Transcript
- 0:00SPEAKER_01: Welcome to Racer Zodds.
- 0:01SPEAKER_01: I'm David Stiles.
- 0:02SPEAKER_01: He's Andrew Curlin.
- 0:03SPEAKER_01: Chase Briscoe makes it back-to-back victories in the middle of the chase.
- 0:08SPEAKER_01: And now he has a ton of momentum as we head into Phoenix Raceway for the Freeway Insurance 500.
- 0:16SPEAKER_01: And, you know, I didn't do so well last week.
- 0:18SPEAKER_01: Two for five on bets, but hey, we're still up on the money.
- 0:20SPEAKER_01: So the units are rolling.
- 0:22SPEAKER_01: Pick'em.
- 0:23SPEAKER_01: We had a good day with Pick'em.
- 0:24SPEAKER_01: Everything's going in the right direction, and we're getting down toward the ends of the end of the season.
- 0:29SPEAKER_01: So let's see what we can make happen here in the last four weeks.
- 0:32SPEAKER_01: Andrew, we both were in turns one and two over the weekend at Charlotte.
- 0:35SPEAKER_01: I thought it was a good weekend of racing here at America's Home for Racing.
- 0:39SPEAKER_00: Yeah, it was uh it was a busy weekend of racing too.
- 0:42SPEAKER_00: David, you got to avoid the rain.
- 0:44SPEAKER_00: Um and my voice, if you can tell, is still a little bit hoarse as we record this later on in the week.
- 0:51SPEAKER_00: But um 700 miles of broadcasting was a lot.
- 0:55SPEAKER_00: And and David, as you know, from that turn position, you gotta yell over the cars for everyone to hear you.
- 1:02SPEAKER_00: Plus, if it's exciting, you want to yell over it because you want your excitement to resonate on the air.
- 1:08SPEAKER_00: So I woke up on Monday morning with not much of a voice.
- 1:12SPEAKER_00: Um, but that's a good thing.
- 1:13SPEAKER_00: You know, this was our last race of the season, you gotta go and give it all you got.
- 1:18SPEAKER_01: So well, selfishly when Bowman crashed and took out Wallace, I was like, man, why couldn't I get one of those in the truck race Friday?
- 1:26SPEAKER_01: But it just didn't happen.
- 1:27SPEAKER_01: All of mine were either they smashed into the wall and turned one or they smashed into the wall down the back straightaway where I couldn't really see them.
- 1:34SPEAKER_01: So but it was a good weekend, and and I thought it was a very compelling set of races.
- 1:39SPEAKER_01: We got the second closest finish in the Cup Series race in Charlotte Motor Speedway history as Chase Briscoe was able to hold off Christopher Bell and win by 0.029 seconds.
- 1:52SPEAKER_01: Just absolutely thrilling finish.
- 1:54SPEAKER_01: And I think Chase Briscoe's lining himself up to make a championship push here at the end of the season, but it may be a little bit too little too late at this point as Kyle Larson still dominating the points.
- 2:06SPEAKER_01: He's up 49 points over Denny Hamlin, who's in second place.
- 2:11SPEAKER_00: All right, so Briscoe is 65 back, right?
- 2:15SPEAKER_01: Correct.
- 2:16SPEAKER_00: All right, so you got four races left.
- 2:18SPEAKER_00: If you can make up 20 points a race, two four six, you could be tied-ish with Larson going into homestead.
- 2:26SPEAKER_00: That's assuming Larson also runs well, too.
- 2:29SPEAKER_00: So that's that's the argument I think I can make for Chase Briscoe still being a player.
- 2:34SPEAKER_00: I've been riding the Chase Briscoe wave since maybe Gateway.
- 2:39SPEAKER_00: Um, and you know, when we were looking at who is in and who is out on fast talk after two or three races, I'm like, guys, Briscoe can go on a run and be right back in this thing.
- 2:49SPEAKER_00: Winning means so much, and he's gone on and he's won two of the three intermediate races, uh, ran really well at the race he didn't win at Kansas.
- 3:00SPEAKER_00: Um, but this is kind of like the end of a certain chapter in the chase, and that's kind of how I'm looking at it, because we had three very similar racetracks all in a row and saw three similar outcomes happen in all of them.
- 3:17SPEAKER_00: The guys that ran well in all three of them, yeah, it made sense because they were good all throughout.
