- 0:02Now you don't say this. We've been talking about the
- 0:04idea of doing this for to the fullest term is called Hassi.
- 0:11So most recently we dealt with Hassi Mira Shamaya.
- 0:13Mira shamaya meant overall recognizing that God's evolved
- 0:17in every single area and that creates a fear of God.
- 0:20He gave us three steps for that and that was, if I remember
- 0:23correctly, one was to recognize how unbelievably powerful Hashem
- 0:27is, and then a part of it also was to realize how awesome my
- 0:31sham is and which is very similar.
- 0:33And the third one is in comparison, how small we are.
- 0:36And we explain how you out Jemayim is really it should be
- 0:40first on our list, but really we're more fearful and conscious
- 0:42of what people think naturally, that's how it is than we are of
- 0:46what God thinks. And it should be the other way
- 0:47around. That's how it is, right?
- 0:50The camera says that when students came in to visit a
- 0:53certain rabbi and they asked the rabbi for a blessing empty
- 0:55before he passed away. He said I bless you that you
- 0:58should be as fearful of Hashem as you are a people.
- 1:03And then he said that's the blessing you're going to give
- 1:05us. That's it.
- 1:07And he said, I wish this is comes true.
- 1:09In other words, it's very difficult to actually applied to
- 1:12be so conscious of God like you are a people.
- 1:15That's the way with life is fine.
- 1:17We discussed this at length. Now you have.
- 1:19Why? Why is?
- 1:20Why is that? Because right, people really
- 1:23start to fear God, God forbid when things are going South,
- 1:25right, right. That's when you start to
- 1:27reflect. But the person that provides
- 1:30like what is the brain work like that?
- 1:32The person that is the source of everything good in your life
- 1:36doesn't get that type of respect.
- 1:39I guess we take things for. Granted, the one I mean God is
- 1:41always here. They're very simple is because
- 1:43the first reason he gives because God doesn't seem like
- 1:46he's in the room. So if I if you're going to look
- 1:48at me funny, All right, let's say that's that's it turns out I
- 1:51have AI don't know what I have a stain on my Jack and you're
- 1:54looking at my stain the whole time and I realize that.
- 1:56So I get embarrassed, right. So that feels much more real.
- 2:01And the fact that maybe I has Shem said is I said something
- 2:03long yesterday, right. One is right here, it's present,
- 2:06it's real, and the other one feels distant, abstract and hard
- 2:10to see. And because of that, for
- 2:12whatever reason, we are much more in the moment now.
- 2:15We are in the distance. That's just the way mine works,
- 2:18even though I shouldn't have got a million more time of power
- 2:21then whatever's in front of us. Take for example, what's going
- 2:25on in the politics, right? People are nervous, people are
- 2:29scared, people can't sleep. I've met a multiple hysterical
- 2:33woman in the last few weeks, multiple who have said things
- 2:36are like, oh, I'm moving here, I'm moving there.
- 2:38Way moving Exactly. I'm exactly the the golden
- 2:41place. I don't know where it is right
- 2:42until something happens over there too, but it's hysteria.
- 2:45And you say to yourself, and I'll be the same way.
- 2:48Yarat shamayim should be much more prevalent than yarat some
- 2:53person who has limited control. And the reality is it's front
- 2:57and center. It's in our minds, it's what we
- 3:00see, and it scares us. Fear of heaven is much more
- 3:04distant and that's why it takes work to make Hashem in your
- 3:08life, to bring Him in front of your face, to recognize he did
- 3:12this, He did that, He did the other thing, and then he
- 3:16realized how much he's here. And then your fear becomes a bit
- 3:19more about God than a little less about people.
- 3:21If we ever get to the point that it's equal, we'll literally got
- 3:25to adore for a person to really see God in the same state as
- 3:30they see people. Those are the most Hashu people
- 3:33in the world. And I'm talking about, I don't
- 3:35want to say a handful. There's maybe a hand.
- 3:37It's it's a very difficult thing to attain.
- 3:40Our job is to get to some level, to think about Hashem somewhat
- 3:44and to have a degree of fear of Hashem, to watch what we say, to
- 3:47watch what we see, to watch what we think, all because God is in
- 3:50the back of our mind. That's the idea, is it?
