Doug Band Set to Face House Oversight on Epstein Ties (6/30/26) · The Vault: The Epstein Files

0:00
Speaker 1: What's up, everyone, and welcome to another episode of the
0:02
Epstein Chronicles. As a Senate Oversight Committee continues their investigation,
0:09
they've now turned their sites to Doug Band. And Doug
0:13
Band is somebody that was considered probably the biggest insider
0:19
during the glory days of the Clintons and he was
0:23
directly involved when the Clintons were close with Epstein and Maxwell.
0:29
And Doug Band has come out and said already that
0:31
Bill Clinton was on the island. So Bill Clinton says
0:35
he was never on the island, Doug Band says he was.
0:39
I wonder if Doug Band's going to say that under oath,
0:43
and if he does, I wonder if that's going to
0:45
cause a problem for Bill Clinton considering that Billy Boy
0:50
told us he was never on that island. But we
0:52
already know that Virginia said he was, and so did
0:55
mister Scully. So that's three witnesses now saying that he
0:58
was on the island. How does that make him guilty
1:00
of any kind of abuse or anything like that. No,
1:04
but it does prove that he's a liar. And I
1:06
think that Doug Band is going to be happy to
1:08
throw him under the bus, because remember they had that
1:11
big falling out where Doug Band came out and attacked
1:15
Chelsea Clinton and her lifestyle and the way she conducts
1:18
herself and also attacked his former boss and buddy, Bill Clinton.
1:24
So now Congress is going to speak to him and
1:27
try and find out what he knows, if anything, about
1:30
Bill Clinton's time with Jeffrey Epstein and Glenn Maxwell. So
1:35
today we have an article from Fox News and the
1:37
headline Clinton confidant who called Maxwell's lover grilled by Congress
1:42
over Epstein ties. This article was authored by Adam Pack.
1:47
Former Clinton A Doug Band is set to face a
1:50
grilling by congressional investigators after his name was referenced dozens
1:54
of times in the Epstein files. And look, he's come
1:57
out and said already that Bill Clinton is lying. Now
2:01
I wonder if he's gonna have the stones to do
2:04
the same thing and say the same thing under oath
2:08
ban will testify voluntarily another voluntary fucking testimony, because that's
2:14
worked out so well before the House Committee on Tuesday,
2:18
and a transcribed interview as part of the bipartisans panel
2:20
probe into the late convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein and
2:24
his accomplice Glenn Maxwell, who's serving a twenty year sentence
2:28
after being convicted on federal sex trafficking and conspiracy charges. Well,
2:33
if you want to call it that, playing with dogs,
2:36
eating Chick fil A, doing whatever she wants, I guess
2:39
that's a twenty year bid. Certainly not the same kind
2:42
of twenty year bid you'd be facing or your friends
2:45
would be facing. But if you're Glenn Maxwell, then you
2:49
diddled little kids. You know, the sky's the limit. I guess.
2:54
House Oversight Committee chairman James Comer invited Ben to testify
2:58
about his interactions with Epstein and Maxwell while serving as
3:02
a top eight to Clinton during the early years of
3:04
his post presidency, and he was considered the key to
3:08
the kingdom. If you wanted to get close to Clinton,
3:11
you had to go through Doug Band. He was basically
3:15
Bill Clinton's body slave, right, you know, the guy that
3:20
would attend Bill Clinton all day every day, like in
3:23
the old days, had like a Roman emperor, and you
3:26
had somebody that took care of, you know, cleaning him up,
3:29
washing his face, whatever it might be. Basically Doug Band's job.
