Speaker 4: big story for you. Donald Trump has deployed ICE agents

Speaker 4: to assist TSA at US airports and now Democrats are
• 0:35
Speaker 4: enraged by this decision. So what does it mean for

• 0:41
Speaker 4: much worse could it get? We've got it all for you.

• 0:53
Speaker 4: on the ground for all those in need. A sacred
• 0:56
Speaker 4: season is approaching Passover when we remember God's deliverance, the
• 1:01
Speaker 4: night he brought his people out of bondage and into freedom.
• 1:04
Speaker 4: This year, many of God's people will observe in darkness
• 1:08
Speaker 4: under the shadow of war across Israel, red alert sirens
• 1:12
Speaker 4: pierced the air, Families run to shelters with seconds to spare,
• 1:17
Speaker 4: elderly men and women fear they'll be left behind, and
• 1:21
Speaker 4: parents are comforting their frightened children as explosions shake the night.
• 1:26
Speaker 4: Sleeplessness and uncertainty have become daily life in Israel, and
• 1:31
Speaker 4: Passover reminds us that God hears the cries of his
• 1:34
Speaker 4: people and answers with love and compassion. And that's why
• 1:38
Speaker 4: the International Fellowship of Christians and Jews is on the
• 1:42
Speaker 4: ground in Israel right now. They're providing food and emergency supplies,
• 1:47
Speaker 4: equipping bomb shelters, and caring for elderly Holocaust survivors, just
• 1:52
Speaker 4: as His people once cried out for deliverance. Vulnerable Israelis

Speaker 4: if CJ dot org. It's a forty seven morning update
• 2:29
Speaker 4: and it starts right now.
• 2:31
  Speaker 5: Story number one.
• 2:32
Speaker 4: Donald Trump has deployed ICE agents to assist the TSA
• 2:37
Speaker 4: at US airports. Let me give you the latest on
• 2:41
Speaker 4: this crisis and how we got to the point of
• 2:43
Speaker 4: where we are right now. If you've gone on an airport,
• 2:47
Speaker 4: if you're dealing with this during spring break travel, then
• 2:50
Speaker 4: you've probably seen what so many are talking about. Hours
• 2:53
Speaker 4: long waits at major airports around the country, and we're
• 2:58
Speaker 4: in the middle of a full boil blown TSA crisis
• 3:02
Speaker 4: and it's hitting travelers hard. More than fifty thousand TSA
• 3:07
Speaker 4: agents have been working without a paycheck for over a month.
• 3:11
Speaker 4: I want you to think about that. The people responsible
• 3:14
Speaker 4: for keeping our skies safe are showing up every day
• 3:18
Speaker 4: doing their jobs and they're not getting a paycheck. This
• 3:22
Speaker 4: is all because the Democrats wanting to defund ICE, and
• 3:26
Speaker 4: this is their protest move, saying we're going to get
• 3:29
Speaker 4: rid of the Department of Homeland Security funding. They know
• 3:32
Speaker 4: that this is a problem, they know it's hurting people's lives,
• 3:35
Speaker 4: and they don't care. The consequences, by the way, are
• 3:39
Speaker 4: exactly what you'd expect. We're now seeing thousands of TSA
• 3:42
Speaker 4: agents calling out every single day. At one point, more
• 3:46
Speaker 4: than three thousand agents were absent in a single day.
• 3:49
Speaker 4: On top of that, hundreds have already quit the job,
• 3:53
Speaker 4: walking away from the job entirely because they simply can't
• 3:55
Speaker 4: afford to keep working without pay. The result chaos the
• 4:00
Speaker 4: airports across the country. We are talking about wait times
• 4:04
Speaker 4: now stretching two hours or more, lines wrapping through terminals,
• 4:10
Speaker 4: families missing multiple flights, business travelers also stranded, and in
• 4:16
Speaker 4: some locations, absentee rates are hitting double digits, even as
• 4:20
Speaker 4: high as forty percent, putting every American's life at risk.
