- 0:08Speaker 1: Scrible advice. Hello laa laallll. Welcome to the Naughty button
- 0:16Speaker 1: Nice Show. I'm your host, Rob Shooter. It is Tuesday,
- 0:19Speaker 1: which means our dear friend Elena Dixon joins us. Hemist,
- 0:23Speaker 1: You're back, how are you? I am back. I went
- 0:26Speaker 1: to Georgia. I took my sister to see Jesus Christ
- 0:29Speaker 1: Superstar and we had a blast. Everything's all right with
- 0:34Speaker 1: the Dixon sisters. Welcome back, my friend. Let's jump into
- 0:39Speaker 1: the show. We've got so much gossip to get to
- 0:42Speaker 1: our show. Yesterday on the Oscars Exploded. I just saw
- 0:45Speaker 1: the numbers this morning, so welcome, welcome, Welcome, Hello, lower Low.
- 0:49Speaker 1: To all our new listeners, we love having you join
- 0:52Speaker 1: us here on the Naughty but Nice Show. And today
- 0:54Speaker 1: we have a big lead story. What time is it,
- 0:56Speaker 1: my friends, it's tea time. So I know a hit
- 1:00Speaker 1: when I see it. So we're going to keep riding
- 1:02Speaker 1: this Oscar train because apparently that's what you love. The
- 1:06Speaker 1: big Oscar story of the day is the fans are
- 1:09Speaker 1: defending Angela Bassett's clear disappointment over the fact that she
- 1:15Speaker 1: lost the award to Jamie Lee Curtis. So when Curtis
- 1:19Speaker 1: beat out the Black Panther Star. Everybody was surprised. I
- 1:24Speaker 1: think even Angela Bassett. She thought she was going to
- 1:27Speaker 1: win Best Supporting Actress. If you're remember, I think it
- 1:31Speaker 1: was in nineteen ninety two or ninety three. We all
- 1:34Speaker 1: thought she would win for Tina Turners. What's Love got
- 1:37Speaker 1: to do with it? It's a great movie. She lost,
- 1:39Speaker 1: and so I think we thought the Academy was going
- 1:43Speaker 1: to fix that wrong. On Sunday night, they did not well.
- 1:48Speaker 1: When Jamie Lee Curtis's name was announced, Angela noticeably did
- 1:53Speaker 1: not smile, did not stand up. The sixty four year
- 1:57Speaker 1: old looked crushed. And now many of her fans and
- 2:02Speaker 1: people that are not maybe that bigger fans, are going
- 2:05Speaker 1: after her on Twitter. People that don't really support her
- 2:09Speaker 1: are saying it was a shady move and she's a
- 2:12Speaker 1: sore loser. However, people that love Angela are saying something
- 2:16Speaker 1: totally different, saying Angela is allowed to be visibly disappointed
- 2:21Speaker 1: that she didn't win. Another person said quote, I actually
- 2:24Speaker 1: appreciate that Angela didn't put a face on a smiley
- 2:28Speaker 1: face for the sake of being a good sport. I'm
- 2:32Speaker 1: mixed on this, misty. I always encourage people to be
- 2:35Speaker 1: truthful and to really live your feelings. So if you
- 2:38Speaker 1: don't want to smile and you're not happy, you don't
- 2:41Speaker 1: have to. However, and an award show, should you just
- 2:45Speaker 1: put on a fake spile? What do you think? Oh?
- 2:47Speaker 1: I think you can have that half smile where you're like, oh,
- 2:50Speaker 1: this is great. It's not me And let's face it,
- 2:55Speaker 1: nobody likes to lose. We forget that these are human beings. Yes,
- 2:59Speaker 1: they're paid lots of money and they're wearing fabulous dresses,
- 3:01Speaker 1: and you know what, just for that they're winning. But
- 3:04Speaker 1: it still hurts when you don't win something, especially if
- 3:07Speaker 1: you thought you were going to win. So I think
- 3:10Speaker 1: you can understand that she was a little bit upset.
- 3:12Speaker 1: But we have to think about Jamie Lee Curtis's first nomination,
- 3:15Speaker 1: first win, so we have to be happy for that.
