4: to have a war with run.
- 31:49Speaker 5: We don't live in a world where you have a
- 31:53Speaker 5: poll taken to find out whether our policy should be
- 31:56Speaker 5: a particular direction.
- 31:57Speaker 6: Because I thought you just said that. No, we care
- 32:01Speaker 6: deeply about it.
- 32:02Speaker 5: But on the other hand, do we make the decisions
- 32:05Speaker 5: of foreign policy and even domestic policy based on.
- 32:08Speaker 6: We care lately about it? What sense?
- 32:11Speaker 1: So we don't actually care about it, professor, So our
- 32:14Speaker 1: very own interests and thoughts on the matter don't appear
- 32:18Speaker 1: in our own government. Just give us your general reaction
- 32:21Speaker 1: here to the ambassador potential now war with Iran and
- 32:24Speaker 1: the destabilization to our world order.
- 32:28Speaker 8: Well, in general, Huckabee should resign immediately, not for the
- 32:33Speaker 8: segment that you played, but for the segment that if
- 32:36Speaker 8: Israel takes over much of the Middle East, that's just fine.
- 32:40Speaker 8: The United States government should immediately repudiate what he said.
- 32:47Speaker 8: I think that every Arab nation in the Middle East
- 32:52Speaker 8: that has been subject to Israeli US war since Netnyau,
- 32:58Speaker 8: who came to office in the mid nineteen nineties, should
- 33:01Speaker 8: call in the US ambassador immediately and ask if this
- 33:05Speaker 8: is US policy. By the way, it may well be
- 33:07Speaker 8: US policy, because US policy is dictated by the Zionist lobby.
- 33:13Speaker 8: And this is not an outrageous statement, this is a
- 33:16Speaker 8: literal statement. This is and Huckabee, by the way, he
- 33:20Speaker 8: is a core part of that lobby. He is the
- 33:24Speaker 8: quintessential Christian Zionist, biblical fundamentalist who wants to determine American
- 33:30Speaker 8: policy not by what Americans think, not by international law,
- 33:35Speaker 8: not by American security, but by his reading of a
- 33:38Speaker 8: biblical passage from two thy five hundred years ago. The
- 33:42Speaker 8: man needs to leave his job immediately. He's a disgrace.
- 33:47Speaker 8: But worse than that, what he said needs to be
- 33:50Speaker 8: repudiated by the United States government immediately.
- 33:54Speaker 7: Is that our policy?
- 33:56Speaker 8: If it is our policy stated so, then the American
- 33:59Speaker 8: people won't know that we are led by the most
- 34:03Speaker 8: dangerous kind of delusion imaginable if that is not our
- 34:09Speaker 8: policy stated that it is not our policy.
- 34:13Speaker 2: Let's go ahead and put the latest at New York
- 34:15Speaker 2: Times reporting up here on the screen about whether or
- 34:18Speaker 2: not we are headed to war with Iran. Their attempt
- 34:21Speaker 2: to divine the latest thinking from Trump. The headline here
- 34:25Speaker 2: Trump considers targeted strike against Iran followed by a larger attack.
- 34:28Speaker 2: So I guess we're in for two wars instead of
- 34:30Speaker 2: one now, they say in part here, President Trump has
- 34:33Speaker 2: told advisors if diplomacy or any initial targeted US attack
- 34:36Speaker 2: does not lead Iran to give into his demands that
- 34:39Speaker 2: give up its nuclear program, he'll consider a much bigger
- 34:41Speaker 2: attack in coming months, intended to drive that country's leaders
- 34:45Speaker 2: from power. People briefed on internal administration deliberations said, in addition,
- 34:49Speaker 2: in this article, they lay out one potential proposal to
- 34:54Speaker 2: allow Iran to have some limited enrichment program for purposes
- 34:59Speaker 2: of research alone, and they're sort of holding this out
- 35:02Speaker 2: like maybe that would be fase saving for both the
- 35:04Speaker 2: Iranians and the Americans. You know, what is your sense
- 35:07Speaker 2: of how real this diplomacy is and how likely we
- 35:09Speaker 2: are to be headed back into war with Iran.
- 35:13Speaker 7: Again?
- 35:13Speaker 8: This is like being in a delusional dream world. Iran
- 35:19Speaker 8: has said that it does not want a nuclear weapon,
- 35:24Speaker 8: and it is said so for decades, and it is
- 35:27Speaker 8: negotiated in that point for decades, and everybody watching.
- 35:32Speaker 7: Should appreciate that.
