- 0:02Speaker 1: Hello and welcome to Outspoken. It's your dose of the
- 0:05Speaker 1: hottest influencer and pop culture news twice a week. I'm
- 0:08Speaker 1: Kate Torber and coming up on today's show, Molly May
- 0:12Speaker 1: stars in Vogue as her ex Tommy Fury faces fresh
- 0:15Speaker 1: cheating allegations, Katya Milan and Ashton Wood's friendship bust up
- 0:20Speaker 1: and Anna McAvoy's interestingly timed baby news. First, former Love
- 0:25Speaker 1: Islander Taylor Broad has sparked a bait after revealing she
- 0:28Speaker 1: won't allow her daughter to help decorate their family Christmas tree.
- 0:32Speaker 1: Taylor shared a video to TikTok discussing her plans and
- 0:35Speaker 1: added the caption, only real Christmas girlies will understand this.
- 0:39Speaker 1: Let's have a listen to what she said.
- 0:41Speaker 2: There's mums out there that.
- 0:44Speaker 2: Film with their children the christmas tree setup and i
- 0:48Speaker 2: really admire them because there's no fucking way my child's
- 0:51Speaker 2: touching my christmas tree she's asleep and i've set it
- 0:54Speaker 2: up exactly how i want it and she will not
- 0:57Speaker 2: she will not be helping until she's at the age
- 1:01Speaker 2: where she knows the placement because until then no don't touch.
- 1:06Speaker 1: My christmas tree This video has racked up over 700,000
- 1:11Speaker 1: views and has gained over 1,500 comments. It has clearly
- 1:15Speaker 1: hit a nerve with some people. Yeah, a large portion
- 1:18Speaker 1: of the commenters argued that Christmas is about spending time
- 1:21Speaker 1: with family and making memories. Some even went as far
- 1:24Speaker 1: as labeling Taylor a joy stealer. What do you think? Well,
- 1:28Speaker 1: I can see where Taylor's coming from because everybody loves
- 1:31Speaker 1: a beautiful aesthetic tree. However, I tend to agree with
- 1:35Speaker 1: the people who said that part of the joy of
- 1:37Speaker 1: Christmas is actually spending time with your family and doing
- 1:40Speaker 1: those types of Christmas activities. I don't understand why she
- 1:43Speaker 1: doesn't just redecorate the tree like most parents do when
- 1:46Speaker 1: their kids go to bed. Yeah, or do what Monica
- 1:48Speaker 1: and friends did and let all their friends decorate it
- 1:51Speaker 1: and then turn it around and have it perfect on
- 1:52Speaker 1: the other side. It's going to be an interesting one
- 1:54Speaker 1: because I like my tree decorated a specific way. I mean,
- 1:57Speaker 1: I've been known to have you and Soph and mum
- 1:59Speaker 1: over and then actually redecorate it after because I'm not
- 2:02Speaker 1: happy with some of the placement of the baubles. Like
- 2:04Speaker 1: I'll decorate my tree quite a few times to get
- 2:06Speaker 1: it perfect. But then again, like when we were a
- 2:08Speaker 1: family growing up, we didn't have an aesthetically pleasing tree.
- 2:11Speaker 1: We had rainbow decorations and really sentimental ones. And that's
- 2:14Speaker 1: what I remember and love. Like I enjoy putting mum
- 2:17Speaker 1: and dad's tree up now. Well, I've seen that big
- 2:19Speaker 1: debate on TikTok that people are saying that a lot
- 2:22Speaker 1: of their husbands are colorful light people, whereas they're the
- 2:25Speaker 1: aesthetic gold. I mean, we grew up as a colorful
- 2:27Speaker 1: light family, but I have moved on to gold now.
- 2:31Speaker 1: I actually like the idea of having multiple trees. I
- 2:33Speaker 1: saw this as a tip in this mom's Facebook group
- 2:35Speaker 1: that I'm in, and they were saying, get a tree
- 2:37Speaker 1: for your kids and have it in their room and
- 2:39Speaker 1: they can decorate that tree however they like. And then
- 2:41Speaker 1: you can have your nice aesthetically pleasing tree. But I think,
- 2:44Speaker 1: you know, have a rainbow tree, have a gold tree,
- 2:47Speaker 1: have different trees. Remember that year when we were all
- 2:49Speaker 1: living together? I think it was the last year, our
- 2:51Speaker 1: last Christmas all together. We actually bought two real Christmas
- 2:54Speaker 1: trees and one had gold and one had rainbow. It
- 2:57Speaker 1: was the best. It was so good except when we
- 2:59Speaker 1: had to remove and get rid of the trees. That's
- 3:01Speaker 1: when it seemed like not a great idea. Look, I
- 3:03Speaker 1: actually think that people need to do away with the
- 3:06Speaker 1: oh so aesthetic tree. Like, you know, the trees look
- 3:09Speaker 1: like there's no fun. They look a bit boring. I
- 3:11Speaker 1: know everybody seems to have them and all the baubles
- 3:14Speaker 1: are white. I think they're a bit 2020. Like let's
- 3:19Speaker 1: put some color into our trees again. I'm doing red
- 3:21Speaker 1: and gold this year. I love a traditional looking Christmas tree,
- 3:24Speaker 1: but I want some of my antique decorations on it.
- 3:27Speaker 1: I do like that the beige Christmas aesthetic is now
- 3:31Speaker 1: being replaced by the burgundy Christmas aesthetic this year. So
- 3:34Speaker 1: a lot of people are now putting the burgundy little
- 3:36Speaker 1: ribbons on their tree. I'm tempted to try out the ribbons,
- 3:39Speaker 1: but I don't know where to get them from because
- 3:41Speaker 1: I want that velvety one, but they're really expensive. I've
- 3:44Speaker 1: seen them on Timu, but apparently everyone's getting their credit
- 3:46Speaker 1: cards hacked from Timu. Well, I think just bring back tinsel.
- 3:50Speaker 3: No.
