  I just traveled across the country.

  I lived in Bronzeville about 20 minutes away from the Star base

  facility for about nine months. Everything that I saw from Texas

  all the way to New York. Nothing compared skyscrapers

  cities, everything. Nothing compares to how massive

  and insanely cool. The Starship is.

  The ship is about 165 feet tall, its massive and they want to
• 1:51
  launch this thing on top of a booster with 33 rockets at the
• 1:54
  bottom of it engines at the bottom of it.

  It wrap their two biggest best baddest engines on the planet
• 2:01
  right now, but they want to launch it sometime this year and
• 2:06
  when they launched into space, For our the orbital flight test.
• 2:11
  Starship and booster will separate at some point.
• 2:15
  And at the end of the first orbital flight test, for the
• 2:17
  Starship SpaceX wants to see this thing re-enter the
• 2:22
  atmosphere at speeds near Mach 25 or 19,000 miles per hour.

  Followed by 15 full minutes of hypersonic flight, this thing is
• 2:32
  going to be blazing down. It is going to be protected by
• 2:36
  the heat shields underneath the starship.
• 2:39
  During the time that it comes back in, it's going to be
• 2:41
  hurdling sideways. It's going to be generating
• 2:44
  enormous amounts of heat before. It's going to adjust to an
• 2:48
  upright position and softly land in the ocean.
• 2:54
  And it's going to be landing. 62 miles north of kawaii.

  This is the current plan. They may change this plan in the
• 2:59
  future. It's going to sink, though.

  It's not going to be there forever.
• 3:04
  It's going to sink. And we won't be able to see it.

  Once it does sink, it's going to be in the Navy's Pacific Missile
• 3:11
  Range facility. According to SpaceX in the
• 3:14
  plans, they put out there, it's going to join other warships in
• 3:18
  Davy Jones, Locker, And this is where the Navy does sink
• 3:23
  exercises into the waters, 15,000 feet deep.

  So they're probably never going to see Starship.

  Once it sinks, it's going to be done, it's going to be over with
• 3:34
  this place is designated for these kind of things

  environmentally it sound for these kind of tests in.

  This is where the Navy conducts. Their Missile Range tests out
• 3:44
  there so there's a frigate that was just destroyed out there as
• 3:50
  targeted. Of last year mid August during a
• 3:55
  Naval Strike missile Mission from Kawaii.

  And it was pummeled by Munitions from aircraft and submarines at
• 4:04
  the same time. So this place is used to this
• 4:06
  kind of activity a Starship Landing, they're probably not a
• 4:09
  big deal, you know, probably not a big deal as far as sinking
• 4:13
  ships go. So the star ship will sink.

  So Hawaii's role in the orbital test of the biggest rocket.

  That's ever been built. 394 ft with a super heavy booster and
• 4:27
  Starship upper stage together. And these have been released a
• 4:34
  while ago, due to Space X and the regulatory filings and
• 4:39
  eventually, you know SpaceX will be carrying humans cargo
• 4:44
  anything they want to satellites up into orbit.

  This is the first flight test that they need to pass in order
• 4:51
  to start launching Sterling satellites to orbit because
• 4:54
  that's how they're going to be making money too.

  Continue building Starships of Boca Chica, NASA wants to have a
• 5:03
  WB 57 high altitude research, jet close enough.
• 5:08
  To Starship during the re-entry to gauge the surface temperature
• 5:12
  of the star brick thermal tiles. So they want to check this thing
• 5:16
  out as its flying back in from orbit.

  They want to check the temperatures and they're going
• 5:23
  to figure out what it will take for these things.

  To deflect the heat that's coming in from this and there

  will be fins on a Starship. By the way, there will be
• 5:36
  controlling its flight. All the way down.

  We've seen Starships, land a few times at Boca Chica already down
• 5:43
  at Starbase, so, it'll be using the same sort of flip maneuver
• 5:46
  to do that into the ocean off of kawaii.

  You know, the thermal ablators they're usually used for this

  and these things are pretty cool because the, the heat tiles are
• 5:59
  kind of like a hex pattern, very interesting stuff.

  So, The Stacked rocket Starship and booster would be launching

  from Cameron County Texas. It'll be headed out over the

  Gulf of Mexico when it launches in the super-heavy, booster

  isn't going to make it to Kauai you with the Starship is going
• 9:39
  to be landing in the Gulf of Mexico in the Starship.

