- 0:13Speaker 1: Hello, you guys. Welcome back to another episode of the
- 0:16Speaker 1: Hawkgirl Energy Podcast. I'm your host, Kaylee, and this is
- 0:19Speaker 1: your weekly reminder that it's a new day, a new week,
- 0:22Speaker 1: a new mindset, and another day for you to become
- 0:25Speaker 1: the Hawkgirl Energy you want to attract. Hello, you guys.
- 0:28Speaker 1: There's been some craziness going on this week with the house.
- 0:32Speaker 1: We have so much progress happening in our kitchen. For
- 0:37Speaker 1: those who don't know, I'm actually not currently at my house.
- 0:40Speaker 1: I'm living at my parents' house still. Zach and I
- 0:42Speaker 1: decided to not rush the move-in process just because we
- 0:47Speaker 1: have no appliances fully installed yet due to the kitchen
- 0:50Speaker 1: being kind of under construction. And so it just didn't
- 0:54Speaker 1: make sense for us to fully move into the new
- 0:56Speaker 1: house when we can't even cook any dinners in our
- 0:59Speaker 1: own kitchen. So we both kind of mutually decided that
- 1:02Speaker 1: we'll just wait the extra two weeks while they're doing
- 1:05Speaker 1: the kitchen hood fan and getting kind of like everything situated.
- 1:08Speaker 1: Like I don't even have a faucet hooked up in
- 1:11Speaker 1: my sink. Like that's how like under construction everything is.
- 1:14Speaker 1: And that's because we chose to do that. We essentially
- 1:19Speaker 1: wanted like finishes that were kind of more of an
- 1:22Speaker 1: upgrade with the builder, but we thought obviously it'd be
- 1:25Speaker 1: more kind of like affordable to like do it ourselves
- 1:27Speaker 1: and go through different contractors for the work that we
- 1:31Speaker 1: wanted done. So Honestly, just a preference. And like, I
- 1:34Speaker 1: feel like when you're investing so much in a home,
- 1:36Speaker 1: you want things done right. And if you can obviously
- 1:39Speaker 1: save money by like doing things yourself and, you know,
- 1:42Speaker 1: it be a little longer, it's kind of worth it.
- 1:44Speaker 1: So that's kind of the situation. I'm living at my
- 1:47Speaker 1: parents' place. I'm like literally recording in their guest bedroom,
- 1:50Speaker 1: which I've been staying in for literally the past three weeks.
- 1:53Speaker 1: So two more weeks, we should officially be in our house,
- 1:56Speaker 1: hopefully by the beginning of October. And I feel like
- 2:00Speaker 1: this is hard because September is like my favorite month
- 2:03Speaker 1: to like record content because fall is my favorite season.
- 2:07Speaker 1: As you guys know, in today's episodes, all going to
- 2:08Speaker 1: be about rebranding for fall, talking about getting into the
- 2:12Speaker 1: fall mood. And like, I feel like I'm a little
- 2:15Speaker 1: late on this because I feel like everybody talks about
- 2:17Speaker 1: fall September 1st, but We're going to pretend that it's
- 2:21Speaker 1: not September 16th or 17th, whenever this episode's up, it's
- 2:25Speaker 1: actually September 1st. And we're going to pretend that our
- 2:27Speaker 1: excitement around fall is just started. So anyways, I do
- 2:31Speaker 1: kind of feel like it's still summer though. I feel
- 2:33Speaker 1: like at least here, it's still pretty warm out. I
- 2:35Speaker 1: feel like fall technically doesn't really start in terms of
- 2:38Speaker 1: weather wise until October. So, you know, we're not late.
- 2:42Speaker 1: I'll actually be decorating just on time. That's one thing
- 2:45Speaker 1: that's actually made me so sad is not being able
- 2:47Speaker 1: to decorate for fall until I'm officially moved in. So
- 2:50Speaker 1: that's been kind of hard because I see all my
- 2:52Speaker 1: fall decor in my basement at my house and I'm like,
- 2:54Speaker 1: I just want to decorate this entire house even though
- 2:57Speaker 1: there's nothing to even decorate because we're not really fully
- 3:00Speaker 1: moved in and a lot of our furniture is either
- 3:04Speaker 1: sold or we have a lot of stuff being delivered
- 3:06Speaker 1: to the house for some new furniture pieces. So all
- 3:09Speaker 1: in all, It's been hard to like not feel like
- 3:12Speaker 1: I'm in the fall mode because I feel like I
- 3:15Speaker 1: haven't decorated. I haven't done, you know, my typical fall
- 3:18Speaker 1: routine that I would at my old place, but that's okay.