- 3:22SPEAKER_00: I mean, this was the Austin Sindrick run, this is the Chase Briscoe run.
- 3:26SPEAKER_00: Now we've got four races left and some unique tracks.
- 3:30SPEAKER_00: We've got Phoenix, which is like a one-mile D-shaped short track oval.
- 3:35SPEAKER_00: We go to a super speedway in Talladega, we go to a short track in Martinsville, we go to an intermediate track to finish it off.
- 3:42SPEAKER_00: That's four different racetracks.
- 3:44SPEAKER_00: This, I mean, obviously, this is gonna be the championship is one or loss because this is the end of the season, but it's a very wide variety of racetracks that we're going to, and ultimately you have to be good at all of them.
- 3:57SPEAKER_00: And as we preview Phoenix here, David, I think there's a few drivers that um I think are high up in the point standings that will keep the momentum rolling this weekend.
- 4:06SPEAKER_01: Currently, the line of demarcation for me is if you're behind Joey Logano, so Reddick is currently in seventh place.
- 4:13SPEAKER_01: He's 114 points out of the lead.
- 4:17SPEAKER_01: Logano is 92 points back from our leader.
- 4:21SPEAKER_01: I think that is where the line of demarcation is, if if in my book, if you still have a chance.
- 4:26SPEAKER_01: So I know I've been riding Logano all year long.
- 4:29SPEAKER_01: It's an even number year.
- 4:31SPEAKER_01: I'm going to invoke some even number year math into this.
- 4:34SPEAKER_01: And we're just going to continue to ride this horse until we can anymore.
- 4:38SPEAKER_01: I like Logano to win this week.
- 4:40SPEAKER_01: I don't call winners very often.
- 4:42SPEAKER_01: I was very close to getting Bell in the winner's circle last week.
- 4:46SPEAKER_01: So we're going to bet it again.
- 4:47SPEAKER_01: We're going to bet Joey Logano to win.
- 4:49SPEAKER_01: It's plus 600.
- 4:50SPEAKER_01: That's on DraftKings and on Caesars.
- 4:52SPEAKER_01: It's a pretty good odd.
- 4:53SPEAKER_01: I think that the Penske team, they're very, very good here.
- 4:56SPEAKER_01: Ryan Blaney's won back-to-back races at this racetrack.
- 5:00SPEAKER_01: But Joey Logano has also won in 2022 and 2024 at this racetrack.
- 5:08SPEAKER_01: And both of the year, both of those years he went on to win the championship.
- 5:12SPEAKER_01: Well, that was the championship race.
- 5:13SPEAKER_01: It was the championship race.
- 5:15SPEAKER_01: But Logano has also won the seventh chase race three times before.
- 5:22SPEAKER_01: And this is the seventh chase race.
- 5:24SPEAKER_01: He's won one of them at Martinsville, two of them at Las Vegas.
- 5:28SPEAKER_01: I think this race hinges a lot on what we'll see.
- 5:30SPEAKER_01: I know that it was in the old playoff format where if you win and you're in, then you can take a couple of races off.
- 5:36SPEAKER_01: I think this one hinges up and lines up for him perfectly.
- 5:39SPEAKER_01: He's still within striking distance.
- 5:40SPEAKER_01: He's got to make up a lot more ground than his other competitors do, but he's been running very consistent all chase long.
- 5:47SPEAKER_01: So I like Logano right here.
- 5:49SPEAKER_01: I think this will be our last opportunity to really bet him.
- 5:52SPEAKER_01: And if it doesn't happen this week, I think it's going to be locked up with a couple of other guys, and that bet will no longer be viable.
- 6:00SPEAKER_00: So I'm going to ride it for one more week.
- 6:02SPEAKER_00: All right, David, here's some numbers for you.
- 6:04SPEAKER_00: Even your Logano is going to try to win once again lucky race number seven.
- 6:11SPEAKER_00: There's four races to go as Joey's going for his fourth championship.
- 6:17unknown: That's it.
- 6:18SPEAKER_00: You're in a numerology.
- 6:19SPEAKER_00: That's your numerology case for right there.
- 6:21SPEAKER_01: There you go.
- 6:22SPEAKER_01: So that's what we've got.
- 6:23SPEAKER_01: And uh since we're on that Logano train, I'll go ahead and give two more bets because he's within all of these.