- 3:51Speaker 1: I want to see some beautiful gold tinsel in some
- 3:54Speaker 1: Christmas trees. You can put it on your Christmas tree,
- 3:56Speaker 1: but yeah, tinsel, as George Costanza's dad said, I find
- 4:00Speaker 1: it distracting. It's not good and it's hard to hang properly.
- 4:03Speaker 1: I did love one of the comments on Taylor's TikTok because-
- 4:06Speaker 1: A lot of people were seeing the funny side of
- 4:08Speaker 1: it because I do think Taylor was taking the piss
- 4:10Speaker 1: in general. Yeah. And someone wrote, my 30-year-old fiance still
- 4:14Speaker 1: isn't old enough to set up the Christmas tree, which
- 4:16Speaker 1: received over 3,000 likes. I don't have the issue with
- 4:20Speaker 1: Dale trying to help me with the Christmas tree. He
- 4:22Speaker 1: hates putting it up and I know your partner's not
- 4:24Speaker 1: fond of it. Oh, Rhys has no interest. I keep
- 4:26Speaker 1: telling him that it needs to go up. And unfortunately
- 4:28Speaker 1: for him, I've decided that we need to rearrange the
- 4:30Speaker 1: furniture in our lounge room because I've recently got a
- 4:33Speaker 1: playpen for Jack and it's just not going to work
- 4:36Speaker 1: where the Christmas tree used to be. So it's going
- 4:38Speaker 1: to be quite a large job. Gosh, so you need
- 4:40Speaker 1: him to help you really. I mean, I could come
- 4:41Speaker 1: around and help move some furniture. Yeah, well, he's actually
- 4:44Speaker 1: working late on Tuesday night if you want to come over.
- 4:46Speaker 1: He comes back in the room. I've seen that as
- 4:48Speaker 1: well on TikTok where some people's partners will go out
- 4:51Speaker 1: and they'll return and the girlfriend or wife has just
- 4:53Speaker 1: completely Christmified the house. Yeah. You guys know everything about
- 4:57Speaker 1: our lives, which is really fucking scary. I'm like, why
- 5:00Speaker 1: have I said all that stuff? Katia Milan and Ashton
- 5:04Speaker 1: Wood have shocked followers by closing down their newly launched
- 5:07Speaker 1: March of Business. Amy, what is going on? Well, there
- 5:10Speaker 1: is so much confusion right now about the cause of
- 5:13Speaker 1: this business closure, but there are a lot of clues
- 5:16Speaker 1: pointing towards a friendship breakdown between the pair. And I
- 5:19Speaker 1: think it's important we go through the timeline of events
- 5:22Speaker 1: to try and get to the bottom of what exactly
- 5:24Speaker 1: has gone down. So on the 15th of May, Katia
- 5:28Speaker 1: and Ashton announced they were finishing up their podcast, Common Chaos.
- 5:31Speaker 1: to begin a, I quote, new project. Now we did
- 5:34Speaker 1: speak about this in length back in May and also
- 5:37Speaker 1: about how Cartier and Ashton had spoken about how it's
- 5:40Speaker 1: hard to be an influencer and how the market is
- 5:43Speaker 1: so saturated and they were looking to do something different,
- 5:46Speaker 1: which was this matcha business. And it was a big
- 5:49Speaker 1: move for them because their podcast had a lot of potential.
- 5:52Speaker 1: I mean, we've spoken in the past about how there
- 5:54Speaker 1: are so many influencer podcasts in the market now, But
- 5:57Speaker 1: theirs really was a standout because when they launched, it
- 6:00Speaker 1: shot straight to number one on the charts and it
- 6:03Speaker 1: really legitimized their following.
- 6:05Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 6:05Speaker 1: You can tell that people were genuinely interested in what
- 6:08Speaker 1: they had to say. And it started to turn into
- 6:11Speaker 1: a podcast where they would reveal a lot about their
- 6:14Speaker 1: private lives. And that was also another reason behind them
- 6:16Speaker 1: shutting it down, that they no longer wanted to share
- 6:19Speaker 1: so many details about themselves. It did coincide with Cartier
- 6:23Speaker 1: also breaking up with that Chelsea footballer.
- 6:25Speaker 3: Yes.
- 6:26Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 6:26Speaker 1: Because both of the girls are currently living in London
- 6:29Speaker 1: and they chose to announce the closure of their podcast
- 6:32Speaker 1: on the Common Chaos Instagram account. Let's have a listen
- 6:35Speaker 1: to what they said.
- 6:37Speaker 4: We just wanted to.
- 6:37Speaker 1: Jump on and say, we love you guys.
- 6:41Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 6:41Speaker 1: Like we don't even know how to put it into
- 6:42Speaker 1: words because we haven't even processed the fact that we
- 6:46Speaker 1: have ended the podcast. We had our 100th episode that
- 6:49Speaker 1: we had to record and we were like, we should probably...
- 6:51Speaker 1: you know, announce this and do this now. And we
- 6:54Speaker 1: obviously have our new baby launching very soon, which you've seen.
- 6:57Speaker 1: So the timing kind of crazily coincided. But we wanted
- 7:01Speaker 1: to jump on and say that we don't want you
- 7:03Speaker 1: to feel like we're abandoning you. Katia and Ashton also
- 7:07Speaker 1: went on to explain that the podcast would continue for
- 7:09Speaker 1: the next few months as they played archival episodes. I'm
- 7:13Speaker 1: guessing they had some sponsorship requirements to fulfil. I mean,
- 7:15Speaker 1: I don't know who would be listening to these archived
- 7:18Speaker 1: old episodes. No, it was like reruns of their old episodes. Yeah. Now,
- 7:20Speaker 1: if we go back to the timeline, things appeared rosy
- 7:23Speaker 1: between Cartier and Ashton on the 25th of June because
- 7:27Speaker 1: they shared a TikTok telling followers they were heading out
- 7:29Speaker 1: to dinner to celebrate 10 years of friendship. So it
- 7:32Speaker 1: all seemed okay. Now, on the 29th of September, Cartier
- 7:35Speaker 1: shared a TikTok whilst she was in Paris and the
- 7:38Speaker 1: video showed her holding up one of those oversized mocked
- 7:41Speaker 1: up newspapers and the cover revealed the news that they
- 7:44Speaker 1: had just launched their new matcher company named Highline. Her
- 7:48Speaker 1: post read, Highline Matcha launched in Australia October 1. Extremely
- 7:52Speaker 1: limited stock, so be ready. Now Ashton also shared a
- 7:56Speaker 1: reel to Instagram walking around with the same newspaper whilst
- 7:59Speaker 1: holding a matcha. Her caption read, Highline is finally yours.
