- 0:47Hey, y'all, welcome to today's show. I want to get into some
- 1:03well makes some solutions today. You know, things are going really bad in
- 1:10the world. I mean, you only have to turn the news to understand
- 1:14that we have a senile, desiccated moron in the White House who blasphemously calls
- 1:21himself Catholic, who's steering our country straight to hell. We have the press
- 1:27where the precipice of World War three with Russia and China. People including one
- 1:34of my very best friends, are in grave danger in Ukraine. One of
- 1:38my very very best friends lives in Odessa and is facing bombing on daily basis.
- 1:45And her son has just about he's recently turned eighteen and he's in college
- 1:55and any day he's probably gonna be forced to go fight for his country.
- 2:01And yeah, it's not good, not good at all. You know,
- 2:07I don't support what I guess, was it Lindsey Graham has said fight to
- 2:13the last Ukrainian or is that just I don't know, maybe that's a euphemism
- 2:16someone made about something he said. But pouring money into Ukraine to prolong the
- 2:23war, you know, President Trump would have prevented this war. He would
- 2:28have brought the two sides to the table and worked out a negotiation because he
- 2:30told Putin straight out he Newton Moscow if he ever invaded Ukraine. Biden and
- 2:37Lindsey Graham and them there they I don't think they my opinion only I don't
- 2:43know what their minds are. I think they're glad to see this war go
- 2:46on until the last Ukrainian because they get a whole lot of money from defense
- 2:51contractors. They have a whole lot And again that's just my opinion. I
- 2:57believe they get a whole lot of money from defense contractors. I should say
- 3:00that. I don't have evidence. I'm not making any accusations, but they
- 3:04don't seem any hurry to end this war. Put it that way here in
- 3:12America. You know, yesterday we had a ballot proposition in Ohio that would
- 3:20have helped protect the unborn children, and the Democrats got their vote out.
- 3:25All these college educated women went out and voted to kill babies, and we
- 3:31lost. We lost by tremendous numbers. If President Trump is not re elected,
- 3:43I don't honestly believe we'll ever have a real election again in America.
- 3:47It is so corrupted. They're stealing everything and it's bad, and I mean
- 3:53on a more personal level. You know, another one of my friends is
- 3:57losing her house, and one of my very good friends who's just in a
- 4:02horrendous car accident and miracle he's survived, but he's lost his vision and they're
- 4:11hoping, you know, the brain swelling him go down and you know,
- 4:15they can do some surgeries and he'll be able to see again, but that
- 4:20kind of tramagic brain injury, he's not going to just go away without a
- 4:26miracle. So I would ask everyone to pray we'll happenup for three of my
- 4:30friends, Julium Elkova in Ukraine and her family, Elisa Bernelly in Italy who's
- 4:40losing losing her house and facing major legal battles. And Jim McDermott here in
- 4:47North Carolina, who has two young daughters and his life will never be a
- 4:55saying barring a miracle. So we need to pray for a miracle. So
- 5:01we're going to get into some prayers you can say that will actually make a
- 5:06difference in this world. Our weaponry as Christians is prayer. But before we
- 5:15do that, let's go with the radio replies. You know, I'd like
- 5:18to quote from this classic book from the nineteen thirties to start every show,
- 5:23because it's just simple apologetics. Today, the priests are questioned if the soul
- 5:32is immortal, and they say, yes, the body is naturally immortal.
- 5:36The soul, by its very nature is immortal. Further, the person asks,
- 5:41what indications do you have that the soul is immortal, that the soul
- 5:46will and indeed must survive. The death of the body is demonstrated demonstrable by
- 5:50many points of view. Firstly, it's a central structure for bids dissolution by
- 5:56death. Death is the disintegration of parts. Only composite things can die.
- 6:01Yet the soul is not composite. It is power of pure immage. Its
- 6:08power of pure immaterial thought proves its independence of matter. It is endowed with
- 6:14spiritual faculties and is as spiritual as the faculties it possesses, which will enable
- 6:19it to live and operate when separated from the body. Not being material,
- 6:24it can never be destroyed or fall to pieces like matter, Nor would God
- 6:29endow it with a nature essentially fitted to live on just for an idol,
- 6:36just for an idle meaning, and with the intention of annihilating it after all.
