- We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, but they are endowed by their Creator with certain unadulable rights, that among these are life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. Yes! Hello America! Welcome to Cross Ball took America 250th birthday. I'm going to give you my little George W. Bush impression. I'm in on the job 24-7. That's 24 days a week, seven months a year. Sorry Steve. Yeah, sorry. Have you heard that? We got of course Pastor Toby in the studio and then of course Knox in Arizona and then of course, you know, the reason why I did this, Knox, so Mr. Steve, I did not tell Knox or Toby you were going to be here because last year you were on our fourth of July show last year. Wow. And I was like, I was like, I'm a tech Steve, so you just want to come on our fourth of July show again. And he said, I'm sick, I will see. Steve, always good to have you man. Thank you for coming on. You bet. Good to see everybody. Thank you for having me. So, I tweeted out this last week, you know, just kind of thinking about America is 250th. Wait, wait, wait, wait, we're not going to talk about Steve's ozimpic moment. Steve, you're probably going to talk about that. Steve, Steve's not on ozimpic. Let I see a jawline. That's something. Steve, I got you back on this man. That's just hard work. You're doing it wrong. No, I mean, I'm not on ozimpic. Not that there's anything wrong with that, but I'm not. All right. What I was on yesterday was one demonic stomach bug. I was on that yesterday. Oh, yeah. He got his jawline yesterday. Yeah, that came in just yesterday. My voice is deeper now. I shaved today too. Could you guys tell me do I go with her against the grain? No one ever taught me. I don't know. Oh, that's great. That's great. Is that all is all you want knocks? He's one of the start. When a man works his hard to develop a jawline, you acknowledge the man's jawline. And say good job, brother. Looking forward to seeing you guys. You want to praise him? You know what? Test Tarstorone is low now, Dave. That is true. Solo, Solo that this is not the gayest segment that's ever aired on this show. That's how low there's a neighbor that's that, you know, yes. Wow. Oh, man. My goodness. Well, so to get in America's 250th here. So I tweet out, I'm kind of thinking about America 250 and 250 years, celebrating 250 years of America. And but also kind of thinking about how we got here. Kind of thing. How do we get to an America that's not really identifiably Christian? In a lot of ways, there's still there's still some reminit there barely, barely. But thinking about how we got here. And after, I mean, we've talked about this so many times on the show. And I'm sure Steve, you know the stats. But when the Constitution was ratified in 1789, America was 99% Protestant. I mean, we were in the 1% as I understand the stat, the 1% included Catholics. Like that's how they divided it. Yeah. And the stats. And so we were like basically thoroughly Christian. Right. So I think that's from, you know, from everything. And then how do we get to a point where, you know, we got Muslim cities in Michigan. And, you know, socialist getting openly elected, killing 60 million babies. You know, obvious, obvious sense of our of our nation. And so I tweeted out kind of, you know, and then you think the other thing about this, like America, we're in a situation. I wonder if this happened in the past. You know, your history better than me, Toby. But we're in a situation where America was not conquered by guns. Was not conquered by war. But it's been basically being taken over through the cultural battle, through, you know, not by guns, not by force. But just kind of cultural conquest. Yeah. In a lot of ways. I know I'm sure there's a country where that happened in the past before. But most, most in the past, we're taking over by wars and guns and all that stuff. I said, the only one I had in order in my, in my thread was that the first one, the first thing I said. In the context of this is how America got taken over not by a war with guns, but a by a cultural war. Was the first thing that happened was we ignored the God of the Bible. We forgot America is Christian founding. You know, we've read on our history. And then we pretended as part of this that all religions are the same. All religions are welcome. We kind of had some sort of unitarian, you know, utopia delight there. That's number one. None of these else are in any particular order here. And you guys, you know, feel free to jump into. Then the second one was, and this is, needs a lot of flesh and out. But basically I said we majored in the miners and we minored in the majors. And kind of what I meant by that was, you know, we were protect bald eagle eggs while killing 60 million babies. You know, you could go to federal prison for taking a bald eagle egg and killing it while we kill 60 million babies. We majored in all these miners. We minored all these majors. And you can think of just a number of examples that happen there. We wrote our history books. We increased taxes and reduced liberties. We used taxes to grow unacceptable social programs that line the pockets of our politicians. And so we think of, you know, we, we take all these taxes. And we build up all these coffers. And then we give them the small ins. You know, or we give them in the name of, and probably I think our biggest fraud systems are going to our social services. So the name of helping the poor, I think that's probably where our biggest fraud is happening. And the name of helping for what it was a New York spent New York City per homeless person on the street. What was it? They spent $80,000 last year per homeless person. Remember that stat that came out? Steve, do you remember that stat? I don't. Now there's a recent stat where they looked at all the homeless people. And I think it was just New York City. And they looked at all the programs that go to help the homeless and it added up to something like they're spending something like 60 to $80,000. Oh, I'm not challenging it at all because it makes total sense. Yeah. Yeah. I would say that's it. Yeah. Yeah. You know, and if they think money is a problem and the fixes poor, they went out give $80,000 per person kind of thing. And then, you know, so I think I think that number six, expanding those programs to incentivize immigration. We obviously had a big talk about this, big issues in the last 20, 20 years that are fighting over expanded. So we took a lot of our, our, our poor money, our money that was dedicated to the poor and we added immigration programs to it. Now, it maybe didn't come out of like, you know, our, our, our snap programs or anything. But we've basically in the name of the poor and the name of immigration and the name of helping others. We've have all this now all these deep pockets for immigration. And so we've incentivized a lot of our bad immigration that's going on. Number seven, pastors inculcate their congregations and tell them their faith is not intertwined with politics. That's where, that's where we grew up. That's our culture. Number eight, these, these same pastors encouraged their congregations to advocate their responsibilities. And then hand them over, hand those responsibilities over to the government, like government education. You know, what pastor refuses to preach against public schools in our current situation. It's like, if all the wolves are there and we can't warn our congregation, we can't warn our children, hey, you should not be going to public schools. That's where the wolves are at. That's where your soul's being devoured. And we got pastors that were still refused to preach against the wolves. Number nine, we demonize and attack Christians. And I said, especially white Christian males as the problem for our nation's decline, which has kind of been, I don't know, a big, a bigger issue in the last 20 years. You know, Disney wasn't going to give raises to white males. That came out. But number 10, and this, I think this is important too, because we have this whole white boy summer weird stuff going on. Number 10, and Christians, especially white male Christians need to take responsibility for the decline of our country. So, and this goes back to whenever I get in the argument with like someone who thinks the Jews have some sort of superpowers and that they're the problem with the world. My questions to them, my responses to them are, you know, it's white male policies that killed 66 million babies in the United States. White male policies that has created all these social net programs that are being fraud that are taking over by fraudsters are government fraudsters. It's white male policies that's given a lot of what we have in America and the problems that we have in America. And so we need to take responsibility for it. Number 11, I'm almost done here. I believe that the 11th commandment is the highest and greatest commandment. That should be nice. That is feminized. A lot of our Christians, number 12, get Christian business leaders to avoid getting involved in politics and put their faith under a bushel. And then additionally, feed them a pessimistic worldview and defeat us worldview to three more left here. Number 