3:33
Whatever Bill Clinton needed, whatever Bill Clinton wanted, it was
3:36
Doug Band's job to make that happen, and of course
3:39
that brought him into communication and friendship with Glenn Maxwell
3:43
and Jeffrey Epstein. Band attended a two thousand and three
3:46
dinner at Epstein's Manhattan townhouse and corresponded with Maxwell between
3:50
two thousand and two and two thousand and six, according
3:53
to files release by the Justice Department, and Doug Band
3:57
did say that he was friendly with them as far
4:00
as Maxwell and Epstein go, but I've never really heard
4:04
that they had some kind of romantic entanglement. Not that
4:07
it really matters in the grand scheme, but it does
4:10
prove that Gallayne Maxwell was a skuffooza. How many people
4:14
have we talked about in this story that she's hooked
4:18
up with. I mean, this lady's seen more wiener than
4:21
a pair of Hanes. In a two thousand and six email, Band,
4:24
who is a University of Florida alumnus, asked to use
4:27
Maxwell's playing to attend the NCAA men's basketball final to
4:31
watch the Florida Gators play. In other correspondence published by
4:35
the DJ, he called Maxwell as lover and social matchmaker,
4:39
among other flirtatious messages. Isn't that cute Doug Band and
4:45
his good old girlfriend Gallaine Maxwell. The pair were photographed
4:51
together at a Valentine's Day tea party at a members
4:53
only club in New York City in two thousand and seven.
4:58
That tracks, that's exact factly when Glenn Maxwell and the
5:01
Clintons were real close. And it's wild to me that
5:04
there's people out there that actually think that the Clinton's
5:06
coming to testify put it all to bed. Do you
5:09
really think they were telling the truth, because they weren't.
5:14
They lied, just like every other person who's been called
5:17
to testify and provable lies. We're talking the kind of
5:22
lies that should be called out by the committee, but
5:26
of course they have no desire in doing that. Bend
5:31
has not been charged with any wrongdoing, and his interactions
5:34
with the couple appeared to largely predate Epstein's conviction of
5:37
soliciting a minor in two thousand and eight. Yeah, because
5:40
you know that wasn't happening until then. Nobody had any
5:44
idea what was happening, right, Well, that's what they'll all
5:48
tell you. Whether you believe them or not, Well, that's
5:51
a completely different story. The ex Clinton advisor is likely
5:56
to be peppered with questions about the former president's ties
5:59
to the disgraced financier. Band, who initially served as Clinton's
6:04
personal aid and ultimately became a member of his inner circle,
6:08
helped establish the Clinton Foundation and the Clinton Global Initiative
6:12
during Clinton's post presidency. He later cut ties with the
6:15
Clintons during a public falling out in the early twenty
6:19
tens and a remember, Jeffrey Epstein provided a grip of
6:23
seed money for the Clinton Initiative, and that was confirmed
6:30
by jeral Lefcourt, one of the lawyers for Jeffrey Epstein.
6:34
So that's not just scuttle, but that's not a rumor
6:37
that happened. In a twenty twenty tell All interview with
6:41
Vanity Fair, Band said that he grew to dislike Epstein
6:44
during a two thousand and two trip aboard Epstein's private
6:47
jet with Clinton to Africa, and advised the former president
6:51
and his relationship with him. Also in the interview, Band
6:55
said that Clinton in two thousand and three traveled to
6:58
Epstein's private Caribbean island Little Saint James. Band said he
7:02
declined to attend over his objections to Epstein. Band's account
7:07
conflicts with Clinton's repeated assertion that he never visited the island. Clinton,
7:12
who has denied any wrongdoing, has pointed to travel logs
7:16
that do not show such a trip. The travelogs could
7:19
be manipulated. We all know that those travel logs weren't canon,
7:24
they're not biblical. They can be changed, and they were,
7:30
and sometimes the logs weren't even filled out. So we
7:33
have Doug Band, we have mister Scully, and we have
7:36
Virginia Roberts telling us that Bill Clinton was on that island.