- 3:52Is it? More the handful?
- 3:55Is it more in the Jose Bischewaba people or is it?
- 3:57You see it No, because whether the tribe people have an
- 4:00interesting mix, they have a lot of God in their mind, but
- 4:03there's a lot of other things that are bringing into
- 4:05Tishewell. It's in the very, from what I've
- 4:07seen, it's in the very genuine people who worked on themselves
- 4:12the entire life. And the reality is you don't get
- 4:14to that level unless you're constantly working in yourself.
- 4:17Everything in life requires a lot of levels of musar.
- 4:20The most Hashu people that I know work on themselves
- 4:24constantly, and they're very real people.
- 4:26Real means they really sit and think about their thoughts and
- 4:30think about what bothers them and think about what they're
- 4:32working on. And they developed themselves
- 4:34slowly to a point. They get angry less, they get
- 4:36insulted less. Yeah, less busy.
- 4:38We'll come up with all those things that we want to get to.
- 4:40It's a lifetime of work. And they got.
- 4:43And the reality is, you know what your mind is, what you want
- 4:45to be, you want to be in that world.
- 4:46You don't want to be busy with what so and so things and what's
- 4:49those things and what people are going to say.
- 4:51You don't want the detail you like.
- 4:52Because as much as we are busy with that, that's how shallow we
- 4:57are. It's reality.
- 4:59As much as we are busy with other people have to say which
- 5:01everyone is to a degree that dictates how shallow and
- 5:06conscious to how real you are. The more you're out your mind up
- 5:08against the more you're out Adam is the more real genuine you can
- 5:13become and that's how we'll go again.
- 5:14These things are layers and layers and layers.
- 5:17A lifetime of worked where at 1:20 you want to say that I got
- 5:20there. I was able to overcome kavod.
- 5:24I was able to overcome caring what people have to say.
- 5:27This is a lifetime work reality for many reasons.
- 5:31Now let's see about kavod, not Kavod, the people, the kavod of
- 5:34Hashem. This is 362.
- 5:36Now for a little bit, Hine second line of Hine kavota
- 5:42mitzvahikada. Another area where a person
- 5:45wants to be very good and dedicated is to do mitzvot with
- 5:50kavar, which means to do them in the full way, and that is to
- 5:57take any mitzvah. It could be a mitzvah of vulav
- 6:00ET dog suka could be mitzvah of to feel in.
- 6:04It could be learning to be praying, whatever the mitzvah
- 6:07may be and do it in. There are 1,000,000 levels.
- 6:13Do it at the best level he can do.
- 6:15That's a couple of the mitzvah. That's another area where a
- 6:18person wants to be very good at. We just discussed Yidad
- 6:22Shahmaya, very difficult. We want to work at that, and I
- 6:25discussed couple with Shamaya and couple with Shamaya,
- 6:29interestingly enough, is this, how well do you do in mitzvah,
- 6:33For example, you're building a shoe.
- 6:36How nice do you beautify the inside of a shoe?
- 6:39I'm talking about how big you make.
- 6:41How nice do you beautify the inside a shoe?
- 6:43How pretty is the hijal? You're making a set with
- 6:47dedicating A savitra. How nice does a case look?
- 6:51And you say, why is that important?
- 6:52That's Kabul tamitzvah. You're adorning, in a sense,
- 6:56God's existence, if you can say that, and that's what you're
- 6:59doing all right. So so that you should do it like
- 7:03that if that's your intent. Oh for sure, this is not for
- 7:06others. This is again of that real area
- 7:09that a person can easiest looking for building among the
- 7:12shoe, just so you get covered, build something crazy, you know,
- 7:16some gold. Just so people talk about that.
- 7:19All the other things keep those ideas outside of the turtle.
- 7:22Those are not turtle ideas I'm talking about.
- 7:26Again, you're talking about a pure thought.
- 7:28Someone is a genuine person, someone who's guided properly.