- 8:04Speaker 1: After building this brand from scratch and putting in so
- 8:06Speaker 1: much love and passion to bring you the best matcha
- 8:09Speaker 1: that we fell in love with over a year ago.
- 8:11Speaker 1: I have to pinch myself for this to feel real.
- 8:14Speaker 1: Love you guys and I'm crying at the support already.
- 8:17Speaker 1: So things seemed pretty normal. And then on the 2nd
- 8:20Speaker 1: of October, their last official episode of the podcast aired.
- 8:23Speaker 1: And in the opener, Cartier and Ashton again hinted at
- 8:26Speaker 1: the launch of their new much of business. Here's what
- 8:29Speaker 1: they said. We have some really exciting news for you guys.
- 8:33Speaker 1: We are working on our new baby, which we are
- 8:36Speaker 1: so excited for you guys to find out about. They're
- 8:39Speaker 1: like the new baby. What are you guys fucking cooking up? Well,
- 8:41Speaker 1: we've got a new brand coming out soon, which we've
- 8:43Speaker 1: been working really hard on.
- 8:45Speaker 2: And it's really exciting.
- 8:46Speaker 1: And I'm sure you've already probably seen the teasers. Now,
- 8:49Speaker 1: less than three weeks after, there were reports that Ashton
- 8:53Speaker 1: unfollowed Katya on Instagram. Now, Katya was still following Ashton
- 8:57Speaker 1: at this point. And followers also began to notice that
- 9:01Speaker 1: the pair were no longer commenting on each other's posts
- 9:03Speaker 1: like they normally would. Now, if we wade into the weeds,
- 9:07Speaker 1: there are rumors that the friendship may have come to
- 9:10Speaker 1: an end due to Ashton's friendship with Cartier's ex, Josh Houston.
- 9:14Speaker 1: So Ashton, as well as Cartier's other friend, Liv Grivers,
- 9:17Speaker 1: were spotted at the beach with Josh Houston. And Josh
- 9:20Speaker 1: also posted a photo of Ashton to his Instagram photo dump.
- 9:24Speaker 1: I mean, if that's not a fuck you, like going
- 9:27Speaker 1: out with your friend's ex and then him sharing photos
- 9:30Speaker 1: of it. Yeah. And especially because their other friend Liv,
- 9:33Speaker 1: who is a big influencer in the UK, she was
- 9:35Speaker 1: also in attendance. A lot of people thought, well, wow,
- 9:38Speaker 1: there really seems to be this friendship divide. And a
- 9:40Speaker 1: lot of their friends seem to be siding with Ashton. Now,
- 9:43Speaker 1: if I was Katya, I would not be happy with this.
- 9:47Speaker 1: She ended up posting a TikTok to, I think she
- 9:49Speaker 1: was trying to drop clues without saying much. So she
- 9:52Speaker 1: shared a video saying that she was in her villain era.
- 9:55Speaker 1: Now this prompted a lot of her followers to ask
- 9:57Speaker 1: if she was okay in the comments and they mentioned
- 10:00Speaker 1: that they had seen the photos of Josh and Ashton
- 10:03Speaker 1: together with Liv. Now, this is where influencer Liv Grievous
- 10:07Speaker 1: officially entered the chat. So she wrote under Katia's video,
- 10:10Speaker 1: if only you all knew the truth. What a burn,
- 10:14Speaker 1: because this has led to a lot of speculation that
- 10:16Speaker 1: maybe the problem is actually Katia. Yeah, well, when there's
- 10:19Speaker 1: multiple friends siding with one person. Well, two days before
- 10:22Speaker 1: this post, Katia had also shared a very cryptic TikTok entitled,
- 10:26Speaker 1: no revenge because our frequencies were aligned and brought up
- 10:29Speaker 1: together to be mirrors of each other's abandonment and attachment issues.
- 10:33Speaker 1: for our spiritual growth, revealing to us that only self-love
- 10:36Speaker 1: can fill that void, not people. Now, Katie, can you
- 10:39Speaker 1: translate that into normal folk speak? Non-woo-woo. I think it
- 10:44Speaker 1: means that they're so similar that if she was to
- 10:47Speaker 1: seek revenge on Ashton, that she would too cop revenge.
- 10:51Speaker 1: Is that right?
- 10:52Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 10:52Speaker 1: Or it's saying that they're so similar that, of course,
- 10:55Speaker 1: they were going to have issues with each other. I'm
- 10:57Speaker 1: not really sure. I mean, they lost me at spiritual growth.