13, run the Orwell and Huxley play at the same time, which is basically what's happened. You know, give them a defeat us worldview, give them, you know, give them pornography, give them the Huxley porn, give them the Orwell socialism to despair. Number 14, slowly infuse socialism into political structures and laws, which we've been doing for a long time in. And so many Republicans are part of that problem. You know, I remember I went to school 2002, 2003 University of Idaho. And I remember I said this today, arguing with kids on campus, teachers on campus. And largely there are a lot of more Democrats. And I remember telling them, like, you guys are socialist. This is in 2003. You Democrats are socialists. They're like, no, no, no, no. And now they're openly voting for socialist, Mambonni candidates. A socialist just took a 15, 15 year incumbent in seat in Colorado. Just he was running the or she, the income it was running, been, been serving for 15, 16 years. And the socialist just beat that person. Just like yesterday, two days ago. And then last last one, of course, these were no particular order, but create a variety of special interest groups and reward them with their own incentives and legal protections. So one of the plays that we've been goalable to and been run on us is politicians love special interest groups. I can go speak to the environmentalist and I can just talk about the environmental issues. And they don't need to know about my economics. They don't need to need to know for against game marriage or whatever I can go speak and win that group just on their issues. I can go speak to, you know, the Christians and just talk to them about their issues. And so being able to put us in a box and we not thinking clearly about it either has I think, you know, been, been awful, been devastating for kind of the, the, the electorate. The reason why I wanted to bring this up and start here with the shows because we all love America, but also, you, you, you're critical in a healthy way for what you love. You want to point out your own problems and especially if we want to, if we have an opportunity, which I think is possible for reformation revival and the next 250 years thinking, coveninally thinking future next 250 years, you know, what do we do to move for? You know, what, what should these next 250 years look like? And I'm just going to leave that as an open question to everyone wants to get in. Hold on a second guys, I need to see if Jack of work and still makes house calls, give me a second, if you don't mind. Is it one 800 self harm? Is that still the number for Jack? Sorry, I was surprised you still know that I grew up in Michigan. Remember, and so Jack of work, he was on the six o'clock news every night when I was a kid growing up. So yeah. Well, but here's the thing. Everything you just said is true. But, you know, it's like the day one of seminary question they used to ask, maybe they still do Toby could help me with that, but is God imminent or transcendent, right? It's a trick question because the answer is yes, right? So is God a God of wrath and holiness or a God of grace and mercy? And the answer is yes. So everything you just said is true. And yet, what's this, where's the second best place to live in the world right now? It's not even close. We wouldn't, we could argue all day. We could argue until Jack of work and self harms himself about what number two would be. And we couldn't even fathom that there's like another country on the horizon. You know, maybe we were going to be in the same way as the United States. But we still, Jack of work and self harms himself about what number two would be. And we couldn't even fathom that there's like another country on the horizon. You know, maybe we were all fantasizing about hungry until about six months ago, right? You know, and so there's not, there's not even a, there's not another country warming up in the bullpen. So I think two things can be true at once. We are still the freest most prosperous people God has ever permitted to live on this planet since Genesis chapter three. And at the same time, everything you just said is also true. And I think you're watching the, the providence of God, both his righteousness and his, and his, and his grace play itself out both simultaneously. Now here's the thing that won't happen indefinitely. God will not be mocked. Do not be deceived. We will always reap what we sow, right? Okay. And so Uncle Bingo, the check will come do here eventually. And I would argue it's closer to coming do than I think a lot of people realize. I think that the court, the two Supreme Court decisions this week, undoing elections and undoing citizenship and borders. You know, this window that we have here to peaceably, but I would say aggressively, what do I mean by aggressively do things like close the border more aggressive, peaceable things that we could do because looking at the age of the four of us, you know, knocks looks like he might be a little younger than the rest of us, or at least a lot cooler. But looking at the age of all four of us here, it went, you know, we're not out. We're not going to be the ones fighting the next bull run, or the next bunker hill. It's going to be our sons and grandsons. They're going to be ones doing that. So we've got, we've got a window here. I love hearing about civil war from Mr. Brodude in his 24 inch biceps who took his little princess and made sure she wore a mask every day to go into Costco during COVID. I love hearing from that tough guy. Alright, whereas biceps are about three times the size of his soul. I love hearing from that dude. Okay. But the reality is though history is replete with examples of eventually this window closes. And you know, you end up in a worldview steel cage match. That's where we are right now. And two worldviews of entered only one of them's coming out of that ring. Only one of them's coming out. So the match is still going on. But it won't last forever. And I really think we are in straight up. I really think we are in revival or bust territory. I think that without great awakening level revival, which is what we saw that led to liberty on this continent. We won't see a renewal of liberty on this continent. I don't think we can legislate our way out of it. I don't think we can politic our way out of it. There's just, you know, too many it's the old line. It trees and ever prospers. What's the reason? Because whenever trees and prospers, none will dare call it treason. I mean too many of us have a suckling spot, you know, on the government's south. No, no generations, the boomers are going to say, hey, we're the ones that we're the longest living, the hardest working. We're the ones that that paid for all of this. Now it's our turn to recoup on the back end. And to take it away from them, I would argue it would be immoral. I mean they did pay into the system for 60 years. Now we're going to say to them, screw you. But then we're going to tell their kids and grandkids, but you got to go ahead and pay for your grandparents and their retirements and all the debt they accrued all those decades. There's no good solutions here. There's there's there's no outs here. And so we are, I think we are strictly in revival or bust territory. I think I think there needs to be supernatural revival before we can even contemplate unpacking all of this intellectually. I think where you started Steve, I was thinking the same thing as Gabe was talking, Jack Cvorkian, you know, I'm thinking of, like just we're doing this to ourselves. Like every single one of these things that Gabe mentions, it's like, like so we are subsidizing our own destruction. And so many Christians, like that was part of your point, Gabe too, is that like so many Christians are unknowingly, naively. I don't know, they've been let, let us stray by their pastors, by their teachers. I mean, how many, I mean, you have, you mentioned public schools. That's a problem. But I mean, how many Christian schools, how many Christian colleges are teaching socialism? I just started rereading, I'll recommend productive Christians and an age of guilt manipulators. It's an amazing book by David Chilton written, written I think and published in 1981. 