- Lucas: Hey, bienvenidos back to Learn Spanish with Fexingo. I'm Lucas. Luna: And I'm Luna. Episode 95 already! Can you believe it? Lucas: I know. And last time we were at the zoo. Today we're going somewhere you might go with kids — a playground. Luna: Oh, a playground. That's fun. I remember going to the park in episode 84, but this is different. Lucas: Right. At the playground you have specific things. Like el columpio. Luna: El columpio. What's that? Lucas: A swing. You know, you sit and go back and forth. Luna: Ah, a swing. Los niños juegan en el columpio. Lucas: Exactly. Los niños juegan en el columpio. The children play on the swing. Let's hear you say that. Luna: Los niños juegan en el columpio. Lucas: Perfect. Now another one — el tobogán. Luna: El tobogán. That sounds like a slide. Lucas: Yes, it's the slide. And you can say Me gusta el tobogán. Luna: Me gusta el tobogán. I like the slide. That's easy. Lucas: And one more — el arenero. Luna: El arenero. Is that the sandbox? Lucas: Exactly. The sandbox. And we say El arenero tiene arena. Luna: Arena is sand. So El arenero tiene arena. The sandbox has sand. Lucas: Right. So let's review. First word? Luna: El columpio. Lucas: Second? Luna: El tobogán. Lucas: And third? Luna: El arenero. Lucas: Great. Now let's put them in a little scene. Imagine we're at a playground. Luna: Okay. Lucas: You see a swing. What do you say? Luna: Los niños juegan en el columpio. Lucas: Then you see a slide. What do you say? Luna: Me gusta el tobogán. Lucas: And the sandbox? Luna: El arenero tiene arena. Lucas: You got it. Now, you know, if Fexingo has been helping you make actual progress with Spanish, we'd love it if you considered supporting the show. We deliberately don't run ads. Lucas: So imagine you're at a playground with a friend. You point to each thing. El columpio, el tobogán, el arenero. Luna: El columpio, el tobogán, el arenero. I love how they sound. Lucas: Let's do one more round. I'll say the English, you say the Spanish. Luna: Okay. Lucas: Swing. Luna: El columpio. Lucas: Slide. Luna: El tobogán. Lucas: Sandbox. Luna: El arenero. Lucas: Perfecto. And that's our episode for today. Keep practicing these words, and next time you're at a playground, try using them. Luna: Yes. Practice makes progress. See you next time. Lucas: Adiós.