- 10:59Speaker 1: I tuned out at that point. Now, it seems like
- 11:01Speaker 1: the final straw may have been Ashton's launch event for
- 11:05Speaker 1: her It Girl capsule wardrobe collaboration with UK influencer Grace
- 11:09Speaker 1: Beverly's clothing line, Tala. So late last week, Tala threw
- 11:13Speaker 1: an event to celebrate the launch and Katya was nowhere
- 11:17Speaker 1: to be seen. However, a big group of Cartier and
- 11:20Speaker 1: Ashton's shared friends were all in attendance. And that night,
- 11:24Speaker 1: some super sleuths found that Cartier had shared a post
- 11:27Speaker 1: on her private Instagram account saying she was crying and
- 11:30Speaker 1: asked why are girls so fucking mean. That would be
- 11:34Speaker 1: so hard for Cartier watching that all play out online
- 11:37Speaker 1: because not only does she know that she wasn't invited
- 11:40Speaker 1: to Ashton's event, but she also knows that all her
- 11:42Speaker 1: friends have literally chosen Ashton's side. And attended? Exactly. And
- 11:47Speaker 1: this is the point where it seems like Cartier has
- 11:49Speaker 1: decided to pull the pin on the business. So on Saturday,
- 11:52Speaker 1: all of Highline Matcha's Instagram posts were removed and two
- 11:56Speaker 1: static posts were shared announcing the closure. The post read,
- 11:59Speaker 1: we are writing with both gratitude and a lot of
- 12:02Speaker 1: sadness to let you know that Highline Matcha will be
- 12:05Speaker 1: closing its doors. We're deeply appreciative of your support and
- 12:09Speaker 1: enthusiasm for our Matcha brand. And it's been a joy
- 12:12Speaker 1: to serve this community of Matcha lovers. With love, Katia
- 12:15Speaker 1: and Ashton. Now, the next post read, as a small thanks,
- 12:19Speaker 1: we're offering a 10% discount on all remaining items. If
- 12:22Speaker 1: you'd like to stock up or try Highline before we close,
- 12:25Speaker 1: please use code farewell10. Maybe it should have been friendshipbreakdown10
- 12:29Speaker 1: as the code. This promotion will be available for 48 hours.
- 12:32Speaker 1: We're grateful for every one of you who has made
- 12:35Speaker 1: this journey possible and we hope you enjoy this token
- 12:37Speaker 1: of our appreciation. Jeez, if you're shutting down the business
- 12:41Speaker 1: and need to get rid of stock, I would have
- 12:42Speaker 1: thought you'd offer more than $ 10, 000. Well, the bags of
- 12:45Speaker 1: match are around $ 60 a pop as well. But it
- 12:48Speaker 1: made me think, I know the official release had both
- 12:51Speaker 1: Cartier and Ashton's name on it, but I tend to
- 12:53Speaker 1: think that Ashton has been blindsided because she still has
- 12:57Speaker 1: up the Highline link and also she tags them in
- 13:00Speaker 1: her bio. And as part of her gifting for her
- 13:03Speaker 1: Tala collaboration, there were bags of matcha being put in
- 13:08Speaker 1: these gift boxes. Probably trying to get rid of the shit.
- 13:11Speaker 1: I think Katya could just go and do whatever she
- 13:13Speaker 1: wants with the business. Surely they've signed some sort of
- 13:15Speaker 1: agreement that they both have to sign off on important
- 13:18Speaker 1: stuff like the closure of it. It's very reminiscent though
- 13:22Speaker 1: of Ashley Bynes' recent friendship breakdown with her podcast host.
- 13:25Speaker 1: It seems like everyone, maybe this is the time of
- 13:27Speaker 1: year where these friendships are breaking up. Is this a
- 13:30Speaker 1: sign not to do podcasts with your closest friends? Because
- 13:33Speaker 1: That's right, we're siblings. Yeah, we're family. We've already fought
- 13:36Speaker 1: a million times. Well, Kate, you mentioned at the start
- 13:38Speaker 1: of this segment that Ashton and Carty had spoken about
- 13:41Speaker 1: how hard it is to be an influencer at the moment.
- 13:44Speaker 1: I wonder what they're going to do now because they've
- 13:46Speaker 1: obviously invested a lot of money into this. Does this
- 13:49Speaker 1: mean that Ashton's going to have to go out and
- 13:51Speaker 1: Carty's going to go out and get a real job? No,
- 13:53Speaker 1: they don't need a real job because this has sparked
- 13:55Speaker 1: interest back in them. This is great for their personal brands.
- 13:58Speaker 1: Maybe this is a PR stunt after all. I don't
- 14:01Speaker 1: think it's a PR stunt. I think it's just a
- 14:03Speaker 1: friendship bust up. Do we think that Katia will move
- 14:06Speaker 1: back to Australia now?
- 14:08Speaker 3: I don't know.
- 14:09Speaker 1: I mean, possibly. I know the girls were living together
- 14:11Speaker 1: when they first moved over, but they haven't been living
- 14:13Speaker 1: together for a while. But if she doesn't have that
- 14:15Speaker 1: friendship group to lean on, it might mean she will
- 14:18Speaker 1: come home. Now, I just want to know. which one
- 14:20Speaker 1: of them will spill the matcha? Will it be Cartier
- 14:24Speaker 1: or Ashton? Who do you think? I think they both will,
- 14:27Speaker 1: but it will start off by Cartier. Like Cartier will
- 14:30Speaker 1: come out and say something. She'll probably play the victim
- 14:32Speaker 1: because it almost seems like her friends are ganging up
- 14:34Speaker 1: on her and then maybe the real tea will come
- 14:37Speaker 1: out later. See, I actually think Ashton will come out
- 14:39Speaker 1: and say something because Cartier's personal brand is very much
- 14:43Speaker 1: that turn the other cheek. I'm very spiritual. I wouldn't
- 14:46Speaker 1: want to ruin my spiritual peace by bitching. But Ashton's
- 14:49Speaker 1: not going to want to say anything when she's got
- 14:50Speaker 1: this huge collaboration with this brand in the UK. Like
- 14:54Speaker 1: it's not a good look. Well, I think it is
- 14:56Speaker 1: a good look because it means you're relevant and people
- 14:57Speaker 1: seem to care about your friendship. But I do think
- 15:00Speaker 1: if Ashton says something, that's just going to open the floodgates. Yeah.
- 15:03Speaker 3: I always keep Polaroids in my bag.
- 15:05Speaker 4: This one is disgusting.
- 15:07Speaker 3: If you look closely, you can see there's chewing gum
- 15:09Speaker 3: stuck to it, but I can't get rid of it
- 15:11Speaker 3: because it's a photograph of my daughter and it's not
- 15:13Speaker 3: even a good photograph. It's the only one I have
- 15:15Speaker 3: in my bag and I need to carry on all times.