• 4:25
Speaker 4: Let's be clear about that. Because of the anarchy and
• 4:28
Speaker 4: the chaos, if you're traveling, you should be angry because
• 4:33
Speaker 4: you're still being taxed and the services the government shorts
• 4:36
Speaker 4: to provide are not being given to you. And that's
• 4:40
Speaker 4: just the beginning. It is a strain we are now
• 4:44
Speaker 4: being told on national security, and that's where the story
• 4:47
Speaker 4: changes for me big time. Instead of waiting around for
• 4:51
Speaker 4: Washington gridlock to magically fix itself, President Trump showed the
• 4:55
Speaker 4: leadership yet again, stepping in and taking action. The administration
• 5:00
Speaker 4: has begun to pouring hundreds of ICE agents to major
• 5:04
Speaker 4: airports across the country, not as a replacement for TSA,
• 5:09
Speaker 4: but his reinforcement. These ICE officers are helping with crowd control,
• 5:13
Speaker 4: ID checks and managing lines, allowing the TSA agents to
• 5:18
Speaker 4: focus on what matters most, actual screening and security of
• 5:23
Speaker 4: people getting on airplanes. President Trump put it simply. He
• 5:26
Speaker 4: said ICE agents would be going to airports to help
• 5:30
Speaker 4: with what he called our wonderful TSA agents, while also
• 5:34
Speaker 4: making it clear that the funding hold up is putting
• 5:37
Speaker 4: Americans at risk, and the administration isn't mincing words about
• 5:42
Speaker 4: the strategy here. Officials say the President's using every tool
• 5:45
Speaker 4: available to keep airports running and travelers moving, deploying already trained,
• 5:52
Speaker 4: already funded federal personnel to stabilize the system immediately the
• 5:57
Speaker 4: borders are Tom Homan said it directly, they're doing everything
• 6:01
Speaker 4: they can to help move people through the lines, and
• 6:04
Speaker 4: Vice President JD. Vance summed it up this way, saying,
• 6:07
Speaker 4: ICE will help bring sanity back to our airports, and
• 6:11
Speaker 4: that really is the bottom line. You've got a system
• 6:15
Speaker 4: under pressure, thousands of workers stretch thin, long lines, rising frustration.
• 6:21
Speaker 4: Instead of waiting, the President is acting. It's real time
• 6:25
Speaker 4: response to a real time problem. And while others in
• 6:29
Speaker 4: Washington are arguing or holding Americans hostage, this administration is
• 6:34
Speaker 4: putting people on the ground making sure that there is
• 6:37
Speaker 4: order and making sure Americans can travel, most importantly safely,
• 6:43
Speaker 4: because at the end of the day, leadership isn't about talking,
• 6:45
Speaker 4: It's about acting, and that's what this White House is
• 6:48
Speaker 4: clearly doing. Now, there are a lot of Americans that
• 6:51
Speaker 4: are really upset that this has even gotten to this point.
• 6:55
Speaker 4: To be clear, this is all being done by design.
• 7:03
Speaker 4: Democrats wanted this to happen. They knew it was going
• 7:07
Speaker 4: to happen this way. They orchestrated it to happen this way.
• 7:13
Speaker 4: They wanted you to be punished as you go to
• 7:15
Speaker 4: the airport. They wanted you to be hurting as you
• 7:18
Speaker 4: go to the airport. Now, Tom Homan went on CNN
• 7:23
Speaker 4: he was asked about this exactly today and what exactly
• 7:27
Speaker 4: it's going to look like with more of these agents
• 7:29
Speaker 4: moving forward. Take a listen to what Tom Homan had
• 7:33
  Speaker 4: to say.
• 7:34
Speaker 1: Are ICE agents even remotely trained to handle security at airports?
• 7:39
Speaker 3: ICE agents receive high level of training, and you know
• 7:43
Speaker 3: the ICE agents are assigned up many airports across the country.
• 7:46
Speaker 3: Already they do a lot of investigation co investigation on
• 7:49
Speaker 3: smogger airports. But you know there's I mean, there's got
• 7:53
Speaker 3: ts agents covering exits, you know, people to enter through
• 7:57
Speaker 3: the exits. You know, certainly a highly trained ICE lall
• 8:01
Speaker 3: enforcement officers can cover an exit, makes people people don't
• 8:04
Speaker 3: go through those exits enter an airport through the exits
• 8:07
Speaker 3: and that stuff like that relieves that TSA officer to
• 8:10
Speaker 3: go to screening and to reduce those lines so where
• 8:15
Speaker 3: we can provide extra secret I don't see an ICE
• 8:18
Speaker 3: ag looking at an X ray machine because you're not
• 8:21
Speaker 3: trained in that. There are certain parts of security that
• 8:24
Speaker 3: TSA is doing that we can move them off those
• 8:26
Speaker 3: jobs and put them in the specialized jobs help move
• 8:29
  Speaker 3: those lines.
