- 1:39home. Abdullah always does, yeah.
- 1:42Habibi, I'm well, I'm well, I'm, you know, I echo everything you
- 1:45said about the year. It's been fantastic.
- 1:47It's been amazing and I'm really looking forward to 2024, not
- 1:51just because of the podcast, but I feel like it's a year for me
- 1:53where I can focus on to Hey the Iman and Talk 1 show.
- 1:57What's your resolution resolution for the year?
- 2:00My family did ask me this couple of nights ago and I said I'll
- 2:04keep it to myself. I'm a very private person.
- 2:07I've not trusted me. I know.
- 2:09Five years in, I found out that his names Alice.
- 2:12What's yours? What's your resolution?
- 2:14I've got. One of many right or.
- 2:16Yeah, I've got, I'd say three. I think one or two I'll keep to
- 2:19myself, but for after margin I keep saying we want to hit
- 2:2120,000 Subs on YouTube. So sort us out guys.
- 2:26We crossed 5, by the way. The previous episode we said
- 2:29we're just on the five and handle all we got there.
- 2:30Eventually just 15,000 shy from now, we're there.
- 2:33We're nearly there. We're nearly there, Charla.
- 2:35Hopefully we're on the track. Some personal goals for work,
- 2:40for my health and for my family as well.
- 2:42So yeah, man, just growth, Charla.
- 2:44Trying to reach the potential that Allah has given us, you
- 2:47know, to reach. So yeah, man, gotta keep
- 2:50hustling. Fantastic.
- 2:51Fantastic. Yeah.
- 2:52Good episode today. Yes.
- 2:54Different ones. I'm excited because the last
- 2:56time we did like a reaction episode was back in season one,
- 2:59No. Way.
- 3:00Yeah, yeah, yeah. Do you remember?
- 3:01We it was Muharram time and I I still remember the videos we
- 3:05reacted to. We reacted to that, you know
- 3:07that young, that young brother who chose Hussein over the toys
- 3:11and clips by Sheikh Hassar Nazar and and a few others.
- 3:14It was good. It was really, really so.
- 3:17I'm excited though. Remember that.
- 3:18Say Joe up as we need. Say Joe?
- 3:19Yeah, yeah. Yeah, I like that.
- 3:21If you, if you want to check that out, guys, hit.
- 3:25I keep saying hit, go to the YouTube channel and look at the
- 3:28season one reaction videos. I know it's a bit outdated, but
- 3:30it's really really good, really good stuff.
- 3:32It's worth it. Yeah, it's worth it.
- 3:34Before we get into it as usual. We have rankings.
- 3:37We have some rankings and I'm going to let you go first.
- 3:42So I'm going to give you like 5 what they called when you go to
- 3:47a restaurant called coordinates like for condiments, condiments.
- 3:50That's the one. So I was like, isn't that
- 3:52sauces? Sauces basically their sauces,
- 3:54whether you like with pizza, burger, etcetera.
- 3:57So I'm going to give you 5, but you know how to rank them.
- 4:00You ready? OK.
- 4:01OK. The smaller first one, Ketchup.
- 4:06OK. Where would you rank it out of
- 4:09five the? Thing is, I'm not big on
- 4:11ketchup. It's kind of like if it
- 4:13disappeared off the face of the earth, I'd feel emotional.
- 4:15You know what I mean? I Jeep, so probably 4.
- 4:18Four. OK, melted cheese.
- 4:21Oh. You can't put melted cheese on
- 4:24everything. I'm assuming this is like, by
- 4:26the way, American cheese. It's like, I hope so, yeah,
- 4:28yeah, yeah. Yeah, you can't put cheese on
- 4:30everything or with everything, but like, you probably 2.
- 4:36You. Put it for two.
- 4:38So ketchup is 4, melted cheese is 2.
- 4:40Where would you put chili sauce? One one, Yeah, that's my desi
- 4:46side, bro. Yeah, Allah Allah chili sauce.
- 4:49OK, how about hummus? Hummus.
- 4:52Yeah. Three.
- 4:52Comfortable. I like that.
- 4:54OK. Last one, Mayo.
- 4:56Yes, Mayo 55. I'm not, I'm not into Mayo at
- 5:00all. OK?
- 5:00Mayo was like if, if I was dying of thirst and if I had chips
- 5:04with salt on it. I had no water, nothing.
- 5:08And the only thing I had was Mayo.
- 5:11I'd still. I'd still be reluctant.
- 5:13Dad, I would not want that, bro. Don't give me that.
- 5:16I'm not a Mayo fan. Well Mayo is dangerous, by the
- 5:19way, For your health and everything just.
- 5:20Heads up, Mayo mixed with chili. It's OK.
- 5:23Chili mayo's cool. You know what else?
- 5:25Garlic mayo's or I Mayo on its own, bro.
- 5:29Tastes like a meeting. What's your thoughts on What's
- 5:32your thoughts on sweet chili sauce?
- 5:35I'm not big on it. I love it.
- 5:36Really. 100% Why It's It's like the sibling to ketchup.
- 5:42Yeah, and you can't go wrong. Just wake.
- 5:44Just like how ketchup can go with everything.
- 5:46How would you rank these five? Ketchup will be one, believe it
- 5:50or not, because you can put it anywhere.
- 5:51OK, yeah, and even don't ask, but some people have tried it
- 5:56with rice, is it not? Like a Somali thing.
- 5:59Is it? No idea.
- 6:01I have no idea. Then I would.
- 6:02I would say chili sauce. OK, chili sauce, although I'm
- 6:07not a big fan of spice and things like that, but I do like
- 6:10a bit of chili. It gives me that that hit when
- 6:12you when you require it. I will go for melted cheese.
- 6:17Nice, because that's amazing when it's on your, you know,
- 6:20your fries, your. Nachos your.
- 6:22Maybe got some jalapenos here and there as well.
- 6:25Fully loaded chips, if you know what I'm talking about.
- 6:27Yeah, yeah. Then I would say Mayo.
- 6:30OK. But the thing with Mayo, I'm not
- 6:33a big fan as well, you know, You know, every time I've been to
- 6:35like a chicken and chip shop, for example, and they offer me
- 6:38Mayo, I say, can I trade the fun of the ketchup?
- 6:40Yeah, yeah. But I I would have chosen Mayo
- 6:43last But hummus. Not a fan.
- 6:45No, I had. I had it yesterday, yesterday
- 6:49for breakfast, and I think it had a hint of garlic to it.
- 6:53I was like, no, I'm not a fan of garlic.
- 6:55Just put you off. Yeah, put me off, put me off.
- 6:57Hummus is 5. Hummus is elite.
- 6:59I think it's elite. I don't think it's like
- 7:02unbeatable, but I think hummus is beautiful.
- 7:05You can have hummus with like. Cows with falafin.
- 7:07With. Yeah, Humbus.
- 7:08With Falafels. Yeah, shawarma.
- 7:10Yeah, yeah. Hummus is beautiful, but you
- 7:13can't have hummus with you can't have it like with your chips.
- 7:16It's a bit awkward. Do you know what I mean?
- 7:18Wouldn't recommend. Recommend it?
- 7:19Yeah, it's not your choice. Have you tried the ice cream and
- 7:21chips? Ice cream with chips, yeah.
- 7:24No, I used to try that when I was young.
- 7:26Oh my God. I can imagine it though.
- 7:28I've tried a lot of things, yeah.
- 7:31I like it guys. Let us know the comments, what
- 7:32you think, how would you rank those?
- 7:34And also, sorry, just before we go on to the videos, a lot of
- 7:37you have sent in dilemmas, so this is a bit of a special New
- 7:40Year's episode. So we asked some of the viewers
- 7:43for dilemmas on our Instagram page.