- 15:17Speaker 3: I can pretend to be all like cool and put
- 15:19Speaker 3: together with this bag, but this actually is what sums
- 15:21Speaker 3: me up right here. Not just one piece of chewing gum,
- 15:23Speaker 3: two pieces of chewing gum.
- 15:25Speaker 1: Molly May has revealed she was blindsided by Tommy Fury
- 15:29Speaker 1: in her first interview since the couple's shock breakup. Molly's
- 15:32Speaker 1: revelations came just days after fresh cheating allegations were levelled
- 15:36Speaker 1: at her former fiancé. Now, this wasn't just a regular interview.
- 15:40Speaker 1: This was a spread in British Vogue with a very
- 15:43Speaker 1: iconic photo shoot. Molly looked stunning. So a bit better
- 15:45Speaker 1: than that exclusive that Tommy gave to the Daily Mail
- 15:48Speaker 1: just before the release of his memoir. Seems a bit classier.
- 15:51Speaker 1: Just a tad. Now, Molly has spoken about the breakup
- 15:55Speaker 1: briefly on her YouTube channel, but this is the first
- 15:57Speaker 1: time she's been interviewed about it. And I love that
- 16:00Speaker 1: she chose Vogue to dish the dirt Now, if you
- 16:02Speaker 1: can believe it, it's been three months since the breakup.
- 16:06Speaker 1: That is absolutely crazy. Now, I think we need to
- 16:08Speaker 1: get into some of the key takeaways from this interview.
- 16:11Speaker 1: So firstly, Molly teased that Tommy may reveal more one
- 16:14Speaker 1: day about what happened. She said, yeah, I mean, it
- 16:17Speaker 1: was a bit of a shock, the circumstances. I didn't
- 16:20Speaker 1: want what happened to happen. No one will ever really
- 16:22Speaker 1: know what went down, but Tommy and I, and that's
- 16:25Speaker 1: how we'd like to keep it for Bambi's sake. I
- 16:27Speaker 1: do think that when he's ready, like maybe more will
- 16:30Speaker 1: be said, but I think that's for him to do
- 16:32Speaker 1: on his terms. It's not like it's gossip. It's real life.
- 16:35Speaker 1: And it's, you know, it's a real deep situation. It's
- 16:37Speaker 1: really sad. Now, Tommy has come out and denied that
- 16:41Speaker 1: he cheated on Molly. And the fact that she keeps
- 16:43Speaker 1: saying only Tommy and I know about it, It seems
- 16:46Speaker 1: like she is trying to back up his claims that
- 16:48Speaker 1: no cheating was involved. But it's just so confusing because
- 16:51Speaker 1: what else would it be? Well, it's definitely still putting
- 16:53Speaker 1: all of the onus on him for the reason for
- 16:55Speaker 1: the breakup as well. I like how Molly mentioned in
- 16:58Speaker 1: the interview that people were comparing her breakup to Diana
- 17:01Speaker 1: and Charles. Oh, yeah. She's obviously been reading all the
- 17:05Speaker 1: commentary and keeping a keen eye on it all. I
- 17:07Speaker 1: think the most exciting thing for me to come out
- 17:09Speaker 1: of this interview is Molly has confirmed she'll be starring
- 17:12Speaker 1: in a documentary about her life on Prime. So this
- 17:16Speaker 1: is going to be a three-hour special and they began
- 17:19Speaker 1: filming just as Tommy and Molly split up and as
- 17:22Speaker 1: she launched her new brand, Maybe. Well, the awkward thing
- 17:25Speaker 1: is this doco was actually meant to follow the lead
- 17:28Speaker 1: up to Tommy and Molly's wedding. And Molly did say
- 17:31Speaker 1: in the interview that she had set a date in
- 17:33Speaker 1: September 2025 to marry Tommy and she was counting down
- 17:36Speaker 1: the days. But this film crew has got more than
- 17:40Speaker 1: they ever imagined, I'm sure. Molly spoke about how her
- 17:43Speaker 1: friends took her down to the Soho farmhouse and that
- 17:46Speaker 1: she was trying to get drunk and she had a
- 17:48Speaker 1: drink of rosé but just couldn't drink anymore. Because she's
- 17:51Speaker 1: not a drinker at all. No, and she said she
- 17:53Speaker 1: hates the feeling of being drunk and she got, I think,
- 17:55Speaker 1: halfway through this glass of rosé and was like, nah,
- 17:57Speaker 1: that's not for me. I'm hoping the film crew was
- 18:00Speaker 1: at Soho Farmhouse at the time. Well, it's come out
- 18:03Speaker 1: as well that this documentary is being produced by the
- 18:06Speaker 1: same team behind the Netflix series that did At Home
- 18:09Speaker 1: With The Furies. Interesting that they've sold it to Prime
- 18:12Speaker 1: rather than Netflix. I'm guessing there was a massive bidding
- 18:15Speaker 1: war for this doco. I'm also guessing that the film
- 18:18Speaker 1: crew saw how good Tommy and Molly were on camera
- 18:20Speaker 1: and were like, we need to do something with them. Oh, definitely.
- 18:23Speaker 1: And there's still so much drama surrounding this couple that
- 18:26Speaker 1: there's going to be added interest in this documentary when
- 18:30Speaker 1: it comes out because just three days prior to Molly's
- 18:33Speaker 1: interview with British Vogue, an adult content creator called Katie
- 18:37Speaker 1: Robertson claimed that she was part of the reason Molly
- 18:41Speaker 1: and Tommy broke up. And I have seen this clip everywhere.