- 6:42Secondly, every individual experiences a sense of moral obligation, and every obligation
- 6:47demands sufficient sanction. If the state said this is the law, and I
- 6:53replied, what if I did not observe it, then it would be ludicrous.
- 6:56With the state is supplied to reply, oh, well, thenough would
- 7:00happen? I only say that it is the law. If you break it,
- 7:03you break it. I suppose, well, that would be a joke
- 7:05and not a law. I know that I shall have to answer someday from
- 7:09my attitudes toward the interior sense of moral obligation. I can go right through
- 7:15this life without encountering anyone capable of judging me concerning it. The real answer
- 7:19must be given at the judgment seat of God, and my soul will have
- 7:24to be there. Consequently, it must survive. Thirdly, a more universal
- 7:29view of human life shows that the many inequalities which offend against the sense of
- 7:33justice, we know that justice will be done someday, and is not always
- 7:40done in this life. It will be done in the next. This implies
- 7:43our perseverance, and therefore are living on after death. Fourthly, every soul
- 7:48naturally has an insatiable natural desire for happiness and for lasting happiness. No earthly
- 7:56or temporal good can satisfy this hunger. Yet, this innate tendency, Yet,
- 8:01this innate natural tendency cannot lack its rightful object as well, try to
- 8:09as well, try to conceive the existence of the human eye, perfectly adapted
- 8:11to sight, yet without the possibility of light anywhere to enabled to see reflection.
- 8:18Then, upon the simple structure of the soul, upon the future administration
- 8:22of the sanctions attached to moral law, and upon the rectification of worldwide inequalities,
- 8:28and upon the teleological inclinations to a lasting, imperfect good, make it
- 8:33a violation of reason to deny the survival of the soul. The person answers
- 8:41the idea of sanctioned proportion to the individual sense of moral obligation. Must less
- 8:46influence upon men than your religious people think. They answer, I admit that
- 8:52it has much less influence it should have, but they're not thinking of it
- 8:56does not alter the fact, the person continues, it has no real bearing
- 9:03on morality, and if anything would have a bad influence making men cowards.
- 9:05Well, they answer to that, since there is a future life, it
- 9:09has a lot to do with morality. Man is endowed with reason and is
- 9:13bound to exercise sight Foresight. The future as such, whether here or hereafter,
- 9:20is a reasonable motive for the present conduct. For present conduct, I
- 9:24refrain from eating certain foods now because reason tells me that the future that in
- 9:30the future indigestion will result. That is reasonable conduct. I try to refrain
- 9:35from morally wrong conduct because it is wrong. It offends God and is a
- 9:39personal disgrace, and will wreck my whole future existence if I persist in it,
- 9:43dying without repentance. All these motives are good. If the nobler motive
- 9:50fails to impress me in a given temptation, the thought of hell at least
- 9:54will tend to stop me. You will say, so you are afraid of
- 9:58hell? Our of course, I am knowing that hell is a reality any
- 10:03sane man will live, so is avoid going there. It is not cowardice
- 10:07cowardice, but ordinary prudence. If a man leaps for his life off a
- 10:11railway line as an express tears passed the spot where he was standing, you
- 10:18would not go up to him and tap him the shoulder and say you are
- 10:22a coward. You just jump for your life through sheer fear, of that
- 10:24trade. God gave us our reason that we might use it for our well
- 10:30being, and is quite reasonable to way both the advantages and penalties attached to
- 10:33the moral law. Nor is this influence probably to the bad. The knowledge
- 10:39that retribution will follow violations of the moral law makes that law a real law.