- 35:34Speaker 8: An agreement was reached in twenty fifteen called the Joint
- 35:38Speaker 8: Comprehensive Plan of Action the JCPOA, which was reached in
- 35:42Speaker 8: twenty fifteen and unanimously adopted by the United Nations Security Council.
- 35:48Speaker 8: It's an agreement of the P five, the permanent five
- 35:51Speaker 8: members of the Security Council, the United States, Britain, France, Russia,
- 35:57Speaker 8: and China plus Germany, in which the International Atomic Agency
- 36:03Speaker 8: would rigorously monitor any activities of Iran's nuclear program to
- 36:11Speaker 8: ensure that there was no nuclear weapons program, exactly what
- 36:15Speaker 8: Iran has said that it is its policy and.
- 36:19Speaker 7: Which agreed to rigorous monitoring.
- 36:22Speaker 8: Now what happened well, Trump, because he is a pawn
- 36:29Speaker 8: of net Yahoo ripped it up when he came into office.
- 36:34Speaker 8: Trump did the bidding of the Israeli government. Why did
- 36:38Speaker 8: the Israeli government want this ripped up? Because this has
- 36:41Speaker 8: never been about nuclear weapons. This has been about Israel's
- 36:46Speaker 8: regional hegemony in the Middle East. Israel wants to topple
- 36:51Speaker 8: the Iranian regime period it has said. So this is
- 36:54Speaker 8: not a mystery, This is not my claim. This is
- 36:58Speaker 8: Israeli policy repeated year in year out. The whole idea
- 37:04Speaker 8: that Trump is negotiating to prevent Iran from getting a
- 37:08Speaker 8: nuclear weapon. Uh, that was negotiated. Trump ripped it up.
- 37:14Speaker 8: The Iranians have come back every year to say, we
- 37:17Speaker 8: don't want a nuclear weapon, we want negotiations. The United
- 37:21Speaker 8: States does not accept yes for an answer because it
- 37:26Speaker 8: works for the government of Israel. This is the point.
- 37:30Speaker 8: Why does it work for the government of Israel. It's
- 37:33Speaker 8: a little hard to understand, maybe because it's of Mike
- 37:37Speaker 8: Huckleby's parishioners, because of the people who read the Bible
- 37:42Speaker 8: and say, Okay, that's our foreign policy.
- 37:44Speaker 7: That's possible.
- 37:46Speaker 8: It may be because of what's in the Epstein files
- 37:48Speaker 8: that haven't been released. It may be blackmail, it may
- 37:52Speaker 8: be corruption, may be many other things, but it is
- 37:55Speaker 8: not about America's interests. We have no interest whatsoever in
- 38:00Speaker 8: going to a war with Iran right now. If there
- 38:04Speaker 8: is such a war, it's a war because Israel has
- 38:07Speaker 8: told the United States what to do. And that raises
- 38:11Speaker 8: a question, why has the United States done what Israel
- 38:14Speaker 8: has told the United States to do for thirty years?
- 38:18Speaker 8: And I don't just mean about Iran, I mean across
- 38:22Speaker 8: the Middle East. Why did the United States bamb Libya
- 38:26Speaker 8: in twenty eleven? Why did Obama make it presidential finding
- 38:31Speaker 8: that the CIA should topple Bashar al a Sad in
- 38:34Speaker 8: twenty twelve Operation Timber Sycamore. Why did the United States
- 38:39Speaker 8: follow Netanyahu's lead to attack and invade Iraq in two
- 38:45Speaker 8: thousand and three, not on wrong premises, but on false pretenses.
- 38:52Speaker 8: Because Israel has had the policy that the United States
- 38:57Speaker 8: should clear the way of any government in the Middle
- 39:02Speaker 8: East that opposes Israel's hegemony. Is that our policy? It
- 39:08Speaker 8: should not be our policy. That's a policy of endless war.
- 39:13Speaker 8: That's a policy that has cost American seven trillion dollars
- 39:18Speaker 8: in wars, that never had to take place, and that's
- 39:21Speaker 8: the policy that is pushing us to war with Iran.
- 39:26Speaker 8: Right now, why do you think bab Natnau showed up
- 39:30Speaker 8: again in the White House just a few days ago?
- 39:32Speaker 8: He had to make sure that his vassal, mister Trump
- 39:36Speaker 8: would do the right thing in BB's terms. That by
- 39:42Speaker 8: that I mean the wrong thing.
- 39:44Speaker 1: Right, yeah, professor, I do want to get your reaction.