- 6:29SPEAKER_01: I think Ford wins this weekend.
- 6:31SPEAKER_01: They're plus 180.
- 6:32SPEAKER_01: You can find that across some different books.
- 6:34SPEAKER_01: I like them to get a victory.
- 6:36SPEAKER_01: Also, Logano versus Hamlin.
- 6:39SPEAKER_01: Logano's minus 110, Hamlin is minus 120.
- 6:43SPEAKER_01: I'm gonna I'm gonna fade Logano again.
- 6:45SPEAKER_01: So I'm very heavy on the 22 team this weekend.
- 6:48SPEAKER_01: Fade Logano?
- 6:50SPEAKER_01: No, I'm gonna I'm gonna bet Logano.
- 6:51SPEAKER_01: I'm gonna fade Hamlin is what I meant.
- 6:53SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 6:54SPEAKER_01: So I'm very heavy on Logano this weekend to win plus 600, Ford to win plus 180, and then Logano over Hamlin at minus 110.
- 7:02SPEAKER_01: So um all three of those bets kind of line up together, and that's just that's just what I feel.
- 7:07SPEAKER_01: That's what I said on Fast Talk earlier in the week.
- 7:09SPEAKER_01: They asked me who who do you think the winner will be, and I said Logano just kind of snap reaction, and so I'm gonna stay with it, stick to my guns and and really see what happens here.
- 7:17SPEAKER_01: Larson, Blaney, Bell, Elliott, Briscoe, they're all really good at this track, so this is gonna be a very hard feat for Joey Logano to pull off, but that's just where that's where my heart is, and so I'm gonna ride it for one more final time and we'll see what happens after this.
- 7:32SPEAKER_00: Well, David, I'm doing the math, and uh I got bad news.
- 7:37SPEAKER_00: I got bad news for the competition, and that is Kyle Larson is very good at Phoenix.
- 7:43SPEAKER_00: He's going for his fifth straight top five at this racetrack.
- 7:47SPEAKER_00: I had to look back at his racing reference just to confirm that.
- 7:50SPEAKER_00: He also has the series' best average finish, including a win at this racetrack.
- 7:56SPEAKER_00: Where can we catch a break from Kyle Larson just being good?
- 7:59SPEAKER_00: Because I'm like, uh before looking at the numbers, really, I'm thinking, all right, Phoenix is gonna be the weekend for someone else to shine through, and maybe that still will be the case.
- 8:10SPEAKER_00: But Larson's stats at this dang racetrack are still so good.
- 8:15SPEAKER_00: I think you said it, someone else is gonna have to step up.
- 8:18SPEAKER_00: We saw the Chase Briscoe run.
- 8:20SPEAKER_00: Is this time for Ryan Blaney to put his hat back into the ring?
- 8:25SPEAKER_00: Is this time for someone finally to dethrone Denny Hamlin as a second place runner?
- 8:31SPEAKER_00: And Phoenix back when it wasn't the championship race, it was this the second to last race, was oftentimes, strangely enough, kind of the championship decider.
- 8:44SPEAKER_00: Someone would have an issue, someone would have a problem, it would kind of set the course for homestead the next weekend.
- 8:50SPEAKER_00: I know it's a little bit earlier this year uh in in the postseason uh schedule in terms of the chase, but I still think we could expect somewhat of a wild card this weekend.
- 9:01SPEAKER_00: But I like Larson, and honestly, his odds to win are plus 750.
- 9:07SPEAKER_00: I feel like that's not terrible for someone who has run really well here, at least for a top three finish plus 200, you could you could feel good about something like that.
- 9:20SPEAKER_00: Um I don't know.
- 9:22SPEAKER_00: I I like the the train that Kyle Larson is on.
- 9:26SPEAKER_00: Um you said it, Ryan Blaney, I think to me, is the guy that everyone's gonna be chasing this weekend.
- 9:32SPEAKER_00: He's he's the strongest Penske car on any given week, in my opinion.
- 9:36SPEAKER_00: And I mean you think of Phoenix, you think of Ryan Blaney, and you think of uh the domination that Penske's had at this racetrack, specifically in the postseason.
- 9:48SPEAKER_00: This is you know this is one they've got circled on their list.
- 9:50SPEAKER_00: Blaney's got two wins, um, third best average finish, and I'm trying to see who has the second best average finish.