- 18:44Speaker 1: Like it's going off on TikTok. And at first I
- 18:47Speaker 1: was like, wait a second, who is this girl? And
- 18:50Speaker 1: is this even true? Well, it's really confusing. A lot
- 18:52Speaker 1: of people have sent us this clip and I actually
- 18:54Speaker 1: tried to find the podcast, but I think it might
- 18:56Speaker 1: just be a TikTok show because I could not find
- 18:58Speaker 1: it on Apple Podcasts. Or maybe they had to remove it. Yeah. Well,
- 19:01Speaker 1: I couldn't find the whole show in general, not just
- 19:03Speaker 1: this episode. And when I first watched it, I was like, nah,
- 19:07Speaker 1: this has got to be fake. And the comments were like, nah,
- 19:10Speaker 1: like no one is believing it. Yeah, so the show
- 19:14Speaker 1: is called The Reality Check Show Podcast. Let's throw to
- 19:17Speaker 1: a clip of what she said. So how did you
- 19:20Speaker 1: have sex with Tommy Fiori?
- 19:22Speaker 4: So I was in Dubai and we was at a
- 19:25Speaker 4: club called Drift Nightclub and he'd like three guys at
- 19:30Speaker 4: the time bearing in mind.
- 19:32Speaker 1: Wait, was he with his wife? Yeah, wait, hold on.
- 19:35Speaker 1: I need a time throw.
- 19:36Speaker 4: Molly Mae wasn't there.
- 19:38Speaker 1: Was he with Molly Mae?
- 19:40Speaker 4: There was a thing back in May this year, but
- 19:43Speaker 4: Tommy was in Dubai for work.
- 19:45Speaker 1: So he was still dating. With Chris Brown.
- 19:46Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah.
- 19:47Speaker 1: Still dating.
- 19:48Speaker 4: And he had three birds plus me.
- 19:50Speaker 1: Wait, wait, wait. So he cheated on Molly May with you?
- 19:54Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 19:55Speaker 1: So wait, are you the reason why they broke up?
- 19:58Speaker 4: Part of the reason, yeah.
- 19:59Speaker 1: And the three other girls.
- 20:00Speaker 4: And I got the photo to show.
- 20:02Speaker 3: Oh my God.
- 20:03Speaker 1: What photo?
- 20:04Speaker 3: What? What?
- 20:06Speaker 1: Yeah, it's pretty crazy.
- 20:08Speaker 4: And then we'd come off in the G-Wagon. It always
- 20:15Speaker 4: going down. Oh, my God.
- 20:19Speaker 1: Oh, my God. You need to send us that. Now,
- 20:25Speaker 1: unlike the other cheating allegations that were leveled at Tommy Fury,
- 20:29Speaker 1: no one is buying these. And when I saw the video,
- 20:32Speaker 1: I was like, holy fuck, what is this? This can't
- 20:34Speaker 1: be true. And everyone was mirroring my thoughts in the
- 20:37Speaker 1: comments saying, this is bullshit. But she was so adamant
- 20:40Speaker 1: about it. Like the way she was telling it, you
- 20:42Speaker 1: were like, wait a sec, why? I don't know who
- 20:44Speaker 1: this woman is. There must be more to this story.
- 20:47Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 20:47Speaker 1: Well, she said that she has receipts. So she spoke
- 20:49Speaker 1: about how she's got videos. She didn't film Tommy's face apparently,
- 20:53Speaker 1: but she filmed on the plane with him and in
- 20:57Speaker 1: the hotel room. So it sounded legit. She's then gone
- 21:00Speaker 1: on TikTok and shared this content. And it honestly looks
- 21:04Speaker 1: like it's been Photoshopped or AI generated and not by
- 21:08Speaker 1: someone that's good at it. No, because the photo of Tommy,
- 21:12Speaker 1: it's distorted. It doesn't look like a normal person. And
- 21:15Speaker 1: it makes me wonder, is she trolling us? Well, it's
- 21:18Speaker 1: really weird because Normally, if someone did this and it
- 21:21Speaker 1: was legit, their account would blow up. They'd have so
- 21:24Speaker 1: many TikTok followers. The comments would be crazy, the reshares.
- 21:27Speaker 1: But she keeps having to create new accounts and upload
- 21:30Speaker 1: it into new accounts because she's just not getting the traction.
- 21:32Speaker 1: Or is she being banned? No, no, no. Like it's
- 21:35Speaker 1: literally that she's just trying to create shock value because
- 21:37Speaker 1: no one is buying into it. The only thing that's
- 21:39Speaker 1: happening is she is being trolled mercifully. And it is
- 21:43Speaker 1: difficult to talk about because I don't want to put
- 21:45Speaker 1: down her appearance. But a lot of people are saying
- 21:47Speaker 1: that they don't believe it. because of the way that
- 21:50Speaker 1: she looks. But I don't even think that that's the
- 21:52Speaker 1: standout thing. Because you often see men have these glamorous partners,
- 21:58Speaker 1: and then it comes out that they've cheated with somebody
- 22:00Speaker 1: who traditionally isn't the most attractive person. There's a lot
- 22:04Speaker 1: of people comparing the way this girl and Molly Mae look,
- 22:07Speaker 1: and they look very different to each other. And there
- 22:10Speaker 1: is a lot of bullying that's going on in the comments.
- 22:12Speaker 1: And normally, I would be very against this. But I
- 22:15Speaker 1: think it's because this girl has come out and been
- 22:18Speaker 1: so vulgar about it. So she isn't saying, oh, I
- 22:22Speaker 1: have regret about it. It's like she had this real
- 22:25Speaker 1: chip on her shoulder when she spoke about it and
- 22:27Speaker 1: she seemed really smug. It's the fact that it's bullshit
- 22:29Speaker 1: as well. She's literally creating photoshopped images of her and
- 22:33Speaker 1: Tommy that look fake as fuck. And that's why people
- 22:35Speaker 1: are saying, what the fuck are you doing? This is
- 22:37Speaker 1: a family. These people are real people and you're coming
- 22:41Speaker 1: out for clout. saying, lying that you've had an affair
- 22:45Speaker 1: with Tommy Fury. Yeah, it's actually backfired on this girl.