- 39:46Speaker 1: You're just talking about false pretenses. We have a new
- 39:48Speaker 1: false pretense. We have the supposed negotiator who I had
- 39:52Speaker 1: some initial high hopes for, Steve Wikoff, who has now
- 39:54Speaker 1: turned into a complete disappointment, took to the American airwaves
- 39:58Speaker 1: and is now claiming that despite Operation Midnight Hammer some
- 40:02Speaker 1: seven months ago, where we supposedly wiped out Iranian capabilities,
- 40:06Speaker 1: they are now close to quote an industrial grade bomb. Mac,
- 40:11Speaker 1: can we go ahead and queue that one up? Still
- 40:14Speaker 1: trying to figure out what industrial grade bomb means. Let's
- 40:16Speaker 1: take a listen. We have red lines here from the US.
- 40:20Speaker 6: How about over with the wrong The.
- 40:21Speaker 9: President asked me that this morning, and he's I don't
- 40:24Speaker 9: want to use the word frustrated, it's almost because he
- 40:27Speaker 9: understands he's got plenty of alternatives. But it's curious.
- 40:30Speaker 6: He's curious as to.
- 40:32Speaker 10: Why they haven't. I don't want to use the word capitulated,
- 40:36Speaker 10: but why they haven't capitulated. Why under this sort of pressure,
- 40:41Speaker 10: with the amount of seat power, naval power that we
- 40:45Speaker 10: have over there, why they haven't come to us and said,
- 40:47Speaker 10: we profess that we don't want to we don't want
- 40:49Speaker 10: a weapon.
- 40:50Speaker 9: So here's what we're prepared to do. And yet it's
- 40:52Speaker 9: hard to sort of get them to that place.
- 40:55Speaker 1: So he's saying, they're weeks away from industrial grade bomb
- 40:57Speaker 1: and we just are so frustrated. Why do they capitulate?
- 41:01Speaker 1: You know, why use to capitulate?
- 41:04Speaker 8: First of all, they don't want a weapon. They want
- 41:07Speaker 8: to negotiate a solution. They want to negotiate a solution
- 41:10Speaker 8: with the International Atomic Energy Agency rigorously monitoring.
- 41:15Speaker 7: What they do.
- 41:16Speaker 8: That has been true for fifteen years. This is just nincompoops.
- 41:21Speaker 8: Honest to god, what do they think they're doing? By
- 41:24Speaker 8: the way, I spoke to someone that is extremely knowledgeable
- 41:28Speaker 8: about these negotiations, and there is no expert in the
- 41:33Speaker 8: room in the US side, nobody that knows what they're
- 41:37Speaker 8: talking about, No nuclear experts, no one that is involved
- 41:41Speaker 8: at a level of understanding what this is really about. Now,
- 41:46Speaker 8: in terms of substance, what is true is that the
- 41:51Speaker 8: bombing last summer did not stop Iran from getting a
- 41:56Speaker 8: nuclear weapon if.
- 41:57Speaker 7: It wants one.
- 41:59Speaker 8: So all of the bravado of Trump that, oh, yes,
- 42:06Speaker 8: we ended their nuclear program. This is the greatest thing
- 42:09Speaker 8: since this history of the world began. This is total
- 42:15Speaker 8: Trump bs from beginning to end. That's the world we
- 42:18Speaker 8: live in. It's all BS morning till night. No, it
- 42:22Speaker 8: didn't stop anything. It was a useless attack that made
- 42:25Speaker 8: the world a lot more dangerous. Could Iron get a
- 42:29Speaker 8: nuclear weapon, Yes, it could get a nuclear weapon if
- 42:32Speaker 8: it wanted one. Could it be stopped from getting a
- 42:35Speaker 8: nuclear weapon? Yes, under its own volition, it doesn't want one,
- 42:40Speaker 8: and it has said we agree to all of the monitoring.
- 42:46Speaker 8: We agree to the international controls. Trump is the one
- 42:51Speaker 8: that ripped up that agreement. This is so confused, so
- 42:56Speaker 8: upside down completely, it's hard to even begin to understand
- 43:02Speaker 8: any of this. But I just to credit Tucker Carlson
- 43:07Speaker 8: with exposing one piece of this. How utterly bizarre the
- 43:13Speaker 8: politics are at the top of the US government. Completely bizarre, delusional.
- 43:20Speaker 8: So that's where we are.