7:42
So who do you believe. Do you believe the three
7:44
witnesses or do you believe Bill Clinton? Band told Vanity
7:52
Fairy he sought to bar Maxwell from Clinton related events
7:54
amid his broader rupture with the Clinton family. Maxwell was
7:58
notably close to Chelsea Clinton and was invited to her
8:01
wedding in twenty ten. Still unexplained, that was just, you know,
8:06
a big goof up. We have no reason why Gilene
8:09
Maxwell was there in a place of prominence. We don't
8:13
recall she was there in a place of prominence because
8:17
she was very close to you. That's why she was there.
8:20
And now you're trying to gaslight everybody and act like
8:22
it never happened, like you guys weren't close, like there
8:26
was never a relationship whatsoever. The House Oversight interview will
8:30
take place behind closed doors, but a transcript is expected
8:33
to be published at a later date. Tuesday's testimony comes
8:37
after Bill and Hillary Clinton testified to congressional investigators in
8:41
March about their interactions with Epstein under the threat of
8:45
civil contemned charges. Lawmakers threatened to criminally refer the couple
8:49
to the Justice Department for contemn charges if they refused.
8:53
A bipartisan group of lawmakers is also interviewed former Attorney
8:57
General Pam Bondy, Secretary of Commerce Howard Lutnick, and Microsoft
9:02
co founder Bill Gates as part of the committee's probe.
9:05
Comer's panel in July is expected to interview former Goldman
9:09
Sachs attorney and Obama council Katherine Rumler, Harvard law professor
9:14
Alan Dershowitz, and former JP Morgan Chase executive and ex
9:19
Barclay CEO Jess Staley. Jess Staley should be up here first.
9:25
If anybody has information about what Epstein was doing financially,
9:29
it's certainly just day and I think that that's going
9:34
to be a very very interesting interview. Now. Of course
9:37
it's not going to go far enough. It's not going
9:40
to be the kind of colonoscopy that it needs to be.
9:44
But at least we're going to get them on record, right,
9:47
at least we're gonna get them in the transcript telling
9:51
obvious lies, because you know that's coming. And I'm very
9:56
interested to see how aggressive the questions are, because if
9:59
you're to aggressively question anyone, I think that Jess Staley
10:03
is a perfect candidate. All three knew Epstein personally and
10:07
were among his high profile figures whose names appear in
10:10
recently released Epstein related files, though none of them have
10:14
been charged with wrongdoing. And look, I'm not saying that
10:18
any of them did anything wrong. Besides Jess Staley, we
10:23
know for a fact that he's admitted already to having
10:26
relations with one of Epstein's assistants. So which one was it?
10:31
Was it? Leslie Groff? Doubt it was it. Adriana Ross,
10:36
doubt it could be, but doubt it was it. Sarah
10:40
Kellen Vickers. Are we getting warmer? Here? Was it? Nadia Marsenkova?
10:45
Are we getting warmer? I think we are. And if
10:49
Jess Staley had relations with them, and they were trafficked.
10:53
That could be a pretty big problem for Jess Staley.
10:56
I know, breaking news, right, So I'm really curious to
10:58
see which way Congress goes, if they're going to softball
11:01
it or if they're going to come with that high
11:04
stinking cheddar. And that's what they should be doing, throwing
11:09
the pitches high and tight brush these people back from
11:12
the plate and let them know that this is not
11:15
a game and that if they don't come correct and
11:19
tell the truth, there's gonna be penalties. Now, I would
11:22
love to tell you that that's the way the committee
11:24
is going, but it's not. And so far they've proven
11:29
themselves to be toothless, no accountability. What two people refer
11:35
to the Justice Department, that's it. After everything we've heard,
11:39
those are the only two people. Now, I will say this,
11:44
our reserve complete judgment until we come to the end
11:47
of the committee and their investigation, and we'll see if
11:50
they have anybody getting referred to DOJ for a prosecution.
11:54
So we'll see what Doug Band has to say today,
11:56
and once we get the transcripts, like usual, we'll get
11:59
those added to the catalog as well. Until then, though,
12:03
that's going to do it for this one. All the
12:05
information that goes with this episode can be found in
12:08
the description box.