- 7:34Again, this is another area maybe hitting a literally a
- 7:37hitting a rough spot. This is another area that can be
- 7:40misconstrued, misunderstood, misapplied, and we've seen it
- 7:45throughout the drift world where people have misunderstood this
- 7:48concept. I'm talking about a guy who
- 7:50maybe this is an extreme, but a guy who's living on a very small
- 7:54*** check and he decides to dedicate a lot of money to that
- 7:58throat. He's not doing that for cavort
- 7:59because people don't know how much you pay.
- 8:01If he tells people like I did, I can't take that out the window.
- 8:04But if he doesn't tell people, right, So why is he doing that?
- 8:08He likes me. It's what he wants his kids to
- 8:10see how much he cares about. It's what that's special.
- 8:13Someone who goes ahead and builds the biggest, craziest,
- 8:17you know, and you got to make sure the guys get the right
- 8:21Cavanaugh. Otherwise, I don't know.
- 8:23That's not this Kavod Shamim is really beautify A mitzvah.
- 8:29And again, it's got to be about Hashem.
- 8:30It's not about me. Why?
- 8:32Why are you mentioning the examples that are considered
- 8:35misguided? Because those examples end up
- 8:37becoming another angle to beautify my cover.
- 8:41And that's again, the something we want to avoid because you
- 8:44always say this, it all comes back to people's cover.
- 8:47And a person has to avoid allowing these avenues.
- 8:52You know, if the guy's a, let's say, a nasty guy, but he spends
- 8:55a lot of money on his talit, something wrong, right?
- 8:58The guy is a difficult person and he's all busy with how what
- 9:04kind of Sofia he got to write his selfie toda.
- 9:07Again, something's not right there.
- 9:10Kavod mitzvot means he's a good person who wants to do more for
- 9:15Hashem and his Ave. To beautify something for Hashem
- 9:19is to take God's mitzvot and to build them up.
- 9:21That's the reason to be so real with yourself.
- 9:23That's the hard thing, which is hard to be right.
- 9:26You're really looking in the. Mirror and.
- 9:29Yeah, yeah, yeah. He's in Montana.
- 9:31He's in Montana. And when he's doing everything
- 9:33is about your approach and how real you are.
- 9:36And again, being that we live in a world that is popularity
- 9:40driven, being that we live in a world that's publicity, meaning
- 9:43that people get destroyed by disrespect, it makes these
- 9:48things much more difficult. And that's you have to be much
- 9:50more real. So if you're donating a favorite
- 9:52to that and you're donating it to a place and no one knows,
- 9:56right? And you're doing it because
- 9:58otherwise they don't have to a beautiful thing.
- 10:01And that's real, right? If you are, I don't know,
- 10:05something like that, you're building in a place that
- 10:08otherwise will not be able to build a If you're buying a
- 10:11toilet and you decide you know what the answer is, person
- 10:13making a class. Do you want the one that was
- 10:17spun by someone else or religious with you on the one
- 10:19that was spun by the guy who's I went to the McVeigh yesterday.
- 10:23Can you choose the guy? I went to McVeigh and no one's
- 10:25going to know about that. You just don't have your own
- 10:27sake. It's a beautiful thing that is
- 10:29real, but once there's publicity involved is when you have to
- 10:33decide why am I doing this? And it's possible it doesn't
- 10:37have anything to do with our shin and then it takes away the
- 10:40whole beauty. Let's read the silence of it.
- 10:43He says the Basuka ZE Levan veil.
- 10:45ZE Levan veil means this is my guard and I want to beautify him
- 10:49and he can't beautify the guard. You can't beautify his miss.
- 10:52What? It's not hell if I know from
- 10:54it's what? I'm going to beautify his miss.
- 10:55What? See.
- 10:56See. Nah, Nah to feline.
- 11:00Nah, right? You give him a choice.
- 11:02Your son's going to vomit. You give me a choice.
- 11:04Do you get the basic one or do you get the better one?
- 11:08You want to do this, probably. You get the better one, but you
- 11:10don't tell everyone about it, right?
- 11:14You're making a separate identicating 1.
- 11:15You want to get the basic one. Generic 1.
- 11:18You can only afford the basic. You do the basic one for sure.
- 11:22You do what you can do. But if you can do more and you
- 11:24do more, and you don't make it about you, you make it about the
- 11:32beautiful thing. You have a choice.