- 43:22Speaker 2: Do you think those comments from Huckabee saying, yeahine, I'm
- 43:26Speaker 2: good if Israel pursues, you know, greater Israel based on
- 43:29Speaker 2: biblical prophecy or biblical promises as he reads it, Yes, yes,
- 43:33Speaker 2: exactly as he reads it. Do you think that has
- 43:35Speaker 2: any significant impact on some of the US allies in
- 43:40Speaker 2: the region, who would be you know, implicated by those comments.
- 43:46Speaker 7: It's sad.
- 43:47Speaker 8: The Arab world has been beaten down so long and
- 43:52Speaker 8: so hard for centuries by the way, first by the Ottomans,
- 43:57Speaker 8: then by the British, then by the Americans, then by
- 43:59Speaker 8: the Israelis. So they are so beaten down that when
- 44:03Speaker 8: they see something like this they complain, but they should
- 44:08Speaker 8: do more than the complaint. It's actually a little bit
- 44:12Speaker 8: sad if you if the lead American representative in Israel says, yeah,
- 44:19Speaker 8: if Israel wants to take over most of the Middle East,
- 44:22Speaker 8: that's good with us.
- 44:23Speaker 7: That's not a matter for complaint.
- 44:26Speaker 8: That is a matter for an emergency un Security Council session.
- 44:30Speaker 8: That is a matter for this person to be relieved
- 44:34Speaker 8: of duty immediately. That is a matter for the United
- 44:37Speaker 8: States government to repudiate those words. That's a matter for
- 44:40Speaker 8: the Israeli government to repudiate those words, though unfortunately there
- 44:44Speaker 8: are people in the Israeli government that have that insane
- 44:48Speaker 8: grandiosity that's going to get us all into into World
- 44:52Speaker 8: War three if we continue on this path.
- 44:55Speaker 1: So I do want to ask.
- 45:00Speaker 8: So just to answer your question. At Crystal, they're very concerned,
- 45:05Speaker 8: but they're so much under the hammer all the time.
- 45:09Speaker 8: They're really concerned about a war starting tomorrow. They're really
- 45:12Speaker 8: concerned about any kind of retribution. This is the sad point.
- 45:17Speaker 8: It makes no sense in terms of security, peace, honesty.
- 45:22Speaker 7: What either side is saying. Just one more point.
- 45:25Speaker 8: Marco Rubio said about ten days ago, well, we don't
- 45:29Speaker 8: want to just have negotiations about nuclear weapons. This has
- 45:33Speaker 8: to be about a whole range of issues. And the
- 45:36Speaker 8: Iranian Foreign Minister Arakchi gave a speech a couple of
- 45:40Speaker 8: days later in Doha, a very fine.
- 45:43Speaker 7: Speech by the way.
- 45:44Speaker 8: They said, yes, we could have regional peace, and here's
- 45:47Speaker 8: a path to regional peace, and he laid out the
- 45:49Speaker 8: two state solution. He laid out mutual security in the region.
- 45:54Speaker 8: The US didn't pick it up at all. The mainstream
- 45:57Speaker 8: media in the United States didn't even cover it. I
- 45:59Speaker 8: went to the New York Times reporters, you are going
- 46:01Speaker 8: to mention the speech. It was after Rubio said we
- 46:05Speaker 8: should have this. Then the Iranians responded. As far as
- 46:08Speaker 8: I know, they never even wrote about the speech. So
- 46:12Speaker 8: we're in a kind of game, bizarre, delusional, dangerous world
- 46:19Speaker 8: with the Mike huckabees.
- 46:20Speaker 7: Oh my god, this is the world we're in.
- 46:24Speaker 1: Yeah, and Professor, that's what I was really going to
- 46:26Speaker 1: ask you about.
- 46:26Speaker 6: Is this?
- 46:27Speaker 1: You know, they like you're talking about the New York Times.
- 46:29Speaker 1: They present it as normal. We'll do a small attack
- 46:33Speaker 1: followed by a larger attack. Yeah, if it doesn't work.
- 46:35Speaker 1: And you're like, wait, what so you get two wars
- 46:37Speaker 1: for the price of one a small attack and if
- 46:39Speaker 1: it doesn't work, what does work even mean? Like that,
- 46:42Speaker 1: they're going to agree to what they've already agreed to
- 46:44Speaker 1: and then continue to say that they will. The only
- 46:46Speaker 1: thing they don't want to give up is their ballistic
- 46:48Speaker 1: missiles for good reason, so that they don't become an
- 46:50Speaker 1: Israeli rupt state, which is what they want.