- 3:18Speaker 1: And Angela, Hey, if you're feeling bad, just go home
- 3:20Speaker 1: and look at those golden globes sitting on your mantle
- 3:24Speaker 1: right now. Won the Golden Globe for Wakondo Forever, won
- 3:28Speaker 1: a Golden Globe for her work, and what's love got
- 3:30Speaker 1: to do with it? So it's not like she's lost
- 3:32Speaker 1: out entirely. The Oscar has eluded her. But Honey, that
- 3:35Speaker 1: just means that you're just going to keep acting for
- 3:37Speaker 1: the next ten years until they give you your award.
- 3:41Speaker 1: You know, I think you just really said something important.
- 3:44Speaker 1: It's not over yet. Angela's just sixty four years old.
- 3:48Speaker 1: She's got many years ahead of her. I choose to
- 3:52Speaker 1: believe that every day, my best day is ahead of me. Mystery,
- 3:57Speaker 1: I really believe that. I want to believe. Maybe I'm
- 3:59Speaker 1: an opts, but I believe tomorrow is going to be better.
- 4:02Speaker 1: That I'm not on a decline. I get better as
- 4:06Speaker 1: I get older, I have more experience, I've learned more.
- 4:10Speaker 1: I'm much better at doing this now than I was
- 4:13Speaker 1: ten years ago. When we had our own morning show, Misty,
- 4:16Speaker 1: we weren't that good, which was a really fun experience,
- 4:19Speaker 1: but we learned on the job. That's why I hate
- 4:21Speaker 1: the expression faking it till you make it, because you're
- 4:25Speaker 1: not faking it. You're doing the work. You're doing the
- 4:28Speaker 1: work every day. You might not be great at it,
- 4:31Speaker 1: but if you do the work, you will get better
- 4:33Speaker 1: and better and better. There's no doubt that Angela is
- 4:35Speaker 1: one of the best in the business. But it's not
- 4:37Speaker 1: over yet, So people that are defending her, I love
- 4:40Speaker 1: your support for Angela, and I do actually think it's
- 4:43Speaker 1: a really good point. Why should you smile when you're disappointed?
- 4:47Speaker 1: Why can't you be allowed to be disappointed? She really
- 4:50Speaker 1: wanted to win, that ask her. I think she thought
- 4:53Speaker 1: it was hers and to not win, she was absolutely gutted.
- 4:57Speaker 1: So part of me loves the honors to hear. But
- 5:00Speaker 1: I want to know is what do you think fans
- 5:03Speaker 1: are defending Angela Bassett's disappointment over not winning the Oscar.
- 5:09Speaker 1: Should she have pretended to be happy? What do you
- 5:12Speaker 1: think should she have? We've all done it, mystery. Maybe
- 5:16Speaker 1: not at the Oscars, but when a friends told us
- 5:18Speaker 1: something that we didn't really want to hear, or when
- 5:20Speaker 1: somebody in that family has said something normally a grandparent
- 5:24Speaker 1: that you don't really agree with. You have just normally politics.
- 5:27Speaker 1: You just have to smile, So you put on your
- 5:30Speaker 1: Oscar winning smile. Oh that's just fine, and she have
- 5:35Speaker 1: pretended to be happy. Go vote on a Twitter page
- 5:38Speaker 1: naughty nice Rob or at Facebook page naughtyssip, and be
- 5:41Speaker 1: sure to drink back tomorrow to hear your results. Hey,
- 5:45Speaker 1: mistery what are you working on? Well, Rob, you know,
- 5:48Speaker 1: there's that huge Vanity Fair party that everybody goes to
- 5:52Speaker 1: during the Oscars for the Oscars, and so of course
- 5:56Speaker 1: Hailey Bieber was there. She was looking fabulous and a
- 5:59Speaker 1: black Saint Lauri on dress. But then we have to
- 6:02Speaker 1: talk about her husband, Justin, who looked like he showed
- 6:05Speaker 1: up in a blanket with a backwards hap. So what
- 6:09Speaker 1: sources are saying is that he came in and a
- 6:11Speaker 1: back entrance, met Haley inside. And then another insider claimed
- 6:16Speaker 1: that the Canadian actor looked tormented and weird attending in
- 6:20Speaker 1: the party and a blanket. Maybe this is a new
- 6:23Speaker 1: style on the runway. Who knows. Of course, though Vanity
- 6:26Speaker 1: Fair did release their own photos, their own notes, and
- 6:29Speaker 1: they said that basically Justin was hanging out with all
- 6:32Speaker 1: sorts of other people. Yes, they said it did look
- 6:35Speaker 1: like he was in a blanket. He went up to
- 6:37Speaker 1: Clipper Star Russell Westbrook who was clad head to toe
- 6:41Speaker 1: and Tom Brown. Justin, maybe take some notes. And you know,
- 6:45Speaker 1: hours before we saw Justin on Instagram he was supporting Haley.
