0:01
[SPEAKER_01]: All right, today we have CEO Maddie J.
0:04
[SPEAKER_01]: Office World Tour back in the state.
0:08
[SPEAKER_01]: Welcome back, Maddie.
0:10
[SPEAKER_00]: We're back, man.
0:11
[SPEAKER_01]: How are you feeling?
0:12
[SPEAKER_01]: I feel welcomed.
0:14
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, man, you know what I'm saying?
0:15
[SPEAKER_00]: We got, we got good people, family, friends, as close as associates when they see you.
0:23
[SPEAKER_00]: But energy is there, you feel missed.
0:25
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, right.
0:25
[SPEAKER_01]: You can't even pop up.
0:27
[SPEAKER_01]: Like, I did tell we, it's over here.
0:30
[SPEAKER_01]: Here's the thing, I would not have seen it.
0:32
[SPEAKER_01]: Because one, I wouldn't, I wouldn't, I wouldn't went anyway just to support the guys, but I normally wouldn't be at the club, like Avenue.
0:41
[SPEAKER_01]: And I'm walking around, but brought Dre out, you know, to support the CEO of it.
0:47
[SPEAKER_01]: And I look on the stage or the DJ booth,
0:52
[SPEAKER_01]: That ain't chasing the buildings and I was excited.
0:57
[SPEAKER_01]: I was like, yo, I ain't seeing you in person.
0:59
[SPEAKER_01]: Well, I saw you at Aphrodite.
1:01
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
1:02
[SPEAKER_00]: But I was like, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no
1:20
[SPEAKER_01]: I got to run the flight plate.
1:21
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, man.
1:23
[SPEAKER_01]: I got a lot of conversations to have.
1:26
[SPEAKER_01]: One, how you do all this with the traveling.
1:29
[SPEAKER_01]: And we're going to talk to the people who think that Maddie don't have a job.
1:33
[SPEAKER_01]: Nobody knows what you do, Joe, but probably people probably think this.
1:38
[SPEAKER_01]: I know you, and I always, I'm like, what did that do for him?
1:41
[SPEAKER_01]: Because I know you were doing the car for a while.
1:43
[SPEAKER_01]: He's like, you're on cable ball that, and I'm not doing that.
1:45
[SPEAKER_01]: And now you just travel with him like, you know, he's living a lifestyle.
1:50
[SPEAKER_01]: So we're going to get into all that bug.
1:53
[SPEAKER_01]: So tell me about the last couple of years, man.
1:55
[SPEAKER_01]: What you've experienced?
1:57
[SPEAKER_00]: Last couple of years.
1:58
[SPEAKER_00]: Let's start with
2:00
[SPEAKER_00]: Three years ago, like, let's start from right after, you know, the pandemic wave, everybody is doing their thing, making the most money.
2:08
[SPEAKER_01]: They're like, money was running for the heavens from the gods, but it was funny, it was you could tell when it wasn't the same.
2:21
[SPEAKER_00]: Like some people, like some people hit a guy hit earlier than others.
2:27
[SPEAKER_00]: But it slowed up for some people, especially in the coaching space.
2:29
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, for sure.
2:30
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
2:31
[SPEAKER_00]: So, for me, luckily.
2:34
[SPEAKER_00]: There's a term, the cream of the crop always rises to the top, right?
2:39
[SPEAKER_00]: If you do things half-hazardly, or you do things with no substance, so it's going to break down eventually.
2:47
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
2:47
[SPEAKER_00]: But if you really build things from beginning with a good foundation, no matter what weather that comes through, you're going to be good.
2:53
[SPEAKER_00]: So luckily for me, I had other avenues and streams other than the initial
3:01
[SPEAKER_00]: teaching about how to turn your own assets on wheels to make you deals.
3:06
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah,
3:30
[SPEAKER_00]: At the time I was doing short-term rentals, via two-row and then I started doing prior rentals.
3:36
[SPEAKER_00]: But once I realized that things were slowing down, I moved into long-term rentals.
3:41
[SPEAKER_00]: So instead of renting my car, one in two days at a time of per person, I rent my car, one to three months per person, and eventually,
3:49
[SPEAKER_00]: a year, three-year contracts with people, so I can then free up my time, because I didn't need to income or the cash, where they came directly from it.
3:57
[SPEAKER_00]: I just need to make sure that these cars or other people's responsibilities.
4:02
[SPEAKER_01]: Why didn't you need to income?
4:04
[SPEAKER_00]: My God's Grace, we have other plays in and flow.
4:07
[SPEAKER_00]: We have digital products, my playbooks, we have some of my passive income.
4:13
[SPEAKER_00]: I've been getting paid from Shopify since 2014, every month, like the government, like a government check.
4:21
[SPEAKER_01]: What are they paying for?
4:23
[SPEAKER_00]: So in 2014, they had a crazy deal, because it's brand new.
4:28
[SPEAKER_00]: Shout out to Damon John for putting me on to the, so Shopify will give you 20%.
4:32
[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know if they're still doing it, but Shopify will give you 20% if you moved somebody from WordPress or at that time, Jumela, their website wants to Shopify.
4:42
[SPEAKER_00]: So I was able to convince a lot of successful brands to move to Shopify and I've been getting 20% of what they pay every month.
4:51
[SPEAKER_00]: So if they pay $2,000 a month, I get $2,000 a month for Shopify.
4:57
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, so yeah, bigger brands, that's how much they're paying per month.
5:02
[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, from the package yourself.
5:03
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, this is like the $14.99 package is the $29.99.
5:08
[SPEAKER_00]: The higher the price you pay per month, the lower fees you get.
5:11
[SPEAKER_00]: So it makes sense for them.
5:13
[SPEAKER_00]: Because if they're doing volume of a million dollars per month,
5:18
[SPEAKER_00]: It's they're not paying the regular 3% transaction that Shopify would charge the only going to pay 2% In order to get access to 2% and 1% you're paying a thousand dollars a month for you or 2% So you have a bunch of people on a bunch of them, my gosh, it's 20% each Yeah, some big names too.
5:37
[SPEAKER_00]: Somebody one of them was so mad that I was getting so much money
5:42
[SPEAKER_00]: from referring them that they asked Shopify to just buy me out.
5:48
[SPEAKER_00]: Really?
5:49
[SPEAKER_00]: Crazy.
5:50
[SPEAKER_01]: But what does that have to do with your money?
5:52
[UNKNOWN]: Nothing.
5:55
[SPEAKER_00]: I guess, because one of the biggest things is that relies on some people.
5:59
[SPEAKER_00]: Once they're audience or demographic finds out that I was involved with their brand, they think that
6:07
[SPEAKER_00]: people are now discredit their authority on them building the brand because they know that I help people like build infrastructure.
6:16
[SPEAKER_00]: So once they say, oh, Maddie helped you do this?
6:17
[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, so you weren't the one that built it.
6:18
[SPEAKER_00]: That's the mindset that they craft up in their head.
6:22
[SPEAKER_00]: Versus, no, you're the boss and you hire the best to do certain things, but this is your brand.
6:27
[SPEAKER_00]: This is my brand.
6:28
[SPEAKER_00]: So for one particular person, they didn't want any association.
6:32
[SPEAKER_00]: And I understand it.
6:33
[SPEAKER_00]: So I can logically, it can be like torture
6:38
[SPEAKER_00]: this person that helps you, she has no ill against me, but she just feels like the people don't respect her because my name was attached to her, her Shopify account.
6:47
[SPEAKER_01]: Is this someone, I guess it's somebody you add a business relationship or you're just cool with it.
6:53
[SPEAKER_00]: both.
6:54
[SPEAKER_01]: Oh.
6:55
[UNKNOWN]: Yeah.
6:56
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
6:57
[SPEAKER_00]: So at first, it was my name being on the website.
7:00
[SPEAKER_00]: That's how people knew.
7:01
[SPEAKER_01]: Your name was on the website.
7:02
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
7:03
[SPEAKER_00]: I got my signature at the bottom of the website.
7:05
[SPEAKER_00]: I had to put your name on the website.
7:07
[SPEAKER_01]: Designed by.
7:07
[SPEAKER_01]: That's a design by.
7:08
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
7:08
[SPEAKER_01]: That's the regular thing.
7:09
[SPEAKER_01]: Oh.
7:10
[SPEAKER_00]: Power by or design by.
7:12
[SPEAKER_00]: And then when you click on it, it goes to my website.
7:15
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
7:15
[SPEAKER_00]: So early on, nobody ever had a problem with that.
7:18
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
7:19
[SPEAKER_00]: But for this specific client,
7:22
[SPEAKER_00]: our competitors will go to that link and they will hire me.
7:27
[SPEAKER_00]: And I didn't have a non-compete clause where I don't work any of your competitors or exclusivity, where I didn't work with your peers.
7:35
[SPEAKER_00]: So she's one of the top people in this specific industry.
7:40
[SPEAKER_00]: So of course, the people who wants to be like her or better are going to try to figure out how to get the same thing that she has.
7:46
[SPEAKER_00]: So if it's a website, or if you hire this person to do a website, they're going to do my website too.
7:51
[SPEAKER_00]: So now I'm being tied to,
7:54
[SPEAKER_00]: her feeling of certain type of way towards her competitors like I'm helping a system.
8:00
[SPEAKER_00]: I am in a sense, but we shouldn't be insecure on those things.
8:04
[SPEAKER_00]: So I teach people all the time that our competitors
8:09
[SPEAKER_00]: should be looked at in that way.
8:10
[SPEAKER_00]: We should be figuring out different ways to be unique and it shouldn't be based off of how your website looks It should be based on how your services for sure for sure customer support is your logistics How fast you ship and get your clients their products those are the things that really separate brands and because a lot of people don't focus on business development a focus on perception
8:33
[SPEAKER_01]: I don't even know who it is, and I don't think I want to know who it is because I don't think I don't like to think people in a bit, because I understand her plight.
8:43
[SPEAKER_01]: I don't think there's always two sides too, because it could be.
8:49
[SPEAKER_01]: What you're saying is, the name's on a website.
8:51
[SPEAKER_01]: I don't like that your name's on there, right?
8:53
[SPEAKER_01]: But I don't know what a back-and-conversation between why.
8:58
[SPEAKER_01]: She's feeling this way or whoever is feeling this way about you.
9:03
[SPEAKER_01]: So that could be another play at hand.
9:06
[SPEAKER_01]: But let's move on.
9:08
[SPEAKER_01]: I want to get into how you are able to travel, because I want to information, but I don't know.
9:14
[SPEAKER_01]: I want to talk to the people who know you, who know you for a while.
9:19
[SPEAKER_01]: where we know your story on paper.
9:24
[SPEAKER_01]: You, early in the internet space, helping a lot of celebrities who are going to lots of celebrities.
9:30
[SPEAKER_01]: To see your millionaire shirt down and saying all that you, your hands are in that.
9:35
[SPEAKER_01]: And then at some point, it turns a corner.
9:39
[SPEAKER_01]: Where if people didn't know you, it's Maddie got into the church really, really heavy.
9:45
[SPEAKER_01]: And conducting Bible studies here at Condo or things that I made here, right?
9:49
[SPEAKER_00]: And just the whole, the whole night, that is Maddie, with suits every day, even in the summertime.
9:59
[SPEAKER_01]: I'm like, you're always wearing a suit at summertime.
10:01
[SPEAKER_01]: But then, but then, it's a good turn at the pandemic, where it's like, Maddie is outside now.
10:08
[SPEAKER_01]: And the reason I'm saying that is because there have been people that came to me, you're like, oh, so it's your boy.
10:14
[SPEAKER_01]: Are you going to church?
10:17
[SPEAKER_01]: Yo, however, yo, I can't count on my hands.
10:22
[SPEAKER_01]: How many times I've heard that from different people?
10:24
[SPEAKER_00]: That's funny.
10:26
[SPEAKER_01]: So, from your perspective, for those that know you, because the people that are just getting introduced, they don't know this, right, right, right, for sure.
10:33
[SPEAKER_01]: I want to get what your perception has been.
10:37
[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, okay, so yeah, so first and foremost.
10:40
[SPEAKER_00]: People's perceptions are valid.
10:42
[SPEAKER_00]: What they see is valid, which is why we have an opportunity to have these conversations where, okay, this is what I see.
10:49
[SPEAKER_00]: The key thing is to ask, okay, what is another point of view?
10:53
[SPEAKER_00]: And what is the context so we can be able to form our opinions, but some not.
10:56
[SPEAKER_00]: So when it comes to the development of,
11:00
[SPEAKER_00]: my day-to-day.
11:01
[SPEAKER_00]: Obviously I started off heavy with throwing parties and entrepreneurship all like this.
11:06
[SPEAKER_00]: And then in 2015, I got baptized by God's grace.
11:10
[SPEAKER_00]: Thanks so much.
11:11
[SPEAKER_01]: And, you know what I'm talking about the same time, too?
11:14
[SPEAKER_01]: I remember we were sitting next to each other.
11:16
[SPEAKER_01]: And we were like, what did you get baptized?
11:18
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, what did you get baptized?
11:19
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, we had to get the walk of it, it did do some stuff, I remember.
11:23
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, so in 2015, I had to lock in.
11:27
[SPEAKER_00]: I got so excited with the information, the history, the spiritual alignment, that had to lock in, and there was so much to learn in abundance that allowed me to get rid of all distractions.