- 3:22Speaker 1: Everything will be started a little later, but I really
- 3:25Speaker 1: wanted to chat about fall in this episode because as
- 3:28Speaker 1: I said, I'm getting very excited to be in the
- 3:31Speaker 1: fall season. Obviously there's a bit of a rebrand that
- 3:35Speaker 1: I feel like needs to happen every time we enter
- 3:37Speaker 1: a fall season because I almost feel like fall is
- 3:40Speaker 1: is like another opportunity of considering it your new year, right?
- 3:44Speaker 1: So of course, every time January comes around, I feel
- 3:47Speaker 1: like we're all so motivated. We're all so excited to
- 3:49Speaker 1: enter a new year. We have goals. We have intentions.
- 3:53Speaker 1: You know, we're feeling really, really motivated going into the
- 3:55Speaker 1: new year. Well, you could also see September in that
- 3:58Speaker 1: way of kind of rebranding, motivating yourself again, going back
- 4:02Speaker 1: to your vision board. Are there things that you still
- 4:05Speaker 1: haven't achieved that you wanted to achieve for yourself? It's
- 4:07Speaker 1: almost like the perfect opportunity to kind of like, okay,
- 4:11Speaker 1: I got four months until 2027. What do I still
- 4:13Speaker 1: need to achieve? How can I lock in and really
- 4:16Speaker 1: focus on those goals that I wanted to achieve for myself?
- 4:20Speaker 1: I'm looking at my vision board now, and I'm seeing
- 4:22Speaker 1: a lot of the things that I wanted for myself
- 4:25Speaker 1: that have actually came true. But there's also a lot
- 4:27Speaker 1: of things that I haven't completed that it's almost like
- 4:30Speaker 1: my little reminder of like, okay, we got to re-lock
- 4:33Speaker 1: in here. We need to get back into that motivational
- 4:36Speaker 1: phase that I was in in January and found ways
- 4:38Speaker 1: to actually achieve these things for myself. So we can
- 4:41Speaker 1: almost treat September as like a fresh start. It's almost
- 4:44Speaker 1: like our second new year, right? It's really just reminding
- 4:48Speaker 1: ourself that we still have four months to go. We
- 4:50Speaker 1: still have time to really lock in and achieve those
- 4:53Speaker 1: things that we want to achieve. Or there could be
- 4:55Speaker 1: brand new goals that have recently came into play that
- 4:58Speaker 1: you may have found out about in the summer or
- 5:01Speaker 1: again going into fall maybe you've been wanting to you
- 5:04Speaker 1: know go down a different career path and apply for
- 5:06Speaker 1: different jobs like it could literally be whatever or maybe
- 5:09Speaker 1: it's you're going back to school and you're wanting to
- 5:12Speaker 1: become a doctor like who freaking knows right like the
- 5:14Speaker 1: point is is that you know things change sometimes and
- 5:17Speaker 1: I feel like we're at that phase in the year
- 5:19Speaker 1: where it's like okay let's reset let's get back into
- 5:23Speaker 1: why we're doing these things for ourself and how we
- 5:25Speaker 1: can lock in again and feel motivated so Kind of
- 5:28Speaker 1: like the mindset shift, I feel like is like a
- 5:31Speaker 1: big thing when we're entering a fall season is really
- 5:34Speaker 1: trying to lock in again and feeling motivated again. But
- 5:36Speaker 1: another big one is rebranding your routine. Obviously, every time
- 5:40Speaker 1: you enter a new season, I feel like I talk
- 5:41Speaker 1: about this all the time on the podcast, but whether
- 5:43Speaker 1: it's winter, summer, or fall, I feel like I always
- 5:46Speaker 1: have to tailor my routine around a new season. Everything
- 5:49Speaker 1: always feels a little bit more different. Obviously, in the winter,
- 5:52Speaker 1: I'm not outside as much. I'm not walking outside. I
- 5:55Speaker 1: try and tailor a routine around the colder months of
- 5:59Speaker 1: using a treadmill, being inside a gym, finding ways to
- 6:02Speaker 1: keep myself active while I'm in the winter season. And
- 6:06Speaker 1: then for fall and summer, I'm more outdoors. I want
- 6:09Speaker 1: to be outside. I want to be walking as much
- 6:11Speaker 1: as possible. Everything's kind of tailored around the weather or
- 6:15Speaker 1: the season. And I try and add more cozy elements,
- 6:18Speaker 1: for an example, into the fall season by lighting more candles,
- 6:22Speaker 1: finding ways to add fall opportunities like fall decor, all that,
- 6:26Speaker 1: like we're going to chat about all that when it
- 6:27Speaker 1: comes to kind of like rebranding yourself for a new season.