- 6:49Speaker 1: He was saying how beautiful his wife look, Love you baby.
- 6:52Speaker 1: Some people who are you know, team Selena, our team
- 6:55Speaker 1: Haley took this as an insult to Selena Gomez, his
- 6:59Speaker 1: ex girlfriend. There's some kind of war on TikTok. You
- 7:02Speaker 1: can explain it, Rob, but you know what, she looked fabulous.
- 7:05Speaker 1: I'm sure Selena looked fabulous wherever she was and everybody
- 7:08Speaker 1: should just be happy. It was a fun night. Yeah,
- 7:11Speaker 1: I hear you on this one. I am. I'm a
- 7:13Speaker 1: bit concerned about Justin if the truth be told. We
- 7:16Speaker 1: know he struggled with mental health issues. He canceled his
- 7:19Speaker 1: tour because of that. And to go to the Vanity
- 7:22Speaker 1: Fair Oscar party, were in a blanket. You know this
- 7:24Speaker 1: press there. It's one of the few nights of the
- 7:26Speaker 1: year where you absolutely are going to guarantee that there's
- 7:29Speaker 1: an enormous amount of press there. So if you don't
- 7:32Speaker 1: feel like going out or dressing up, get of your
- 7:34Speaker 1: local restaurant, or don't go out at all, have friends over.
- 7:37Speaker 1: My goodness, you live in magnificent palace. Is so to
- 7:40Speaker 1: turn up in a blanket, even if you go through
- 7:43Speaker 1: the back door. You know this press inside. I've been
- 7:45Speaker 1: to that party. It's wild, Misty, It's everywhere you look,
- 7:50Speaker 1: there's another celebrity, and there's press people everywhere, just literally
- 7:53Speaker 1: crawling with press people who are invited by Vanity Fair.
- 7:56Speaker 1: So don't feel like the press are they're not invited,
- 7:59Speaker 1: they are in. I did. Vanity Fair wants to get
- 8:01Speaker 1: publicity from this. So it's just curious why somebody who
- 8:04Speaker 1: seems so shy, who doesn't want to get any attention,
- 8:07Speaker 1: why they would go to that party. There's so many
- 8:09Speaker 1: other parties to go to, private parties at people's homes.
- 8:13Speaker 1: I hope he's doing okay. And let's point out to
- 8:16Speaker 1: that our friends over at page six were the first
- 8:18Speaker 1: to report this a good scoop. Hey, moving along, Michelle,
- 8:22Speaker 1: you appears to have taken aim at CNN's Don Lemon
- 8:27Speaker 1: during her Oscar speech. He has ignored the dig. So
- 8:32Speaker 1: when MICHELLEO accepted the Oscar Best Actress, it appeared that
- 8:38Speaker 1: she was having a swipe at CNN's Don Lemon. It
- 8:41Speaker 1: was really emotional. She lifted up her golden statue and said, quote,
- 8:46Speaker 1: this is proof that dreams, big dreams, dreams do come true.
- 8:53Speaker 1: And ladies, don't let anyone tell you that you're past
- 8:58Speaker 1: your prime. That's a line that Don Lemon said, implied
- 9:04Speaker 1: against presidential hopeful Nicky Hailey. We've talked about that on
- 9:08Speaker 1: the show. It exploded, and I think it's something that
- 9:11Speaker 1: really stuck with women. Having a man have anyone tell
- 9:14Speaker 1: you that you past your prime is just so so wrong.