1981 and he's, it's a book going after Ron Cider, who was the late 70s, you know, soft socialist Christian evangelical, you know, pretty boy. And, and, and the, and in the introduction Gary North says he's getting invited like a celebrity speaker to all the conservative Christian seminaries, like Westminster seminary in the 70s is having Ron Cider speak RTS in Jackson, Mississippi is having Ron Cider speak. And, and Gary North said, and, you know, we can't get David Chilton a spot. I can't get a spot because you know, and that's in the early, like that's in the late 70s early 80s. And he's pointing out there how even then Christians are subsidizing these schools, not taking responsibility and not, and the trustees are not taking responsibility. They're not stepping in and saying, you know, why are these things being taught? Why are we not teaching biblical economics? Why are we not teaching Christian Liberty? And it's all based on surprise, surprise. Feel bad for the poor people. Yeah. And you should feel bad. It's funny that the number that Ron Cider was using at the time was if you made more than I think it was like, like 18,000 the year, he was like, you need to feel bad. Like that was like, you need, you need to be feel really guilty because you're rich. And, you know, this is early 80s, late 70s. And, but it's the same thing. It's guilt manipulating. And, and getting Christians essentially though to suicide themselves. And, and he actually he's Gary North in the introduction says, we have a problem of he calls it suicidal Caucasians. That's in 1981. Wow. Read that book because he calls that shot. I guess it's my turn now. I guess we're going around in circles. It's like, yeah. Yeah. Shanks. Shanks. Shanks. It's funny. Gabe, as you were talking, there was a couple things to pop to my mind. I think that it's funny. The tax thing really stuck out to me. And I'll talk about it in a second, but there was something else that happened this week. I don't know if you guys saw you guys see the video with Matt Chandler start cycling around. That's about closing on church for three weeks so they can finish. Yeah. Is that no other place to gather people except for your own auditorium? Really? Listen, if you want to, if you want to make sure, if you want to, if there's one thing you know, you can do to become gayer. Watch a Matt Chandler video with the sound off and just watch every stereotypical fake empathy mannerism without without the without the words what to intellectually distract you. You'll absolutely be gayer than you were before the video started. I guarantee you. So that's part of what I wanted to talk about because everything you just talked about Gabe, I think there's two things. I think you when you see your tax money being taken more than ties, you got to know you're in a place of idolatry. Yes. Somebody else thinks that they're God. And so they feel like they can require more of you than what or something something more than what God has required of you. That's right. And so that's always a problem because that means that you're in a place where now you have been turned over to the idols that you serve. So that's bad. And it only became more evident to me in that reality by watching the Matt Chandler thing. Everybody was really mad. It's just that most people were disappointed with how they liked Matt Chandler, but they can't believe they were ever let us stray by somebody who talks like this. And I was like, okay, I get it. He's he talks weird and I grant that. I saw very few people as disappointed with the message of what he was saying than how he was saying it. And that drove me nuts because I'm saying wait a second. We got one group of people up here who naturally see this type of degrading speech. Okay, you can talk about that. I grant you. I'll even be one over to your argument. But then the content of that speech is about how we want to become a cultured covenant type of people separate. And it screamed to me everything that COVID was trying to tell us to do. You go be separate in your place together with everybody. You go invite only the closest people to you. And it was like, if worship isn't central and important to what we do to gather together, me with the Lord and his people, then nothing else matters. If that is essential to what we do, we're not going to win this. And the fact that he said all the things that are supposed to build strong Christian cultures, but it was without gathering together in the church to worship. And it was because they were having a construction. They were his whole point. Breathe, if you can find the clip, go look for it because it's worth bringing up because I think it's essential to all of this. The whole point was that, hey, the construction time is taking longer than necessary. And the reason why it's taken so long is because we keep stopping construction on Thursday to get ready for worship on Sunday. And so what we need to do is we need to stop worship on Sunday for a few weeks, three weeks, three weeks, so that we can get the congregation, so the construction prize. Man was made for the Sabbath, Knox. That's what he's saying. Man was made for the Sabbath. That's what he's saying. And I like, where are the people flipping out over that? Yeah. Like, that's the thing to flip out over. I don't care about the man's hand motions nearly as much as I care about the fact that if we don't take God seriously about meeting with him together on the Lord's day, you can kiss your nation goodbye. Yeah. You can kiss everything goodbye. Yes, your taxes will go up because what you just told your people is that what God requires of you can be held back by construction, let alone the president of the United States. Yeah. Nobody told them to do that. That was there. Think about how little you have to think about worship on Sunday that a construction job can throw you off a worshiping with God's people. Yeah. Yeah. That's it. Three years to crush the curve. That's all it was. And if you don't think that worship is that important, like I would rather pay the premium on the construction and say, guys, we want you to help us set up. But here's what we're not going to do. We're not going to say this construction of the temple of the building itself is more important than the God that we're worshiping. We will worship while we work, put some plastic over things, but we're coming together in the house of God because God means with his people right here. At this time. And so I just looked at that and I'm like, we have, we have not just been overrun by the outside immigrants and liberals inside of our borders. We have been overrun because we have single handedly said, God, we don't care about what you have required of us. Do the one of me 28 makes it clear if you do not listen to me and harken into my voice and carefully do carefully do what I told you to do. You will not reap blessings but curses. Right. And that's where we're at. It's like it's not that it's really simple and it goes on to give us as lovely law to laws. Guess what? What it has to do with worship. I wonder how much like the close the church down thing has to do with the view of modern worship because you can't have all the lights up. You can't have all the meat in the sound. You can't have smoke machine, the smoke machines, whatever. I don't know what Matt does at his church, but I wonder how much of it has to do with thinking, oh, if we don't have guitar. We can't worship God. Maybe. You know, because like I was thinking as you're talking, I was telling you before the show knocks I'm getting ready to do five talks next week for a conference. And I'm doing five American heroes for America 250 for this high school world. Man, what's Teddy though? And I know that. Hey, go that killer. And I'm doing so one of them of course is Stonewall Jackson. And I am reading this week getting ready for this talk and Stonewall is such a dude. And he is he he he's writing a letter in the midst like in the aftermath of one of the like. Major battles, Chancellor's Villa or something like this. Not Chancellor's Villa because that's where he gets wounded, but you know, one of the other battles and and he writes a letter to a guy enrichment. Because he's really concerned about the fact that the Confederacy is running mail on the Sabbath. Get him. And he says to the guy he says a nation which disregards God's law regarding his day cannot long last on this earth. So thank you for considering this like a key's in the middle of fighting what he believes, you know, this rights liberty against encroaching federal government. And and set but is meanwhile writing, you know, people back enrichment like, but guys, if we don't get this right, we can't be blessed. Wow. You know, males being carried. These people are not going to go into worship on the Lord's side. How many battles were fought in the Civil War on Sunday? A few. Yeah. And and and Jackson like was really bothered by it. He would do it sometimes and he would write letters into his wife and be like, you know, it's really not. I really didn't want to do it, but I but I decided this was a matter of saving life. Yeah. Because that's how we thought he's this. You know, there's a there's a there's a place for saving life on the Sabbath. And I think if I fight this battle, it might bring the war to an end faster and we'll save more lives. And so he was able to sort of like get his head around it, but he didn't like it at all because. In the mercy ministry at that point. Yeah. I think that's how he thought of it. But I mean, same point like if we don't honor. The Lord. Yeah. Then you can't have his blessing. I was I was one of the things I was thinking of when you know Steve was talking earlier and and it's same thing when you're talking to ox is like. I'm I'm I'm preaching through judges right now. And I'm preaching to the life of Samson. And I'm in chapter 15 this Sunday. And it's it's the story where there's this back and forth. Where Samson's picking fight with Philistines where you know releases the foxes in the in the fields lights their fields on fire and then they they come back out of him and. And then he kills a bunch of them and then they come after him and the and the mid of Judah come after him and