- 6:30Speaker 1: But another thing to add on to the rebrand for
- 6:33Speaker 1: me personally is obviously being pregnant. Like that's definitely been
- 6:37Speaker 1: something that's been a huge adjustment to my routine because
- 6:40Speaker 1: I've definitely had to change a lot of things. For
- 6:42Speaker 1: an example, in my morning routine to obviously be able
- 6:46Speaker 1: to get through my day, since I'm pregnant. One thing
- 6:49Speaker 1: for an example is my workout schedule and my workout routine.
- 6:52Speaker 1: I feel like this is one thing that everyone always
- 6:54Speaker 1: tries to make a priority if you're into that healthier lifestyle.
- 6:58Speaker 1: And whether you're an evening girly or morning girly, like
- 7:01Speaker 1: this is the opportunity now to really like figure out, okay,
- 7:04Speaker 1: what do I need to focus on this fall? Do
- 7:06Speaker 1: I need to focus on building my morning routine or
- 7:08Speaker 1: building my evening routine? Do I like to work out
- 7:10Speaker 1: in the evening or do I like to work out
- 7:11Speaker 1: in the morning? So for me personally, I love to
- 7:14Speaker 1: work out in the morning. So I really, you know,
- 7:17Speaker 1: had to tailor my workout schedule around my pregnancy and
- 7:21Speaker 1: also around the fall season. And typically around this time
- 7:24Speaker 1: of the year, I love to do hot Pilates. Like
- 7:27Speaker 1: I really, really love heated classes because we're getting to
- 7:30Speaker 1: that point where it's, you know, getting colder in the mornings,
- 7:33Speaker 1: eventually in the winter, obviously it's like freezing cold. And
- 7:35Speaker 1: I feel like I just crave those heated classes during
- 7:39Speaker 1: the colder months because So this is usually the time
- 7:42Speaker 1: of year where I start to go back to heated
- 7:43Speaker 1: classes because I feel like in the summer I don't
- 7:45Speaker 1: really do that just because it's so hot outside that
- 7:47Speaker 1: I just don't crave those heated classes. But because I'm pregnant,
- 7:52Speaker 1: I'm not allowed to go to heated classes. Well, it's
- 7:54Speaker 1: not recommended. It's not like it's not allowed. It's just
- 7:56Speaker 1: not recommended. But obviously I'm doing whatever I can to
- 8:00Speaker 1: be safe throughout this pregnancy and obviously be safe for
- 8:03Speaker 1: the baby. So I am not doing it, but that's
- 8:05Speaker 1: definitely something that I miss is just being able to
- 8:08Speaker 1: do that. So instead I've been doing reformer Pilates two
- 8:12Speaker 1: to three times a week, and then I'll do a
- 8:14Speaker 1: strength workout class twice a week here at the house.
- 8:17Speaker 1: Cause I have a gym here at my parents' place,
- 8:20Speaker 1: but if I wasn't at my parents, I was at
- 8:21Speaker 1: my new place. Again, I have some dumbbells that I have. Um,
- 8:25Speaker 1: you can easily find Pilates equipment on Amazon. There's so
- 8:28Speaker 1: many great YouTube videos and platforms like form. I love form.
- 8:32Speaker 1: I've actually been doing private sessions with one of the trainers.
- 8:35Speaker 1: Her name's Kaylin and She's incredible. She focuses on prenatal
- 8:40Speaker 1: and postnatal workouts, which is all around pregnancy. So I
- 8:43Speaker 1: actually had my first session with her this week and
- 8:45Speaker 1: she was absolutely incredible. I literally loved the workout so much.
- 8:48Speaker 1: It was so freaking hard, but it felt really good
- 8:51Speaker 1: to like challenge myself and try different workouts out. And
- 8:55Speaker 1: she also just taught me so many things, um, in
- 8:57Speaker 1: terms of like engaging your core throughout pregnancy, all that.
- 9:00Speaker 1: So Those are the two things that I've kind of
- 9:02Speaker 1: done in my workout routine to cater to my pregnancy fall.
- 9:06Speaker 1: But if I wasn't pregnant, definitely hot Pilates is something
- 9:10Speaker 1: that I love to do during the colder season and
- 9:13Speaker 1: the fall season. And obviously, again, finding things that you
- 9:16Speaker 1: enjoy doing. I always stress the importance of doing workouts
- 9:20Speaker 1: that you love. If you're a Legree girl, that's amazing.