- 9:57SPEAKER_00: Take a guess.
- 9:58SPEAKER_00: It's Denny Hamlin at this racetrack.
- 10:00SPEAKER_00: So this racetrack still plays to the favorites, but maybe we'll get a wild card.
- 10:04SPEAKER_00: I know that was a long ramble and rant there, but um those are my thoughts.
- 10:10SPEAKER_01: Yeah, I like it.
- 10:11SPEAKER_01: And you know, Blaney's got the best driver rating.
- 10:13SPEAKER_01: I don't, you know, for whatever that's worth, it's like 101.9.
- 10:17SPEAKER_01: And the last time we were here, he passed everyone, I feel like, twice because he had to, because of their pit road struggles, and he still ended up winning the race.
- 10:26SPEAKER_01: So that that's where I'm getting a lot of my ammunition.
- 10:29SPEAKER_01: Um, and Blaney, he's had good finishes since his kerfuffle at Bristol with Carson Hosevar.
- 10:36SPEAKER_01: He just hasn't been able to make up the ground.
- 10:38SPEAKER_01: I mean, listen to these finishes Kansas a fifth, Vegas a fifth, Charlotte a third, and he's still in fifth place, and he has not made up any ground to the leader, leaving Charlotte.
- 10:50SPEAKER_01: We only had two drivers gain ground on the leader, and that was Christopher Bell and Chase Briscoe.
- 10:56SPEAKER_01: Bell gained four points, and Briscoe gained 19 points.
- 10:59SPEAKER_01: So Larson has been on a historic tear.
- 11:03SPEAKER_01: He's got an average finish of 2.83 over the past six races.
- 11:07SPEAKER_01: And you said earlier that this chase, we were looking at these three races back to back to kind of be the breaking point or where the championship will be won.
- 11:17SPEAKER_01: And Chase Brisco won two out of the three races, Larson's finishes.
- 11:21SPEAKER_01: He won the other one, second place at Vegas and a sixth place at Charlotte.
- 11:25SPEAKER_01: So he he could have won it right here in this three race stretch, but we've got four races left, and I'm like you.
- 11:32SPEAKER_01: I think Phoenix will be a good barometer of what we will see the rest of the season, and will anyone be able to catch him?
- 11:37SPEAKER_01: I've got two other matchups, and one of them has Larson in it and Briscoe in it.
- 11:42SPEAKER_01: And Briscoe is the underdog at minus 110, Larson at minus 120.
- 11:47SPEAKER_01: I think you have to go against Larson at this one.
- 11:50SPEAKER_01: I know it sounds crazy, but it's at that 50, we're at 50 percentile.
- 11:54SPEAKER_01: It's a flip of the coin.
- 11:55SPEAKER_01: I'm gonna go with Briscoe.
- 11:56SPEAKER_01: He has a ton of momentum right now.
- 11:57SPEAKER_01: I like that bet at minus 110.
- 11:59SPEAKER_01: He's won here before.
- 12:01SPEAKER_01: I know it's against the grain from all the arguments that you were just making, but at some point you feel like he's gonna have a bad race.
- 12:08SPEAKER_01: And will it be this weekend?
- 12:10SPEAKER_01: And I I I don't know, and maybe it will be the weekend after next when we go to Talladega, because he's not historically good at those types of tracks.
- 12:18SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 12:18SPEAKER_00: Here's the way I look at Phoenix, um, and it almost reminds me of the playoff format of the old, but for certain drivers, this is a must-win race.
- 12:31SPEAKER_00: For certain drivers, this is an elimination race.
- 12:34SPEAKER_00: Uh, because I mean, not that we're really talking about Ryan Priest having an amazing comeback, but minus 228 after Phoenix will mathematically eliminate you.
- 12:44SPEAKER_00: So for anyone who liked the old format, there you go.
- 12:46SPEAKER_00: Um, but David, you're talking about Joey Logano, he's 92 back.
- 12:51SPEAKER_00: You talk about Chase Briscoe, 65 back, Blaney's minus 85.
- 12:57SPEAKER_00: Those are all numbers I think you can come back from.
- 13:00SPEAKER_00: I mean, if you win the next four, you're gonna make up 20 plus points guaranteed on everybody, you know, and and you can still control your destiny.