they're like Samson. You're not allowed to do this. Like you're making a lot of problems with the Philistines. You know, yeah. And it's like perfect like you're being a bad testimony. Yeah. Yeah, like like we looked in the Philistine rule book and it says you're not allowed to fight Philistines. And you know, we have this like super win some evangelistic program right now and you're getting in the way. And and they're and they're like we're turning you over to the Philistines and Samson's like, okay, you promise not to kill me yourself. And they're like, yes. And they bind him with new ropes and it's really striking, but they say. The 3000 men of Judah took him down to the Philistines, the hand him over to hand him over and you're like 3000 men of Judah. You know, gare than match handler walk the walk the dude down. The spirit of the Lord comes upon and he busts the ropes and kills a thousand Philistines with the job on of a donkey. Yeah. And and and if there were only a thousand of them, that even makes even worse. He kills a thousand and it's like 3000 men of Judah terrified of a thousand Philistines. When they have a dude in their midst, they'll have to Holy Spirit who can defend them and is offering to to bring them freedom. And they're no, no, no, no, you're causing too much trouble. To your point, Knox, the answer is actually not far away. The answer, you know, and in Deuteronomy says the same thing is not far away from you. It's in your mouth. It's in your heart. It's simply turning back to the Lord. I mean, we have Christ, the strong man. We have, we have the answer if we will turn back to him. That's right. But we're, we insist on doing it our way. We got to have our programs. We're going to do it our way. And we refuse to do it God's way. I wonder if what we need is really any different than, you know, 1940s. Excuse me, 1740s, 19, 1943, Yeah, 1740s revival. You know, I, the great awakening. I'm yeah, exactly. I'm also Steve said. Yeah. But what I guess what I'm the point I'm trying to make there is that it seems to me that we talk about Reformation Vival. We believe it's key to what we need. But it seems to me Reformation Revival needs to happen mostly in the church, which is what happened in the great awakening. Yeah. So I mean, that's the interesting thing. Everybody went to church in the 1730s and 40s. Right. Like everybody went to church. They're all Christians. And, and that was the thing. No. It's like Jonathan Edwards. He actually starts writing about it. He's like, guys, all these people are going to church, but they weren't into God at all. Like they went to church. Yeah. And they were literally were not into the things of God and then remarkably and interestingly it actually started with teenagers. It was a bunch of teens in Jonathan Edwards church that suddenly were radically converted. Wow. And they asked the the pastors, can we have a prayer meeting, a Bible study? Mm-hmm. And the past is like, yeah, yeah, you can. And they start having these Bible studies around town. These like small groups. Yeah. And one after another, these teenagers and these young people are being radically converted. Wow. And that's how the great awakening started. But it was people in in church. In the church. Yeah. And actually getting saved. And that's, I think what we have to have. I think, I think we have a bunch of people that, you know, claim the name of Christ had a emotional experience. I would respond to what you guys just said on on two fronts one I've told my audience for years when talking about revival that I think when you see sincere revival there are there's a math formula that I think typically plays itself out that repentance or reformation plus repentance or repentance plus reformation is usually what equals revival how do we know it's sincere or not right. Of course repentance we all know what that means turning away from our our former life from the sins that so easily and snare us as the writer of Hebrews describes them. You can kind of sum up martin Luther's preamble to the 95 thysses with the with the line that all of the Christian life is a life of repentance that that's essentially a hallmark of what it means to be a spirit filled believer. So I'm going to ask you what does that mean I've always defined it from my audience as the the worship of God as he commands and deserves not as we prefer and are willing as he commands and deserves right and you see this play out the very first formal act of worship at least as far as I can remember in the scriptures between brother gives God the offering that he commands and deserves and for that he is blessed the other brother gives God the offering he's willing to give him. You know he's your 21st century American church growth consultant that thinks God needs an editor okay and you know what ends up happening of course is you know he murders his brother and God asked him you know what happened to his brother and he sarcastically answers am I by brothers keeper and yet the American the western left have you that's one of their favorite Bible versus ironically enough is there quoting a murderer who says that's sardinically to the king of the universe one my brothers keeper anything that's justification for an entire you know economic system based on violating the command against covetousness right okay and so as long as you know I gave a talk at TPS a faith last past or summit and I went with a really subtle title guys with it with over a thousand pastors in the room I wanted to make sure I I can't I didn't come into hot right and I'm going to do it. I can come into hot right and so I titled it be worthy of the bullet that Charlie cook Charlie Kirk took for you okay because I wanted to come in kind of general and ease my way in and because the reality is the one guy who was doing like actual seeker sensitive ministry who was going where the seekers were the seekers I this is going to shock some folks but there are seekers outside of posh wealthy suburbs it's funny that's always where the seekers lived you guys notice this the seekers are always in these posh wealthy suburbs it's weird so Charlie was the one guy going where the real seekers were that's why he got shot in the throat for that okay because he was playing he was going on offense and taking ground and many of the pastors who thought they were too good to be aligned with him because they were still following the third way you know he was the one that took the bullet that frankly they were they were not worthy of the bullet that he took. You know I had a pastor say to me that the biggest problem America has is nobody really wants to shoot a restaurant pastors anymore and that's that's pretty out I mean that's very very true I mean we are much of the American pastor is complacent and is too willing to compromise Charlie is to call them trembling pastors right and they were just they're just too willing to compromise with the world and ultimately become a part of it but here's the thing the Lord as a way of still getting his way. You know and you saw Charlie's memorial I would argue that was the largest broadcast of the gospel in human history more people heard the gospel of that event now it wasn't necessarily the most orthodox one it wasn't necessarily the most organized one but but it's where we are I mean the Lord will fight wars with the soldiers he has right you know so I didn't have Don junior telling the average American evangelical more about Saint Stephen than they've ever heard in their entire I sure that's what happened. You know that that's what occurred because because the stones will cry out the word will not return void and I think one of the reasons one of the things that really hit me as you were reading doing your last library their Toby is and I and I have a little experience with this I I didn't one of the few independent faith based films I raised all the money for I produced it myself that got wide theatrical distribution and made a profit and paid back all of its investors. plus 15% all right. But but I can tell you now that we're beginning the process to fundraise for the next one. Yeah. You watch the you watch the wealthy on the other side. They just light much hundreds of millions of dollars on fire for movies that admit over and over again and storytelling over and over again. The American people have just demonstrated with box office receipts what's happened to Star Wars with with just what's going on now with super girl. What happened, you know, to he man over and over again. They don't want this stuff. They don't want it. Right. And yet they'll just keep spending that money over and over and over again because this is missional to them. That's right. They're going to give you content you don't want because that's the content they want you to have. No. And I got to tell you I don't know. You know, you know, go try to get a conservative donor to give you a hundred thousand dollars. Nationally let alone a hundred million to make, you know, a Pixar level movie. Good luck with that. Okay. Go try to get one that'll give you a hundred grand. And then not hit not have him demand that he makes a profit and checks in on that every quarter on how that's doing. Right. You just can't win a