- 0:08Welcome to Cannabis School. I'm your host, Jesse Angeles.
- 0:11And I'm Brandon Elder. And we're here to talk to you
- 0:14about everything pertaining to cannabis from vape flour.
- 0:18Edibles Strains. And everything in between.
- 0:26Welcome back, kids. Oh, Heidi Ho.
- 0:28And today we are going to be hanging out with.
- 0:33Our bombs? Yeah.
- 0:35Wait a minute. Go down to the go down below
- 0:38you'll find the code for Bomb, the best dab rigs we've ever
- 0:43had. I mean I I love my doctor dabber
- 0:46but I have used this way more in the last handful of months.
- 0:51So if you guys don't know about Bommy rigs, go check it out.
- 0:55Like Jesse said code below, get yourself one of these bad boys.
- 0:59You get full temperature control range from like 225 up to 700.
- 1:05And the cool thing too is I this is by far been the best banger
- 1:10I've ever used. I love them.
- 1:11They're easy to clean and they're just, they hold
- 1:14everything inside really well so you don't lose a bunch because
- 1:18I've had other ones where I could lose some out the top, but
- 1:21Brandon's got the spinner top and I've got the the bean
- 1:24flicker. Yep, flick your bean.
- 1:27I got the spin the bean. I don't know, maybe it's some
- 1:30tongue action. Either way, you're going to get
- 1:32there, but today in our bombs, we have Jaeger.
- 1:36Jaeger. Thankfully it does not taste
- 1:41like dabbing Jaeger because I could imagine that would taste
- 1:44like shit. You don't like Jaeger?
- 1:47No I do but dabbing Jaeger. Oh dude, that black licorice.
- 1:50Taste I love black licorice. Do you guys like black licorice?
- 1:54I feel like it's a very. It's one of the almond flavour.
- 1:58You know what though? But I I Jaeger is a different
- 2:01type of drink. You got to have it real ice cold
- 2:04and it's amazing. You know, it was cool.
- 2:06I was talking and I kept getting more smoke coming out of my
- 2:08mouth. I didn't even see.
- 2:09That. Oh, that's hilarious.
- 2:11Yeah. I never did a lot of Jager on
- 2:13its own. I always did Jager bombs with
- 2:16Red Bull, but I don't drink energy drinks and I don't really
- 2:21drink a lot of Jager anymore. Yeah.
- 2:23And then the cool thing about Jager is that we've had it and
- 2:26other ones too. We've had purple platinum Jager.
- 2:29Weirdly enough, we couldn't find any information on that one, but
- 2:32we did get our hands on Jager and it's in a concentrate.
- 2:35Man I got to tell you this is a great like hybrid sativa leaning
- 2:391 very awake. Very to my face.
- 2:43I don't feel a lot of body relaxation yet, but it's not
- 2:48like. It's a go juice one.
- 2:50I don't feel tightness in my chest, I don't feel a racing
- 2:53heart, I don't feel tightness in my shoulders.
- 2:57This is a very mellow but like. It sits slightly in your upper
- 3:02back, just slightly more of pressure to do this go go I.
- 3:06That's why I call it the go string.
- 3:08Like if you have enough, you're going to be super productive.
- 3:12If you have too much, what's too much?
- 3:14Well for me it was 3 sessions on my banger and then I went into a
- 3:21meeting and it cried my eyes out to no end and I was like I I
- 3:29could fully pay attention but it the side effect was my eyes it
- 3:33wasn't my. Brain, you just got to lean over
- 3:35to your neighbor and go, hey bro, would you spit in my eyes
- 3:37real fast? They're super dry and then get
- 3:40back to it. And then that same note, Brandon
- 3:43just sits there. Then all of a sudden there's
- 3:44like a female staff member next to him and he goes, hey, would
- 3:47you spit into my mouth? And then she just looks at him
- 3:51and he go, oh wait. Well, you think about that dude
- 3:57like it's. Man, damn.
- 4:00Jaeger is such a great strain for the reasons that most people
- 4:04don't. They're not looking for, right.