- 13:09SPEAKER_00: Well, that happened probably not, but we've seen crazy things.
- 13:12SPEAKER_00: Tony Stewart went and won five of the ten chase races.
- 13:15SPEAKER_00: Who's to say someone else can't have an amazing run like that?
- 13:18SPEAKER_00: But uh for Logano, minus 92, if you want to be in the hunt, you you gotta not only win, but you gotta dominate this weekend.
- 13:25SPEAKER_00: Same for Ryan Blaney, minus 85, because once you get to Martinsville, where the Penske cards are also historically strong at, um, even Homestead or Talladega, it it might be too late, you know.
- 13:39SPEAKER_00: So this is gonna be a I mean, every race we get closer to the championship is gonna be a turning point race, but this really I think is gonna separate the field even more than the last intermediate stretch of three races did.
- 13:52SPEAKER_01: I agree, and and you you've got to be thinking that you've got to go up there and get some momentum on the leader, but you can't rely on hope to be your strategy and hope that something bad happens to them because it's just not happened in the first six races.
- 14:08SPEAKER_01: So it's just up in the air, I think.
- 14:10SPEAKER_01: We're grasping at straws to see what happens because that's the beauty of sports.
- 14:14SPEAKER_01: We don't know what's going to happen, and so we have to play these races out, and betting is betting.
- 14:19SPEAKER_01: So it's you're gonna win some and you're gonna lose some.
- 14:22SPEAKER_00: Let me ask you this.
- 14:23SPEAKER_00: All right, so Chris Rubel's minus 51.
- 14:26SPEAKER_00: He is only three point two points back of Denny Hamlin for the second spot in points.
- 14:34SPEAKER_00: After the lackluster performance of the 11 team after the intermediates, where we're finally like, okay, this is where they're gonna they're gonna close back in.
- 14:44SPEAKER_00: We only saw Larson expand his lead.
- 14:47SPEAKER_00: Uh is should there be a new favorite for second in points?
- 14:53SPEAKER_00: And this is the way I look at it too.
- 14:55SPEAKER_00: Um if you want to look at this from a betting perspective, Denny Hamlin sitting in second place is plus two twenty to win the championship.
- 15:04SPEAKER_00: Christopher Bell, only a few points behind him in the standings, is plus five fifty to win the championship.
- 15:11SPEAKER_00: Do you put a bet on Bell to win the title now at plus five fifty?
- 15:15SPEAKER_00: Wait for him to overtake Denny in the points and cash out.
- 15:19SPEAKER_00: Because I don't know, the trajectory of the 11 team, I just don't trust it.
- 15:23SPEAKER_00: I I don't look at Denny right now as someone that I trust as the best guy to take down Kyle Larson at this point.
- 15:31SPEAKER_00: I'm sorry, I hate to say it.
- 15:32SPEAKER_00: I'm just like, this is the second chase in a row where we're like it's Denny's year, and sure, he he was a caution away from winning the championship last year, but if you look at how he got there last year, it wasn't being super flashy until late.
- 15:47SPEAKER_00: And so I don't know.
- 15:50SPEAKER_00: And again, they almost they they almost won this race a year ago.
- 15:52SPEAKER_00: They dominated it, but I uh I'm I'm starting to put a little bit more of my faith in, I think, Christopher Bell and maybe Briscoe and Blaney to to really truly be a bigger challenger than Denny.
- 16:04SPEAKER_00: And maybe that's hard.
- 16:05SPEAKER_00: I'd love to I would love to see him prove me wrong.
- 16:08SPEAKER_00: That's just the way I do.
- 16:09SPEAKER_01: I mean, I'm not a big Denny Hamlin, uh apologetic, you know, person.
- 16:14SPEAKER_01: I I I want to see him do well.
- 16:16SPEAKER_01: I think for story-wise, it would be good to see him do well, but I'm not a believer in that he'll win a championship.
- 16:21SPEAKER_01: It's just not a thing, and I don't bet on him to win championships.
- 16:24SPEAKER_01: It's just until there's data there to prove me wrong, I'm just not in the business of doing that.
- 16:30SPEAKER_01: So do I think he has a shot?
- 16:33SPEAKER_01: He's still got a shot.
- 16:34SPEAKER_01: Yes.
- 16:34SPEAKER_01: There's a possibility that he can win a championship right now.