- 11:37Let's say you have the basic 1 is worth.
- 11:39Let's say a total, right? I don't know the price of total
- 11:41today. Let's say $20,000.
- 11:43OK, am I off? Not the case.
- 11:45Forget the. Case 33. 33 OK 34,000 Now you
- 11:50have an option of upgrading. How far should you upgrade?
- 11:55You should upgrade up until the value of a third of your money
- 12:00or a third of the total. So you can go up a big number.
- 12:03You can go up to let's say that's what I example 45 total
- 12:07different price right and you could spend if you decide to
- 12:16spend even more, you can assume that is going to give you the
- 12:20money for the point being a person should beautify my sorts.
- 12:25He's going to bring now many sources.
- 12:29Dots have talked to him is talking about this constantly.
- 12:34Shen daiba Soto mitzvah levada. It's not enough to do the
- 12:39generic mitzvah. You would never take the generic
- 12:42pill. It's not enough to do the
- 12:44generic mitzvah. It's better to respect it and to
- 12:49glorify it. All right?
- 12:51And to get out of the mindset which says let me just do the
- 12:54basics. Let me get away with it.
- 12:56More than that, we'll do more. An idea of idur mitzvah is to do
- 13:00more. That's what he tells you right?
- 13:02Well, that seem in me Sheikh Kale a lot more.
- 13:06You take yourself out of their minds that what he says Rabbi,
- 13:10is it good? Did I do the job?
- 13:11That's not enough. Say more.
- 13:13I want to do more. I should be honest.
- 13:16But again, it's got to come over your place.
- 13:19If it's coming from publicity place, we say, oh wow, look what
- 13:23he did. You see she's so and so you see
- 13:26how so and so unbelievable because I'm doing so well.
- 13:29Da da da. I'll see you later.
- 13:30That's not what I want to do, right?
- 13:32That's the mindset. Oh no.
- 13:36What what about go to the to the love guy, right?
- 13:41And they kind of sketch you a little bit to how great The
- 13:44thing is. So you're paying more for
- 13:46something you shouldn't be paying more, but if your intent
- 13:48is good. Do you this and Yan perfect this
- 13:52and Yan, you dictated that occasional as well.
- 13:54Again, well, these concepts, the main point is the outcome and
- 13:57the outcome is that you're showing more love and mitzvah,
- 14:02you're showing that you want to spend more on this and something
- 14:04else. You showing yourself, showing
- 14:06your wife, showing your kids, because what we care about, and
- 14:09that is the outcome. If it so happens to be you spend
- 14:12a lot of money on your love and it turns out that you got
- 14:15sketched, you still showed showed just the same.
- 14:21No, not for you totally for you right to build you.
- 14:25It is all building you and developing you.
- 14:27Specifically in these areas you got Shamayam and Kapoor
- 14:30Shamayam. These are areas where you are
- 14:32meant to display through these avenues more of a respect of
- 14:36God, more of a care to glorify God.
- 14:39All these things like a person decides I want the shul to look
- 14:42nice to my house or the Gemara that says the the highest
- 14:45building in town should be a shul or the idea that someone
- 14:48says I don't know these type of concepts.
- 14:50Someone said they want to spend a lot of money for my money on
- 14:54the mitzvah. All my feeling that I spend on
- 14:57them as Rizal that I have, that's when I put the money in
- 15:00these type of concepts of all concepts we are showing.
- 15:03This is what matters to me and that's therefore take me to
- 15:06matters. Other things, I'll give you an
- 15:07example and make you make you feel a little better is tuition.
- 15:10In a sense people hate the tuition concepts, right?
- 15:13We all do. No one likes tuition, but at
- 15:15least you can feel comfortable by the fact, listen, you spend
- 15:18money on a lot of things, right? You spend loads of money on a
- 15:21lot of things. At least this is a mitzvah, and
- 15:24it's a very important mitzvah. One of our biggest
- 15:26responsibilities out there is to teach our children.
- 15:29So I'm not saying the school has the right to create these
- 15:32numbers. I'm not showing it makes any
- 15:33sense. At least you can know you're
- 15:36showing what you do with ease. You're showing this is what I
- 15:38appreciate is what I value stop is.