- 4:07A lot of people don't like, well, no, I'm not going to say a
- 4:10lot of people. There are people that have like
- 4:12this judgement on sativa strains.
- 4:15Oh, no, no, no judgment. Yeah, it's going to make me
- 4:17anxious. Oh no, no, I can't do that.
- 4:21I think it's because they it's still that hey, I only do.
- 4:28Wow. Oh, I'm falling.
- 4:30It's like terpenes don't exist and they're only going off of
- 4:34hey is this indica sativa or hybrid and going Oh well I had a
- 4:37bad experience with one that someone said was sativa and so
- 4:41since then I just don't touch those dude.
- 4:43I'm I'm like that, remember? Baba Kush at the beginning, go
- 4:47check it out. Holy shit.
- 4:49Set him on a a little bit of a unconscious fear of indica
- 4:54dominant strains for a minute. Yeah, it was probably for a good
- 4:57year. Yeah, we didn't.
- 4:58We didn't segue into many indica dominant strains through that
- 5:02first bit after. Which is really sweet because I
- 5:05didn't know that. I just figured that Brandon was
- 5:07like, this is what we're smoking today.
- 5:08I'm like OK. I had a big stash of them set
- 5:12aside for all the Indica dominant ones that I'm like, I
- 5:14haven't, we haven't touched the. But the thing was cool now
- 5:17though, is that you know, once you're able to get past it, and
- 5:20I really feel that understanding terpenes is where your your
- 5:25whole experience with cannabis starts to change.
- 5:29Yeah, and dosing. And like the episode we did with
- 5:36Louise that she talked about how, you know, she was thinking
- 5:40that there was something wrong 'cause she was using so much.
- 5:43And yet she listened to this show and it was like, oh, wait,
- 5:48no, I can be a functioning cannabis consumer out in society
- 5:53and still consume like I am. I don't have to think of myself
- 5:57as this Stoner. Like I'm making six figures a
- 6:00year. I'm being productive.
- 6:01I'm doing all of these things. Not what society has told me a
- 6:05Stoner is, you know. Well, that's The thing, is that,
- 6:14and we've allowed ourselves to get judged by it, I think.
- 6:20Yeah. Like if you had a little bit and
- 6:22you get in the car and you start driving, you get all paranoid
- 6:24thinking. You get pulled over by the cops.
- 6:26Or just in general, like going to the store, you know, like, oh
- 6:30shit, someone's going to know I'm high.
- 6:32Well, why? Why is it that you think that
- 6:35you're acting in some sort of fashion that makes you seem not
- 6:42OK in society? Because you're walking around
- 6:45being silly, smiling and. No one's doing that.
- 6:48Everyone is like stone faced staring at the phone and that.
- 6:51And if you're smiling and happy and talking to people and that
- 6:54they're like, oh shit, what's wrong with this person?
- 6:57Yeah. But the thing it's really funny
- 6:59is that once you start doing that and you guys, I'm sure many
- 7:02of you have felt the same thing and you've had 'cause you had
- 7:04these things happen to you where those who used to go.
- 7:07I could never do that start to ask you questions about it and
- 7:11then they get pulled into it, friends, family, random
- 7:15strangers and it, it is quite interesting.
- 7:18But I find that the thing to tell them about that, that's
- 7:21where I've been and I'm glad that you talked about the terps
- 7:23is that I talk about terpenes now.
- 7:25I don't talk about strains. I don't talk about indica,
- 7:28sativa or hybrid. Those are all afterthoughts.
- 7:32The name is just a great way to say, oh, I felt really good with
- 7:36that. Like a unique strain to Utah,
- 7:40which I feel bad for all of you was Cougar Piss.
- 7:43Yeah. And it is one of the best
- 7:46strains I've ever had. Incredibly pleasant.
- 7:49It was a very good experience. But it does the things that
- 7:52we're talking about. Side effects mean you might talk
- 7:54to strangers or be nice. Right.