- 46:53Speaker 8: And when they're told, yes, we're going to kill you,
- 46:55Speaker 8: we're going to destroy you, we're going to overthrow you,
- 46:57Speaker 8: you have to disarm.
- 46:58Speaker 7: If you don't want to be killed, destroyed, overthrown.
- 47:01Speaker 8: You have to disarm so then we can kill you,
- 47:03Speaker 8: destroy you, and overthrow you.
- 47:04Speaker 7: Of course, the whole thing is so absurd.
- 47:08Speaker 8: And let me add another level of absurdity The New
- 47:12Speaker 8: York Times, which just distinguish itself every day in the
- 47:17Speaker 8: propaganda and the falsity of its reporting. I'm sorry to say,
- 47:21Speaker 8: every day reports about the protests on the streets because
- 47:26Speaker 8: of the economic suffering of the Iranian people, but they
- 47:31Speaker 8: didn't report that our own Treasury secretary Bestened on January twentieth,
- 47:39Speaker 8: in Davos, in a nonchalant interview with Fox Business, said
- 47:45Speaker 8: that it was America's policy to crush the Iranian economy,
- 47:51Speaker 8: to destroy the currency, to create a dollar shortage, to
- 47:56Speaker 8: create a shortage of imports, so that people would go
- 48:00Speaker 8: out onto the streets. And then, with a little smirk
- 48:04Speaker 8: on his face, he says, we call this economic statecraft.
- 48:07Speaker 8: And he says it's going in a very good direction.
- 48:10Speaker 8: You'd think someone would ask a question, maybe even write
- 48:16Speaker 8: an editorial. Is this our state craft to destroy other economies,
- 48:22Speaker 8: especially ones that are saying they want to negotiate with us?
- 48:25Speaker 8: And mister Witcoff said, it's about capitulation.
- 48:30Speaker 7: Well, come on, what a world.
- 48:33Speaker 8: Sorry, this is so dangerous for us, and the American
- 48:36Speaker 8: people know it well.
- 48:39Speaker 2: Speaking of Scott Bessett, and by the way, I learned
- 48:42Speaker 2: from you that the way that he gained his wealth
- 48:45Speaker 2: and prominence was from attacking currencies.
- 48:48Speaker 3: So he is such a that's.
- 48:49Speaker 7: Why he's there all the job there.
- 48:51Speaker 8: He knows nothing about being a Treasury secretary. He's there
- 48:55Speaker 8: to destroy the Iranian currency.
- 48:58Speaker 2: Well, let's go ahead and turn to what's going on
- 49:01Speaker 2: here in the US, which obviously also has major global implications,
- 49:05Speaker 2: which is we got a Supreme Court ruling striking down
- 49:08Speaker 2: some of the tariffs authorized under AIPA that Trump has
- 49:12Speaker 2: been using as a cudgel in various negotiations and threats
- 49:16Speaker 2: around the world. First of all, just your reaction to
- 49:19Speaker 2: the significance of this decision, given that Trump is already saying, well,
- 49:23Speaker 2: I'm going to use other authorities to try to accomplish
- 49:25Speaker 2: the same thing.
- 49:27Speaker 8: It's very significant because the Supreme Court did not buckle
- 49:31Speaker 8: to the stupidity and the bullying that now guides America
- 49:36Speaker 8: when Trump launched the so called reciprocal tariffs. I had
- 49:43Speaker 8: two reactions within the first minute. First that the actual
- 49:49Speaker 8: application of some stupid formula by our international trade representative
- 49:57Speaker 8: was so primitive you would not have thought of first
- 50:00Speaker 8: year student would come up with something so idiotic. So
- 50:04Speaker 8: the incompetence was stunning. But the second point was I said,
- 50:09Speaker 8: this is illegal, this is ridiculous. He doesn't have the
- 50:12Speaker 8: authority as one person to revamp the American tariff system.
- 50:17Speaker 8: That is Article one, section eight of the Constitution, which
- 50:22Speaker 8: says that the right to levy duties and taxes belongs
- 50:25Speaker 8: to Congress. That's why we created our country, by the way,
- 50:29Speaker 8: in a protest about one person making taxation for the
- 50:34Speaker 8: American colonies. It was obvious that what Trump was doing
- 50:41Speaker 8: was illegal. It was obvious that it was stupid in
- 50:45Speaker 8: that it would accomplish nothing if these people knew anything
- 50:49Speaker 8: about international economics. By the way, and our deficit in
- 50:53Speaker 8: goods went up in twenty twenty five, the employment in
- 50:58Speaker 8: manufacturing went down by eighty three thousand workers in twenty
- 51:02Speaker 8: twenty five. In other words, even on their narrow terms,
- 51:06Speaker 8: whether it was legal or not, it was a complete failure.
