- 0:10Speaker 1: presented by mark spain real estate.
- 0:11Speaker 2: Which one would you say is the right foot the actual.
- 0:13Speaker 1: Right foot or the left foot it would be the
- 0:15Speaker 1: right foot interesting yeah double meaning that's a.
- 0:17Speaker 3: Conversation for another time Nicolas Cage and Antonio Banderas, they
- 0:21Speaker 3: are going to star in season five of True Detective.
- 0:24Speaker 2: I think he's going by Nick Cage now, right? Instead
- 0:27Speaker 2: of Nicolas Cage.
- 0:28Speaker 3: Anyway, we don't really have many details that have been
- 0:31Speaker 3: shared about the plot just yet. But we know that
- 0:33Speaker 3: Nick is going to play a character named Henry Logan.
- 0:36Speaker 3: Antonio will play Rye Garcia. The series will take place
- 0:40Speaker 3: in Jamaica Bay in New York.
- 0:42Speaker 2: And Issa Lopez.
- 0:43Speaker 3: She's returning to write, direct, and executive produce after leading
- 0:46Speaker 3: season four. So if you liked season four, which was phenomenal,
- 0:51Speaker 3: then you will really, I think, like this next season.
- 0:53Speaker 4: Hopefully. Fingers crossed.
- 0:55Speaker 5: That's my hope.
- 0:55Speaker 2: I loved season four.
- 0:57Speaker 3: So now I'm really pumped for season five, which is
- 0:59Speaker 3: set for production in 2027.
- 1:01Speaker 2: Hold on.
- 1:02Speaker 1: Remind me who was in season four because now I
- 1:03Speaker 1: want to watch it. Oh, I did watch this. Yes,
- 1:06Speaker 1: the Jodie Foster one in the cold. Yeah, yeah.
- 1:08Speaker 3: I wasn't going to call you out, but I was like, Kevin,
- 1:10Speaker 3: we've talked about it.
- 1:11Speaker 5: Well, there were so many seasons. I can't remember four things.
- 1:14Speaker 6: So many seasons.
- 1:15Speaker 2: There's four. There were shows with like 15 seasons, dude.
- 1:18Speaker 2: It was very good, though. I really loved it. I
- 1:22Speaker 2: know my husband really loved it, so we're very much
- 1:24Speaker 2: looking forward to season five.
- 1:25Speaker 3: The Tennessee Vols beat Alabama over the weekend in a
- 1:28Speaker 3: huge rivalry matchup. The end score was 26-10 for Tennessee's
- 1:32Speaker 3: third straight home game victory over Alabama.
- 1:35Speaker 2: Congrats to them.
- 1:37Speaker 3: George McIntyre, a Brentwood Academy alum, won his first game
- 1:40Speaker 3: as the starting quarterback at home, which is really awesome.
- 1:43Speaker 2: The Vols face South Carolina this Saturday.
- 1:46Speaker 3: And McDonald's Boo Buckets. They're making a return, but they're
- 1:50Speaker 3: going to have a Disney villain makeover. The 2026 collection
- 1:55Speaker 3: is rumored to feature Scar, Cruella de Vil, Ursula, Maleficent,
- 1:59Speaker 3: and Jafar, each with their own color and design. They
- 2:02Speaker 3: are expected to arrive October 20th, which is tomorrow, as
- 2:05Speaker 3: part of Happy Meals. McDonald's has yet to confirm the
- 2:08Speaker 3: release date or any of the promotion details. These are
- 2:11Speaker 3: all rumors as of right now, but I remember Boo Buckets,
- 2:14Speaker 3: and they were.
- 2:15Speaker 2: Just so cool. Like, you got so excited about a
- 2:18Speaker 2: boo bucket. I'm Ricky Sanchez, and those are the three
- 2:21Speaker 2: things you need to know.
- 2:21Speaker 5: That takes me back. Thank you, Ricky. Appreciate it.
- 2:24Speaker 1: We've got Matt Reif tickets on the way for.
- 2:26Speaker 5: The first caller of the day. We've got those all
- 2:28Speaker 5: week for you.
- 2:28Speaker 1: As you start your morning, this guy's going to be
- 2:31Speaker 1: with us in December at our Jingle Ball.
- 2:33Speaker 5: It's Teddy Swims. Get your tickets before they're gone. 107.5theriver.com.
- 2:37Speaker 6: Ricky, Zach, and Mano in the morning.
- 2:39Speaker 3: It's Ricky, Zach, and Mano in the morning on 107.5
- 2:41Speaker 3: The River. Starting our Monday morning off right with some
- 2:45Speaker 3: tickets to see Matt Rife.
- 2:47Speaker 2: Let's see who we have on the line. We got
- 2:49Speaker 2: Ashley in Columbia. Good morning, Ashley. Good morning.
- 2:52Speaker 6: Hey, girl. Hey.
- 2:53Speaker 3: How are y'all?
- 2:55Speaker 2: We're good.
- 2:56Speaker 3: How are you doing this Monday morning?
- 2:57Speaker 2: How was your weekend?
- 2:58Speaker 7: It was a great weekend, but it is so cold
- 3:01Speaker 7: this morning.
- 3:02Speaker 2: Thank you.
- 3:03Speaker 5: Ricky and Zach have been arguing about this since we
- 3:05Speaker 5: walked in the door.
- 3:06Speaker 4: Ashley, I literally came in this morning with like a
- 3:08Speaker 4: big white puffer jacket on. She was like, what are
- 3:10Speaker 4: you doing, bro? And I was like, it's freezing.
- 3:13Speaker 2: I'm wearing short sleeves today, Ashley.
- 3:15Speaker 3: Okay, the puffer jacket is appropriate in Nashville until like 9.30,
- 3:18Speaker 3: and then it's sweater weather.
- 3:20Speaker 5: Thank you, thank.
- 3:21Speaker 4: You, thank you.
- 3:22Speaker 2: Y'all are so dramatic.
- 3:23Speaker 1: Well, Zach said the first thing he said this morning was,
- 3:25Speaker 1: I am over the winter.
- 3:27Speaker 5: Yes. Buckle up, buddy.
- 3:28Speaker 2: We're not even in winter yet. This is fall right now.
- 3:32Speaker 4: It feels like winter.
- 3:34Speaker 2: So traumatic.
- 3:35Speaker 3: Listen, I guess it's really, you can take the girl
- 3:37Speaker 3: out of Jersey. You can't take the Jersey out of
- 3:39Speaker 3: the girl. This is not that cold for me. I
- 3:41Speaker 3: was so delighted to walk outside in a short sleeve shirt.
- 3:43Speaker 2: I was like, Ooh, this feels good.
- 3:45Speaker 5: She just stood on her porch and yelled, forget about it.
- 3:48Speaker 4: My God.
- 3:51Speaker 2: I'm from Jersey.
- 3:51Speaker 3: Ashley, before he starts going on a whole tangent of
- 3:54Speaker 3: this fake Jersey accent that he does, I do want
- 3:56Speaker 3: to tell you that you are the first caller of
- 3:58Speaker 3: the day this morning.
- 3:59Speaker 2: You won tickets to see Matt Reif at Bridgestone Arena.
- 4:02Speaker 4: Hey, thank you so much.
- 4:04Speaker 2: You're so welcome.
- 4:05Speaker 5: The show's coming up this weekend.
- 4:06Speaker 1: Hey, real quick, you said you had like a wonderful
- 4:08Speaker 1: weekend or a great weekend.
- 4:09Speaker 5: What'd you do? What'd you do?
- 4:11Speaker 4: So my church is getting ready to celebrate their 157th anniversary.
- 4:13Speaker 6: Whoa.
- 4:16Speaker 5: That's a lot of years.
- 4:17Speaker 2: So you did a lot of work for that then.
- 4:18Speaker 1: Everybody's getting prepared.
- 4:20Speaker 4: We just got a lot of things going on and
- 4:22Speaker 4: signing up to do everything and making sure that everything
- 4:25Speaker 4: is amazing.
- 4:26Speaker 6: Cool.