- 7:58Like, get out of your head. Oh, my gosh.
- 8:00I so I spent the last few days down in Zion.
- 8:04Yeah. And we went to this this
- 8:08restaurant. Down.
- 8:10In the middle of Zion area, it was called Wild Time, and they
- 8:17have this sign down in there right inside the lobby, and it
- 8:20says we don't have a Wi-Fi password.
- 8:23Pretend it's old times and you actually have to talk to people.
- 8:27It's just like, Oh my God, yeah, that was amazing.
- 8:30I love that. I love that there's no cell
- 8:32service down here. I love that.
- 8:33It's like just in this beautiful Canyon and Emily and I just had
- 8:38dinner outside. There was like vineyards and
- 8:41beautiful grass and trees and mountains.
- 8:44And it was like the most incredible experience.
- 8:47And at once did we think about, oh, shit, we don't have cell
- 8:50service. But it was.
- 8:52And that was random. This is a good string guys.
- 8:55This is, it's introspective and it says it can be Spacey, but I
- 9:00don't know, like I don't feel like a new consumer.
- 9:03Yeah, I could see them feeling Spacey.
- 9:06So it's a slow go low and slow, always low and slow.
- 9:09Do you think that's just because it's different than what they're
- 9:14used to? I was trying to think.
- 9:17That's why people judge into because sativa hybrid, that's it
- 9:19automatically puts them into a place.
- 9:21It's like saying like, oh, this person's from such and such
- 9:23place in the world. What does that mean?
- 9:26Yeah, well, they do these things, so they immediately
- 9:28judge it, right? But then you find out they're
- 9:31like, I don't do those things with.
- 9:32Chocolate. Well, it was like, Mormons,
- 9:35let's go there because, well, we're very familiar with that.
- 9:39Like when I first went out knocking doors in Kentucky with
- 9:43Vivint ages ago, and I still was a Mormon.
- 9:47And they're like, oh, do you have horns?
- 9:50How many wives do you have? I'm like, fuck one.
- 9:52Do you know how? Why would you want more than
- 9:55one? Do you know how hard it is to be
- 9:56like one woman? I wouldn't want to have to deal
- 9:59with more than one person all at the same time.
- 10:01That sounds like way too much stress.
- 10:03Dude, just look in the Bible at the end of Genesis.
- 10:05I mean, there's this guy in there and he wants this one
- 10:08chick and he's the dad's like, yeah, you got to marry the
- 10:11oldest one first. And he's like, and then all of
- 10:13it me, he just has more and more and then his wives can't bear
- 10:16any children. So the woman's like, well then
- 10:19have Moss 7th you know, like a seed inside her.
- 10:22Right. And that was a story.
- 10:25It wasn't a story of saying, hey, this is the way that guy
- 10:28had a horrible life. It was constantly fighting with
- 10:31all these women. And then he's like, I got to get
- 10:32out of here. And he tries to run away.
- 10:35And then the king follows him, says, hey, I'm going to fuck,
- 10:37kill you. You can try and run off with
- 10:38everybody. Like, no, no, no, I'm good.
- 10:40That's a warning. Why would you ever want to do
- 10:42that? Yeah, I don't know.
- 10:43I don't understand the early Mormons.
- 10:45What the fuck is wrong with you? I don't know either, but it's
- 10:48it's that thing of like, hey, you are from this place or you
- 10:51have this certain label or that. So you must think or believe or
- 10:56be this type of person in this type of way.
- 10:59And it's like, man, that's so disconnected from how individual
- 11:04all of us truly are. Do we live around so many
- 11:07Mormons, so many Latter Day Saints, whatever.
- 11:10And they're great people. They're loving.
- 11:13I love those people. I love all.
- 11:15I don't. I don't love a religion or a
- 11:18sect. I love people.
- 11:20I don't care. Where you are, we are.
- 11:22We are both astronauts. We're all astronauts together.
- 11:28Super high. Well, we're high, but we're also
- 11:31on a rock spinning in Infinity. Flying through space, Yeah.