- 10:45Could we say that all the penalties attached to the laws of the state
- 10:48are to the bad? Thousands of temptations to crime are resisted by citizens because
- 10:54of the thought of future penalties. Nor does it matter much whether the penalty
- 10:58be future by weeks and in this life or by some years and in the
- 11:03next life. The principle was the same. So I think we could sum
- 11:09all that up and saying, yes, the soul lasts forever, because the
- 11:13soul is not subject to corruption. The body is subject to corruption. The
- 11:18soul is not the soul of a man in his nineties, near his death,
- 11:22when he can barely walk and his muscles are weak, and his skin
- 11:24is sagging, and he can barely breathe, and he doesn't even think clearly
- 11:30or remember very well, is unfazed. But it's his physical condition. It's
- 11:37the same soul he had when he was one years old, a newborn baby,
- 11:41ready to grow and learn and take on everything. His intellect will adapt
- 11:48in learning, grow, but his soul is the same. The soul will
- 11:52live on after the body, because the soul is not affected by the condition
- 11:56of the body. And as they said, justice necessitates that there'd be a
- 12:01reckoning for our deeds if there be such thing as justice. And if there's
- 12:05no such thing as justice, if there's no such thing as morality, there's
- 12:09no such thing as law or good and evil, right and wrong whatsoever.
- 12:15And yet every people who's ever lived on the face of the earth, every
- 12:18tribe, and every corner, has had certain moral ideas and laws and rules.
- 12:26The very fact that it is a human need to establish justice necessitates that
- 12:35there must be justice. It's like the lock necessitates the key. You can't
- 12:43have a lock without a key, otherwise you can't unlock it. You know,
- 12:48you could build a lock without a key, but it would be very
- 12:52useless and eventually someone would have to build a key to unlock that lock,
- 12:54to open that door. And that's you know, it's just the way humans
- 13:00are wired. Yeah. It also kind of goes back to the old what
- 13:09was it saying Augustine's bargain. I think it may have been Aristotle. You
- 13:13know, I mentioned another show I quoted it. I got into detail with
- 13:16it that if there is a god and you bet against there being a god,
- 13:26you have everything to lose. If there is a god and you've bet
- 13:30for there being a god, you have everything to gain. If there's no
- 13:33god, you bet against him, you have nothing to lose. And if
- 13:37you bet for him, you have nothing to gain. So anyway you place
- 13:41your bet, the only position that will do you any good is believing there
- 13:48is a god, Because if there be a God and you deny his existence
- 13:56and you live in unbelief and you violate his laws, you have the potential
- 14:03if you're wrong, of suffering eternal damnation and suffering. And if there's a
- 14:09God and you follow his rules and believe in him, you're probably gonna have
- 14:15a pretty peaceful, good life on this earth. That would prevent a lot
- 14:18of people from robbing and raping and murder and all that. It tends toward
- 14:26adjust and ordered society, and you have to look forward to eternity and paradise
- 14:33with perfect happiness. So anyway you look at it, doesn't know you knew
- 14:41whole lot of good to deny what every person, every well, what every
- 14:48culture on earth from the beginning of time to this day is believed in one
- 14:52shape or form. If you think you're so much smarter than every person who's
- 14:58ever walked on this earth, from the first man to the greatest geniuses and
- 15:03minds of all time to the present day, there's not one single people or
- 15:09culture that has ever rejected the existence of God who did not believe in religion.
- 15:16You know, until we get to modernity, which is still a very
- 15:22small minority within the culture, and I pray to God it will be even
- 15:28as misguided as our culture is. The majority of Americans believing God, the
- 15:33majority of Canadians believing God. And if you think you're smarter than the sum
- 15:39total of all mankind for the last ten million years, that's an extreme form
- 15:46of arrogance and it's not going to get you anywhere good in this life or
- 15:50the next. So now we've talked about faith, So what do you put
- 15:54our faith in. One of the things we can definitely put our faith in
- 15:58is the intercession of the blessed Virgin Mary. She has interceded and performed miracles
- 16:06throughout the last two thousand years foreshadowed throughout the Old Testament. We pray to
- 16:15Jesus, and we ask the saints and the angels, and especially his Mother
- 16:21to pray to Jesus with us, and to ask us things on our behalf,
- 16:26because the Bible said, God's here's the prayers of the righteous. And
- 16:30we know one thing for sure, the righteous the people in heaven are righteous.
- 16:34They're in heaven because they're righteous and full of faith. And the Blessed
- 16:41Virgin Mary is the most righteous and faithful of all time because she was conceived
- 16:45without original sin and chosen to be the Mother of God. No one else
- 16:49in the entire history of the universe has that honor. And I got well
- 16:56way into this last week talking about devotion to the Blessed Virgin Mary. Let's
- 17:03look at a few of her promises. When I say we can do some
- 17:07real good in this world by saying prayers, well, let's look at some
- 17:11of the promises from Fatima. When when our Blessed Mother appeared at Fatima,
- 17:15she get fifteen promises to Christians who recite the Rosary. I pray the Rosary
- 17:19daily. It took a few years to get used to doing that, and
- 17:26now you know, seldom a day goes by when I don't pray the Rosary.