spiritual battle that way. That's just not how God's economy works. I'm not I'm not for lighting money on fire. I'm not for taking losses. You know, to make sure my investors got a profit the last movie nearly killed me twice. All right, to make sure they got they got their money back. But nevertheless, if you really believe in the cause and the mission, that was for a movie that we spent seven and a half million to make. The other side dies for movies. They spend hundreds of millions of dollars to make. No one goes and sees and next summer, they'll line up a whole bunch more that no one will go and see. Okay. And, you know, look at the way media works on the right. We have Fox that plays Gatekeeper. They're they're the overton window to decide how far right we're allowed to go. Meanwhile, on the other side, it doesn't matter. No one's watching CNN. No one is watching MSN DC. It doesn't matter. They still get all that all of those affinity advertising ever anyway. No. Their host are making every bit as much as the Fox News host are because they truly believe in what they're doing. Now, I am not suggesting we emulate their behavior. I don't want to create Christian Scott Wieners. And I don't think you can do that anyway. Okay. Because the Holy Spirit doesn't behave like that. But I would like to emulate some of their zealousness because I think they robbed it from us. And we used to be the people that just did the right thing. We're it's our book that says one plants and other waters. And then God gives the increase. Yeah. It's our book that says, you know what? You sit there and count up and start all the wealth you've stored up and think about the days now is going to arrive that you're going to rest and just eat drink and be merry for it. But you know what? You fool. You'll be dead in the morning and none of this will matter. It's our book that says things like that to our people. And yet our people demand our abs. Our people want our scrooge. But before he comes to repentance at the end, that's what our that's what a lot of our folks are like. Just myzers, just counting bills. All right. And meanwhile, the other side, Jeff Bezos is X X has spent $260 million dollars just funding doctrines of demons all over the world. More and Buffett spends that almost annually annually. And so there's just a different level of commitment on their side, frankly, they just believe more in what they believe. And that's why despite the fact we greatly outnumber them, that's why we've been totally outflanked in this last generation. That's true. You know, one of the, you know, to Steve's point is that it seems to me that the church is the one that's taken a lot of ambition from our men. The church is the one that, you know, I worked. Oh, that is so true. I don't mean interrupt, but you can always tell a lot about a church gave by what's, what does it have a men's ministry and what condition is it in? Because here's the thing about mobilizing men. We're not women. Newsflash. We're not women, right? And so for women who are relationally driven, men are task and significant driven. Doesn't mean we don't care about relationships, but it's not our primary drivers. And it doesn't mean that women don't care about tasks and and and significance, but relationship is their primary driver. And so the at when, when your wife says, I just need you to listen to me and not solve it, that relational contact, I'm still learning that after 30 years of marriage, by the way. All right, but that relational connection is meaningful to her, right? Just that, just that you're just there to be there for her in her corner, connecting with her on her level, that is meaningful for her. And so women are women love and find it productive. It's not just hamsters on a wheel to get together every week, every month and talk about, you know, the thing they're shortcomings and what their concerns about, you know, and just get things off their chest and sort of empty their relational tanks. They can go home and fill it back up again. That that is meaningful ministry for women. Men, we are not like that. So what'll happen is with your men's ministry, once or twice we'll get together and we'll we'll regret all the porn we're watching and all the terrible things we've said and all the time to yield at our kids. And then once we got that offer chest, then we're going to be like, okay, what are we going to do now? Oh, we're just going to get together and keep talking. Well, I got a laundromo. I got I got bills to pay. I got a car in the garage, you know, little league games to drive to. I mean, I don't have time for that. And so they don't want men's ministries because after the men purge their emotional baggage, the men will want marching orders. They will feel like, okay, well, someone's got to pay for what the world did to me and the and the and the and the you know, the the the what it took out of my backside. I want to pay the world back. All right. So I want to hit the world, the flesh and the devil. I want to punch back against that. And a lot of modern churches don't want those kinds of men's ministries because those pastors don't want to be challenged by the men to say, hey, there's a drag queen storytime hour at the library across the street. What are we going to do about it? Nothing. What am I doing here? Right? So you stay docile. You may you you you continue to just be a biological donor unit to the birthing process. You just continue to do that. And you stay docile. You don't lead. We'll make sure that the church is a feminized experience. We'll continue to castrate you because you might wonder why there's the pastor wearing a sweater vest in July and who I insured in January. It's utterly ridiculous. And what are we going to do about this? Yeah. Well, you know, I look at my I've said this in various various times different different places, but like, you know, I'm not someone who hates the church I grew up and I love the church I grew up and I'm just, you know, the the PCA is the nomination I grew up and I'm very grateful for them in some sense. I'm a Christian because of them today, but I remember so many in so many different ways where like masculinity was discouraged where ambition was kind of zapped out of me where I remember growing up and this would not just include the PCA, but like other evangelical churches as a part of two. But like, whenever I heard a sermon on making money, it was always about making sure if your rich be generous. And which is, of course, a good biblical principle. Paul talks about that. But I never heard the kind of sermons that were like, you know, if you're ambitious, you know, it needs to be godly ambition. If you desire to, you know, work hard and, and you know, start businesses and, you know, start media or whatever make a lot of money, like go do it and go do it well. You know, where's the parable, the talent where Christ is talking about if God gives you, you know, two talents, you need to turn it into four. God gives you a $25 million company, you need to turn into a $50 million company. You know, those were the, I mean, there's a certain kind of masculine godly ambition that needs to be discipled in as people, especially in our current context. And so because the church hasn't, I think, discipled a godly masculine ambition, we also have like this overreaching machoism that's happening across our nation and all these other ministries. I don't want to go that direction, but that's part of what's been zapped out of our men is like a real, this is why I was talking to a guy who runs a ministry called Dominion Mandate, just geared towards men. And he's a brother and he actually was part of a C.O.C. church down the floor to a long time ago. And his whole ministry is helping give men purpose again. Gabe, you know, one of the things I think that I've seen in this and I'm not taking anything away from what you're seeing. I think I want to build on it, but I want to add this to the conversation. A lot of us are trying to get something out of the church that we never got from home. And by God's mercy and grace, it's possible that that can happen. But I've watched people use Christian education and especially classical Christian education to do something for them that they were not willing to do in their own houses to raise their children. And so we have the ministers and the kind of preachers that we have because the home first validated them to be in the pulpit. And so I'm not going to just say that it's the church's fault. I'm going to say, yes, I agree with you. But where is dad at that supposed to be cultivating the kind of ambition in that young boy at the pastor then fans the flame of because there's a, again, I'm very great for church, but we've we've effeminized the church and even in some of this to where it has to be the the mom, the mommy that is always allowing the baby to suck on the nipple all the time. And it's like, no, it's supposed to be fan of flame. Get out there. You're doing a great job. Go get it. Tell me when you got some more. The home is supposed to be the thing that cultivates the kind of people that are geared that way. And pastors are spending so much of their time trying to make sure some of the basic necessities that