- 22:47Speaker 1: It's gross. Remember when Molly and Tommy first broke up
- 22:51Speaker 1: and that story spread like wildfire that Tommy had impregnated
- 22:55Speaker 1: that boxing manager's daughter? And it wasn't true. And the
- 22:59Speaker 1: family were all trying to shut it down. But this
- 23:01Speaker 1: girl is literally trying to get clout from creating this
- 23:05Speaker 1: fabricated story. And it's not the first time she has
- 23:08Speaker 1: done stuff like this for attention. So she actually got
- 23:11Speaker 1: a And she also got her dad fired from his
- 23:14Speaker 1: job because she was sharing videos of herself stripping while
- 23:18Speaker 1: he was watching the TV and she was throwing her
- 23:21Speaker 1: undies at his head. And he used to work at
- 23:23Speaker 1: a school as a head teacher. So he got fired.
- 23:26Speaker 1: And then there are other reports of her filming herself
- 23:29Speaker 1: masturbating while her grandfather slept. That's revolting. I'm just glad
- 23:33Speaker 1: that no one seems to be buying into her crap,
- 23:35Speaker 1: but it is alarming that these sort of rumors and
- 23:38Speaker 1: allegations can get so much attention on social media.
- 23:41Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 23:41Speaker 1: Well, Tommy is yet to comment on the allegations, which
- 23:43Speaker 1: I think is a good thing because most people can
- 23:45Speaker 1: see that they're absolutely bullshit. And in his memoir that
- 23:48Speaker 1: he released back in October, he denied cheating was involved
- 23:51Speaker 1: in the relationship breakdown. So he wrote, The allegations around
- 23:55Speaker 1: me cheating have been created by the press in line.
- 23:57Speaker 1: with their own agenda and bear no resemblance to the
- 24:00Speaker 1: reality of my situation. He also said in an interview
- 24:03Speaker 1: that the truth will come out in time and when
- 24:05Speaker 1: it does, I think a lot of people might regret
- 24:06Speaker 1: their actions and unkind words. So it is interesting that
- 24:09Speaker 1: the press have not picked up on these fresh allegations
- 24:12Speaker 1: at all. Well, I think that just cements how untrue
- 24:14Speaker 1: they are. And I wonder if Tommy Fury will actually
- 24:17Speaker 1: pursue legal action against this woman because she has made
- 24:19Speaker 1: some wild claims that are pretty easy to disprove. In
- 24:22Speaker 1: saying that, do you think that people may have believed
- 24:25Speaker 1: her if she looked a different way? I think people
- 24:28Speaker 1: might have believed her if she didn't have a history
- 24:30Speaker 1: of being a pathological liar and she hadn't uploaded bizarre
- 24:34Speaker 1: photoshopped pictures. Yeah, but I think people that didn't even
- 24:37Speaker 1: know that and have just seen her talking on the
- 24:39Speaker 1: podcast about, oh, Tommy, if you're in, I did this
- 24:41Speaker 1: and that. Like everyone was just focused on like people
- 24:43Speaker 1: were calling her Buzz Lightyear and Jay Leno and Quagmire.
- 24:47Speaker 1: As I've said, I mean. When I first saw her,
- 24:50Speaker 1: I wasn't so taken aback by her looks. She looks
- 24:52Speaker 1: like a normal girl. See, I was. I was like, oh,
- 24:54Speaker 1: that's not really who I would think that he would
- 24:56Speaker 1: be with. Yeah, but when you're drunk in a nightclub,
- 24:59Speaker 1: do you know what I mean? Like often it's they
- 25:01Speaker 1: don't go for the most glamorous girls to cheat with.
- 25:03Speaker 1: Like if you're someone like Tommy Fury, you're going for
- 25:06Speaker 1: somebody who, one, might not know who you are, doesn't
- 25:08Speaker 1: know your relationship status, et cetera, et cetera. Like I
- 25:11Speaker 1: don't think we can judge the appearance of the person
- 25:14Speaker 1: that he's cheated on. No, but what I'm saying is
- 25:16Speaker 1: people have bought into stories of Tommy cheating with these
- 25:19Speaker 1: other women when there's actually no truth to them or
- 25:21Speaker 1: no evidence and have gone, oh, it must have happened.
- 25:24Speaker 1: But with this girl saying, oh, I've got this receipt
- 25:26Speaker 1: and this receipt and this is what happened, people are like, no,
- 25:29Speaker 1: I didn't, just by looking at her. We're doing our
- 25:33Speaker 1: announcement video shoot with Hey Jack. It's really nice tonight.
- 25:38Speaker 1: It's 20 degrees. It's quiet. So hopefully no one sees. Hopefully.
- 25:44Speaker 1: I have my jacket on hiding the bumps. Former Love
- 25:48Speaker 1: Islander turned influencer and podcaster Anna McAvoy has announced she
- 25:52Speaker 1: and her husband, Michael Staples, are expecting a baby. Now, Amy,
- 25:56Speaker 1: this announcement didn't disappoint. No, because it was produced by
- 26:00Speaker 1: a Melbourne-based videographer called Hayjack, who normally specializes in wedding videos.
- 26:06Speaker 1: And the video began with shots of Anna and Michael
- 26:09Speaker 1: as children. And then it led up to this clip
- 26:11Speaker 1: of Michael singing a line of the song Ocean Eyes
- 26:14Speaker 1: whilst playing a guitar. So the They were really pulling
- 26:17Speaker 1: on all the emotional strings, weren't they? Did you feel
- 26:19Speaker 1: emotional watching it? I mean, I'm not as invested in
- 26:22Speaker 1: this couple, so I personally didn't, but I've heard a
- 26:25Speaker 1: lot of people online saying that they cried actually watching
- 26:28Speaker 1: this video. So it hit some people hard. And then
- 26:32Speaker 1: the professional version of this song took over on the
- 26:34Speaker 1: video and it went to a montage of videos of
- 26:37Speaker 1: Anna and Michael at their first scan, as well as
- 26:39Speaker 1: whimsical vision of them walking along the beach during golden hour.