- 7:46If you're not following, then do follow.
- 7:48And we've got some really interesting ones, some different
- 7:50ones as well. So yeah, head over to Instagram
- 7:53and follow us so you don't miss the next one, Should we start
- 7:56with the video? Say.
- 7:57I think we should start with the videos, but I need to log in.
- 7:59Yeah, While we're ready. Sorry, sorry.
- 8:02Should we go? Let's go.
- 8:03Let's. Do It 321 Bismillah.
- 8:10Another Hezbollah soldier is taken to his grave.
- 8:15He's the latest fighter to die on Lebanon's southern border, A
- 8:18young father with children. They're shouting.
- 8:23They're all ready to die in this latest battle with Israel did.
- 8:29You not understand what she. Said interesting, I I I
- 8:31understood everything in this video said.
- 8:33I'm so battled. What are?
- 8:34You confused. No, I'm just listening to
- 8:36Labakia Hussein. Yeah, Hussein.
- 8:38I'm not even thinking what she said did.
- 8:39You not hear what she said. Go back to, go back to she.
- 8:42Let's play it again I I I understood fully.
- 8:44Watching. I was watching and listening to
- 8:47the guys. That was a sad video.
- 8:49Go for it. Another Hezbollah soldier is
- 8:54taken to his grave. He's the latest fighter to die
- 8:59on Lebanon's southern border. A young father with children.
- 9:05They're shouting. They're all ready to die in this
- 9:08latest battle with Israel now. You got it.
- 9:11Yeah. Oh my God.
- 9:13The way she misinterpreted that? She's fully, she's fully twisted
- 9:17the meaning. Yeah, so.
- 9:20This was part of the thing man Ali had in Canada.
- 9:25Yes, in Vancouver. I just remembered part of the
- 9:27workshop. So when we've done the workshop,
- 9:29we were explaining like she and media to people and we showed
- 9:32this as an example of she as being misinterpreted.
- 9:36So they're shouting, Labakia was saying, while there's a funeral
- 9:39procession, and she said that they're shouting what?
- 9:42We are ready to join the latest war.
- 9:44Basically, we're all ready to die.
- 9:47Interesting. So it shows you how, like,
- 9:50people can misrepresent the truth and twist the facts.
- 9:53That's just one great example. And this is where Sky News.
- 9:57Sky News, Sky News. Irreptable.
- 10:00Wow. There's been a lot of cases in
- 10:03the last 2 1/2 months since the conflict started or since the
- 10:08the genocide started on on on Gaza, where mainstream media
- 10:12outlets have put stuff out there which have been completely
- 10:15nonsensical and they've tried to translate or even summarise a
- 10:20translation. And it's been so intentionally
- 10:23wrong. Like it can't even be
- 10:25coincidentally. I saw something yesterday or two
- 10:27days ago, It was like how there were captives, Palestinian
- 10:32captives taken. And it was, it was weird.
- 10:34It was like the captives were male and some of them were young
- 10:40males who may have been children.
- 10:42OK, if you see they were all, they were all like kids under
- 10:4710, you know what I'm saying? Why would you say some of them
- 10:49may have been males who could have been young males or
- 10:52something like that? Bro, What?
- 10:54What's the harm in saying they're children?
- 10:56This is the do you know what I mean?
- 10:57But there's a complete clear cut agenda when it comes to
- 11:00reporting. Like since you brang up this
- 11:03topic, I still remember when they were like, you know, when
- 11:06they were like hostages in in Gaza, they were like, you know,
- 11:10children have been taken hostages.
- 11:12And you know, on the other side for me it's abduction, whether
- 11:15you call them a prison prison or not.
- 11:17And in my eyes, habibi, you've taken them hostage.
- 11:19When the Israelis, they took their little children to their
- 11:22side of the border, they call them what do they call them
- 11:25under eighteens. So the headlines that all the
- 11:28Western media, news outlets, they couldn't say children.
- 11:31So they'll say, under eighteens. Under eighteens, crazy
- 11:33emotionally desensitized you so you don't feel emotionally
- 11:36attached. Well, that's the wall for.
- 11:37The pain in the heart. And it shows you why it's
- 11:39important. You need to have Muslim outlets
- 11:42representing the truth, 100% Muslim.
- 11:43Seek the hack and the hack and shallow.
- 11:46We will do justice. Free Palestine, man.
- 11:48Make sure you get a Fire TV. Free, Free Palestine.
- 11:50Yeah, Next clip, Yeah. Yeah, let's do it smaller.
- 11:55Smaller 321. Is completely a Shia country.
- 12:00Those who are in Europe, Arabic countries, they are all Sunnis.
- 12:04The first difference is the number of the prophets in Shia.
- 12:08Oh my God. Prophet the maldev is written
- 12:11the name of Ali who is the leader, but for the Sunni people
- 12:17Muhammad is. Leader Oh my Lord.
- 12:19They have 6 main prophets. They have people.
- 12:22She knows 6 main prophets. Oh, wow.
- 12:25These stones are called. Can I take one?
- 12:28Yes, they are holly stones, yes. Well, because the leader of Shia
- 12:35people, Ali, was killed in this land in Mecca, so it is
- 12:40considered. To be I.
- 12:42Cannot show. Oh my God.
- 12:46So she's in Iran. She in Iran?
- 12:49She must be giving a tour to someone in Iran.
- 12:52She's in Iran. She's saying people, he was
- 12:54killed in this land in Mecca. Where do you begin?
- 12:57Why? What?
- 13:01What is? This by the way, is this a hot
- 13:03idea? It looks like, yeah, and.
- 13:07She's given a tour of the hot idea.
- 13:09Yeah, I'm not a prank. It's from a documentary or
- 13:14something, It must be. My days the way it's.
- 13:15Filmed talk about checking your work before you release it.
- 13:20Honestly, what the hell, we've. Got 12 prophets, What was it?
- 13:23But who are the six main prophets for the Sunnis?
- 13:25That's what I'm trying to figure out.
- 13:27Like, I get it. I said 12 meters.
- 13:29She knows 6 sahaba she's doing. There's ten.
- 13:31I don't understand. Is that what she's talking
- 13:35about? Just to clarify any of our
- 13:38audience Where? Where's what?
- 13:41What? Wait.
- 13:44I like how she grabbed the turtle bar.
- 13:45She was like these are called, they are holy stones.
- 13:53I don't even want to comment on this because it's laughable.
- 13:56This is why. We need to have medium.
- 13:58Oh my days. I like that.
- 13:59Where did you find that bro? I've just been looking around in
- 14:02it. Oh, the government made
- 14:04documentaries. Oh my days.
- 14:07Well inshallah someone can correct her.
- 14:10You know somewhere on YouTube or something I.
- 14:12Just open Wikipedia. You don't even need to go on
- 14:15YouTube. She's not even recently.
- 14:17The poor guy is believing her. Honestly, next.
- 14:22Christ, jeez. Ready.
- 14:26Yeah, go on. 321. Modern day Roadman.
- 14:41Yeah, yeah, yeah. Salaam malika.
- 14:43They can't even say Salaam. But the way she pronounced that
- 14:46was absolutely. What?
- 14:48So she said Salaam to the boys and they didn't reply to her.
- 14:50So she said, I've said to you basically Salaam alaikum and you
- 14:53can't give the Jawab back, basically.
- 14:56But she couldn't say the Jawab currently.
- 14:57Yeah, yeah, yeah, Parents said. She knows Hawaji, but it's
- 15:00better than the brothers. Honestly, she gets the 99 Tawab.
- 15:03I don't even get the one in. Case anyone doesn't know,
- 15:07someone said Salaam to you. The Halaikum Salaam is Wajib.
- 15:10Yeah, so that's what she was trying to point out.
