Season 3, Episode 7: Unknown Death God(?)
This is Drabbletober, the podcast of tiny fiction.
Hello, and welcome to Drabbletober. This is episode 7, season 3, for Wednesday the seventh of October 2026, and I'm Elizabeth Guilt.
Your one-hundred word story for the day is:
Unknown death god(?)
by Elizabeth Guilt
It started as a joke.
The history teacher herded us onto a bus to visit a local archaeological dig. Bits of clay pots, unreadable inscriptions on grave markers, corroded twists of metal. The usual.
A cabinet labelled "Religion" was full of things no-one could identify. A card described a blobby lump as "Unknown death god(?)"…