11:41
[SPEAKER_00]: Getting married, studies every day, down near going to church, everything, was an inline
11:54
[SPEAKER_00]: somebody introduced me to, um, invited me to a podcast called Social Purpose.
11:59
[SPEAKER_01]: Oh my gosh, hold on, don't put this on Bieber, I was the guy behind the scenes.
12:07
[SPEAKER_00]: I had 30,000 followers, I had influence, but it was a cultivated niche of people.
12:14
[SPEAKER_00]: It wasn't fans, it was people who, my peers that respected me.
12:20
[SPEAKER_00]: And then I was platforming you were the first person to really really platforming me consistently when I first came out in Atlanta you had a You had a speaking event Sweet lounge yes I remember you know, it's my first time hearing this story from your perspective.
12:35
[SPEAKER_00]: I didn't think about that Yeah, it's broke.
12:37
[SPEAKER_00]: I stood at the pictures there.
12:38
[SPEAKER_00]: Wow and once I was able to share my story Specifically dabbing sound to see you a million years
12:46
[SPEAKER_00]: I got to see the impact it had on the view because they'll approach me after the speaking engagement and share how much it impacted their clothing line and I'm like, oh, wow.
12:55
[SPEAKER_00]: What we doing, not just brings in income, it doesn't just bring influence for myself, but it creates a lot of impact.
13:02
[SPEAKER_00]: I love this, all right.
13:04
[SPEAKER_00]: So most people don't never get that chance.
13:06
[SPEAKER_00]: A lot of successful business owners, they don't get to see how much impact they have on other people because they don't get platformed on situations like yours where they get to speak and engage with their supporters and people who are watching.
13:18
[SPEAKER_00]: So, once I was able to have this interview with you during the pandemic, it goes crazy.
13:25
[SPEAKER_00]: Everybody wants to learn how to rent out cars, everybody learns during the pandemic that their current situation isn't as safe as they thought.
13:33
[SPEAKER_00]: Their current job isn't as safe, so it was, as you know, a great influx of people who wanted to learn how to become entrepreneurs, how to secure the bag.
13:41
[SPEAKER_00]: Plus they actually got some assistance from the government to invest in any of these opportunities and then of course I come to mind They have the money they have the mindset the will and now they just need the information They know I've been teaching information and business for years.
13:57
[SPEAKER_00]: I was already prepared for this So I was just tapped in
14:00
[SPEAKER_00]: So for the people who already follow me, they were tapping slowly, but the people who didn't know me, they were introduced to me by you, E.Y.L.
14:08
[SPEAKER_00]: and Gilly and Walao, all these different platforms where now I'm creating so much impact.
14:14
[SPEAKER_00]: I'm going to the airport, people scream out and I'm almost super silly.
14:20
[SPEAKER_00]: I'm not used to this.
14:22
[SPEAKER_00]: And then clubhouse comes out, crazy.
14:26
[SPEAKER_00]: Clubhouse blew up during the pandemic and was amazing about Clubhouse was people who I used to do work for years ago behind the scenes and became a trend to tell people in the rooms that Maddie's Jay was the one who helped me.
14:39
[SPEAKER_00]: To the point where people were just pretending that I helped them build their business, just associated with me and became a trend.
14:54
[SPEAKER_00]: I became one of the most referred people on clubhouse.
14:58
[SPEAKER_00]: They added me to like, when anybody signed up to clubhouse, I would automatically be added to anybody who just made an account.
15:05
[SPEAKER_01]: So I'm blowing up on air.
15:07
[SPEAKER_00]: I'm blowing up off the podcast.
15:08
[SPEAKER_00]: Our podcast is doing numbers.
15:10
[SPEAKER_00]: I'm blowing up on Instagram, Twitter, all these different platforms.
15:14
[SPEAKER_00]: I'm now getting a lot of attention and attraction, and I had something to follow up.
15:19
[SPEAKER_00]: With it when they go to my page like all this dude's kind of entertaining You got a little swag.
15:23
[SPEAKER_00]: You got a little situation go at all.
15:25
[SPEAKER_00]: He's just married got a girl He looks there's a decent decent guy.
15:28
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, my guy's great So what was the turn?
15:38
[SPEAKER_00]: The story is good, the entire, okay.
15:41
[SPEAKER_00]: So what happens is when you're getting a lot of attention, that attention can turn into distraction if you don't have a clear intentional plan that aligns with your spiritual life, first and foremost.
15:53
[SPEAKER_00]: Everything starts with your spiritual life and then you develop your physical life off of that.
15:58
[SPEAKER_00]: So because my spiritual life at before the pandemic was so high and then once the spiritual, I mean the physical, like the physical stuff,
16:08
[SPEAKER_00]: business, business, money, money, money, go out, go out, all these things start to rise up.
16:13
[SPEAKER_00]: Way past the spiritual, right, it became, I wouldn't say a distraction, it just wasn't managed, I didn't manage it properly.
16:23
[SPEAKER_00]: All right.
16:24
[SPEAKER_01]: So, okay, so what is that?
16:27
[SPEAKER_01]: At the time, do you see this happening?
16:30
[SPEAKER_01]: Do you feel it happening or is just, I am.
16:32
[SPEAKER_01]: You're justified.
16:33
[SPEAKER_00]: I'm justifying it because, and I still do, because I think everything happens for a reason, and a season.
16:40
[SPEAKER_00]: So at the time, I wasn't feeling like I was crossing any lines or boundaries when it comes to my spiritual integrity.
16:47
[SPEAKER_00]: I wasn't doing anything that I would do in front of God with me watching what I was doing.
16:52
[SPEAKER_00]: Like, I wasn't doing anything like that.
16:55
[SPEAKER_00]: So, but the problem was, I was doing less of the things that I was proud of doing.
17:00
[SPEAKER_00]: Spiritschly, all right.
17:02
[SPEAKER_00]: It wasn't like I was doing negative things.
17:03
[SPEAKER_00]: I was doing less of the things I know is important.
17:07
[SPEAKER_00]: Spiritschly.
17:07
[SPEAKER_01]: Less of the things.
17:08
[SPEAKER_00]: Less Bible studies, less serving insurance.
17:12
[SPEAKER_00]: Stuff like that.
17:13
[SPEAKER_00]: I was just doing the basics, like a lay member, like anybody who's,
17:18
[SPEAKER_00]: basically wants to be served, not served, so that was the issue, and I'll justify it because a lot of times when I go out and meet people at these events, I'll talk about my faith, I'll talk about some of the things I subscribe to spiritually, and they'll join in and tap in as well, so, and I was being a lot of fruit, people were getting baptized during this process.
17:41
[SPEAKER_00]: So this is
17:47
[SPEAKER_00]: what happened.
17:48
[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, I go on a date.
17:51
[SPEAKER_00]: I double a date.
17:52
[SPEAKER_00]: Me, Erica.
17:54
[SPEAKER_00]: Um, your wife at the time.
17:56
[SPEAKER_00]: Yes.
17:56
[SPEAKER_00]: Yes.
17:58
[SPEAKER_00]: Tomorrow, Braxton and her husband.
18:01
[SPEAKER_00]: Okay.
18:02
[SPEAKER_00]: We go on a date and she says, once the last time you guys been on a date together, just y'all too.
18:07
[SPEAKER_00]: I was stuck stuck like you.
18:10
[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, wow.
18:12
[SPEAKER_01]: How long have you been married at this time?
18:19
[SPEAKER_00]: we got married in 2015.
18:21
[SPEAKER_00]: So eight years.
18:21
[SPEAKER_01]: So 23 is when this happened.
18:24
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
18:24
[SPEAKER_01]: Okay.
18:25
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
18:25
[SPEAKER_00]: So she was at eight years.
18:29
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
18:29
[SPEAKER_01]: 2015 to 2023.
18:30
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
18:31
[SPEAKER_00]: Exactly.
18:31
[SPEAKER_00]: So she, the thing about me is when I got married,
18:36
[SPEAKER_00]: I didn't learn about romance in the way that most people are aware of it.
18:42
[SPEAKER_00]: Like going on dates and doing all these things, the flowers, I did things that most people don't do, which I thought was more important, which is build our spiritual life.
18:52
[SPEAKER_00]: Alright, go to church together, pray together, study together, fellowship together, all these things.
18:58
[SPEAKER_00]: I thought this romance, lovey, lovey stuff was just like, in the, for the movies.
19:02
[SPEAKER_01]: Did I have to have a con culture?
19:04
[SPEAKER_00]: No, it's actually the opposite.
19:05
[SPEAKER_00]: No, no, no, no, no.
19:07
[SPEAKER_00]: And the African culture is balanced.
19:09
[SPEAKER_00]: Spirituality, all that is tied together.
19:12
[SPEAKER_00]: For me, that's just how me personally, how I was, how I invest in life was a little bit different
19:22
[SPEAKER_00]: I was hyper-independent.
19:24
[SPEAKER_00]: When I graduated high school, I was making $14,000 a week.
19:30
[SPEAKER_00]: I was doing something that most people would never do.
19:33
[SPEAKER_00]: Which was making money online from social media.
19:36
[SPEAKER_00]: It's making money from my space, I was making money from Twitter, I was making money from Instagram, I'm making money independently.
19:43
[SPEAKER_00]: So a lot of the social skills that people have when it comes to dating and all that other stuff, I developed it differently.
19:50
[SPEAKER_00]: I'm in the house.
19:51
[SPEAKER_00]: I didn't even learn how to drive into my was like 24.
19:56
[SPEAKER_00]: Really?
19:56
[SPEAKER_00]: Bro.
19:57
[SPEAKER_00]: Because I never needed to.
19:59
[SPEAKER_00]: Think about it.
19:59
[SPEAKER_00]: What's the reason why people need to learn how to drive?
20:02
[SPEAKER_01]: So you can go places.
20:03
[SPEAKER_00]: Like where?
20:05
[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, good work.
20:06
[SPEAKER_01]: Good work.
20:07
[SPEAKER_00]: School.
20:09
[SPEAKER_00]: I worked from home, and I created an environment where everybody came to my house.
20:16
[SPEAKER_00]: I always lived in the top condo and the most busiest area, so everybody used to just come to my house, everywhere I lived.
20:25
[SPEAKER_00]: So I never needed to go anywhere.
20:26
[SPEAKER_00]: But when we did go out to like spaces, they'll just come to my house, we parlay my house, and then I'll hop in their car and we'll go there.
20:33
[SPEAKER_00]: That was how it was.
20:34
[SPEAKER_00]: Even when it comes to food, then either bring me food or an order food, I never went to restaurants like that to like wine and dine and do stuff like that.
20:44
[SPEAKER_00]: That wasn't my experience.
20:46
[SPEAKER_00]: So in marriage, those things are important.
20:49
[SPEAKER_00]: I'd say obviously.
20:52
[SPEAKER_01]: So I want to stop this too because as your marriage, you're just expecting to be served in that way by her too.
21:01
[SPEAKER_00]: No, that's the problem.
21:02
[SPEAKER_00]: I wasn't.
21:02
[SPEAKER_00]: That's why I'm not picking up one of the things I'm not doing because I don't want to expect it.
21:08
[SPEAKER_01]: What do you mean?
21:09
[SPEAKER_00]: Like being served in what manner?
21:12
[SPEAKER_01]: Like you're saying, y'all, I live in this place, everybody coming to me, you drive me here.
21:15
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, well, the thing is, they're coming to me because I created an environment where it's accommodating to them.
21:21
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
21:21
[SPEAKER_00]: It's not, you're coming to me because I don't want to drive for because I don't want to do so.
21:27
[SPEAKER_00]: You're coming to me because I have the spot to be it.
21:29
[SPEAKER_01]: But are you saying in your mind, in terms of marriage itself, this is really helping me to you created an environment where your wife almost,
21:39
[SPEAKER_01]: or you're thinking, she's happy about this environment, that's great for her.
21:43
[SPEAKER_00]: Yes, exactly.
21:44
[SPEAKER_01]: So I don't have to go on a date, exactly.
21:47
[SPEAKER_01]: Exactly, she's.
21:49
[SPEAKER_00]: And she was it, like I'm doing some of the things that caused somebody not to complain.
21:55
[SPEAKER_00]: So that's why it was never like on my radar.
21:58
[SPEAKER_00]: All right, she might have brought it up here and there, but it wasn't like, oh, I need to change this.
22:02
[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, I got to pay attention to this, so when we went on this double day, and she said, when's the last time you went on the day that questions make you say, oh, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no
22:16
[SPEAKER_00]: is even though everybody you judge, there's nothing wrong with judging people, right?
22:20
[SPEAKER_00]: But it can't be self-righteous judgment.
22:22
[SPEAKER_00]: And that's what most people do.
22:23
[SPEAKER_00]: They judge because it makes them feel uncomfortable.
22:26
[SPEAKER_00]: She judge because she wants me to be comfortable.
22:29
[SPEAKER_00]: She wants me to make the right decisions and also for her.
22:34
[SPEAKER_00]: So what she did was she actually set up the dates for us.
22:38
[SPEAKER_01]: Oh wow.
22:39
[SPEAKER_00]: Yes.
22:40
[SPEAKER_00]: These five star restaurants, and once I start going, I'm like, oh, so this is what I've been missing.
22:50
[SPEAKER_00]: So this is why people, I'm at the table, white cloth, it's not all.
22:54
[SPEAKER_01]: What do you mean with your life and conversations?
22:58
[SPEAKER_00]: It's feeling good, but the problem was it was too late.