the home is not doing. They're they're filling in gaps that they could never get to the more media your things because people aren't raising their children. They're they're ponding them off. And so those type of ambitious things that are supposed to be inside of your boys and your girls and that hunger in that fight. The church is doing father hunger sermons to try and supply a large portion of what we've abdicated towards. And so I am I'm with you. I agree. Like when the church sees that kitty wampus environment, they do have a responsibility to step in. But the reason is kitty wampus is because whatever is going on at home is not producing the kind of human beings that are fit for these other invite these other societal places. They're not fit for government because of how we treated our families and raise our kids in the home. They're not fit for offices, pastors. And so some of the pastors we have are just filling a hole for guys who we never raised well. And so if we are you know, you talked about earlier that the 250 years, what's next? We don't need another 250 years. We need if we can my boy right now, my oldest is 16. He'll be 17 this year. What can happen in the next 15 years of me dedicate my life to serving him and get put in him before the Lord can be radical to the to the outcome of what happens in America. And imagine if you had just I don't know a thousand churches doing that and not and and father's doing that. And what would happen? What would be the outcome of America in the next 30 years, right? And we take for granted just the foundation and responsibility of the home in order to be able to bring good citizens into the environment. And especially good pastors into the environment. And so yeah, it's at their feet, but man, we've created the father hunger. You know, I got plenty more to say about that. I'm sure Pastor Toby don't want me to take on his thunder. No, I don't want to stop you, man. I think you're absolutely right. I mean, I want to amen you and Steve and just in terms of, I think this is a, I mean, we have, God has established three governments among men, the family, the church and the state. And when one of them becomes the all-encompassing oppressive job of the hut, that's because the other two have abdicated. God intends for these three governments to have their own roles and their own lanes and their own spheres and they check one another. They are intended. It's intended by God for for families to say, no, we've got, we've got the ministry of health and welfare and education. So state, you don't need to do that. We're going to take care of grandma. We're going to take care of our kids. We're going to make sure our children are raised in the nurture and ambition of the Lord. And the church is entrusted with the ministry of the word and the sacraments and discipleship and church discipline. And they proclaim the word and they're telling the other governments what God says their jobs are and what their jobs are not. And who's in the kingdom and who's not and welcoming and and excommunicating. And the magistrate's job, the civil magistrate's job is to punish evil doers and protect law-abiding citizens. That's their job. That's it. But when the government is the one, you know, doing all the education, doing all the healthcare, doing all these other things, well, that tells you that the other two governments have failed. The church has failed to teach the nation what God says and the family has failed to actually do the things that God has said they're required to do. And so that's how you get and you know, late Middle Ages, late Middle Ages, we had an overweaning church. Right? Right. Roman Catholic Church. They became the job of the hut. Yep. And they were the ones oppressing the world. And Martin Luther and other reformers come along and the reformation is frequently called the magisterial reformation. Right. Because one of the fundamental things they reformed was actually the magistrate states. And what they were doing is I think for a long time when I heard that I just thought that meant it was a really great reformation. It was magisterial. But it actually, it was Martin Luther come along and said, princes, governors, you have authority from God to do your job and you don't need the permission of any pope, any cardinal, any pastor, anywhere. God has established your authority directly in his word. You can do your job. And of course, the same thing was true of family government parents. You have the authority from God. You don't need the permission of any pastor. You don't need the permission of any government. You can do your job because God has said your job is to provide for your family. Raise your children in the nurture and avenge the Lord. Take care of grandma. Like that's your job. Your job is to take care of the health, the welfare and the education of families to build generational wealth to build productive households. Like that's your job and you don't need anybody's permission to do it. And that's directly from God. And we need a recovery, I think of those reformation principles. And I think as Steve was saying earlier, I think when God gives us reformation, when God, and I believe he will, I believe he will, he's going to give us that kind of reformation. It's not, it's not going to be the, you know, flashing the pan, you know, just, you know, the lighting, the gasoline on fire, the lighter fluid on fire, fire, and then it's just gone and out. It's going to be a change and it's going to be something like an army of men saying, we are taking responsibility for our families and our great-grandkids are going to walk with the Lord and they are going to have households that are productive and well off because they obey God, because they're honest, because they're men and women of integrity. And we don't need anybody's permission. We don't need anybody's permission to do that. We don't need, we don't need Matt Chandler's permission. We don't need, we don't need the government's permission. We're just going to do it. So let me let Steve have the last word. I want you guys to hang around because Steve's got to go. He's got date night tonight. So, oh good, yeah, you better go. You better get going. We save America right there, baby. I just want to echo an amen. Everything that Toby just said. And I think the key word, if fact, if I could, and I like everything that Nox just said too, I mean, ultimately, the church can't make a man docile unless he wants to be. Okay. Unless he wants to be. Right. And you just sitting there every single Sunday and accepting that docility is indicative that you have the same reaction to the sin in your midst that Adam had as he watched his wife get to get to see. You know, I know how he did it, you know, not wearing any clothes. He's got his hands in his proverbial pockets like not my problem, you know, what you're going to do. Apparently nothing. I mean, only we're just giving him in and over the universe. So apparently you're going to do nothing with it, you know. And so I think ultimately, the key phrase though of this entire conversation and everything that everybody I think is eloquently said is what you just the phrase you just used Toby admitted to go without permission. That's without permission. The term dominion has come up here like three times in various contexts from a library to other references. And ultimately, that was given to us by the creator of the universe. And it wasn't with the caveat of worldly or fleshly or demonic permission to access it or to act upon it. We are we are to do so on behalf of our heavenly father under his mandate, regardless of those three entities and the consequences that may come as a result, because that's one way that we demonstrate that we don't fear the one who can destroy the body, but we fear the one that can do that and also cast the soul into hell, right? And so I think it's it's just time for men in general. Under control, of course, you know, meet this power under control. We do it under control, right? But under control, I think it is just time for men of God to begin acting on behalf of God without permission. My man, he told Amy, we said thank you. Yes. Happy fourth. Happy fourth. Happy fourth, everyone. God bless. So so nox, how are you, you know, not just to like be criticized, not to criticize, you know, how are you playing on like celebrate the fourth? How are you thinking about kind of that you said the next 15 years, next 30 years, you know, you know, with where America's I feel like America's kind of in a funny spot, because I do see good things happening. I do see you kind of reformation and revival. I do see some positive things. Obviously, you know, even Charlie Kirk's funeral was really encouraging. We see I think a lot of men starting to wake up on a raise their kids, take their kids out of public school. We are seeing some of that. So but I'll just see the Democrats making gains or going more socialistic or, you know, New York doubling down. So, you know, give it to me. They don't matter. I think we got to get that out of our head. We got to stop acting like somebody else worshiping their false god matters to people who worship the true god. You better preach. They don't matter. Do you