- 11:34Yeah, we're all. Fellow travellers and it's, you
- 11:38know, I'd rather get along with all the other ones.
- 11:40Welcome, astronauts. We're going to be crying over.
- 11:45Here, soon we have a problem. Jesse is high as shit.
- 11:49Yeah, help us land. I'm getting high It's but that's
- 11:53what's cool about like, you know, that's why we always joke
- 11:56around about with people like we convert more people to cannabis
- 11:58than to Christ. And the reason why is that if
- 12:01you want to be closer to that feeling of love, acceptance of
- 12:05non judgmental, like how many conversations have you had with
- 12:08random people that you never would before?
- 12:11So many for cannabis. So oh.
- 12:13Due to cannabis so many but like before I was way more of a judge
- 12:19mental asshole. Well, it wasn't.
- 12:22I don't think you were an asshole.
- 12:23I think it's. Just no but like you.
- 12:24Only knew so much. If I were to look back, I would
- 12:27go, man, I was kind of a judge, mental asshole.
- 12:31Some of the things I said or did or perspectives that I had, it
- 12:35was from ignorance and what I knew at the time.
- 12:38But over time and education and learning and opening my mind to
- 12:42other perspectives and things, I've gone, holy shit, there's
- 12:46way more out there than anything I knew.
- 12:49And so now I feel like I know that much versus before, you
- 12:53know? Yeah, and that's the cool part
- 12:55though, man. It's like, you know, it's not to
- 12:57look at one of right and wrong. It's just different
- 12:59perspectives. And, you know, it's easy to get
- 13:01caught up emotionally with that. But that's where I say, like,
- 13:04cannabis has been such a great conduit to helping us better
- 13:08understand. Like without cannabis, I
- 13:10wouldn't do things right now that I am really enjoying.
- 13:15And I do that because I tell that to other people.
- 13:17Like I had that event at that bar and people kept asking me
- 13:21like, hey, you want to get a drink, You want to drink.
- 13:23And I had an open tab. I get whatever I wanted, but I
- 13:28wouldn't be connected. I believe that alcohol too much
- 13:31in that helps for you to divide. Alcohol is an isolation drug.
- 13:38You want to be by yourself sometimes you want to be around
- 13:41others. But the thing that you commonly
- 13:43fall into is I drank too much and I don't remember.
- 13:47You remember I've been blackout drunk before.
- 13:50The only thing I remember is not wake, not falling asleep.
- 13:53I didn't remember falling asleep, but it's never I did
- 13:56shit and I forgot it. I remember what I did.
- 13:58There's moments of the very first time that I actually got
- 14:03drunk that I don't. I honestly have no idea
- 14:07anything. There's totally that night and
- 14:09I'm like I have no clue but it was.
- 14:13I hadn't really ever drank much and I was sitting outside of a
- 14:17dance with my ex wife's brother. He was going through shit and he
- 14:24had put Soko in a Doctor Pepper bottle for me and I had finished
- 14:31that whole Doctor Pepper bottle and they were just sitting in
- 14:33the car waiting, talking still. And so as I'm sitting there
- 14:39listening to him, like, man, I starting to feel something.
- 14:42It feels nice. And I never drink.
- 14:44I've never drink liquor. I don't know that you don't
- 14:47drink it straight out of the bottle when you don't have any
- 14:52sort of tolerance. And so as I'm waiting there, I
- 14:54keep just drinking off the bottle, straight off the bottle.
- 15:01And we get inside and we're standing in line to get inside
- 15:06and it's 152025 minutes to get inside.
- 15:11I don't remember moments after that.
- 15:15It comes in like flashes. Yeah, your consciousness comes
- 15:19in flashes, like you, you straight up.
- 15:21Like you're on autopilot and you're just so disoriented,
- 15:24like. Like, I don't.