23:02
[SPEAKER_00]: years, seven, eight years past where I'm now realising this and then they made me reflect on other things I was doing that are similar like my birthday.
23:14
[SPEAKER_00]: I do not care about celebrating my birthday and I understand the psychology behind why I feel the way I do.
23:21
[SPEAKER_00]: There's a lot of people who might watch this too that feel the same way I do when it comes to not wanting to celebrate the birthday.
23:27
[SPEAKER_00]: For me, I know hundreds of thousands of people.
23:31
[SPEAKER_00]: I'm a birthday, I feel like a secretary because I have to reply to thousands of messages.
23:36
[SPEAKER_00]: I have to cater to everybody, and of course they're trying to show love, but at the scale and the amount of people I know, it comes to overwhelming.
23:46
[SPEAKER_00]: That's why I've never done an event, never hosted a conference, like I had a birthday party because it's just too overwhelming for me.
23:54
[SPEAKER_00]: And of course, there's people there that will be there and say, yo, I was just set it up for you, just show up, right?
23:59
[SPEAKER_00]: But then again, it's like, even that dot process.
24:02
[SPEAKER_01]: It still is my responsibility there.
24:04
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
24:05
[SPEAKER_00]: I like to celebrate other people.
24:06
[SPEAKER_00]: And I feel the love through giving.
24:10
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
24:10
[SPEAKER_00]: And that's enough for me.
24:11
[SPEAKER_00]: I don't need to be received a love through my birthday and those special events.
24:14
[SPEAKER_00]: But I also, here's what I missed.
24:18
[SPEAKER_00]: You have to give people you love the opportunity to show you love.
24:22
[SPEAKER_00]: and the way that it's traditional.
24:24
[SPEAKER_01]: You're talking good, bro.
24:26
[SPEAKER_00]: I was being selfish.
24:27
[SPEAKER_00]: Yo, don't realize it.
24:29
[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, don't.
24:29
[SPEAKER_01]: You got to give me a minute, because I'm thinking, and this is like, this is me in a real time.
24:35
[SPEAKER_01]: Yo, yo, yo.
24:35
[SPEAKER_01]: I'm thinking, I don't need my wife to do something for me, right?
24:41
[SPEAKER_01]: So I don't ask you to do anything, right?
24:44
[SPEAKER_01]: Expect anything.
24:45
[SPEAKER_01]: But that mindset is robbing her of the experience.
24:49
[SPEAKER_01]: I'm thinking, you know, first of all, don't ask me to do nothing because I don't want to have to go through it.
24:55
[SPEAKER_01]: And love for me is saying, you know, babe, we ain't got to do nothing.
24:58
[SPEAKER_01]: I'm like, yes.
24:59
[SPEAKER_01]: So if I provide that for you, that should be love.
25:02
[SPEAKER_01]: But what you're saying is,
25:04
[SPEAKER_01]: We have to give people an opportunity to buy a love for that as a heavy bar, right?
25:08
[SPEAKER_00]: And when you line it up to everything we do should be lined up to what got it exemplified through even the Bible.
25:16
[SPEAKER_00]: Like God commands his disciples to preach.
25:19
[SPEAKER_00]: God can just simply download
25:21
[SPEAKER_00]: information to everybody, and we preach themselves to everybody, but he wants us to have the opportunity to preach so we can learn how to receive love and how to give love.
25:29
[SPEAKER_00]: So once I realize I'm like, okay, I've robbed my close friends and family, the opportunity for them to celebrate me together on this special day.
25:40
[SPEAKER_00]: And it took years to realize that it was like too far gone to the point where I don't want to throw anybody under the bus, but the reactions that I was getting from our realization, because when I realized something like, yo, I'm apologetic, so I apologize for not realizing this and I'm like, I've been told you energy was the one I received.
25:58
[SPEAKER_00]: I didn't receive.
25:59
[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, thankfully, you get it.
26:00
[SPEAKER_00]: Let's.
26:00
[SPEAKER_01]: I didn't like that.
26:02
[SPEAKER_00]: Exactly, bro.
26:03
[SPEAKER_00]: I'll give you another example.
26:05
[SPEAKER_00]: From birthday, I received a free spa day.
26:10
[SPEAKER_00]: I never cared about spas and basages at all.
26:14
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
26:15
[SPEAKER_00]: So when people buy me things that I'm not going to use, that I know is expensive.
26:19
[SPEAKER_00]: I'm like, oh, get your money back.
26:20
[SPEAKER_01]: That's a dumb answer.
26:22
[SPEAKER_01]: That's hard to dumb.
26:24
[SPEAKER_01]: Hey, my mind!
26:26
[SPEAKER_00]: I'm thinking, I'm doing them a favorite.
26:27
[SPEAKER_00]: That's a dumb answer.
26:28
[SPEAKER_00]: Please, man, I'm not going to... Oh, me that.
26:32
[SPEAKER_00]: And that's another thing the struggle about being hyper independent.
26:34
[SPEAKER_00]: A lot of things I ever wanted, I already received it and got it.
26:38
[SPEAKER_00]: Because I've always had the resources, whether it's money, or the relationship to get it.
26:43
[SPEAKER_00]: I never needed anybody to do something for me and that started early when my dad when I was asked my dad for things and he was telling me I got a Washington car for it and I didn't feel like watching a car I started my candy business started selling candy so I don't have to ask nobody for some money so I started early so when it came to the spa's
26:59
[SPEAKER_00]: The specific gift, oh my, yo, you should get it back.
27:02
[SPEAKER_00]: I was not considering how they felt.
27:04
[SPEAKER_00]: I didn't consider what their process was for them to think about me, to go purchase it.
27:08
[SPEAKER_00]: Oh my god, maybe it's kind of evil.
27:11
[SPEAKER_00]: It's kind of evil.
27:12
[SPEAKER_00]: You know what I look back at it?
27:15
[SPEAKER_00]: It's my, so I'm realizing, then this is how I realized.
27:19
[SPEAKER_00]: Shout out to me, yo.
27:21
[SPEAKER_00]: After we played basketball, you was actually there.
27:23
[SPEAKER_00]: We all played basketball at LA Fitness.
27:26
[SPEAKER_00]: Afterwards, Neo is like, yo, let's all get massages.
27:29
[SPEAKER_00]: I'm like, nah, I'm good man, I see y'all, I see y'all later, man, I'll keep on my side.
27:34
[SPEAKER_00]: Listen, at this point, I was never getting my side just.
27:37
[SPEAKER_00]: I don't think I've got enough professional massage.
27:41
[SPEAKER_00]: So I'm good.
27:41
[SPEAKER_00]: This man said, no, you got to go.
27:44
[SPEAKER_00]: Like he encouraged and forced the issue.
27:47
[SPEAKER_00]: So I went.
27:49
[SPEAKER_00]: Me, Neo, just I remember just now this was there.
27:52
[SPEAKER_00]: Marcus Rose here was there.
27:54
[SPEAKER_00]: A couple of the guys don't forget.
27:55
[SPEAKER_00]: So we go.
27:56
[SPEAKER_00]: And I feel the vibes.
27:58
[SPEAKER_00]: I hear the music, this is crazy as a grown man.
28:03
[SPEAKER_00]: I can't experience the field of vibes.
28:05
[SPEAKER_00]: And this is why people don't connect with me when I'd be sharing with us.
28:08
[SPEAKER_00]: They're like, yo, you are so smart in this area.
28:10
[SPEAKER_00]: You've done so much in this area.
28:12
[SPEAKER_00]: These are basic common stuff.
28:14
[SPEAKER_00]: So when I respond this other way, they can't accept it.
28:17
[SPEAKER_00]: This is common said, there's no way, this is real.
28:19
[SPEAKER_00]: So when I go to the small, I'm sitting down.
28:23
[SPEAKER_00]: They first, they clean my feet first.
28:27
[SPEAKER_01]: What is this?
28:28
[SPEAKER_01]: What is this?
28:30
[SPEAKER_01]: What is this?
28:38
[SPEAKER_00]: It was I started I started recording it was going on and then I was like hold up
28:45
[SPEAKER_00]: The feeling I'm getting, I don't want to thank Neo for it, because people have been inviting me to go to a spa.
28:51
[SPEAKER_00]: I don't want to post on my Instagram that I've been enjoying this, the day of life, after I've told people, I don't go to a spa that I hate it.
28:59
[SPEAKER_00]: And first thing I thought about was my wife, Erica, because she tried to get to a spa.
29:04
[SPEAKER_01]: Yes, plenty times.
29:06
[SPEAKER_00]: So before I posted the Instagram story of me getting my massage, I'm like, I gotta apologize to her.
29:12
[SPEAKER_01]: I don't let me get, let me just guess the vibe of the vibe of the vibe of the vibe of the vibe of the vibe of the vibe of the vibe of the vibe of the vibe of the vibe of the vibe of the vibe of the vibe of the vibe of the vibe of the vibe of the vibe of the vibe of the vibe of the vibe of the vibe of the vibe of the vibe of the vibe of the vibe of the vibe of the vibe of the vibe of the vibe of the vibe of the vibe of the vibe of the vibe of the vibe of the vibe of the vibe of the vibe of the vibe of the vibe of the vibe of the vibe of the vibe of the vibe of the vibe of the vibe of the vibe of the vibe of the vibe of the vibe of the vibe of the vibe of the vibe of the vibe of the vibe of the vibe of the vibe of the vibe of the vibe of the vibe of the vibe of the vibe of the vibe of the vibe of the vibe of the vibe of the vibe of the vibe of the vibe of the vibe of the vibe
29:42
[SPEAKER_00]: Bro, I've been told you been told you exactly.
29:46
[SPEAKER_01]: So especially the ones that's closest to us because they already feel like They are second to this world life or right and then the marriage is worth because there's supposed to be priority special
29:58
[SPEAKER_00]: their their thoughts the their care should be the highest valued.
30:02
[SPEAKER_00]: And it kept happening from dates from spa like so many different small micro things in my mind added up to why she respond or why people were giving her some responses that I was like, Oh, I'm now realizing I'm apologizing, but that's not good enough.
30:18
[SPEAKER_00]: You think that apology is good enough.
30:20
[SPEAKER_00]: You your realization is good enough.
30:21
[SPEAKER_00]: The damage was already done.
30:24
[SPEAKER_01]: You know, as your listeners, you know, I'm so glad we're having this conversation because now I got to go home and apologize to my wife because when they respond that way, I get irritated.
30:35
[SPEAKER_00]: Yes.
30:36
[SPEAKER_01]: I'm expecting them not to respond that way.
30:38
[SPEAKER_01]: When that's a natural response.
30:40
[SPEAKER_01]: And we're being a clown at the TV.
30:43
[SPEAKER_01]: You should at least be like, Neil, I'm not going.
30:46
[SPEAKER_01]: Let me go.
30:48
[SPEAKER_01]: I keep my wife to do this first and then I come.
30:51
[SPEAKER_01]: Yes, that's the play right here.
30:54
[SPEAKER_00]: That's the play.
30:55
[SPEAKER_00]: In my mind, like you said, I'm like, okay.
30:57
[SPEAKER_00]: Oh yeah, I'm gonna apologize, everything going good.
31:00
[SPEAKER_00]: Of course, and you don't get the response you did.
31:01
[SPEAKER_00]: Now I'm in defense mode.
31:03
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
31:04
[SPEAKER_00]: Versus, let me listen.
31:05
[SPEAKER_00]: Let me understand why they respond the way they respond and have 100% humility.
31:11
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, 100% humility.
31:13
[SPEAKER_00]: That was a maturity though.
31:14
[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, oh.
31:14
[SPEAKER_01]: That was a time and go through.
31:17
[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, so this is where it starts to happen.
31:20
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, so all these little tests and life lists, we go through these things for a reason, bro.
31:25
[SPEAKER_00]: Some might look at somebody's life and think that they're taking 10 steps back.
31:29
[SPEAKER_00]: But sometimes you have to take 10, some back to take 20 steps forward.
31:32
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, for sure.
31:33
[SPEAKER_00]: And if you like, like I always refer to like situations in the Bible, these stories of people doing certain things that are looked down upon or against God's will, their comeback story is 10 times better every time.
31:47
[SPEAKER_00]: from Paul, Apostle Paul, who a point of his life was hunting Christians, Peter denying Christ three times.
31:57
[SPEAKER_00]: All these different David, you would think he's the the worst sinner of them all, but he was love and honored by God.
32:05
[SPEAKER_00]: So all these different examples,
32:08
[SPEAKER_00]: give people like myself hope of all right when I do something that's not fully gracious or fully righteous at the moment I got to look at the silver lining of why do I go through it and how I can develop and learn from it and impact others.
32:20
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah so after you're leaving it's it well I mean
32:27
[SPEAKER_01]: It seemed like you were just on a just a voyage.
32:31
[SPEAKER_01]: Exploration.
32:31
[SPEAKER_00]: That's a adventure.
32:33
[SPEAKER_01]: You know, when do you call yourself the administrator of lives?
32:36
[SPEAKER_01]: It's not like that.
32:37
[SPEAKER_00]: The minister of enjoyment.
32:38
[SPEAKER_01]: The minister of enjoyment.
32:40
[SPEAKER_01]: Show it.
32:42
[SPEAKER_01]: So you are partying having a time overlap.
32:44
[SPEAKER_00]: So I'll explain what it's really important to talk to me.
32:46
[SPEAKER_00]: All right.
32:46
[SPEAKER_00]: So I'm separated.
