Chesla Wechsler: folks, I want to talk to you about Buckham Fair. Buckham Fair is a fundraiser in Dorset, England on the farm of Martin Clunes and Philippa Braithwaite Clunes. We know Martin as Dr. Martin Ellingham from the original Doc Martin and Dr. Robert Best in Best Medicine. Philippa is the producer and or executive producer of both of the shows. Without them, there wouldn't be any of this, including Podcast Portwenn. The fair has raised over 600,000 pounds for various charitable causes: Hospices, animal welfare, the air ambulance service. This year, they are fundraising for the Dorset County Hospital's emergency wing and critical care unit. The hospital is currently handling two and a half times the number of patient encounters it was designed for.