  Second stage, like I said, before will be splashing down
• 9:46
  off Kawaii and it's going to be nearly orbiting the entire
• 9:52
  Earth. Not quite a full orbital flight

  test, not full orbit but pretty close Elan even said that just

  recently in a video that was released by The Everyday

  astronaut. So, the fights expected to take

  around 20 or 90 minutes and Starship will re-enter its

  landing approach. It'll do the belly flop and

  over. If you've never seen that look

  up, spacex's Starship flight test, absolutely amazing and

  there's gonna be a sonic boom, that will be created when it
• 10:21
  comes back in. So they're going to be measuring
• 10:24
  the loudness of the sound of Boom as well.

  That's important. Because when Starship, Sonic
• 10:31
  booms over areas where people live, they have to know how loud
• 10:36
  that's going to be and they want to reuse and recover Starships
• 10:42
  in the future and boosters in the future.

  But these two things. They probably won't be getting
• 10:50
  them back. They'll be expending them in the
• 10:54
  ocean and it's going to be happening sometime in the
• 10:58
  future. That will be catching the
• 11:00
  booster and the ship with Mechagodzilla the arms down at
• 11:03
  Boca Chica, but as of right now, that's not going to be
• 11:07
  happening. So getting the permits to do The
• 11:10
  Landings in Texas of the type of thing that the thinking of doing
• 11:14
  with a ballistic reentry, it's going to be pretty complicated
• 11:18
  than getting the kind of permission in a More, you know,
• 11:23
  inviting atmosphere. Like off the coast of kawaii.

  So right away. Orbital flight test is a better
• 11:33
  option for SpaceX to do the testing that they need to do in
• 11:36
  order for them to go forward with future booster and Starship
• 11:40
  testing from Boca Chica, don't catch him on.

  The the catch arms right now because if they catch them on
• 11:46
  the catcher arms and something goes wrong.
• 11:48
  All of stage zero which is one of the most complete complex
• 11:52
  structures in spaceflight history.

  If something happens to that, they have to rebuild the whole

  thing possibly. And that could take years,

  possibly, it could possibly take, six months to couple years

  altogether, I've seen it in person.

  I know how complex it is from the outside.

  It looks like something from Star Wars.

  It looks like the Millennium Falcon like, just wires

  everywhere cables. There's pipes.

  There's man, it is, it is a complex.

  Insanely cool engineering feat. And knowing that if they catch
• 12:28
  this thing just wrong, just a little bit off, that stage, zero
• 12:32
  could be damaged, they have to prove without a shadow of a
• 12:36
  doubt that they can land the booster and the Starship.

  Absolutely perfect. Every single time in the gulf
• 12:44
  and in the ocean, they have to make sure that they can do that
• 12:47
  in order to land on the choppy's, the sticks, the lift
• 12:52
  Terms, that catch arms, whatever you want to call them, you have
• 12:54
  to make sure that that's the thing.

  It's huge. The Starships, huge.

  Think of a skyscraper. Nothing of a skyscraper flying,

  a 40-story, tall skyscraper. Like I said before, I have

  driven past cash a I was in Austin, my first night on my way

  back to New York and the skyscrapers there.

  They had nothing on a Starship. You know?

  It was, it was insane. It was so cool to see a Starship

  in person. So they're going to be doing,

  you know, a couple fights like this probably three, four
• 13:30
  flights like this. Figuring everything out, making
• 13:32
  sure everything works and then possibly if they can get the FAA
• 13:36
  to sign off on it, land a booster in a Starship at the
• 13:40
  Boca Chica testing facility, they can't do it right away.

  That would be, that's too much, you know, it would be easier,
• 13:49
  possibly to land a Starship on a barge.
• 13:55
  Then to get government, you know, approval for the Boca
• 14:01
  Chica facility. So you stick it on a barge,
• 14:04
  right? Get the get the chop sticks out
• 14:07
  there, get a tower, maybe I mean that would be insane as far as
• 14:12
  engineering goes as well, but as far as regulatory goes, I think
• 14:16
  it would be easier for them to be able to land on a barge.

  Like they do with the Falcon 9. So we'll see what happens.