32:49
[SPEAKER_00]: I'm now doing things that are not requiring the approval of
32:56
[SPEAKER_00]: on my partner, which is going out to certain events, traveling, certain things.
33:02
[SPEAKER_00]: We used to travel, obviously, and go to events together, but it's a different one you're doing in single, single, solo, don't know.
33:08
[SPEAKER_00]: And if you're showing up, looking single,
33:11
[SPEAKER_00]: Women approach you as a single man and if they're going to give you a compliment that you have heard energy that you have it received so long you start to key key and people notice that energy from afar they say this dude man was going on over there was got all these questions and I'm just entertaining it I'm just trying to you know what's that?
33:37
[SPEAKER_00]: That's another thing about romance, romance.
33:39
[SPEAKER_00]: How I define romance is what would you do for your partner that you would not do for anybody else?
33:45
[SPEAKER_00]: It's supposed to be special activities, special conversations, special tasks that you'll only do for this one person.
33:53
[SPEAKER_00]: That's what separates your romantic partner from any other friend that you love.
33:58
[SPEAKER_00]: The problem for me before was I'll just do whatever I loved to do for people for everybody.
34:04
[SPEAKER_00]: I never had a special thing
34:06
[SPEAKER_00]: My partner and my partner only, and I have to learn these things on the back end.
34:12
[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, the back end.
34:15
[SPEAKER_00]: And so I'm outside at different.
34:19
[SPEAKER_00]: The only difference is I've always, a lot of people have the wrong perception or effects.
34:24
[SPEAKER_00]: I've always been at events outside.
34:26
[SPEAKER_00]: It's just you would see me with my partner.
34:28
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
34:29
[SPEAKER_00]: Now it's by myself, and because I'm by myself, I'm getting approached.
34:34
[SPEAKER_00]: Women and men, but people only noticed the women for suffering.
34:38
[SPEAKER_00]: It's a whole dance of men.
34:41
[SPEAKER_00]: Listen, I'm very social and I spread my love.
34:48
[SPEAKER_01]: Wow.
34:49
[SPEAKER_01]: Wow.
34:50
[SPEAKER_01]: I spread my love.
34:52
[SPEAKER_00]: I spread my, this is how I know it's true.
34:54
[SPEAKER_00]: I spread my, my appreciation and my energy.
34:57
[SPEAKER_00]: Um, so everybody's so much.
34:59
[SPEAKER_00]: They even, uh, almost sexual men.
35:02
[SPEAKER_00]: They'll think I'm gay because I'm interacting with them.
35:05
[SPEAKER_00]: I'm like, oh, no, no, no, we're cool.
35:07
[SPEAKER_00]: We're five.
35:09
[SPEAKER_00]: I'm not gay, my boy.
35:11
[SPEAKER_00]: I'm like, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no,
35:33
[SPEAKER_00]: Oh god, I got to get the biology, but again, like I said, I'm super social, but for some reason, people only notice that women's when I'm with women.
35:41
[SPEAKER_00]: I'm walking with a guy, you just assume that's your friend.
35:44
[SPEAKER_00]: You walk with a woman.
35:45
[SPEAKER_00]: Don't let her be attractive.
35:48
[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, that's who you mess away now.
35:52
[SPEAKER_00]: Can I breathe?
35:54
[SPEAKER_00]: Can I have associates?
35:57
[SPEAKER_01]: So okay, so I thank you for clearing that up because if you've seen we've seen the journey and I mean just At the time at this time you're single and you just you don't live anywhere No matter you know, you're no magic.
36:13
[SPEAKER_01]: No matter like I'll see you here.
36:15
[SPEAKER_01]: Have been garnered in France Yeah, I had to go to Ghana bro.
36:18
[SPEAKER_00]: Ghana.
36:19
[SPEAKER_00]: E. Y. L. hosted a event there.
36:23
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, so I gave me a reason
36:25
[SPEAKER_00]: Like, obviously that shouldn't be the like main reason going to visit the motherland, but that was the influence so once you get to the motherland
36:34
[SPEAKER_00]: I'm mad that I haven't been here this whole time you get to see your culture and I'm Nigerian by descent, but I haven't been to Nigeria because Nigeria is not slow enough.
36:43
[SPEAKER_00]: You got to know how to navigate it.
36:45
[SPEAKER_00]: It's not the same.
36:46
[SPEAKER_00]: It's got to look a bit more peaceful.
36:48
[SPEAKER_00]: It's a soft landing for the diaspora and I experienced it.
36:52
[SPEAKER_00]: And it's amazing to experience a country you've never been with familiar faces.
36:56
[SPEAKER_00]: E-Y-L-Bride.
36:57
[SPEAKER_00]: Thousands of Americans to Ghana.
37:00
[SPEAKER_00]: Plus, it was a weekend call or not.
37:03
[SPEAKER_00]: We can there's like a month long, two months long called Dead Is December.
37:06
[SPEAKER_00]: That's all that?
37:06
[SPEAKER_00]: Dead Sea December.
37:07
[SPEAKER_01]: Dead Sea December.
37:08
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
37:08
[SPEAKER_00]: It's a time period where a lot of the Nigerian diaspora visit Nigeria, Ghana, South Africa, and Kenya.
37:18
[SPEAKER_00]: So you'll see some of your peers that you either grow with that second generation.
37:25
[SPEAKER_00]: all in the motherland together, vibe into Afrobeaks and I'm on Piano.
37:31
[SPEAKER_00]: It was an amazing extra part.
37:32
[SPEAKER_00]: That's my, I love it.
37:33
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, it's crazy.
37:34
[SPEAKER_01]: If I go there, I don't even know what to do with my hands, bro.
37:38
[SPEAKER_01]: Like last night, we was in a club.
37:39
[SPEAKER_01]: I'm so thankful because people will come up to me like literally every couple of minutes.
37:45
[SPEAKER_01]: Yo, what's up?
37:45
[SPEAKER_01]: Yo, what's up?
37:46
[SPEAKER_01]: Let me take a picture.
37:48
[SPEAKER_01]: I'm cool there, but if I'm sitting there and it's just music, I feel you wrote, it can be a real awkward, but I love the dance.
37:54
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, for sure.
37:54
[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh
38:03
[SPEAKER_00]: Being in the motherland, the music, the business, entrepreneurship, and then me documenting my process of being in Ghana, my story engagement, probably tripled.
38:15
[SPEAKER_00]: I'm getting a thousand views, it's now 3000, because people are just intrigued to see what's Maddie doing in Ghana.
38:21
[SPEAKER_01]: for sure.
38:22
[SPEAKER_00]: I'm doing the same thing.
38:23
[SPEAKER_00]: I'm going to gym, grocery shopping, networking, doing all these things.
38:27
[SPEAKER_00]: But for some reason, the fact that I'm doing the same things I'll do in Atlanta or LA or Miami and Houston, but I'm doing it in the Ghana, people are mind-blowing.
38:35
[SPEAKER_00]: They thought just like when I show speed that his running after him, people were so surprised that what Africa had to offer.
38:42
[SPEAKER_00]: And I was becoming a, um,
38:45
[SPEAKER_00]: I'm a platform to show the other side of Africa that somebody like me can live there So if Maddie can live there.
38:51
[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, maybe I can't so let me test that out So I had so many people DM me and say you're I'm coming out there, man.
38:56
[SPEAKER_00]: It's enough, man I see enough stories.
38:58
[SPEAKER_00]: I'm coming up because I originally I was in Dubai
39:02
[SPEAKER_00]: do buy a track from the first.
39:04
[SPEAKER_00]: I was in Dubai for a year.
39:05
[SPEAKER_00]: But it's in Dubai expensive to stay bro.
39:07
[SPEAKER_00]: Listen, when you know a plane maker, you run place.
39:10
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
39:10
[SPEAKER_00]: What no delays.
39:11
[SPEAKER_01]: Talks.
39:13
[SPEAKER_00]: I have relationships.
39:14
[SPEAKER_00]: A lot of people, especially who are big on business podcasts, some of the top business podcasts like social proof, they come here.
39:21
[SPEAKER_00]: for information on how to change their income sometime in their mindset.
39:26
[SPEAKER_00]: However, a lot of people miss the fact on how to change their relationships with people.
39:32
[SPEAKER_00]: How can I gain more relationships so I can gain more access with I have to spend the money?
39:38
[SPEAKER_00]: I think I mastered it.
39:40
[SPEAKER_00]: So do I, you think most expensive place, monaco, super expensive places, you're America, super expensive.
39:46
[SPEAKER_00]: However, when it comes to subsidizing your car costs, your living costs, food costs, and shopping costs, I figure the how to do it for all four.
39:57
[SPEAKER_00]: So for lodging and accommodations, I have a relationship with employees that work at Marriott.
40:03
[SPEAKER_00]: Marriott employees, by guys' grace, they get benefits.
40:08
[SPEAKER_00]: They allow to add friends and family to discount rates.
40:12
[SPEAKER_00]: So instead of paying $300 for a hotel for the night, myriad employees can offer for friends and family rates at $100.
40:24
[SPEAKER_00]: And Dubai, the rates are amazing.
40:27
[SPEAKER_00]: Way higher than most other countries.
40:30
[SPEAKER_00]: So a $700 room, you can get it for $80.
40:34
[SPEAKER_00]: And I'm thinking back in Atlanta.
40:35
[SPEAKER_00]: I'm paying 6,000 a month Which is like more than a hundred dollars a day, but I'm in Dubai for eighty dollars a day.
40:43
[SPEAKER_01]: No brainer
40:46
[SPEAKER_00]: No heard it, not even close.
40:47
[SPEAKER_00]: And people were just shocked that I'm out here so long because when people travel, they use the people who are seeing them out of the country for a week.
40:55
[SPEAKER_00]: Three days, a week in.
40:57
[SPEAKER_00]: They see me there for three months and they're like, oh, this guy's different.
41:00
[SPEAKER_00]: There's something he's doing, something.
41:01
[SPEAKER_01]: That's a fact.
41:02
[SPEAKER_01]: That's a branding play for sure.
41:03
[SPEAKER_01]: For sure, for sure.
41:04
[SPEAKER_00]: Elevate your amongst completely different perception and a level of a different authority.
41:09
[SPEAKER_00]: So when it came to lodging, I'm now hotel hopper.
41:15
[SPEAKER_00]: And while I'm a hotel hopping, I'm staying at the nicest hotels doing hotel reviews.
41:22
[SPEAKER_00]: Showing people the hotel, posting the hotel, tagging the hotel, they're even giving them more accommodations.
41:28
[SPEAKER_01]: They're real quick.
41:30
[SPEAKER_01]: What are you doing with the clothes?
41:31
[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, yeah, yeah, the clothes play.
41:32
[SPEAKER_01]: Because I don't understand.
41:34
[SPEAKER_01]: It was in Dubai.
41:36
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
41:36
[SPEAKER_01]: You obviously didn't bring your own closet.
41:39
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, right, right.
41:39
[SPEAKER_00]: To Dubai, right, right, right, right, right.
41:40
[SPEAKER_01]: Shop when you get there, right?
41:41
[SPEAKER_00]: Make sure that's the play.
41:42
[SPEAKER_01]: It seems like the bag get heavier and heavier.
41:45
[SPEAKER_00]: You don't tell the ghosts.
41:46
[SPEAKER_00]: Sure, it is crazy.
41:48
[SPEAKER_00]: I have to figure that out, too.
41:50
[SPEAKER_00]: So, shopping for me is very important because
41:56
[SPEAKER_00]: I believe how you dress is how you're addressed and I am a living case study of how your appearance opens up doors for you and saves you money.
42:07
[SPEAKER_00]: So I have relationships with some of the top European fashion houses and African fashion houses and black American.
42:14
[SPEAKER_00]: So I'll give you an example for Louis.
42:17
[SPEAKER_00]: product, your Gucci, when you shop with them, they allow you to create a profile.
42:22
[SPEAKER_00]: Actually, all stores allow you to create a profile.
42:24
[SPEAKER_00]: When it comes to these designer fashion houses, your profile allows you to be treated differently.
42:31
[SPEAKER_00]: So what happens is when you spend a certain amount of money and you build a relationship with a specific sales advisor, they start inviting you to private shows and starting inviting you to private events, private listings, and early access to products that is not for everybody.
42:46
[SPEAKER_00]: For example, during the pandemic, I probably purchased 30 pairs of LV trainers, these shoes call $5000, right?
42:56
[SPEAKER_00]: Some people like, well, how would you spend all that money on shoes?
42:59
[SPEAKER_00]: I'm not paying for shoes, I'm paying for my membership.
43:02
[SPEAKER_00]: So when fashion week pops up, I get an invite, to get a fluid out to a Paris to meet for real, to meet a push to T. And then those relationships give me opportunities to do business in other areas, right?
43:20
[SPEAKER_00]: And then when it comes to these profiles,
43:26
[SPEAKER_00]: Early access when Louis Vuitton did a collab with Mikey with the Air Force ones.
43:32
[SPEAKER_00]: Versus your oblo did the collab.
43:34
[SPEAKER_00]: I was selected to be able to purchase the shoe at retail.
43:38
[SPEAKER_00]: Retail was about like probably $3,000.
43:40
[SPEAKER_00]: Something to shoe after retail was $20,000.
43:44
[SPEAKER_00]: What?
43:44
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, bro.
43:50
[SPEAKER_00]: Those shoes sold for $20,000, $30,000 to this day.