- 9:24Speaker 1: I personally haven't done it in a long time, so
- 9:26Speaker 1: I'm not going to add it into my routine with pregnancy.
- 9:28Speaker 1: So I've been trying to just do the classic Pilates,
- 9:31Speaker 1: which is what I've been doing, and I love it.
- 9:33Speaker 1: But again, trying different things out, trying new workouts are
- 9:37Speaker 1: always fun. Spinning. Love to do some cardio, getting on
- 9:40Speaker 1: that bike, a great way of getting a good sweat in.
- 9:43Speaker 1: Maybe it's running outside, still beautiful weather outside, taking advantage
- 9:46Speaker 1: of being outside. You guys obviously know that I'm a
- 9:49Speaker 1: big walker. So like being able to be outside and
- 9:51Speaker 1: go for walks is truly like my therapy. It's one
- 9:54Speaker 1: of my favorite things that I love to do during
- 9:56Speaker 1: the nice weather. So whether it's fall or summer, I
- 9:59Speaker 1: am outside walking. walking at least three times a day.
- 10:01Speaker 1: I try and walk at least 20 minutes in the morning,
- 10:04Speaker 1: around lunchtime, and then in the evening as well, whether
- 10:07Speaker 1: it's before dinner or after dinner. So those are like
- 10:10Speaker 1: non-negotiables for me that I always try and like rebrand
- 10:14Speaker 1: into my routine based off of what season it is.
- 10:17Speaker 1: And that kind of takes me into my next point,
- 10:19Speaker 1: which is morning rituals. So having rituals that you think
- 10:23Speaker 1: are a non-negotiable in your routine. So as I said,
- 10:26Speaker 1: for an example, walking has been a big one for me.
- 10:29Speaker 1: Another thing that I've been trying to include in my
- 10:31Speaker 1: routine is listening to audio books. So instead of sitting
- 10:34Speaker 1: down and physically reading for 20 minutes, if you're the
- 10:37Speaker 1: kind of person that likes to have a slow morning,
- 10:39Speaker 1: definitely recommend finding a cozy spot in your living room,
- 10:43Speaker 1: lighting a candle, reading your book, like incredible, love those vibes.
- 10:47Speaker 1: Or if you're like me that likes to be active
- 10:49Speaker 1: and wants to be able to read, but also get
- 10:52Speaker 1: some movement in, whether it's walking on a treadmill or
- 10:54Speaker 1: walking outside, I've been listening to a book through Audible
- 10:59Speaker 1: just on my iPhone and I'll walk for 20 minutes
- 11:01Speaker 1: and just listen to the book. The book I'm reading
- 11:03Speaker 1: right now has nothing to do with fall. I probably
- 11:06Speaker 1: would love to have a fall book, especially around this
- 11:09Speaker 1: time of the year, just finding something that kind of
- 11:11Speaker 1: cater towards the fall season. But right now I'm reading
- 11:13Speaker 1: something in regards to first-time moms. It's called, actually, let
- 11:17Speaker 1: me see what it's called. I'll see. It's called Moms
- 11:20Speaker 1: on Call. And it's basically just like about basic needs
- 11:23Speaker 1: for baby care. And it's essentially just like how to
- 11:27Speaker 1: raise a child from like zero to six months old.
- 11:29Speaker 1: So I'm just trying to educate myself since I'm a
- 11:31Speaker 1: first-time mom. And I feel like having an audio book
- 11:35Speaker 1: is like super beneficial to just, again, be able to
- 11:37Speaker 1: do two things at once. We've talked about habit stacking
- 11:40Speaker 1: here on the podcast. So being able to like get
- 11:43Speaker 1: some active movement in and then also be able to
- 11:45Speaker 1: listen slash read a book has been a game changer
- 11:48Speaker 1: and really something that I've enjoyed in my mornings. Other
- 11:51Speaker 1: rituals though that you could look forward to is obviously
- 11:54Speaker 1: making your morning coffee to change it up a little
- 11:56Speaker 1: bit to rebrand for the fall season. Think about making
- 12:00Speaker 1: a pumpkin drink or something that's very fall inspired. Maybe
- 12:03Speaker 1: it's chai or Maybe it's like something with apple in it.
- 12:06Speaker 1: Like who knows? I'm a big pumpkin girl, so I've
- 12:08Speaker 1: definitely taken advantage of going to Starbucks multiple times. I
- 12:12Speaker 1: am obsessed with the pumpkin cream cold foam. It's literally
- 12:15Speaker 1: my addiction. Right now specifically, I feel like that's all
- 12:19Speaker 1: I want lately in my pregnancy is that pumpkin cream
- 12:22Speaker 1: cold foam drink. I think it's just their cold brew.