- 15:11She must have walked past them saying Salaam Adaikum probably.
- 15:16You don't have. I have.
- 15:18I have friends who are not Muslim and who say Sam alaikum
- 15:22to me. Yeah, I have a friend who's a
- 15:24Hindu brother and he says Sam alaikum to me.
- 15:26At the beginning I thought, yeah, maybe he's joking or like
- 15:30he's teasing, but bro, I've known this guy for 3-4 years
- 15:33now. He's one of the most respectful
- 15:34guys. He says Sam Alaikum to me every
- 15:37time I call him or he calls me. Yeah, we don't speak a lot,
- 15:39maybe every few months here. The guy's persistent on
- 15:43respecting our beliefs and he wants to greet me the the
- 15:46Islamic way. He'll, he'll bring food on aid
- 15:50or he'll, when it's Muharram, he knows the black flags, all of
- 15:55that because we were neighbours before, so he understands the
- 15:57whole thing. We mentioned this last time,
- 15:59didn't we, How, like a lot of influences are using Islamic
- 16:01terms. Yeah, man.
- 16:04I think I was watching the fellows podcast couple weeks ago
- 16:07and I think Carl Freezing must have mentioned something.
- 16:11All Madame the dunya and. Then someone goes to him say
- 16:15wellahi and he go bro, I'm not even Muslim but they're so used
- 16:17to it now. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 16:19Loni Maduecki is a Chelsea player, yeah, yeah, random guy.
- 16:22They bought him from Holland, yeah.
- 16:24And after the goal yesterday, he scored a goal, I think.
- 16:28And he's like good game Mac on Sky Sports.
- 16:31No good game, Mac. Yeah, yeah, yeah, he's.
- 16:33Trying to say akhi. Basically.
- 16:35But he's a Dutch guy from England who's talking on Sky
- 16:38Sports. He's saying ack like.
- 16:40Or do I just remember? Remember one?
- 16:43What's his name? MP.
- 16:45The the Health Secretary. Hancock.
- 16:48Hancock. Yeah.
- 16:49Hancock. When he was when he went to the
- 16:50mosque. What do you?
- 16:52Do he took like 10 seconds because the aid.
- 16:54Mubarak. He couldn't say it, probably, Or
- 16:55something. Oh my God, it was like a Salaam
- 16:58alaikum. You couldn't pronounce it, but
- 17:02that was hilarious. Man, that was funny.
- 17:04I. Like that.
- 17:04I like that. Yeah, it's good.
- 17:05I like the fact that our culture is.
- 17:07Creeping Sharia. Yeah, I can't endorse.
- 17:10Nothing. I like that.
- 17:11Yeah, they're not gonna like that.
- 17:13The show, it's nice. As I was gonna say, it's nice
- 17:15that was or Mujaha milat are basically becoming mainstream, I
- 17:19think. It's because Charlotte by the
- 17:20way is very common. I've heard that a few times,
- 17:23like my non-Muslims, sometimes when I have a conversation they
- 17:26say inshallah, inshallah basically.
- 17:28Bro I've got the wish to buy those.
- 17:30There's this streamer called Danny Aaron's.
- 17:32Yeah, this guy, he goes on these foot asylum shows.
- 17:36He's like, bro, wallahi, I didn't do that, like, And who
- 17:39was I speaking to? One of the guys in my office,
- 17:41Yeah, he's he's an atheist, but he's like where I grew up is
- 17:46what he's telling me. He's like in my culture, in my
- 17:48friend's circle, he goes, we're not Muslim, but he goes, we know
- 17:51that Wallahi is like an oath. You cannot break it.
- 17:56Do you say Wallahi? That's it.
- 17:58I'm thinking, bro, you're treating it better than Muslims
- 18:00do. They're treating it better than
- 18:01Muslims. That's so true, it's.
- 18:02A pan Allah. I like that.
- 18:04That was good. Next one.
- 18:05Next one. For you to get through.
- 18:07Woman nowadays, with all due respect bro.
- 18:10So if you ain't got a relationship with your father,
- 18:12especially a female, if you ain't got that relationship with
- 18:15your father, then best believe you're going to be a lousy wife
- 18:19to your husband. Wow.
- 18:20Because if you can't take care of the man that cared for you,
- 18:22who do you think you could take care of well?
- 18:25This was a controversial. One and the best way to find out
- 18:28how a man would be a good husband is looking at his
- 18:31relationship with his mother and his sisters, OK?
- 18:34So it was a bit controversial on Twitter.
- 18:36People were beefing him about how you're saying you can't take
- 18:39care of a man if you don't have, if you've got other issues,
- 18:43Yeah. So what's your take?
- 18:44I have a lot of thoughts. What do you think said?
- 18:46By the way, now that I've seen this, I've seen this before just
- 18:49to let everyone know, But I've also seen the clip that he's
- 18:52released after this, clarifying what he said in this clip.
- 18:56But first on how your thoughts and I think it's only fair that
- 18:59I reiterate an echo is clarification.
- 19:01So I agree firstly, Aki Amon, I think we all got to take him
- 19:07with a pinch of salt firstly. OK.
- 19:09That's I think we we we love his character, but you can't really
- 19:12take that one from the guy. Yeah, I agree with.
- 19:14That very learned, yeah. I respect, I respect the message
- 19:17of what he's saying. Yeah.
- 19:19And I agree with, like he's talking about the makam of your
- 19:21parents, the multiple of your parents that's like, you know,
- 19:25undisputable and whatnot, and the respect they should have for
- 19:27your parents. I completely agree with that.
- 19:29So I agree with that. However, I think that's
- 19:30circumstantial as well. Like I know people who like
- 19:36their parents, split their parents, maybe one passed away.
- 19:39Or like I know, I know cases of people whose fathers have passed
- 19:43away, sisters and brothers and or people who had an abusive
- 19:47relationship with one of their parents, or both even and turned
- 19:51out to be great spouses. Or great parents, great fathers,
- 19:54great mothers. Do you know what I mean?
- 19:55I think one of the top responses to this was, OK, let me go back
- 19:59to my abusive father then, if that's what he's saying.
- 20:02Yeah, that's, yeah, exactly my point.
- 20:03Like, not all fathers are great to their daughters or great to
- 20:06their sons, but in this case, daughters, do you know what I
- 20:08mean? So that's a bit of a like, it's
- 20:12a bit of a generalisation. But if presuming you've got,
- 20:15like, good parents, of course, yeah, I agree with him.
- 20:19Lahu I I did watch this clip. I remember at the time when I
- 20:22saw it, I think it was shared on numerous platforms.
- 20:25So it did come across on my on my feet.
- 20:29Well, I I didn't find any trouble with it because I think
- 20:32I already knew the message behind it, right.
- 20:34You understand. But I did see people commenting,
- 20:37people going crazy saying how can you say that etcetera,
- 20:40etcetera. But you know I came in like you
- 20:43said you you appreciate the message behind it.
- 20:46He does say don't take that one from me, you understand?
- 20:49He he says. He says.
- 20:50Basically, basically I I came in as someone who has life
- 20:54experiences and someone who's helping the youth in the Muslim
- 20:57ummah and he's trying to keep them on track.
- 21:00He's trying to keep them off the streets, taking them away from
- 21:02gang life, knife culture, things like that.
- 21:04So that's the work. He's right.
- 21:05He he that's the field that he works in.
- 21:07But his clarification was I'm telling you, if this is the
- 21:14relationship you're going to have with your father, basically
- 21:17it's going to come affect your marriage, Sir.