- 51:10Speaker 8: But it was predictably so. The only thing I couldn't
- 51:13Speaker 8: predict is whether the Supreme Court would cave in, But
- 51:16Speaker 8: they did a very good job, and I salute the
- 51:18Speaker 8: Chief Justice John Roberts, who's a classmate of mine, for
- 51:23Speaker 8: his very clear, correct, bold opinion.
- 51:30Speaker 7: Bravo.
- 51:31Speaker 8: Now there's another issue. Trump took from us illegally one
- 51:36Speaker 8: hundred forty billion dollars.
- 51:40Speaker 7: I want my part back. You should want your part back.
- 51:43Speaker 8: They can't just say, oh, well, isn't that something We're
- 51:47Speaker 8: just going to continue. They owe us one hundred forty
- 51:51Speaker 8: billion dollars illegally taken through a brazen grab of power
- 51:56Speaker 8: he stole from us.
- 51:57Speaker 7: Return the money.
- 52:01Speaker 1: To that point, sir, the Secretary of the Treasury is saying, no,
- 52:04Speaker 1: we're not going to return the money. Matt, Can we
- 52:06Speaker 1: go ahead and queue up D one so that the
- 52:09Speaker 1: professor can listen to Secretary Scott Besson, who you said there,
- 52:12Speaker 1: who's like, no, we're not returning. There will be no
- 52:14Speaker 1: refunds and all of us will be litigated in court.
- 52:16Speaker 1: Let's take a listen.
- 52:17Speaker 11: Will you refund the roughly one hundred and thirty four
- 52:20Speaker 11: billion dollars in revenue taken by these emergency tariffs?
- 52:26Speaker 12: Well, Dana, that's not the big question. Let's just level
- 52:30Speaker 12: set here. What the Supreme Court did was a very
- 52:33Speaker 12: narrow reading of the president's authority under the AEPA tariffs.
- 52:38Speaker 12: We have other tariff authorities which had been functioning Section
- 52:42Speaker 12: two thirty two terriffs, Section three oh one tariffs, and Dana,
- 52:46Speaker 12: when you say it's a big question, that's bad framing
- 52:49Speaker 12: because the Supreme Court didn't even address that. The Supreme
- 52:52Speaker 12: Court remanded it down to a lower court. And you know,
- 52:56Speaker 12: we will follow what they say, but that could be
- 52:59Speaker 12: weeks or months when we hear them. So the Supreme
- 53:02Speaker 12: Court did not address refunds.
- 53:04Speaker 11: Sure, they did an address refund that is clearly going
- 53:07Speaker 11: to be up to you, which.
- 53:08Speaker 7: Is no, no, no, no, it is not up to me.
- 53:11Speaker 2: It is.
- 53:13Speaker 7: Not up to the administration. It is up to the
- 53:15Speaker 7: lower court. Let's just be clear on that. He's such
- 53:19Speaker 7: a creep. You don't even know where to start.
- 53:21Speaker 8: You stole one hundred and forty billion dollars, give it back, bestent,
- 53:26Speaker 8: or just leave your job. You're not our treasury secretary.
- 53:30Speaker 8: You're a thug to bring down the Iranian government. Come on,
- 53:33Speaker 8: you stole the money, you did it illegally. It was
- 53:36Speaker 8: a brazen grab for power. Take some responsibility.
- 53:39Speaker 3: Please, let's go and put D four up on the screen.
- 53:43Speaker 2: Because one of the other questions is, like, Okay, in
- 53:46Speaker 2: the context of all of these threats of very high
- 53:49Speaker 2: tariffs using this authority, there are a bunch of countries
- 53:53Speaker 2: that did some sort of deal with the Trump administration
- 53:57Speaker 2: and now they're wondering what this means for them and
- 54:00Speaker 2: those deals. I'm sure they're probably also having some potential
- 54:03Speaker 2: buyer's remorse giving into these threats, given that this authority
- 54:07Speaker 2: has now been deemed illegal and unconstitutional. So two questions
- 54:12Speaker 2: really for you here, you know, reflectively on these countries
- 54:15Speaker 2: that did make deals, and then also, how much does
- 54:17Speaker 2: this newter Trump's ability to act like the mob boss
- 54:20Speaker 2: and the you know, the thug around the world since
- 54:23Speaker 2: these tariffs were one of the things tools in his
- 54:26Speaker 2: toolkit for behaving that way.