43:54
[SPEAKER_00]: I was just in South Africa, the shoe I purchased, I asked him how much is it?
43:58
[SPEAKER_00]: He says $23,000.
44:00
[SPEAKER_00]: I paid $3,000 for that shoe.
44:01
[SPEAKER_00]: Wow.
44:02
[SPEAKER_00]: And the only reason I got access, early access to that shoes because I had stock in the company.
44:08
[SPEAKER_00]: And I had relationships.
44:09
[SPEAKER_00]: You know what I'm saying?
44:11
[SPEAKER_00]: The same way people would get IPOs, pre-IPOs, access is based on relationships.
44:16
[SPEAKER_00]: So these clothes are assets.
44:19
[SPEAKER_00]: and not we're not buying over-priced clothing.
44:23
[SPEAKER_00]: These pieces are just tools for specific relationships.
44:29
[SPEAKER_01]: What do we do with all of it, bro, because you know, that's the next question.
44:32
[SPEAKER_01]: You're just, you have a hat.
44:33
[SPEAKER_00]: Once I cut, cut, look at all these clothes.
44:34
[SPEAKER_00]: What am I doing it?
44:35
[SPEAKER_00]: Especially with the fact that I'm not wearing it more than probably three times, right?
44:39
[SPEAKER_00]: So I have to create a system like yo.
44:41
[SPEAKER_00]: This is not, yeah, it makes sense to apply it to get access to other relationships, but what am I going to be doing with these clothes?
44:47
[SPEAKER_00]: So I'm going to tell you what I do.
44:49
[SPEAKER_00]: So you can either sell your clothes, rent your clothes,
44:53
[SPEAKER_00]: border your clothes, use it as collateral for other deals, or the last one is rented.
45:01
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, five options.
45:03
[SPEAKER_00]: When you start viewing your clothes as assets, the world is yours.
45:07
[SPEAKER_00]: And I was able to look at clothes differently because I've already experienced that with Airbnb.
45:12
[SPEAKER_00]: My condo is an asset.
45:14
[SPEAKER_00]: My driveway is an asset.
45:16
[SPEAKER_00]: My cars are asset.
45:17
[SPEAKER_00]: I'm already used to running out my utilities
45:23
[SPEAKER_01]: How do you find the people to, all right, let me get that jacket, let me wear it for a night, and then, right, I bring it back.
45:28
[SPEAKER_00]: So, people.
45:30
[SPEAKER_00]: People couple of men, I'll just came for them all.
45:32
[SPEAKER_00]: I probably, if I had my, medical access on, I probably could have recorded 20 people, saying that's a nice jacket.
45:38
[SPEAKER_01]: It is a nice jacket.
45:39
[SPEAKER_00]: The moment, thank you.
45:41
[SPEAKER_00]: The moment somebody compliments you, it needs to trigger an opportunity.
45:45
[SPEAKER_00]: Most people wouldn't be doing that here, somebody complimenting me.
45:47
[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, thank you, appreciate it, and I move on.
45:49
[SPEAKER_00]: They missed the play.
45:51
[SPEAKER_00]: They missed the opportunity to introduce themselves.
45:53
[SPEAKER_00]: And because when you introduce yourself, you then let them know who you are, what you do, and how you provide value.
45:58
[SPEAKER_00]: The last piece is your offers.
46:00
[SPEAKER_00]: When you let people know what you have to offer, opportunities come where they say, oh, I know somebody who does that.
46:06
[SPEAKER_00]: I just met them at the mall.
46:07
[SPEAKER_00]: He had a dope jacket.
46:08
[SPEAKER_00]: Here's his Instagram following him on here.
46:10
[SPEAKER_00]: And that could have been a business opportunity.
46:13
[SPEAKER_00]: So those are the small little things that open up the doors for that.
46:17
[SPEAKER_00]: So when it comes to running, because people say, well, I don't have a lot of followers.
46:20
[SPEAKER_00]: How can I find somebody right?
46:22
[SPEAKER_00]: You just have to make it enough offers or people will find out.
46:25
[SPEAKER_00]: A new restaurant, nobody knew who that restaurant was at one point.
46:28
[SPEAKER_00]: But they set up the sign, set the chairs out, and put the offer out the menu.
46:35
[SPEAKER_00]: One person sat down, looked at the menu, looked at the prices, enjoyed the meal, and then word them out so it's a spread.
46:40
[SPEAKER_00]: That's just how it works.
46:41
[SPEAKER_00]: but you can't be renting out most of it you're selling right because you can't carry on the stuff you can't get it back from all these people and all that I have storage units that set up like storefronts and different countries yes literally that's how it works but my main my main place is a lenta
47:00
[SPEAKER_00]: So, I typically I'm wearing my clothes in those countries and then I just like, oh, yes, so I just flew in for friends this day.
47:07
[SPEAKER_00]: I brought five bags, huge bags, extra large bags with me from shopping for the last three months.
47:15
[SPEAKER_00]: I'm going to put in a storage, I'm going to have one of the brothers take a picture of all the clothes, itemize it, and then the marketing begins.
47:24
[SPEAKER_00]: The marketing is,
47:26
[SPEAKER_00]: not selling or renting clothes, renting the outcome of what happens when you have these clothes.
47:32
[SPEAKER_00]: So I have a whole layout.
47:34
[SPEAKER_00]: This jacket, I saw Duane Wade wearing the same jacket.
47:38
[SPEAKER_00]: I'll take a picture of Duane Wade wearing the jacket, I'll put the pictures together.
47:44
[SPEAKER_00]: So people will see this is the look, this is the style, this is how it's being style.
47:48
[SPEAKER_00]: And then I need to target the people that can actually afford it.
47:52
[SPEAKER_00]: So not everybody, this jacket costs about $5,000, almost $4,400, not everybody can afford that, but they can afford to rent it for a day.
47:59
[SPEAKER_00]: It's only $200.
48:02
[SPEAKER_00]: $150 to rent the jacket, so that's what it comes down to.
48:07
[SPEAKER_00]: And there's people who can afford the jacket will rather rent it because they're not going to be wearing it.
48:12
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, yeah.
48:12
[SPEAKER_01]: That's smarter because I don't think anything I've spent if I bought a, I don't know, $1500 sweater or $2,000 sweater, or something like that.
48:21
[SPEAKER_01]: I don't remember wearing it because you can't overdo it.
48:24
[SPEAKER_00]: Right.
48:25
[SPEAKER_00]: And then here's a picture of it.
48:26
[SPEAKER_00]: I went to Monaco F1 based off of a bunch of Instagram posts.
48:31
[SPEAKER_00]: My yo.
48:32
[SPEAKER_00]: Why is everybody in my account?
48:33
[SPEAKER_00]: All my high level business people, I'm flying on my account.
48:38
[SPEAKER_00]: I didn't have a ticket.
48:40
[SPEAKER_00]: I didn't have a hotel accommodations.
48:42
[SPEAKER_00]: I knew I was just going to figure it out.
48:43
[SPEAKER_00]: So I got my pack my bags.
48:46
[SPEAKER_00]: I knew based on my appearance, doors would open, and that's exactly what happened.
48:51
[SPEAKER_00]: Soon as I land, I'm walking.
48:52
[SPEAKER_00]: All I love your outfit.
48:54
[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, thank you so much.
48:55
[SPEAKER_00]: What are you doing in town?
48:56
[SPEAKER_00]: All I just landed.
48:57
[SPEAKER_00]: I'll show you around.
49:01
[SPEAKER_00]: Immediately, right.
49:03
[SPEAKER_00]: So she's showing me around.
49:05
[SPEAKER_00]: This is a French-Geros, actually look.
49:08
[SPEAKER_01]: She's a little...
49:09
[SPEAKER_00]: It's a little wild.
49:12
[SPEAKER_00]: I said my God, so angel from God, so we're walking, and people like, oh, who's this tall guy?
49:19
[SPEAKER_00]: Glasses, fancy, loud, alphate with this short French girl.
49:24
[SPEAKER_00]: Now everybody's keep looking and looking and instructing more people.
49:27
[SPEAKER_00]: Trying to figure out who we are, what we got going on and attracted a photographer.
49:31
[SPEAKER_00]: So now I have this short French girl named you do that, just a minute, and now I'm a photographer following me.
49:38
[SPEAKER_00]: I'm looking like some sort of celebrity and then people walking up like who are you?
49:43
[SPEAKER_00]: What do you do?
49:44
[SPEAKER_00]: Are you a rapper?
49:45
[SPEAKER_00]: Are you an actor?
49:46
[SPEAKER_00]: Are you a basketball player?
49:47
[SPEAKER_00]: What do you do?
49:48
[SPEAKER_00]: Well, I'm just me, man.
49:50
[SPEAKER_00]: Let me get your Instagram.
49:50
[SPEAKER_00]: Let's take a picture.
49:52
[SPEAKER_00]: All that energy.
49:53
[SPEAKER_01]: And pictures, man.
49:55
[SPEAKER_00]: All that energy is turning into a door man seeing it and saying, yeah, you good.
50:00
[SPEAKER_00]: And I even ask you me if I have a ticket.
50:02
[SPEAKER_00]: And I even ask me if I have a wristband.
50:04
[SPEAKER_00]: Letting me is all right.
50:06
[SPEAKER_00]: Crazy.
50:07
[SPEAKER_00]: This is literally what's happening.
50:09
[SPEAKER_00]: And I've been experiencing this for the last 15 years.
50:11
[SPEAKER_00]: It's not nothing new.
50:12
[SPEAKER_00]: I actually I don't I want to say I expect it with like a pretentious mindset, but I'm not surprised at all So Even the one comes to the shopping There's a specific area where me just walking up wasn't going to fly.
50:28
[SPEAKER_00]: All right.
50:29
[SPEAKER_00]: There's like oh where's your husband now?
50:30
[SPEAKER_00]: Now you can't come in here
50:31
[SPEAKER_00]: I go into Louis, I start shopping, I was going to be shopping anywhere, I get bags, I'm walking around on the bags, I go to that same area, he just lets me out.
50:40
[SPEAKER_00]: Perception is crazy.
50:42
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, we were in Houston, for AfroTat, yeah.
50:50
[SPEAKER_01]: And somehow, I think somebody gave me like, or no, I didn't even have a ticket, I don't think, to this event and you're like, you know, let's just go anyway.
51:02
[SPEAKER_01]: No, you really take it.
51:07
[SPEAKER_01]: No, I'm just unprepared to get turned around.
51:10
[SPEAKER_01]: You started talking to the lady up there and you're like, all right, we're good.
51:14
[SPEAKER_01]: I was like, yo, hello, let's just say the one.
51:18
[SPEAKER_01]: that you know that it was that was that's crazy she happened to work like I think I had somebody sent me a ticket and then you came back later something like that no you were good you had yeah I went in and then I'm in and I'm my day man man I can't come in I can't get out of evil food I'll throw out but I'm in it like
51:39
[SPEAKER_00]: I've had this experience book like, bro, every time even Neo and him 500, we were going to grant Cardones VIP party.
51:47
[SPEAKER_00]: Did not have any tickets.
51:49
[SPEAKER_00]: So we walk in, of course, security, they don't know who we are.
51:54
[SPEAKER_00]: And we can't just say, oh, I know the owner.
51:56
[SPEAKER_00]: I know this.
51:56
[SPEAKER_00]: We can't always name drop, right?
51:59
[SPEAKER_00]: But I'm not tripping.
52:00
[SPEAKER_00]: I have patience.
52:01
[SPEAKER_00]: So as I'm waiting, I'm like, I'm just, no worries.
52:04
[SPEAKER_00]: Somebody's gonna walk past sooner or later and recognize us and we'll let us in.
52:09
[SPEAKER_00]: But at this time, I'll try to throw a meal under the bus.
52:12
[SPEAKER_00]: But he was at, he was at, patient, I always like, oh, man, we should just pay.
52:17
[SPEAKER_01]: We gotta pay the player, you know, this is paying the ticket, I'm like rich friends, dude.
52:23
[SPEAKER_00]: He ended up leaving, left, right, not even probably five minutes later, Grant pulls up.
52:30
[SPEAKER_00]: Full authorized.
52:31
[SPEAKER_00]: Hey, Maddie, come on.
52:34
[SPEAKER_00]: I called you, I'm like, bro, I told you, she says he's waiting.
52:38
[SPEAKER_00]: Now I'm in mirror with.
52:40
[SPEAKER_00]: Nelly and Florida.
52:43
[SPEAKER_00]: And this is a room that costs $10,000.
52:47
[SPEAKER_00]: But based on relationship, I didn't have to pay anything by guys' grace, and I'm still utilizing the space to build relationships based on good energy, smiling, being a value, and some shape of a form.
52:58
[SPEAKER_00]: And then that relationship, so I built in that room, turns out to other opportunities.
53:03
[SPEAKER_00]: It's just like a domino effect.
53:04
[SPEAKER_01]: Incredible, bro.
53:06
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
53:07
[SPEAKER_01]: This, the lifestyle that you're living right now.
53:12
[SPEAKER_01]: Um, do you, do you miss the settle down lifestyle at all?
53:15
[SPEAKER_00]: Yes, absolutely.
53:17
[SPEAKER_01]: Really.
53:17
[SPEAKER_00]: Yes, for sure, but I, again, I believe everything happens for a reason.