- 21:19But his point was when he was, when he was referencing this
- 21:22point, he's talking about those people whose fathers are still
- 21:26in their life. He's not talking about the
- 21:28fathers that left them. He's not talking about the
- 21:30fathers that has abused them. He's not talking about the
- 21:32fathers who really don't give a flying monkey about their
- 21:35children, you understand? So he's saying if you have a
- 21:38father, basically he's looking after you and everything.
- 21:40Show him respect. I agree with that.
- 21:42Yeah, that's the point that was. There's a big point to think
- 21:44about when it means like, what is today's day and age?
- 21:47And it's a universal. Message, by the way, Yeah, this
- 21:51is, this is Yanni. I don't even think you have to
- 21:52be Muslim to agree with this. I say it, I find it extra
- 21:55interesting, especially from you, because I think you grew up
- 21:58in a family where you were the man of the house essentially.
- 22:02So you understand the kids perspective.
- 22:05I think adds adds more. To the value of what he's
- 22:08saying? Possibly.
- 22:10Possibly. Interesting, yeah.
- 22:13Also what what looking after your father means.
- 22:15Like in today's day and age, you know the right, like Islamically
- 22:19the rights of the father are huge, are huge right?
- 22:23And the responsibilities of father are huge.
- 22:25So if you're a son or a daughter, are you facilitating
- 22:27your dad to do what he needs to be doing by God's law properly?
- 22:32And are you making his life easier in doing that?
- 22:34Or you could argue that's not my job, I'm his kid, he should be
- 22:36looking after me. Yeah, you 100%.
- 22:38At the same time, if you are causing him extra stress,
- 22:41causing him extra like tension day in, day out, you know, you
- 22:45get those like stereotypical middle-aged Arab or Asian dads
- 22:49come home, they're like, oh, I don't want the angry and like,
- 22:52do you know what I mean? Like Moody, edgy, don't want to
- 22:55talk to anyone, have their dinner and go to bed.
- 22:57Basically if you're if you're a son or a daughter in that
- 23:00situation, you need to think how can I show love, care, respect
- 23:04my father. Obviously the whole marriage
- 23:06thing is like, you know, there are elements because I think
- 23:08when you are a wife. It's a secondary to the primary
- 23:10point secondary. To the primary point, which is
- 23:12about the relationship with your parents, the marriage thing
- 23:14naturally how you the the like. The way you look at your father
- 23:19will 100% have an impact on what you you think of your husband
- 23:23and what sort of father he will be and how you'll facilitate him
- 23:25to be a father. Did you get me?
- 23:27So I agree with that for sure. We could do a whole podcast on
- 23:30this one. I was going to say we need to
- 23:31speak about parents. Yeah, we're going to do that.
- 23:33Children, the relationship and Charlotte between Charlotte Soon
- 23:37the parents and the children. I'm going to love that episode.
- 23:40I I really want to know what people at home think, guys.
- 23:43So comment down below how you feel about this video.
- 23:46That's a very interesting one. I like that.
- 23:48Indeed, indeed. Good choice.
- 23:50Good choice before you go on. Yeah, there was.
- 23:53There was something similar this week as well with the coats and
- 23:57abayas. Wearing, wearing a jacket on top
- 24:00of your abaya. A shake on TikTok came out
- 24:02saying you cannot wear a jacket on top of your abaya.
- 24:06Why? Because apparently it goes.
- 24:09It shakes your body. Something like that, but I don't
- 24:14think it's for me to comment. Sisters are going to freeze.
- 24:16I'm lucky. No, you have to wear the ABI on
- 24:19top of your coat. So you wear the coat then the
- 24:22ABI? I think that makes it worse.
- 24:25Yeah, that's not going to help, bro, especially with your back.
- 24:30That's a separate discussion with the Scholar Shallow.
- 24:33Yeah, yeah, yeah. Next clip, Next clip.
- 25:03I'm good. I'm good all my days.
- 25:12She's like in Islamic dress. He starts worshipping her.
- 25:15Like she's royalty. So she's written when you're
- 25:17wearing in the cup. Yeah, basically right.
- 25:19He thinks he's speaking to Jasmine from Aladdin.
- 25:22Honestly, this man is even one or two things Eva has high
- 25:25respect for. The Cavis Charlotte.
- 25:26He does. Or he's drunk or he's drunk.
- 25:29There was a follow up video where he just fell asleep on the
- 25:32floor. No, I'm shut off my.
- 25:33Day. Definitely had too much to
- 25:35drink. I like that she's responding
- 25:38well. Yeah, yeah, She's not getting.
- 25:39Creeped out like she's not over. She's not overstepping her
- 25:42boundaries, but she's she's taking it like hard all.
- 25:45Is good. I like her, dear, as we're
- 25:47saying. I like item.
- 25:48Yeah, yeah. I like that.
- 25:50That's cool. I remember this one.
- 25:58Oh my days. Oh my God.
- 26:09What gangster? Oh, bless the uncle, bless the
- 26:26uncle. I love the I love the energy.
- 26:31That guy might not laugh. He should be on the front lines.
- 26:34Front lines, honestly. So can you give context Ed for
- 26:37people who don't understand the video?
- 26:38So this is a place where people. Throw pimples at the same.
- 26:44Time I was trying to find a different way to throw, but you
- 26:46know, it's part of the rituals they have to do when you're
- 26:48there, when you complete hygiene, everything where you
- 26:50have to throw the stones towards the Pedazov.
- 26:52It's a sign of rejection of the. Rejecting Satan, Shetan, et
- 26:56cetera. And this brother, I don't know
- 26:57he's he took the he. Got out of his wheelchair.
- 27:00Bro with the AK47. He got out, the wheelchair
- 27:04pulled up. Suddenly, he remembers how to
- 27:05walk. He remembers how to walk.
- 27:08He got Shafar and on. That's Iman Bro.
- 27:11Iman Go him up. Honestly, I rate that guy.
- 27:14Man, I like I. Like I would love to have a like
- 27:17a granddad or like. We need them on the podcast.
- 27:19Uncle Yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah, if you might point the gun
- 27:21towards us. I remember when I was seven, I
- 27:25went for Omla. Okay, I bro.
- 27:27The way I was dashing it like because it's as when you're
- 27:32young it's fun, like it's a fun activity and you think I hate
- 27:35Shaitvan, that it reinforces your Iman from a young age.
- 27:39This guy Marshall, he kept that childhood within him.
- 27:42Seven Man's 8070. Too much Fortnite?
- 27:45The heart is young. The heart is young.
- 27:48I like that. I love every time I see that
- 27:50video I crack up. I love it.
- 27:52You know, I've seen others, I've seen people throw shoes,
- 27:54slippers and things like that. It's crazy.
- 27:56It's crazy. Yeah.
- 27:57Yeah. Like George Bush?
- 27:58Yes, yes, when you stood beside Nora Maliki.
- 28:01Yeah, yeah. Yeah.
- 28:02Good. Next clip I've seen
- 29:08he needs to collab with that guy.
- 29:09Man, I need to find them. What is they're?
- 29:12They're like Aborigines or what was it like?
- 29:14A certain community right it. Looked.
- 29:17Cultural and traditional. I found actually, but I think
- 29:19it's like Caribbean maybe. Yeah, or something.
- 29:22There's definitely African heritage in that recitation.
- 29:24100%. What do you think?
- 29:26My first time here had done in that way.
- 29:29But I think, you know, like every place of the world has
- 29:33their own way of reciting. You know, the call to prayer,
- 29:36and it's nice to see, you know, different tribes different.
- 29:38Cultures, but I think it's just they got offended is different
- 29:42because it's not traditional. But if they got offended,
- 29:44they're racist. I'm telling you, it's that
- 29:47simple. That's they have some racism
- 29:49inside them. But you know the beautiful thing
- 29:51about this Adan? It might sound like foreign to
- 29:54us, the way that the methods was recited, as I remember like part
- 29:58of the akam of how you recite the Adanis that you can recite
- 30:02it however you want to recite it as long as it's not in the way
- 30:04of singing. As long as you cannot compare it
- 30:07to a song, you understand. But for you that would be no.