- 9:17Speaker 1: So I love the fact that she addressed this. However,
- 9:22Speaker 1: on Monday's show, Don talks about Michelle Willing the Oscar
- 9:27Speaker 1: making history, but he didn't mention the fact that in
- 9:32Speaker 1: that his staric moment, that he staric speech, she took
- 9:37Speaker 1: a little bit of a dig at him. What do
- 9:39Speaker 1: you think? I think that was probably the right decision
- 9:42Speaker 1: because he didn't need to insert himself anymore into her story, right,
- 9:47Speaker 1: you know? You know what I'm saying here. So, and
- 9:49Speaker 1: it's very interesting because when you think of many of
- 9:53Speaker 1: women and celebrities politics have said this as a man
- 9:56Speaker 1: gets older, as he's considered wise and very aur benair,
- 10:00Speaker 1: and a lot of times they say about a woman basically, oh,
- 10:03Speaker 1: she's washed up, she'll never do anything again. And we
- 10:06Speaker 1: just see from Michelle Yo and Jamie Lee Curtis and
- 10:10Speaker 1: Angela Bassett that it's just the beginning, or you know,
- 10:14Speaker 1: you're right in it. It's not time to stop. You
- 10:17Speaker 1: keep going, you keep making it happen. And I just
- 10:20Speaker 1: have a little advice for mister don Lemon. Now, we
- 10:23Speaker 1: know people tune into the show to see what he's
- 10:26Speaker 1: going to say. That's controversial, that is what he's established.
- 10:29Speaker 1: And as long as you make sure it's about what
- 10:31Speaker 1: people do their actions, that might be fair game. But
- 10:36Speaker 1: when you get into things that you can't control, which
- 10:39Speaker 1: is your age, your race, your gender, your sexual orientation,
- 10:44Speaker 1: and you start commenting on people based on that, that's
- 10:48Speaker 1: when it becomes a problem. So stay away from that,
- 10:52Speaker 1: stick to the facts and what people are doing and
- 10:54Speaker 1: analyze that. Yeah, I think you're absolutely right, and I
- 10:57Speaker 1: do think it probably was wise for him to ignore
- 11:01Speaker 1: it because once again he'd make the whole story about himself,
- 11:04Speaker 1: which is something that at the moment, we don't need, Tom,
- 11:07Speaker 1: it's not your moment. Hey, Moving along, what's going on
- 11:10Speaker 1: with Amy row back t J. Holmes. We know about
- 11:13Speaker 1: their affair. Now we're finding out something very interesting about
- 11:17Speaker 1: her daughter. Yeah, so she has this daughter named Annalise,
- 11:21Speaker 1: and Annalise is keeping her relationship alive with her stepfather,
- 11:25Speaker 1: Andrew Shoe. So basically she showed us a glimpse of
- 11:28Speaker 1: her spending time with him and his son Nate, following
- 11:32Speaker 1: her mother's PDA filled because she loves that With t
- 11:35Speaker 1: J Holmes, the two x GMA anchor, so Annelie, she
- 11:40Speaker 1: shared an Instagram story photo of herself with Andrew and
- 11:44Speaker 1: his eldest son. It was on March twelve, with an
- 11:47Speaker 1: upside down smiley face emojis now social media. The social
- 11:53Speaker 1: media upload comes after Annelie and her sister Eva showed
- 11:57Speaker 1: their support for Nate's film since or this week. So yeah,
- 12:01Speaker 1: Andrew's son made a film and they were supporting so now.
- 12:04Speaker 1: The former ABC reporter Amy shares her kids with Tim McIntosh,
- 12:10Speaker 1: So she was married to him. From nineteen ninety six
- 12:13Speaker 1: to two thousand and eight, she was married to Jennifer Haganey.