• 8:29
Speaker 1: Okay, that was going to be my next question. So
• 8:32
Speaker 1: what you're saying is when you move ICE into airports,
• 8:35
Speaker 1: they are going to be just around the exits and
• 8:37
Speaker 1: the exteriors. They're not going to be helping people get
• 8:41
Speaker 1: through the lines and screening people's bags.
• 8:44
Speaker 3: Those discussions are going on. Now. I'm not expert at TSA,
• 8:47
Speaker 3: so that's why I'm talking to the TSA administrator and
• 8:50
Speaker 3: the ICE director find out where we can fit in.
• 8:52
Speaker 3: We'll get web a planned by the end of today
• 8:55
Speaker 3: where we're sending, what airports we're starting with, and where
• 8:57
Speaker 3: we're standing them. But let's the discussion we're right now.
• 9:01
Speaker 3: I ended discussion to do the show, and I'll be
• 9:03
Speaker 3: back having those discussions when I finished. So it's a
• 9:06
Speaker 3: work in progress, but we will be at airports tomorrow.
• 9:10
Speaker 4: You hear Tom they're talking, and one of the things
• 9:13
Speaker 4: that's very clear about what he was saying is this
• 9:17
Speaker 4: isn't chaos as CNN is trying to describe it. This
• 9:21
Speaker 4: is American leadership. There is nothing here that you should
• 9:25
Speaker 4: be worried about because we're doing it the right way.
• 9:28
Speaker 4: Sean Duffy, the man in charge of Transportation Secretary, put
• 9:33
Speaker 4: it this way about what we're dealing with right now
• 9:36
Speaker 4: in this country because of the Democrats holding everyone hostage.
• 9:41
Speaker 2: So I think as we look forward to Friday, that's
• 9:43
Speaker 2: when the next paycheck should come, and if this homeland
• 9:46
Speaker 2: security funding isn't resolved, I think you're going to see
• 9:49
Speaker 2: more TSA agents has become to Thursday, Friday, Saturday of
• 9:52
Speaker 2: next week, they're going to quit or they're not going
• 9:55
Speaker 2: to show up a lot of the starting salaries at
• 9:57
Speaker 2: TSA they're right around fifty f thousand dollars. So if
• 10:00
Speaker 2: you live in you know, one of the big cities
• 10:02
Speaker 2: of America, LA, or New York or or Miami, it's
• 10:07
Speaker 2: hard for these individuals already to make their ends meet,
• 10:09
Speaker 2: but with out getting paychecks, it's even that much more challenging.
• 10:13
Speaker 2: And so they're going to take other jobs to put
• 10:15
Speaker 2: food on the table and pay the rent. So I
• 10:17
Speaker 2: do think it's going to get much worse. And as
• 10:19
Speaker 2: it gets worse, I think that puts pressure on the
• 10:22
Speaker 2: Congress to come to a resolution. Democrats have to say,
• 10:24
Speaker 2: you know what, we're not going to defund this, We're
• 10:27
Speaker 2: going to actually work together have some common sense reform
• 10:29
Speaker 2: that the President we'll work with us on, and you know,
• 10:32
Speaker 2: let's get America working again. And the last thing you
• 10:36
Speaker 2: want as you travel is to deal with political fights
• 10:40
Speaker 2: at the airport. Let that stay in in Congress, but
• 10:43
Speaker 2: don't extract pain out of me and my family as
• 10:45
Speaker 2: I'm trying to just go to Florida and get some
• 10:48
Speaker 2: son on my bones during spring break.
• 10:49
  Speaker 1: With my kids.
• 10:50
Speaker 4: Sean DEFFI may get clear over four hundred TSA agents
• 10:53
Speaker 4: have been forced to quit their job because of Chuck Schumer,
• 10:56
Speaker 4: and even more will walk off the job of Democrats
• 10:59
  Speaker 4: shut down continues.