- 4:26Speaker 4: Also, that's like the only thing I can think of
- 4:28Speaker 4: that's actually older than Kevin.
- 4:32Speaker 6: Dang!
- 4:32Speaker 4: That was good, Zach.
- 4:33Speaker 2: That was good.
- 4:34Speaker 4: Starting the day off right, Kev.
- 4:35Speaker 1: We're going to put you on hold and get all
- 4:37Speaker 1: your information. Have fun at the show and happy birthday, church.
- 4:40Speaker 6: Awesome.
- 4:40Speaker 1: Thank you. If you didn't win, we've got more tomorrow.
- 4:46Speaker 1: And if you don't want to win, just forget about it.
- 4:49Speaker 7: Kevin.
- 4:49Speaker 2: That's not how any of us talk in Jersey. Ricky, Zach,
- 4:52Speaker 2: and Mano in the morning.
- 4:54Speaker 4: Avril.
- 4:54Speaker 5: Love that. Throwback. It's 107.5 The River.
- 4:57Speaker 1: Zach, we're all very curious how your celebrity judging went
- 5:01Speaker 1: over the weekend.
- 5:01Speaker 4: Well, I tokened myself as a Simon Cowell of the group.
- 5:05Speaker 4: It was very fun.
- 5:06Speaker 2: That was expected.
- 5:07Speaker 4: It was really cool. It was a lip sync battle
- 5:09Speaker 4: out in Mount Juliet, and it was for a great cause.
- 5:12Speaker 4: And the people that won, they had bribes, props.
- 5:14Speaker 2: Bribes?
- 5:15Speaker 5: They were dedicated to it.
- 5:16Speaker 2: Bribes.
- 5:17Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 5:18Speaker 1: Okay, let's play Bruno Mars and get the full story, Zach.
- 5:22Speaker 1: Simon Cowell moment over the weekend.
- 5:23Speaker 5: We'll hear it next.
- 5:24Speaker 6: Ricky, Zach, and Mano in the morning.
- 5:27Speaker 4: On 107.5 The River.
- 5:29Speaker 3: We don't need Simon Cowell because we have Zach Woodward instead.
- 5:32Speaker 3: It's Ricky, Zach, and Mano in the morning on 107.5
- 5:34Speaker 3: The River. Zach just recently judged a lip.
- 5:38Speaker 2: Sync battle competition.
- 5:40Speaker 3: So people weren't actually singing.
- 5:42Speaker 6: Correct.
- 5:42Speaker 2: But that doesn't mean... that you were any less Simon
- 5:46Speaker 2: towards them.
- 5:46Speaker 4: It was all about the performance and the knowledge of
- 5:49Speaker 4: the lyrics to make sure that they were actually lip
- 5:51Speaker 4: syncing correctly.
- 5:52Speaker 3: The way that he is moving his hand right now
- 5:54Speaker 3: as if this is the most serious conversation he's ever
- 5:57Speaker 3: had in his life.
- 5:58Speaker 6: It is.
- 5:59Speaker 3: Okay, so can you tell us the criteria that you
- 6:01Speaker 3: based them off? You said the knowledge of the lyrics.
- 6:03Speaker 4: Yes, I needed to make sure that you actually knew
- 6:05Speaker 4: the lyrics so that you were lip syncing correctly.
- 6:08Speaker 5: And you could tell, right?
- 6:09Speaker 1: Like while you're, you know, the person's up there, you
- 6:11Speaker 1: can tell if they're just kind of like faking it.
- 6:13Speaker 4: If they're saying like watermelon, watermelon, watermelon. Yeah, you can see.
- 6:16Speaker 4: You can tell the difference. And also the inflection, the
- 6:19Speaker 4: way that the original artist says the words and the lyrics,
- 6:22Speaker 4: you can tell based on the mouth movement of the
- 6:24Speaker 4: lip syncher on.
- 6:24Speaker 3: Stage okay so i will say right here right now
- 6:27Speaker 3: i'm going to give you a compliment zach even though we're.
- 6:29Speaker 2: Making fun of him because we know that he's.
- 6:30Speaker 3: Very simon cowell about these type of things like not
- 6:33Speaker 3: necessarily the nicest he will judge you okay you have
- 6:38Speaker 3: a lot of experience in this though because we go
- 6:40Speaker 3: to a lot of drag performances we do and drag
- 6:43Speaker 3: performances are all lip-syncing and performance so like you know
- 6:47Speaker 3: when a drag queen knows her routine hundred percent so
- 6:50Speaker 3: you are prepared.
- 6:51Speaker 5: It's a good point and this was perfect.
- 6:52Speaker 4: For me honestly it really was So yeah, I was
- 6:55Speaker 4: one of the celebrity judges along with Carrie Sharp from
- 6:57Speaker 4: News Channel 5. She was super sweet. First time meeting her.
- 7:00Speaker 4: She's like, I'm obsessed with her now.
- 7:03Speaker 5: So it was really cool.
- 7:04Speaker 4: It was out in Mount Juliet at East Nashville Beer
- 7:06Speaker 4: Works for a nonprofit called Grace and Glory. And so
- 7:10Speaker 4: the people that competed, I literally was the Simon Cowell
- 7:13Speaker 4: and Carrie Sharp was the Paula Abdul.
- 7:17Speaker 5: It was really sweet.
- 7:19Speaker 4: They had a bunch of little bitty kids, probably ages
- 7:22Speaker 4: 5 to 10.
- 7:23Speaker 5: You simoned little kids?
- 7:25Speaker 4: They were also adults, Kevin.
- 7:27Speaker 2: They gotta learn at some point, kids.
- 7:29Speaker 4: Someone's gotta tell them. How many people performed? So there
- 7:33Speaker 4: were 10 entries.
- 7:34Speaker 6: 10, okay.
- 7:35Speaker 2: And it's like teachers, kids.
- 7:36Speaker 4: Yeah, there were teachers, parents, kids. There were a lot
- 7:39Speaker 4: of people from like the local church that were there.
- 7:41Speaker 6: Okay.
- 7:41Speaker 4: It was a really sweet event.
- 7:42Speaker 2: Full community event.
- 7:44Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 7:44Speaker 5: What did they perform?
- 7:46Speaker 4: Okay, so some people performed Rocky Top. This dad got
- 7:49Speaker 4: up there.
- 7:51Speaker 6: Oh, a dad?
- 7:51Speaker 4: Yeah, I gave him, so everybody got an award and
- 7:54Speaker 4: we got to come up with the awards. I gave
- 7:55Speaker 4: him Dad of the Year Award because he got up
- 7:57Speaker 4: there with his three daughters and was like dancing around
- 7:59Speaker 4: singing Rocky Top.
- 8:01Speaker 2: That's adorable.
- 8:02Speaker 4: It's so sweet.
- 8:03Speaker 2: Why do I want to cry hearing that? That's so cute.
- 8:06Speaker 4: I know. What were some of my other favorite ones? Oh,
- 8:09Speaker 4: No Scrubs. These three, like probably freshmen and high school girls,
- 8:13Speaker 4: they looked like they were on the dance scene when
- 8:15Speaker 4: they performed No Scrubs. I was like, choreography.
- 8:17Speaker 2: I love that they know No Scrubs.
- 8:20Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 8:21Speaker 2: High school students know No Scrubs?
- 8:23Speaker 5: That's a classic rock for them. That's an old one.
- 8:26Speaker 3: Well, Kevin, hurt my ego and how I feel right now.
- 8:30Speaker 6: Yay. Who won, though? What won?
- 8:33Speaker 4: Okay, so the winner, it was a group of, like,
- 8:35Speaker 4: nine women. Nine adults.
- 8:37Speaker 3: Yes.
- 8:38Speaker 4: They all got up on stage. They were, like, moms
- 8:40Speaker 4: of the other kids that were, like, competing. And so
- 8:43Speaker 4: they got up all dressed up in old lady wigs.
- 8:46Speaker 2: And, like, nightgowns.
- 8:47Speaker 4: They had walkers. They had canes.
- 8:48Speaker 5: They had everything.