- 54:28Speaker 7: Great questions.
- 54:29Speaker 8: First of all, the authority that Trump is using right
- 54:33Speaker 8: now is also illegal. He's claiming a section one twenty
- 54:38Speaker 8: two of the Trade Act, which says that in the
- 54:43Speaker 8: context of a balance of payments emergency, that tariffs can
- 54:48Speaker 8: be put on for one hundred fifty days up to
- 54:51Speaker 8: fifteen percent. We have no balance of payments emergency. He's
- 54:55Speaker 8: doing it again. This is a brazen abuse of power.
- 55:00Speaker 8: This should be understood. This isn't just a technical workaround that, oh,
- 55:05Speaker 8: I have five ways to do it. He has maybe
- 55:08Speaker 8: five ways to cheat. But he's cheating again, and he's
- 55:12Speaker 8: deepening the mess. So this is the first point. What
- 55:15Speaker 8: he's doing is illegal. We have no balance of payments emergency.
- 55:23Speaker 8: I taught balance of payments economics at Harvard for twenty years.
- 55:28Speaker 8: I can tell you we have no balance of payments emergency.
- 55:33Speaker 8: So what he's doing is not legal. Now again, you
- 55:39Speaker 8: can't predict what the Supreme Court will do, though we
- 55:43Speaker 8: have more hope this time around that they'll again say
- 55:47Speaker 8: you can't do this. But of course it's deepening the mess,
- 55:50Speaker 8: the confusion. Trump keeps stealing our money. This is another
- 55:54Speaker 8: point people should understand. I think that they douitively. Trump
- 56:02Speaker 8: says that the other countries are paying.
- 56:04Speaker 7: This is absurd.
- 56:06Speaker 8: This is money coming out of your household income, and
- 56:11Speaker 8: it's an average of one thousand dollars per household that
- 56:14Speaker 8: was taken in this first round of illegal power grab.
- 56:19Speaker 8: This isn't coming out of foreign countries. This isn't oh,
- 56:22Speaker 8: we're going to find another way to make them pay.
- 56:25Speaker 8: This is the American people paying for this, not foreigners.
- 56:29Speaker 8: And this is demonstrated all over the place in careful analysis.
- 56:35Speaker 8: Because the Americans paid the tax. Because the foreign exporters
- 56:39Speaker 8: to the US didn't cut their prices to keep the
- 56:42Speaker 8: price the same, the prices went up. Duh, that's how
- 56:46Speaker 8: it works. And so this is Trump stealing from us
- 56:51Speaker 8: and bestn't stealing from us, and his nonchalance, I don't care.
- 56:56Speaker 8: That's a small deal. Yeah, one hundred and forty billion dollars.
- 56:59Speaker 8: Maybe a small deal for you, but it's not a
- 57:01Speaker 8: small deal for the American people and for people that
- 57:04Speaker 8: can't pay their bills. Now, as for the other countries.
- 57:09Speaker 7: They should say everything stops. Are you kidding?
- 57:13Speaker 8: We got bamboozled, we got threatened, we got blustered. As
- 57:18Speaker 8: Trump said, he liked how the countries came to kiss
- 57:20Speaker 8: his ass.
- 57:21Speaker 7: That's a quote. And of course they should say.
- 57:26Speaker 8: No, no deals, what deal you lied to us, You cheated,
- 57:30Speaker 8: Your Supreme Court tells you, tells us you don't have
- 57:33Speaker 8: this power. No deal, all on false pretenses.
- 57:38Speaker 7: Period.
- 57:39Speaker 8: So the New York Times agonizing about this, My god,
- 57:43Speaker 8: how weird is that?
- 57:46Speaker 7: Who are these people? Honestly?
- 57:48Speaker 1: Wait, I know if you too, I often asked, sometimes
- 57:54Speaker 1: even they asked that question. Can we put D two
- 57:57Speaker 1: up here on the screen, because I'm curious for your reaction.
- 57:59Speaker 1: The only statutory authority they have now is about this
- 58:02Speaker 1: fifteen percent global tariff which.
- 58:05Speaker 7: Will be in place.