- 17:30I would have to be very sick or just completely distracted. And I
- 17:36can't remember the last time I did. I'm not I'm not saying I won't
- 17:38miss it at some point. You know, I'm certainly flawed and prone to
- 17:44mistakes. But it's made a huge difference in my life. It has become
- 17:48sort of an anchor around which my day revolves. If I don't pray the
- 17:52Rosary, I I don't feel peaceful. So but what is it mean beyond
- 18:00that? Well, it's a very efficacious prayer for one thing, where we're
- 18:03meditating on the life of Jesus, as the article I cited last week said,
- 18:11with the one witness to every moment of his life. Yeah, we're
- 18:15praying with the blessed Virgin Mary her fifteen promises when she appeared at Fatima.
- 18:22One, whoever shall faithfully serve me by recitation the Rosaries shall receive signal graces.
- 18:30Two. I promised my special protection and the greatest graces to all who
- 18:34shall recite the Rosary. Those two promises in and of themselves would be well
- 18:38worth it. I mean it takes what ten fifteen minutes, and I put
- 18:42it in Latin. It was a good way. It helped me learn Latin.
- 18:45You know. Anyway you pray it though, just fine, just fine.
- 18:52Three. The rosary should be a powerful armor against hell. It will
- 18:56destroy vice, decrease sin, and defeat heresies. Now, when I say
- 19:00we have weapons in this fight against the evil in this world, that is
- 19:04one of the main ones. Because it's not just a personal promise, she
- 19:08says, it will a power of arm will gets hell. I guess for
- 19:11the individual. But it will destroy vice, decrease sin, and defeat heresies.
- 19:15It's very important throughout our world. It will cause virtue and good works
- 19:21to flourish. It will obtain for souls the abundant mercy of God. It
- 19:25will draw the hearts of men from love of the world and its fantasties.
- 19:30It will lift them to the desire of eternal things. All its souls would
- 19:33sanctify themselves by this means. That's another promise, most of the person who
- 19:37prays it, and for the whole world. Five. Another personal one.
- 19:42The soul that recommends itself to me by recitation of the Rosary shall not perish.
- 19:48Six, whoever shall recite the Rosary devoutly, applying himself to the consideration
- 19:53of its sacred mysteries, shall never be conquered by misfortune. God will not
- 19:57chastise him in his justice. He should not perish by an unprovided death.
- 20:03If he be just, he shall remain in the grace of God and become
- 20:07worthy of eternal life. Another personal promise, which is again just, that
- 20:15one promise is worth taking ten fifteen minutes out of your day. Seven who
- 20:19showever shall have a true devotion for the Rosary, shall not die without the
- 20:23sacraments of the Church. Every Catholic should hope, hopefully does hope to receive
- 20:30last rites. And it's the Viaticum. It's the Eucharist. The body and
- 20:36blood of Christ is the food for the journey and in this next life.
- 20:40And if we die in a state of grace, having received the sacraments as
- 20:44our surest path to heaven. Eight, those who are faithful in recite of
- 20:49the Rosary shall have during their life and death the light of God and the
- 20:53plenitude of His graces. At the moment of death, they shall participate in
- 20:57the merits of the saints and peri dice. It means, at the moment
- 21:02of death, all the prayers and the good that the saints did in their
- 21:07life and continue to do in their afterlife will be applied to us. That
- 21:11would balance the scales against our own personal failings and sins. Beyond belief,
- 21:17beyond measure nine, I shall deliver from purgatory those who have been devoted to
- 21:25the Rosary. You know, again, what a fantastic promise ken the faithful
- 21:34children at the Rosary show merrit a high degree of glory in heaven. Now
- 21:41that's something I can't explain, you know. Jesus explained that they're those who
- 21:47are more holy and more devout receive a higher glory in heaven, a greater
- 21:52joy that's beyond my understanding. So I'll be glad if I just barely limp
- 22:02across the threshold and find a little corner on the floor, I'll I'll be
- 22:08happy. Number eleven, You shall obtain all you ask of me by the
- 22:12recitation of the Rosary. Our blessed Mother is a powerful intercessor. Her prayers
- 22:18on her behalf. Just as when she said to Jesus at the wedding feast
- 22:25of Cana, they have no wine, and Jesus said, it's not my
- 22:29time yet. I'm not ready to reveal myself. Because she asked, he
- 22:32provided the wine. Our Lord will never never refuse the request of his blessed
- 22:37mother. A lot of our prayers go on answered unanswered. I mean,
- 22:41that's true. I don't care what anyone says. Some people deny that.