- 8:49Speaker 4: They had little purses with candy in there. Like, Werther's
- 8:52Speaker 4: Original and Butterscotch Candies.
- 8:53Speaker 5: That's very grandma.
- 8:54Speaker 2: Were they passing the candies out?
- 8:56Speaker 4: They were passing the candies out. They came over to
- 8:58Speaker 4: the judges' table and, like, gave us candy.
- 9:00Speaker 3: What did they perform if they were dressed as grannies?
- 9:02Speaker 4: Then they performed Thank You for Being a Friend from
- 9:04Speaker 4: Golden Girls.
- 9:06Speaker 5: Oh, that's perfect.
- 9:07Speaker 2: Thank you for being a friend.
- 9:09Speaker 4: It was so good. Travel down.
- 9:12Speaker 5: And so you mentioned a second ago, you mentioned bribes.
- 9:14Speaker 1: Who bribed who here?
- 9:16Speaker 5: What happened?
- 9:16Speaker 4: These old ladies bribed us all with candy.
- 9:18Speaker 2: With candy.
- 9:19Speaker 5: Oh, that was the bribe. A Werther's Original was the bribe. Bro,
- 9:23Speaker 5: it was so good.
- 9:24Speaker 4: I haven't had one in so long.
- 9:25Speaker 3: I was going to say, please do not start talking
- 9:27Speaker 3: crap about a Werther's Original, okay? Because even though every
- 9:31Speaker 3: granny keeps it in their purse, that hits. When a
- 9:34Speaker 3: granny hands you a Werther's, I don't know if it's
- 9:37Speaker 3: that the granny's given it to you or that it's
- 9:39Speaker 3: the Werther's, but it tastes phenomenal.
- 9:41Speaker 4: It's also the respect. The fact that she gave it
- 9:44Speaker 4: to you means she likes you.
- 9:45Speaker 6: Right.
- 9:45Speaker 2: Okay, maybe that's what it is. That's what makes it
- 9:47Speaker 2: taste so good.
- 9:48Speaker 5: It's a sign of respect in their culture.
- 9:50Speaker 4: Yeah, in their culture. They won the entire competition because
- 9:54Speaker 4: they literally came out, they came to the judges' table first,
- 9:56Speaker 4: gave us all candy, and then when the lyrics say, like,
- 10:00Speaker 4: I'm going to throw a party or something, they all, like,
- 10:02Speaker 4: spat out confetti everywhere, all.
- 10:04Speaker 5: Over the audience.
- 10:05Speaker 6: Wait, hold on.
- 10:05Speaker 5: They spat it? They spit confetti at people? Whatever they did.
- 10:09Speaker 4: They threw it. Okay. They threw confetti all over the audience.
- 10:13Speaker 3: That was a Zach special rolling right there.
- 10:15Speaker 5: You're welcome. Sounds awesome, dude. It was fun. Yeah, way
- 10:18Speaker 5: to go, Golden Girls. Congratulations.
- 10:20Speaker 7: Good job.
- 10:21Speaker 4: Also, fun fact, if I'm ever judging anything, perform Golden
- 10:24Speaker 4: Girls and you're more likely to win.
- 10:25Speaker 2: That's true.
- 10:26Speaker 5: Yeah, he loves that show and that song.
- 10:28Speaker 2: Three things you need to know.
- 10:30Speaker 1: Just past 7 o'clock here on this Monday morning. Thank
- 10:33Speaker 1: you for starting your week with us. Ricky's got those
- 10:34Speaker 1: three things presented by Mark Spain Real Estate.
- 10:37Speaker 3: Pro dancer Val Shubkovsky has been suspended from Dancing with
- 10:41Speaker 3: the Stars for a social media comment that went too far.
- 10:45Speaker 3: During the Super Bowl night on Dancing with the Stars,
- 10:47Speaker 3: Judge Carrie Ann Inaba had critiqued the samba routine by
- 10:50Speaker 3: Harry Shum Jr.
- 10:51Speaker 2: And Jenna Johnson, who is Val's wife.
- 10:55Speaker 3: It was a harsh critique, and it led to a
- 10:57Speaker 3: social media post by Val saying, quote, you almost saw
- 11:00Speaker 3: the Fresh Prince enter the ballroom last night, seemingly referencing
- 11:05Speaker 3: Will Smith's famous slap at the Oscars.
- 11:08Speaker 2: Not a great look.
- 11:09Speaker 3: The show took action and has suspended Val in the
- 11:12Speaker 3: first known suspension of a professional dancer in the show's history.
- 11:15Speaker 3: He has since apologized, but he will miss tomorrow night's
- 11:19Speaker 3: Dedication Night episode and his celebrity partner Jenna Dewan, We'll
- 11:22Speaker 3: dance with Alan Bernstein instead. There is no word on
- 11:26Speaker 3: when he's going to be back just yet. We don't
- 11:28Speaker 3: know how long the suspension is for sure, but we
- 11:30Speaker 3: just know he's not going to be a part of
- 11:32Speaker 3: tomorrow night's show. Nashville is getting a baseball and softball
- 11:37Speaker 3: social club in 2028. Batter Up Social is an open-air
- 11:40Speaker 3: batting experience combining pitching technology with food, drinks, music, and nightlife.
- 11:44Speaker 3: So think like Topgolf, but for baseball and softball.
- 11:48Speaker 2: That's kind of the vibe here.
- 11:49Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 11:49Speaker 3: The plans include ballpark-inspired restaurants, rooftop beer gardens, sports bar
- 11:55Speaker 3: and lounge, a training center, pitching and fielding bays, an arcade.
- 11:59Speaker 2: A private event space. It's going to be massive based
- 12:02Speaker 2: off of what the plans are including.
- 12:04Speaker 3: They also want to do home run derbies and tournaments
- 12:07Speaker 3: and leagues so people can get involved in those as well.
- 12:10Speaker 3: It's not coming until 2028, so we will keep you
- 12:12Speaker 3: updated on when they actually announce when they will open
- 12:15Speaker 3: and everything like that.
- 12:16Speaker 2: But it sounds pretty cool.
- 12:18Speaker 3: And haunted houses apparently don't freak people.
- 12:21Speaker 2: Out like you think they would. And I'm talking real
- 12:24Speaker 2: haunted houses here.
- 12:25Speaker 3: A survey found that 70% of people would have no
- 12:27Speaker 3: problem buying a home where someone has passed. And 25%
- 12:31Speaker 3: say that they would buy a house that they knew
- 12:33Speaker 3: was haunted and they wouldn't care about it, which is
- 12:37Speaker 3: kind of shocking. 28% say they would buy a home
- 12:40Speaker 3: that the neighbors were afraid of.
- 12:43Speaker 1: Wild that's crazy that's such a high number i.
- 12:46Speaker 2: Was not extracting it myself.
- 12:48Speaker 3: I'm ricky sanchez and those are the three things you
- 12:50Speaker 3: need to.
- 12:50Speaker 1: Know thank you ricky uh let's learn shall we on
- 12:53Speaker 1: this monday morning right after olivia dean we are going
- 12:55Speaker 1: to expand our brains with zack's facts next class is
- 13:00Speaker 1: in session.
- 13:01Speaker 6: Zack's facts brought to you by mark spain.
- 13:04Speaker 1: Real estate on 107.5 the river did you guys know
- 13:07Speaker 1: that bears are not the only animals that hibernate.
- 13:10Speaker 2: Okay, who else does?
- 13:12Speaker 4: Snails can also hibernate for up to three years.
- 13:15Speaker 5: What?
- 13:16Speaker 4: Isn't that crazy? So they hibernate during cold months and
- 13:20Speaker 4: during hot or dry months to survive harsh or dry weather.
- 13:23Speaker 4: So there was one in Egypt that actually hibernated for
- 13:27Speaker 4: three years.
- 13:28Speaker 2: Do you know where they hibernate? Do they have caves
- 13:30Speaker 2: like bears do?
- 13:31Speaker 4: They just hibernate into their shell. Oh, wherever they are?
- 13:34Speaker 2: Wherever they are.
- 13:35Speaker 4: They retreat back into their shell and they hibernate.