- 58:06Speaker 1: I was just mentioned, right of course, But and you
- 58:09Speaker 1: know you've talked there about the illegality. But how are
- 58:12Speaker 1: you just the other countries you think about, Japan, South Korea, Britain,
- 58:17Speaker 1: the EU. They came here, they made these fake promises
- 58:21Speaker 1: to spend five thousand trillion dollars and none of it
- 58:27Speaker 1: will actually come to pass. But now you have this
- 58:30Speaker 1: fifteen percent tariff. It was raised from ten. It only
- 58:33Speaker 1: has one hundred and fifty nine days I believe that
- 58:37Speaker 1: hundred and fifty days to be put into place. And
- 58:40Speaker 1: yet we could potentially have fifteen percent global tarff. But
- 58:43Speaker 1: how would that even affect the negotiation power? Like, that's
- 58:46Speaker 1: my curiosity.
- 58:47Speaker 8: He has no negotiating power, okay, because this is not
- 58:51Speaker 8: what he was doing before, which was like a madman
- 58:54Speaker 8: throwing you know, lightning bolts down from Mount a limb
- 59:00Speaker 8: as saying, I punish you.
- 59:01Speaker 7: I punish you.
- 59:02Speaker 8: I don't like the ad being run in Ontario, I
- 59:05Speaker 8: don't like the lawsuit against the former president Bolsonaro.
- 59:09Speaker 7: I don't like you doing this.
- 59:11Speaker 8: He was acting as if he just can punish and
- 59:15Speaker 8: crush anyone he wants. Now, this is completely different. This
- 59:20Speaker 8: is not emergency powers that he claimed that he never had.
- 59:25Speaker 8: This is about a balance of payments crisis that actually
- 59:28Speaker 8: doesn't exist. So he can't bludgeon and threaten other countries,
- 59:37Speaker 8: and the other countries should say, well, excuse me. That
- 59:41Speaker 8: was a bad year. You did a lot of bad
- 59:44Speaker 8: things to us. You made a lot of threats that
- 59:46Speaker 8: you didn't have the power to make. Let's just take
- 59:49Speaker 8: a pause. Everything is set aside.
- 59:52Speaker 2: Yeah, and I think you know that it is a
- 59:54Speaker 2: significant decision. Also to through Trump's reaction, he was lashing
- 59:58Speaker 2: out at the justices, etc.
- 1:00:00Speaker 3: Apparently exploded when he learned the news.
- 1:00:03Speaker 2: The last question I had for is a specific one
- 1:00:05Speaker 2: vis a vis Mexico and Cuba. Actually, this tariff threat
- 1:00:09Speaker 2: was one of the ways that Trump was trying to
- 1:00:11Speaker 2: coerce the Mexican government to, you know, abide by this
- 1:00:15Speaker 2: oil embargo. That the US is imposing on Cuba to
- 1:00:20Speaker 2: you keep them from sending oil to the island, which
- 1:00:22Speaker 2: is deeply suffering now due to our economic warfare against them.
- 1:00:27Speaker 2: Do you think this changes the calculus at all for
- 1:00:29Speaker 2: the Shinebomb government.
- 1:00:32Speaker 7: I hope that it does.
- 1:00:34Speaker 8: What Trump is trying to do to bring down Cuba
- 1:00:40Speaker 8: in a regime change operation is also extraordinarily illegal and
- 1:00:45Speaker 8: cruel and an active war. Actually it's a quarantine around Cuba,
- 1:00:49Speaker 8: and it's absolutely unacceptable. And I hope that there is
- 1:00:54Speaker 8: a solution, because, again, economic stakecraft should not mean the
- 1:00:59Speaker 8: suffering of other people. It should not mean a Middle
- 1:01:03Speaker 8: East that's a flame from Libya to Iran. If we
- 1:01:08Speaker 8: had any decency at all, which I'm not sure is
- 1:01:12Speaker 8: a term that can apply to our current administration or
- 1:01:16Speaker 8: our deep state for that matter, we would not be
- 1:01:18Speaker 8: doing the things that we're doing.
- 1:01:21Speaker 7: Wow.
- 1:01:21Speaker 1: Well, we always appreciate your analysis, sir. Thank you so
- 1:01:24Speaker 1: much for joining us.
- 1:01:25Speaker 7: Great to be with you. Hope we do it again soon.
- 1:01:27Speaker 6: Oh always.
- 1:01:29Speaker 7: Thanks.
- 1:01:30Speaker 1: All right, thank you guys so much for watching. We
- 1:01:31Speaker 1: appreciate it. We should be back in studio tomorrow. As
- 1:01:34Speaker 1: long as all the roads, electricity and all of that cooperates,
- 1:01:37Speaker 1: and of course we're going to have our great State
- 1:01:38Speaker 1: of the Union live stream, so we'll see you all
- 1:01:40Speaker 1: then