understand? So that's that's one of the things that I've been passersive. You were talking. I was like, I'm sorry, say what? I just said preach. Oh, um, there are three things that I wrote down. That I have been thinking about for actually five years. One of the pastors, I can't remember his name right now. He's going to be so mad. The guy who made us that wonderful coffee. I hate number for getting his game. Pastor Jeffries. Oh, yeah. Yeah. Um, he remember while ago he came in. He was doing the call conference and he talked about Nehemiah. I'd never forgotten that conversation because it was radical to me to think about what happened. Nehemiah, here's about the wall toward down. He goes and lament and pours out his soul before the Lord. And he does this for 50 was it four months. He did it for four months, crying out and fasting and praying and lamenting that God's name had been rammed sat amongst the people and blasphemed and then after four months of going before the Lord, he goes to start building the wall and it takes some 52 days. Like that's the math equation. When you were talking about the next 250 years, I'm just like, can we get some people for four months to do three things? Morning and labor before the Lord because of his name, sank fast and praying some way and then repent. Can we can we think of like if we can do those because I was thinking about the one of the first things in there is the morning aspect is something that I don't know if we people are sad to see other people lose their lives are sad to see that America might be falling apart. But I hear very little talk about people saying that God's name is at stake the way that the nation who loved the Lord has turned its back on him. That is not the political talking point of our pundits. That is not the main line that's the throughput of our communication. It's like it will get worse, we'll get overrun. Like what about the name of God? Is that the thing that's causing you to mourn and lament that his name is being made little of with the nation that he made great? That should be the thing that's driving our focus. Not just America in and of itself, but we've taken we've taken God out of the America focus. I'm doing the Matt Chan with it. Stop that. But we we've taken I'm not going to do that. We've taken God out and focused on America and tried to get America fixed without God and people aren't making God's law and God's command and God's worship the central point that is the thing we should be mourning and lamenting. And I was listening in the second thing was I was listening to a book and the book said any honor that is not publicly showed is no honor at all. I thought that was a radical thought because I think because of our not thinking in America, we like to think that we care about God's things but then we don't show it. Right? So when it comes to like fasting and prayer and giving ourselves to the Lord, the fasting aspect is what are you doing physically that focuses on the fact that you are concerned about God and putting your mind on it? I heard a pastor talk about this. The fasting with the way that they have thought about this was that it caused your mind to focus on the things that are most important to you in the situation and asking God and focusing on him to come and deal with this. So your hunger drove you to prayer. It drove you to the focus point. So the hunger triggered to say, I'm hungry. You know what? I'm hungry for this nation to be transformed and repent and believe in God. And the third thing was just when we are confessing our sins, we are confessing our sins first and foremost the ones that we have because that's where the real block and hindrances. And so if we're going to see revival, I think those three things have to be the thing that triggers it. I'll admit for a fallen nation has to be because of God's name is at stake here. The second thing has to be that what are we physically going to do as we are focusing our mind to tell the Lord that we're serious about this? We haven't begun the work yet. We're talking about what are we doing? And the last thing is repenting of our sins and calling for others to join us in the process. We got to take responsibility for our brothers too. When we have those three things, I think there is a process of work that the Lord will expedite. And I don't think there has to be, I can already hear everybody being like, Oh, no, because you don't want to do any work. You just want to do all the praying. First of all, I'm telling you what the Bible said. Take it up with God. That's how he did it. That's how Nia Maya did it. And if it worked for Nia Maya, he served with that God. I served that God. You should be serving that God. That's how that God works. Doing his way because sometimes we'll grab a hold of things and then we'll end up getting ourselves in trouble. Right? And so anyway, that's that's what I'm thinking about Gabe. I've been thinking a lot about how do I do those things in the places that I have authority and control of? If I at work, are we repenting of our sins? Are we concerned about all the elements that we operate in? Of course, we want to serve our customers, but we want to serve our customers because God said, this is what it looks like to honor me in another part in the image of me. Right? Another person in my image, this is how you honor them. If you want to bless ends of God, you have to do what God says. He's the one's name is at stake. I don't want to save America for America's sake. I want America to be saved because it repented before God and his name is made great. I said a lot. I think if you know, we often apply Gideon's army to fighting battles and God kind of reducing the size down to bring him glory. And to show Gideon, God's power, God's strength. And in some sense, it's like, you know, I just want to see 300 men repent. I want to see what what does that army look like to your point, Knox? We don't need you know, all of California, all of New York to get things right to change. You know, we just you know, we're talking about Steve and you guys like we just need small churches to repent. You know, we just need those churches who are waking up and get it and understand and God bringing man, you know, rural, rural Southern Baptist churches, reformation revival. Yeah, that's not like trouble. It's kind of like trouble is because what do you mean you like like trouble? You know, you guys have heard me say this playing time before, but we need a COVID 2.0. Yeah, because it was really easy to see things very clearly. Who's open? Like when when trouble came and it was like, who's going to worship the Lord? It became very clear. And it wasn't a whole lot of people, right? And but that started to make even the people who weren't Christians start to wake up and say, maybe the government isn't God. Maybe we have been, you know, lulled to sleep in some way. And so when trouble comes, I think, you know, I don't like it, but at some level of persecution makes you have to say, forgot I live, forgot I died. Blessed be the name of the Lord. Now, who side of you on? You know, it pulls out and say, this is it makes you wake up. And I'm not asking God to give us trouble, but I am asking God to make sure to bring us alive. Wake us up. And I saw a COVID was a form of doing that. I mean, so many things I was so happy that COVID happened because people started pulling their kids out of government schools. People started homeschooling. People started seeing the education system. There was a the whole transgender thing. I mean, this month, I don't know about you. I heard nothing about Pride month. I didn't even heard Pride month even mentioned, right? Like, it just there was so many moments that people begin to see. And I really make it a can too, the people who stood up and decided to go to worship had clear stage to make the claim that God is sovereign. He controls when we meet and when we don't. And if we have communion and if we put something on our face or not, not the government. And it seems like we have some reprieve. And everybody's gotten comfortable. I mean, I hear people talk about this all the time. Man, it's not that I don't want a Republican president. It's just that I don't want the people who feel comfortable because we have one. Right. And trouble reminds you think about a gay, but you know, somebody who is not healthy and they say, Hey, man, look, you're going to die in three weeks if you don't work out. Guess what they start doing? Yep. And it's like you had the opportunity all along the workout, but until trouble came, you didn't think it was that important. And by the grace, I think trouble is a grace from God to wake people up to say, you're right, Lord, I have been wrong. Right? Like, and you see this a lot of time, the Old Testament, he will remove his sense of grace from people in order to get them to understand that they've taken for granted his blessings. Right. I don't want to be there. I don't want to get there. But that might be I thought COVID was a good enough wake up call. You know, your point, Knox is really well taken. It's, you know, the Nehemiah example of the great heartbreak that God's name is being blasphemed. And that flip side of that is just the reminder that