- 13:38Speaker 5: He missed so much.
- 13:40Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 13:40Speaker 4: Well, sometimes it might be for the best. I would
- 13:42Speaker 4: like to hibernate through a lot of things.
- 13:45Speaker 2: Yeah, I want a shell.
- 13:47Speaker 5: There's your fact of the day. Thanks, Zach.
- 13:49Speaker 6: Ricky, Zach, and Mano in the morning.
- 13:51Speaker 5: We need, we want your spooky stories.
- 13:55Speaker 1: It's spooky season.
- 13:58Speaker 6: 615-737-9107.
- 13:59Speaker 1: If you've never heard her talk about it, Ricky grew
- 14:01Speaker 1: up in a haunted house.
- 14:03Speaker 2: Yes, I did.
- 14:03Speaker 4: Allegedly.
- 14:04Speaker 2: Good ghost, though.
- 14:05Speaker 1: Like she had ghosts in her home with her. She
- 14:08Speaker 1: has stories. We'll hear those if you've never heard them.
- 14:10Speaker 1: They're honestly crazy. I didn't believe her at first, but
- 14:13Speaker 1: I do now. But if you have ever had a
- 14:15Speaker 1: brush with the other side in any way, shape or form,
- 14:18Speaker 1: we would love to hear about it.
- 14:19Speaker 6: 615-737-9107.
- 14:19Speaker 5: Plus, Ricky, will you share some of your ghost stories
- 14:22Speaker 5: with us?
- 14:26Speaker 2: Absolutely. I'm going to see if we can get my
- 14:28Speaker 2: mom on the line, too.
- 14:29Speaker 6: Oh, yeah.
- 14:29Speaker 2: Since Zach doesn't seem to believe me.
- 14:31Speaker 5: I need to know for real.
- 14:33Speaker 1: And here's the thing. Here's why that's cool. Ricky's mom
- 14:35Speaker 1: has been dead for 20 years.
- 14:38Speaker 4: No, she is not.
- 14:39Speaker 6: Ricky, Zach, and Mano in the morning.
- 14:42Speaker 2: On 107.5 The River.
- 14:43Speaker 3: We're really getting into spooky season here on 107.5 The
- 14:46Speaker 3: River because we're talking haunted spooky stories. Easton in Nolensville,
- 14:53Speaker 3: share with us your spooky story.
- 14:56Speaker 4: Well, when I always at my grandfather's house, I always
- 14:58Speaker 4: try to go and scare him.
- 15:00Speaker 3: So when I walked in the door, I didn't see him.
- 15:02Speaker 7: In his chair.
- 15:03Speaker 4: I thought he was like cooking something.
- 15:06Speaker 3: But when I kept walking in.
- 15:07Speaker 7: He was behind me.
- 15:09Speaker 2: He was behind you?
- 15:11Speaker 3: Did he completely freak you out? Yeah, he was just
- 15:14Speaker 3: standing there and I looked behind me and I jumped
- 15:16Speaker 3: and I ran.
- 15:17Speaker 1: Okay, but he's like alive and stuff, right? Like this
- 15:20Speaker 1: wasn't like a spirit or anything.
- 15:22Speaker 7: Well, his eyes were closed, and then he was just, like,
- 15:25Speaker 7: looking at me.
- 15:25Speaker 3: And I just, like, got scared, and I ran.
- 15:28Speaker 6: Okay.
- 15:28Speaker 4: All right.
- 15:28Speaker 2: Could this be a case of possession, maybe?
- 15:31Speaker 6: Sure.
- 15:32Speaker 4: Maybe he got tired of you trying to scare him
- 15:34Speaker 4: all the time, and he was like, let's flip it,
- 15:36Speaker 4: and I'm going to scare him when.
- 15:37Speaker 5: He comes in.
- 15:39Speaker 2: Easton, thank you for calling this morning. We appreciate you.
- 15:42Speaker 3: You're welcome.
- 15:43Speaker 2: Bye.
- 15:43Speaker 4: Bye, friend.
- 15:45Speaker 1: I mean, good story. We appreciate you, Easton, very much.
- 15:47Speaker 1: But I want, like, ghost stories, not like my grandpa
- 15:50Speaker 1: ghost stories. looked scary when his eyes were closed.
- 15:53Speaker 6: Kevin!
- 15:53Speaker 5: But Ricky, you grew up with ghosts.
- 15:56Speaker 2: Yeah, my house is haunted.
- 15:57Speaker 5: My mom's house. Tell us some of the things that
- 15:59Speaker 5: you witnessed.
- 16:00Speaker 2: Yeah, so we always would hear.
- 16:03Speaker 3: like chairs moving, dishes moving in the kitchen and the
- 16:07Speaker 3: dining room, which is not far from obviously the hallway
- 16:10Speaker 3: down to.
- 16:11Speaker 2: Where my bedroom is and my brother's bedroom is.
- 16:14Speaker 3: So we could hear them moving around. And when I
- 16:16Speaker 3: was younger, I remember being like, mom, what is that?
- 16:19Speaker 3: Like the house is haunted. And she flat out was like, yeah,
- 16:22Speaker 3: it is.
- 16:22Speaker 4: Wow.
- 16:23Speaker 5: They're good ghosts. Nobody was in there.
- 16:24Speaker 1: Nobody was in the kitchen and things were literally moving.
- 16:27Speaker 2: Yeah, happens all the time.
- 16:28Speaker 3: You just like and it's not just things moving like
- 16:31Speaker 3: you hear specific things moving like it hears like you
- 16:34Speaker 3: hear clanging of like glasses and things like that. And
- 16:37Speaker 3: my mom would always say, yeah, they're having a dinner party.
- 16:39Speaker 4: That's actually kind of cute, like a cute.
- 16:41Speaker 5: Way to think about it.
- 16:42Speaker 2: Yeah, that's what it would sound like.
- 16:44Speaker 3: It would sound like people cheersing their glasses and moving
- 16:47Speaker 3: their plates onto the table and moving the seats.
- 16:50Speaker 2: They were all having dinner together kind of thing.
- 16:52Speaker 5: Interesting.
- 16:53Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 16:53Speaker 3: The only time that they really freaked me out and
- 16:56Speaker 3: we had to have a conversation, the ghost and I,
- 16:58Speaker 3: was one time I was going to bed.
- 17:01Speaker 2: I was sleeping with my blanket over me, obviously.
- 17:04Speaker 3: And they tried to pull the blanket off of me
- 17:06Speaker 3: like slowly. But I mean, I just said, hey, we're
- 17:09Speaker 3: not doing that. And they listened to me and they
- 17:11Speaker 3: were fine. Normally they didn't come into my bedroom. Like
- 17:13Speaker 3: they typically stayed in the living room, dining room, kitchen area.
- 17:16Speaker 3: And I never had to really deal with them in
- 17:18Speaker 3: my bedroom. There's only like two times. that I can
- 17:21Speaker 3: think of that they were in my bedroom.
- 17:22Speaker 4: I would have never slept in that bed ever again.
- 17:24Speaker 4: It would have freaked me out so bad.
- 17:26Speaker 2: Once I said, stop, we're not doing this. We're not
- 17:28Speaker 2: playing this game. They stopped. They're fine.
- 17:31Speaker 5: They're good folks.
- 17:33Speaker 6: Yikes. 615-737-9107.
- 17:34Speaker 5: If you've ever had, we're being serious here.
- 17:36Speaker 1: If you've ever had like a brush with the other
- 17:38Speaker 1: side in any way, we would love to hear about it.
- 17:41Speaker 5: I am scared of Ricky.
- 17:43Speaker 6: Ricky, Zach, and Mano in the morning.
- 17:46Speaker 4: On 107.5 The River.
- 17:48Speaker 6: 107.5 The River.
- 17:49Speaker 1: Ricky shared some ghost stories a moment ago. The house
- 17:51Speaker 1: she grew up in was haunted. And now we actually
- 17:54Speaker 1: have your mom on the line.
- 17:56Speaker 2: Mom, Zach, and Kevin are both here. Love you guys.