- 22:45A lot of my prayers have gone unanswered, probably more than have been answered.
- 22:52The prayers of the blessed Virgin Mary never go unanswered. So when you
- 22:56ask her to pray for her, and you ask her to pray for you,
- 23:00you know your prayers are gonna be answered. Number twelve, All of
- 23:06those who propagate the Holy Rosary shall be aided by Me and their necessities.
- 23:11That's similar to the last thirteen. I have obtained from my divine son.
- 23:17That all the advocates of the Rosary shall have for intercessors the entire Celestial Court
- 23:22during their life, at the hour of their death, the entire host of
- 23:26Heaven, all the angels saints praying for us during life and the death.
- 23:33That's yeah, that's more than anyone could ever ask for. And that's just
- 23:41a blessing God gives us Fourteen, All who recite the Rosary are my sons
- 23:48and brothers of my only son, Jesus Christ. Jesus sit on the cross.
- 23:52Man, Behold your mother, Woman, behold your son. Through the
- 23:57Rosary we draw into that relation ship and fifteen. Devotion to my Rosary is
- 24:03a great sign of predestination. Predestination is the concept that God has disposed certain
- 24:11souls or put us in the right place at the right time to receive the
- 24:15Gospel and believe in Jesus Christ, a sign that we are predestined for heaven,
- 24:21which our free will can still turn against. We can refuse the gift
- 24:26that's freely given, the gift of grace. But we were put in this
- 24:30place at this time. I mean, imagine, ten million years of human
- 24:33history didn't have what we have now. Four thousand years of Jewish history didn't
- 24:41have what we have now. Those of us who are here now that have
- 24:45access to the sacraments of the Church and a way to learn about and believe
- 24:48in Jesus Christ and access the prayers of the angels and saints, and especially
- 24:52the blessed George and Mary, are in the most the most fortuitous position of
- 25:03all humanity. Throughout history. Those who came before us would have given anything
- 25:08to live in this day and time and have access to the sacraments of the
- 25:12Church and the knowledge of God that we take for granted. You know,
- 25:18praying the Rosary is a sign that we're in the right place and doing the
- 25:23right thing, if you want to look at it that way. Now,
- 25:26I'm going to give you another prayer. And there are many more prayers.
- 25:30Oh, I mean, there's a Divine Mercy chaplet is a great weapon against
- 25:33evil. The devotion to the Holy Face of Jesus, which I've talked about
- 25:41quite a bit, promises that it will defeat communism and atheism. Our blessed
- 25:48Mother also promised that through the Rosary, in her immaculate heart, the entire
- 25:55world would be saved. Well, Jesus always comes through Mary. That's her
- 26:03role, and that's how he chose to do things. There's a prayer that
- 26:07I learned of recently, and I think it's really good. I try to
- 26:11pray it every time I say a prayer throughout the day. Whenever I'm praying
- 26:15for anything, I try to close with this prayer. And I think,
- 26:19you know, if you want to really fight and defeat the evil in this
- 26:22world and be a warrior for God. You know, this is a really
- 26:30good prayer to incorporate into your daily life. Imagine if all the billion or
- 26:37so Christians in this world were to recite this prayer every hour, and it
- 26:45comes from Father Faber. He said, if every evening, before we retire,
- 26:51we would ask the blessed Virgin Mary to offer to God the precious blood
- 26:55of her divine son Jesus, for the intention that thereby one mortal sin which
- 27:00might be committed somewhere that night, might be prevented. And if every morning
- 27:04we offer, and if every morning this offering were renewed from day to day,
- 27:10we could could we could prevent many mortal sins. Imagine if all the
- 27:15Christians in this world were every waking hour of the day to pray that prayer
- 27:22that one mortal sin may be prevented. Through their prayer, that the blessed
- 27:30Virgin Mary would offer the precious blood of Jesus for the intention that that sin
- 27:34may be prevented, we could We could prevent millions and millions and billions of
- 27:45mortal sins. Murders, rapes, blasphemies, you name it. The most
- 27:57horrible. I mean if you were if you were sitting on your front porch
- 28:02and you saw your neighbor being physically assaulted, you would, i would hope,
- 28:06run over and try to stop it. If you were physically unable to
- 28:08call the police. Right, if you saw a child being abused or worse,
- 28:15you would do your best to stop it. If you saw someone about
- 28:18to be murdered, you would call out to the oven and tell them duck.