- 26:43Speaker 1: Of course, there were shots of Anna's cute bump. I
- 26:46Speaker 1: did see her beautiful ring flashed a few times. It
- 26:48Speaker 1: looked stunning. And then the video ended with the caption,
- 26:51Speaker 1: baby staples coming 2025. So they didn't actually say which month. No,
- 26:56Speaker 1: they haven't said yet. I would love to know how
- 26:58Speaker 1: pregnant she is because the timing of this all is
- 27:01Speaker 1: very interesting because her podcast co-host, Matt Sikowsky, of course,
- 27:06Speaker 1: gets married to Tammy Hembrough in just a week. That's crazy.
- 27:09Speaker 1: So I'm wondering if she thought, shit, I better get
- 27:12Speaker 1: it out there because everyone's going to be looking at
- 27:14Speaker 1: what I'm wearing at the wedding. People might notice that
- 27:16Speaker 1: I've got a bump. Well, and a lot of the
- 27:18Speaker 1: time women get blamed unfairly if they go to someone's wedding,
- 27:22Speaker 1: like a high profile wedding. She might get accused of
- 27:25Speaker 1: taking the shine away from Tammy if she appears pregnant
- 27:28Speaker 1: at the wedding. A lot of people were saying that
- 27:30Speaker 1: Tammy Hembrough stole attention from her wedding. Yeah. probably wouldn't
- 27:33Speaker 1: blame her if she did do that. There was another
- 27:35Speaker 1: TikTok that Anna shared and it was showing the behind
- 27:38Speaker 1: the scenes of this video shoot. It was quite funny
- 27:41Speaker 1: because the video showed her and Michael walking down to
- 27:45Speaker 1: the beach and she had this puffer jacket on and
- 27:46Speaker 1: she's like, I'm just trying to hide the bump. I
- 27:48Speaker 1: just don't want anyone to see me. And I hope
- 27:50Speaker 1: no one spots us doing this video. And it just
- 27:53Speaker 1: made me laugh because With influences, while there are so
- 27:56Speaker 1: many people, I think she's got over 300,000 followers, the
- 27:59Speaker 1: common man who's probably walking on the beach would not
- 28:02Speaker 1: know who she was or not give a shit. In
- 28:04Speaker 1: saying that though, I think because she is adjacent to
- 28:07Speaker 1: Tammy Hembrough at the moment that it might've caused interest.
- 28:11Speaker 1: I mean, not many people would have thought that Super
- 28:14Speaker 1: Sleuths would film Tammy and Matt Sikowsky at that hotel
- 28:18Speaker 1: room a year ago. True. Maybe she thought, shit, I'd
- 28:20Speaker 1: hate it to get out like that way. What do
- 28:22Speaker 1: you think of the video announcement? Because we're seeing more
- 28:25Speaker 1: of this trend of these movie trailer style videos.
- 28:29Speaker 4: I mean, M.
- 28:30Speaker 1: Davies did a pretty similar one recently. Look, A plus
- 28:33Speaker 1: for effort, I think. I mean, they probably had to
- 28:35Speaker 1: pay this guy quite a bit of money. We did
- 28:37Speaker 1: speak about it recently when Matt Paul did a very
- 28:40Speaker 1: organic announcement. And we compared that to when Tammy announced
- 28:43Speaker 1: her pregnancy with Matt Paul back a couple of years ago.
- 28:47Speaker 1: and the difference because she did a very high quality
- 28:49Speaker 1: video too. I just can't wait to see the average
- 28:52Speaker 1: person emulating this kind of announcement, like normies doing it
- 28:56Speaker 1: because once it's an influencer trend, it starts to trickle
- 28:59Speaker 1: down into normal baby announcements. And I don't know if
- 29:02Speaker 1: it's going to translate very well, like your friend pops
- 29:05Speaker 1: up and they've done a movie trailer announcing their baby. Well,
- 29:07Speaker 1: just last week, Steph Clare Smith shared that she was
- 29:10Speaker 1: pregnant with baby number two, and she ended up just
- 29:13Speaker 1: sharing a couple of black and white photos. But she
- 29:15Speaker 1: has been drip feeding content since then. So she did
- 29:18Speaker 1: a whole podcast episode dedicated to her pregnancy. And she
- 29:21Speaker 1: also shared a really sweet video of her telling Harvey,
- 29:25Speaker 1: her three-year-old son, the news. But it was very touching.
- 29:28Speaker 1: But all I noticed was the fact that her son's
- 29:31Speaker 1: face was squiggled out with a white squiggle. Yeah, because
- 29:35Speaker 1: I hadn't seen it until today when you showed me, Kate,
- 29:37Speaker 1: because we spoke a few weeks back about how Steph
- 29:40Speaker 1: was trying to conceal her son's Harvey's identity. Now he's
- 29:43Speaker 1: a little bit older and she had pixelated him in
- 29:46Speaker 1: a recent video and we were speaking about whether she
- 29:48Speaker 1: was going to continue to do this because she copped
- 29:50Speaker 1: a lot of heat.
- 29:51Speaker 4: But I don't know.
- 29:52Speaker 1: I almost think the pixel was better than the squiggle.
- 29:55Speaker 1: It just looked bizarre. I just think if you've made
- 29:58Speaker 1: a choice that you don't want to share about him,
- 29:59Speaker 1: then why is he in all the content? Like it
- 30:02Speaker 1: doesn't really make much sense. Well, I think that's all
- 30:04Speaker 1: we've got time for today. Thank you so much for
- 30:07Speaker 1: listening to another episode of Outspoken. And if you do
- 30:10Speaker 1: like the podcast, please leave us a five-star review. And
- 30:13Speaker 1: don't forget to share where you're listening from. I love
- 30:16Speaker 1: those stories popping up on Instagram. Now, this podcast was
- 30:19Speaker 1: recorded on the traditional land of the Kaurna people of
- 30:21Speaker 1: the Adelaide Plains. We pay respect to elders past and present.