- 17:59Speaker 6: Hi, hi, hi. Good morning. Love you guys.
- 18:02Speaker 4: Love you more.
- 18:02Speaker 6: Love you.
- 18:03Speaker 2: So they don't believe me though, Mom.
- 18:06Speaker 3: You're saying you love them, but they don't believe me
- 18:07Speaker 3: that the house is haunted.
- 18:08Speaker 2: Like that there are ghosts.
- 18:09Speaker 6: Oh, absolutely.
- 18:10Speaker 7: Well, see, I don't think of it as haunted. They
- 18:13Speaker 7: just live here.
- 18:14Speaker 4: See?
- 18:15Speaker 6: Still.
- 18:15Speaker 5: So you're still in this house. You're still in the
- 18:17Speaker 5: house that Ricky grew up in that was haunted.
- 18:20Speaker 6: Yeah, it's not haunted.
- 18:20Speaker 4: They just live here.
- 18:21Speaker 5: It's haunted.
- 18:22Speaker 4: Do you have names for them?
- 18:24Speaker 2: We never named them.
- 18:25Speaker 1: No, no, no.
- 18:26Speaker 7: They have parties in the attic. You know what it
- 18:29Speaker 7: sounds like? An old-fashioned movie with a little dining kind
- 18:33Speaker 7: of thing going on, a little weekend party with the
- 18:37Speaker 7: neighbors kind of thing.
- 18:38Speaker 2: I literally said.
- 18:39Speaker 3: You always said they were having dinner parties in the
- 18:41Speaker 3: kitchen and the living room and that that's all they
- 18:43Speaker 3: were doing.
- 18:44Speaker 7: Well, sometimes it sounds like it's coming from upstairs also.
- 18:48Speaker 4: How often would you say this happens?
- 18:50Speaker 6: I don't know.
- 18:50Speaker 3: I think they've taken a little.
- 18:52Speaker 7: Break, but it happens.
- 18:55Speaker 6: I've heard it.
- 18:57Speaker 7: Probably 20 times.
- 18:58Speaker 3: Oh okay yeah like guys yeah i'm so happy that
- 19:01Speaker 3: you were able to like talk to them today because
- 19:04Speaker 3: every time they're like yeah we don't believe you kevin
- 19:07Speaker 3: started to believe me because i've told him the stories
- 19:09Speaker 3: and he's like i don't know why she would make
- 19:11Speaker 3: that up but zach is like this is there's no way.
- 19:13Speaker 4: I had to hear it from the source.
- 19:15Speaker 7: That's playful and then they're playful because sometimes like i'll
- 19:18Speaker 7: feel a tug on my my.
- 19:19Speaker 2: Top well You know, like on my shoulder.
- 19:22Speaker 7: And then on my, like on my pant, like at the.
- 19:24Speaker 1: Bottom, the ankle.
- 19:25Speaker 2: They're trying to undress you. Oh, no, no, no.
- 19:29Speaker 3: They're saying hi.
- 19:30Speaker 7: They're being playful.
- 19:31Speaker 6: See?
- 19:31Speaker 3: They're saying, don't be afraid.
- 19:32Speaker 4: We're here.
- 19:33Speaker 5: They took Ricky's blankets off of her while she was sleeping.
- 19:35Speaker 5: They're tugging on your shirt. I don't know about these ghosts.
- 19:38Speaker 2: They're just hanging out. Like it's, they think it's so weird. Yeah,
- 19:41Speaker 2: they're just hanging out.
- 19:42Speaker 3: Oh, it's completely normal.
- 19:44Speaker 7: And there's a man who walks around town.
- 19:46Speaker 6: Oh, yeah.
- 19:46Speaker 2: That's a whole nother thing.
- 19:47Speaker 1: And I've seen him up the hill.
- 19:48Speaker 2: That's a whole nother conversation.
- 19:49Speaker 6: He wears... Yeah.
- 19:51Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 19:52Speaker 7: He's got a top hat, a black trench coat. And
- 19:54Speaker 7: he's from the 19... Or maybe 1920s or something like that.
- 19:59Speaker 7: Even before that.
- 20:00Speaker 2: And there's other people that have seen him.
- 20:02Speaker 7: And they think that he lives in the restaurant that's
- 20:04Speaker 7: right on the water.
- 20:05Speaker 6: I love this.
- 20:07Speaker 3: I think you're crazy right now, and I love it.
- 20:09Speaker 2: But wait, Mom, I'm going to tell them the story,
- 20:11Speaker 2: but we got to.
- 20:12Speaker 6: Go, and I love you so much. Okay, love you guys. Bye, Donna.
- 20:15Speaker 2: Bye, guys.
- 20:17Speaker 7: Have a great day.
- 20:18Speaker 1: Bye.
- 20:19Speaker 4: Bye.
- 20:19Speaker 1: I don't know if I believe it more or if
- 20:22Speaker 1: I just think that a crazy person came from a
- 20:24Speaker 1: crazy person.
- 20:25Speaker 5: Yeah, I'm going with Kevin on this one.
- 20:28Speaker 2: I'll tell you more about that another time. My God.
- 20:30Speaker 1: Well, thank you, Donna, for joining us. We should do
- 20:33Speaker 1: this again before Halloween. I know a lot of our
- 20:35Speaker 1: phones were going crazy while we were talking to Donna.
- 20:37Speaker 2: And I'll tell you that other story, too.
- 20:40Speaker 4: Okay.
- 20:41Speaker 5: Here's Bruno Mars.
- 20:42Speaker 1: Oh, hey, I haven't even mentioned this, but we're going
- 20:43Speaker 1: to play possibly the dumbest game of all time this
- 20:46Speaker 1: week for the game of the day. We're playing next.
- 20:48Speaker 6: Great ricky zach and mano in the morning.
- 20:52Speaker 3: I don't know what's about to happen here but we
- 20:55Speaker 3: have tickets to the preds versus the avalanche october 25th
- 20:58Speaker 3: at bridgestone arena for kevin mano's game of the day
- 21:01Speaker 3: on 107.5 the river presented by genesis diamonds kevin has
- 21:05Speaker 3: given us no details except for the fact that it's
- 21:07Speaker 3: a really ridiculous game which is not very different.
- 21:10Speaker 2: From a normal average.
- 21:11Speaker 1: Week sometimes they're kind of normal sometimes they're insane this
- 21:14Speaker 1: one is definitely in the insane category you ready Yeah.
- 21:17Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 21:18Speaker 1: We're going to play all week long for these tickets.
- 21:20Speaker 5: For what? Preds Ticks or Breadsticks?
- 21:26Speaker 2: What do you mean?
- 21:27Speaker 5: Preds Ticks or Breadsticks? But how does this work? You
- 21:31Speaker 5: call 615-737-9107.
- 21:31Speaker 1: Got to get two out of three right. I give
- 21:35Speaker 1: you a little sentence, a scenario, and you have to
- 21:37Speaker 1: fill in the blank.
- 21:38Speaker 5: Is it Preds Ticks or Breadsticks?
- 21:41Speaker 6: How?
- 21:42Speaker 2: That doesn't make sense.
- 21:43Speaker 6: What do you mean?
- 21:43Speaker 5: Give me an example. Okay, this is your example, okay?
- 21:46Speaker 1: Mmm, it smells so good in your kitchen.
- 21:49Speaker 6: Thanks.
- 21:50Speaker 5: It's because I have blank in the oven.
- 21:52Speaker 2: Oh, my God, Kevin.
- 21:54Speaker 4: No, Zach.
- 21:55Speaker 3: You're baking up a good time with those breadsticks.
- 22:03Speaker 6: 615-737-9107.
- 22:03Speaker 5: We're playing next.
- 22:04Speaker 6: Let's go. 107.5, The River.
- 22:06Speaker 2: We are playing.
- 22:07Speaker 3: Breadsticks or breadsticks on.
- 22:11Speaker 4: 107.5, The River.
- 22:11Speaker 3: For Kevin Mano's game of the day, we have tickets
- 22:14Speaker 3: to see the Preds at Bridgestone Arena on the 25th.