- 30:11Because we've grown up like from the Middle East, like we've all
- 30:13grown up hearing certain melodies of how they, how they
- 30:17do the adhan etcetera. So it sounds foreign to us, but
- 30:19that's how they do and they're I.
- 30:20I wouldn't. I wouldn't compare that to a
- 30:22song though. No, I wouldn't.
- 30:23It sounds foreign to us, but because it's foreign doesn't
- 30:26mean it's wrong. But point is, you can recite the
- 30:28adhan however way it's comfortable for you to recite
- 30:31it, as long as it doesn't become like a like.
- 30:34Seeing I think it's beautiful man.
- 30:36To be honest, I think, I think it's so nice that it's Islam as
- 30:39a religion is so culturally diverse.
- 30:41Holy Prophet Muhammad Sallallahu alaihi Wala Salem said.
- 30:43That it's there's no superiority of an Arab over a non arable
- 30:46black over white or white over black and that's beautiful and
- 30:49you can see that here. Obviously the I'm not one to say
- 30:53anything. The guy's got the guts to stand
- 30:54up and and be a mother. But you know like the the
- 30:57muckled pronunciation is not in the way of the way it should be
- 31:01done in Arabic. But nonetheless bro, I read that
- 31:05guy man. He smashed it.
- 31:06I really like that. And I like the fact that there
- 31:08are communities who are facilitating and encouraging
- 31:10people who can recite like that to God.
- 31:12Especially if they're a community which is like a
- 31:14diasporic community for for Muslims, like people from a
- 31:17certain background or culture or ethnicity who congregate
- 31:21together and who pray Salah together.
- 31:23They should have. Why should they have to be
- 31:25forced to adopt? If anything, it could be making
- 31:29the people of that village feel more at home.
- 31:31Yeah, more home, more spiritual, or more wanting to go pray.
- 31:34Yeah, if it is in tune with them.
- 31:37Yeah, 100%, 100%. And, you know, the status of
- 31:41Omweddon is great in the eyes of Allah.
- 31:43Yeah. And we have to show them
- 31:44respect. Yeah.
- 31:45You know, sometimes we take it, Likely.
- 31:47We go to the mosque. We hear, you know, the brother
- 31:48doing the adhan. We hear him.
- 31:50We start praying. No, I said we have to respect
- 31:52them and praise them. Yeah, say Masha'allah, you know,
- 31:54things like that. Yeah.
- 31:55Encourages them. And Insha'allah encourages us to
- 31:57recite adhan as well. Yeah, yeah.
- 31:59Let's try recite it in our homes.
- 32:00Would you ever, would you ever recite something in like a
- 32:03different culture or with someone from different culture?
- 32:05Would you ever collaborate with someone like that?
- 32:08Maybe not. And I don't.
- 32:09I have no idea. Yeah.
- 32:10Yeah. Yeah, 100%.
- 32:12Really 100%. Yeah, I'll rate that.
- 32:13You should do it. That'll be vibes.
- 32:16Yeah, you should stop bro. Release something have you with
- 32:19your. Daughters with your daughters
- 32:20and. Yeah, Come on bro, let's do it.
- 32:22You'll. Release something.
- 32:23What do you mean I'm not reciting?
- 32:25You've got like there isn't. Talent almost every week.
- 32:27We'll find. You.
- 32:27But I keep it there like this guy.
- 32:31I was saying Gokul's Got Talent. GGT.
- 32:36Next clip. All right, so we'll have the
- 32:37smoother. Yeah, the sun rotates.
- 32:42I'm not a slave of the scientist.
- 32:44We're head obey whatever they say.
- 32:46Clearly I can't see the sun moving.
- 32:49Said of the Earth is moving. And what is the how fast is
- 32:52moving speed. OK, yes, it's a cover.
- 33:03It's a cover to reject the sun, the state on the earth, because
- 33:07the clever hadith. So we believe that we know we
- 33:11are not in need of scientists. Tell me about my belief, another
- 33:14myth. Oh my God, This guy.
- 33:17Guide him. Guide him.
- 33:19Shamsi. Shamsi.
- 33:21Where do you begin? The thing is, if you begin, you
- 33:26open up a kind of once. But let's just stick to this
- 33:30point. Brother, you're not a scientist.
- 33:32I mean, you're not a scientist. You're Hyde Park.
- 33:36You know, Rap battler. You know I'm saying, bro, let me
- 33:39get So he's saying the sun rotates around the Earth, Yeah.
- 33:43He said. Basically, ignore the science.
- 33:45Ignore what people? Use the eye test.
- 33:46Because he, you know, he says ignore it because he can see the
- 33:49sun rotating. He says use the eye test.
- 33:51You see the sun, therefore logically.
- 33:53OK, fine Huff. Let's say for example, he's
- 33:55right. Yeah.
- 33:56So is he saying that the sun goes around Earth?
- 34:00Is that by the same logic, the moon goes around the Earth?
- 34:02And if the other planets they go around the sun, are they going
- 34:05around the sun while the sun is going around the Earth?
- 34:07Allahu Island. Allahu Island.
- 34:09That's what I said. It's a kind of worms.
- 34:11Doesn't make sense. And if the sun is going around
- 34:13the Earth and the moon is going around the Earth, are the other
- 34:15planets going around the Earth? Or is the sun going around each
- 34:19planet one by one, including the sun doesn't?
- 34:21Make sense? Doesn't make sense.
- 34:23Brother, if your if your your speciality is not science or
- 34:27astronomy or astrology, stay away from it, please.
- 34:31We don't. We don't.
- 34:31Come on the podcast. By the way, he mentioned.
- 34:34Orbits around Chemsi A. Lot he.
- 34:37He mentioned the point, he was like, we don't need to take
- 34:40science for Muslims, right? He mentioned something like he
- 34:42mentioned a phrase in there. But you know, Islam goes hand in
- 34:45hand with science 100% so long as you know science doesn't
- 34:50contradict Islam in that sense. So it's completely wrong just to
- 34:54even end his video by saying don't take from science.
- 34:57As a Muslim, if he's encouraging people to stop thinking those
- 34:59goods behind him who are believing every word he's
- 35:03saying, like they didn't do GCSEs, you know what I'm saying?
- 35:06Like Islam encourages research and specialized specializing in
- 35:10fields and Mama Lova al Islam wrote a book called the Golden
- 35:14book of Anatomy. He wrote a book on anatomy.
- 35:16You know what I'm saying? You look at mini natural Balaga.
- 35:19Look at the first sermon. He talks about the orbit of the
- 35:22of the the the planets and he talks about the universe and the
- 35:26creation. The Hulk of our last month.
- 35:28I like in the universe like you have.
- 35:30If you want to look at science within Islam, there are things
- 35:33there. Quranically there is.
- 35:34Quranically, there is. If you want to look at science
- 35:37outside of Islam, look at it, research it, use your
- 35:40comparative knowledge, use your instinct, and then compare that
- 35:44knowledge with what you learn from the Dean and see where it
- 35:47takes you. For someone to deny factual
- 35:49science, like factual, universally accepted, I think
- 35:54accepted by 99.9% of Muslims to say the earth rotates around the
- 36:00sun, I can't take nothing from this.
- 36:02It's part of a bigger, it's part of a bigger thought process of
- 36:06of keeping the intellect of a community of Muslims at a low
- 36:11level. He's got a shit affected.
- 36:13Down level, Yeah, I know he's obsessed.
- 36:15I don't know if I'm the kind of worm, so I think maybe we've.