- 12:24Speaker 1: But anyways, I'm obsessed with that drink. Starbucks around this
- 12:27Speaker 1: time of the year is actually my favorite spot to
- 12:29Speaker 1: go to. I'll be fully transparent, but Anyways, I love
- 12:32Speaker 1: their pumpkin cream cold brew. I've always tried to recreate
- 12:34Speaker 1: it at home and it never hits the same. I
- 12:37Speaker 1: could never make it as good as Starbucks. So anyways,
- 12:40Speaker 1: but that's definitely something I've been treating myself and doing
- 12:43Speaker 1: the odd time for my little morning ritual, but definitely
- 12:47Speaker 1: been making a coffee daily, whether it's a pumpkin coffee
- 12:50Speaker 1: or a regular iced coffee here at the house, walking
- 12:53Speaker 1: for 20 minutes, you know, making my bed as soon
- 12:56Speaker 1: as I wake up, getting you know some 20 minutes
- 12:58Speaker 1: of reading in while walking so I'm really just trying
- 13:01Speaker 1: to like adapt a new routine obviously me not living
- 13:04Speaker 1: at home has definitely been an adjustment living at my
- 13:07Speaker 1: parents place I've definitely had to like adjust my routine
- 13:10Speaker 1: a little bit I'd help my dad out a bit
- 13:11Speaker 1: since he had his surgery so just like a lot
- 13:14Speaker 1: of different things but it's been really nice to kind
- 13:16Speaker 1: of establish a routine here and then again in two
- 13:19Speaker 1: weeks once I move into my new place I'm sure
- 13:21Speaker 1: I'll have to establish another new routine so again always
- 13:25Speaker 1: just trying to find things that bring you some joy
- 13:28Speaker 1: and comfort and trying to like adjust your routine based
- 13:31Speaker 1: off of the season, your lifestyle, all that. Now, another
- 13:34Speaker 1: thing I've been trying to do this fall season is
- 13:36Speaker 1: I've been trying to wake up earlier and I'm not
- 13:39Speaker 1: going to lie all summer. I was sleeping in till
- 13:43Speaker 1: like seven 38, which for me is not really typical.
- 13:47Speaker 1: Like if you guys have been listening to the podcast
- 13:48Speaker 1: for a while, you guys know that I'm usually an
- 13:50Speaker 1: early riser. Like, and usually in the summertime I take
- 13:53Speaker 1: advantage of the 5am morning routine, but My pregnancy literally
- 13:57Speaker 1: makes me so tired. I could not wake up at
- 14:01Speaker 1: 5 a.m. at all. It just was obviously a very
- 14:03Speaker 1: different summer. And I feel like I wake up a
- 14:05Speaker 1: lot in the middle of the night since I've gotten
- 14:07Speaker 1: pregnant just to like go to the bathroom or sometimes
- 14:10Speaker 1: I'm like sleeping in a weird position. And anyways, I
- 14:13Speaker 1: feel like I wake up at least like twice in
- 14:16Speaker 1: the middle of the night. So lately I've been waking
- 14:18Speaker 1: up at 6.30. Some mornings it's been 7. But like
- 14:21Speaker 1: I really want to try and get back to like
- 14:22Speaker 1: that 6 a.m. morning, like that would be my ideal
- 14:26Speaker 1: wake up time. But yeah, 5am is just not realistic
- 14:29Speaker 1: just because I am waking up at least twice in
- 14:32Speaker 1: the middle of the night. And I actually really do
- 14:33Speaker 1: value my sleep right now. So again, with being in
- 14:36Speaker 1: this phase of my life, I've had to make adjustments.
- 14:38Speaker 1: But if I can wake up at least 30 minutes earlier,
- 14:41Speaker 1: that would definitely be a big goal for me, especially
- 14:43Speaker 1: going into the fall season. My evening routine is also
- 14:46Speaker 1: something that I really love to lean into, especially during
- 14:49Speaker 1: the fall season, because I love to light a candle.
- 14:52Speaker 1: I love to like create that like dim lighting ambiance.