53:22
[SPEAKER_00]: I need the experience that I'm experiencing, that I have been experiencing as a tool for inspiration, education, proper alignment, because when somebody asks me, yo, I was in a similar situation.
53:35
[SPEAKER_00]: What do you think I should do?
53:36
[SPEAKER_00]: I can share through real experience.
53:42
[SPEAKER_00]: play by play step one you should do this step two I'm just telling my story I want to do a real experience here and based on my storytelling is going to impact you emotionally enough to make a decision that I hope will be in your best interest your best interest not mine not anybody else yours so what are we doing about this which one
54:03
[SPEAKER_01]: You said you do try this the settle down.
54:07
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, life style, but it seems like you're having a good free lifestyle Yeah, when he's a change is I don't wish singleness on no man no man should be single
54:20
[SPEAKER_01]: Of course, in the early stages, first on, okay, I don't real quick, real quick, because I low-key, like, got proud of you a little bit, because, like, you reach one of your goals.
54:29
[SPEAKER_01]: I remember maybe a couple months ago, I was either a couple months ago, or yeah, it was months ago before the time that I'm about to talk about.
54:38
[SPEAKER_01]: You're a video, you're like, you have this video of this DJ.
54:43
[SPEAKER_01]: Like this DJ, she's like, oh my gosh, I love this so much.
54:48
[SPEAKER_01]: It was so, it was so, it was so, like, oh my gosh, I am.
54:51
[SPEAKER_01]: He said, I don't really fit out like that with it.
54:53
[SPEAKER_01]: Oh my gosh, I've been loved.
54:55
[SPEAKER_01]: and then I should have a few weeks ago.
54:59
[SPEAKER_01]: I saw he was with them doing all of this together.
55:01
[SPEAKER_01]: I said, that's how many times it's going to go on this side of me.
55:07
[SPEAKER_00]: But those are just all fun games and it takes me man, all these situations.
55:11
[SPEAKER_01]: But I mean, there's no reason, well, I'm asking you, is there a reason to give that up for
55:24
[SPEAKER_00]: I definitely don't want average, but I definitely want spiritually aligned.
55:28
[SPEAKER_00]: I want to make sure that everything I do, I'll be able to do it.
55:32
[SPEAKER_00]: If God was with me, like in the flesh, I wouldn't be scared or acting weird that I'm doing it.
55:42
[SPEAKER_00]: I want to be comfortable.
55:44
[SPEAKER_00]: That's amazing.
55:45
[SPEAKER_00]: I think I got a turn for all, what would Jesus do?
55:48
[SPEAKER_00]: That phrase is so important because if you don't believe Jesus will do it, why are you doing it?
55:53
[SPEAKER_01]: But I mean, so it's something wrong with that.
55:55
[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, there are people that are like, so let's say, young, Miami.
56:03
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, Miami?
56:04
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
56:05
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
56:06
[SPEAKER_01]: They're like, yo, what makes you guys favorite of something like that?
56:11
[SPEAKER_00]: Oh yeah, I see that too.
56:12
[SPEAKER_01]: Well, for this moment, right here, we got the number one we're on something in the country talking about.
56:17
[SPEAKER_01]: Got it, for example.
56:17
[SPEAKER_00]: We can't make it all kind of stuff.
56:19
[SPEAKER_01]: Which got actually, she's like, yo, this is my, so my, so somebody will say to what I'm saying, yo, imagine it's in the club dancing.
56:28
[SPEAKER_01]: Right, right, right, it's cool.
56:29
[SPEAKER_01]: Like why wouldn't God approve of that?
56:32
[SPEAKER_00]: Right, right.
56:33
[SPEAKER_00]: Actually, I don't believe that I should be in clubs.
56:36
[SPEAKER_00]: If I'm fully right to sleep aligned, I should have been close.
56:40
[SPEAKER_00]: There's something that one of the missionaries in church mentioned that it was a game changer.
56:45
[SPEAKER_00]: Right, even though I'm not drinking, I'm not smoking, I'm not how we're at women trying to do deviate activities.
56:51
[SPEAKER_00]: I'm just not sure laugh how you're having fun, right?
56:56
[SPEAKER_00]: Right, in my mind, it's, it's, uh, harmless.
57:02
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, the missionary told me this.
57:04
[SPEAKER_00]: He said, if a fight broke, broke out, right?
57:07
[SPEAKER_00]: And you're just doing your thing.
57:10
[SPEAKER_00]: And you get hurt or you witnessed somebody get hurt next year.
57:13
[SPEAKER_00]: Whatever the case may be, you're now involved in a situation.
57:17
[SPEAKER_00]: The number one question that
57:20
[SPEAKER_00]: Somebody who is spiritually locked in with ass isn't why are you hurt or why are you affected this?
57:28
[SPEAKER_01]: Why are you there in the first place?
57:31
[SPEAKER_00]: After 10 o'clock.
57:34
[SPEAKER_00]: Why would are you even a witness?
57:37
[SPEAKER_00]: Imagine I was all the news.
57:40
[SPEAKER_00]: I witnessed something and I'm just just all the carrot telling people what I witnessed.
57:45
[SPEAKER_00]: Why were you been there to witness it, right?
57:52
[SPEAKER_01]: But I guess something will still say it's nothing wrong with things.
57:56
[SPEAKER_00]: You can always get time.
57:57
[SPEAKER_00]: Here's another thing.
57:58
[SPEAKER_00]: Yes, you can always, there always be that response.
58:02
[SPEAKER_00]: Not only is, okay, if something's not wrong, right?
58:06
[SPEAKER_00]: If you're at one place, the next question is, why are you there and if you're there, where could you be at?
58:13
[SPEAKER_00]: Or where should you be at?
58:15
[SPEAKER_00]: Because if you're in one place, that means you're not in another place that it can actually be more productive.
58:20
[SPEAKER_00]: That's what it comes down to.
58:22
[SPEAKER_01]: So I went last night and I actually felt good about this because I was thinking and contemplating in my going, but I'm like, yo, these are my guys.
58:30
[SPEAKER_01]: They support they support them in a podcast.
58:33
[SPEAKER_01]: So I'm going to support something that I do.
58:35
[SPEAKER_01]: I want to support what they're doing for sure.
58:37
[SPEAKER_01]: And I told my wife, I was like, yo, so we just webinar.
58:40
[SPEAKER_01]: And it was like super late.
58:40
[SPEAKER_01]: And he was like, we still got a catch at least to end.
58:44
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, yeah.
58:44
[SPEAKER_01]: So you were perfect.
58:46
[SPEAKER_01]: Example, how to do it in a very mature way.
58:49
[SPEAKER_01]: Well, I bring my wife because my wife likes to get dressed and go out.
58:54
[SPEAKER_01]: So at part we bring her.
58:55
[SPEAKER_01]: And we only do it for like 30, 45 minutes.
58:57
[SPEAKER_01]: Right.
59:00
[SPEAKER_01]: But what I was more excited about was the fact that when I showed up People were surprised I was like, what are you doing here?
59:13
[SPEAKER_01]: You know what you're doing?
59:16
[SPEAKER_01]: I heard that once I heard a thousand times What are you doing?
59:18
[SPEAKER_01]: I'm like, it's time to switch down!
59:20
[SPEAKER_01]: Daisy!
59:22
[SPEAKER_01]: How could I bro?
59:24
[SPEAKER_01]: And I was excited about that because I was like
59:28
[SPEAKER_01]: I'm able to shape my brand and it's not that I don't go because I don't want to I really don't want to go and there's nothing I- there's nothing I can do and it's one girl I'm a brand.
59:35
[SPEAKER_01]: This one normally happens to me.
59:37
[SPEAKER_01]: So so y'all got to take a picture She's telling me all the stuff that you know like it's viral all that stuff and she grabs my head
59:45
[SPEAKER_01]: It tried to lock my jaw up like you, like you know, they don't want me, you feel a steam.
59:53
[SPEAKER_01]: You blow up like a steam.
59:54
[SPEAKER_01]: Get out of here.
59:55
[SPEAKER_01]: You're like, I'm having me, bro.
59:58
[SPEAKER_01]: Sees hurt.
1:00:01
[SPEAKER_01]: I'm the hand me.
1:00:02
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, but that doesn't normally happen to me.
1:00:05
[SPEAKER_01]: And I was like, oh, don't see those, don't see those things.
1:00:08
[SPEAKER_00]: And yeah, yes, yes, yes, yes.
1:00:12
[SPEAKER_00]: Here's the thing though.
1:00:13
[SPEAKER_00]: I think certain people, like their special ops, their special, like military people who are able to be in certain spaces that most people shouldn't be.
1:00:24
[SPEAKER_00]: I've actually received that as you guys before, but there's always a line.
1:00:27
[SPEAKER_00]: You have to be aware, you have to be intentional, you have to be really good at communication because just a simple situation like that where you had no control of her locker.
1:00:36
[SPEAKER_00]: Who did that lock the door?
1:00:38
[SPEAKER_00]: I just got arrested.
1:00:39
[SPEAKER_00]: What?
1:00:41
[SPEAKER_00]: Right.
1:00:42
[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, like sis could I saw that and we met at you and you didn't even do that So definitely know That was the my fault.
1:00:50
[SPEAKER_01]: You're fine I see you like it.
1:00:53
[SPEAKER_01]: I didn't like it.
1:00:54
[SPEAKER_00]: I don't like it.
1:00:56
[SPEAKER_00]: I don't like to blame the TV.
1:00:58
[SPEAKER_00]: I like to blame
1:01:00
[SPEAKER_00]: Like, so a lot of people say, well, TV's bad for you.
1:01:02
[SPEAKER_00]: No, TV itself is not bad for you.
1:01:05
[SPEAKER_00]: You need to change the channel sometimes, right?
1:01:08
[SPEAKER_00]: Or it's the person who's perceiving the TV.
1:01:11
[SPEAKER_00]: Because I can watch the same exact program with somebody in kit at completely different results.
1:01:15
[SPEAKER_00]: Completely different results.
1:01:17
[SPEAKER_00]: And there's examples of that even in the Bible, but yeah, when it comes to awareness of what where you are, why you're there, and what purpose you're doing it for, those things are very important to ask, because even doing carinals, driving luxury cars, and then showing up to church in the Lambo, range over the next day, and rolls right to the next day, a jewellery, it wasn't sitting right.
1:01:40
[SPEAKER_00]: Like, am I?
1:01:41
[SPEAKER_01]: I think it arises jealousy.
1:01:43
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, in the beginning, I'm like, yo, this can cause somebody to stumble.
1:01:47
[SPEAKER_00]: No, no, no, no, you know what?
1:01:51
[SPEAKER_00]: In order for me to be prosperous, like, like, Maddie, I'm much so quiet.
1:01:59
[SPEAKER_00]: that he's doing good in church.
1:02:00
[SPEAKER_00]: I must have it.
1:02:01
[SPEAKER_00]: But there's always new us in context.
1:02:06
[SPEAKER_00]: And the person doing it always has to be prepared to answer.
1:02:10
[SPEAKER_00]: Like if somebody questions, you can't be mad at them.
1:02:12
[SPEAKER_00]: Like, why are you driving that type of car while going in church?
1:02:14
[SPEAKER_00]: You shouldn't be offended.
1:02:15
[SPEAKER_00]: You should just simply and humbly explain.
1:02:19
[SPEAKER_00]: Like even Jesus when Jesus was getting questioned by the leaders of the church.
1:02:26
[SPEAKER_00]: He always was able to answer the questions in a way that made them say, all right, you got it.
1:02:31
[SPEAKER_00]: I think like why are you doing this on a cell?
1:02:34
[SPEAKER_00]: Why are you doing this?
1:02:35
[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, okay, okay, why are you saying, should we stone this woman?
1:02:39
[SPEAKER_00]: He who cast the question, who hasn't said cast the, all these little plays were the mature way to respond to something that people perceive in a certain way can be easily corrected.
1:02:50
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, let me ask you just a question, as we wrap, man, are you coming back to the states?
1:02:56
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I need to, like you said, set it down and it's key, having a routine, it's key key key key key key key key key key key key key key key key key key key key key key key key key key key key key key key key key key key key key key key key key key key key key key key key key key key key key key key key key key key key key key key key key key key key key key key key key key key key key key key key key key key key key key key key key key key key key key key key key key key key key key key key key key key key key key key key key key key key key key key key key key key key key key key key key key key key key key key key key key key key key key key key key key key key key key key key key key key key key key key key key key key key key key key key key key key key key key key key key key key key key key key key key key key key key key key key key key key key key key key
1:03:25
[SPEAKER_00]: Another thing, again, if it's God's will, it's God's will, it's not God's will, it's not God's will, right?
1:03:29
[SPEAKER_00]: So being locked into a relationship, right, back to the spiritual activities consistently, it's super important.
1:03:40
[SPEAKER_00]: Because I'm not fine, like people who a lot of people struggle with spiritual development because they're focused, they're like, trying to survive physically.
1:03:47
[SPEAKER_00]: Right?
1:03:49
[SPEAKER_00]: But they don't realize most people are struggling financially because they're not locked in spiritually.
1:03:54
[SPEAKER_00]: They try to get situated physically first, so they get locked in spiritually, is backwards.
1:04:00
[SPEAKER_00]: And we can go into a whole other layer on why that's the case.
1:04:02
[SPEAKER_00]: But for me, I took
1:04:06
[SPEAKER_00]: Tap back into okay if I want everything in my life to be properly lying and you start with a source That's just how that works.