- 36:17Got he's obsessed with us. He's.
- 36:18Not leave that, leave that. Yeah, he's not.
- 36:21He's not worth the time she had this shit either.
- 36:24May Allah guide him and guys if you are homeless and to him.
- 36:26Please, what have you done? Have you heard that clip anyway?
- 36:30Wait, do that again. We'll just switch to Army.
- 36:31Do that again. She What have you done?
- 36:34Like how much times you heard this from Chelsea?
- 36:36Thumbnail right there. The guy.
- 36:37Seriously. Has a like it?
- 36:38Yeah. I'm not going to talk me.
- 36:39I'll love. Forgive us all.
- 36:41He loves it. Doesn't he?
- 38:07Is like to the seven heavens, and he was hearing.
- 38:13Lost the rendition, please. No, no, no, no.
- 38:18But you know that I see there. Yeah.
- 38:21Bro, like seriously it's you know how like when Safra Al
- 38:25Allah came out, this is like. Same vibes.
- 38:28Similar vibes. And you know, it's.
- 38:29You know when you thought you couldn't be taught?
- 38:32You know, at the very beginning when I heard I'm like, I
- 38:35remember I was having this discussion with you actually say
- 38:36much tomorrow. I was like, I don't know, I'm
- 38:37not feeling it. And the author was like, what
- 38:39are you talking about? It's one of the best.
- 38:42Best luck to me. Had to come out, you know?
- 38:43And then I went and heard it again.
- 38:44I'm like, you know what? This is it.
- 38:46Beautiful. This is it.
- 38:47Beautiful. Yeah, And then Subhan Allah,
- 38:49it's like echoed all around the world.
- 38:51Like wherever you go, you hear this.
- 38:53And that that rendition of when he does the Hussein, the one
- 38:56minute stanza or whatever, bro, It's the highlight rips.
- 39:01That was on from the start. From Nejev to Calibano all the
- 39:04way, Yeah, as a non-stop. It's just proof.
- 39:09You only need one word for a majlis.
- 39:11You only need the name Hussein, that in itself is a majlis.
- 39:14A Baker or Hossein? Yeah, about the.
- 39:16Kasidan itself. This kid gives us his voice.
- 39:20May Allah inshallah allow him to take the spot.
- 39:24What's his name? Do we know his name?
- 39:25No. Randomly came.
- 39:27You know, I know his name. Send this to me.
- 39:28I know his name. That's all you need.
- 39:32You don't need anything else. Yeah man, that's all you need.
- 39:35Honestly, he's got a talent. Bless him.
- 39:36Special, special talent. Bless his parents.
- 39:38He's got control, He's got power.
- 39:40He's incredible talent. Marshall, Marshall, It's got
- 39:44stuck in my head now. Most.
- 40:06Thing is, I'm not sure if I should laugh.
- 40:08I'm not going to laugh. But what did the captain say?
- 40:10It says basically when a Shia walks on the on the roads of
- 40:13Germany, so he's having someone with a saxophone making those
- 40:17noises. And normally we associate it
- 40:18with those who, you know, who's the drum, the drums and trumpets
- 40:22on the day of Ashura and mourning of Abu Abdullah Hussain
- 40:25Ali Salaam. I'm not going to laugh.
- 40:27It's funny, but I'm funny. It's funny.
- 40:29I can't laugh it. I love when we see.
- 40:31Shark crime. I call it shark crime.
- 40:33You know, there's a lot of St. performers who do stuff by the.
- 40:37Way, I'm not going to lie, I do that when someone presses the
- 40:39horn, you know sometimes like they go beep, beep, I'm like,
- 40:41how you doing? There's.
- 40:45This guy with a violin, I'll I'll have to find the video
- 40:47somewhere, but I love these performers.
- 40:50Even the stuff that I love. Last year, you'd find videos of
- 40:52St. performers doing the tune. Yes, yes.
- 40:54Or people reacting to it. People.
- 40:56Reacting the Nigerian Nigerian guy, YouTube reacted.
- 41:00Dancing to a Stockport a lot. Not like it.
- 41:03It's. I mean it's it's not like
- 41:06there's no insult in my opinion. I don't know.
- 41:09I like it. What's about the?
- 41:10German video. This is the last video by the
- 41:12way. The last video and we're going
- 41:13to do a couple dynamics. Take a sip of caffeine.
- 41:15One second. One second.
- 41:17Hi there. Yeah, Hossein.
- 41:22What's the bar? How to end over the Caraballa 1?
- 42:16Beautiful. Yeah, I see.
- 42:25Wow. Yeah, this is.
- 42:35The video goes on for quite a bit.
- 42:37Oh my. God, you shouldn't have quite
- 42:38say it. They should have continued.
- 42:40You should have took us to Ziara.
- 42:42I love like what? I This literally reminds you of
- 42:46the meaning of what the journey of love means.
- 42:51Shall we get the opportunity this year?
- 42:53I. Pray in Shawn.
- 42:55And we I wasn't lucky to go. It's previous hour behind on the
- 42:59walk and now this said you've upset me.
- 43:03It reminds me of the podcast with Ahmed Sadiq.
- 43:06This is the stuff we were talking about.
- 43:10Wow, what a visual masterpiece. The visuals, The cinematography,
- 43:14the editing, the cart. Where?
- 43:15Where did you find this or who did it?
- 43:18I can't remember, but I think we've posted on the LB TV
- 43:21YouTube as well so you can find it on there.
- 43:22The full video. Wow, It's a Panama.
- 43:26It reminds me of a similar one we've seen previously on a
- 43:29previous reaction we did actually.
- 43:31Yeah, Yeah, yeah. With Ali Basra, he's editing.
- 43:34One, yeah, yeah, yeah, when he done.
- 43:36Two months. I think that's what the video
- 43:38was called. I watch it.
- 43:39I watch it probably like 510 * a year.
- 43:41I'm not even joking. I'm.
- 43:42Not even going to lie, I've done it multiple times, yeah.
- 43:44It's amazing. Amazing, yeah.
- 43:47Ababdullah call us his, Yeah. Call us you're.
- 43:50Right his Well, that's coming up as well.
- 43:52Soon. Yeah.
- 43:53The mums are jealous. So I'm I'm so we can be there.
- 43:59Yeah. Well, fingers.
- 44:02Crossed. That'll be beautiful.
- 44:04Wow. OK, well, let's do one or two
- 44:05dilemma. How long have we got left?
- 44:06Or what? How far are we in Muslimah?
- 44:08We're. About 40 minutes in.
- 44:10So let's just do 2 dilemmas. We'll do 2 dilemmas and there
- 44:13were a few resolutions, people couple.
- 44:15Resolutions. Couple dilemmas, all right.
- 44:18Do you want to start? Should we Should we go with
- 44:20dilemmas or? What have you discussed?
- 44:23Have you got, have you got catches?
- 44:24Your eye in it. OK, fine, let's do a dilemma.
- 44:33OK, this is Cool Sama Alaikum. I'm a reciter and I've been
- 44:37asked to recite somewhere and they've asked me what my cost is
- 44:40to do a casita. What do I say?
- 44:42Why looking at me? Are you bro?
- 44:46It's not for me, OK? I know we dedicate the whole
- 44:49podcasters. You know, say it one more time.
- 44:51Say it one more time. Sama Alaikum.
- 44:53I'm a reciter. I've been asked to recite
- 44:56somewhere and they've asked me to do a casita.
- 44:57My cost is to do a casita. What do I say?
- 45:00So they want to know how much is his career, basically?
- 45:04But he said the word cost. Cost.
- 45:07Yeah, yeah. And he's saying.
- 45:09How can you go about that situation?