- 22:17Speaker 3: And Kevin thought, I have a great idea. breadsticks rhymes
- 22:21Speaker 3: with breadsticks so.
- 22:22Speaker 1: Here's the game i think it's genius we've got jen
- 22:26Speaker 1: and franklin on the line hi jen my god good
- 22:29Speaker 1: morning good morning how was your weekend it was great
- 22:33Speaker 1: give us a highlight oh my gosh.
- 22:35Speaker 7: What did we do this weekend um we went to
- 22:38Speaker 7: miller's thrillers i don't know if you're familiar with that.
- 22:41Speaker 4: One of my favorite places you can play uh paintball zombie.
- 22:44Speaker 7: Yes, we did that. We did all the things.
- 22:47Speaker 6: Fine.
- 22:47Speaker 5: That's awesome.
- 22:48Speaker 1: And now here you are playing another great game, Pred
- 22:51Speaker 1: Sticks or Bread Sticks. If you didn't hear how it works,
- 22:55Speaker 1: I'm going to give you a scenario, a little sentence
- 22:57Speaker 1: with a blank. You have to fill in the blank.
- 23:00Speaker 1: Is it Pred Sticks or Bread Sticks, okay?
- 23:03Speaker 6: Okay.
- 23:04Speaker 1: You got to get two out of three of these
- 23:06Speaker 1: right to win tickets to see the Predators on the 25th.
- 23:09Speaker 6: Here we go.
- 23:09Speaker 5: Jen, your game starts right now.
- 23:10Speaker 3: Okay.
- 23:13Speaker 5: Scenario number one.
- 23:15Speaker 1: They wouldn't let me into Bridgestone Arena for the game
- 23:18Speaker 1: because I showed up with blank.
- 23:22Speaker 4: Breadsticks.
- 23:23Speaker 5: That's right.
- 23:23Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 23:24Speaker 5: Can't show up with breadsticks. You need to show up
- 23:26Speaker 5: with breadsticks.
- 23:26Speaker 2: This is so stupid.
- 23:27Speaker 6: Okay.
- 23:31Speaker 7: I was actually, like, stressing that this is going to
- 23:33Speaker 7: be really hard.
- 23:34Speaker 6: No, Jen.
- 23:35Speaker 3: This is the most ridiculous. Actually, not the most ridiculous.
- 23:38Speaker 3: And that's saying something. But it's pretty ridiculous.
- 23:40Speaker 6: All right.
- 23:40Speaker 5: Here we go. You get this right, you win. Scenario
- 23:42Speaker 5: number two. Whoa, whoa, whoa. Don't fill up on blank.
- 23:47Speaker 5: You don't want to spoil your dinner.
- 23:50Speaker 7: Breadsticks again.
- 23:52Speaker 4: It's breadsticks again!
- 23:53Speaker 2: You win!
- 23:53Speaker 5: Congratulations!
- 23:56Speaker 4: There would be a problem if you filled up on breadsticks.
- 23:59Speaker 5: Yeah, that would hurt your belly.
- 24:00Speaker 6: I don't know, people have weird eating things.
- 24:04Speaker 5: My strange addiction, sure.
- 24:06Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 24:06Speaker 2: Congratulations.
- 24:08Speaker 3: You won tickets to see the Preds. I mean, like,
- 24:11Speaker 3: I'm happy how easy it was, but I also want
- 24:13Speaker 3: to slam my head into the.
- 24:14Speaker 6: Wall right now.
- 24:15Speaker 4: If you could see Ricky's face right now, she sat
- 24:17Speaker 4: there the entire time with her hands on her forehead,
- 24:19Speaker 4: just like praying to get done with this.
- 24:21Speaker 3: Jen, I've lost all control of this show. I don't
- 24:23Speaker 3: know what's happening anymore.
- 24:25Speaker 2: Everything's a mess.
- 24:26Speaker 1: Congratulations. You're going to have a great time at the game.
- 24:29Speaker 1: Thank you for playing Pred Sticks or Bread Sticks.
- 24:32Speaker 6: Thank you.
- 24:33Speaker 2: Hang on the line.
- 24:36Speaker 1: I also think if anybody does lose this game this week,
- 24:39Speaker 1: consolation prize, I will personally send you breadsticks from Olive Garden.
- 24:43Speaker 6: Kevin?
- 24:43Speaker 1: You're walking away with either breadsticks or breadsticks.
- 24:46Speaker 4: I feel like that was a really bad thing to
- 24:48Speaker 4: say because now people are going to purposely lose the
- 24:50Speaker 4: game so that you have to send them breadsticks.
- 24:52Speaker 5: No.
- 24:52Speaker 1: Nobody would rather have breadsticks than breadsticks.
- 24:54Speaker 3: If you lose this game, don't ever play a game
- 24:56Speaker 3: with us ever again.
- 24:57Speaker 6: How's that?
- 24:59Speaker 2: Three things you need to know so let's go.
- 25:01Speaker 1: Just after eight o'clock appreciate you being here ricky sanchez
- 25:05Speaker 1: has your three things presented by mark spain real estate
- 25:07Speaker 1: what is happening ricky harry.
- 25:09Speaker 3: Styles debuted a new song for liam payne and he's
- 25:12Speaker 3: making a documentary so harry is currently doing a residency
- 25:15Speaker 3: at madison square garden a record-breaking 30 show residency by
- 25:20Speaker 3: the way um and during friday's show he explained to
- 25:23Speaker 3: the crowd that he had written a song called what
- 25:24Speaker 3: is enough Two years ago for his bandmate and friend
- 25:27Speaker 3: Liam Payne after he had passed away. He then performed
- 25:31Speaker 3: it for everyone. And we assume it's going to be
- 25:34Speaker 3: released somewhat soon so that everybody else can hear it.
- 25:37Speaker 2: But I'll keep you updated on that.
- 25:39Speaker 3: It also looks like he's filming these shows for a
- 25:41Speaker 3: concert documentary, which is expected to combine the concert footage
- 25:44Speaker 3: with behind the scenes stories about Harry, his fans.
- 25:47Speaker 2: The people that are working on the tour.
- 25:49Speaker 3: And there is a potential theatrical release that is under consideration.
- 25:54Speaker 3: So this may be something that you can actually go
- 25:56Speaker 3: to the movie theater to see, much like the Heiress
- 25:58Speaker 3: Tour did their run in the.
- 25:59Speaker 2: Movie theater as well. So I will keep you updated
- 26:02Speaker 2: on that and when you can expect to watch it.
- 26:04Speaker 3: The Wags and Walks benefit concert is happening tomorrow night.
- 26:08Speaker 3: Bailey Zimmerman is headlining the concert. It's happening at Sky Deck.
- 26:14Speaker 3: We love Sky Deck on Broadway. It's such a nice venue.
- 26:17Speaker 3: This is their third year doing it, and it's all
- 26:18Speaker 3: to help the animals who need homes and need medical
- 26:21Speaker 3: attention because they also.
- 26:23Speaker 2: Do take care of them medically as well.
- 26:24Speaker 3: So it's not just rehoming, but every dog that needs
- 26:27Speaker 3: the medical care that they so much deserve get medical
- 26:30Speaker 3: care through Wags and Walks as well. So you can
- 26:32Speaker 3: grab your tickets at wagsandwalks.org to check that out tomorrow night.
- 26:37Speaker 2: And it looks like the future of EA Sports College
- 26:40Speaker 2: football is not looking so bright.
- 26:42Speaker 3: A new report says that the EA College sports football
- 26:45Speaker 3: video game, their franchise could face cancellation because things are
- 26:49Speaker 3: just so expensive when it comes to production and licensing costs.
- 26:53Speaker 2: They're giving it another five years, and that's about it.
- 26:55Speaker 3: The game made a comeback in 2024 after a decade-long hiatus.
- 26:59Speaker 3: Everybody was really excited about that. But the franchise has
- 27:02Speaker 3: seen games just gradually go down. The sales are going
- 27:05Speaker 3: down year after year. And it's going up in payments
- 27:08Speaker 3: for players' names, image, likeness rights, including schools and.