of course, God tells us in his word that the thing that he is most determined to do is glorify the name of Jesus Christ. Like the thing that he is going to do is he is, he is all of history is arcing to every me bowing. That's right. And every tongue confessing that Jesus Christ is Lord to the glory of God, the Father. Like that's the arc of human history. And so God has already told us that he's determined to do whatever it takes to get every need a bow and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, that Jesus Christ is risen from the dead, that Jesus Christ is Lord and King of this world. And so, and so that's the other side of that. It's so like like we know that what God is determined to do is whatever it takes that everybody acknowledges that Jesus Christ is Lord. And right now, Jesus's name is being blasphemed because we are a nation. We are the nation on planet earth that is most known for Christian nation. I know. And so, and so we are the one taking the Lord's name in vain. We are the one bearing it and mocking it by our stateism, by our corruption, by our multiculturalism, by all, you know, all of those things. We are, we're just standing it. We're blasphemy. And so mourning that is exactly right. And at the same time pleading with God to glorify his name. Yes. Like God, we want your name glorified. Do what it takes to glorify it. That's the flip side. And, and then, and then I think what ties right into directly with what you guys are also saying is the fact that, um, yeah, we don't need numbers. We don't need, God doesn't need numbers. In fact, one of the, in Joshua, Joshua promises the people as he's like urging them to take the land. He says with God's blessing, one of you will chase a thousand. One of you will chase a thousand. And then if you go back to Deuteronomy, the warning was, but if you do not obey God, if you turn away from God, one of them will chase a thousand of you. And then, and then, and then Moses says, and, and when that happens, when one of them chase a thousand of you, he says, how will that happen? Except that our God has forsaken us. Our, our rock has forsaken us. So, like, so that's, that's the answer. I mean, like, you think about the fact that like, the American colonies had no business ever winning the war for independence. 90 a little bit. That's right. Not even a little bit. We had no business. Okay. The British Empire had the greatest military in the world. There is no reason. Yeah. While, and, and then if you read a little bit more about like the crazy politics going on during the war for independence, it's insane. We were not, we were barely united. Yeah. There was infighting. There's stories about how actually there were bands of militias in the colonies that at various points actually joined the British and fought against the Americans and like, I mean, it was just, it was all kinds of messy. And God says, watch this. Watch this. I can take a rag tag bunch of, you know, backhills, presbyterians and congregationalists. You don't know what they're doing that are, that are so desperate that at some point, like they're running out of like, you know, the paper they need to fire their muskets. And one of the pastors says, here guys, start ripping out pages of your salters. Like, that's how important they are. But all they, what do they got? They got salters. And like, so God doesn't need our numbers. God doesn't need our money. God doesn't, doesn't need any of it. Now, he wants us to be faithful. He wants us to be faithful because we want to honor his name. You know, that's all we need is his blessing. Like, all we need is if we have his blessing, nothing can stop it. Nothing can stop it. And he loves to do it in ways where it is completely insane. Because the whole point of it is at the end of it, we know the goal is that everybody says, this was God. And you read the founding fathers. I mean, you even read the barely Christian founding fathers. You read Thomas Jefferson and Benjamin Franklin and they even say, right, this nation exists because God in heaven did something. This nation exists because God is, it's his providence. It's his mighty working. All of this is, like, we didn't do this. This was God. This was God. And whatever God is going to do next in this nation, it's going to be along those lines. Because God has determined to do it in a way that everybody says, Jesus Christ is Lord. That's the only way it's going to happen. But we can start by saying, Jesus Christ is Lord. You can start by living that way right now without permission from anybody. Amen. Jesus Christ is Lord. Man, I don't have any music because I usually, I got to get a lot of music and set up. I did not the music. I would use it. But if you're single, get married. If you married, have you a bunch of kids. If you have those kids, go baptize them until next time. Love God with all your heart. Soul mind and strength. Love your neighbor as yourself. Go fight, laugh and feast. This is cross-polite. Hey, hey, hold on. Go, go, go, go, go, go. We're not done. We can't end without, I want to make sure. You want to say happy birthday. I want to say, no, I want to say something about our conference. Oh, yeah. I thought you were going to talk about the next doc that we had coming out. But that's okay. You can talk about the conference as well. Well, no, it's, it's, um, fight, laugh, feast. We, we, we, we fight, laugh, feast. Twenty-twenties. It's in Franklin, Tennessee. Yes. One, two and three. And, um, and, um, we want you there. If you're watching this, if you're listening to this, we, we want you there. Tell your friends. Last year, I, people came up to me and were like, hey, I didn't hear about this till September. Um, why weren't you advertising? I don't know how the algorithms work. But I'm just saying like, if you're going to be there, um, I want to ask you to tell your friends. Um, I want to ask you to share the conference website, share the cross-politic, ads that are going out, the fight, laugh, feast ads that are going out. Tell your friends, tell your family, tell your church. Um, I think Gabe extended the early bird. Yes. So we, we, I made it. Registration. I can't even decision it without you guys. The last is it all, but it's fine. It's America's 250th. And then what better way to, uh, right? America's 250 is extending a discount. I'll fight that piece this year. More threats. Say, yeah. So, um, we, so, uh, go to fight left feast.com. F-L-F network.com. Uh, the theme this year is holy wars. And, and actually it ties directly into all of this that we've been talking about. It's all about the need for us to, um, we have to recover a true understanding of the holiness of God. Uh, we, we, we presented kind of the central thesis in our recent synodoc called holy wars. If you haven't caught that, check it out on YouTube, check it out in the, in the feed, check it out on, uh, on the app, fight, laugh, feast app. Holy wars is, is the most recent synodoc. And that's kind of the thesis of the whole conference. But we have to recover a sense of the holiness of God. And that's the point of this whole thing that we've been talking about is if we have gods blessing. I mean, you know, we start out the synodoc talking about the holiness of God in, in a burning bush at the foot amount Sinai. And how God takes that old man with a stick and sends him in. Again, talk about the greatest empire on earth at that time. The empire, the Egyptian empire and a rag tag bunch of slaves marches out of that empire. Several months or whatever later with that empire in ruins, because they had the holiness of God because they had gods blessing with them. And that's what we need. We need a recovery of that. And we weren't even at faithful. The day God's blessing. Oh, no. I mean, you guys, you guys have heard me say this before, but it's, it's a remarkable thing. Years ago, I was reading, I preached the book of Exodus. And it just was, it was startling to me. But the word for armies is the word Saba oath. It's translated hosts, Lord of hosts, Yahweh, Saba oath. It means Lord of armies, God of armies. It's used, I think, either four or five times in the book of Exodus. Yeah. And it always refers to Israel. Yeah. It never once is used to describe what Pharaoh has. Pharaoh has chariots. Pharaoh has horsemen. Pharaoh has soldiers. And Pharaoh has a word that you can be translated as might. Yeah. Pharaoh got no armies. Only the Lord has armies. And his armies are a rag tag. Bunch of slaves that fuss and complain. And God says, yes, I'm taking you. I'm using you. And he marches them out. And it says they march out according to their armies, according to their regiments, like a conquering army. Even though they fussed and complain most of the way. And the crucial thing they did at the end was put blood over their doors. And the angel of death passed over. And then they marched out a conquering army. That's the potency of God's blessing and God's holiness. And we want you at the conference. Bring your family. Bring your friends. Bring your enemies. That's right. Go to fightladfeeze.com. Click on more sign up there. We also have our pre-business makers conference happening that in third day afternoon. Bearing so long, we end the conference.