- 45:10The problem is, if you ask me, I'm gonna tell you it's
- 45:13priceless. Yeah, you can't put you can't
- 45:15put a figure on it. OK, so you're saying maybe the
- 45:17guy shouldn't say a number? It's up to him, OK, Yeah.
- 45:22And if you if you want a detailed answer to this, there's
- 45:25a conversation we've had about this in a previous episode where
- 45:30we found out people demand 5K for a measures or something.
- 45:34So it just depends what figure you want to put with this 5 lbs
- 45:37or five salawatts or $5000? Circumstantial, I think.
- 45:41Yeah, I I I mean, every case has its own.
- 45:45Yeah, discussion. Discussion.
- 45:46I like that five salawat thing, actually, yeah, because that
- 45:49will, that will weigh heavily in the hereafter.
- 45:51There you go. Let me give you how you see it.
- 45:53So I stole things when I was younger from a shop and I don't
- 45:57know how to fix my past. I stole things when I was
- 46:02younger from a shop and I don't know how to fix my past.
- 46:06OK, do we know how old they were?
- 46:09No. Can I give my gun my OK, so I
- 46:13did the same thing, all right? Like, I'd done that when I was
- 46:16younger. Not proud of it, obviously.
- 46:19I'm. Priest.
- 46:20So yeah, not. Confession Booth.
- 46:25No, like in the when I was young I did that a couple of times.
- 46:29I was, I was like really, really immature, childish about it.
- 46:37Never anything like too much or like it was just stupid things
- 46:41like sweets and things like that, right?
- 46:44But the guilt eats me alive, ate me alive for a very long time,
- 46:48even till now. Even though I've, you know,
- 46:50inshallah I've repented, hopefully, inshallah it's
- 46:51forgiven. But I don't know what to say.
- 46:54I mean from what I understood you can repay the value what you
- 46:58think it is to the shop owner. So I I did that.
- 47:00I walked into a shop one day and I like tipped the guy the amount
- 47:04I thought I owed him basically. And I and I knew it was the same
- 47:08shop, same owners, you know, from before because it's in the
- 47:12same area and whatnot. So that's for me.
- 47:15But obviously at the end of the day, these kind of things come
- 47:18down to your knee when it comes to asking for forgiveness.
- 47:21Like you have to be sincere, You have to remember it and you
- 47:26know, you forgive, you pray for forgiveness, but you yourself
- 47:30don't forget it. So you make the knee and never
- 47:32to do anything of the same style again or on any different level
- 47:36because you might steal money unknowingly.
- 47:38You know, you might take more, might make more income and not
- 47:41keep the money and you know, not pay your tax on it, for example,
- 47:44whatever it might be, do different things, but it's a
- 47:46difficult one, man. It's a very, very tricky
- 47:49situation to be in. So yeah, I don't know the a calm
- 47:53answer, but and that's what I would have done.
- 47:56And yeah, I would say #1, the fact you have, I mean you've
- 48:01asked that yours very beautifully by the way.
- 48:03And and the way you've said it and the way you dealt with it
- 48:05and how you felt about it is amazing.
- 48:07But just for the brother here or sister, I don't know who he is.
- 48:11I think that the fact that you're thinking about it you
- 48:13have that sense of guilt already that's that's a step towards you
- 48:18know seeking Ester part towards the the the door of repentance
- 48:21of the last part of the town and the fact you were young.
- 48:24I was going to say I don't know that I come but I I think if
- 48:26you're not like valid you're not reached the age of Islamic
- 48:29maturity. For example technically there's
- 48:31no halal Haram for you there's as in there is halal that is
- 48:34Haram but there's no like sin counted against you.
- 48:38I don't know, Arsenal. We'll look into this, maybe on
- 48:40their behalf. Kind of revelation of things are
- 48:42swears upon, but are you saying that?
- 48:44Yeah. Bro, I'm thinking of things I
- 48:46did when I was 1011. Good.
- 48:51I look I keep you wrong. Good.
- 48:52We need to clarify this point. But some of the but I do
- 48:55remember like halal and Haram. Yeah wait either maybe halal
- 48:59Haram does kick in. Maybe it's the wajiba that don't
- 49:01kick in. I could be wrong.
- 49:02We'll clarify it. We'll find the clarification of.
- 49:05This you're not liable for the sins that you did try to below.
- 49:08You're right, but I would say it still weighs on you.
- 49:10Yeah, You know, I wasn't you having that thought.
- 49:12You've, you know, you've come to a conclusion that what you did
- 49:15was wrong. That's enough.
- 49:17And I have a lot of people to say, you know, I, I, I admit
- 49:19what I did was wrong. I did injustice.
- 49:22You know, I took someone's half away.
- 49:23Yeah. To understand.
- 49:24So just go back. If you're mature enough, just go
- 49:26back and say look, when I was younger I walked in one day and
- 49:30I took a sweet, I don't know, I took a pack of crisps.
- 49:31I took, I don't know, a magazine.
- 49:34I bought a bar of chocolate. It was at that time, I don't
- 49:37know well my days. A bar of chocolate like a Dairy
- 49:40Milk whole nut used to be like 30 pence, now it's £1.50 for.
- 49:45A little slab. From the petrol station when you
- 49:47want to go grab. Yeah.
- 49:48Anyway, so I don't know how much it is at that at that time.
- 49:50Maybe just tell them This is why I did.
- 49:51He may say I forgive you. Don't worry about to go away.
- 49:53The fact you've done this. Forgive us, Charlotte.
- 49:55Forgive Knives of a Lost Pilot. But most of what's most
- 49:58important? Let's just see forgiveness from
- 50:00a lost. Yeah.
- 50:02No, you're very right. OK, last one.
- 50:05I I want to be an Islander, but I'm a girl.
- 50:10I want to be an Islander, but I'm a girl who said there isn't
- 50:13any female Islanders. Yeah, that's exactly what I'm
- 50:17thinking. You.
- 50:18You I study, but I think you just can't reach this the level.
- 50:22Of no there there are female like scholars and things.
- 50:26You've had female. Scholars on the podcast.
- 50:28But you cannot. I don't know.
- 50:29I don't know the ruling because I think you cannot become a
- 50:31merger, A jurist. I think that was the one, yeah.
- 50:34Yeah, I mean you. There's nothing wrong with it.
- 50:36You can. You can study to the level of
- 50:38Ayatollah merger, but I don't think you could get the title.
- 50:42Yeah, but the point being is that you can become an island, a
- 50:44Dean. There's nothing wrong with.
- 50:46From a from a, which is obviously a much lower level.
- 50:49If you talk about like in terms of your years of knowledge, we
- 50:53there's female scholars. And you know society, the fact
- 50:55she's asked this question I'm assuming you know she's she's
- 50:58looking to seek knowledge in Charlotte.
- 50:59May Allah bless her in this path is that in our societies people
- 51:03always assume like everything falls on the shoulders of men.
- 51:07Like you have a question, you go ask a male scholar.
- 51:10Yeah. You you know you you want some
- 51:12Islamic advice. You go to a male scholar.
- 51:14You want everything has to be done by a male scholar, for
- 51:17example, who says you can't do with the females.
- 51:19Maybe it's on on the our responsibility as a community to
- 51:22make it more known that women can and should study and also to
- 51:26give more opportunities. Like when I was young, I know
- 51:27now, like in the Iraqi community and other communities around me,
- 51:31I knew there were like female Lamar.
- 51:34How about that? Yeah, that existed.
- 51:36So I think it depends where you, where you come from and in the
- 51:39communities you're in. But there's, you know, London
- 51:42is. A big thing to have female
- 51:44scholars. Really.
- 51:46Yeah, but what I think it is sort of.