- 16:37SPEAKER_01: Do I believe it with my heart that he can do it?
- 16:40SPEAKER_01: No, because it's Deanny Hamlin and he it he falls apart for some reason when we get down to this part of the year.
- 16:47SPEAKER_01: And so I just cannot in good faith say, yes, put some money on him.
- 16:51SPEAKER_01: I like your idea of betting on Bell at that rate and then cashing out if he gets a little bit better.
- 16:56SPEAKER_01: My question to you is when if you're looking at it right now, what is Logano's championship odds at right now?
- 17:02SPEAKER_01: Is it moved up or moved down?
- 17:04SPEAKER_01: So it's gone down.
- 17:05SPEAKER_01: So, you know, me, I'm stuck with what I have because I got him at a better, you know, a lower rate earlier, and so it's gone the opposite direction.
- 17:14SPEAKER_01: I can't really cash out at this point.
- 17:16SPEAKER_01: So we're just gonna have to hold on to what I have and and see what happens.
- 17:20SPEAKER_01: And sometimes it that's just what you have to do.
- 17:23SPEAKER_00: Um or do you bet uh in the same vein?
- 17:26SPEAKER_00: Do you take Logano again at plus two thousand or Blaney at plus sixteen hundred, expect a dominating day at Phoenix, and take your winnings before Talladega, you know what I mean?
- 17:38SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 17:39SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 17:39SPEAKER_01: I mean, I mean, I lock I'm locked in at it at what, plus eighteen hundred, plus sixteen hundred, somewhere around in there.
- 17:45SPEAKER_01: So at this point, if it moves further up than that, that's when we need to cash out.
- 17:51SPEAKER_01: But it's been back and forth with him all season.
- 17:54SPEAKER_01: And at the point in the year when he started winning races and he, you know, wins Bristol, you're like, we're gonna hold on to it because it it's still viable.
- 18:03SPEAKER_01: Now we're getting down to the portion of the year to where if you need to pull that money out and invest it somewhere else, you may need to start thinking about what that exit strategy is.
- 18:12SPEAKER_00: If you put a dollar on Ryan Priest right now to win the championship, you'll win 500 if he doesn't.
- 18:18SPEAKER_00: He is 50,000.
- 18:19SPEAKER_00: He's plus fifty thousand to win the title.
- 18:22SPEAKER_01: Do not bet that.
- 18:23SPEAKER_01: Do not bet on Ryan Priest.
- 18:25SPEAKER_00: Don't do it.
- 18:26SPEAKER_01: Don't do it.
- 18:26SPEAKER_01: That's a cash out game thing.
- 18:28SPEAKER_01: Don't don't do that.
- 18:29SPEAKER_01: Um that's something that's just kind of where we're at with the futures.
- 18:34SPEAKER_01: Um the last matchup that I have, Elliott versus Bubba Wallace.
- 18:39SPEAKER_01: Chase Elliott runs really well here.
- 18:42SPEAKER_01: Um, he's got a win here in the past.
- 18:44SPEAKER_01: Bubba Wallace has been running very well uh through this chase.
- 18:49SPEAKER_01: He's his worst finish was 37th, which was last week at Charlotte, and that wasn't because of his own doing.
- 18:54SPEAKER_01: He got wrecked out.
- 18:56SPEAKER_01: So this one's a little bit of a toss-up.
- 18:58SPEAKER_01: Um I I feel like I will bet Bubba Wallace in this one against Chase Elliott.
- 19:02SPEAKER_01: Those Hendrick cars have just not shown me enough.
- 19:05SPEAKER_01: I know Elliott has a win here, but I also feel like Bubba Wallace has been fairly consistent over the past seven races.
- 19:13SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 19:14SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I agree.
- 19:16SPEAKER_00: Those are all my thoughts on uh everything Phoenix this weekend.
- 19:20SPEAKER_00: Should we get into pick them?
- 19:21SPEAKER_01: Let's go to pick them.
- 19:22SPEAKER_01: I'm not mathematically eliminated yet.
- 19:24SPEAKER_00: You're not.
- 19:25SPEAKER_00: You are not.
- 19:25SPEAKER_00: Yeah, we just we just crunched the numbers.
- 19:28SPEAKER_00: I have a 197-point lead over David.
- 19:32SPEAKER_00: Um, so I'm I'm quite proud of that.