- 14:56Speaker 1: I never really like a big overhead light. You know
- 14:59Speaker 1: what I mean? Like I hate when like all the
- 15:00Speaker 1: lights are on in the house, especially at night. I'm like,
- 15:03Speaker 1: this is too much for me. I don't know what
- 15:04Speaker 1: it is. All I could use is a little lamp
- 15:07Speaker 1: and I would love the vibes. Like that's all I
- 15:09Speaker 1: need to make me happy. So I feel like I
- 15:11Speaker 1: really take advantage of like the dim lighting around this
- 15:14Speaker 1: time of the year because I just feel like it
- 15:16Speaker 1: feels so much more cozier. Obviously like leaning into having
- 15:20Speaker 1: a hot tea at night, You know, you can even
- 15:22Speaker 1: like lean into the tees that are like more fall inspired, obviously.
- 15:27Speaker 1: Another big thing for me too is like getting some
- 15:30Speaker 1: cute fall PJs. I actually just recently bought a pair
- 15:34Speaker 1: and there's something about a cute fall PJ set or
- 15:37Speaker 1: just a cute PJ set in general. Like, I don't
- 15:39Speaker 1: know how to explain it, but I feel like buying
- 15:42Speaker 1: a new PJ set for a new season just makes
- 15:44Speaker 1: you feel so much more put together. I don't know
- 15:46Speaker 1: how to explain it, but I am obsessed with it.
- 15:48Speaker 1: I actually got it from Dairy Boy. Um, and yeah,
- 15:51Speaker 1: she's super cute. So it was really nice to like
- 15:54Speaker 1: get a cute little PJ set for the new season.
- 15:57Speaker 1: Another thing to focus on with your rebrand when it
- 15:59Speaker 1: comes to a new season is rebranding your space. So
- 16:03Speaker 1: what are things that you could do in your bedroom
- 16:05Speaker 1: or your home to really focus on that new season?
- 16:09Speaker 1: Obviously I kind of mentioned it in the beginning of
- 16:10Speaker 1: the podcast episode, but fall decor is a non-negotiable here. Okay.
- 16:15Speaker 1: Like it is a non-negotiable to like find ways to
- 16:18Speaker 1: add fall decor into my home or into my bedroom.
- 16:21Speaker 1: So finding little knickknacks from either like Target or HomeSense,
- 16:25Speaker 1: whatever you have near you, and like adding it to
- 16:28Speaker 1: your nightstand or adding it to your dresser or adding
- 16:31Speaker 1: it to your living room, like finding ways to kind
- 16:34Speaker 1: of like decorate your home or your space that make
- 16:37Speaker 1: it feel a little bit more like the fall season.
- 16:39Speaker 1: Could also be your bedding, right? You could go and
- 16:42Speaker 1: pick out new fall bedding. It could be brown. It
- 16:44Speaker 1: could be checkered. It could be gingham. Like this is
- 16:47Speaker 1: the time to really lean into the fall colors and
- 16:50Speaker 1: decorate your bedroom. So little things like that, I feel
- 16:53Speaker 1: like make a huge difference in your space and also
- 16:56Speaker 1: just makes you feel, again, really excited for a new season.
- 17:00Speaker 1: I don't know. I just love to really dial in
- 17:03Speaker 1: on the fall colors when it comes to decor, bedroom setup,
- 17:07Speaker 1: all that. which kind of brings me into my next point,
- 17:09Speaker 1: which is rebranding your style. Fall fashion is the best
- 17:15Speaker 1: fashion in my opinion. Do not tell me I'm wrong.
- 17:18Speaker 1: I am addicted to fall fashion. There is nothing I
- 17:21Speaker 1: look forward to more than fall fashion. I go on
- 17:24Speaker 1: Pinterest constantly and the amount of outfits that I find
- 17:28Speaker 1: that are like so aesthetic, so cute. I just feel
- 17:32Speaker 1: like it's so much more fun to style yourself in
- 17:35Speaker 1: the fall compared to any other season. Like Of course,
- 17:38Speaker 1: love my summer with the flip-flops and cute summer dresses.
- 17:42Speaker 1: Obviously love that aesthetic, but there's something about styling a
- 17:47Speaker 1: big chunky cardigan, a big flannel jacket, wearing high knee boots.