- 51:48Correct me if I'm wrong, maybe most of you you can echo my
- 51:50words here, but the majority of female scholars that I knew were
- 51:53even married to a scholar or they were daughters of scholars.
- 51:58I think that the the issue is it's hard.
- 52:00It's hard to find a place to study, to study.
- 52:02To become a female scholar like Hauser isn't as easily as.
- 52:05There are places. There are here, of course, but
- 52:07she's not as easy accessible. And you can even do like
- 52:10mainstream universities have courses as well.
- 52:12Obviously they're not like Hauser, but you can study
- 52:15Islamic studies at university. If I'm not wrong, for example
- 52:18Khatim Nabin in London has class.
- 52:20Classes for Islamic College. Online E houses as well They
- 52:25take female. Academy female candidates,
- 52:28there's different I can think of in London, I can think of three
- 52:30or four, you know, and even some of them are lower levels in
- 52:33terms of commitment. So in Stanmore, in my local
- 52:36community, they have an Academy. I went for a few years, they've
- 52:39run it till now on a weekly basis.
- 52:41They have an island come in who will go through something.
- 52:45It could be Tafasir, it could be Arkad, it could be Tadir, it
- 52:50could be Kalaki or whatever it is, but like just on a
- 52:55foundation level for you then to go and dip your toes further
- 52:59into a certain field of studies. And also we have Jamaah Knights.
- 53:05Some people can can. People can study on there, not
- 53:07on a level like there's there's a lot.
- 53:09Of I would say go to your local resident island or something and
- 53:13ask that question. Yeah, I want to pursue this path
- 53:16path of knowledge. I want to become a a high limer
- 53:19what's the steps to it? I.
- 53:19Said and if it doesn't exist, they'll help you create those
- 53:22steps. Yeah.
- 53:23Beautiful generation. Beautiful.
- 53:24Yeah. We all are a water, inshallah.
- 53:26We do have some New Year resolutions.
- 53:28Let's do that. Let's do a few.
- 53:29We'll share some. So we asked a question on
- 53:33Instagram and we said what's your New Year's resolution?
- 53:37Peeps for people don't know what peeps means.
- 53:40People, basically. I'm guessing you didn't post
- 53:43that I. Definitely didn't post that.
- 53:45I would have said yeah, you know me.
- 53:54So someone said catch up with Kavanamaz.
- 53:58Oh. I think that's a big one.
- 54:00Wow, that's a huge. Huge.
- 54:02Huge. Huge.
- 54:03Huge. Huge.
- 54:04We could all do it if we've got any.
- 54:06Shallah, someone said to subscribe to After Maghrib if
- 54:11you haven't already, then I don't know why you're watching
- 54:13the show. Never miss us Allah
- 54:16intentionally and pray all of it, not just Farah.
- 54:20Wow. I write that.
- 54:23Be more spiritual, Read more books to ponder upon the verses
- 54:27of Quran. I think that's so important.
- 54:29Beautiful. Beautiful.
- 54:30Because, you know, we can. We always mention this on some
- 54:32pop conversations we have where we say, you know, we just read
- 54:34like parrots without reflecting or pondering or trying to
- 54:38understand the wisdom behind each each of us.
- 54:42If you're sorry said to follow. Rosola Salallahu Ali, Hawaii is
- 54:44selling, you know, he says, An hour of reflection as well. 70
- 54:47years of worship and the fact you want to take this into your
- 54:50New Year resolution? You're on the right track.
- 54:52I mean you could do like you could either do it the the fast
- 54:58track way over the year and you could look at 2 sodas a week for
- 55:02example, on average 108 weeks or 108 sodas and 140 out of 100 and
- 55:07whatever average about two a week.
- 55:10Complete the year by studying, even on a very surface level.
- 55:15Read the the fast year and even read the soda itself, obviously
- 55:19in the commentary of it and whatnot.
- 55:21And then by that time, the end of the year comes you've looked
- 55:23at the majority of the Holy of Quran in to a good level.
- 55:28Like there's a lot of us. You know we would have maybe
- 55:31heard of the name of a sworda and we'd be like, yeah, I've
- 55:33heard of the sworda, but I don't know what it's about or I don't
- 55:36know the message, I don't know where where it was revealed,
- 55:39what the context it was revealed in.
- 55:41Or even if you don't want to do it on a mass level, you could
- 55:44even do it on a on a more like you said an hour of reflection.
- 55:47So you could, you could focus on a specific sword for the month,
- 55:51sort of this 12 surahs across the year by the end of the year.
- 55:54I think that's nice. Actually, I'd prefer to do that
- 55:56on a personal level by the end of the year.
- 55:58You know, 12 Surahs really well. You know, you can drop the
- 56:01verses, you know the the commentary, you know the history
- 56:03behind it. You know the way in which the we
- 56:06love the Sora in today's daily age and its relevance.
- 56:09Yeah, I really, really like that answer.
- 56:12And by the way, even like we can say pause pondering on the
- 56:15verses, I try to understand the context of the of the actual
- 56:19Sora itself because I love well the stories at the end of the
- 56:22day, 99% of them, like the majority of my actual stories I
- 56:26remember as a child. I still always have Quranic
- 56:28stories and they're so beautiful and they're still alive with us
- 56:31till today. And I mean, if we can not just
- 56:34like ponder on the verses or read the Quran, but actually try
- 56:36to understand what that story is, what's the moral behind
- 56:39every, every chapter there is in the Quran?
- 56:41Well, I think it will really help.
- 56:43Yeah. Yeah, Yeah.
- 56:43Down the line, you're going to come one day, 5-6, ten years.
- 56:46You're going to say, you know what, I just remembered a moral
- 56:50from that pondering I did or from that, you know, tafsir that
- 56:53I did and you can implement it. They come in, they come into
- 56:56play in the most random. Part They do.
- 56:57They really do. Random part of your day.
- 56:59You know, I remember this prophet, or I remember this
- 57:01story of this of, of this community in history or
- 57:05whatever, which Allah blessed or punished or whatever it might
- 57:07be. And those are really small
- 57:10moments where you're like, you know what?
- 57:11I'm grateful I did that. I'm going to read two more.
- 57:14OK, quicker ones. Yeah.
- 57:17Becoming a better Muslim and taking care of myself physically
- 57:21and mentally. Nice.
- 57:22I think they go hand in hand 100% and you, you, they do go on
- 57:27hand then they do, they do, they do 100%.
- 57:29Yeah, there's another one. Just say gone 19th.
- 57:34Of January, we're doing an event with a mental health specialist
- 57:37in London. Yes, talking about mental health
- 57:40at SOAS University. So if you are in London, check
- 57:43out SOAS Absoc on Instagram. We're going to be there with
- 57:46Doctor Sarfraz Jiraj, who's like an incredible, incredible
- 57:50psychiatrist and he's worked with Azure Bait TV in the past.
- 57:54He's very reliable. So check it out, get your
- 57:57tickets and be there. Be square.
- 57:59I'm looking forward to that event, yeah.
- 58:01And I'll say the last resolution, because brothers
- 58:04like 10s and 10s and 10s and it's only fair we read as much
- 58:07as we can. Last one I've chosen is this to
- 58:10be kind and gentle with the people around me.
- 58:12Very. Nice.
- 58:13Why I chose that one? Because it it it reminded me of
- 58:17a beautiful saying by Imam Ali Ali Salaam, I know.
- 58:21I'm going to say what? What was it?
- 58:23Act in such a way with people where your presence, they crave
- 58:26you and wouldn't. Accent Live amongst.
- 58:27People, I miss you. Live amongst people in such a
- 58:30manner that if you are, if you are alive, they crave your
- 58:33company, and if you are dead, they.
- 58:37Miss you they. Miss you, basically, yeah.
- 58:39That that's like. I knew you was going to say.