- 27:12Speaker 2: Bowl games, things like that.
- 27:15Speaker 3: Don't know how much longer we have, but they're looking
- 27:16Speaker 3: like next five years is going to be it for them.
- 27:19Speaker 3: I'm Ricky Sanchez, and those are the three things.
- 27:21Speaker 2: You need to know.
- 27:22Speaker 6: Ricky, Zach, and Mano in the morning.
- 27:23Speaker 4: If friends are.
- 27:24Speaker 1: Visiting, is it rude for them to ask if they
- 27:27Speaker 1: can stay with you?
- 27:28Speaker 5: I think it's rude to.
- 27:31Speaker 1: Not ask them to stay with you, to assume that
- 27:34Speaker 1: they would.
- 27:35Speaker 5: Stay anywhere else.
- 27:36Speaker 3: Okay, so there's a girl who's gone viral on social
- 27:38Speaker 3: media because she basically said that She hates it when
- 27:43Speaker 3: her friends ask to stay with her, which obviously got
- 27:46Speaker 3: a lot of reactions of most people going, what? And
- 27:50Speaker 3: most people disagreeing with her. But some people shockingly did
- 27:53Speaker 3: agree with her. And they thought that it was rude
- 27:56Speaker 3: to ask to stay. I think it makes total sense.
- 27:59Speaker 3: I have people visit me all the time and we
- 28:00Speaker 3: have a one bedroom, 700.
- 28:01Speaker 2: Square foot apartment.
- 28:03Speaker 3: It's tiny, but we have a blow up queen mattress
- 28:06Speaker 3: that we put in the living room for anybody that
- 28:07Speaker 3: wants to stay with us.
- 28:08Speaker 2: Like, it doesn't matter to me. I don't care. I'd
- 28:10Speaker 2: rather you stay with us and save some money. It's
- 28:12Speaker 2: expensive to travel nowadays, number one.
- 28:14Speaker 3: Number two, more times than not, they're coming to see you.
- 28:18Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 28:19Speaker 2: Like, that's the reason that they're coming to see you.
- 28:21Speaker 5: That was my question, yeah.
- 28:21Speaker 2: And I'd rather, even if you're.
- 28:23Speaker 3: Not coming to see me, that you save the money
- 28:25Speaker 3: by staying with me.
- 28:26Speaker 4: I will say, 95% of the time that I travel,
- 28:29Speaker 4: I plan places that I know that I have friends
- 28:31Speaker 4: that I can stay with for free. That's what you mean, sheep. Like,
- 28:36Speaker 4: if I'm going somewhere that I know that I have
- 28:38Speaker 4: friends that live there, like, I will reach out to
- 28:40Speaker 4: them before I book a flight. Yeah.
- 28:43Speaker 2: You're so funny.
- 28:44Speaker 5: Just couch surfing across America.
- 28:45Speaker 2: You're so funny.
- 28:47Speaker 1: If they're just in town, like on business or something,
- 28:50Speaker 1: I could sort of understand where she's coming from.
- 28:53Speaker 5: You know what I mean?
- 28:54Speaker 1: Like if you're not coming specifically for me, like if
- 28:56Speaker 1: you're not doing a trip out to see me, I
- 28:58Speaker 1: could kind of get it. I'm not saying I would
- 29:01Speaker 1: do that. My door is open to any friend that
- 29:03Speaker 1: wants to stay.
- 29:03Speaker 5: Please stay.
- 29:04Speaker 6: But if... I don't know.
- 29:07Speaker 1: If they're coming to see you, that's crazy to me
- 29:10Speaker 1: that you wouldn't open your doors to them.
- 29:12Speaker 3: I love when they're coming for another reason, and the
- 29:14Speaker 3: secondary reason is to see me.
- 29:16Speaker 2: Yeah, because then.
- 29:17Speaker 4: You don't have to entertain them.
- 29:18Speaker 2: Yes, they have their own things planned.
- 29:20Speaker 3: The few days that they have whatever planned, a conference
- 29:23Speaker 3: or something like that, I don't have to worry about
- 29:25Speaker 3: working and then being like, all right, you got to
- 29:26Speaker 3: go meet them and take them to Broadway at 2 p.m.
- 29:28Speaker 2: On a Tuesday. Like, you know what I mean? Like, that's...
- 29:31Speaker 2: great for me because then I.
- 29:33Speaker 3: Get the few days of actually being with them but
- 29:36Speaker 3: they also you know.
- 29:36Speaker 4: Do their own thing I will say the only way
- 29:38Speaker 4: that I understand it being rude is like, especially if
- 29:40Speaker 4: you know their living situation, like if they live in
- 29:42Speaker 4: a studio apartment or like a tiny living space, yeah,
- 29:45Speaker 4: I would see it rude to be like, hey, can
- 29:47Speaker 4: I come stay with you? I have no room for
- 29:50Speaker 4: me to live. What do you think?
- 29:51Speaker 2: Oh, I always offer. I was like, stay with us.
- 29:53Speaker 2: Save some money.
- 29:54Speaker 3: We have a blow-up mattress and it's a comfy one.
- 29:56Speaker 3: We got the nice blow-up mattress. I slept on that
- 29:58Speaker 3: thing for six months when I lived in LA.
- 30:00Speaker 5: It doesn't deflate in the middle of the night like mine?
- 30:02Speaker 6: No.
- 30:03Speaker 4: Oh, I hate mine.
- 30:04Speaker 6: It's so good.
- 30:04Speaker 2: I spent like $ 160 on it. Like, it's expensive.
- 30:07Speaker 4: It's worth it.
- 30:08Speaker 2: But it's worth it. Like I said, I've had it
- 30:10Speaker 2: for years.
- 30:11Speaker 3: When I lived in LA, I didn't have a bed
- 30:12Speaker 3: because I was broke.
- 30:13Speaker 2: I slept on that thing for six months.
- 30:15Speaker 4: It was great.
- 30:16Speaker 1: We're all shockingly sort of agreeing about this, but if you'd.
- 30:19Speaker 5: Like to defend the other side, 615-737-9107.
- 30:23Speaker 1: If you also don't like when friends ask if they
- 30:26Speaker 1: can stay with you, we would love to hear from you.
- 30:28Speaker 6: Ricky, Zach, and Mano in the morning.
- 30:31Speaker 3: Is it rude for friends to ask to stay with
- 30:34Speaker 3: you if they are visiting the area that you're in?
- 30:36Speaker 3: It's 107.5 The River. We got Dawn on the line.
- 30:39Speaker 3: What do you think about this?
- 30:41Speaker 1: I would ask them.
- 30:43Speaker 4: I would feel bad if I didn't ask them and
- 30:45Speaker 4: they were coming to town.
- 30:47Speaker 3: Especially if they call me and say, hey, I'm coming
- 30:49Speaker 3: to town.
- 30:50Speaker 1: So you would then say, do you want to come
- 30:52Speaker 1: stay with me? Yes, you would offer up a bed
- 30:54Speaker 1: to them if they're in town.
- 30:56Speaker 3: If they never call me and I didn't know about it,
- 30:59Speaker 3: that's one thing.
- 31:00Speaker 5: But if they actually call me up and say, hey,
- 31:02Speaker 5: I'm coming to town, I'd immediately say yes.
- 31:05Speaker 2: That makes sense to me.
- 31:07Speaker 3: It just feels like a normal friend move to make
- 31:10Speaker 3: to just say, stay with me.
- 31:12Speaker 4: I'm your friend. I'm here for you.
- 31:13Speaker 2: And I want to spend.
- 31:14Speaker 6: Time with you.
- 31:15Speaker 4: I almost feel like I would be a little bit
- 31:16Speaker 4: offended if like you told me that you were coming
- 31:19Speaker 4: to town and you didn't ask to stay with me.
- 31:21Speaker 6: Oh, yeah.
- 31:23Speaker 3: I would feel awful if I didn't offer.
- 31:25Speaker 2: Okay, so you totally agree with us, Dawn. That makes sense.
- 31:28Speaker 2: We love to hear it.