1:04:12
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, you know saying and mind you I didn't I never like
1:04:16
[SPEAKER_00]: like, straight so far away, right?
1:04:19
[SPEAKER_00]: It was just a little bit different, a little bit different.
1:04:22
[SPEAKER_00]: And my favorite pair of one, the Bible is the prodigal son.
1:04:27
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
1:04:28
[SPEAKER_00]: Anybody who studies the parable of the prodigal son, I can relate with that story.
1:04:34
[SPEAKER_00]: Tell us the biggest part of it was, well, the son, part of the family, right?
1:04:39
[SPEAKER_00]: But he wasn't satisfied with being with the family, so he went out in the world, did his old thing.
1:04:44
[SPEAKER_00]: All right, I wasn't gambling and doing drugs and nothing like that, but that's what the, that's what the, what something was doing was out in the world feasting, doing his thing.
1:04:52
[SPEAKER_00]: And then once he realized that that wasn't a lifestyle, that wasn't an alignment with him and what he, what he was brought up doing, he returned home.
1:04:59
[SPEAKER_00]: And his dad threw a party from.
1:05:03
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
1:05:04
[SPEAKER_00]: All right, welcome them with open arms, while the brother, his brother, that didn't leave with so confused on why is he getting all this love and appreciate it?
1:05:12
[SPEAKER_00]: He's the one who left, I stay in the story the whole of the story was when somebody has a realization, that's something to be celebrated.
1:05:21
[SPEAKER_00]: That's something to be appreciated, all right?
1:05:24
[SPEAKER_00]: And that person needs to be felt like they're welcome home, all right?
1:05:26
[SPEAKER_00]: So for me,
1:05:28
[SPEAKER_00]: by God's grace, even though I had many different distractions, God would never, by God's grace, never has allowed me to stray away from the core of finding home and finding the centerpiece, so I can be a good example.
1:05:42
[SPEAKER_00]: And I know my purpose here as long as my mission is to
1:05:46
[SPEAKER_00]: Understand, God's love and display it and be in God's image.
1:05:52
[SPEAKER_00]: So that's what I met.
1:05:54
[SPEAKER_00]: That's my path.
1:05:54
[SPEAKER_00]: No.
1:05:55
[SPEAKER_00]: So is this this trip home like you're not going back or you know, so I have to go back to I got clothes and Kenya or what I got.
1:06:15
[SPEAKER_00]: Definitely Loganville.
1:06:17
[SPEAKER_01]: You come back to a little.
1:06:18
[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, sure.
1:06:18
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, for sure.
1:06:19
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
1:06:20
[SPEAKER_00]: Again, I don't know.
1:06:21
[SPEAKER_00]: God's will is.
1:06:21
[SPEAKER_00]: I can have my plan all I want.
1:06:24
[SPEAKER_00]: But all that really matters is making sure that I'm my focus on doing God's will and pleasing God.
1:06:30
[SPEAKER_00]: That's what that's my goal.
1:06:32
[SPEAKER_00]: I don't care.
1:06:33
[SPEAKER_00]: Where is that?
1:06:35
[SPEAKER_00]: Where who I'm with?
1:06:36
[SPEAKER_00]: It's whatever it lines with answering the question, are you doing God's will?
1:06:41
[SPEAKER_00]: Yes,
1:06:43
[SPEAKER_01]: It means it'd be yes a prodigal sign has returned from the street.
1:06:47
[SPEAKER_00]: No, maybe not make that the title on his video bro
1:06:56
[SPEAKER_01]: I'm not, but it's, I think, I think you have an incredible story, I know you have thousands of stories to tell from your explorations around the world.
1:07:10
[SPEAKER_01]: Before we wrap, I want that, I want one of those stories, bro.
1:07:14
[SPEAKER_01]: Like the craziest story, like one that you're making up.
1:07:19
[SPEAKER_00]: No, man.
1:07:20
[SPEAKER_01]: I got some crazy stories give me what out the full like our context you So I'll look at the crazy Last year I picked through the crazy situation give me one of their stories Hey, they will come back and expel all of it, but I want to hear What are the stories Oh I can't do it.
1:07:42
[SPEAKER_00]: No, it's a crazy reason why you can tell them here
1:07:48
[SPEAKER_00]: For me to be considered crazy, it's literally, it falls in the category.
1:07:52
[SPEAKER_00]: You can't tell the whole camera, that's the category.
1:07:55
[SPEAKER_00]: That's the framework of your Buddha be it.
1:07:57
[SPEAKER_00]: Other stories like, what?
1:07:58
[SPEAKER_01]: Just give me a good story.
1:07:59
[SPEAKER_00]: OK, a good story.
1:08:00
[SPEAKER_01]: For your exploration, where you realize something, he was like, yo.
1:08:05
[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, the main thing was on the transition to Africa.
1:08:08
[SPEAKER_00]: So I initially, like I said, I initially went to Dubai.
1:08:12
[SPEAKER_00]: I was hyping up Dubai.
1:08:13
[SPEAKER_01]: And everybody got to Dubai.
1:08:14
[SPEAKER_00]: That's the next golden land, best no tax.
1:08:18
[SPEAKER_00]: Everybody was trending.
1:08:20
[SPEAKER_00]: And I happen to be a person on ground, everybody was talking about Dubai and Maddie was in Dubai.
1:08:26
[SPEAKER_00]: So my authority, my influence, increased.
1:08:30
[SPEAKER_00]: So while I'm in Dubai, I position myself super early.
1:08:33
[SPEAKER_00]: I'm already living there for cheap because of the relationship with Mario Hotels.
1:08:37
[SPEAKER_00]: I'm living in luxury hotels.
1:08:40
[SPEAKER_00]: I can take Overs for nothing and the Overs there are either Lexuses,
1:08:45
[SPEAKER_00]: the newest Toyota or the Mercedes-Benz.
1:08:48
[SPEAKER_00]: Raw sheep, super cheap.
1:08:51
[SPEAKER_00]: I took an Uber from the airport to Buckhead, it cost $70.
1:08:55
[SPEAKER_01]: Welcome back home.
1:08:57
[SPEAKER_00]: Welcome home.
1:08:59
[SPEAKER_00]: And Dubai, it would have been like $13 for the same distance.
1:09:03
[SPEAKER_00]: So I increased my net worth by moving to a place with high net worth earnings.
1:09:09
[SPEAKER_00]: It's crazy.
1:09:09
[SPEAKER_00]: Just offered a little of the lifestyle.
1:09:11
[SPEAKER_00]: But then anyways,
1:09:13
[SPEAKER_00]: So I'm hyping up Dubai, y'all should move here, and I'm seeing based on my influence based on my post people are visiting Dubai, having the same experiences, and I'm seeing more people actually move there.
1:09:24
[SPEAKER_00]: But then I got a call from somebody.
1:09:27
[SPEAKER_00]: He said, hey bro, I see you in Dubai, living your life, but why are you hyping up the Middle East, your Africans?
1:09:39
[SPEAKER_00]: This man was cutting me up really.
1:09:41
[SPEAKER_00]: Oh my goodness.
1:09:43
[SPEAKER_00]: He was just so disappointed.
1:09:44
[SPEAKER_00]: I'm over here happy.
1:09:45
[SPEAKER_00]: I'm thinking about this.
1:09:46
[SPEAKER_01]: Is this somebody like one of your peers?
1:09:47
[SPEAKER_01]: Am I really respect?
1:09:48
[SPEAKER_00]: Am I really respect?
1:09:49
[SPEAKER_00]: That travels.
1:09:50
[SPEAKER_00]: I really travels.
1:09:51
[SPEAKER_00]: I'm over here.
1:09:52
[SPEAKER_00]: Hey man, do buy some amazing things.
1:09:54
[SPEAKER_00]: you're African.
1:09:56
[SPEAKER_00]: First of all, the name is not my hobby.
1:09:59
[SPEAKER_00]: Your name is Matti.
1:10:01
[SPEAKER_00]: Jay, not Matti, I leave, name is Matti, Jay.
1:10:05
[SPEAKER_00]: You need to be in Africa.
1:10:06
[SPEAKER_00]: All right, cool.
1:10:08
[SPEAKER_00]: I'm not enjoying, but everybody says, if I go to the time, cheer and we're getting kidnapped, they're like, there's no attraction from, I'm growing up, even my own family members don't even like, hype it up.
1:10:20
[SPEAKER_00]: So watch out, go.
1:10:21
[SPEAKER_00]: and he gave me all the reasons again, it's going in one year or the other.
1:10:24
[SPEAKER_00]: And then again, that's when EYL had to event.
1:10:27
[SPEAKER_00]: That's when Dettie December starts to upstairs to see the timeline of people going to Africa and then having a time.
1:10:34
[SPEAKER_00]: So I'm being what they call a positive propaganda that I should go to Africa.
1:10:40
[SPEAKER_00]: So I know flying there, I say, oh my god, this is definitely amazing, this is definitely home.
1:10:44
[SPEAKER_00]: So I go from Ghana.
1:10:46
[SPEAKER_00]: Nigeria's only an hour flight away.
1:10:48
[SPEAKER_00]: Some are here, might as well go to Nigeria.
1:10:50
[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, it's not as bad as people think.
1:10:52
[SPEAKER_00]: I can't live here, but I'm here experiencing it.
1:10:56
[SPEAKER_00]: So I was in Nigeria for like four months.
1:10:58
[SPEAKER_00]: I was in Ghana for almost two years, right?
1:11:01
[SPEAKER_00]: This is like a span of four years.
1:11:03
[SPEAKER_00]: Then my visa runs up.
1:11:07
[SPEAKER_00]: I didn't realize how powerful the U.S. password is.
1:11:11
[SPEAKER_00]: Just pop up in, you're good, golden.
1:11:17
[SPEAKER_00]: But when my visa expired and for Ghana, I was scared of my yo, what happens if my visa expires and I don't leave?
1:11:25
[SPEAKER_01]: It's like, man, Ghana, you can pay for anything.
1:11:28
[SPEAKER_01]: This is where I got introduced to the corruption.
1:11:30
[SPEAKER_00]: You can literally pay for anything.
1:11:32
[SPEAKER_00]: Yes.
1:11:34
[SPEAKER_00]: The US is corrupt, every country is corrupt, but it's behind the scenes corruption.
1:11:39
[SPEAKER_00]: Ghana, Nigeria, what's that?
1:11:41
[SPEAKER_00]: Most places are up front, and you're face.
1:11:46
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, pay me.
1:11:47
[SPEAKER_00]: If you want to do this, you got to pay me.
1:11:50
[SPEAKER_00]: Up front.
1:11:50
[SPEAKER_00]: You pay for anything.
1:11:51
[SPEAKER_00]: Anything.
1:11:51
[SPEAKER_00]: So I'm like, yo, my visas, it's why I don't worry about it.
1:11:54
[SPEAKER_00]: Just pay me when you're ready to leave.
1:11:55
[UNKNOWN]: What?
1:11:56
[SPEAKER_01]: What do you mean pay me when I'm ready to leave?
1:11:58
[SPEAKER_01]: Wow.
1:11:59
[SPEAKER_01]: So I know fines.
1:12:01
[SPEAKER_01]: He wouldn't be interested in me.
1:12:03
[SPEAKER_00]: So I'm like, in my mind, I'm playing around.
1:12:05
[SPEAKER_00]: I want to consider corruption, but relationships and becomes that sort of relationship.
1:12:09
[SPEAKER_00]: Who you know, you get catered to.
1:12:12
[SPEAKER_00]: So instead of me staying for only three months, which my visa says that I'm allowed, I'm not being there longer.
1:12:18
[SPEAKER_00]: And then I say, oh, man, it's time to go up.
1:12:20
[SPEAKER_00]: I don't want to go to the embassy, or I don't want to go to airport.
1:12:23
[SPEAKER_00]: And they sees me because I let this somebody say, say that they're going to take care of me.
1:12:28
[SPEAKER_00]: Don't worry about it.
1:12:29
[SPEAKER_00]: I won't be a jailer god in it, not having it.
1:12:31
[SPEAKER_00]: So I was all right, let me, let me check out an explore Africa, because Africa is huge, it's 50 plus countries in this continent.
1:12:38
[SPEAKER_00]: So I am not going to the next soft landing, South Africa.
1:12:42
[SPEAKER_00]: I say, South landing because it has a lot of infrastructure.
1:12:45
[SPEAKER_00]: What I'm used to in the Western world, fully developed South Africa, obviously we know why if you study the history but I go to Cape Town first, amazed.
1:12:55
[SPEAKER_00]: First, at the airport, I just show my password is going in.
1:13:00
[SPEAKER_00]: No, question is no, it was such an easy access.
1:13:03
[SPEAKER_00]: The power of that blue password is amazing.
1:13:05
[SPEAKER_00]: So I go in and I see the amazing views.
1:13:08
[SPEAKER_00]: I'm gonna be between the mountain and the ocean and people are just like, oh, Maddie's everywhere.
1:13:12
[SPEAKER_00]: Now I'm building this persona around Maddie's worldwide, Maddie's global.
1:13:17
[SPEAKER_00]: And that's again, increasing my value, increasing my credibility, increasing my status, all these things, and income, because people are then going to ask, how's he doing it?
1:13:26
[SPEAKER_00]: When you're doing something amazing, the next question is how, and then that's an opportunity to offer a product or service digital teaching supplements.
1:13:33
[SPEAKER_00]: Play looks exactly right.