- 15:25Yeah, it's like I remember being at certain points and then
- 15:28everything else between the night, I could not tell you what
- 15:31happened. Yeah, you're just kind of being
- 15:33LED around. Like I don't even remember
- 15:35anything that happened. Dude, I remember I was in the
- 15:39Navy. We went down to Tijuana back
- 15:41when you could just walk across and it was a long time ago,
- 15:44guys. And when it it was back in the
- 15:471900s. But.
- 15:52We walk across, we go. And at that time, Tijuana was
- 15:56very different from today's Tijuana.
- 15:58And so that time it, it, it was, it was, it would be classified
- 16:02as a very scary place for many people.
- 16:05And. When you first went.
- 16:07No, I've been there since I was a kid.
- 16:10But when when I was there in the Navy, it was a different
- 16:13Tijuana. Year was that. 98.
- 16:16Really. Because I went in 2002.
- 16:22Yeah, very different than this one had, like some of the old
- 16:25cobble streets. You know.
- 16:28Now it's like beautifully paved roads.
- 16:30There's actual store storefronts because there were storefronts
- 16:34then too. But we went during night time,
- 16:36not daytime, not the commerce side, and it's just a night life
- 16:41there. And this one place we went to,
- 16:42it's like $12.00, but it's open bar until 5:00 AM.
- 16:48Geez. So you pay the ticket, then you
- 16:50go in. The one thing I should have done
- 16:52was stick to beer, but I had mixed drinks and I ate the ice
- 16:59and it Montezuma's Revenge hit me immediately and I was
- 17:04throwing up constantly in there. And then I came back in.
- 17:08I'm getting the spins. And then it's a series of
- 17:11flashes of events of me getting to the border and then being put
- 17:16together enough to say American citizen while I hold up my
- 17:19military ID. And it was I.
- 17:25And then I woke up at the ship with sand in my ear.
- 17:29Yeah, see that's why I don't like drinking as much I or if I
- 17:33have drinks now it's like 1 drink because I know that I I
- 17:38don't like that. I don't like the feeling of
- 17:40drunk shitty. No control.
- 17:43Yeah, hangovers or like, but I don't remember what happened or
- 17:46I would never have done that. That's why I think they call
- 17:49them spirits because it does it can enhance your spirit or
- 17:53possess you with 1. And I think it is because you
- 17:56meet people that get you're just really shitty drunks.
- 18:01They're me, they're abusive, they're they're obnoxious.
- 18:06You get the happy ones too, but then it's like a fake cat, all
- 18:10those sad ones of the world. You get all sorts of ones, yeah.
- 18:14See, but The thing is, if I'm sad and I smoke weed, I don't
- 18:17cry. I ponder and I think about like,
- 18:21where is this coming from? Why am I?
- 18:24Why am I focusing so hard on something that really it doesn't
- 18:28have an impact on anything? I think that cannabis has
- 18:31actually allowed me to feel a lot more me too, and that's
- 18:35probably what's made me less of an asshole.
- 18:37You're. Not an asshole.
- 18:40Is that like, I don't think I like even my kids now.
- 18:45They're like, Dad, do you? I never see you cry, like, Or if
- 18:48I do cry, they're like, what the hell?
- 18:50You never cry. Yeah, I don't cry.
- 18:52Like I don't, I don't know. I just, it was something growing
- 18:55up you didn't do and being small or if you cry, you're going to
- 18:58get picked on even more so you don't cry.
- 19:03But I think that cannabis has actually given me the ability to
- 19:07be OK feeling and allowing myself to cry.
- 19:12But I'm not one that usually sit in it.
- 19:14I'll allow myself to feel it and then I'm like, OK, but that
- 19:18isn't this moment. This is the moment, the thoughts
- 19:20I'm feeling. Yeah, basically thoughts that
- 19:24cause feelings. So and then I changed that
- 19:28because I go, well, I allowed myself to cry and feel this, but
- 19:31this isn't this moment. This isn't the reality of the
- 19:33second I'm in. I'm allowed to let that go.
- 19:38I cried. I felt whatever emotion I needed
- 19:40to maybe release. So now I can hopefully process
- 19:44and move to the next stage. Yeah.