- 19:35SPEAKER_00: But uh you have some bigger players than I do to finish the season out.
- 19:39SPEAKER_00: So I mean, again, if now's any time to make a good run, I'm gonna be on defense the next four weeks, and you're not.
- 19:47SPEAKER_01: Well, you know, it's just how the cookie crumbles, I guess.
- 19:50SPEAKER_01: I I I strategically picked these drivers this way, and so we've got four really good ones lined up here for the end.
- 19:57SPEAKER_01: We'll just have to see what happens.
- 19:58SPEAKER_00: So I got one point from William Byron and Charlotte.
- 20:02SPEAKER_00: I will go first, and I will pick a former winner here at this racetrack.
- 20:08SPEAKER_00: Hasn't had the best of seasons, had a decent run actually last weekend in Vegas.
- 20:12SPEAKER_00: I feel like we were talking about him towards the end of it.
- 20:14SPEAKER_00: Give me Ross Chastain to win.
- 20:17SPEAKER_01: I like it.
- 20:18SPEAKER_01: I like it.
- 20:18SPEAKER_01: Ross is one of the guys that has won this race, but he didn't win a championship when he won this race in the playoff format.
- 20:25SPEAKER_01: So that's a uh little interesting trivia question there.
- 20:28SPEAKER_01: The other one's Ryan Blaney.
- 20:31SPEAKER_01: He's also won this race and did not win a championship.
- 20:34SPEAKER_01: So uh we're looking out for him.
- 20:36SPEAKER_01: And in that same vein, I had Bell, uh I had Bell last week.
- 20:40SPEAKER_01: He netted me 53 points.
- 20:42SPEAKER_01: We're gonna look for another big point day.
- 20:43SPEAKER_01: Give me the driver of the 12, Ryan Blaney, right here.
- 20:47SPEAKER_01: I've already used Logano, so I I I'll go with the Penske teammate, and I say he makes it back to back to back to back wins at Phoenix.
- 20:54SPEAKER_01: Give me give him four in a row.
- 20:56SPEAKER_00: I think that's quite solid.
- 20:58SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I mean, in the last two races, you've made up over 50 points on me.
- 21:03SPEAKER_00: So um again, at that rate, at that rate, you would pass me.
- 21:09SPEAKER_00: You would catch me.
- 21:10SPEAKER_01: Yeah, we've well, and and the way that it lines up, so after Blaney's pick, just to give a little bit of some insight, I have all of the Hendri I have three of the four Hendrick drivers left.
- 21:21SPEAKER_01: So I have Elliot and Byron and Larson.
- 21:24SPEAKER_00: So and you're gonna pick Byron, Talladega, Elliot Martinsville.
- 21:30SPEAKER_01: Larson at Homestead.
- 21:32SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 21:33SPEAKER_00: Or or Byron at Martinsville.
- 21:35SPEAKER_01: Byron Byron at Martinsville.
- 21:37SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 21:37SPEAKER_00: I know I shouldn't help you, but Elliot did win Martinsville earlier in the year.
- 21:41SPEAKER_00: I would almost swap him because Byron doesn't have the speed he's had.
- 21:45SPEAKER_01: I don't know.
- 21:45SPEAKER_01: I like Elliot at Talladega, man.
- 21:47SPEAKER_01: He runs really good there.
- 21:48SPEAKER_00: I trust you.
- 21:49SPEAKER_00: That's how I really.
- 21:51SPEAKER_01: Well, you know.
- 21:53SPEAKER_01: I have until next week to take it.
- 21:55SPEAKER_01: You know what?
- 21:55SPEAKER_00: I want you to pick Elliott for Talladega because I feel like that will increase my chances.
- 21:59SPEAKER_01: So there you go.
- 22:00SPEAKER_01: There you go.
- 22:02SPEAKER_01: Well, at Racers Odds is about helping you grow that bankroll, injecting some fun into these race weekends, and making sure that you can cash some tickets.
- 22:10SPEAKER_01: Tune in next week.
- 22:11SPEAKER_01: We'll give you all the low down from Phoenix and we'll try our best to short Talladega.
- 22:16SPEAKER_01: It'll be a wild card for sure.
- 22:18SPEAKER_01: For Andrew Curland, I'm David Stiles.
- 22:20SPEAKER_01: We'll talk again next week.