1:13:34
[SPEAKER_00]: all my playbooks, document, everything I do in FAQ format.
1:13:38
[SPEAKER_00]: The question you're going to ask me, I already have answered.
1:13:41
[SPEAKER_00]: In the question format, the question you're going to ask me, it's going to be listed and here's the answer to it.
1:13:46
[SPEAKER_00]: Not no dialogue, not no narrative story, it's just Q&A.
1:13:51
[SPEAKER_00]: And then I went from South Africa and into Ethiopia.
1:13:55
[SPEAKER_00]: By God's grace, I had a stopover.
1:13:58
[SPEAKER_00]: So here's the play when you travel.
1:14:01
[SPEAKER_00]: When you travel, sometimes it's best to go to another country and visit that country for a day before moving on to another country.
1:14:08
[SPEAKER_00]: So I got to experience Ethiopian in that manner.
1:14:11
[SPEAKER_00]: So because I only have a day, I got to figure out the way to maximize that's 24 hours and I did.
1:14:17
[SPEAKER_00]: I said, y'all wanna be in Ethiopia, anybody who's here?
1:14:19
[SPEAKER_00]: Hit me up.
1:14:20
[SPEAKER_00]: Somebody followed me.
1:14:21
[SPEAKER_00]: They took me everywhere.
1:14:22
[SPEAKER_00]: I felt like I was there for two weeks.
1:14:24
[SPEAKER_00]: I did everything in one day, 24 hours.
1:14:28
[SPEAKER_00]: Then I got on the plane and then went to Kenya.
1:14:31
[SPEAKER_00]: I'm gonna experience a Nairobi.
1:14:32
[SPEAKER_00]: I'm going to the jungles, doing safaris, like real life natural experiences that you don't really experience anywhere else.
1:14:41
[SPEAKER_00]: And then I'm meeting people because I'm staying at the prime hotels.
1:14:46
[SPEAKER_00]: Other travelers, other businessmen are there.
1:14:48
[SPEAKER_00]: I'm networking with them.
1:14:49
[SPEAKER_00]: They invite me and they say, hey, come and roll on to with us.
1:14:52
[SPEAKER_00]: Why?
1:14:52
[SPEAKER_00]: Why are we gonna roll on to just come?
1:14:55
[SPEAKER_00]: Because I have the resources to just come.
1:14:57
[SPEAKER_00]: I'll just go.
1:14:57
[SPEAKER_00]: I won't with you.
1:14:58
[SPEAKER_00]: So I want to roll on to.
1:15:00
[SPEAKER_00]: Crazy experience.
1:15:01
[SPEAKER_00]: The cleanest culture I've ever seen in my life create clean organized, and then they have a very special Tourism attraction Called gorilla trekking you get to trek for two hours and get to see Gorillas in the nature have that it's literally the number one experience I ever had I've done everything So I was able to do that and then
1:15:24
[SPEAKER_00]: While I was in Rwanda, that just happened to be there during BAL weekend, which is like the NBA of Africa, and I got to be able to, again, network, network, network, meet people.
1:15:34
[SPEAKER_00]: And then as I'm networking, meet people, I go my time line, everybody's in my Nicole.
1:15:38
[SPEAKER_00]: That's the one.
1:15:38
[SPEAKER_00]: That's all I ended up in France.
1:15:40
[SPEAKER_00]: So I'm just bouncing.
1:15:42
[SPEAKER_00]: And none of this was planned, though.
1:15:43
[SPEAKER_00]: None of this.
1:15:44
[SPEAKER_00]: Wow.
1:15:45
[SPEAKER_00]: It's just going with the motion.
1:15:47
[SPEAKER_00]: being organized, having the right resources, and documenting the process as another piece.
1:15:54
[SPEAKER_00]: I'm documenting.
1:15:55
[SPEAKER_00]: So the point where now, our boys have a networking event, I hop on a flight, I show up.
1:16:00
[SPEAKER_00]: Hey, man, I saw you in this country, I saw you.
1:16:03
[SPEAKER_00]: Now you get to tell a story in person, and you see the real life impact as it has been having.
1:16:07
[SPEAKER_01]: So you're gonna give up all that, and then enjoy it.
1:16:10
[SPEAKER_01]: Come back back home.
1:16:12
[SPEAKER_01]: But you experienced it, and I feel like I've experienced it.
1:16:17
[SPEAKER_00]: I've got a real good experience, bro.
1:16:19
[SPEAKER_00]: Of Europe, from Asia, Africa.
1:16:22
[SPEAKER_00]: I haven't done South America yet, but that's not worth it.
1:16:26
[SPEAKER_01]: Last question, answer it as a surface level or as deep as you like.
1:16:34
[SPEAKER_01]: What is the difference in the women there versus United States and Africa?
1:16:38
[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, man.
1:16:39
[SPEAKER_00]: So the culture.
1:16:40
[SPEAKER_00]: So The culture difference.
1:16:43
[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, it's not nonsense, it's not nonsense, it's not nonsense, it's not nonsense, it's not nonsense, it's not nonsense, it's not nonsense, it's not nonsense, it's not nonsense, it's not nonsense, it's not nonsense, it's not nonsense, it's not nonsense, it's not nonsense, it's not nonsense, it's not nonsense, it's not nonsense, it's not nonsense, it's not nonsense, it's not nonsense, it's not nonsense, it's not nonsense, it's not nonsense, it's not nonsense, it's not nonsense, it's not nonsense, it's not nonsense, it's not nonsense, it's not nonsense, it's not nonsense, it's not nonsense, it's not nonsense, it's not nonsense, it's not nonsense, it's not nonsense, it's not nonsense, it's not nonsense, it's not nonsense, it's
1:17:00
[SPEAKER_00]: Oh man, the way Africans are raised is family.
1:17:05
[SPEAKER_00]: And unfortunately, black American culture in the US are just a lot of Americans.
1:17:10
[SPEAKER_00]: When we turn 18, 19, we're ready to move out and do our own thing.
1:17:15
[SPEAKER_00]: And the problem with that is it affects the whole entire economy when you go from everybody being under one household to now having four different households.
1:17:24
[SPEAKER_00]: So your brother moves out, you move out, your system moves out.
1:17:29
[SPEAKER_00]: What was once under one household as far as bills?
1:17:33
[SPEAKER_00]: Now you need your own apartment.
1:17:35
[SPEAKER_00]: That means in order for you to sustain your life, you now need more money from this job, right?
1:17:40
[SPEAKER_00]: And now you're doing that time, three.
1:17:42
[SPEAKER_00]: And now everybody in the world's doing it.
1:17:43
[SPEAKER_00]: So that's why I sell expensive in America.
1:17:45
[SPEAKER_00]: And Africa, everything is community ties.
1:17:48
[SPEAKER_00]: So they don't need
1:17:50
[SPEAKER_00]: as much money as people in America because they are working together, right, under one roof, right, and that completely influences how you interact with other human beings.
1:18:03
[SPEAKER_00]: So women, specifically, women are independent.
1:18:09
[SPEAKER_00]: They know there are dependent on a man.
1:18:11
[SPEAKER_00]: They need a man.
1:18:13
[SPEAKER_00]: In the US, it's not the same, I'm just sorry.
1:18:16
[SPEAKER_00]: Women have experienced living their life.
1:18:20
[SPEAKER_00]: independently, right?
1:18:22
[SPEAKER_00]: But in Africa, in order for you to like engage with women on a sort of specific type of level, this person needs to be your wife.
1:18:31
[SPEAKER_01]: Oh really?
1:18:31
[SPEAKER_00]: Yes, you can't, you can't play around out here.
1:18:36
[SPEAKER_00]: If you're going to entertain a woman, you have to treat her, she's your wife now.
1:18:41
[SPEAKER_01]: So it's the same thing.
1:18:45
[SPEAKER_01]: It's similar to a committed girlfriend, but you don't have to slow random.
1:18:49
[SPEAKER_00]: Correct, that random stuff.
1:18:50
[SPEAKER_01]: That's campaigns.
1:18:51
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, yeah.
1:18:52
[SPEAKER_00]: That's kind of exciting, exactly.
1:18:56
[SPEAKER_00]: Also, the difference is a little bit of like, obviously there's a culture difference as far as how things are perceived and how you react to certain things.
1:19:03
[SPEAKER_00]: Obviously, right?
1:19:04
[SPEAKER_00]: But like I said, I need to go back home.
1:19:08
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I welcome back.
1:19:10
[SPEAKER_01]: I'm sorry, I'm so glad you're here in France, I'm so glad, man, man, thank you, man, I appreciate you coming through again.
1:19:19
[SPEAKER_01]: Again, I saw you last night and I was so excited.
1:19:21
[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, man, I love my brothers, man, and people will see this, too.
1:19:25
[SPEAKER_00]: When they see us in Iraq, do I know these guys genuinely love and rock with each other?
1:19:30
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, 100%.
1:19:31
[SPEAKER_01]: It's not different.
1:19:32
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, it's different layers, because you know you got some business relationships, and you got some different types of relationships, but
1:19:39
[SPEAKER_01]: Um, you know, we've done a lot of spiritual work together and the studies, things that I naturese for a lot of time together.
1:19:45
[SPEAKER_01]: So I appreciate you coming through, Mr.
1:19:47
[SPEAKER_01]: Anything else that we didn't talk about?
1:19:49
[SPEAKER_01]: We talked about a lot.
1:19:50
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, we can literally have an episode every day with anything Your story is perfect.
1:19:55
[SPEAKER_00]: I love it.
1:19:56
[SPEAKER_01]: Well, you get back.
1:19:57
[SPEAKER_01]: Well, you get back.
1:19:57
[SPEAKER_01]: We might have a weekly joint.
1:19:59
[SPEAKER_00]: It was a really, really conversation.
1:20:01
[SPEAKER_00]: It was running, bro.
1:20:02
[SPEAKER_00]: I got it.
1:20:03
[SPEAKER_00]: I can get real deep in these stories, bro.
1:20:06
[SPEAKER_01]: These lessons, you know, when we turn the cameras off, I do the hair stuff.
1:20:10
[SPEAKER_00]: I got some prison stories, bro.
1:20:13
[SPEAKER_00]: You were locked up?
1:20:14
[SPEAKER_00]: Oh man, oh man.
1:20:15
[SPEAKER_00]: Like I said, extortion is a serious thing.
1:20:17
[SPEAKER_00]: Tell me.
1:20:18
[SPEAKER_00]: Oh yeah, like I said, we're going to talk about it later, bro.
1:20:22
[SPEAKER_01]: What country was it?
1:20:23
[SPEAKER_00]: It was in three different countries.
1:20:25
[SPEAKER_01]: You've been locked up in three different countries?
1:20:27
[SPEAKER_00]: Me, people I know, like I have to bail people out, crazy situation.
1:20:31
[SPEAKER_00]: I've been locked up, I got locked up here.
1:20:34
[SPEAKER_00]: The day before Passover, I got a bunch of stories, bro.
1:20:40
[SPEAKER_00]: I got bunch of stories, bro.
1:20:42
[SPEAKER_00]: Wow.
1:20:43
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, business stories.
1:20:48
[SPEAKER_00]: just life.
1:20:51
[SPEAKER_00]: Anything that can go wrong or somebody's life.
1:20:53
[SPEAKER_00]: I can speak to you.
1:20:53
[SPEAKER_00]: You just can't tell from me because I embrace it in a different way.
1:20:57
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
1:20:58
[SPEAKER_00]: I accept it.
1:20:58
[SPEAKER_00]: I'm like, oh, this is interesting.
1:21:00
[SPEAKER_00]: And I'm like, what's God's will?
1:21:02
[SPEAKER_00]: And I navigate it in the healthy manner.
1:21:04
[SPEAKER_00]: And what's crazy is everybody has a crazy story.
1:21:06
[SPEAKER_00]: It's just, they just allow us to traumatize them.
1:21:09
[SPEAKER_00]: So yeah.
1:21:10
[SPEAKER_01]: for sure, I appreciate you my brother, make sure y'all follow him on Instagram, see y'all Maddie J. Yeah, man leave it leave us with a word of wisdom before we wrap up like I said the most important skill trade that most people don't talk about is two things
1:21:31
[SPEAKER_00]: Smiling and greeting first.
1:21:33
[SPEAKER_00]: That's probably the most effective play that I use when I go out and meet people.
1:21:38
[SPEAKER_00]: It's for me to be approachable, a smile.
1:21:41
[SPEAKER_00]: And for me to make sure that approach starts in to a ice breaker is a compliment them, and I introduce myself.
1:21:51
[SPEAKER_00]: A lot of people, they meet somebody in the elevator.
1:21:53
[SPEAKER_00]: It is dead silence.
1:21:55
[SPEAKER_00]: Having time to even in your own apartment, for sure.
1:22:00
[SPEAKER_00]: It's just a way to put that door on me.
1:22:03
[SPEAKER_00]: That's the perfect opportunity to say, hey, man, I live on a part of me 14 B. I do this in this.
1:22:11
[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, I do this in this.
1:22:13
[SPEAKER_00]: And now you are creating a real community.
1:22:17
[SPEAKER_00]: Imagine, you know, many people live in a part of building don't know who their next door neighbor is?
1:22:21
[SPEAKER_00]: That's just crazy.
1:22:23
[SPEAKER_00]: And that's why people wonder why they're not in a financial position or the business position that they could be in, because they're not squeezing the juice out of the opportunities that are already in their closest proximity.
1:22:34