- 17:52Speaker 1: There's just so much more accessories and fun ways to
- 17:56Speaker 1: really channel in your fall fashion. I don't know. I'm
- 18:00Speaker 1: just addicted to fall fashion. I feel like rebranding your
- 18:03Speaker 1: style can be a really fun thing to lean into
- 18:06Speaker 1: specifically for the fall season. As I kind of said,
- 18:09Speaker 1: I always go on Pinterest to kind of find some
- 18:11Speaker 1: inspiration of what I feel like is trending for the year,
- 18:14Speaker 1: things that I really love that I want to purchase
- 18:17Speaker 1: for myself. A few of my favorite fall pieces that
- 18:19Speaker 1: I've been loving this year that I feel like is
- 18:21Speaker 1: really trending. One being long, chunky cardigans. So the ones
- 18:26Speaker 1: that are like down to the ankles, like super, super long,
- 18:30Speaker 1: like almost like a big blanket, essentially. I think those
- 18:32Speaker 1: are so cute. And again, very comfortable, really chic. I
- 18:37Speaker 1: feel like you could wear a cute tank top and
- 18:38Speaker 1: jeans and a pair of high boots and like your
- 18:41Speaker 1: outfit would look so put together. Also high knee boots.
- 18:44Speaker 1: I feel like that's always a really popular thing going
- 18:47Speaker 1: into fall. Another thing is like Western boots or just
- 18:51Speaker 1: like Western style in general. Fringe is a really big
- 18:54Speaker 1: thing right now. And again, as I said, like leaning
- 18:57Speaker 1: into like that cowboy aesthetic, like I love a good
- 18:59Speaker 1: cowboy boot. I actually got this cute pair of boots
- 19:02Speaker 1: from Zara that kind of look like a suede cowboy boot.
- 19:06Speaker 1: So not like an actual cowboy boot, but it just
- 19:08Speaker 1: kind of leans into like that Western look. And I
- 19:10Speaker 1: wear them all the time. It's like the perfect heel
- 19:13Speaker 1: height for like every day, especially if you just like
- 19:14Speaker 1: want to look a little bit more elevated when you're
- 19:16Speaker 1: going out for errands. Really, really love leaning into like
- 19:20Speaker 1: that Western fashion look. Another thing I've been loving is
- 19:25Speaker 1: anything with leather. So leather jackets, leather tops. I've also
- 19:29Speaker 1: been loving the color navy and chocolate brown. Those have
- 19:32Speaker 1: been my two favorite colors right now to purchase. I
- 19:35Speaker 1: feel like That's all I'm buying lately is either chocolate
- 19:37Speaker 1: brown or navy. I've also been loving like the ballet
- 19:41Speaker 1: flats that have two different colors. I saw a cute
- 19:44Speaker 1: pair recently. It's like this burgundy ballet flat, but it's
- 19:47Speaker 1: got like a little pink toe. And the pink's like
- 19:50Speaker 1: kind of like a mauve pink. So it's not like
- 19:53Speaker 1: a bright pink, but it kind of leans into the
- 19:55Speaker 1: fall colors. So really love ballet flats around this time
- 19:59Speaker 1: of the year. I think that's super cute. And then
- 20:01Speaker 1: obviously plaid anything like plaid shirts. plaid jackets. I'm obsessed
- 20:06Speaker 1: with flannels around this time of the year. So I
- 20:08Speaker 1: feel like I've been really leaning into the plaid aesthetic.
- 20:12Speaker 1: Also side note, baby fashion is also the cutest thing ever,
- 20:15Speaker 1: especially during the fall season. Seeing like the cute little
- 20:18Speaker 1: like teddy onesies, teddy jackets. I actually bought my first
- 20:23Speaker 1: baby outfit for my baby because we know the gender
- 20:26Speaker 1: and obviously eventually I will be sharing it with you guys.
- 20:28Speaker 1: And then lastly, when it comes to a fall rebrand
- 20:32Speaker 1: is rebranding your social life. So Going into the fall season,
- 20:36Speaker 1: how do you kind of picture your social life looking?
- 20:38Speaker 1: I feel like I am very much wanting to get
- 20:40Speaker 1: out of the house around this time of the year.
- 20:42Speaker 1: Usually around the winter season, I'm like hibernating, not really
- 20:46Speaker 1: doing much. And that's just like a personal preference. I
- 20:49Speaker 1: think just because I live in such a cold city.