- 12:16Speaker 1: This is the parents, but it's really just interesting to
- 12:19Speaker 1: see this relationship that he has with his stepchildren that
- 12:23Speaker 1: during their marriage they made such a strong connection that
- 12:27Speaker 1: even though her mother has moved on from him, they
- 12:30Speaker 1: have decided not to move on from that relation. Gosh,
- 12:33Speaker 1: this is tricky, isn't it. So when they were together
- 12:36Speaker 1: Amy and Andrew's shoe, they gushed about this blended family.
- 12:40Speaker 1: He brought three sons. I believe from his first marriage
- 12:43Speaker 1: into the new family, and she brought two daughters, and
- 12:47Speaker 1: they all got along really well. And I read stories
- 12:49Speaker 1: about them all having dinner together, all sitting dan together.
- 12:52Speaker 1: I've been to Amy's apartment and I can tell you
- 12:55Speaker 1: all the kids had their own rooms. And so they
- 12:57Speaker 1: really were set up as one big, blended family. And
- 13:00Speaker 1: that wasn't just for six months or a yarpe for
- 13:03Speaker 1: a really long time. And so now, even though Amy
- 13:06Speaker 1: and Andrew have split up, that relationship with their step children,
- 13:12Speaker 1: their brothers, their sisters, their stepbrothers and sisters still go strong.
- 13:16Speaker 1: It's tricky because you want to support your mom, I guess,
- 13:19Speaker 1: But at the same time you have these really really
- 13:21Speaker 1: strong emotional bonds. Hey, I hope they all work it out.
- 13:24Speaker 1: It's very very complicated, isn't it. But best to look
- 13:27Speaker 1: to all of you quickly before we get a break.
- 13:29Speaker 1: There's a new book out that says Prince Williams and
- 13:33Speaker 1: Kate Middleton's marriage might seem perfect, but it's not all sweetness.
- 13:37Speaker 1: So behind closed palace doors, they are just like us. Mystery,
- 13:43Speaker 1: I see you leaning in. So Tom Quinn has a
- 13:46Speaker 1: new book out, The Gilded Youth, and intimate story of
- 13:50Speaker 1: growing up in the royal family, and it talks at
- 13:53Speaker 1: great length about William and Kate. They have nicknames for
- 13:58Speaker 1: one another. She calls him Babe and he calls her
- 14:01Speaker 1: Duchess of Doolittle, which is a joke that the Queen
- 14:05Speaker 1: was apparently not happy when they got together that she
- 14:08Speaker 1: did not have a job. She didn't have a full
- 14:10Speaker 1: time job, so they said she did nothing. Hence the
- 14:14Speaker 1: Duchess of Doolittle. Kind of funny. In the book, they
- 14:17Speaker 1: say that they do fight, though they do scream. They
- 14:20Speaker 1: say that he's got a much more hot temper than
- 14:24Speaker 1: she does. She's very calming, she doesn't stir things up.
- 14:28Speaker 1: She wants everybody to get along, and they remind us
- 14:31Speaker 1: to which I think here is a dig at Meghan
- 14:34Speaker 1: that when Kate first joined the family, not only was
- 14:37Speaker 1: the Queen really harsh, the press was really hard. They
- 14:41Speaker 1: made fun of her because her mother was a stewardess,
- 14:44Speaker 1: that's what they called them in those days. She worked
- 14:46Speaker 1: on a flight and they wouldn't invite Kate to the
- 14:50Speaker 1: big family events because she really was a commoner. Princess
- 14:53Speaker 1: Diana was not a commoner. She was Lady Diana, and
- 14:56Speaker 1: so Kate was just Kate Middleton. Her family had a
- 14:59Speaker 1: lot of money, but they were not from the upper
- 15:02Speaker 1: chlunce of society, and the press really looked down their
- 15:06Speaker 1: nose at her, like she was a working class girl.
- 15:10Speaker 1: But Kate never responded. That's the digget Megan, isn't it.