- 31:29Speaker 6: Thanks, Dawn. Thanks.
- 31:30Speaker 4: Love you guys.
- 31:31Speaker 2: We love you.
- 31:33Speaker 6: Bye. Bye.
- 31:34Speaker 1: It's shocking to me that so many people in this
- 31:37Speaker 1: online debate agreed with the woman.
- 31:40Speaker 5: That doesn't do it.
- 31:41Speaker 3: They were worried about the time and effort, I guess,
- 31:44Speaker 3: it would take to have somebody stay with you. Which
- 31:47Speaker 3: seems weird to me. I know we're all exhausted. I
- 31:49Speaker 3: think it's kind of the shift that's happening in society because.
- 31:52Speaker 2: We're all tired.
- 31:53Speaker 3: We all don't want to do extra things if we
- 31:54Speaker 3: don't need to because it's just exhausting existing right now.
- 31:59Speaker 3: So I kind of get it to a degree, but
- 32:00Speaker 3: this should be something that fills your cup and makes
- 32:02Speaker 3: you more excited about spending time with friends.
- 32:05Speaker 4: Possibly charging the person that comes to stay that's crazy your.
- 32:08Speaker 5: Electric bill is going to be more expensive.
- 32:10Speaker 4: Your water bill is going to be more expensive the
- 32:12Speaker 4: groceries are expensive now you have to pay for them
- 32:15Speaker 4: to stay with you that's insane.
- 32:16Speaker 1: Ricky i do think it's exhausting existing should be like
- 32:19Speaker 1: a shirt or something i think you coined something really
- 32:21Speaker 1: good right there it is um but also i feel
- 32:25Speaker 1: like this just uh proves how important your friends are
- 32:27Speaker 1: to you like you know if it's a let's say
- 32:30Speaker 1: on a scale of one to ten a ten friendship
- 32:32Speaker 1: of course they can stay with me but if a four.
- 32:34Speaker 5: Friend asks if they can stay with us when they're
- 32:35Speaker 5: in town I don't know.
- 32:37Speaker 3: We've let just about everybody stay with us honestly like
- 32:40Speaker 3: AJ and I are just like sure come on I've
- 32:43Speaker 3: met so many of his friends from college and stuff
- 32:45Speaker 3: that I had never met before because they were coming
- 32:47Speaker 3: through town he's like you care if they stay and
- 32:49Speaker 3: I'm like no whatever.
- 32:50Speaker 1: Any acquaintance anybody he's ever met pretty much everybody's welcome 107.5
- 32:55Speaker 1: The River. We're going to try something new over here.
- 32:59Speaker 1: It's 107.5 The River. Ricky, Zach, and Mano in the morning.
- 33:02Speaker 5: Normally, we're doing the Daily.
- 33:02Speaker 1: Double Tap right now, but let's say, just to try
- 33:05Speaker 1: it out this week, we're going to do the word
- 33:08Speaker 1: of the day. The Ricky, Zach, and Mano in the morning.
- 33:11Speaker 1: Word of the day. Ricky, do you want to explain
- 33:14Speaker 1: how this is.
- 33:14Speaker 5: Going to work?
- 33:15Speaker 3: Yeah, that was such a dramatic entrance right there.
- 33:18Speaker 2: I kind of liked it.
- 33:18Speaker 1: I just wasn't expecting it.
- 33:20Speaker 3: So the word of the day is inspired by our
- 33:22Speaker 3: very own Zach Woodward. Zach likes to make up words.
- 33:25Speaker 3: He likes to pretend he knows what words mean. Sometimes
- 33:28Speaker 3: he's very open and honest about the fact he has
- 33:30Speaker 3: no idea what a word means. We are no strangers
- 33:33Speaker 3: to that ourselves, though, Kevin and I. So what we're
- 33:35Speaker 3: going to do is pick a word. Each day, one
- 33:39Speaker 3: of us is going to pick a word. Today, it's
- 33:40Speaker 3: my word. I'm going to say the word. Both of
- 33:43Speaker 3: you need to guess what it means.
- 33:45Speaker 6: Okay.
- 33:46Speaker 1: I feel like I have a good grasp of the
- 33:48Speaker 1: English language. I feel like I'm going to be good
- 33:50Speaker 1: at this at knowing what the words mean.
- 33:51Speaker 2: Famous last words.
- 33:54Speaker 3: So what I can do, if you guys don't get
- 33:56Speaker 3: it right away, I.
- 33:57Speaker 2: Do have a sentence and I have synonyms. So I
- 34:00Speaker 2: can give you hints if necessary.
- 34:02Speaker 4: This is like a spelling bee, but a dictionary bee.
- 34:04Speaker 6: Yes.
- 34:05Speaker 3: So whoever buzzes in with their name first gets to guess.
- 34:07Speaker 6: You ready?
- 34:08Speaker 2: The word of the day... Is subterfuge.
- 34:13Speaker 1: Oh, I've heard subterfuge before. Nobody's looking anything up. Zach's
- 34:16Speaker 1: not Googling, right?
- 34:17Speaker 4: No, my eyes are closed.
- 34:18Speaker 2: He's closing his eyes because he's really thinking hard.
- 34:20Speaker 6: Subterfuge.
- 34:20Speaker 2: Subterfuge is the word.
- 34:22Speaker 6: Oh, boy.
- 34:23Speaker 5: All right. Do you want to use it in a sentence?
- 34:26Speaker 5: Do either of you have a.
- 34:27Speaker 2: Oh, okay.
- 34:27Speaker 6: Oh, no, no.
- 34:28Speaker 5: Okay.
- 34:29Speaker 1: Yeah, go ahead.
- 34:29Speaker 4: Use it in a sentence.
- 34:31Speaker 3: They obtained the documents by subterfuge.
- 34:36Speaker 5: They stole them. They, like, hacked in and stole them.
- 34:39Speaker 6: Wrong. Wrong.
- 34:42Speaker 4: I don't know why in my mind I'm thinking that
- 34:44Speaker 4: it feels like subterfuge is like you're like interjecting into
- 34:49Speaker 4: like a situation. Wrong.
- 34:54Speaker 2: Oh, OK.
- 34:55Speaker 3: Synonyms are going to give it away. I'm just going
- 34:57Speaker 3: to tell you what it is because you guys have
- 34:58Speaker 3: no idea. It refers to the use of tricks to hide,
- 35:01Speaker 3: avoid or get something. Synonyms are trickery, deception, treachery.
- 35:06Speaker 5: I mean, I said they hacked in and stole them.
- 35:08Speaker 5: That's kind of along the same lines, right?
- 35:10Speaker 2: No, it's not.
- 35:11Speaker 6: No.
- 35:12Speaker 2: No, hacked in and stole.
- 35:13Speaker 6: Nope. Nope.
- 35:15Speaker 3: Trickery, deception, and treachery are not stolen.
- 35:18Speaker 5: Subterfuge. Okay, can you use another sentence?
- 35:22Speaker 2: I only have one sentence here again.
- 35:24Speaker 4: Kevin subterfuged us when he told us that he was
- 35:28Speaker 4: the most handsome man in America.
- 35:29Speaker 7: Subterfuged us.
- 35:34Speaker 5: That does sound like something I would say.
- 35:36Speaker 4: You're right.
- 35:36Speaker 2: All right.
- 35:37Speaker 5: We'll do it again tomorrow. Be here if you want
- 35:39Speaker 5: another word of the day tomorrow. We're going to try
- 35:41Speaker 5: it again. Good one, Ricky. Subterfuge. Thank you for teaching
- 35:44Speaker 5: us all something new.
- 35:45Speaker 2: You're welcome.
- 35:46Speaker 3: I love that you said you thought you were going
- 35:47Speaker 3: to know what it was.
- 35:48Speaker 4: And you didn't.
- 35:49Speaker 5: I did not.
- 35:49Speaker 4: You subterfuged us.
- 35:52Speaker 1: I don't think any of these sentences are right, Zach.
- 35:54Speaker 5: I don't think so either.
- 35:56Speaker 6: Ricky, Zach, and Mano in the morning.