- 19:48Whereas maybe I think before I just held on to shit.
- 19:52Yeah, And you know, and that's a good perspective that I you
- 19:55saying that like it's allowed you to feel and what cannabis
- 19:59has done for me, because I was very emotional, like when I felt
- 20:02emotions, it was strong anger and sadness and love.
- 20:07But now I tend to like, I don't feel the need to constantly
- 20:14feel. I mean, when something tragic
- 20:16happens, I'm sad. But before, when life was being
- 20:21hard. I would get sad sometimes
- 20:23feeling like a failure and all that, but what cannabis has
- 20:26allowed me to do is just going, well, what can we do?
- 20:29Like it slows things down enough to my mind to go and all right,
- 20:32we don't have to have all these problems.
- 20:34And is this a real problem or is this a manufactured problem?
- 20:38And you get so introspective and and deep thinking about it that
- 20:41it allows you to be able to go cool.
- 20:44Maybe it's not as bad as I think it is because I think that those
- 20:47moments of happiness should outweigh the sadness, regardless
- 20:50of whatever is going on. And cannabis has allowed me to
- 20:55like, I mean, and many of you may feel the same way, but it
- 20:59has really brought me closer to God.
- 21:02It really has because I know the God that I believe in doesn't
- 21:06doesn't wish any bad to come upon anybody just because of the
- 21:10choices that they make. It's who are you and how do you
- 21:14live? How do you honor the two things?
- 21:17The, the, the, the biggest things that I feel to ask, like
- 21:22love me fully and then love everybody else.
- 21:24What is that teaching you? Love, love, that's it.
- 21:27It's just love, love it. It's not like either or it's
- 21:31love love. And when you start doing that
- 21:34and start going around like that event I did, I fucking smoke
- 21:38like 2 bowls before I went in. Like I fucking roasted those
- 21:42motherfuckers with some OG Kush. Sounds delicious.
- 21:46Yes it was. And I came in there just like I
- 21:50just need water. That's it.
- 21:53Anyone else parched? You have really bad cottonmouth,
- 21:56right? Now, oh man, it was, but it was
- 21:59so awesome because you know when you bring that presents and if
- 22:04you're feeling kind of worried about you know, family members
- 22:06or friends, it will look down upon cannabis.
- 22:09The only reason why they'll look down upon cannabis is because of
- 22:12you, so remove that judgement of yourself.
- 22:16And the stigma and mis education, but if you can slowly
- 22:21introduce to them the. Show who you are, you know, I
- 22:26mean, they're not going to think any less of you because they'll
- 22:28be like, wow, the only thing that's going to do, it's going
- 22:30to invite them in. Brandon has experienced that in
- 22:33depth. I, I just don't care.
- 22:35And I'm like, Yep, I do this. And but Brandon grew up in a
- 22:39very different household and, and he grew up in one that's
- 22:44very common in Utah. And that's the sad part.
- 22:47And because of that, you know, it really creates this unneeded
- 22:52divide. So let go of the the, the
- 22:55biggest thing with your family members, especially if you're
- 22:57Utahns and you if you're Mormon and you smoke marijuana and
- 23:00you're hiding it, just be awesome.
- 23:02You're more Christ like the other person.
- 23:04And don't think that as like a better thing.
- 23:06You just go in like, yeah, I'm fulfilling the call.
- 23:09I'm chilling out. I'm not judging, this strain is
- 23:12fucking awesome. Yeah, it's wild.
- 23:14It's supposed to be like a very chill, relaxed, happy.
- 23:18Like I don't feel hazy. Like it's not a hazy foggy.
- 23:23I don't feel couch locked. I just feel good.
- 23:26Yeah, I feel really good. You guys check out Jaeger, get
- 23:31yourselves a bomb. They have these little tiny
- 23:33portable ones that we don't use on the show much.

- 23:38Flick the bean on there. You know, that's we're all about
- 23:40that bean munchers, Munchers. We're a bunch of munchers.