- 15:13Speaker 1: They said, she didn't complain. She never responded in quote,
- 15:17Speaker 1: she didn't write let us to the press or call
- 15:19Speaker 1: of the editors complaining. I liked this story, except I
- 15:24Speaker 1: don't like that there's definitely a dig there. Well, you
- 15:28Speaker 1: gotta put your spin on it. And hey, he's not
- 15:30Speaker 1: telling us anything that we didn't already know. Couples fight
- 15:33Speaker 1: and they get over it, and they make up and
- 15:35Speaker 1: they move on. And I totally understand that that was
- 15:39Speaker 1: her decision that she didn't want to say anything, because
- 15:42Speaker 1: obviously she knew at some point she would be queen
- 15:44Speaker 1: and that was kind of the role that she felt.
- 15:47Speaker 1: I think the biggest difference between her and Megan is
- 15:50Speaker 1: a lot of the press, and we didn't see it
- 15:52Speaker 1: here so much in America, but from what we've heard,
- 15:55Speaker 1: the press in England really honed in on her race
- 15:58Speaker 1: and made some really incredibly derogatory statements about comparing her
- 16:04Speaker 1: and her children to certain animals. I mean, there were
- 16:07Speaker 1: kind of things made about death threats. And when you
- 16:09Speaker 1: get to that level, when it becomes solely based on race,
- 16:13Speaker 1: I think you have to say something because you put
- 16:16Speaker 1: other people because they assume, well, if you're saying this
- 16:19Speaker 1: about Megan, this is what we can say about any
- 16:22Speaker 1: person of color, which can lead to something that becomes physical.
- 16:26Speaker 1: And I think that's where the biggest different is different path. Absolutely. Hey,
- 16:32Speaker 1: we're going to take a quick break and we will
- 16:33Speaker 1: be right back. Welcome back to the Hey, we're not
- 16:40Speaker 1: going to get to the pole today because I didn't
- 16:41Speaker 1: do one yesterday, but don't forget to vote on today's pole.
- 16:44Speaker 1: Go to our Twitter page at Naughty Nice romb or
- 16:46Speaker 1: at Facebook page Naughty Girls. I'm be sure to check
- 16:49Speaker 1: back tomorrow to hear your results. And now it's time
- 16:53Speaker 1: for a nicest of the day. Well, our nicest of
- 16:58Speaker 1: the day is Kim Karnet because she's finally breaking her
- 17:02Speaker 1: silence on her ex husband Kanye West is a relationship
- 17:05Speaker 1: with his new wife Bianca since Sori. You know, they
- 17:09Speaker 1: very quietly got married a few weeks ago or just
- 17:12Speaker 1: a couple months ago. So you know, Kim is feeling
- 17:16Speaker 1: happy for her ex. According to a source at US Weekly,
- 17:20Speaker 1: and they say Kim is actually glad that Kanye has
- 17:23Speaker 1: found someone that makes him happy. She knows they had
- 17:26Speaker 1: both completely moved on from the relationship. She meets her
- 17:30Speaker 1: and Kanye and she wants nothing but the best for
- 17:33Speaker 1: him now. Of course, and Sori Bianca, she's a twenty
- 17:37Speaker 1: eight year old Australian native. She's an architectural designer, very
- 17:40Speaker 1: smart woman. They've kept the relationship very quiet. She and Kanye.
- 17:45Speaker 1: They did take a trip to Universal Studios. Of course,
- 17:48Speaker 1: we got the pictures, and they took nine year old
- 17:51Speaker 1: Kanye's nine year old daughter Northwest and it seemed like
- 17:54Speaker 1: they were having a really nice time. So Kim wants
- 17:58Speaker 1: the best, and I think that's all she should want.
- 18:01Speaker 1: Well done, Kim, keeping taking the high road. And now
- 18:04Speaker 1: I notice the day naughty Bethany Frankel is saying that
- 18:08Speaker 1: Anna Winter cut the Kardashians from the met Darla to
- 18:11Speaker 1: class it up. So Bethany seems to jump on all
- 18:14Speaker 1: these big stories and make it really about herself, and
- 18:17Speaker 1: I think this is just so rude. She's saying the
- 18:19Speaker 1: Kardashians are past their peak. She's saying they were unavoidable. Bethany,
- 18:24Speaker 1: I think you're talking about yourself and the Real Housewives.