- 20:51Speaker 1: But in the fall, I feel like I really want
- 20:53Speaker 1: to take advantage of like being outside as much as
- 20:55Speaker 1: possible and like taking advantage of fall dates. So like
- 20:58Speaker 1: going apple picking, going to the pumpkin patches, you know, again,
- 21:02Speaker 1: just like really leaning into that. getting outside as much
- 21:05Speaker 1: as possible before we're stuck inside for like three months. Um,
- 21:08Speaker 1: but also love to like do fall decor shopping, um,
- 21:12Speaker 1: you know, do some fall fashion shopping, obviously those little
- 21:16Speaker 1: things just get me so excited. And it's just like
- 21:18Speaker 1: such a fun way to like hang out with your
- 21:20Speaker 1: friends or like hanging out with your husband or your boyfriend,
- 21:24Speaker 1: like finding fun things to do based off the season
- 21:27Speaker 1: is like literally the best thing ever. And One thing
- 21:32Speaker 1: that Zach and I actually do every single weekend or
- 21:35Speaker 1: if Zach's busy, I'll go with my sister, but I
- 21:37Speaker 1: love to go to the farmer's market every single weekend
- 21:40Speaker 1: because once again, the farmer's market only lasts till like
- 21:44Speaker 1: end of October here. So I really like to take
- 21:46Speaker 1: advantage of, you know, doing that weekly traditional thing of
- 21:50Speaker 1: going to get coffee, go to the farmer's market, pick
- 21:53Speaker 1: out my produce, like It's just like a little tradition
- 21:55Speaker 1: that we do that I feel like makes me look
- 21:58Speaker 1: forward to the weekend. And again, something that's like really
- 22:00Speaker 1: exciting to do. And then we go on a walk
- 22:02Speaker 1: as well into the trails with the fall leaves. Like anyways,
- 22:07Speaker 1: just kind of like really tailoring into that. And then
- 22:10Speaker 1: also like booking trips around the season. Like maybe go
- 22:13Speaker 1: to places that really lean into the fall adventures, right?
- 22:16Speaker 1: I've been wanting to go to Vermont for so long.
- 22:19Speaker 1: It's like one of the top locations that people recommend
- 22:21Speaker 1: to go. to really just like enjoy the fall season there.
- 22:25Speaker 1: And it's on my bucket list. My sister and I
- 22:27Speaker 1: were actually supposed to go this fall, but anyways, things
- 22:30Speaker 1: ended up falling through just because of my house renovation.
- 22:34Speaker 1: And then I had some stuff with work in terms
- 22:36Speaker 1: of travel dates that I'm going in Canada. I'm traveling
- 22:39Speaker 1: within Canada in October. So it just kind of didn't
- 22:41Speaker 1: work out. But next fall, you bet your ass, I'll
- 22:45Speaker 1: be in Vermont enjoying my Gilmore Girls, like aesthetic trip
- 22:50Speaker 1: that I've always envisioned for myself. Anyways, next year, we're
- 22:54Speaker 1: going to do it next year and I'll have a
- 22:56Speaker 1: little baby to take with me too, maybe. So anyways,
- 22:58Speaker 1: definitely like booking your trips though around the fall season
- 23:01Speaker 1: can be really, really fun. Like there's so many fun
- 23:04Speaker 1: things that you could do. You can go horseback riding again,
- 23:07Speaker 1: like leaning into going to like fall boutiques, fall coffee shops,
- 23:12Speaker 1: all that. And it just is so much more fun
- 23:14Speaker 1: when you book a trip around you know, cities that
- 23:17Speaker 1: like have such a great fall aesthetic. I don't know.
- 23:19Speaker 1: I feel like that's a really fun thing to do.
- 23:21Speaker 1: But that's your fall rebrand for 2026. I mean, these
- 23:26Speaker 1: are just things that I personally like to do when
- 23:28Speaker 1: I go into a new season. You guys know that
- 23:29Speaker 1: I'm always kind of sharing rebrand episodes and ways and
- 23:33Speaker 1: how to like rebrand your routine, rebrand your lifestyle when
- 23:36Speaker 1: we enter a new season. These are just things that
- 23:39Speaker 1: I love to personally do that I figured I would
- 23:40Speaker 1: share with you guys as like a little mini reset
- 23:43Speaker 1: to kind of get excited for a new season ahead.
- 23:45Speaker 1: And obviously since we're in September, everything's in fall mode.
- 23:49Speaker 1: Like I'm very much in it and I'm very excited
- 23:51Speaker 1: for this fall season ahead. I kept this episode short,
- 23:55Speaker 1: but I hope you guys enjoyed it. Obviously a lot
- 23:57Speaker 1: of more fall episodes to come. I really want to
- 23:59Speaker 1: have my sister on the podcast next week. So stay
- 24:02Speaker 1: tuned for that. I feel like she hasn't been on
- 24:04Speaker 1: the podcast for so long. So it'll be really nice
- 24:06Speaker 1: to have her and chat about the fall season. But
- 24:09Speaker 1: I hope you guys enjoyed this episode. If you're new,
- 24:12Speaker 1: definitely make sure to follow me, Kaylee. I'm on Instagram, TikTok,

- 24:24Speaker 1: you guys in next week's episode.