- 28:25At the very least, right, you would do something to prevent a
- 28:30mortal sin being committed. That's something you can do every time you can say
- 28:37pray that prayer, because we believe fully in the intercession of the Blessed Virgin
- 28:44Mary and the divinity of the precious Blood of Jesus. The power of the
- 28:47Blood we can trust, and every time we say that prayer, one mortal
- 28:53sin will be prevented. If we did that every morning and every evening,
- 29:00we could prevent two horrible, horrible things from happening in this world. If
- 29:04we did it every hour of the day, waking out of the day,
- 29:07we could prevent like eighteen. If we could do it more than that,
- 29:11we could prevent more than that. But imagine if every single Christian, Catholic,
- 29:17Protestant, non denominational, whatever, we're to pray that prayer. Imagine
- 29:22if every Muslim we're to pray that prayer. There are actually a lot of
- 29:25Muslims that actually have a belief and a devotion to the Blessed Virgin Mary in
- 29:33a way that somehow agrees to their with their theology and doctrine. I don't
- 29:44understand it fully, it's not something I fully looked into. But Mary has
- 29:48appeared to Muslim peoples at different times and promises that she will bring them into
- 29:55Christianity before the end of the world. They are also children of Abraham.
- 30:00Imagine if every Jew pray that prayer. Imagine if agnostic who just isn't sure
- 30:07about things but doesn't deny, we're going to pray that prayer. Imagine the
- 30:14crime rates going down in our cities, the murder rates going down, the
- 30:18horrors that we see on the news every day not being reported, Fewer people
- 30:25going to hell, more people going to heaven, and peace on earth.
- 30:33We have that ability. God gave us that power through his blessed Mother,
- 30:37as He gives everything through his blessed Mother. I hope you will embrace this
- 30:45embrace, this prayer. I will say it again, if every evening before
- 30:49we retire, we would ask the blessed Virgin Mary to offer to God the
- 30:53precious blood of her divine son Jesus, for the intention that thereby one mortal
- 31:00sin which might be committed somewhere that night, may be prevented. And if
- 31:03every morning this offering were renewed from day to day, we could prevent many
- 31:08mortal sins. You know, it could be the answer we've all been looking
- 31:17for. Pray your Rosary, Pray that brief prayer that doesn't take more than
- 31:22thirty seconds. Have your conversations with God throughout the day. You know,
- 31:30we can pray to God directly. We can also ask the saints to pray
- 31:33for us. That's the teaching of the Catholic Church is guaranteed by Jesus Christ
- 31:40through the Holy Spirit. I think we could make a tremendous difference in this
- 31:45world. And I hope you'll join me and so doing. And please remember
- 31:49say a prayer for my friends Julia Melkova, Alyssa Bernelli and Jim McDermott all
- 32:00went through horrible things in different places and for different reasons, and well,
- 32:07at least two of them because of the moral sins being committed by other people.
- 32:10In the words of Saint Padre Pio, Pray, hope and don't worry.
- 32:15Pray hope and don't worry. Pray as much as you can, constantly
- 32:21as you can. Hopefully you wake up in the middle of the night reciting
- 32:25the Rosary and you didn't even know you were doing it. It happens to
- 32:29me sometimes. Pray, hope and don't worry, and I will talk to
- 32:32you tomorrow.
